Ayo! I haven't answered asks in FOREVER, so it's time for some spring cleaning :) Also answering other stuff, like what I've been up to.
If you sent an ask and it's not here, sorry! I may have deleted it because the prompt required too much work of me and I wasn't feeling it, or I was uncomfortable.
Let's gooooo !
Firstly - where have I been? Work REALLY picked up in a way I wasn't expecting over the last...4 months? I was working double and often triple the hours I was used to. With work, vacations, random illnesses, and many video games I got a bit too obsessed with, this blog took a backseat. Plus, sometimes I get disinterested in vore when obsessed with something else. Sometimes, that lasts months, and it did this time.
But now I can confirm that work will FINALLY chill for a long period of time. I'm free! And more motivated than ever! Wahoo! Thanks for your support ALWAYS.
Next big question - when am I going to do more of my story? The one with Asyr? AHHHHHGHHGHH this story has consumed my life. I think about it daily. I dream about it. And yet I'm not as comfortable writing as I am drawing, so writing is a slow process that my perfectionist ass struggles with. I can assure you that there is a story in the works - and I am working on it at a snail's pace.
Okay, ask time...
@ponyluvesonic09 AYO maybe I'll make a full ghost pred pros/con list for you, because that sounds awesome! Kir//by is one of the silliest canon preds out there. Honestly getting eaten by him would be like getting vored by a vacuum, LOL. Galaxy tummy!! Imagine a prey floating around in one of those item bubbles all grumpy. Thank u for the ask, this is good stuff.
no. ( /・・)ノ
UWAGHHHHH I LIKE HER!!! Never played O/verwat/ch but what a gem!! I have a random fondness for centaur-like preds nowadays. She looks so cozy. THANK U I LOVE HER!!!
@tiger9o0 I have not played r//ain w//orld or know what it's about, LOL. Looks like a platformer? Man, I'm terrrriiiiibblleee at those. But whoever this is on the cover, I LIKE EM. A+. (That might not answer ur question shdjbghkjg SORRY)
@heimkoheimkofan LOVE THAT I GOT THE ROBOT ENJOYERS AFTER THAT ONE POST....YES yall are so right and I'm so wrong for just hard metal robot tums. I will rectify my mistake soon I PROMISE. Also oh! You were the one asking about stomachs other than elemental ones! IVE HAD THAT IN MY DRAFTS FOREVER IM SORRY AHHHH. I REALLY love your imagination with tums and you've inspired me to think of some awesome environments! THANKS
@fastfur07 BWAH?? Ugh I'm all over the place when it comes to art. Some pieces take 30 min (like the zangooc I drew at the top of this post), most take 2 days. Some really hard drawings like my wolf bat creechur from a few months ago and my shrimp from last year took a month. THANK U??
We're going back so far that I think this is about my naga oc (which I'm in the midst of redesigning cough cough). For him, he would never tolerate being prey, extremely unwilling bahaha. In general, I haven't thought much about naga or snake prey! I get the appeal of slurping up a noodle, but I just prefer human prey :)
@fastfur07 you fiend, you always give me the best drawing ideas. UNFORTUNATELY, I didn't have time to draw something for this one. BUTTTT....
(i've had this next one in my drafts for forever)
then i had a silly comic. I'll post the wip here because I won't finish it, so enjoy bahaha.
@blizzaria123-blog THANK U im rapidly melting into a puddle from ur words
@mrpotatomanversionsix relevant. i will continue drawing them 4 u
?!??!!??!?!??!?!?!??!?!? how dare u enter my ask box with this blasphemy
@sfwsillynoms WAH!!! you!!! I'm currently redesigning my naga oc but when I finish I'll tag you, if you're still around! And he can 100% be drawn with ur preysona :)
@mystorl i am SO late to this, but SMART. I like it. I shall give my lil guy this friend. I just want to let u know that I see this and it's wonderful and I will do something abt it.
I remember this ask made me laugh a ton when I first got it. thank u. idk why I find this so funny
@sillylilprey IM CRYING RIGHT BACK AHHHH this is an ancient ask, but thank u! hope you're still enjoying!
@terrytheinsane finally, the last ask in my askbox. I love it. You have been wronged with how long it took me to answer you. I have gained knowledge from your ask. THANKS
AND THAT'S IT!! Thanks guys, I hope to make you proud! Feel free to send more asks, and hopefully I will answer in a TIMELY manner.
Goodnight! And remember: Nice Vore ᕕ༼⌐■-■༽ᕗ
#zan asks#phew that was an essay#tldr im a lot more free now aaaanddd I shall answer asks in a more timely manner from now on#and i say thank u a lot#i appreciate and read EVERY ask#zan art#zangooc

2025, here we go 🥳
A multiple of 5 type of year, hell yeah. The usual look back on the prior year below the cut!
In 2023, I posted four one-shots, and I'm delighted to say that in 2024 I beat that with 15 oneshots and one multichapter fic.
Perchance to Love, in which a time traveling Harry gets love potioned, as one does
let the sky fall, in which Harry's a phoenix and Voldemort's a fan
yet I still believe in ever after with you, in which Harry is the Bachelor and Tom can't believe he's a cliche
what the whole world wants, in which SQQ is determined to stay out of the plot and fails miserably
love you since this morning, in which fem!Harry sees Sirius and goes "ah yes that's the one"
wake me up when they build that time machine, in which child!Tom gets a new start
set my soul on fire, in which Harry wants a baby and Voldemort deals
you feel it once and you're never the same, in which Harry's too popular for his own good
at last, the skies above are blue, in which the sorting hat also gives out free soulmates
like a river flows, surely to the sea, in which I write two love potion fics in the same year
take my name and make it yours, in which Sirius claims it's not an engagement ring
leave the door ajar, in which there's some necromancing
the future's ours to see, in which the Black family tree is a romantic
take my hand, take my whole life too, in which there is marriage
but if it's forever, it's even better, in which it's Hufflepuff's cup that hands out the free soulmates
something I'm not, but something I can be, in which I swap Dumbledore with Sirius
The latter half of these (9) were written for the 2024 Sirry Stockings fest over on the Sirry Discord, which was so much fun. I'm glad the mods ran the event again!
Like last year, I stayed mostly in my tried and true fandom of Harry Potter, venturing out only into Scum Villain, which was my main reading obsession of the year. The amount of Scum Villain words I've read makes me glad there isn't an AO3 Wrapped. All 16 of my new fics were rated T, very in character of me, and "Sirius Black Lives" was my most-used tag. I know what I'm about.
All in all, I posted 45k, my highest posted word count since 2021. It's not too much compared to my even older years, but ah, well, those times are long gone. In some ways I don't mind it too much -- I like where I am in life -- but I do still get nostalgic about how much free time and energy I used to have a decade ago.
My favorite reads of 2024 were:
The First and Last Adventure of Kit Sawyer, m/m romance between a historian and an Indiana Jones type with supernatural elements
Death in the Spires, historical early 1900s murder mystery with m/m subplot
Four Thousand Weeks: Time Management for Mortals, productivity
Good Morning, Monster, heartbreakingly excellent memoir of a therapist
The Adventures of Amina al-Sirafi, badass pirate gang gets back together for one last job
Outlander, 1940s woman falls through time to the 1700s, VERY good romance
Peak Mind, a reread, still my favorite meditation book
IRL, it was overall a good year. I had many good times with family and friends, including a visit from an old fandom friend. I finished paying off my student loans (🥳) and my car, which felt amazing. I went on vacation to Lake George and took many photos. I went on many hikes. I had my third year work anniversary at my current company. I had a great time with someone cool before we broke up. I started learning to crochet again and got halfway through a scarf. I read many good books.
In 2025, I want to finish that scarf -- or maybe start a new one. And then crochet a hat to match the scarf. I want to finish Perchance to Love, the WIP I started last year; I paused working on it because I wasn't sure which of two directions I wanted to take the fic. I want to read even more good books. I want to write even more Sirry. As usual, I want to learn and to grow, and to engage in fun nonsense.
This blog isn't too active anymore, but feel free to join me over on my Discord server if you want to catch up!
All my best to all of us in 2025! ❤️

✨Weekly Tag Wednesday ✨
thank you for the tags @michellemisfit, @spookygingerr, @roryonic and @sgtmickeyslaughter you rock 🪨
Name and A03 handle: Katrine or MyAmisFics (my main blog @my-amis lol, i’m originally a Les Mis fan)
Current Location: my bed
Favourite picrew: I made a new one today, it’s not completely accurate but it’s cute i think
What's one thing you want in a picrew?
FRECKLES more of them please, like on the chest and neck and arms, oh and better ginger hair colours bc it’s either this one or a brown one, and neither really look like my actually orange hair
Favourite thing you’ve created (or seen created) for the fandom?
(This fandom is so unbelievably creative and talented and so i wanna include every fic i’ve ever read and every fan art i’ve ever seen!!)
But of my own posts i would say my Ian Loves thrifting or Set design details
Why is it your favourite?
I actually spent a lot of time on those posts (as opposed to my usual shitposting)- and it was something that lived in my head for days and weeks before i was able to put it together properly (i’m still gonna write my gallavich goes thrifting fanfic one day)
Did it come easily or was it hard to create?
My thrifting post came really easily to me, bc i’ve been writing it in my head for forever
My set design post took a little bit longer to create, bc i wanted to make sure i actually included the pieces that mattered the most to the characters, and therefore also me
Last ao3 fic you commented on?
I don’t know how to check, but i belive it’s
I like taking pictures (as long as you’re in them) by @em-harlsnow
it was adorable and the plot was totally canon accurate
Biggest WIP heartache you’ve ever experienced?
I’ve been reading fanfic since i was 11 in various fandoms so i’m sure it’s been a lot of heartbreaks, but one that comes to mind is loosing my own fic i was writing so that spiderman fic is now lost to the world
Favourite trope or head cannon you like included in a fanfic?
There are so many, but i do love a version of Found Family that’s like “I accidentally became a dad” trope; think Hotch and Spencer from Criminal Minds or Lip and Liam
As for headcanons I adore so many, but one particular one is that Ian gifts Mickey a pocketknife (i’ve seen this in like five different fics so far)
Least favourite?
hurt no comfort- i need happy endings
Secret or surprising kink or trope
Overstimulation (Ian is the king of this in most fanfics)
Describe how you feel after you’ve created something new?
Honestly, mostly nervous
Top hype man you have that always helps you get across the finish line:
My irl besties
It's been a bad day, you turn to the fandom and you _____?
Rewatch season one 🤍
This was a big one but also fun🐣
Not sure who has done this yet, but i’m gonna tag some peeps
@mickeygifs @mandy4ever69420 @mickeym4ndy @iansfreckles @iansw0rld @callivich @transsexual-dandelions @thirstyvampyr

Reading This Week 2025 #1
Happy New Year! And so I welcome the first full year in my life that I will not be a student for part of it. This feels very strange. There will be no one setting my reading list for me at all I have complete and total freedom! A bit terrifying. I want to stay committed to continuing to reading theory and literary analysis beyond university, but doing it entirely on my own and with no set schedule or deadlines like a looming thesis is going to be a challenge. Besides that, my reading goals for the year are to read more indie and self-pub, and to maybe set up a proper non-tumblr blog to share long form writing on the books I read, and other stuff for public viewing. we shall see what I come up with and what methods I pick for setting up a website. okay, NOW i'll tell you about what I've read
Finished:
The Night Guest by Taylor Titmouse This was technically read at the very end of last year but it was still during the week I'm covering. I treated myself to a bundle of Taylor Titmouse's erotica and romance works right at the end of the year and will be slowly working through them when I want to read some fantasy erotica. the night guest was pretty fun though I think I genuinely hated the oni guy in it for most of the time. SO irritating in possibly every way. I am glad that the innkeeper milf had fun with him though
Unpainted by Dani Finn I also will be taking a dive into Dani Finn's work, thanks to a nice holiday bundle that got me most (or maybe all?) of their current work. I think this wasn't the best book of theirs for me to start with tho, because I might have felt a bit less lost and a bit more engaged if I started with a different book from this setting. ah well, it was still a mostly pleasant experience even if I have a few structural gripes
Assassin's Fate by Robin Hobb, audiobook narrated by Elliot Hill at long last.... I have read all of the mainline Realm of the Elderlings books. my reaction to this book took up a full page in my reading journal. i will condense it here for brevity. 1) I love Bee with every ounce of my heart which at times made this book very difficult to read. she is the specialest little girl in the world and has suffered more than Jesus Christ himself. I think she should get to kill anyone she wants forever and no one gets to scold her for anything ever. 2) the journey to Clerres was excrutiating, as it could be labelled Fitz's transmisogyny arc. his hatred toward Amber specifically as a way for him to process his hurt feelings and distrust of Beloved was such a nightmare to get through. 3) the ensemble cast in this book is excellent. Love Ash/Spark, Lant, Per, Motley, getting to see the cast of the bingtown and rain wilds books again! all really well rendered, wonderful characters. 4) oh I LOVE the way prophesy and foresight work in ROTE through dreams. prilkop's hand on bee's foot, explaining how he knew the flame in his dream was her.... that nothing happens to her she happens to the world!! fuck yeah
North Continent Ribbon by Ursula Whitcher What a luck find at the library! I had been considering buying it when I fortuitously ran across it in my library's new purchases section. I think my favorite stories are the final two in the book where the Fishercats and the worldbuilding around engines are properly built out. it made the whole setting snap into focus for me. I like the way it approaches questions of what happens if we let AI/computers make decisions that affect peoples lives, what happens when someone gets hurt, who do we blame it on? this setting answers that all along there are exploited people behind those computers, who might be held to account but those at real fault who created the unjust and exploitative system will hide happily behind those disposable lives

Little inbetween update:
Real Life is eating me up pretty bad and i drowned myself in creative projects every free minute as much as I was able to.
I'm posting peaks on my Instagram, but I can tell in the next days/weeks you can witness the following projects coming together:
Dolls:
Bookman
Lavi
bby!Allen
Darjeeling
Cosplay/Costumes:
Dog!Allen Kigurumi
Crown Clown (Mask, Coat, Claws)
Allen's Innocence Arms (2 variants)
Other:
Bag for little Allen
Two Timcampy Plushes
Projects I am currently still working on:
the last parts for the Crown Clown Cosplay
Road Plushy
No news in terms of doll arrivals, so no progress on the other dolls. But I took some photos I added inbetween the progress stuff. One day I will be back to blogging, i have my ideas written in my notebook.
Aside my personal panel redraw project that's going on almost daily, I have almost finished my 2nd page for the Redraw Zine, I am figuring out when to post the 2nd Aftermath Chapter for Warmth.
And the Bookfair is approaching, with 4 cosplays, you can expect photos again. I will take one doll with me for the con which is Bookman, only for Thursday when i am there as past!Allen as the Thursday is the most chill day.
I am not sure what I will tackle after the bookfair. If some doll parts finally arrive it's most likely Adam or (finally???) Kanda and they will have priority. If not... then I will start on either Clown Allen (Cosplay), the bag for teen!Mana Cosplay or give Alastor his final series outfit, he's waiting since forever :')
I just know I will have a bit of time on hand as easter is right after the bookfair, that's a bunch of additional days.
Oh and the first concert for me this year (I have tickets for 3 so far) is approaching in the first week of April.

HSHQTASK059: FAREWELL !
when did you join ? what made you join ? what do you remember from the plotlines that were current at the time ? where were you in life when you joined and where are you now ?
right at the beginning of 2016, around feb or march. i had just finished high school and took an off year to prepare for uni admission exams. i needed something to take my mind off studying for it and my friend julia suggested i joined her on tumblr rping. i had no idea what that was but she helped me through it and we joined another group together. at the time i also developed a bit of a thing for royals and made my character in that group an undercover norwegian royal, on some princess diaries bullshit. but looking up things for that group i decided to search norwegian royalty on tumblr and found the blog for a character in vik. olav if i'm not mistaken. i started stalking the group and got really interested in it and mentioned it to julia who told me she'd been here before and would join with me if i chose to so we brought barbie and biel. then the group closed and i completely gave up rping until one random day many months later i logged into tumblr again god knows why and there was a message from martha, she told me the group came back to life and i decided to rejoin. and here i am, haven't left since.
which characters have you written over the years ?
ffs, let me see if i can remember all of them: ayo, bruce, barbie, toni, leon, sergi, silje, ilija, zoey (silje's draft), pedro, noémïe (poor thing lasted 3 seconds), ionie. i feel like there's more, i just can't remember.
what is your favourite plotline that you've been part of ?
the zulu & the southern africa conflicts. even all of us applying together that day was such a moment, i loved every bit of it. i had so so much fun writing ayo even if he was one of those characters it is impossible to write filler threads with, i still felt so much joy when i got a notif that someone replied to him, even if the entire reply was someone hating on him hard.
what about other people's plotlines ?
it's impossible to pick one when you've been here from the start and have seen countless amazing ones but the english plot was truly a wonder, even the murder mystery event was fucking incredible. anything involving russia and the romanovs as well was so well thought and made so much sense when you put the pieces together you just can't help but love every bit.
who is your favourite character from the ones you've played ? why ? what made you love them ? what made them so fun to write ?
favourite to write i'd say ayo, for the same reasons i mentioned on the plotline question but if i had to choose only one to keep playing forever it would either be silje or ilija. i feel like those are versatile ones that i could go in different directions with if i'd wanted to. the one i had the most fun writing though was pedro for sure.
if you could relive a plotline, which would it be ?
the invasion in greece and i think everyone who was here for that would say the same thing. that was our most iconic event and for a reason, everyone put 150% into it and it worked out so so so so well we didn't even imagine the outcome it would have, we just wanted to traumatise everyone a bit but received the best event in hshq in return.
is there a plotline that you'd edit now if you could ?
i don't think there is, especially because i don't think i remember even half of them but even then everything was fun and a joy to write about so i probably wouldn't change anything.
what's a plotline you wish you would have been able to finish before closing or just write more of ?
the ones that never happened. e mentioned some of the things we planned and didn't happen on the timeline post but i assure you that's not even the beginning. at times we'd plan an entire year of events in advance and come up with a full story, reasoning, plot drops for it but when the time to have them came we forgot all about it and change everything to something we'd put together in 20 mins instead of the plans we spent days working on. even the cruise ship they were supposed to be stuck in was an idea we had so much fun coming up with and it didn't get to see the light of day.
what is your favourite ooc memory ?
every honesty hour chaos was such a fun time to be on the dash, or whenever something big would happen ic and there would be 100 ooc posts reacting to it on the dash and the jokes were the peak of comedy. but i'll always have a soft spot for the soletsky silent thread bc icb we actually had 40+ notes on that, it was priceless. the word lunch is stuck with me forever. AND that one time i got kicked out on this exact date a couple years back.
where can others find you if they want to get in touch ?
i won't delete the tumblr app from my phone just yet so if you want to send me a mssg, i'll be checking it every now and again. same with discord, i'm there under barbielandwired and we're not deleting the hshq server so we can still have that in case anybody wants to pop into the chat and catch up. i'll give you my socials too if anybody wants that, we're all friends here. i've known u lot for 8 years.
what else would you like to say ?
here.

because its my blog and i can post what I want and so here's ZARA'S TOP TEN LIST OF FAVORITE BOOKS below the cut and with a very brief discussion on why.
Phantom of the Opera by Gaston Leroux This book was one of the first books that really truly catapulted me back into reading as a young adult (the first being A Winter's Tale) and I remember sitting up and crying at 2am in my bed as I finished this book just sobbing and if i'm honest ? Feeling so ashamed that I take my normal life for granted. I have never had such a reaction to a book before and honestly I don't think I ever will again in such a resounding way. For me this is not a love story its a story about humanity and our relationships with each other.
Phantom by Susan Kay This book comes second because I don't have the same emotional connection as I do to the original but hands down in reading a book cover to cover and returning to reread snippets I have read this book so MANY times my god. I always go back to this book when I'm bored or need to revisit a friend. This book is definitely flawed and its got its issues but its one of my all time favorites and I'm so glad to have like three copies (hardcover, pdf and kindle) so its always on hand. I love the depth and exploration for Erik and what shaped him and his life and the people around him and how they were affected by him. Like wow. Its just a book I will always have on my shelf forever till I die.
The Scarlet Pimpernel by Baroness Orczy Its just so good and I don't know why more people haven't read it. Its the beginning of the creation of superheroes and double identities and it has a FEMALE LEAD. The entire book is in the POV of the brilliant and beautiful Marguerite and honestly if I had known years back that it was from a female pov I'd have gotten into it much MUCH sooner. Its dynamic, the characters are so good and the villain is so deliciously good at being bad. I loved the movie, but the book just captured my heart because Margot is this wonderfully clever but soft heroine that just speaks to me.
Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo WHAT can I even say about this duology other than the characters are flawless and by that i mean they are so flawed and relatable and complex. Its a wonderful book of found family and slow burns and enemies to lovers with fantastic representation. I absolutely couldn't make myself get into S&B but you can pry the crows from my cold dead hands because I adore them and go back to reread this series all the time!
The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova This is also a big reread for me, but mostly I go back and reread sections that interest me most but the entire book is just gold. Its just MINDBLOWING that we never know the main heroine's name which is just shocking, but we never needed it or would've noticed if it wasn't pointed out. Its this complex beautifully woven story with history, globetrotting, mystery, suspense and some thrilling aspects that I just love love about it. This is the book that sent me down the Dark Academia rabbit hole guys.
The Golem & Jinni by Helene Wecker This book honestly is on par with The Historian for me because the pacing is very much the same and it took me a bit to read it as did the The Historian, but man am I glad that I did because its complex, its such a human story told in such a supernatural fun way that's just thrilling in a slow build sort of way that ends beautifully and I can't wait to start on the second book soon! The character development and the world building just really draws you in and makes you forget your current time to be absorbed into theirs and its brilliant.
The Invisible Life of Addie Larue by V.E Schwab I'll be honest and say that this book almost didn't make the list because at first I didn't think the book was as good as the hype, but upon looking back and rereading snippets again and rereading the ending more thoroughly- my god, this book is definitely going to be a CLASSIC. Its beautifully written and one of the books I made myself slow and savor each word and sentence as it wove the magic over the years of addie's life. Its a VERY good book that I'd definitely recommend to anyone and everyone. Addie has grown on me in such a different way and I love love her.
Entwined by Heather Dixon THIS is one of my all time childhood/youth/teen favorites. Yes its YA and yes it might be a little boring to the adult reader, but its one of my absolute favorite retellings of the 12 Dancing Princesses. I still go back and reread it because its that good and has a special place for me. The villain and world building is so good and easy to follow along. Its fantastic and I'd go back and reread this book over and over again. Its great if you love magic, sisters, princesses, unexpected love, dancing and magical objects.
Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte This is on the list because I remember loving reading the story in highschool and feeling so connected to Jane and now as an adult I love her even more for her actions and choices. Its one of the first classic books I ever bonded over with my brother on and so that in itself is a miracle. Jane just has a special place in my heart for the romance, the mystery, the dynamics and the characters and their development is just absolutely wonderful with a fantastic ending. Can't really ask for more.
The Book of Esther I have done and read and watched nearly everything I can find on the book of Esther, which is kinda the oddball on this list because its a book in the Bible, but its still a book in my definition. Its just such a beautiful story of overcoming oppression, tragedy, fear, genocide and this beautiful painting of faith in terrifying times. The twists and turns and thrills and complexities that come with this story before and after if you know the history and its setting- Persia (-gestures to Kay's Phantom-) just absolutely has me fascinated. There's also the aspect that just maybe the 1001 Nights are inspired or based off the story of Esther just absolutely delights me with its fantastic similarities because I adore that story just as much as this one. I love Esther's bravery, courage, wisdom and discernment and she's absolutely one of my heroines IRL that I look to.
Honorable mentions:
I, Strahd by P. N. Elrod - The only reason this isn't in the top ten is because it reads sO MUCH like Kay's Phantom that if I had to chose one of these it'd be Phantom, but this book was so good and really helped get me back into reading during one of my many many slumps. It was a great blend of myth, royalty, supernatural and tragedy that I've reread it a few times already recommended it to a LOT of my friends.
Wintersong by S Jae-Jones- The only reason why THIS one didn't make the ten list is simply because I already have ten and because it would be between this and Jane Eyre and lbh Jane Eyre is almost the perfect book. It was a toss up of faerie girls and Miss Eyre won it because she really was my first classical book love.
Wildwood Dancing by Juliet Marillier THIS BOOK omg its another 12 Dancing Princesses retelling and its so beautifully and wonderfully crafted in its world building and the magic and the everything of it. ITS SO GOOD and tbh I'd definitely recommend this book more to the adult reader than I would Entwined, but- BUT it didn't make the list because I would personally pick up Entwined far more often and remember the characters far more than I did in this book. It is a very very good book and I also highly recommend you read it if you like retellings, vampires, fae complexities and a blending of fairytales.
ACOTAR by SJ Maas- I did really enjoy reading this series but it is definitely not one of my top faves because its really only the last two books (not the novella) that I actually devoured. Its a good series and I def recommend reading it because its almost worth the hype but my quibble here is that I could EASILY slip out of that world/the books never absorbed me like others have. Also I didn't care for the main heroine shhh don't come after me guys.
A Voice in the Wind by Francine Rivers So this book was a toss up between it and Esther and it was a TOUGH one because I do go back and reread this trilogy at least 2-3x a year, but I do reread and study and think a lot more about Esther so it lost out in that competition spot. But its an excellent series and the first two books just have my heart for the romance and the intrigue going on during this time period. Its a wonderful slow burn though I'll admit the third book is slightly out of pocket, but still so good that I had to make pinterest boards about this series.
Eye of the Red Tsar by Sam Eastland THIS book is so so SO GOOD if you're into reading about the Romanovs and Russia shortly after that. The entire series is so so good and I normally don't like mystery and thriller plots but this book does have a special place for me, but was beat out by the golemn & the jinni. Pekkala is fascinating and the people and cast he meets along the way just build up in such a delightful way.
The Holy Thief by William Ryan Again this only got beat out by The Historian by a margin because vampires, but The Holy Thief oh my god is very much on par with the Eye of the Red Tsar because its the same time period and magnetic energy. I was so invested in this book and its characterse and it might be due to my love of all things Romanov/Anastasia musical wise, but it was so good and I highly recommend it. I wept, I laughed, I sat on the edge of my seat it was a great read.
The Prophet by Kahlil Gibran This is a recent read and like wow...it just really blew my mind and touched me in a way I don't usually get outside of my belief system and IDK but this book is everything and more than the hype and the only reason its not on the list is because it didn't quite beat out Esther for me but its such a good book.
Tagging you because I would love to see everyone's Top 5 or 10 favorites : @walkingshcdow, @myhiraeth, @kingmakercastle, @demonstigma, @historiavn, @swede, @lordofthestrix, @fasciinating, @reverdies, @ensnchekov, @malka-lisitsa, @paramounticebound , @delanuit, @starlsssankt, @aigonakru
#// ooc#forgot to mention but 'a gentleman in moscow' omggggggggggggggggg ONE OF MY FAVES#I'd put it in the top 10 if i could bc its that good

my personal good things of 2023 list
woooohooo let’s go!!
POKEMON SCARLET POKEMON SCARLET!!!!! I clocked so many hours into this game, it was such a delight to play at the beginning of the year
I had my blog’s 10th anniversary!! Thank you to everyone who’s been with me on this journey! It’s been awesome getting to hang out with a bunch of people like me
survived catching covid 😫 it was so painful and miserable but I got through it y’all
I binged RWBY after putting it off for so many years and it was incredible!! I love it so much, and the songs pretty much took over my brain and playlists for the rest of the year
In April, I went on a trip to the Philippines to visit family. I also took a side trip to South Korea! I had a lot of fun and learned a lot of new things. I even flew home by myself for the first time ever
I cut my hair short while I was away and it was probably the best and most Gender haircut I’ve ever gotten
After that, I binged The Good Place with my dad and it’s now one of my fav shows ever…it’s such a fun concept that they really did a good job of playing with
I also caught up on the One Piece manga finally??? Who am I
Speaking of One Piece, the live action was actually really cool!! I love how heartfelt it was, as a love letter to the original
July 18th was khx’s 10th anniversary holy shiiiiit…the game that started it all. The one I hold near and dear to my heart forever and ever
I’m so proud of the improvement I’ve made with my art. I left my comfort zone and tried new things, and I could really see the results. I had a good time making a lot of pieces and I can’t wait to make more stuff next year :)
Speaking of stuff, I finished so many creative projects this year!! I wrote my Ephemera essay, returned to a handful of old ideas and sketches to complete them, finished 2 fics and currently in the process of writing another, made an insane amount of OCs in the Ephemera bloodline project, made KHUXDR told in disney songs, and even made my first ever animatic. I even made memes that ended up being hits and sold some stuff from my ko-fi shop. I’m proud of it all ❤️
Missing Link news at last YIPPEEE!!!! No joke, the trailer and beta inspired me so much. My heart goes crazy thinking about how amazing this game is gonna be and I can’t wait for it to come out (hopefully in April or May maybe?)
I read the most amount of books I’ve ever read in one year. I’ve been watching Jack Edwards’ youtube videos and they’ve motivated me to pick up lots of really great books, but also just read more in general. I used to read a lot as a kid, and for my undergrad. Now it just feels good to read for my own enjoyment, at my own pace
I think I cooked and baked more in general too. I like having the time to make my own elaborate meals, it’s pretty therapeutic
My friend who works at a shoe museum invited me to a Halloween party and it was so fun, the vibes were immaculate
I got a new phone hooray!!!! Now my battery doesn’t die a quarter through the day and I’m ready for ML
Made some great progress on my Christmas village. I got my hands on several new additions that are so cute! I’ll be giving them makeovers for next year
As mentioned earlier, I’ve been working on my new fic Overmorrow…I think it’s my fav fic now ☺️
Plus a whole lot more I inevitably forgot to mention…✨
Overall, this year was full of trying new things and leaving my comfort zone. I wanna do more next year and keep growing and thriving with the people I love!! Cheers to a happy 2024! 🥂

Hey, hope it's ok to send you an ask too!
First I wanna say you are SO insanely talented at character creation and making gifs, oml, whenever I see your OCs on my dash I'm like woow hello gorgeous! Love that they all have such cool stories too!
So here's my question, which of your OCs would get along, which wouldn't and if you could have one in your party as a companion, who would it be and what would their dynamic be?
Also, do you play them all simultaneously or finish one run and then start another?
Hope you'll have a great day!
slkjdflksjfklsdjf !!! Omg this legit made me tear up just a bit. Thank you so so much. You're too sweet! ♡ Asks are always welcome! I just sometimes take a second to respond lol.
Character creation has always been one of my favorite parts playing any game with a CC, and gif making is so relaxing for me when I don't feel like gaming, so that truly means a lot. ♡
Now for your questions. I'll stick to my BG3 OCs (that have current playthroughs going on), otherwise we'll be here forever lol. I've actually thought about this a lot in the past, so answering this on my blog is fun. Just be jabbing myself a bit, but I feel like I'm not the best at putting my thoughts together and I tend to ramble, so this may be a bit all over the place. Good ol' ADHD brain. Hopefully one day I'll have ALL of their backstories written in a way that makes sense lol.
Who would they would/would not get along with:
Raven: She's snarky, sarcastic, and flirty but also very closed off to deeper conversations from anyone she's not close to. (In her mind, sharing secrets to her gives someone a power over you, so she avoids things like that at all costs.) I like to compare her to Mazikeen from the show Lucifer, because they're incredibly similar with their personalities. For this reason, she would get a long with almost everyone listed, except for Ember or Talon. Her and Kyvoni would def get along the most, as they share similar humor (and pasts). Her and Iris have... physical history, so Iris is still quite hurt regarding it, so they're wouldn't be on the best of terms.
Ember: To those who don't know her, she comes off as very serious and stoic, with a very regal aura about her. Also the literal biggest bookworm. Her and Juniper are sisters, with Ember being the older one, so they get along as well as and bicker as sisters do. Raven and Kyvoni would get on her nerves with their constant snark, so she would avoid them. She, Iris, Velvet, and Khione would get along amazingly. She would def pick Khione's brain about all things magic and share their favorite books. (Khione also writes and reads smut, so I always thought about her introducing those things to Ember lol.) Ember and Talon... might just kill each other. Keep them apart.
Juniper: She's pretty much the opposite of her older sister. Very much go with the flow and completely fine with spontaneity, unlike Ember who prefers structure. While Ember loves her younger sister, they bicker a lot now that their older since Juniper took the warlock route, instead of learning magic the "old fashion way" like her sister. Her patron is a couatl, so it's not like her pact is evil, but Ember still isn't happy with the way she went about things. Her and Iris would be best friends in an instant. She'd def lock on to Khione as another older sister figure, due to her draconic sorcerer background. She's pretty indifferent about the others, although she might pick up some of Raven's lewd humor.
Iris: An absolute sweetheart of a bard. Natural flirt, of course. Who doesn't love a pretty purple tiefling? As mentioned above, she had a fling with Raven and fell hard. Raven didn't return her feelings, so there's some hard feelings on Iris' end. She would get a long great with everyone, and even get Talon to crack a smile every now and then. She loves to bring positivity to any situation, so it's hard for most people to dislike her, as hard as they might try. Her and Velvet would be best friends.
Kyvoni: He's pretty intimidating on the outside, which he prefers. It keeps most people out of his space and out of his business. He can be snarky, usually going off into asshole territory with some of his sarcasm. Ember and Juniper wouldn't dislike him, but probably wouldn't pursue a friendship with him. They're just too different in that aspect. Him and Raven get along great and have constant banter. They sometimes both have a very lewd sense of humor, which gets on the others nerves quite often lol. Him and Talon would be fine, and have a mutual respect for one another.
Talon: She's very prickly lol. She's pretty abrasive and blunt most of the time, even when it's not needed. She has tattoos over a lot of her body, mostly depicting snakes within them, so she looks intimidating to most people. (I'll figure out how to implement them in game one day.) Due to this, she doesn't get along with most of my other OCs at first, but would eventually warm up to Iris and Velvet, since they would go out of their way to get to know her softer side.
Khione: She's incredibly intelligent, and sweet... most of the time. Think Evie from The Mummy. She is a draconic sorcerer, so of course she's well versed in magic without trying, and specializes in ice magic, though she's not really much of a show-off. She prefers to let her mind impress people. As mentioned above, she's a bookworm and a writer, so her and Ember would get along great, especially after she helps mend her relationship with her sister. Khione can match Raven and Kyvoni when it comes to their wit, which will throw them both off at first, but they'll come to be good friends.
Velvet: She's very much a mix of sweet and spicy. She feels the spice is needed, as some people are put off by her being a half-drow, necromancer, and for her eyes which are black voids. (A side effect from a spell when she was younger and just getting into necromancy.) She would get a long with Talon, despite Talon's spiky nature. They have a lot in common with their backgrounds, so Velvet would be able to crack her shell. Iris constantly comments on how pretty she is, which blossoms their friendship. She would get a long fine with the rest of them, though they might not become as close as Talon and Iris.
If you have any questions about ones I maybe didn't mention together, feel free to ask!
Obviously I love all my bbys, but if I could have one in my party as a companion, it would be Kyvoni. He's an ex member of Zhentarim, and has a long, sordid past he would prefer to keep secret. He would def agree to anything that gets you paid or intimidation tactics at the beginning. He has a bit of a temper, and can be incredibly impulsive. He would be a tough nut to crack in opening up when it comes to his past or feelings about things, whether it be a friendship or romance path. A romance path would def have a scene were he intentionally pushes you away or tries to get you to hate him. He's dangerous, and already had someone close to him hurt because of it. He doesn't want to go through it again and has sworn off of matters of the heart. (Hoping to eventually dig deeper into what everyone would be like as a companion.)
I play all of them simultaneously, just depending on who's story I feel like playing at the time. Sometimes I play a certain character for days; other times, I switch characters multiple times within the hour. Just depends! I actually still haven't finished the game, but didn't really mind ending spoilers, so I have a good idea of who will do what. I'm currently working on act 3 with a lot of them.
Thank you so much for the ask! Sorry for the rambling lol. ♡

20 Questions for Fic Writers
😌 thanks @smilingformoney for the tag (i know u tagged my main blog but that thot doesn't write anything but gibberish well..i guess it's the same here to..)
1. How many works do you have on AO3?
12
2. What’s your total AO3 word count?
113,472
3. What fandoms do you write for?
I would say Harry Potter but honestly, it’s just Snape and then other Alan Rickman characters…so Alan Rickman LOL. Also I’ve been known to write Final Fantasy fics (for 7,12 and 15 specifically) and a wild Naruto one in my olden days. There are others but Alan is my main thing rn and for the foreseeable future.
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
Bad Habits, Young and Beautiful, Seven Devils, Thrilling Tea Time, You Don’t Love Me Anymore
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
Yes because it’s just nice to talk to folks who have enjoyed your things ^o^!
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
I don’t know what those are. I mean I guess Seven Devils? But it’s not really angsty (too me at least).
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
All of them because I don’t know what sad endings are. Havent my blurbos suffered enough.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
I have not and hope not!
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
Yes (3 of the the top kudos are smut ranging from…unhinged to unhinged). I’ll write almost any kind of smut but I have some no goes but mostly anything.
10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?
Do I write them? No not generally. Have I written them? I was going to say no I haven’t and I would be lying. I have one that will never see the light of day that I wrote as a young teen that was a crossover between multiple fandoms that that had nothing to do with each other than I had OCs for each of them. The premise was that they all put on a homecoming production (if you don’t know what that is, in short students put on a whole thing where they dance and sing to songs from specific decades that end in the same date as the year the current year to celebrate alumni who graduated on years that ended in the same date. i.e. 2023, 2013, 2003 etc). ANYWAYS I don’t know what I was doing and it never got finished but I think about how unhinged it was. There had to have been like 5 different fandoms in it minimum. Man was preteen me having a great time.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
No and lets keep it that way 😊 or else.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Not that I know of.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
No, it would be a disaster tbh bc idk what deadlines are.
14. What’s your all time favourite ship?
Any of my blurbos/OC or reader 😊. (i.e blurbo/me) LOLOL but like for a media where it’s not me, fictional me, or me again it would have to be Tidus/ Yuna from Final Fantasy X. They had a such a wonderful love story and they make my heart wobble.
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
All of them but unfortunately some of them (most of them) may forever stay unfinished because I’m just not good at writing multiple chapters. See Seven Devils and how long it took me to get the last 2 chapters up. AND IT WAS ONLY 7 CHAPTERS THAT WERE PREDETERIMED. Anyways I have a Final Fantasy 15 one I would like to finish because all the chapters were planned out but then I went to university.
16. What are your writing strengths?
Erm I’ve gotten comments about how well I write details and it’s flattering because honestly, I feel like I’m just word vomiting (stares at the next question with dread). But I guess details are my strengths? 😅
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
Everything! Next question.
Jk (is she) Uhm I think my dialogues can be a bit bland and go on and on with no real end or why the conversation is going that way (she should go outside and talk to ppl more). Also the transition from platonic to romance (nervous laughter) it’s why one of my HP fics isn’t being written and why I usually just dump readers into things that area already established or almost close to.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
What an apt question, I’ve actually been struggling with this for some fics lately because I have characters who speak another language (Mandarin). Some languages work well for fics written in English i.e the ones that naturally have Romanized words like French, Italian, etc etc . And some (stares at Mandarin) don’t because of how every word would need a tonal mark basically and it’s tedious (again just my thought). I could just write them in characters but that would be even worse for English readers LOL. So now I just go "and so said this in Mandarin" and sometimes I add clues giving readers a hint letting them know. Anyways TLDR: Go for it if you want to, some languages are tricker than others.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
Either Final Fantasy 12 or Naruto can’t remember 100%
20. Favourite fic you’ve written?
Really asking the hard hitting questions aren't yall 😭Erm um. Ayo I don't really know tbh. I'll go with Seven Devils bc it was absolutely unhinged and it was the first multi chapter thing I completed which I'm proud of!
But also I'm quite having fun writing my current fic (shameless plug for Entangled Hearts right here u should click it!) mostly because @smilingformoney lets me yell at her about my thoughts and she yells at me about her thoughts and we are like yeee good times. Also I can also give my OC some trauma LOL but also a sweet puppy in human form as a boyfriend (and maybe even husband)
That's it my friends thanks for listening to the rambles and thanks again to Millie for the tags (ilysm 🥰) feel free to be nosy whenever.

IM SORRY I PICKED SO MANY I JUST LIKE PICKING APART FELLOW WRITING BRAINS
sorry this took so long and is probably very uninteresting
5 - What's a fic idea you've had that you will never write - Hoooo boy, i am the queen of fic ideas I'll never write. Lots of angst and fluff. One that my brain has pretty detailed out lately is just an ABO-type AU where NaJeongMoSaHyo are all married to each other living life n stuff. I think it'd be cute, to follow them thru getting together, and then big life events. Ups and downs. Marriage and all that. Eventually they'd have kids, raise em all together. It'd be adorable and wholesome and very slice of life.
6 - Any fics from others you reread all the time? - Hell yeah there are
The First Snowfall by YOU when i want my feelings absolutely wrecked :(
Oh My God They Were Roommates & The Island of Misfit Toys by lildemonlili
This Night Is Sparkling, Dont Let You Go by amperis
To Serve Her by bbygirldahyun
Ready To Be Mine? by Sleephyuns/Ginnumeru
Definitely a few more i couldn't find/ cant remember.
(usual disclaimer because this is not an 18+ blog and im paranoid: please mind the rating on these, theyre all rated T, M, or E on AO3. Do not disrespect a writer by ignoring their rating or warning)
11- Do you have a specific playlist for writing fics? - I actually dont listen to music when i write. Music tends to distract me cuz my brain runs away with it... but i should try that, maybe
12 -Do you have a playlist for your current WIPs? - Nope.
13- How much planning do you do before writing? - Almost none, which is unfortunate for anyone who would like me to update anything in a timely manner. I know a vague direction i want something to go in, or I know certain scenes I want to happen later down the line. I kinda just write to connect a vague story or concept. i almost never have an ending in mind; thats kinda why i favor AUs... theyre stories from a universe, and I can keep sharing stories as I think of them. Unless its a oneshot, or a published fic... then i know the beginning and a vague ending. Coven AU has a ton of lore because I drank a lot of coffee one day and had a notepad. Most lore for any au i have just relies on me going 'oh thats a GOOD idea ill remember that'.... reader, i have severe ADHD that i do not manage in any way. I dont remember that.
18 - What's one of your favorite lines you've written in a fic? - Oh boy. Probably none of them, i dont love my like... writing style? It isn't pretty, just plain. So i suppose its only, ' “You woke me up. And you’re making my bed smell like tequila. Why would I move over for you?” She mumbled, moving over. ' from roommates AU. Because Dubchaeng loves each other.
19 - Small teaser from a WIP - Ok i was gonna be mean and give you one for a very far in the future very angsty roommates fill but i WONT thatd be mean. heres coven au
Jihyo lifted her arms to throw another bolt of electricity, one to end the fight before either of them got hurt. The familiar smell of ozone stung her nose before Tzuyu’s hand landed on her arm, snapping her out of her concentration.
“Don’t. They stopped.”
“Tzuyu, they tried to barbecue us.”
“You tried to hit them first.”
Jihyo grabbed for her as she took a determined step forward, calling out in what must have been the same language they were speaking.
Ever the diplomat, Jihyo thought. Forever offering the olive branch and trying to get herself killed.
She remained ready to summon another strike.
22 - Do you know how your fic will end before you write it - Not usually. Im very bad at endings. If its a fill for an AU i just write until it feels correct to stop/I run out of ideas. The overall AUs i have no clue how theyd end, maybe a vague direction for some. I do know how my one fic is going to end though, if i ever finish it (i 99% will not im so sorry)
24 - share a moodboard from a WIP - I dont do moodboards but that's another good idea i should try
25 - Have you ever made yourself upset with your own writing - Yea, in that I dont like it and get frustrated when my fingers wont just type shit. I dont think ive written anything too sad.
27 - is there a fic you were nervous to post? - I was nervous to share baby SMC au. I thought it was a cute concept but didnt know if anyone else would. Or if they'd find it weird i made SMC so young.

hello warrior cats community
i am clawing myself up out of my grave to announce that Dusk to Dawn has finally been completed. yeah i just dumped five chapters in there. woo.
now, i did have to condense the last, idk, 13 or so chapters into two parts, just speedrunning the highlights, because i am so tired and busy right now, but the plot is there. it exists. and that's about as much as i can ask for.
so you may assume that that's the end of the story. i mean, D2D was a bit of a mess. it took two and a half years and i spent most of that time on hiatus and tearing my hair out. but what's that quote? the only thing worse than writing is not writing. and at least half of my motivation to finish D2D was to get to the parts that come after.
which means that, yes, i'm still going to continue my rewrite. i just have to reevaluate and adjust.
the initial plan was for all parts to have roughly the same level of scale as D2D (which was planned to have ~200k words), or be even longer. this is because i have adhd and dangerous levels of optimism. i know there are people out there who can sustain themselves for multiple hundreds of thousands of words writing fictional cat rewrites, but i am not one of them. i can't do that, realistically.
so, i'm scaling back. PO3/Three of Swords and OOTS/Sign of the Four are both going to be around 50-70k. aiming toward the lower end there, but i know i have a tendency to, uh, go slightly overboard. see above. this way, i have a better chance of finishing both fics in a timely manner, and for 3OS especially, i won't have to drag the beaten corpses of plotlines that have been established for half of D2D on forever and ever.
what this also means is that i'm going to do a LOT of cutting and reshuffling. if it wasn't already clear, 3OS is not going to really attempt to stick to canon at all, not like D2D. we're going off the rails bonkers. Rule of Cool, etc etc. SOT4 will likely be the same.
and what comes after that? well, i'm so glad you asked. i've mentioned before that my plan for the end of OOTS is to have the clans only technically win the great battle. a pyrrhic victory, if you will (guess who just learned that phrase, hehe).
after that happens, there will be an interlude fic, probably about 50-70k as well, but potentially longer because i really love the concept. currently the working title for that is Pyrrhic/Pyrrhus. i might change it. it's already had several title changes. but it exists!
after THAT, if i'm still hanging around, i'd love to do an AVOS rewrite. that's about as far as my ambition extends, though. the problem is that post-OOTS, the clans' population is devastated (seriously, they need to lose way more cats) and their culture completely changes because, well, duh. that makes it very hard for the story to bear any kind of resemblance to a canon built around the old four clans. like, most of the cast of AVOS/TBC simply would not be born bc their parents died.
but yeah. we'll cross that bridge when we get to it.
as far as a timeline goes, optimistically i'd like to start posting Three of Swords by the end of 2023. yeah, that's a long way away. i'm busy, y'all, and the Most Ideal thing would be to have it almost completely done so we don't end up trapped in another 2.5 year disaster.
if you would like to encourage the fic to move faster, you can feed my brainworms by asking me stuff or throwing ideas my way! on this blog, preferably. i know i made a sideblog for the 'verse, but i don't feel like dealing with it right now. i'll leave it up in case i change my mind, though.
if you made it all the way through this, hi! thanks! it's been fun. i gotta go write.

𝓦𝐑𝐈𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐒' 𝓦𝐑𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐄𝐃 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒
hii ! in spite of my account currently being shadow banned I still wanted to make a little wrapped of the year that was. (I've seen a lot of creators on here do it, though I'm not sure who started it so if you know of anyone I can credit for this please let me know)!
#serene adds ✎.. where to even start >.< ? in February of 2024 I started writing/or more like dumping my thoughts onto a doc and then posting them lol. I never in a million years excepted to finish the year with nearly 1.7k followers and so so much support. This year has allowed me to express myself creatively and explore the world of literature in ways that has both challenged and helped me grow immensely and I'm forever thankful!
𝐓𝐎 𝐌𝐘 𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐃𝐄𝐑𝐒 None of this would've ever been possible without you guys ! Your continued love and support for this little blog is what keeps me going and interacting with you guys never fails to make me smile <3 I love to be equally excited over the things I write with you guys, and you've never done me wrong in any way. I don't know how to ever express my gratitude towards you enough, but I do truly, love each and all of you <3
..and now for the wrapped !
𝐓𝐎𝐏 𝟑 𝐅𝐈𝐂𝐒 𝐎𝐅 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒
THE REDEMPTION OF CHOI YEONJUN At 2085 notes trocyj is without a doubt my most popular fic of the year! Posted all the way back in July yet it still gets recognition almost everyday, I'm beyond amazed. You guys liked the concept just as much as me and I'm so excited for its long awaited sequel to be released soon!
NOONA'S ROOM With 1044 notes Noona's Room proudly takes second place, and I'm so happy with this fic! Definitely wasn't one I expected to blow up like it did but I'm forever thankful nonetheless. Brother's best friend trope is a classic :3
THIN WALLS Now this one took me by surprise.. Posted in literally February of 2024, Thin Walls is my second oldest work, ever. The writing is beyond poor and the parts are short. However I can't deny that there's a certain charm to the grammatical errors and the awkward story telling. It shows my growth in a beautiful way I think.
𝐒𝐄𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐄'𝐒 𝐅𝐀𝐕𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐓𝐄 𝐅𝐈𝐂 𝐎𝐅 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒
A MOMMY'S BOY
I think it goes without saying that this fic is beyond my favourite. I talk about it too much for it to go unnoticed. AMB is one of my most emotionally deep works and I think that the storyline flows in a perfect way. The characters are fleshed out to my liking, the smut is divine and ties the plot perfectly. The ending is my favourite ending to ever have written, the way the title ties into the story has me on the floor, in all, I love A Mommy's Boy and will continue to boast it for as long as I live.
𝐒𝐄𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐄'𝐒 𝐅𝐀𝐕𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐓𝐄 𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐃𝐒 One thing about me is that when a fic sticks with me, it sticks. I have read so so many beautiful works this year, but the three that stood out the most to me would be the following:
Divnity for the Damned by @koqabear The storytelling of this fic is so compelling, it draws you in like no else, immersing you completely in the plot. I love the dream aspect of the fic (without spoiling too much) but it's such a niche yet important detail to the entirety of the fic that I feel most writers would just skip over. The ending catches you so off guard yet it's so completely perfect and makes so much sense that you wonder how you couldn't have seen it coming yourself. Perfect fucking fic, cries.
.3:13 a.m. (m) by @agustdiv1ne Onto my long vampire agenda. I've consumed every pixel of vampire!txt that I could possibly get my hands on. This I read back in march, but it's the one that has stuck with me throughout this year and that's why I feel it deserves this mention. The writing, the longing and the yearning. The way he literally cannot hold himself back, I am going to die on the vampire beomgyu hill and I shall do so with pride. This fic had everything I'm looking for.
(sort of) fucking annoying neighbour by @hyewka This fic. I love the idea of cocky Yeonjun being put in his place. There's just something so oddly satisfying about the whole build up of this, the growing tension, Yeonjun's cockiness but also his blatant obliviousness is fucking perfect. Then again, anything by rana I will absolutely devour like I was on death row being served my last meal.
𝐆𝐎𝐀𝐋𝐒 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 This year has been on my mind a lot, huge things are to come my way, like graduation! And while I'm nervous as shit for most of them, I can't help but feel a sense of excitement too! This year is going to be my year, and I have so many aspirations for it !
I want to finish Criminal Conscience! The series has been on my mind a lot recently and it's something I've been meaning to get around to for the later part of last year as well, I'm hoping that now can finally be the time!
I want to experiment with different au's, explore the depth of my writing skills.
I want to write something big.
And most importantly I wish to be happy and continue to thrive on this blog <3
2024 was amazing thanks to you guys and though I've had a lot of hardships outside of Tumblr, being on here always made me feel better. I'm wishing for an even better 2025 for all of us ! Love, Serene.

——— THREE SERIOUS FACTS ! ♡
I can be slow to warm up sometimes. It's not that I don't like you or I don't want to get to know you, but sometimes I get caught up in my own head regarding other people's boundaries and then I'm overly careful and come across reserved or distant. If you give me permission and assure me of that permission, I will be in your dms yapping NONSTOP.
I love pitching you aus at 2 am. Sometimes things just pop into my brain, and the later I pop into your dms the wilder the au, honestly. I've pitched people everything from slight canon alterations to straight up cyberpunk. Related to this, I also really love long-winded plotting. I like developing extended universe things and fleshing out our characters within the au or setting we have decided on.
I'm very much about matching energy and balancing what we plot. I am so very happy to fulfill your wishlist items and I hope you'd be willing to look over mine! After all, rp is all about what we want to do with our muses, both of us. It's only fun if everybody is having fun!
——— THREE RANDOM FACTS ! ♡
I have been drawing for 10 years! Well, 10 plus if you really want to count the earliest attempts, but seriously and digitally, 10 years.
I play (WILDLY HOMEBREW) dungeons and dragons and dm a (also probably wildly homebrew) call of cthulu campaign for my musical theatre groupchat. We're looking to start a (ABSOLUTELY GOING TO BE WILDLY HOEMBREW) vampire the masquerade game too but honestly we've been stuck halfway through the last dnd session for two months bc somebody had to go and now none of us have coinciding free time and at this rate we're never going to finish any of the campaigns XD
When I'm gone from dash for long periods of time, I'm most likely sewing. Hobby I picked up from the cosplay (Tm) days, which is really not surprising.
——— EXPERIENCE ! ♡
It'll be a decade officially in Jan. 2025 that I've been doing tumblr rp!
My first tumblr rp blog was in L.es M.is playing E.njolras. Historically I've written for a lot of broadway fandoms (some of which branched into classic lit and some nostalgic lit), and this particular blog that I am currently on first started as a kdrama blog, became a cdrama blog, and then took a turn straight into "obscure cnovels only Ro reads because they aren't really fully translated" land.
I was doing deviantart notes rp long before all that though. I'm from the 1v1 OCxCanon you write someone I want to write against I'll write someone you want to write against era. Not my proudest moments / best writing but...I remember having fun as a 13 year old, so really, that's all that matters, probably. If I cringe about it now maybe it's cause I'm now a killjoy adult , etc. etc.
It's really cool to me that I've got rp friendships coming up on like...8 years now. When I think about it it's crazy that it's been so long, but also it feels like time has hardly passed. If we make rp friends we'll probably be rp friends forever. People come out of the woodwork from years ago and I'll welcome them back like no time has passed. I'll probably even still remember all our plotting because I'm NOSTALGIC and I mourn my inactive comrades by rereading our old stuff.
——— MUSE PREFERENCE ! ♡
My own muse type is fragile but vicious and beautiful and venomous and overall morally gray bois who would sell you to the devil through sending you to hell by their own blades for complicated and painful likely circumstantial reasons, after much internal conflict. Conversely though, it is also genuinely Good-Hearted, understanding, sunshine (if sometimes overly mischievous) ladies who are ultimately unafraid to chase the fate they want and remain true to themselves and their values despite sometimes questioning if they're asking for too much when they stand up for themselves, putting up with a lot and having a tinge of abandonment issues.
The muse type I'm generally a sucker for across my own muses and other people's muses is tragically unhinged. I love me a tiny bit of unhinged in a character. There's so much meat to an unhinged character and a lot of juicy dimension to get into. Plenty of potential too, for basically any genre of plotting.
I find myself writing a lot of female ocs recently! Don't know if that's just how the way the plotting falls or if I'm just like...hanging on like that.
——— FLUFF / ANGST / SMUT ! ♡
FLUFF : Fluff is soul food! I love a good soft thread (especially after some heavy angst hhhh). I personally enjoy the idea of acceptance and care when it comes to fluff. There's something quietly intimate about fluff that I enjoy picking out of my threads, and I enjoy letting my muses be cared for and caring for others! There's also development to be had here tbh, and I enjoy the contrast of quieter emotions and expression.
ANGST : Angst is my bread and butter. I think I enjoy angst more than I enjoy any other genre of writing, and I have a sneaking suspicion it's about emotional intensity. I think both the hurt and the comfort come from and are big emotions, and I think development most frequently comes from big emotions. So, in general I think I tend to be able to wrangle the most development out of angst threads and therefore the most satisfaction. I'm generally not here for hurt no comfort! Though I do also sometimes enjoy killing a random character off and just...seeing how the pieces grow back together.
SMUT : I feel like I've gotten laxer/how I feel about it has changed a bit as time has passed. Reassessing, I think I'm not entirely opposed to writing smut, actually? Maybe not on tumblr though. I overthink what I post on tumblr a lot, so if I'm actually going to write smut I think it has to be somewhere I feel like it's less likely to accidentally shove it in someone's face. Also, I'd need a ridiculous amount of rapport with the other mun to feel comfortable and not super embarrassed. So! That's how that goes.
PLOT / MEMES : I'd love for it to be both, actually. I think memes can create plot hooks, and on the other hand, plotting can inspire memes. The caveat is that you have to be willing to talk about it in the end, I guess! I think having context for an idea, a verse, or something between our muses, and then sending a meme about it is like the flexibility and spontaneity we need to keep a plot fresh sometimes. Like if you've hammered out all the details, throwing a meme into it makes it a little less rigid, you know? And on the other hand, if we have no real concrete ideas for a muse relationship or plot, throwing a meme into it could spark the correct questions to ask so that we can arrive at some kind of plot, and give us some inspiration to jumpstart where we want to take a dynamic. So bottom line is: please do both! If we can talk about it and spin it out more in the end, that's all that really matters.
tagged by : stole it from the tag cause I wanted to do it tagging :
#ooc : who was that shape in the shadows? whose is the face in the mask?#tagging game : little lotte let her mind wander#((basically found it while looking for a meme and stole it haha))
