So u have ur lyf design right???? blue sparkly (has a tail!) and then??? the train gang. they look closer to humans then lyf does. and like!!!! i love their designs so very very much but i need to know if theres a reason!!!!! have a lovely day :]
its actually all just because i read a fic (which i will have to try & find so i can link it abdjfjf) that had the hc that Lyf was a Jotun/Jötunn (the ice giants from norse mythology) & i thought that was the most galaxy brained take of all time & immediately went nuts with my own take on what that would look like! (combined with another fic i read where Lyf has a tail, which is also *chefs kiss*)
so basically theyr just another species that lives in midgard!! I realized later that making Loki a Jötunn or half Jötunn too would have been absolutely perfect but id already mostly finished coloring her & i was too committed…

finished watching netflix atla! i think the hate is unjustified lol like all that hate seems a little too intense for what i think the show missed. it didn't hit all the same notes as the original show, yeah, so i'm not sure it quite succeeds as an adaptation, but as a standalone show it's pretty good. and i might have some gripes with the characterization, but there was love in the casting and in the costumes and the world, and that goes a long way for me.

#evenings and nights are always the worst for me#when i feel this lonely.... :(((#when you're alone the nights are the worst bc#u dont have anyone at all really.. and it gets so obvious at night#just .. the loneliness gets intensified#and i can compare bc#there was a period of time where i talked to someone everyday#and i looked forward to the nights and their messages and comforing goodnight messages#and so i know firsthand what big of a difference that makes#for years and years i've had these bad loneliness feelings tho.. so it's not smth new#but it gets harder and harder to deal with them. esp as the world outside is getting colder and crueler#and people only get more and more mean#plus when i do have smth wonderful that made me warm and happy and comforted that i dont have anymore#and can compare and know what im missing#it does get harder :c#i try to watch videos and think of other things but oh god this loneliness hurts so damn much i crumble underneath the weight of it#maybe life will get better dealing with it all if i have a stable income and an apartment with my pets#and go to work all day and come home too tired to feel lonely... idk?#im so scared i'll never find someone that i can be together with. bc i think im the kind of person who needs that#but im also so different and difficult and idk how and if it'll happen....#and how do i live with these heavy painful feelings of extreme loneliness ? idk :c#i try mindfulness too. and listening to music. and reading. and cuddling my pets#but im just a human. i want someone i love to hold me and fall asleep with them close to me.#i wanna lie in bed and talk to them abt anything bc between us it is a judgement free zone#despite what ppl say i am not weak for needing and wanting that. and being incredibly alone without it.#it's what i need and want but idk if i ever will and the thought of being stuck with this heavy loneliness all my life makes me wanna die#ok. peace out 😑✌️

#there's so many threads of thought in this movie which really feels more exploratory than i think most people's reactions to it give it#credit for. there's an urge to take everything it gives you at face value but the morality of the movie is murky and contradictory#which i think is the most valuable part of it far more valuable than the efforts it makes to pin down a Moral.#anyway im going to be thinking about tracy for a long time. i see her in myself i can't help it#there's a thread through it all. tracy's inability to accept her own and others' weakness. her inability to#trust anyone after her father let her down. the way she holds herself at a distance from the world#so she can't be loved only worshipped.#if you never believe in anyone then you can't be let down#if you keep people on trial all the time you can stop them from being human and scary or at least punish them for it#if you keep yourself on trial all the time maybe your father will love you or maybe it will stop mattering that he doesn't#at least you wont ever become him#mike remarks how strange it is that dext knows so little about her even though they were married. dext says#is it?#of the three men he's the only one who sees her defenses for what they are. i find his arc of resentment-to-acceptance to be refreshing#he's not the moral arbiter in the end just the guy who recognizes that she's a bit ridiculous#and loves her for it#the philadelphia story

me ranting to myself in my head about how yuuji is a good character
#see its. like#strength and power alone isn’t enough to save the people closest to you#even with gojo being the strongest or maki being ‘whole’ with losing all her cursed energy#they still couldn’t save the people around them#and yuuji doesn’t have the raw power at their levels#he sees himself as a cog in a machine killing curses. and gets treated like a tool#but he *is* a source of humanity in the series#especially for characters like choso and megumi#his influence and development and role in the story is so much further than an mc ‘needing’ a power up#idk im not a theorist or analysis writer at ALL#but he’s not some stagnant character being held back bc he’s weak#it IS that weakness combined with his strengths that make him so interesting#looking at his conversation from that kid who admired him just a chapter ago#I think he WILL get a power up but it’ll intertwine w the set up of his character and current mindset#which im ready to see play out#but yea I love him a normal amount#jjk spoilers#itadori yuuji#why do people suddenly think his role in the story is useless or meaningless#there’s more that can be done w him than him defeating enemies solely from an awakened cursed technique or power up#hes such a good person and I love how he’s already coming up with plans to save megumi#✌️in the tags bc i can’t write + im scared of confrontation when it seems like 90% of the fan base is annoyed w yuujis character development

#just watched s 2 ep 7 of the vampire show#and these are just some ramblings that hopefully will not offend fans of the show im just trying to articulate my thoughts to myself#i think it was a cool idea to turn their trial into one of the theatrical performances onstage#however im still annoyed at how the domestic violence episode happened and was apparently a real thing#like idk it just ruins the whole vibe in the book of how these characters were living together doing awful things to humans yet#somehow mostly carrying on in civilized peace and not ever directing that violence toward each other for decades on end#this choice messes up the characterizations and relationship dynamics too much for me somehow#also messes up the aesthetics that are a delicate balance between the savage and grotesque and polite and refined#it was important to me that lestat wasnt the one to first cross that line in the books and that claudia was#i feel like kinda the one thing that lestat had going for him in the first book as a standalone story#was that he didnt ever cross certain lines with louis and claudia that the show made him cross there?#he seemed to have a different inner set of rules when it came to what violence he would do to humans and what he would do to them#it's hard to even articulate what kind of shittiness is a dealbreaker in a character or a ship to me#especially when theyre constantly doing stuff like feeding on people to stay alive#but for some reason lestat and louis beating the shit out of each other is just such a nonsense ooc thing to make them do in my opinion#also claudia in the book was valid for what she did to lestat already i thought. i dont see why they had to change or add to the motives#she was turned into a vampire at age 5 and therefore almost purely a vampire in nature and also totally valid in not being happy about it#and in the books lestat made her a vampire on his own after louis fed on her and they did not discuss it beforehand#and he never mentioned rules about a child vampire being forbidden and louis did not beg him to do it. in fact one of the biggest reasons#that louis and claudia decide to turn on lestat is because theyre convinced hes just pretending to know more than he does about vampirism#and either has nothing to teach them or wont ever let them go so they can find out anything for real about their own kind#these changes in the show bother me too but i think im not that good at articulating why#i also feel like as much as book louis's weakness and passiveness and guilt can get frustrating and isn't always interesting to follow#in a way that's kinda one of his more saving graces and most defining traits as a vampire as well - so i dont always know how to feel#about them making his character more powerful and aggressive and involved in things in the show at times?#on one hand i often get frustrated at his moping and indecisiveness and inactivity in the books#and yet on the other hand i find i miss his quieter softer excruciatingly polite book personality when i am watching the show at times too#p#vmpcs

(powerful)#sitting on a bench together watching people (souls. meals.) walk by. talking about prisons. talking about justice. maybe. or revenge. same#thing. and amara is leaning against him coiled tight through every muscle in her body and so so hungry. and when she says she’s glad michael#is suffering she isn’t really talking about him. but when she says it. lucifer lets out a breath. and says. me too.#and then he goes to find her something(one) to eat.#u see my vision. u do.
