If there is one thing to know about me, it is that I absolutely adore German poet Friedrich Schiller. He was an interesting man that lived during interesting times, had interesting relationships and who worked in interesting professions – and there are few humans who used the German language in a more beautiful way than Schiller did. And recently I found out, that Schiller has his own Playmobil figure … you may guess who is now the proud owner of said Schiller figure. :-)

Vox had never really considered getting a pet, in life he’d been too busy, and overall, just… not that interested in having to care for another lifeform. In death, it had always come second to progress and empire-building. Vark is not, in fact, his idea.

He gets the hammerhead shark-dog during one of the many off-again portions of he and Valentino’s ‘on-again-off-again’ relationship. Except for one small detail: Valentino had managed to piss off Velvette that time too. Vark, according to Velvette, was a bit of an escape artist, who she came across wandering the streets. She decided she liked him, and brought him to Vox, with the excuse that “now that we’re down one V, I brought you another”. She was the one to name him, and while it’s not necessarily the most creative name, a play on ‘bark’, just with a V, he adores his pet, and Vark is more than a little spoiled. 

(Valentino hadn’t been all that happy to come back to find out that he’d been ‘replaced’ with a shark).
