Paige’s cheeks immediately colored as she looked up from her phone to glare at Azzi, who was quietly laughing at the text she’d just sent.

P: it’s not my fault you decided to be fancy and sit courtside

💗: Don’t start. You weren’t even planning on coming til a few hours ago

P: you just don’t love me enough to sit with me in these lowly seats

💗: 🙄 Even if I wanted to, all the seats next to you are taken

Azzi watched as bubbles popped up, then disappeared. She glanced up, but Paige was now gone from her seat, leaving behind Drew, who was busy munching on popcorn.

Sighing, she put her phone down and tried to focus on the game. She knew it wouldn’t look good on her if she was glued to her screen instead of supporting Aaliyah and the Mystics, especially with all cameras pointing at her face earlier, but she couldn’t help but miss Paige’s presence. She’d never tell the older girl, but she had checked for available seats, perfectly willing to sacrifice her free court-side spot in order to be with her girlfriend and their little brother. But apparently everyone and their mother had wanted to watch this game tonight, and all the rows in the arenas were jam packed.

She felt her phone vibrate with a notification. Her fingers itched to swipe and respond to Paige, but she forced herself to wait until at least a free throw was called before opening her phone again.

P: you might wanna turn your brightness down

Azzi glanced nervously around her, but everyone else was focused on the game. Feeling slightly less feminist at how little she was actually paying attention, she hunched over her phone and dimmed the screen.

Her thumb tapped on the file, and the image opened up on her phone. Oh.

Azzi slammed her phone down, trying to fight the blush from coating her cheeks. She looked up, and Paige was back in her seat now, a knowing smirk on her face as she stared down at Azzi.

Annoyed, Azzi shook her head. “Stop it,” she mouthed.

Cocky, Paige raised an eyebrow. Stop what?

Azzi rolled her eyes. She couldn’t just get up and go to the bathroom in the middle of the game, but she could feel the tightening of her core just from seeing the photo Paige sent for only half a second.

Paige must’ve recognized her inner battle, because she raised her arms in what would look like an innocent stretch to everyone else, but to Azzi, she knew that Paige was intentionally letting her jersey ride up to expose the toned flatness of her abs. Azzi’s eyes flickered down to Paige’s stomach before going back to her face, and Paige wet her lips before nodding at her phone.

P: just say the word and i can be in the bathroom in two seconds

💗: You’re a terrible friend to Aaliyah, you know that?

P: this could’ve all been avoided if you would’ve just sat with me🥰

Azzi groaned at her girlfriend’s pettiness. She would never be able to live this down.

💗: The answer is still no

💗: You’re going to regret this so bad later.

“You think you’re funny?” Azzi moved closer to Paige, making her back up til she hit the wall. Paige stayed silent, a little smirk on her lips.

“You’re gonna drop the fucking attitude right about now,” Azzi said, fingers easily slipping under Paige’s jersey and roaming across her sides, causing Paige’s eyes to flutter shut as she basked in the warmth of Azzi’s touch.

Azzi’s breath fanned across Paige’s lips. “What, you were all talk just a few minutes ago, and suddenly you don’t know what to say?” she mocked.

Paige groaned, trying to move in closer for a kiss, but Azzi gripped her hips and held her in place. “You can’t be mad at me for missing you,” Paige complained with a pout. She reached down and tried to fumble at the zipper of Azzi’s pants, but her hand was swatted away.

Azzi let her lips graze Paige’s, but firmly pulled back as soon as Paige leaned in for more, leaving the blonde chasing. “This is gonna be a lot worse when we get home, just wait.” She separated herself from Paige and turned around to unlock the bathroom door. Paige stayed where she was against the wall, chest heaving as she glared at Azzi.

“Fix your hair and your jersey before you leave,” Azzi said scathingly. “You look like a mess.” Then she was gone.

I'm gonna say it; Hiccup did nothing wrong. We're treating him as the biggest problem of THW when literally his worst crime in is somehow losing his freckles and that's not even something he has control over. Oh and that kind of incredibly stupid plan of literally moving an entire people by going "let's just fly straight until we hit something :) even though I, Hiccup Haddock, somehow don't believe the world is round."

The entire rest of the movie is everyone else around him being horrible and out of character.

Berk is a mess in the beginning of the movie, yes. But it was also just a year ago that his father was horribly murdered in front of him because Draco Bloodyfist-Or-Whatever decided to sent his mind controled best friend after him. Everybody expects Hiccup to be put together and solve all problems immediately and remain a Dragon Rider when he should be buying a therapist a mansion and a yacht with all those billed sessions.

Then there is being told more than once that he's putting Astrid second when he literally isn't. And told he should meet her standard.s

There is all that stuff about how he's been a horrible pet owner to Toothless when he had legitimate and real fears about Toothless not making it out in wild and about the Light Fury turning on him and about him not coming back. (Like... he's a disabled dragon, for Gods' sake??? Toothless will literally NOT make it without human intervention)

He's called out for not embracing change when his name was literally synonymous with change before THW and every bit of change he proposes in the movie is met with backlash unless Astrid, their not-chief, says it's okay.

His mother, who abandoned him for 20 and came home with him after the traumatic loss of his father spends most of the movie not being the mother she promised him to be in the second movie and even advocated for the Riders to be less dependent on dragons when she was with dragons for the entirety of those 20 years.

And then there is all the bullying. Making fun of his voice, telling him- a disabled person- to LOSE THE LIMP, telling him he's not worthy of Astrid the warrior goddess (completely forgetting how Hiccup is both parts warrior and diplomat in at least the previous two movies, let alone the movies and the shows) and these three things are all said by Tuffnut! "Forgets he has a sister in THW" Tuffnut!

And let's not forget Snotlout's "who died and made you chief?!" when Snotlout was literally crying at Stoick's funeral. And then proceeds to hit on the dead man's wife and his best friend's mother while also putting said best friend down!

Like... none of the things said to him in the first movie were as bad as some of the things said in THW.

The entire movie is also basically Hiccup being pulled from one direction to the other.

It's "You're a bad chief because you're not changing anything" yet it's also "how dare you make this change!"

It's "you should step up as chief" yet it's also "we will only listen if Astrid says it's good."

It's "you were literally keeping Toothless captive for 6 years :/" yet it's also "Uuuhhh, time to cut the umbilical cord, don't you think? 🙄"

It's "you let Toothless go free, what did you expect?" yet also "uh, you let him go???"

It's "you are literally nothing without Toothless, sorry :/" yet it's also "Toothless only showed you what was already inside."

It's "you should put Astrid first for once" yet it's also "I, Hiccup, will literally listen to every single word you, Astrid, says even if it's hurtful."

It's "I, Astrid, will suggest to you, Hiccup, that we go find Toothless in the hidden world" yet it's also "I, Astrid, will blame you, Hiccup, for deciding to go to the Hidden World, making the Light Fury, who you have no control over, to follow us back home"

It's "hey man, can you help me with this dragon tail? :(" yet it's also "I will literally not listen to you when I'm about to break this branch that I and the dragon tail are on."

I mean, my God! I'd sent the dragons away if I had to listen to that for the past year after I watched my father die a gruesome death.

And that's not even the worst part. The worst part is Toothless abandoning Hiccup for the most shallow reason there is; chasing dragon tail that doesn't even want anything to do with him unless he does something that impresses her when he's the king of the dragons.

So yeah, probably an unpopular opinion, but besides one bad plan, Hiccup did nothing wrong besides listen to what all the people around him were saying, no matter how much they contradict themselves.

Really, what he needs is a hug. A Real one. :(

i feel like in college, aaron went to the occasional party, BUT in high school, he went to parties weekly. if someone was throwing a house party on a friday or saturday night, he was 100% there. all his friends frequented parties. like he had just gotten back from military school, and while it shaped him a ton, he still wanted to rebel a bit - his bad boy tendencies hadn't gone away completely, he just had a bit more control over it. like in his high school, he was the guy who was a bit nerdy and followed the rules and all, but he got along with everyone. and so he was always invited to numerous things, and he wasn't afraid of letting loose at such. he was one of the cool not-so-cool guys, if that makes sense. AND everyone totally had a crush on him 🤭

when he and haley got together, he mellowed out a bit and stopped partying as much, but when they would go to the occasional party together, she was always his beer pong partner 😭 UGH just the vision of a young aaron at a party >>> 😵‍💫 with haley glued to his side, his arm around her waist at all times </3

and so, he's had a ton of practice and experience when it comes to beer pong:

SO now, you're all having a get together at penelope's apartment - like one of her day of the dead parties - she and derek set up the beer pong table. it's a few games later when aaron's asked to play; he agrees but mentions how he "may be a little rusty" and everyone thinks he's saying that simply as a cover - like oh he's going to be shit at it but that's his excuse why 🙄 BUT clearly they're wrong and HE destroys everyone.

and while everyone else is dumbfounded and questioning everything they thought they knew in life LOL, you just can't pull your eyes away from him 😮‍💨 aaron's wearing a short sleeved shirt, so you can see his muscles flexing every time he raises his arm to toss a ball. or you can't help but stare at his neck every time he raises his head to drink a cup 😵‍💫😮‍💨🤤 he's just oozing confidence, he's cocky in a nonchalant attractive kinda way - like he knows he's good and isn't afraid to show it <33333333 and he's showing off for you, to impress you and he's just glowing every time you cheer him on, it just urges him on 🥰 he's laughing and smiling and just looks relaxed for once, simply enjoying himself.

hehe i love to think this would take place when aaron and you are just in the very beginning of your relationship too 🤭 nothing is labeled just yet, but you know he has a thing for you, and he knows you feel the same 🥰 the two of you have shared some kisses, spend your weekends together, AH hehe and all the beginning-of-relationship nervous jitters are still there 💓💕💓💓

he's driving you home (he didn't drink too much and isn't tipsy or anything - don't drink and drive 🫵🏻) and you turn to him, all flirty, amused, still a bit in shock, and say, "i didn't know you were a master at the art of beer pong"

Honestly everything that happened with Cressida was so unnecessary especially when taken in to account the fact that she had told Eloise all season about how she needed to find a husband or she was going to get married off to an older man and it was actually going to happen had she not pulled the Whistledown stunt.

And then Eloise calling her a Viper??? Really showed that she had never really listened to what Cressida has said when Cressida has listened to her endless rambles (kinda of the only time we see her kinda listening is at the ball where she see Debbling is finally alone and goes over to him). Not only didn't listen but also didn't care it really made me realize that Cressida was a place holder for Eloise and she was using her and here was Cressida thinking she actually made a friend when she hadn't.

Like Eloise could've spoken up for Cressida with the whole blackmailing situation she knew why Cressida needed the money and could've been like "oh Colin that might not be a good idea for you to go. And she's actually doing this to get out of marrying an old man" because if she said that not only would it have given everyone some sort of understanding but also Portia Featherington would've understood immediately.

So much for Cressida could've happened if she was given her money and everything else but also if Eloise had advocated for her knowing what she knew but her not doing so provide that unless the conversation is not focused on what she can relate to she's not listening at all.

I liked Eloise, but honestly, I can't at all with her right now. Also, with the fact of everyone wanting for her to be gay 🙄 after everything she's done to show that she isn't even a girl's girl I doubt she would even be for the girls romantically.

Also, aside note, did anyone see those like dark, almost black marks that Cressida's mom had on her arms. There's a scene when Cressida's version of Whitledown was being handed out she pulls up her glove, which slipped, and you can kinda see black marks. Like, does it have something to do with her hate for the Bridgerton? Was it Cressida's fathers doing?

Anyway, Eloise is a bad friend, and she is definitely not a feminist or a girl's girl.

okay. i just watched the movie Snakeskin (2001). i bought a physical dvd in the year of our lord 2024 because Taika has 6.5 minutes of screentime in it. and now i'm sitting here trying to process wtf i just watched asjdhfdjsk so here are the highlights (thank you Meow @blakbonnet for going through this experience with me)

main character Alice (Melanie Lynskey) is a huge fan of ✨America✨. her best friend is in love with her but she only wants Bad Boys. also said friend's name is Johnny but it's actually Craig

their hobby is to drive around picking up hitchhikers but only those who look not boring

enter The American. this guy is the most American you have ever seen. americans wish they could be as American as this guy. no one else has ever Americaned harder.

as you can see, i'm not lying. he even says "howdy ma'am" so we're convinced he is a real American

three skinheads are after The American because he stole their drugs (i think). he also stole drugs from Nelson and Daisy, who now owe money and/or drugs to their boss, who also has beef with The American for reasons i'm still not totally sure of

lots of shit goes down (i won't spoil too much if by any chance you still want to watch this) and it turns out that the older skinhead guy is the best actor in the movie??

and NOW things get weird

Craig and The American have so much beef by now that they decide to solve it by russian roulette

Alice's reaction to this is something like "ugh, you guys are crazy, i can't watch this 🙄"

like she just walks away?? GIRL THEY'RE AIMING A REAL GUN AT EACH OTHER

and then. AND THEN.

ok this is where i fully lost it for several minutes and missed half the following scene. i was fucking HOWLING like actually crying with laughter, i couldn't see or breathe and my partner got worried ksjdhfdjsk ok so here's what happens

they're in the car. craig is obviously very dead. alice is kinda in denial i guess. The American tells her to shut his eyes and she's like why? BECAUSE HE DEAD GIRL!! but she doesn't, she doesn't shut his eyes, no, this is what she does instead

I COULD BARELY MAKE THIS GIF BECAUSE I KEPT LAUGHING TO THE POINT OF TEARS

ANYWAY shortly after this we hear one of the funniest lines in the movie (and it's not even about the shooting and killing of Craig):

Sooooo I watched the new Descendants movie.

I have a LOT of things to say about it.

I won't talk about the fact that everyone goes to the same school because it's already been talked by many and many people. Yes it's dumb, we can all say that and agree on this point.

The first thing I need and want to say is the songs. I listened to the songs of the first three movies, and there really wasn't THAT MUCH auto-tune.

All the songs in the new movie are very autotuney, you can hear how much post-production there is.

This, and the fact that EVERY SONG has part where they talk/sing. I don't know if there's a word for it. It's like they were like "young people love rap and pop, so we will do a mix of this!" but it's not rap, and it's not really pop.

And that's the thing I'm the most mad about. I love the songs that Disney Channel offers us, and I think it's the first time where no song really hit me.

Now, let's talk about the plot. I wasn't expecting that ending. The fact that they succeed wasn't something I predicted. Because in everything that involves Time Travel, we're always told that changing the past would change the future and that it could have some repercussions that won't be good.

I was really expecting them to be the one who would provoc the prank as they were meddling. I thought that Ulyana would have the book thanks to them making a mistake or something like that.

I also really thought that we would see that ball before they go back. Because what if it wasn't Ulyana but someone else who pranked Bridget? Then they would have done everything for nothing.

The end confirms that changing the past will have repercussions but I don't really want another movie with Ulyana coming back as an adult or something else. 🙄 Or just, I don't want another movie PERIOD.

Also, I want to talk about the beginning.

So you're telling me that Mal, Ben, Evie and Jay left and they let Uma in charge of the kingdom? Like wtf bro.

Why would they let UMA of all the people in charge? I thought that Uma would just be the principal, not in charge of everything...

Ben's parents are still alive, they can retake their throne for a moment, while continuing Ben's policies for the time he's away.

(Even though, the king and queen shouldn't left their kingdom like that, without a heir, because you know... Frozen? Tangled the serie? An accident can happen really fast)

Oh and, Uma said Auradon was created 30 years ago, so it's been nine/eight years since Descendants? (Mal said 20 years ago at the beginning of the first movie) And it's just now that they decide to leave? 🙄

About the plot of the movie, I didn't find it really entertaining, I won't say it was a bad moment watching this, but I won't say that it was a good moment either... It was okay, at best.

The characters were not that good and except Red, and maybe the young Ella for her talk to Chloe, I can't say that I like them.

You're telling me that Cinderella's OWN DAUGHTER doesn't know what her mom past was?? She doesn't know she was abused and treated like a servant by her stepmother and her stepsisters??

No wonder that Chad was like that if they were raised as royals and never learned about anything else. She doesn't know how to wipe the floor. She touched a vase and it broke?

What did their mom taught them?? I was very happy to have Brandy and Paolo back at first, but if it's to portray them as royals and that's all, then what's the point??

Ella was Bridget's best friend, she said "let's go together to the ball" but when she was there, she left her for the prince?? 🙄 And then, Bridget got back to her kingdom and never saw Ella again?

That's not what I call a best friend. Evie is Mal's best friend because she acknowledged what Mal went through, and she told her that it was okay if she wanted to stay on the Isle, that it didn't mean they wouldn't stay friends. They had a beautiful duet in Descendants 2 about their friendship. And through the movies, they showed that they were there for each other.

When Evie needed comfort after Chad? Mal was there, telling her she was smart.

When Mal got her first date? Evie was there.

When Mal ran away to the Isle, Evie felt bad for not noticing what was happening to her best friend, and got back there, even though we know that she hates this place.

When Mal got cursed by Audrey, Evie was there, telling her she was still beautiful, and she accompanied her to the Isle.

When Doug was asleep and Evie was doubting about their love? Mal (and Uma) were there, telling her to try it. Mal knew that it would work because she knew that they both loved each other.

In every occasion, the three original movies showed us what it was like being a best friend. And in the fourth one, it didn't work. Nor with Bridget and Ella, nor with Red and Chloe. (Even if it's arguable that it's the beginning of Red and Chloe's relationship so who knows in the future?)

But the point was that Ella wasn't a good friend to Bridget if she just let her deal with Ulyana's prank. And if she said that it was just a prank, without considering the effect it might have on Bridget.

But it doesn't mean I hated everything. I liked the hommage to Carlos/Cameron. The picture of him, Uma talking about what he would have wanted... You know it's not just acting, and that China was really emotional because Cameron was a good friend of hers.

I liked Red's character, how she doesn't want to be like her mom, how she does what she wants, and she doesn't care. She stays herself through the movie and I like that.

I wish I could say that I like Chloe but unfortunately it's too soon. I need to see her growing, and understanding what the young Ella told her. She needs to learn that not everything is easy for everyone in life.

(oh and can someone explain me WHY she'll be the next queen if she has an older brother? As if Chad wouldn't be interested to be the next ruler. And as if his parents wouldn't let him have the throne because of what he did in the Descendants movies. He was still a teenager, he can always grow up. Especially after what Audrey did to him, it change a man)

I realized that it's already a big post, so I will stop here I think. There's so many things I could say, but I think I talked about the main points.

Overall, it was not a bad film per se, but not a good one either. I wished the songs were better and fited the actors' voices better.

(Like, Dara Renee has a great voice, her villain song could have been a big ballad with some big high notes that we know she can sing.

Also, Rita Ora has a great voice, I'm not her fan, but she CAN sing, and her song was meh. Too much talking. At least Brandy got "So this is love" to show her beautiful voice a bit.)

Just a little rant about HOW MUCH I FUCKING HATE NARUTO FANBOYS OH MY GAAWWWDDDD besides the obvious reasons (homophobia, misogyny, incels) they worship the shit outta the worse characters ever like Shikamaru and Itachi and Hinata. Like I just saw on the Naruto Reddit (my fault, I know, but I searched something up about Naruto and the first link discussing that was Reddit) and they all used that stupid dumbass filler where Shikamaru was asking his dad about Naruto and why everyone hates him and how he doesn't hate him (even tho in CANON he did 😤) and they all said not only is he a better friend to Naruto than Sasuke ever was but (here we go again) Sasuke's more of a brother 🙄 and they also said Sasuke treated Naruto like trash and was the worst friend 🤦🏻‍♀️ like it's so insane to me the dudebros lack of brain and reading comprehension. Like how do you as a grown ass man not know the difference between what's actually real and what's not about what you're watching? Or maybe it's that they just hate Sasuke so much and how much Naruto loves him and keeps talking about him and how he's his best friend in canon (he said it way too much for me to believe that even these ugly incels couldn't understand) that they'd rather give the credit to someone else that isn't a threat and doesn't make Naruto act borderline homosexual. Oh and they obviously ignore Shikamaru's blatant misogyny and still consider him the best thing ever because why would they care 🙄 anyway end rant, sorry. I think it’s obvious if you’ve read the Manga. I wonder if they’ve only seen the Anime and just don’t bother checking what is canon first. So much is changed from Kishimoto’s original. (Has anyone seen that twt discussion on filler? I’d love to read your opinions on it.) 

I mean, Hinata’s supposed backstory with Naruto is just ridiculous, but I don’t understand why people think Naruto was friends with any of them? Even if it’s shown in filler that Naruto was around them or they asked their parents about Naruto... what makes fans say they were friends? 

Sasuke was the only one who acknowledged Naruto with a smile and they weren't even friends until much later.

Right before the exams, Shikamaru tells team 7 not to die. Not because he’s worried for them, but because he believes they’re not capable, largely because of his lack of faith in Naruto. While Naruto calls them idiots and insults both Shikamaru and Hinata as he introduces them to the reader. 

'A big mouth idiot' and a 'weirdo' (I believe he actually also called her creepy but I can't find the translation, but remember when Kushina told Naruto not to go for a weird girl? She used the same words xD) And then Shikamaru immediately wanted to target Naruto in the forest of death.

Had either of them at any point been friendly to Naruto or whatever, then we would’ve known here and Naruto wouldn’t have insulted them like he did (as is his right) because he craved a connection more than anything. It’s ridiculous how the Anime at times just blatantly ignores the lonely misery Naruto had to grow up in (ALONE) in favor of these other characters. As if sugarcoating that would make any of them look less bad. And don't get me started on Hinata during that written test because it's no wonder Naruto got so confused and didn't trust her "kindness".

Regardless, I think a lot of Naruto-fans who tend to glorify any of these friendships and extending it for what it is largely do so because they side with a narrative regarding the system and don't get why Sasuke (and others) challenged it in the first place. Brushing it off like it was some evil, selfish thing. I personally like Shikamaru's development and who he is as a character in the end because him showing change might've been very helpful in actually changing the system had they worked towards that. But you know... we'll never know.

how did you start learning tattooing? what made you want to try it?

ohh... hm. Well. Okay to be so honest and short and easy with you I was really depressed and having my quarter life crisis and so I picked it up as a way to try and get myself back on track with like. being alive + doing something semi-meaningful with my life lol

here's the longer detail stuff that I fear is a bit too tenderhearted to just have out in the open

near the end of last year (november-ish) I was yapping with a friend of mine from art school who ended up getting into tattooing after we had graduated, and explaining that i didn't like how publishing illustration was treating me and i felt like i was spinning my wheels and going nowhere. so she really encouraged me to give tattooing a shot? because I needed to do something different and she thought my art style could be really well suited for tattooing... and ofc i've been tangentially aware of tattoo culture but i was always kind of too scared that I wasn't like........ GOOD OR COOL ENOUGH? FOR IT? it seemed very intense and like there wasn't going to be room for me yknow. but anyways after talking with my friend i started doing a lot of research about like.. the history of tattoo culture and how techniques developed over the centuries and what are the popular styles now and what modern health/safety expectations of tat artists are now etc. just kind of taking it all in. following a lot of artists on social media etc and talking to my friend about what her apprenticeship entailed... but I bought myself a shitty cheap tattoo kit online in december and spent most of december-february just trying to teach myself how to handle a rotary pen machine and get a feel for it? and basically spent all of my time either playing around with my machine and fake practice skins or drawing or researching about tattoo history. and then in february/march I redid my whole portfolio with some neo trad designs + my other illust work and started visiting some local shops and basically just begging for 15 minutes to talk to someone in the industry and figure out if I was hopeless or not lmaooo. I went to about five shops and got soundly rejected / turned down from all of them, so I was really taking it as a sign that I should give up? but then the last shop I was going to try was like. idk it felt different and way more optimistic than everywhere else I'd tried at.... the artists on break at the time all took a chance to look thru my portfolio and talk to me, the shop owner is an angel, and so we went from "can I just ask for your professional opinion on if I suck at this or not" to getting introduced to everyone as they were working like "this is isabel she's gonna be our new apprentice!😊" which was!!!!!! CRAZY.

and so it took about two weeks after that before one of the more experienced artists in the shop was like 🙄 Fine I will teach another fucking apprentice I guess. Whatever. and I was like oh no he hates me. (turns out there's some shop lore about how awful the last apprentice was and everyone was kind of waiting to see if I'd turn out the same way) so I've just been working really hard ever since to prove I'm serious and now I'm everyone's favorite little idiot in my shop eheheh

but yeah! so I've been apprenticing officially in my shop since the end of march!!! just learning and trying to be helpful for my artists and trying to take it on the chin that I'm brand new and still learning and have a long way to go yet without getting miserable about it... but I feel very optimistic and way better now than I did in december, and everyone in my shop is soooo so kind and encouraging of my progress it really does feel like... Oh there is hope for me after all!

but yeah anyways. I just wanted to have an archive of my work as I progress and improve? so now everyone who follows my stupid ass blog has to bear witness to me being slightly bad at tattooing for months yet xoxoxo

Why is she back then if she's not gonna stay with her sons? they're literally all she had left in the world. everyone else she would've known is long gone. they could've just brought back John (which I now they do in season 14 for 1 episode) to get John's reaction on how his sons have changed since 2006 when he died. they could've discussed Adam - that would've been fun 🤣🤣🤣

if they're gonna keep Mary around, the one whose death started the Brothers on their journey, keep her around! have the boys & their mom struggle to reconnect, get to know one another - let Mary see her sons as they are for better or worse and let them talk about it! let them talk about her and John and their parents' marriage, the good the bad and the family of if all. let them talk out their issues or try to Even if they fail! just cuz they talk doesn't mean they're able to solve and heal their trauma in 1 sitting. that shit takes time. it could take months, years. wasted opportunity.

***during Lucifer's mini arc this season I'm reminded of Misha's commentary on the acting advice he got from main devil actor Mark Pelligrino on portraying the infamous figure - he either wanted to kill/fuck the one he's talking to - it definitely seemed that way this season during Mark's scenes. ironic considering his previous work on Lost - anyone remember that show?

Thankfully the MoL are FINALLY dealt with after a rousing speech from Sam fucking Winchester who leads the charge to take those British tarts down, complete with exploding their makeshift headquarters! Dean meanwhile stayed behind to help his mom who's been completely brainwashed by the MoL - which is indicative of Dean's characters as a callback to season 1 - he just wanted his family together!

What Dean told his mom in her head is what he should've said from the very beginning- sure it would've hurt her feelings, possibly cause a mild heart attack but it needed to be said so Dean & Mary could heal as a family!

Thank God Ketch is as dead as the rest of the MoL he was such a creep!

Crowley died - he was THAT determined to take the devil down. in the long run its not gonna work since Luci will be back eventually but there's something to be said about Crowley's arc considering this is the last we see of the cheeky little devil. I recall prior seasons where he seemed downtrodden in certain scenes, about the futility of his plays for power, his schemes going tits up often because of someone else. I think Mark Shepard said something about taking his character as far as he could or something like that.

not many TBH I didn't like this season much cuz of the wasted potential with Mary and the brothers and the lack of Castiel. and Crowley for that matter. the season had a good start and it finished in a way that was interesting BUT

12x10 - Dean and Castiel fighting was HILARIOUS. They seriously should've gotten a spinoff even if they only ever remained as innocent platonic friends. it would've been so funny.

and awww...Dean is Castiel's human weaknesss - YEAH NO SHIT HONEY!!!!!

Omg I don't even know where to begin with her💀💀 Megan did a photoshoot for sports illustrated magazine and not only did they edit the hell out of her pic but omfg the interview....... I'm convinced the only reason mew gets "bad friend" allegations is bc they want their fave character to be coddled and enabled. now if he did THAT then he would be a shitty friend but he is telling ray exactly what he needs to hear. especially after years of the same exact cycle and nothing changing. and even then mew is way too forgiving imo bc if someone did half the shit that ray did to me I would walk away for good. and I think a lot of this fandom forgets that trauma can be a reason for things but it's not an excuse especially when you are grown and know exactly what you need to do but still refuse to do it. (sorry if this seems unsympathetic or whatever I'm just very tired of the babying of a certain character)

ray is an adult who is responsible for his own actions, full stop. and the craziest part about all this is that mew does kind of enable him: he goes drinking with him and forgives him even when he crosses lines he never should have crossed. i agree that mew is too forgiving, and it looks like he's going to forgive him again. not only did he ruin mew's birthday by sharing the audio, ray then yelled at and talked shit at all their friends (while high) and accosted/physically threatened mew's boyfriend and other "best friend" (😒). mew only punched ray because he was picking a fight with everyone and threatening to out top, again, in front of all their friends and on his birthday - and he wouldn't stop after being repeatedly told to and asked to leave.

and same, anon, if my friend did that to me i'd cut him out. the only way that i would let him back in my life is if he got 100% sober, and he'd have to be for a while. as far as i'm concerned, ray burned the bridge himself. i'd tell him, "this is your rock bottom, finally do something about it." and often, cutting someone off is the wake-up call they need to figure their shit out. (but it looks like ray's car crash in the next episode is going to be his wake-up call.)

but you're right, mew keeps telling him he shouldn't day drink, do drugs, and drive while under the influence.

side-note: when boston agreed to take ray home and therefore ray was actually his responsibility, he abandoned him and fucked off to have sex with a stranger lol

i mean, i'm not saying that anyone who thinks mew is a bad friend automatically thinks that boston is a good friend but still. above all, mew values autonomy. he makes his own decisions and he expects others to live the same way: this includes ray. he wants what he thinks is best for them (and he's usually right), but he believes they should think and act for themselves.

(you know, even when he, ah, incentivizes them, re: top's drug use lol it's still top's decision. mew doesn't want a boyfriend who does drugs and he wants to have sex. two birds, one stone.)

we're years into their friendship now, and ray has been an alcoholic and drug ab/user since they were twenty, maybe even earlier if he was drinking underage. the flashback where mew saves his fucking life (oh, it's only good when sand does it?🙄), ray already has a drinking problem and has gotten himself into trouble because of it, having to lean on mew multiple times to the point that mew is obviously frustrated about being called in the middle of the night after the umpteenth time. which is understandable! it's not mew's job to be at ray's beck and call; he's not his dad, he's not his boyfriend - and even then, that's a lot to put on anyone when you don't even seem to try to be changing (he's literally drinking in the next scene! okay!!!!! is mew supposed to smack it out of his hand in order to be a "good" friend? again, autonomy!!!!). ray says he's a burden but he doesn't do anything about it. mew's been his dedicated "emergency staff" again and again, and it's not his responsibility to take care of ray all the time.

ray's biggest problem is that he thinks he doesn't have a problem: he'll get so drunk (and high) he can barely walk and he'll say he's not drunk and then try to drive!!!!!! that shit isn't okay!!! in fact, it's inexcusable!

you know, i was thinking that the "superiority complex" allegations against mew were about his being (slightly) judgmental about boston sleeping around (which mew obviously only says because he wants him to be happy. even if he has a narrower idea of happiness, he just wants what he thinks is best for boston - but he doesn't shame or even tell boston he should settle down, even while boston is constantly saying that mew should lose his virginity to the point of obsession🙄 anyway), but it might have more to do with ray, and mew having a problem with him drinking himself to death lol

mew is the only one to tell ray he should stop drinking and using drugs and... that means he has a superiority complex? being worried about his alcoholic friend whose mom died of alcohol poisoning? he's the only person who tells him to stop drinking and using - that doesn't make mew a bad friend, that makes him ray's only good friend. even sand, who has had to physically struggle with ray to keep him from driving under the influence, LITERALLY SUPPLIES HIM WITH ALCOHOL AND DRUGS OH MY GOD

all this to say, you're so right, anon. wayyyyy too many folks in this fandom will find any reason to excuse ray's behavior, no matter who he hurts or how bad it gets. nothing is ever his fault despite making his own decisions and taking his own actions and facing his own consequences.

You’re On Your Way to Bariatric Surgery…But Your Loved Ones Have Mixed Feelings. Now What?!

Now this topic right here…is the KICKER.

You are on your way to bariatric/weight loss surgery but some of your family and friends don’t understand why you chose that route. “Can’t you just eat less and exercise more?” “You’re not even THAT fat so you don’t need it!” Or you get the folks that have heard these conspiracies about folks eating so much after surgery that their new stomach/pouch explodes and they die…yeah I’ve heard all of this, too.

You can’t control everyone’s opinions about WLS but you can control how you respond to them.

First of all, your body - your choice. Ultimately, you are the one that knows what is best for you and your health. No one else can tell you that. They obviously don’t live in your body so how would they know what you need to get healthy? In my journey, I had got to a point where my appetite was outrageous and I could no longer put on my clothes comfortably. I was huffing and puffing trying to put on shoes 🙄 I couldn’t take walks without my ankles swelling so much to where I had to sit and let the pain ride on. I knew I had to do something. I tried the gym, eating less, restricting (which is a BAD idea) and it didn’t work. That’s why I decided to go the WLS route and it was (and still is) the best option for me.

Second of all, keep yourself educated on all things WLS. This helps with dispelling those WLS rumors. Ask your doctors questions. Find workshops or classes related to WLS. Find “peer reviewed” articles and sources to learn. This helps you have a well rounded knowledge of WLS and to help educate your loved ones on what actually happens. Will they still bring up dumb stuff? Oh yeah! As long as you keep educating them, they’ll eventually understand your choice…or they won’t and that is still OKAY!

Lastly, this is the hardest thing to grasp and accept but there are going to be individuals that will not open their minds to the WLS world. They are going to say things like, “WLS is the easy way out” which grinds my everlasting gears. They won’t ever understand. And some of these people will be your own folks! The best thing to do is pray for them (I’m Christian so that’s what I do personally) and leave them be. You don’t need that kind of negativity in your life. WLS and this journey is hard enough on us and we have to stay focused on the task at hand!

I’m going to try and post every Saturday from now on. It’s the only day I get to focus on this project. Thanks for reading and let me know what other topics you’d like to discuss!
