WonderBat scenario in which Diana meets all the kids and is concerned about Bruce being all stoic with them when she knows he can be a softie and has seen him be a marshmallow with teen/child perps...
She tries to ask him why he's like that, and he tells her it's very hard for him to make himself emotionally available to his children because... well. They're so much better than him? And he doesn't want to be a burden to them, so he keeps them at arms-length to give them space to grow.
She blinks. Then she shakes her head because. What. What. She didn't know it was possible to be THAT stupid.
And at dinner she eases the way by getting his ankle caught in her Lasso of Truth and asking him Questions about the kids and their current projects. Everyone is very bewildered when B starts to stoically rave about how great they are and how proud he is of them and their work.

Why Symbrock Works
This is a ship I support, almost more than wonderbat. Thank God it was canon in the comics. And it reminds me of ZaDr from Invader Zim but more chaotic.
These two are a perfect example of idiots in love type of ship. The first Venom movie showed us that Venom was already in love with Eddie, fans who didn't notice that were in homophobic denial or were just blind.
The audacity to tease fans about Eddie and Annie getting back together when we could've seen an example of queer representation. Venom 2 fortunately showed us they're married couple dynamic.
Eddie is clearly the lecturer and voice of reason while Venom is the brash, chaotic troublemaker. Though that doesn't mean Eddie is smarter than Venom. As I said, they are both idiots. I'm not a fan of polyamory but I am not pissed if they did that representation. It's fine by me. But it'd be better if the main relationship in the movie were just those two losers excluding Annie.
Before I watched Venom 2, I had already guessed how immature Venom is and how much of a baby he can be. So I felt relieved the movie confirmed that headcanon. Venom was a super fun character in the sequel.
Symbrock is a ship that should be explored in future movies. Not sure if it would be necessary to bring in Spider-Man. Venom is technically an anti hero and is a good guy because of Eddie. Unless they team to fight an actual villain, I don't see where Peter Parker will fit to be honest.
So many fans love this ship, I see webcomics, fanfics and fanart about them everywhere on social media. Fans support this ship, not all for the same reason but they are still rooting for the couple.

Slow Dance
Happy Valentine's Day y'all. Here's an entry for the WonderBat JukeBox event. The song I based this on was Slow Dance by Kelly Clarkson. If you haven't heard it, I would definitely recommend. And when I get back to a space where I can spend some time writing more, I definitely will do more things based on some songs that remind me of our favorite Bat/Amazon duo. Hope you like!
He wasn't at all like what I was expecting.
When I had arrived on Man's World, when I had joined the Justice League along with the six other individuals who had saved the Earth from The Invasion, I had little expectations. I knew nothing other than Themyscira, my home, my family, the only paradise I had spent my days on. I knew nothing of the men and women with extraordinary abilities, fighting for justice and peace, keeping the citizens of Earth safe. I knew nothing of the extraordinary people with no abilities, risking their lives to help protect those who had no means to protect themselves. I knew nothing about the people of Man's World, but over time I had learned what to expect.
Over time I had learned what drove the people of this world, their reasonings for the way they perceived things, their intentions for how they acted. Over time I had become accustomed to the way people acted, how they treated others, the personas they displayed. Over time I had come to care for the people the League protected, and over time I had come to accept the League members as my family. A dysfunctional family, but one nonetheless.
I had learned what to expect with every member of the League - well almost every member. There was still the one who had escaped every chance he could get, sneaking out of Founder meetings, ignoring what he deemed non-essential calls, keeping himself hidden in the shadows of Gotham, prioritizing the city that had become his one true love. The first few months I had known The Batman, I had thought him to be just another dysfunctional man, hidden behind the trauma that forced him to wear the cape and cowl, fighting for a city that didn't want to be saved. But the more I learned about The Batman, the more I discovered the man underneath, the more I realized it was further from the truth.
Nothing made that discovery even more surprising than when I had learned the truth behind the man in the mask. Seeing Bruce's name for the first time, knowing that had been the man who had avoided getting close to me for so long, had sparked something in me I hadn't realized initially, but the more I saw him, the more I got to glimpse the dark cape in the halls of the Watchtower, the cowl scowling at me across the table at Founder's meetings, the more I felt drawn to him.
Then came Paris.
I had come to Paris knowing Bruce would be there. I knew who he was, who he truly was, and I wanted to finally talk to him, face to face, without the pressures of the League. I wanted to talk to him without the mask. I wanted him to know The Batman did not scare me, and I had marched into that party, ignoring the flashing of all the cameras, my mind focused on finding the man I had flown across the world for. But everything changed the moment I heard his voice. My heart had fluttered when he grabbed my hand and led me away from the cameras and reporters, twirling me to face him as he began to sway to the music. All the planned arguments I had concocted up to this point seemed to vanish from my mind as I danced with him.
Suddenly all the preconceived opinions I had once had of the man melted away. While we danced in Paris, I noticed something I hadn't noticed before. I was able to look into Bruce's eyes for the first time since stepping into Man's World, and what I saw made my heart hurt for the man. The pain hidden in his eyes was unlike nothing I had seen before. This man was in agony, his soul fighting with his body, the smirk on his face wavering as we continued to dance.
Then, later that week, when I had fallen and had been rendered unconscious, I still remember the fear in his voice as he woke me, worried I had been hurt far worse than I actually had been. I had seen a different side to Bruce, and I would stop at nothing until I saw that part of him once more.
Countless stakeouts, missions, flirty late night coffee breaks during monitor duty had only strengthened the bond between us. He was the one person I trusted most.
"Is everything alright?"
My eyes dart up to Bruce's face, watching as the man across from me takes a sip from the wine glass in his hand. I give him a slight nod and finish chewing the bite I had taken before Bruce had asked his question, before I take a sip from my own glass of wine. "Everything is wonderful," I answer, flashing him a small smile.
Bruce nods and places his glass of wine near his empty plate, his hand lingering on the glass as the nerves he has been trying desperately to suppress all night show through. "Good. I'm glad you are enjoying yourself."
I flash Bruce another small smile and let myself give him another small nod. "I'm glad you finally made good on your promise to take me dancing," I say, smirking as he attempts to stare me in the eye, trying not to get caught staring at the strapless red dress that falls just above my knees. "Although I thought there'd be a lot more dancing."
Bruce chuckles nervously. "As I recall," he begins as he shifts in his seat. "It was you who declared I owed you a night of dancing."
"And yet we still remain seated."
I watch as Bruce nods and glances down at his glass of wine. He's stalling, trying to find a way to set up the wall I've been chipping away at since coming home from Kaznia. "Diana," he warns, his voice wavering as he debates whether to give in to the internal struggle going on in his mind.
"Bruce," I reply, warning him with my tone. When he asked me to dinner tonight I knew it was time to explore what had been hidden there since day one. In such a short time, Bruce had become my best friend, and I knew I was, if not close to being, his. Even Clark had commented on our growing friendship, stating it had taken Bruce years to trust him enough to form a friendship, when it had only taken us a few months. I knew I could trust Bruce with anything and I wanted to make sure he knew he could trust me as well.
"You know we're walking a very fine line," Bruce states, his eyes moving up to meet mine.
"Why must there be a line?" I question. He opens his mouth to respond but I shake my head and continue, "You know there's something more between us, Bruce."
Bruce sighs. He doesn't deny my statement. There is something more between us, in some regards there has always been, but I'm curious to see just how far he's willing to discuss. The Bruce I had met in Paris would have shut this conversation down the moment we walked into the restaurant arm in arm.
"You and I, Diana, is a bad idea."
I only shake my head and chuckle. "No, leaving my home and getting myself exiled was a bad idea. But I'm trying to find the positive in it and making it work out." I lean back and fold my arms over my chest. "The same can be said for you and I."
Bruce lets out another sigh. He bites the inside of his cheek, trying to find the words to respond to what I've just said. "You don't understand," he begins. "Being with me is not easy."
"Neither is just being your friend," I tease. I watch as he tries to keep himself from smiling. This man needs to let himself feel happiness, and I'm all too willing to help him achieve it. I lower my voice and lean in. "This facade gives me whiplash," I whisper, watching as his eyebrow raises in confusion.
"What does that mean?" he asks, his voice in a hushed tone.
I only give him a small shrug. "You know what I mean. Bruce Wayne," I say, emphasizing his last name, "is known for his confident, powerful, demeanor." My eyes close as I take a small breath, opening them to see the man across from me waiting for what else I have to say. "But Bruce Wayne…."
He nods his head. I don't need to finish my statement. Like so many of our conversations, this one ends with an all too knowing look - it's one of the reasons we work so well. Never have I felt this connected with someone, let alone a man from Man's World.
I let out a small sigh and place my hand on the table, opening it, glaring at Bruce until he glances down at my open hand. "Can I at least get a dance?"
Bruce gives me a small smile and nods his head as he places his hand in mine. "I think I can do that." He stands from his seat and moves around the table, my hand still in his as I rise from my seat. He leads me to the dance floor, where a few couples have been dancing throughout the night, and turns me to face him. "But be warned, I'm not as good of a dancer as people think."
"Don't worry," I say, a smirk on my face. "We can take it slow, and I'll show you how to slow dance." I give him a small wink which earns a smirk in response.
He places a hand on the small of my back and pushes me close, our chests meeting as he begins to slowly sway to the soft jazz filling the room. We dance in silence for the first song. I find myself casually running my hand up his arm, gently stroking his back as we move in unison.
"Everyone is looking at us," I say, my cheeks a shade of bright pink as I try to avoid the multiple stares from other patrons I can see over Bruce's shoulder.
Bruce glances over my shoulder and shakes his head. "Everyone is looking at you," he says as his hand pushes at my back, pulling me closer.
A small gasp escapes my lips as our bodies push tighter together. His hand is possessively on my back as he glances toward the door, his eyes narrowing as he silently tells the men staring our way there is a reason their hands aren't the one currently on my back. The one making its way higher up my back, leaving my skin tingling as I feel his fingertips dance along my spine.
"They're probably staring at Bruce Wayne so unkempt," I joke once more, letting my hands fall to the tie around his neck that has been pulled loose several times throughout dinner tonight. "Everyone is probably waiting in fear to see if you're philandering will result in another inappropriate display."
Bruce lets out a hearty laugh. The sound forces a smile on my lips and my heart flutters. "That was one time," he explains, "and it wasn't by choice."
I nod, pretending to be understanding. "Of course," I say, feigning sympathy. "I, too, feel the need to be in the nude in the middle of a gala."
Bruce clears his throat and continues to stare over my shoulder, trying to appear as if what I have just said has no effect. "That's not what happened," he says, his lips pursing in thought. "Remind me to never leave you alone with Alfred again."
I let out a laugh and gently pat his chest. "I'm only joking, Bruce," I say, gently stroking his face, forcing the frown that has settled on his face to disappear. "In all fairness, this has been a great evening, and I'm glad you finally took me dancing."
"In all fairness, we should have done this much sooner." He slows his swaying, his hands stilling on my back as he leans back to look me in the eye.
I stare into Bruce's eyes, the tight feeling that has been plaguing the pit of my stomach everytime I look at Bruce, returning. I know I didn't press Bruce for any kind of promise to be more than friends, and he may not return the feelings I have, but at the moment all I can think about is how soft his lips look in the subtle light of the restaurant. Before I know what I'm doing, I lean toward Bruce, the thought of kissing him silencing any thoughts of what this would mean.
Bruce places a hand on my neck, slowing the path of my lips, giving himself plenty of time to retreat if this is not what he wants. To my surprise, he leans closer to me, his thumb gently stroking my cheek as his line of vision falls from my eyes to my lips.
Our lips grow closer, the air around us suddenly feeling thicker. Our lips are a mere inch from colliding when Bruce freezes, his attention moving from my face to his chest, where an insistent alarm has begun to sound from his jacket pocket. He pulls the alarming device from his jacket pocket, his eyes glancing up to meet mine as he shows me the signal of The Batman flashing on the small screen.
And just like that our night is over. He is needed in Gotham.
"It's okay," I whisper. My hand gently strokes his cheek when I see the pained expression on his face. "Go ahead, Bruce."
He nods and silences the alarm, glancing at the screen for a moment before he places the device back into his pocket. "I'll make it up to you," he whispers as he pulls away from me.
I give him a small nod. "I expect nothing less," I say with a smirk, watching him turn on his heel before I turn back toward our table. I take a step toward the table when someone grabs my arm and turns me around. Before I can protest, Bruce's lips are on my own, his hand on the back of my head keeping me locked in place, not that I would even attempt to escape.
His lips are as soft as I had imagined. His hands, calloused from years fighting crime, are somehow soft against my skin, gently caressing my cheeks and the base of my neck as he allows himself to relax. The kiss is over just as quickly as it began, but it has done its job. This one kiss has made it clear the feelings I have for Bruce are not one sided.
"We'll talk when I get done," he promises. I nod and watch as he releases his hold on me, before he turns and runs toward the front door of the restaurant, grabbing the credit card from our waiter he had given as we had started our meal.
I quickly return to the table and grab my purse, letting the smile on my lips linger as I glance over at the seat Bruce had occupied for the night. I turn on my heel and walk out of the restaurant, activating my comlink to ask J'onn to transport me back to the Watchtower. I connect with J'onn as the Batsignal begins to shine bright against the dull cloud covered sky of Gotham, smiling as I am transported back to the space station that houses most of the League members.
As I walk back to my quarters I can't help but run my finger along my bottom lip, remembering the feeling of Bruce's lips on my own, the taste of the red wine he had consumed with dinner still lingering. The door to my quarters slides open and I walk inside, letting it slide closed behind me. As I undress for the night, thoughts of Bruce and our dinner consume my mind, my lips curled into a constant smile. This was not how I had imagined the night going, but I'm glad Bruce at least now seemed open to the thought of an idea of us.
Bruce Wayne was definitely not who I had ever imagined I would have had feelings for. I had never anticipated falling for this man, never imagined the slow burning affection that would culminate into something deeper. I never thought the man who hid in the shadows would have become the first person I would think of in the morning. I never imagined the man who hid his true nature from the world to be the one I spilled my deepest secrets to. No, Bruce Wayne and all his chaos wasn't at all like I was expecting. He was, in fact, much better.

Don't think I've seen you talk on this but since you've talked about their respective love interests already, what's your thought on the Superman and Wonder Woman pairing?
Let's go two for one and throw in WonderBat as well. Short answer is that both of the relationships are bad for Wonder Woman, and I don't want her to end up with either.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/2f1ca0f96cd5648e46a9d21fbea7b264/77152975df02dfc4-64/s540x810/0a3180bb3498b714360f156fdaaddce1f23c85d1.jpg)
Now I'm not opposed to her dating either of the two as a temporary thing. Diana has enough in common with both that I can buy her feeling a spark of romance with either. Diana and Clark are by nature different from normal humans, but also idealists who believe the world can be better than it is, because humanity is much better than it believes itself to be. Diana and Bruce are both blue bloods who have trained since childhood in pursuit of a cause, Bruce the elimination of crime, Diana the fulfillment of the Amazon ideal. That she'd look at Clark or Bruce and consider making a go of being in a relationship with either has enough basis in the similarities to be found amongst the trio that it doesn't feel completely out of left field.
In-universe though there's just no way I buy a permanent relationship between Diana and Clark or Bruce. For one Diana's mission is different from theirs, she's an ambassador whose mission is explicitly geared towards advocating for change to the status quo. Clark and Bruce certainly have their own opinions, but neither one is as comfortable in the political arena as she is. Were the United States government to do something the Trinity disapproved of, Clark and Bruce would prefer to handle things covertly in their superhero identities, or to use their secret identities to push back in public. Diana on the other hand would have no problem issuing a condemnation as Wonder Woman, she's not afraid to throw her hat in the public square. Inevitably I can see that causing fights between her and either one of them were they together. With Bruce specifically Diana isn't putting up with his control freak tendencies, paranoia, or abrasiveness. With Clark I think she'd take issue with all the lying he does in order to maintain his secret identity, despite claiming to fight for Truth, and that would be a point of contention between the two.
Another problem is that Diana is the one who has to get folded into their worlds because they're "bigger" than she is in DC's eyes. Much as the "Trinity" is a cool concept, it's also a blatant lie. Three of them are not on equal footing, not in terms of popularity, profitability, adaptions in media projects, comics sales, or the number of iconic stories each posses. Batman has the other two lapped completely, with Superman struggling behind, and Wonder Woman even further in the rear. So if she's going to be dating either one it's not going to be a romance of equals, and historically it hasn't been.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/598f263d679899bb69517216f98d729d/77152975df02dfc4-e6/s540x810/6a8a0fcb22d4a40dff133f5922a67ef47912e746.jpg)
When she's dating Clark they tend to ramp up the bitchiness factor by 10, so she can be a more effective foil for him. Kingdom Come was the first story to pair the two in a really big way, and that has her waving her sword around and advocating for the most violent solution to every problem. Wonder Woman gets written out of character for Superman's benefit, so that he gets to be the reasonable one despite constantly fucking up. It's a characterization that carried forward into the New 52, Frank Miller's take on their romance, and Injustice. Additionally there's usually no real serious exploration of why the two like each other beyond "he's strong and dressed in red, gold, & blue, she's strong and dressed in red, gold, & blue, of course they get together!" which is utterly shallow characterization for both.
With Batman they tend to turn her into a starstruck fangirl who has no greater goal in life than to hop on his dick (let's call it the "Silver Age Lois Lane" treatment). DCAU Wonder Woman is lousy because outside of her crush on Batman, she has no character arc or personality at all. Doesn't endear me to the relationship that the DCAU showrunners said their reason for pairing her with Batman was simply because they didn't want to pair her with Superman (ignoring that they didn't have to pair her with either and that they were pretty open in not knowing what the hell to do with her). They treated Wonder Woman as just another way to confirm how awesome Batman is, with her being yet another one of the women who threw themselves at him, and he stepped over in response.
Then there's the storytelling problems you have to consider. Look unless they job the ever-loving fuck out of her, how would the average Batman plot even work anymore? Usually they handwave why the other heroes don't show up to help Batman with the latest Arkham freak's plot to destroy all of Gotham, by saying that he doesn't want them in "his" city. Well if he and Diana are dating there's no good reason why he'd keep her out, and she sure as hell isn't going to just stay away if her boyfriend is in trouble. Majority of Batman's Rogues pose zero threat to Wonder Woman, unlike Superman she doesn't have Kryptonite/red solar radiation you can use to level the playing field either, and she'd be able to wrap up something like the Magistrate without breaking a sweat. Wonder Woman is just too powerful to exist in Gotham without getting massively nerfed, which would only anger her fans. Cross-franchise romances also have a habit of ending badly, see what became of the Black Panther/Storm marriage as evidence of that.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/edbe9e356ee8138b57d951b5e65e46ec/77152975df02dfc4-42/s540x810/bd663a19fdcab2be3d8e6c72621e443fa7072d4c.jpg)
Final reason why I don't think it can work: Wonder Woman is frequently used as a trophy that Superman and Batman writers fight over so that their favorite can be the "top dog" and get the top heroine in comics as a prize. It's not really about her it's about them, about making them look even cooler for being able to bag her. Sometimes they even add in misandrist elements to her character so that we can all smile knowingly when the man hating feminist chills out after getting dicked by one of comics "alpha males". Can't shake the feeling that pairing her with either one smacks of the worst kind of fanboyism, especially since both have plenty of love interests already. Let Diana have her own love interests in her own franchise, that's what is best for her as a character in the long run.

Hello, guys. I don't know if you have been asked this question before, but I don't understand, why do people hate so much Superman and Wonder Woman being together?
The problem is that rival shippers make ALOT of noise even though they are not in the majority and are a fraction of the comic market. They also like to troll and stalk anything Superman and Wonder Woman related, be it a comic, animation, video or article etc as if to make it seem it is hated universally and unpopular when in fact the opposite is true.
They spend time writing articles or starting threads on sites or tweets on how terrible it is despite the fact they don’t buy the comics but begrudge others buying and enjoying them. They even blame SMWW for their comics not selling when SMWW is not even canon and they have what they want! They attack the writers/ artists too like they did with Charles Soule, Tony Daniel etc. A prime example can be seen recently by one who attacked and threatened the writer of Immortal Wonder Woman Michael Conrad simply because he had some SMWW content in his story. The fact SMWW fans appreciated it and actually showed some appreciation triggers the hate.
This is the level of petulance and toxic kind of behaviour haters of SMWW engage in.
https://twitter.com/michaelwconrad/status/1362423000830599169?s=20
Many haters cannot bear the fans of the pair get a comic to enjoy. They want all for themselves and if SMWW fans stand up for themselves we are accused of all sorts of nonsense from bullying, homophobia, sexism, racism, xenophobia etc because we like SMWW together. Don’t ask me how I as a female of colour, who is from what some would call a “developing country” , can be accused of those things esp when the accusations come from people who are very priviledged and who would know nothing about racism, or xenophobia. But those are some of the tactics haters love to indulge in.
If something is so hated one would assume it is not wanted and would fail in the market, right? SMWW content and merchandise should not even be made or licensed because everyone hates it, right? YET whose merchandise do we see time and time again? Anyone following this blog knows there is a constant flow of SMWW Licensed merchandise. From his/hers sets like perfume as in the Jean Paul Gaultier sets, onesies, robes, rings sets. We had/ have tees, bags, belts, dresses, salt and pepper shakers, hoodies, watches, phonecases, and more. We had not one but TWO Kiss statues that sold out. There were games like Herocix and Dicemasters. There was a recent book from Eaglemoss on THEM , not wonderbat or wondertrev, heck not even clois. They are always popular for Halloween, weddings, birthdays and cosplay. Hell SuperWonder is constantly used in pop art and paintings and on murals. eg See Dillon Boy whose paintings go for thousands of dollars! Superman and Wonder Woman even sell cleaning products and we have pics of scores of couples with their his/ hers tattoos ! Why is this? Because SMWW along with BatCat and possibly Joker/Harley are popular with the general public and are marketed together. Why? Because WB is not stupid. And nor are merchants.
The SMWW comic also sold well. Heck, it sold better than the Rebirth Lois and Clark comic by Dan Jurgens and Batman and Wonder Woman one by Liam Sharp. Wondertrev is a weak pairing because Steve was not Diana’s lover for 30 plus years when he was aged up and married to Etta. It’s only due to Chris Pine Steve had a bit of a resurgence and even then God knows what is going on with them in the Wonder Woman comic. It does not bother us in the least DC has clois or wondertrev content. While it’s not our cup of tea, we get many fans tend to lean towards tradition. BUT we also know that there are many other fans who like Superman and Wonder Woman together. And we judge this by the sales of the new 52 which was very successful when one goes to sites like Comic Beat and Comichron and sees the actual numbers. Kingdom Come is a perennial bestseller and so is the Dark Knight Verse where SMWW are together. It’s not hate and hyperbole that sells nor does every fan care about “tradition”. DC understands this and this is why they acknowledge their multiverse because those stories are some of their best selling as opposed to the stagnant/ recycled ones of canon.
Superman and Wonder Woman currently has an account on Instagram which is at 48k followers and is the biggest shipping one. Bigger than the traditional ones. Its content reflects the large, growing base and how diverse and universal our fandom is. We boast fans of all ethnicities, religions, orientation, ages, etc and we don’t just talk, we have the evidence to back up our claims.
So no, we are not hated so much. What we have are people who feel so threatened by our couple they are willing to lie and misrepresent and bully and attack us . They tried those tactics here on tumblr too when we first started this blog in 2011. Just go back and see how salty they were. They were burning comics and destroying statues. I don’t have the time or money or energy to go buy books of pairings I don’t like just to destroy them to get likes from other haters. I would rather give books to someone or use the money to do something for someone. There is something truly toxic in those actions.
I can only presume they tried to silence and shut us up because that was their way to keep their pairing on top without competition. They were not prepared to accept we could love these characters too and value Superman and Wonder Woman as individuals and see their heroism was not defined by only being with Lois or Steve. Fact we can see how unhealthy those troupes are when they do that to heroes. Superman becomes evil and forget everything he stands for while Diana is willing sit on her ass and mope for a dead man she met decades ago and only knew for a week or worse use someone’s body without caring about that individual’s right to consent because she wants this one man so much.
At the moment we are 25,921 thousand followers on this blog. So along with the 48 thousand on Instagram, and the many other groups elsewhere, I think we are doing pretty well. Remember, we don’t have movies and tv series but what SuperWonder has are passionate and enthusiastic fans who buy content and write and draw and even if we had 100 instead of thousands, it’s our right to like what we like and no one can stop us. So be proud and ship SuperWonder.

Sugar, We’re Going Down
This whole Batman not eating pussy sh*t has been some of the best meme fodder I’ve seen in some time. I mean, of course Batman eats pussy. You see the type of women he pulls? Selina Kyle. Talia al Ghul. Silver St. Cloud. Vicki Vale. F*cking Diana Prince in some continuities. Outside of CatBat, WonderBat is the most popular pairing among the fandom. Dude likes strong, opinionated, aggressive, females who know exactly what they want, how they want it, when they want it, and they’ll f*cking tell you about. I can guarantee all of these women are down for Bruce going down on them and i can double-guarantee if he doesn’t, they ain’t sticking around. Batman eats the pussy with skill and aplomb. He has to. The women he likes will demand it and a motherf*cker can’t possibly be selfish in the sack if all these chicks keep coming back for more. That sh*t just don’t make sense.
On a related note, Zack Snyder paid for a commission of Batman going down on Catwoman and posted it on his Twatter because of course he did. This f*cking guy.

Guess who re-listened to the entire ZSJL (all 4 hours)
Me. The answer is me.
Thoughts while listening to ZSJL the second time:
Intro/Part 1: “Should be called “The Amazons””
1. Philippus got the first line of ZSJL (“Alert the Queen!”), unless you count Clark going “URRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH” fifty times, or the Amazons going “OOH-AHH! when the motherbox first goes off.
2. Bruce “Vain” trolololol you probably think this movie’s about you, don’t you, don’t you
3. I wish they did more with Lois in this movie. I was pretty happy with what they gave to Iris and Elinore and the Amazons, but Lois did seem pretty stuck in her “mourning for Superman” mode. Which, okay. But also, ehh.
4. Also I only know Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds from that one Harry Potter scene.
5. Has anyone actually counted how many times the Ancient Lamentation Music™ shows up.
6. Why does Wondy’s theme have a cooler synth in this movie than in her movie that’s literally set in the 80s.
7. Have I ever mentioned how much I love Hippolyta? I should mention it more often. She deserves good things (better things than this damn universe seems to want her to have :P).
8. I love that Menalippe is the one calling the Amazons back to their marks. That’d be Antiope’s job if she were here :(
9. Damn even the Amazons get a cool synth theme.
10. But it really is interesting that Junkie XL went with a synth instead of just a straight-up orchestral sound, or even the more tribal sound he seemed to be going for in other parts.
11. I appreciate that the Amazon fighting sounds aren’t like… you know. How most female fighting sounds are in media.
Part 2: “Artemis needs her own movie”
12. I don’t like Steppenwolf’s voice
13. God I’m so glad they got rid of all the Joss lines :P
14. You’d think after 100 years in Man’s World, Diana would have some better excuses up her sleeve e.g. “I sat inside reading a book all weekend” or “I watched a vintage TV show” like God, Diana. Do better.
15. Every time they say “quarantine” in this movie I feel things I’m not supposed to feel.
16. I still don’t get the Aquaman song when he’s taking off his shirt. It just… is a weird fit.
17. I’m glad we got an Aquaman movie before this. It… would’ve been confusing without it. Like, who’s this random long-haired dude.
18. “Dessad, Dessad, I call to thee” is how I start Zoom calls now.
19. I really like Dessad’s voice. It just… it’s nasally enough to be, oh so it’s this character. You just know who he is from the moment he speaks.
20. I dislike WonderBat very strongly but like. Ehh. I get that people like it, and it’s more canon-supported than any of my ships, that’s for sure.
21. I kind of wish we’d gotten the scene where the Amazon turns into a parademon. Or whoever it was.
22. Just listening to the movie makes me realize how grunty Darkseid is. I wish he had some language (maybe he is speaking Apokoliptian? And I’m just uneducated?).
Part 3: “Ray Fisher needs to do audiobooks”
23. I think Barry/Iris’ song is the first one I felt like the pop song really worked with the scene.
24. The football scene was the first part in the movie where I was like, okay the soundtrack is pretty good. It’s not as strong or memorable as Hans Zimmer’s on the last two Snyder DC films, but it does a reasonably good job supporting the film.
25. Ray Fisher has such a beautiful voice.
26. The whole Cyborg sequence is one of my favorite things ever. 2nd or 3rd favorite scene after the Speedforce.
27. I don’t have a lot of patience for Barry, in general. He’s less awkward than in the Josstice League, but he’s still on thin ice.
28. I feel like Arthur’s background scenes are the weakest overall. It might be because we got an entire Aquaman movie, but I also feel like I would’ve been really confused if I hadn’t seen that movie first.
Part 4: “Exposition and stuff”
29. There’s really not a lot of dialogue in this movie. Like. A LOT of things are just visual storytelling. It makes just listening to the movie interesting.
30. Okay, but did anyone else think that Martha Kent had a stronger Southern accent in her scene with Lois? Like, I know it’s someone trying to do his best impression of a Kansas farmer, but... like, sometimes in the past movies she’ll have a slight Midwestern twang, but it’s never quite Southern, and it’s throwing me off.
30. I… get that Superman is like the big deal but it really doesn’t make sense to me that the Apokoliptians never came back in the 5000ish years that Superman WASN’T active. I mean he was only Supermanning for what, less than two years? You literally have a 5000 year-old warrior on your team, I wonder how we can utilize that time frame in a way that make more sense... :P
Part 5: “But what if I don’t care about Superman”
31. I just feel like the part where they’re bringing Superman back is the most boring part lol
32. I also don’t like that Lois JUST gets back on her feet and then… Clark shows up again surprise motherfucker
33. I’m curious what the point was of Aquaman pushing against waking up the Motherbox and Bruce pushing back. Like. Does anything come from that.
34. Okay. This is 1.5 years of writing the Goddess of Death talking, but I kind of strongly dislike that they brought Clark back like this instead of doing the honorable thing and actually going to the Underworld to beg for him back. Like. The JL honestly deserved to get their assess kicked for trying to cheat Death like that. Also it would’ve been cathartic for Arthur’s “no one getting back without trading one in return” line to come into fruition with Bruce dying and then Clark getting his memories back immediately afterward when Lois appeared. Take that Batman
35. Batman, you dumb fuck, the safeword isn’t “Clark” or “This world needs you” it’s “SAVE MARTHA”
36. I’m bored.
Part 6: “The Flash scene”
37. Honestly, am I the only one who doesn’t care about Superman? He’s a side character in this movie. Give me more Cyborg scenes. He just lost his father for God’s sake. Why didn’t we get the scene of Victor figuring out how to get the plane to fly?
38. Although, I have to say when Supes shows up it’s a fun fight. Did he have to punch Steppenwolf so many times tho. It’s fucking brutal.
39. I have no complaints about anything. Forget everything I ever said. This Flash scene. God.
40. Oh good, Cyborg is back. Let’s stay with this guy for a bit. He’s neat.
41. I love that Arthur and Diana both got their dues for Steppy attacking/tormenting their respective peoples.
42. A Hall of Justice/recap scene would’ve been nice. Like we didn’t actually get to see all six of the League just sitting together (eating pie at Ma Kent’s diner) and celebrating.
43. I’m so glad the outro is Silas instead of Lois. It just feels right.
44. I actually prefer Henry Allen’s “Look at you go” line to the “His foot’s in the door” bit. Don’t tell anyone I said that
45. HI DUSTY
46. Man… I hope they don’t kill Hippolyta in a future movie (says me who’s killed Hippolyta in most of my own DC universes)
47. Why does the fake Luthor have such a Joker-esque laugh.
48. I don’t actually care about the Joker. Maybe if I did, then I would care about this scene.
49. Well that was fun.
ALM* final count: 19 appearances
*Ancient Lamentation Music
#ZSJL#gotta watch it a few more times before it leaves HBO Max#this is kind of crack#I actually might've missed one or two ALM counts because I was working at the same time#but still#And I really do like this movie a lot! I'm just having some fun with it#:P

Yeah I don't like brutalia either primarily because talia is out of his league no pun intended (and ahem she's my wife piss off bruce lol) i love that the impact of thier story is Damian!!!hahaaa
I dont ship babs with anyone really I wouldn't mind DinahBabs but I'm not fussed I just don't like her with bruce or any of his kids, they squished her into a relationship with dick and then in animated movie she was with bruce 😨 and I'm not sure if her and jason ever actually got together but he left her a note confessing his love which she never read so? Also Jay kid going after his big bros ex 😅
I dont really like WonderBat for no reason other than it feels so freakin weird to look at like my brain refuses to process it
I'd die for supes/lois harlivy and alfred/tea 😊 I like that you sent spideypool to superhell hahaa
Dickkory is supreme imo they should get married and let live in peace with thier chaotic super kids
Platonic stucky & SuperBat the brotp feels!!!! Just choosing someone and being like that idiot right there is my brother my family and I'd die for them is just ahhhh you're right platonic ships are the best ❤ohh whose your fav ships/otps ? I mean Lee and Ed yeah? I love ed he's such a poor disaster honestly bless him
💖🌼💖🌼💖
LMAO at Talia being out of his league, the pun fits way too much tho 🤣👏🏻"piss off bruce" lmfaoo, get it!😂 I just dont like that some versions have dub con with her and Bruce, puts a yucky taste in my mouth and kinda tainted the whole ship for me tbh. I like versions of her where she isnt like evil lol. Honestly I dont really ship Bruce with anyone, I like the Ace!Bruce headcanon tbh! But lmao yeah that's exactly where I was going going the impact of the ship being damian ahahaha
Yeah I feel like I just dont know Babs well enough (well in canon, I feel like I know Fanon her way more xD she never seems to be in the stuff I watch and read too much) to go full out shipping her with someone, I dont oppose to DickBabs tho and love a good childhood friend to lovers trope, I just havent seen them in canon much. And yeah never actually heard of DinahBabs, again I'm not opposed to it but I honestly dont know Dinah well enough to ship her with anyone other than canon tbh. Wait which animated movie with babs with bruce?! I for some reason dont remember that?! I know she was Jim's wife in Gotham by Gaslight (hate that but like the movie, especially the street rat Robin's all together omg). But like I can actually see her and Jason a bit, I need to look into that more. Omg he did? Which comics???he is so dramatic tho, he freaking would leave a damn love letter 🤣that's so jason tho to go after his brother's ex too😂👏🏻
Omg SAME ABOUT WONDERBAT, omg, like that's my EXACT feelings towards it! For some weird reason it makes me brain go Huh? But I cant pinpoint why! I mean, she also is too good for him/out of his league lmao
So confession, I've never liked Supes that much at all and only recently started to come around after diving so deep into the Bat and titans world xD So I dont have a huge connection/seen Supes/Lois in much but I do think they are very cute, I just need to watch and read more of them! And Harlivy is iconic man. And are you even a batfan if you dont love Alfred and tea?! Gosh I would die for alfred tbh, he is too freaking pure for this world. That bats would be NOWHERE without alfred man
Lmao about me sending spideypool to superhell 🤣 like listen, there arent too many pop ships I would send there but they are one of them man xD On top of the fact I think of Peter as a high schooler and Wade way older, not to mention wade would corrupt that poor child, the whole ship just gives off Cursed vibes to me man🤣🤣🤣
Bro I need to read more of Dickkory cause while I dont like oppose, i just feel pretty neutral! What makes them supreme to you? Win me over Batanon!! Like I wanna go hard for it but again I guess I just havent read enough of them?(tho again, I LOVE the IG Teen Titans version of the ship!)
Dude YES to platonic stucky and sueprbats!!!! I rarely see them get platonic love in the fandoms!(tho platonic superbats gets more than platonic stucky it seems). But YES! Amen to what you said! I also am an only child so I kinda love any found family sibling vibes, especially bros.
Lmao you know me so well, def Nygmakins (Lee x Ed) is like my otp(he truly is a mess and needs her to stay in line man, Oswald is too much of a mess as well xD ) and I love how she is helping him fight his inner demons type trope and they are both like morally grey at that point in time and the chemistry and ah!
But also, Bbrae (Beast Boy x Raven (in all forms), DamiRae(Damian x Raven(especially in Justice Leauge Dark Apokalypse war), YJ Artemis x Wally (cant think of the ship name at the moment ), and most recently Jaytemis(Jason x Artemis, dif Artemis, this one is an Amazonian Bi queeeen )
#i love you batanon#batanon#dc#batman#ships#meredith thoughts#meredith gets an ask#dc ships#ask#asks

The Annual Shipping Polls
Fandom: Batman/DC Pairings: Dick/Tim, Bruce/Diana, Roy/Kory/Jason, Stephaine/Cassandra, mentions of fandom Kon/Tim, fandom SuperBats Summary: Dick is brooding, Jason is amused, Tim is confused, Damian is annoyed, Stephanie and Babs want to knock some heads, and Cass and Diana are all-knowing. Author notes: This is my first time writing Dick/Tim and I owe a huge thank you to @iphoenixrising who’s amazing Tim stories got me longing to write my own Tim stories.
Like many things Jason will claim that it was all Roy’s fault he discovered it first and after laughing for several moments sought out Jason.
It was the annual shippers poll that happened once a year where fans of superheroes would vote for their favorite ship as they went head to head to see who would win. There was favorite slash, female slash, het, poly and superheroes, and their villains.
When it was first discovered an amused Lois sent the links to Clark.
Diana had been amused.
Bruce grunted and glared.
Clark feared just a little for his life.
SuperBats had won favorite slash pairing while WonderBat had won for favorite het pairing and The Trinity had won for favorite poly pairing.
It stayed like that for many years until other heroes started appearing Wally and Dick to their amusement learned that they were a much loved BirdFlash and one of the few that could give SuperBats a run for their money but sadly always came a little short of beating them. Nightwing/Starfire was a much-loved pairing and one year managed to defeat WonderBat only for the WonderBat fans to come back next year and claim their crown.
To Barry Allen's shock and Leonard Snart amusement, ColdFlash was undefeatable as the fans' favorite hero/villain pairing. No one was really surprised when those two actually did end up together.
Roy had been checking to see where the Outlaws ranked and was pleased to see that they had won favorite poly pairing. "Finally, good to see that people have some good taste."
Continuing on Roy fought back the laughter when he saw that Nightwing/Red Hood had made it pretty far. "Oh, this is priceless." Roy printed out he wondered how long it would last before Jason used it for target practice.
Moving up the list Roy was waiting to see that once again SuperBats was named as the top slash pairing only to stop and stare. "No way."
But it was there SuperBats was in second place.
"JASON! SOMEONE BEAT SUPERBATS!" Roy shouted with glee.
Jason was at Roy's side in a second all but shoving him out of the way he was a little bummed to see that Bruce and the boy scout were no longer number one, he loved using it to annoy Bruce. Jason loved the little twitch Bruce developed when Jason brought it up. "Who beat them?" Jason growled out. "It better not be me and Dickie!" Jason could do so much better than Dick. 'So could replacement but for some reason, he is hooked on him.'
Roy's body hummed with amusement, "A new version of SuperBats."
For several moments Jason could only stare at the computer screen as he processed what he had just read. “Oh, this is just too good.” Forget teasing Bruce this was glorious.
+*****+
Diana Prince -Wayne wasn't at all surprised when Jason breezed into the cave a mischievous look on his face. She knew that she shouldn't play favorites and she did her best not to but Jason out of all of Bruce's partners had a special place in her heart. "I take it that you have seen the outcome of the latest results of the annual polls?" She knew that Jason loved to tease Bruce about the fact that people loved the Batman with Superman he had even gone as far one year to cover the cave in fanfics and fanart of the couple and even got Babs to have the bat computer play Superman's theme for every little thing.
A small smile appeared on Jason's face she was one the few people that he genuinely liked to see. Personally, Jason thought Diana could do better she is fucking Wonder Woman after all! But for some reason that Jason couldn't understand she had fallen in love with Bruce. 'Bruce is one lucky son of a bitch.' "I did indeed but I am going to wait until everyone is here to tell the wonderful news."
"Just go easy on Dick, he is still in denial." Diana already knew she was curious about the outcome of these polls and she knew what had Jason so happy.
Jason knew that Diana had a point, he wasn't blind he saw the glances Dick tossed Tim’s way when he thought no one was looking, the longing and desire to fix things. Jason knew that Dick’s feelings for Tim were far from brotherly but he wouldn't act on them. Dick still carried guilt when he made Tim think that he wasn't wanted anymore when he took Robin from him and gave it to Damian, Tim was just starting to come back to realize that they did want him and Dick wouldn't risk Tim running away again.
"Alright, I won't tease Dickie too much," Jason promised.
"That is all I ask of you." Diana smiled serenely at him before pulling out a copy of a much loved Jane Austen novel, "Something to keep you entertained until the others get here."
Taking the novel Jason pressed a kiss on Diana's cheek, "And this is why you are my favorite."
+*****+
Dick Grayson stepped one foot in the cave and saw that Jason was already there, the grin on his face promising a good time for Jason and humiliation for anyone but him. Dick knew what day it was today but he never cared much about it, unlike Jason who loved it, mostly because he loved to tease those who won.
Jason grinned at the look of dread on Dick and Tim's face, the grin that grew as Bruce looked even more gloomy than normal.
Stephanie's hand in hand with Cassandra entered the cave with a bounce and a wide smile on her face, "Guess who won favorite female couple?" She beamed at Cass who returned it with a small smile.
Tim smiled at them, he was happy his favorite sister and Stephanie had found happiness with each other. "Like there was any doubt."
Stephanie preened, "It just shows that people have good taste."
Tim did not like the look on her face, it matched the one Jason was wearing.
“It would seem that after many years ranking at the top SuperBats has been at last defeated!” Jason announced.
Bruce grunted he didn't understand why people shipped him and Clark together but he was curious as to who finally dethroned them. ‘Maybe this will finally stop Hal and Barry from sending me SuperBats fanfiction and artworks.’
An unholy gleam appeared in Jason's eyes, the look that he aimed at Dick and then Tim before pulling up the article on his phone, “Yes folks, it has finally happened the long regaining SuperBats has been defeated by another that has been gaining on them for years. Congratulations Superboy and Red Robin.”
“WHAT?!”
Dick’s enraged bellow sent bats flying as Tim could only stare at Jason.
"Kon and me?" Tim could understand why people shipped them, best friends to lovers was a very popular trope but he didn't think that he and Kon had that big of a following. He felt kinda flattered even if he never thought of Kon like that. No his heart belonged to only one person.
An annoyed look appeared on Damian's face, he didn't understand why Todd and Brown made such a big deal about these foolish polls. "Ridiculous, if anyone should have defeated father it should have been Grayson and Drake they have been pining over one another for years it is sickening."
Dick and Tim both paled, both had been so sure that they hid their feelings for each other so well that no one else in the family knew, let alone their crush.
"Silly." Cassandra moved away from Stephanie coming to stand between Dick and Tim she took their hands in hers. "Love each other. Stop denying it."
“I couldn't have said it better. Everyone is tired of the two of you pining for one another." Babs voice echoed around the cave, no one was surprised that she hacked the comm system.
Rising gracefully to her feet Diana took Bruce's hand in hers. "I think that we should give them a few moments alone."
Never one to deny his princess Bruce led Diana from the cave. 'At least now I don't have to put up with Jason decorating my cave with all that artwork of Clark and I.'
Dick and Tim avoided looking at one another as the cave emptied as their family left them alone.
"Do I need to worry about you going after Kon with a chunk of kryptonite?" Tim found himself asking the last thing he wanted was for Kon to be in danger.
'Now that is an idea.' Dick was tempted, oh was he ever tempted to take some and hunt down Kon and ask him what his intentions were towards Tim. 'No Tim would be mad at me.' Dick forgot the idea right away.
Dick looked at Tim and was once again blown away at how beautiful Tim was. "All I want for you is to be happy and if that is with Kon then so be it."
"Kon and I are friends, best friends but just friends." Tim wanted to say, 'How can I be in love with Kon when I am in love with you?'
"You're in love with me?"
Tim's eyes widened in horror as he realized he had just said that out loud. Slapping his hands over his mouth Tim took a step back.
Only Dick followed his moves smooth and seductive until he had Tim pinned between him and a workbench. "Answer me baby bird. Are you in love with me?"
Tim was tempted he could nerve strike Dick and high tailed it out of the cave but he knows that Dick will just follow him. "I have been for so long. Before I even knew what love was."
Reaching out a hand Dick cupped Tim's face and nudged his head up to look him in the eyes, "I love you too, pretty bird. I didn't say anything because I didn't want to push you away not when you have just returned to us." Dick explained.
Tim was sure that his heart was pounding so loudly that Dick could hear it. "Kiss me?" Tim pleaded softly.
Dick's face lit up in a smile, "Nothing would make me happier, pretty bird." Dick had dreamed of his moment for so long and nothing he had imagined was like the real thing. Tim fit perfectly against him like Tim was made just for him.
+*****+
Jason grinned as he heard Bruce mutter about "slideshows" and "protection" this turned out even better than he thought and if Dickie got one his nervous he had tons of Baby Bird and Superboy artwork saved away for revenge.

Hey could you write a WonderWoman and Batman story from DCEU (DC Extendid Universe) pls thank you so much (only if you have a chance)
Oof, it’s been a little while since I’ve seen some of these movies but I like the DCEU a lot, so yeah, sure! Here’s some EU Wonderbat thoughts for you:
Bruce and Diana are alike in that they turn into completely different people when there’s danger to fend off. When the masks are on and weapons to hand, when there are hard decisions to make and no time to do anything but act. You could spend hours and hours with either one of them on the battlefield, making plans and protecting the Earth, and all that. But until you spend time with them in times of peace, you won’t know them. Not really.
And after Steppenwolf is defeated, that’s what happens. Peace. A time of reintroductions, where Bruce and Diana start to see each other for who they really are.
Bruce gets the chance to ask Diana all his questions about Themyscira, about all the history she’s been a part of, about all the world’s magic that he’s still struggling to comprehend. It’s such a weight off Diana’s shoulders to be able to talk about all that stuff with someone else for once, someone who believes her. And she asks him questions, too- Gotham is a strange place to her. Even after all this time, she feels she doesn’t truly understand humanity, and certainly not the kind of humanity that thrives in Gotham.
But Bruce does. He moves like he’s a part of the city himself. If you asked, she honestly wouldn’t be able to tell you if he does more good as Batman or Bruce Wayne. Despite what he sounds like, he acts selflessly and wisely in (almost) everything he does. Something she tries to emulate as she settles back into her role as Wonder Woman.
She hangs on to her secret identity, too, of course. It’s convenient to be able to just be Diana sometimes. When she has to buy groceries, when she goes out in public to observe the people.
When Bruce Wayne can’t think of a good enough reason to not go to that fancy gala he was invited to and needs a plus-one.
It’s just convenient, you know? He doesn’t have to worry about putting up an act for her, she already knows everything about him. And besides, he enjoys her company so much more than any of the other airheaded, pretty-faced girls that billionaire bachelors are expected to socialize with.
And you know what else is convenient? That there are, like, a dozen or so empty bedrooms in Wayne Manor. If the party happens to run late (and the stupid things always run late), she can just...gooooo home with him, stay the night and leave in the morning. He can treat her to a nice breakfast in the morning as thanks for going to the party with him.
Huh. Convenient.
The road to the two of them actually realizing that they might be developing romantic feelings for each other, let alone acting on those feelings, is a long one. A long road, frequently interrupted by various world-threatening perils. Throughout all of it, Clark and Barry and Arthur and Victor and even Alfred are just kind of standing on the sidelines, taking bets on who’s going to confess first.
(It’s Diana. Diana confesses first. Barry owes Arthur fifty dollars.)

Day 8: The Morning After
Once upon a time, there was an event called "Steps to the Altar" and although young Sault had taken part in this event, she soon fell behind in her work, leaving this last chapter unfinished, forgotten in drafts hidden in the depths of her computer. But then, one day, from the recesses of her mind, came inspiration to finish this, giving a sexy ending any WonderBat fan would love. So it is with great honor that I share this ending.
Haha, sorry y'all. I promised a Morning After, and now, after months, I have delivered! I hope you like, and I hope you enjoyed this event when it went on.
January 2. Gotham Heights. 08:13.
Diana
I am a married woman. I am now someone's wife. The thought forces my lips into a smile as I shift in bed, my arms reaching to stretch over the empty mattress my husband was laying in minutes earlier. A yawn escapes my lips as I continue to stretch, trying to ready myself for the day of travel ahead. I would normally make sure to get a good night's sleep before a long flight, but Bruce and I stayed up long into the night, consummating our relationship as a married couple over and over again. The man is insatiable, not that I mind. I love the fact that Bruce can never seem to get enough of me. It drives me wild and he knows this. However, as I stare at our packed suitcases parked right by the door, I wish I could just burrow into the blankets and get a few more hours of sleep, get myself well rested so I can thoroughly enjoy every second of my honeymoon.
"You're up."
I stop mid stretch and turn to face the bathroom, where Bruce stands, leaning against the doorway in nothing but a towel that hangs low on his hips. He is teasing me, trying to get me to take the bait, and as tempting as it is, I would like to be on the plane before noon.
"No," I whisper, "you're seeing things." I turn over and pull the blanket up and over my shoulder. "I'm asleep."
Bruce chuckles. "Well if you're asleep, I suppose I can crawl back into bed with you and recuperate from last night."
I glance over my shoulder and watch as he makes his way to the bed, one of his hands clutching the loose knot on the towel, making sure to keep it secure as he walks. He takes a seat on the edge of the bed and bends down, placing his face inches from my own as he stares at me silently. "I love you," he says after a moment, leaning in to kiss the tip of my nose.
I flash him a smile and say, "I love you too," before I pull the blanket from my body. There is a look of disappointment on his face when he glances down, saddened to see that I am no longer nude under the covers. "It was cold and I had to get up to pee," I explain, gently tugging on his white undershirt that now covers my breasts and stomach, skimming my thighs as I remain curled in the bed.
"You look wonderful in my clothing," he whispers with a smirk. He places his hand high on my thigh and I let out a gasp at how cold his fingers are despite his scolding shower. He places a kiss on my neck and I don't need to see his face to know he is showing that smug grin he loves to wear, and whispers, "But you look much better without anything on."
I give him a small chuckle, trying to distract my husband from noticing just how much that one kiss can make the need for him to skyrocket. His fingers graze higher on my thigh and I have to bite my lip to keep the moan that threatens to rip from my lips, silent. He moves his hand, letting it disappear under the shirt, smiling as his fingers graze the side of my breast. "We need to get going if we want to make it before dark," I whisper, trying to focus on the words I am speaking rather than how Bruce's fingers are making me feel.
Bruce nods once and moves his wrist, letting the shirt ride up high onto my stomach, exposing more skin for him to tease. "The plane will wait," he says as he drops a kiss to the newly exposed skin on my abdomen. "But right now, I need to have sex with my gorgeous wife."
He catches my lips in a sweet kiss, soft and tender, as his hands continue to move up my body, playfully pulling the shift up and over my body, breaking the kiss momentarily allowing him to pull the shirt over my head and discard it onto the floor beside the bed. "You didn't get enough last night?" I ask with a smug smile.
Bruce shakes his head. "I will never be able to get enough," he says. Once again he captures my lips with his own, only this kiss is different. It is more feverish, more heated. We soon lose ourselves, soon becoming a mix of heated kisses and heavy touches that ignite a passion within our bodies neither of us can put into words.
His hand runs down my side, his fingers delicately dancing along my skin as his lips push harder against mine. I part my lips, letting a small gasp out when his finger caresses the small dip near my hip, which only ignites Bruce more. He removes his lips from mine, a smile on his face as he lowers his head and places a kiss on my collarbone, moving toward my throat. "You're beautiful," he whispers as he dips his head even lower and places another kiss on the side of my left breast.
His hands continue their journey along my body, stopping at my thighs to give a gentle squeeze, which elicits another small gasp. He parts my thighs, his hands grasping my knees, a wicked smirk on his face as his eyes meet mine. "I love you," he whispers, as he leans forward and captures my lips with his once more.
"I love you too," I respond in between kisses. My fingers begin a journey of their own, trailing down his chest, down to his hips, settling on the loose knot of the towel he wears. I quickly pull on the knot, letting it become undone, before I pull the towel from Bruce's body leaving him as bare as I am. My hands continue their exploration of Bruce's body, stopping only when I grasp him firmly in my hand.
Bruce lets out a small gasp when he feels my hand wrapped around him. He releases one of my knees and runs a finger along my core, biting my lip when he feels just how ready I am for him.
Bruce places a hand firmly on the bed near my head, balancing himself as he pushes into my body, holding back the groan I know threatens to spill from his lips. He leans down to kiss me, letting our lips meld together as our bodies become one. His hips begin a rhythm that soon has me gasping for both breath and his skin, pulling him closer, letting his bare chest collide against mine. My hands wander over his back, gently running over the scarred skin that has endured years of self-abuse. His hand finds my thigh and when I tilt my hips in one swift movement, his fingers dig into the skin as he lets out a gasp.
"You do that again and I won't be able to help myself," he says through gritted teeth, warning me of his impending climax.
I give him a grin and roll my hips once more, daring him to do what he has threatened. This does the trick, as he grabs my hips and pulls me closer, burying himself in me even further, eliciting a sound from my lips no one but Bruce has ever been able to coax out. He smirks when he hears me call his name, knowing his name will be the only name I will say like this, as his hips begin to quicken their movements.
Without warning my body tightens around Bruce. He continues his movements, watching as I hit that delicious peak and enjoy the climb down, before he buries his head into the crook of my shoulder, biting down as he enjoys his own orgasm.
When he is finished he hovers over me, looking into my eyes, trying to remain as motionless as possible. Our breathing is labored and although we've both accomplished our goal, neither of us move or make any attempt to separate.
"I love you," he whispers once again, the third time this morning, bending down to give me a sweet kiss before he finally separates our bodies, much to my dismay. "I think I need another shower," he jokes as he lays on the bed beside me, our sweat clad bodies still basking in the after glow of sex.
"I need one first," I say. He turns onto his side and reaches over, letting his finger dance on my bottom lip, before he taps the tip of my nose.
"I suppose I can let you take all the hot water," he says, letting out an overexaggerated sigh.
"Remind me next time to marry someone who can afford more hot water," I joke. Bruce feigns hurt, before he lets out a chuckle, and I sit up, letting out a content sigh. "But we do need to hurry," I say. "Your pilot is going to wonder where we are."
Bruce shrugs. "That's the beauty of owning your own private jet," he says, a bit of arrogance in his voice, "you get to make up the schedule." He looks up at me and takes notice of my deadpanned face. "I'm joking," he says, raising his hands in defense. "We'll get going soon, I promise. That way I can spend our whole honeymoon trying to get my beautiful wife pregnant." He winks and flashes me a smirk as he rises from the bed, getting a towel from the cabinet by the bathroom door.
My gaze follows him, stopping as my eyes catch my reflection in the mirror. My hair is disheveled, there is sweat on my brow, and my cheeks are flushed, but I don't know if it's from the sex or what Bruce has said. The two of us have casually talked about starting a family, but never enough to fully gage Bruce's timeline. I had always assumed he had wanted children eventually, maybe a few years from now, but his comment about wanting to try for a baby now takes me back. Not that I would mind.
"So soon?" I ask.
Bruce nods, a large grin on his face. "I've been thinking about it a lot," he says. He hands me the towel and takes a seat on the edge of the bed. "I know we just got married, but a family with you, that's what I want. And don't think I haven't seen the way you stare at babies. You my dear wife, have a case of baby fever."
I cross my arms over my chest and furrow my eyebrows. "I have no idea what you mean," I say, willing my voice not to give away anything.
Bruce places a hand on his chin and pretends to think. "Okay," he says. He snatches his phone from the night stand and flips through a few photos, flashing his screen at me as he shows me the picture of me holding Charlie's baby last night, a wide smile on my face as I held the infant close. "I see the way you are with kids, and I know you've always wanted to be a mother. I just want you to know, I want them too. And whether that's now, or in a few years, I'll wait as long as you need-"
I lean in and kiss Bruce, not needing to hear anything more. This man is literally a dream come true and I can't believe I was too stupid to see it years ago. "This," I say, pulling away from him. "This is what I want."
Bruce nods, understanding what I mean, no matter how vague I am. He leans in and gives me another kiss, slowly moving the hair from my face. I stand from the bed and make my way into the bathroom, jumping into the shower, knowing that whatever we decide, it'll all be worth it.

My Soul is Yours (Wonderbat Drabble)
They get married whilst the sun is setting in the sky on a warm summer evening, if married is the word to describe what this day is to them.
Bruce often thinks back to the moment he presented Diana with a ring, feeling both nervous and more than a little foolish as he dropped down onto one knee before a literal Goddess, a woman who’d been in this world long before Bruce Wayne and who would no doubt be there long after him.
Still, Bruce has never been more selfish than he is with her and he wants this. A scary notion that takes him months to even admit to himself. He wants her, in whatever ways he can, in whatever ways she’ll allow him.
When Diana agrees, he’s never felt lighter or fuller or happier and he already knows Alfred is somewhere in the mansion already uncorking the champagne. It’s a moment Bruce wants to live in forever though now he thinks this one might have it beat.
Diana doesn’t understand the concept of marriage because she’s too smart and has seen too much of humanity to understand why people would make such vows and promises they don’t intend to keep. Bruce thinks she almost sounds more like the Batman than he does but he tells her for them, it can mean whatever they want it to mean.
Diana wakes him up a few nights later with excited eyes and his ring sparkling on her finger in the dim light. She will marry him, she tells him, in a sense much older and more sacred than the sham convention marriage has become to everyone else. Bruce readily agrees to her plan.
They marry at the mansion, on the pier overlooking the lake that surrounds the property. It’s private and intimate and no press are allowed. Only their friends. Clark conducts the ceremony wearing his tux without the glasses and Alfred seems honoured when Diana asks him to walk her down the aisle. Bruce knows he loves her as family and he could recognise the rare look of pride on Alfred’s face when he smiles at him that it almost makes all those years of worry worth it.
Diana is a vision when she walks towards him, a bunch of wild daisies in one hand and more threaded into her hair, her dress is white and flowing and Bruce can’t help the emotion wash over him at seeing her. A Greek goddess made real before his eyes. Barry, Arthur and Victor are all there with them, Barry excitedly throwing rice into the air despite the fact it’s meant to be for afterwards.
Bruce takes Diana’s hands in his as soon as she passes off the flowers to Lois and finally he can breathe again. Diana is beaming at him and reaches one hand up to straighten his bowtie like she did when they first met.
“Are you ready?” Diana asks him softly.
Bruce gives her a signature smirk, “Born ready, Princess.”
He wasn’t, they both know. Bruce Wayne and marriage are as far apart as the Poles but that was before her.
They don’t give the traditional vow, neither one of them are religious (at least not to that God, in Diana’s case) but they managed to find ways to express themselves in a way they both like. A binding, as Diana described it, for body, mind and soul. Something deeper than marriage. A promise of a vow that is unbreakable.
Bruce likes that.
Clark wraps a piece of red cloth around their joined hands, tying them together both symbolically and literally before adding Diana’s lasso around their hands as well. It had been Bruce’s idea, to make their vows in the present of her Gods as well as their friends, it was important for her to feel connected to them. Especially today.
“Bruce, I share with you my mind, my body and my soul. That we may be joined together always in love and respect and passion. All that I am, I give to you. I am yours and my love for you is everlasting.” The words hit him in the chest as the lasso glows brightly at the truth of them.
“Diana, I share with you my mind, my body and my soul. That we may be joined together in love and respect and passion. All that I am, I give to you. I am yours and my love for you is everlasting.” He repeats the words they had chosen as an expression of their declaration and feels the lasso warm around his hand, a calmness and peace at his own words rushing over him.
Clark continues the ceremony and the world melts away. Diana is looking at him with such love and devotion and he has no idea how he managed to earn it but he’ll thank her Gods and his for the rest of his life.
“You can kiss your bride.” Clark tells him with a smile.
Bruce wastes no time in pulling Diana in, their hands still joined as he kisses her. It’s soft and passionate and he thinks he hears Arthur whistle at them but he doesn’t care because Diana has a hand in his hair and they’re married. They’re bonded. They’re together.

Title: dinner for two
A/N: For @boxofficequeen2416, for the WonderBat exchange held by @maidenoftheworld! I really like Diana teasing Bruce and wanted to delve into a budding romance
…
…
…
…
Over the course of her lifetime, Diana had seen many things. She’d learned of the world of man, fought monsters and aliens, travelled through parallel universes, and even seen the dead return to life. It was part and parcel of her duties while saving the world. By this point, she’d seen so many things, she thought it was impossible to get surprised anymore.
Apparently, the world was out to prove her wrong because apparently there was still one marvel she had yet to witness: Batman cooking.
Or more accurately, Bruce cooking. Sitting on a high stool next to the island in the kitchen, Diana watched in disbelief as Bruce quickly stirred the chicken on a frying pan, his wooden spatula flipping the pieces so they’d cook on the other side. There was something surreal about this whole thing and she wasn’t sure what was the strangest part. That Bruce was cooking, that Bruce was cooking for her, or that they were on a sorta-date. If only the tabloids could see them now. “You can cook.”
“Yes.” Bruce shot her a dirty look over his shoulder, his expression matching his usual Batman scowl. “Of course I can.”
Diana rolled her eyes. “Not quite what I expected from a billionaire, Bruce. Particularly since I thought Alfred handled these matters.”
“Alfred’s better than it than me.” Bruce shrugged, turning back to the stove. He opened a jar filled with red spice and tossed a spoon onto the chunks of meat. “But I did spend a lot of time travelling and world hopping. If I couldn’t fend for myself, I’d have died.”
“I thought that would be more of your ‘spam’ in a can or things like that,” Diana replied, resting her chin on her hand as she watched him. It was funny, she’d seen his back many times before now, but it looked different this time. Maybe it was the lack of pointy ears or the different lighting. It wasn’t often she saw him out of costume. “Something more practical than whatever it is you’re making.”
Bruce didn’t respond, ignoring her statement as he added more spices into the mix.
Noticing that he had stiffened slightly, Diana cocked her head. “Am I right?”
“…when you’re in the wilderness, taste isn’t a priority’,” Bruce admitted quietly. His ears were a bright red and Diana could only imagine his expression now. It was rare that he admitted that he was bad at something. “As Dick put it, most of my dishes are ‘either eat it or die’.”
“Is this one of those cases?” Diana peeked at the bowl on the table with her, filled to the brim with white rice. Another one beside it had a white sauce and yet another a red one. She wasn’t quite sure what to make of it all, not yet.
“No.” Bruce turned around, a bowl of salad in one hand, two plates in the other. He set them down on the table in front of her, avoiding her questioning gaze. “I’ve picked up a thing or two from Alfred over the years.”
Over the years or just now? Diana didn’t press the question, it was obvious. Bruce never learned something if he didn’t intend to use it. Maybe Dick could give her the details later—he always did like to talk and she had a feeling this story would be an amusing one. Instead, she took picked up her glass of wine, swirling it gently. It was some high-class vintage, she was sure. If there was one thing Bruce didn’t need Alfred’s help with, it was alcohol.
“Where is he, anyways?” She glanced around, half-expecting the familiar butler to appear over her shoulder, offering her a snack to tide her over or a sarcastic remark as he observed his master’s cooking. She had been in the Wayne manor for at least half an hour now and hadn’t seen hide nor hair of Alfred. Or anyone else, actually. An impossible feat, considering how many children Bruce had taken in. “Or your proteges?’
“They’re out.” Bruce felt her questioning stare even with his back turned and added, “Dick dragged them to the movies.”
“Even Damian?” Diana blinked, surprised. And impressed. “He found something for both Damian and Alfred to enjoy?”
“Not entirely.” Bruce gave a wry smile as he thought of his caustic son. “Cass is patrolling with Damian.”
“Ah.” That made more sense. It also certainly saved some movie-goer’s life.
Bruce opened a bottle of an unlabeled black sauce and drizzled it over the meat. A spicy, salt smell started to drift around the kitchen despite the fans Bruce had on. “Almost done.”
Diana sniffed. “Smells good.” She rested her chin on her hand, watching as Bruce bustled about the kitchen. Everything about him felt softer: his expression, his words, even his movements. While she had no doubt that he could spring immediately into a defensive crouch at the slightest provocation, for once she didn’t feel like he was waiting for it. “I didn’t think you prepare all this, to be honest.”
Bruce fell silent. The only sound was his wooden spatula, flipping the meat as it sizzled. Maybe she had gone too far? It was hard to tell with him just what lines he’d drawn in the sand. As he turned off the stove and started to dole out the food onto a platter, he quietly replied, “Me neither.”
Huh. Diana didn’t know what to say to that. Everything felt more intimate, more private. She watched as he finished setting the food in front of her, his gaze carefully avoiding hers. It seemed the real Bruce was shier than she thought.
Maybe this kinda-date was actually a full blown one, then.
As he sat beside her, his arm just millimetres from her own, she wondered just how long it would take to close that gap. Not very, if she had anything to say about it.

Daughter of Darkness
Summary: Leaving the island had been a backup plan...and a last resort. She didn’t want to leave home, but by Hera had their actions driven her to. She’d grown restless with their stares and whispers...no more. But little did she that leaving had set her on a path she could never have imagined.
It hadn't been a day, one damn day in Gotham and Anna could feel the foreboding chill in the summer air. She made quick work of her armor and donned her sword, laso, daggers and shield. She made her way to the roof of the hotel she was staying at and flew to where the Shades where guiding her.
“The souls are there mistresssss,” the main Shade said pointing to a shed in the docks.
Anna nodded and opened a portal with a swipe of her hand.
She heard laughing when she entered the, fairly large, shed. The laugh made her bones quiver in a way she had not felt in a long time. She ducked down behind some cargo boxes using the darkness to her will and keeping out fo sight. She saw a white faced man with green hair in a purple suit slowly pace in front of the two figures there were suspended in the air. They were both masked and caped. However the one that surprised her most was grey/black suit donned by the batman.
‘So this is the famous Batman,’ she thought as she got closer to the trio.
The man, the clown, was pointing a knife at was clearly unconscious, which did not give her a good feeling. Men like the clown, enjoyed a show. She had no doubt he was going to do something to them both. But from the looks of it the clown’s main focus is to torture the man dressed as a bat.
“And with the bat down I can play with the birdy!” A white faced man said his already wide smile getting eerily wider as he approached batman with a zapping taser.
“Stop!” the young man, Robin, cried as he valiantly struggled to get free from his chains.
The screams that filled the shed chilled her to her bones.
An injured, and clearly, exhausted batman panted as he came too.
“Good you’re awake,” the clown said in a high pitched tone, “Was afraid you’d miss the show.”
The clown put the taser down and picked up a crowbar.
“Too bad Harley couldn’t be here to join the fun,” he said with a sigh.
But before he could do anything, Anna threw one of her daggers at the hand holding the crowbar.
The clown screamed as the knife went through his palm causing him to drop the crowbar.
He went to take the dagger out when Anna said, “I wouldn’t do that if I were you.”
“And why ever not?” He asked
Anna’s eye twitched and with the flick of a finger an inky black tentacle wrapped around the knife and forcefully pulled it out tossing it in her direction.
“That’s why,” she said calmly as she caught the dagger.
She walked to the center of the dimly lit shed the darkness dancing like fog about her body as it licked her legs and arms. She saw the Shades circling, whom were they waiting for she didn’t know, she just had to make sure it wasn’t the two heroes doing a rather authentic impression of pigs for slaughter.
“So you’re the famous, or infamous, Joker?” Anna asked nonchalantly.
The Joker grinned widely and said, “What’s it to you sweetheart?”
He pulled out a gun and shot Robin point blank in the stomach.
“No!” Batman yelled and grunted as he struggled to get to his partner.
Joker then began firing at her
Anna easily dodged and deflected the bullets using her bracelets as she ran towards the Joker.
He in turn pulled out another gun and pointed it at Robin’s head..
“Come any closer sweetheart and I blow the boy wonder’s brains out,” he said cocking the gun as he moved to stand behind Robin.
Anna felt the Shades behind her hungry and hissing as they floated around the room.
Time seemed to slow as she made eye contact with the Batman trying to conveying that someone wasn’t going to leave here alive.
He nodded and closed his eyes.
“You can’t do it can you?” The Joker said cackling, “Can’t or won't kill just like the Bat!”
Anna growled at him, how dare this mortal! She pulled her dagger between her fingers ready to throw.
The Joker cackled again and said, “Girly can’t! Too good to kill are you!?”
Anna smirked at the Joker her eyes dark and predatory as she said, “You underestimate me for my sex. Typical man...You have one chance. Drop the gun and I’ll consider letting you live.”
The Joker cackled and pressed the gun harder against Robin’s temple.
“I don't think so, I’d much rather kill him than that,” he said and began to pull the trigger.
She swung her arm upward from where it lay at her sides, and with a twist of the wrist, the dagger went flying imbedding itself into the Joker’s skull.
Anna waisted no time and went to Robin, tore a piece of his cape of and added pressure to the wound.
She reached for the chain and pulled them apart with a firm tug.
Batman watching still in shock as this woman, the very same woman that had just killed the Joker, help his son down from where he hung.
“Is he alive?” He asked stiffly, then again after receiving no answer from the still occupied woman “IS HE ALIVE!?”
She heard his pain through the modulator and looked up after she’d managed to stop the bleeding.
“He’ll be alright for now,” she said rising from where she as kneeling over, a now unconscious, Robin, “The bleeding’s slowed and I’ve done my best to stop it until he receives proper medical attention.”
She turned to leave but was stopped by a hand to her upper arm.
She turned to the Batman a brow cocked, his grip on her arm tightened.
“Why did you do it?” He asked in barely contained anger.
“Most people say “thank you” and let things be,” Anna said pointedly, “If you’re asking about why I killed the Joker–”
“No one needed to die!” He yelled.
“What did you expect me to do!?” She yelled eyes glowing dangerously, “Incapacitate him while he held a gun to your partner’s head? Risk Robin getting killed?”
His grip tightened more around her arm and had to be at least a little impressed, this man whoever he is is stronger than the average mortal. He reminds her for a moment of the soldiers of old who’d seen and done things no other being had done. This one though, she could see that he’d seen too much possibly at too young an age.
“Let. Me. Go,” she said forcefully, punctuating each word, “The longer you try to convince yourself the Joker did not need to die, the less likely it is for the boy to live.”
She pulled her arm from his grip roughly and stepped into the shadows, “And in case you forgot, I gave the Joker an out. He didn’t take it and was about to bathe you in brain matter. If I hadn’t taken the shot, so to speak, when I could then a real tragedy would have occurred.”
Batman looked around the room trying to pin point where she was batarang in hand.
“Let me ask you this Batman,” she said evenly, “Was letting the Joker live more important than the life of your boy? I understand the need of such a rival, but when they prove too much to handle and end insight is what is needed.”
The fog of darkness lifted from the shed as she left, Bruce looked down at Robin and picked him up making quick work of getting him into the batmobile and rushing home.
//00//00//
Anna dropped into her room with a sigh.
“The boy shall live misstresssss,” a straggling shade said with a bow.
“Thank you, now let’s hope he doesn’t think it wise to hunt me,” she said as she took off her tiara and bracelets.
“He carries much within him,” it said curiously, “He has evaded ussss for years my lady.”
“The Batman?” She asked putting her weapons away. She saw the shade nod and gave a small half smile, “He is an interesting one I have to say, carries a darkness I’ve not seen in a man in centuries. I think times are going to get more interesting from here on out.”

“I must insist master Bruce,” Alfred said as he followed a limping Bruce to where Dick slept.
“She just...killed him Alfred,” he said as he sat on the chair next to Dick with a heavy sigh.
“Well, he was going to kill Master Dick, Sir,” Alfred said lightly.
“She gave him an out,” A hoarse voice said.
The pair looked to Dick both men breathing sigh of relief that is awake.
“She gave him an out...” Alfred said confused.
Dick nodded with a wince, “She told him to drop the gun and she’d let him live. But the Joker being the psycho that he is, was, he just said that the best course was to just kill me.”
Alfred had to lean agains the foot of the bed when he heard this.
Bruce had a thoughtful look on his face but he looked a bit lost if Alfred did say so himself. He knew this was going to be an adjustment for Master Bruce, he just hoped it lay to rest a few of his demons.
“I thought this would’ve had a grater effect on you Master Bruce,” he said instead of the former, “He had been a rather large part of Gotham’s criminal underground.”
“Oh it did,” Dick said laying back down, “He was beyond pissed, but I passed out from the blood loss before I could see or hear anything else.”
“She...made me chose in a way,” Bruce said quietly as he stared off avoiding any and all eye contact, “After killing the Joker, she asked me if letting him live was worth the risk of losing Dick...of losing my son.”

Rant about ur fav superhero ready go
Okay so like I have a lot of favorite superheroes loool but thank you so so much for this Alyssa I adore you I CRI
Before we start I believe it is my civic duty to inform you that when Animated BatmanTM (aka. superior batman) walks in the batsuit the cape falls around him and he just kinda shuffles across the floor and it’s the cutest thing my eyes ever done did seen
okay so Imma pick batman cuz i was recently reading a batman comic. I feel like sometimes batman gets flack and like yeah no one is perfect but a lot of times it’s because batman is written incorrectly. But thankfully whatever version of him I don’t like I get to write off lol because superhero canon is so weird.
I wanna do a full analysis of batman some time but I think what originally drew me to the character is that he’s like the emo dude dressed like a bat, something that I feel is normally reserved for villains? Like the darkness-coded character was the good guy. That was so cool to me. He’s an amazing detective, he is incredibly smart and resilient, and he helps people not just as Batman but also Bruce Wayne.
What sticks out to me about Bruce is that not only does he have his strict no-kill rule (COUGH COUGH BATMAN V SUPERMAN U GOT THAT WRONG) but he also is the type of guy that genuinely cares and will try to save even villains. And like not just save them from falling, like he will try to help them get back on their feet and stop following a life of crime.
He has like a huge heckin family because he adopted so many kids but not only is that adorable because he’s the orphan who lost his family who finds them a family but he also makes a new family for himself. He trains the robins and tries to be there for them so that they never feel the same way he did, which is kinda his whole mission.
Everyone makes jokes about his parents dying, but the thing is as an eight y.o. kid that would be extremely traumatizing, no wonder he’s so messed up. You see your parents gunned down for no reason, and then you’re all alone in the ally. Not knowing if the dude is gonna come after you next, and you cant do anything, the two people you’ve always believed would protect you from anything are dead, and you saw it happen.
Bruce runs away from home, from his past, from Gotham. He doesn’t want to be found. But he chooses to come back. Because he doesn’t want anyone to go through what he did- he fights for those scared lonely kids left on the street alone. Side note, I also love how sweet Bruce is to kids, like here’s this big hulking shadow of a man dressed like a BAT and he’ll kneel down and try to calm some poor kid down and distract them from what they’re going through, or write that he likes some kid’s drawings of him.
Also, Bruce is heckin dramatic . Like SO DRAMATIC I love it. He makes everything bat themed because he understands branding. He fights silently but then he will make these really dumb snarky jokes and I love him for it. Also he some how always gets the upper hand on other people, like he’s so freaking smart. Like he can genuinely freak people out and outsmarts em. And I love how he’ll appear out of nowhere and scare the crap out of people lol. Also, the dude just has PRESENCE. And if you hurt someone he’s comin for your butt.
He’s also really really bad at communicating and getting across his emotions, like he’d rather jump out a window than confess he cares about someone. Like. Which is bad cuz sometimes his kids need to hear that, but I also think that they kinda know. Bruce will literally go to the ends of the UNIVERSE for the people he cares about, and I honestly think he’s a really emotional guy he just has no clue how to express his emotions. Like he comes off super grumpy but idk. I think it’s kinda funny.
And like always, he’s always a hoe for self sacrifice. Like Bruce. Stop. I know you have a death wish. But maybe don’t be so gun-ho about it.
I just love the concept of Batman. Just this dude. Runnin’ round the city. Chasing baddies. Ordered coffee where you work last week at 2am. Gave you a crazy big tip. He has like 50 children, and a really sick car. Oh also there’s this Bruce Wayne dude that is a rich orphan who also has coincidentally 50 kids, and he’s like such a himbo but you love him and sometimes he really pulls out some sick burns???
I feel I’m missing so much but thank you for the ask, this was so much fun. Love you Alyssa <3
(included are. some short clips of why I love Bats. You will notice none of them are from the Dark Knight trilogy, and while I am grateful to those movies for getting me into batman, they do not do him justice. At all.)
Batman and Ace
(if you want them. just batman best moments on youtube itll pop up) (there’s literally so many)
ALSO THERES THIS ONE TIME THAT WONDER WOMAN TRIES TO SAVE THIS TOWN FROM LIKE A FALLING PILLAR OR SMTHN I DONT REMEMBER AND SHE LIKE GETS CRUSHED UNDER IT STOPPING IT AND BATS IS THE FIRST TO RUN OUT AND HES LIKE TRYING TO DIG AND PULL HER OUT like this dude is the weakest one of the justice league yet he’s always trying to help and somehow he always manages to keep up AND HES LIKE FRANTIC and Supes tells him they can’t get her out and he looks so freaking upset but then she lifts up the pillar thing and reveals herself to be okay and everyones so happy and she’s like :))))) “YOURE VILLAGE IS SAVED” and goes and stands by the other heroes. and . when she does. she looks down and sees Bats’ muddy gloves and smiles and he like quick hides them under his cape I just-
The Justice League animated show made me a WonderBat shipper okay and it’s never gonna go away
okay I’m finally done thank you for the ask ILY
