Good news: I am in fact doing that new synthesis by myself! :))) Worse news: my intensely green solution noped out of the beaker and splashed all over the hot plate and the counter under the fume hood 🫠

I went to my internship mentor to let him know what happened and ended the story with "because I'm an idiot" and he said, "You aren't an idiot, you're one experience richer".
