so Gooseworx has an official height chart of all the TADC characters here, as seen below.

Caine is levitating, meaning it's hard to get a proper gauge on his size. So, naturally, I decided to grab Caine and put him on floor level with everyone else. And guess what I discovered.

CAINE IS SMALLER THAN POMNI! His body is smaller than hers in almost every respect and if he closed his mouth he would be even shorter. CAINE IS AN OFFICIAL MANLET AND THE SMALLEST (humanoid) MEMBER OF THE CIRCUS (excluding Bubble).

I've recently seen a few posts insisting that Barney is 5'6 because the HD security guard's nametag says so. If we're all going to act like this is canon (I don't believe it is, to be clear; he's visibly not that short), then I'd like to point out that this thing also says he was born in June of 1976.

We don't know exactly when the resonance cascade took place, but the most popular theories are that it was May 2000 or 2003, which would make him either almost 24 or almost 27 at the time. According to last year's extremely scientific Barney age poll and one really annoying wiki editor, fandom perception of his age tends to skew a bit younger, and a lot of people specifically headcanon him as 25, which arguably isn't an option if you believe this nametag is canon.

I don't really have a point to make here, but I think this is interesting. I'm also wondering how many people actually know where the 5'6 headcanon comes from, so if you were confused about that... here you go.

Edit: To clarify, this nametag is not featured in Half Life or any of the Gearbox expansions. It seems it's from Sven Co-op? So yeah, definitely not canon.
