The Covey are a flashy people, performers to their very soul and the most lively bunch you’ve ever seen. With a love of bright colors and music, it’s hard for any of you to fly under the radar when compared to the rest of the citizens of District Twelve, the people who will never claim you as their own but are happy to dance to your songs and send your cousin to fight to the death.

You, however, aren’t built for the stage. Your voice is better suited to singing lullabies than it is to performing on stage, and even the thought of that many eyes on you makes you feel like you’re on the verge of throwing up. Still, you contribute where you can, helping your cousins write their songs and being a willing audience when they need to test out something new, and you still work, sewing new clothes and patching up the old.

Lucy Gray is something of a momma bird, despite the fact that she’s only a handful of weeks older than you, and she’d rather see you set up and happy before running off with Coriolanus. Luckily for you, he has a friend who, in your opinion, is much kinder and cuter than his blonde counterpart. You’d tell him that, if only your tongue didn’t tie up in knots every time you made eye contact.

Walking towards the lake, Sejanus is sure to push any low-hanging branches out of the way for you, holding out his hand to help you over loose rocks and tangles of roots. The two of you talk the entire way there, almost oblivious to the people surrounding you and the feeling of Lucy Gray staring at you. If you turned around, you’re almost certain you’d catch her grinning.

When you finally make it to the dock, you try not to stare as Sejanus pulls off his shirt, turning away to pull off your own clothes, completely unaware of the way he blushes as he turns back towards the water, for reasons unrelated to the beating sun. No matter how obvious Sejanus makes his affection, it seems impossible to you that somebody like him could love you, and even just friendship seems a little unbelievable sometimes.

The two of you wait for your younger cousins to go splashing into the water, certain that if you had jumped in first, you would have gotten pummeled with water and flying limbs. Launching yourself into the water, you resurface with a giggle as you watch Lucy Gray leap into the lake with Coriolanus hot on her heels. Sejanus is treading water next to you, and the two of you share a smile as you watch Lucy Gray out of the corner of your eye.

“They’re something else, aren’t they?” You wish you were as trusting as Lucy Gray, able to just accept affection like you deserved it, but you’re too busy daydreaming to realize that Sejanus is looking at you like you’re something to be admired.

After about twenty minutes of Maude Ivory’s splashing, you grow tired and heave yourself onto the dock, drying off in the sunshine and dangling your feet into the water. Sejanus sits next to you, claiming that he’s never been the strongest swimmer and he’d rather sit with you on mostly-solid ground, but from the way Lucy Gray winks at you, you’re almost certain it’s just an excuse to sit next to you.

The rest of the afternoon is spent lying side by side with Sejanus in the sun, talking about whatever comes to mind and kicking at your younger cousins whenever they decide to try and tug you back into the water. It’s all sunshine and giggles, and there’s a strange feeling forming in your chest, right in the center of your ribs, a feeling that grows whenever Sejanus looks over at you, eyes half-closed from the sun but still full of a sort of adoration that’s completely foreign to you.

These are always your favorite days, your favorite moments, little pockets of sun dappled peace for you to hold close to your heart and revisit whenever you’re feeling down. The way Sejanus looks at you, smiles at you, laughs at your jokes, places a gentle hand on the bottom of your back to guide you over rough terrain, catapults today to the top of your heart, a precious little jewel to hold onto.

In those moments, replaying the day over in your head with a dreamy smile on your face, you don’t have to worry about saying the wrong thing or reading too much into the way Sejanus seems to orbit you like you’re the sun, you just get to smile at the memory of the way his eyes crinkle with the intensity of his joy and the ghost of his warm palm on your back. And, no one can scold you for replaying these moments over and over, even though you’re much too nervous to ever say anything to Sejanus about the way your breath catches and your heart constricts whenever you see him.

have recently come to the realisation that ive had a complex about art consumption for a long long time, stemming from when i was a tween watching playthroughs and reviews and never playing or watching the stuff the reviews were based on. and some of that was because i was young and didnt have a computer to play danganronpa on, but i've been pirating shows as long as i've been on the internet, yet i never watched any of the anime all the youtubers talked about because it was safer and easier to listen to them talk about it and the culture than it was to ever have to seek out something i liked, to have to have my own thoughts about it. and that's followed me for at least 7 years at this point, and like, fuck, man, i wanna get out of that, but like, it's just so easy to sink into fanon. i don't watch youtube reviews anymore, but i've gotten into more than one fandom almost solely by reading a shitton of fanfiction about it. and i (former owner of yourfavehasfewerficsthanthislamp [eimear lore, veterans discount, etc]) am well aware that fanon near-universally flattens and disregards its characters and stories, saying 'fuck canon' and often for valid reason but rarely making anything better than it, but hell, it's just something to shove down my gob. it feels like easy reading, like i don't have to have my own big thoughts about symbolism and characterisation because someone else has done it for me, and it's shitty to treat fanfiction as inherantly less meaningful, but i do it anyway because it feels like the reading equivalent of having momma bird chew my food for me, and it makes me feel guilty but it keeps me fed! and i've found that a solution for this is to get into something that i've never seen anyone talk about, that nobody knows the Right Opinions for, and blade of the immortal has been wonderful for that! it's a good manga that's so long that it deters anyone from following me down the rabbit hole on a whim, and i like having my own little pit! but then i read another manga and i post about it and someone replies with an observation on the manga, and i think to myself, 'oh god', i think, 'now the neighbours are coming over and i have to clean the living room, i have to make sure my opinions are fully-formed and my appreciation is proper and there's not any mess', and even then there's a shitty bit that feels indignant because i liked to feel special, unique, like i was the only person that knew that manga and someone else has shattered that illusion, and i know i should be happy to share it but i never quite grew out of wanting to feel cool and obscure and like things were MINE. and the thing is that the more i read only fanfiction, the more i can literally feel my braincells dwindling, and i WANT to read something more substantial, because i know that if i pick up a novel or a manga or even the base material for the fic im reading, then i'll have fun and feel intelligent, but it feels like building myself up to opening that book is a chore that opening ao3 simply isnt. i've wanted to finished batman year one, i've wanted to read the hunchback of notre dame, but what i end up reading is a 33k batfam fic that i barely even read, that i only ever skim because slowing down and appreciating things and sitting with them, even just slowing down to actually read them, feels less like the direct hit of stimulus that skimming is. and so i've decided that the logical conclusion is to 1) get into media that i have never in my life seen on tumblr, that none of you fuckers could ask me about if you tried and 2) never ever post about it or search for community around it. to allow myself to read things wrong and to not have the pressure of feeling like there's someone over my back in all this, like i'm not in fandom or criticising fandom but just existing on my lonesome. potentially even to the point of going on break from tumblr for a bit, because i love you fuckers and this is a neutral statement but fandom is unavoidable on here. and i would for sure come back to tumblr and i would maybe come back to less obscure shit once i

hold on tumblr has a text block character limit. anyway once i built up more confidence in myself and didnt feel any pressure to have the right opinions about shit, even if i never engaged in fandom again but instead just kept up with some popular stuff, like an office worker who casually watches breaking bad or whatever. and this is really what i should be doing, and maybe not now because the leaving is in *checks watch* literally a month and a half oh fuck. and i need to focus my brainpower on that (lol as if thats gonna happen) but i cant make a concerted effort towards the leaving if im working on reforming my media habits. but even in the summer i could do it and i should do it, and cut back a little now to make it easier than going cold turkey.

which is why now was THE WORST POSSIBLE TIME to get into batman via take-a-fucking-guess ding-ding-ding fanfiction osmosis, something which is both 1) undeniably mainstream enough that the odds of me meeting people in real fucking life to ask me about my Correct Opinions are higher than i would like them to be and 2) a labyrinth thats been built over the course of like 80 years, out of comics and movies and shows and games and the comics alone are a mess of timelines and reboots and crossovers and whoops-this-character-is-in-this-comic-now-better-fuck-off-over-there-if-you-want-to-find-them that wreaks absolute HELL upon my 'i wanna be sooo well informed and read all the stuff and take no shortcuts' approach that kicks in whenever i DO start actually engaging in shit instead of just the fandom.

Chris and Momma had talked it over for a few months, they really wanted to make sure Arlie wasn't just going through a phase when it came to her love for all things ducks

The first step was getting a custom made pond put in their backyard, as well as connecting with rescues and people who specialize in birds, especially ducks

They wanted to make sure they had everything they'd need, especially when it came to winter, so after a while, the pond had been put in, fences put up around a large area, and a white and black duck hutch, built to keep the ducks warm in the winter, or safe from storms

The adopted a few different breeds of ducks, and had them placed into their new space, even picking up some sweet little yellow ducklings

"Arlie baby, come with me outside, daddy and I have a surprise"

She quickly grasped your hand "what is it momma?!"

You laughed at her eagerness, she was always so excited when the word surprise was mentioned

You both walked out and over to where Chris was, making sure the ducks had some food, and were settling in alright

Flash ahead to all the eggs hatching, Memphis' egg doesnt budge. So Gloria (little gal penguin WHOS VOICED BY P!NK??) and her dad come over and lil babu gloria taps at the egg until some peets pop out and Memphis is like "YAY OK BABY I HAVE BABY" and Mumble (Memphis' baby) pops out but hes tapping his feet and Memphis is like "wtf" and Mumbles like "my feets are happy :)" but they tell him to stop being autistic and so theres that. So as kids they are supposed to have a heartsong which is a penguin religion thing used to attract mates in the future so Gloria belts out something wonderful but Mumble sounds like a dying cassowary and just grows up as a mommas boy outcast. At sone point hes nearly eaten by a predator bird but hes a smart baby and asks ab the ring on his leg and this bird is like "alien. Abduction" but really he was just observed by humans n shit but this gives baby Mume enough time to hide in a hole until they leave! Ok so now all the baby guins grow up, Priest penguin gives a speech ab the graduating n shit. So theyre all at this party and Glorias sibging and for some reason theyre singing queen how do the penguins know queen. So Mumble gets excited and starts not only dancing but also honking and he gets kicked out which is sad. He wakes up alone and is like "hahah lol very funny this is a prank right" until this fucking RUSSIAN LEOPARD SEAL TRIES TO EAT HIM??? So he panics and scrambles on land and these hispanic guins (ONE OF WHICH IS ROBIN FUCKING WILLIAMS) tease the seal with him until it leaves, call themselves "the amigos" then take him to their land or whatevs so he learns about them making nests with pebbles n shit. Then theyre like "how do you get girls" and hes like "well we sing" but he cant sing bc he sounds like a drowning furby when he tries. So they hang out n such and then belly slide down a hill but a tractor falls in the water and hes like "amigos wtf was that!" And theyre like "dont know dont care" so they take him to this guy named Lovelace who is some sort of guru ig?? Some fat penguin with a plastic ring stuck round his neck claiming he speaks to mystic beings??? So Mumble is like "have you ever been ubducted bc i met a bird with a ring kinda like that" and Lovelace (WHO IS ALSO THE FUCKING NARRATOR) gets irrationally mad and tells him to leave. AND THEN LEAVES TO FUCK HIS BITCHES, IM NOT EXAGGERATING GO WATCH IT. and so he leaves with the amigos and goes home like "Guys i know whos taking our fish!" But tge priest guin us like "YOU UPSET GOD WITH YOUR TAP DANCING" and his momma is like "leave my kid alone!" And his dad us begging him to be normal and hes like "its my fault hes this way, I DROPPED HIM' yknow for dramatics so hes like "fuck yall! Imma go find those aliens and save our fish!" So he leaves and the amigos take him back to Lovelace who is now choking so they have to guess what hes attempting to say. They go to the ekeohant seals who basically tell him to give up and Mumble is like "guys, tell mom i love her" and JUMPS OFF A FUCKING CLIFF??? WHAT??? So he swims off to find the humans but washes up unconcious on shore and is taken to the zoo. So theres a heart breaking scene of him trying to talk to humans but hes just bird screaming at them until he loses his voice and it broke me, dude. So after three months hes literally hallucinating and contemplating just givibg up but this lil girl taps at the glass. So he starts tap dancing and the girl leaves and hes like "damnit, i messed up huh" but she comes back with her mom so he dances until hes surrounded by a crowd. So they dont make it clear in the next scene but he ends up back home for some reason (maybe eligible for release?) And hes like "GUYS WE GOTTA TAP DANCE FOR THE ALIENS" but the priest Guin gets mad again like "FUCK YOU YOU UPSET GOD THATS WHY THERES NO FISH" but Mumble has a tracking device on his back and itsa beepin. so now half the birds are singing and half are dancing. So norma is like "MY BABY IS ALIIIIVE" and greets him until she brings him to Memphis WHO HAD LITERALLY GIVEN UP BECAUSE HE WAS SO GUILTY OVER LETTING HIS SON BE EXILED?? so hes like "dad we gotta dance" so he teaches his dad to dance. All these humans arrive and now all these penguins are dancing so these humans are recording now and it goes VIRAL. So now its this montage of humans fighting for fishing restrictions and penguin rights?? Flash forward, happy eva afta for the penguins!! Gloria n Mumble hit it off and everyone is happy :)

I’m afraid not. Steam doesn’t have Android builds on their own site and Steam is not cool with keys for other sites being given out for Steam purchases, so you don’t get the Itch version from buying on Steam.

You would have to buy it twice if you want it in both places, I’m sorry. To repeat myself a little, Steam doesn’t like the key trading thing. Itch may support giving keys for another site, but the reverse isn’t doable with Steam and Steam doesn’t even really want you to get a Steam key for buying somewhere else either. So we just don’t mess around with that.

It’s free! There’s a paid wedding DLC, but Step 4 itself is entirely unpaid.

It’s not, aha. Unfortunately, 2021 wasn’t easier than 2020 as we hoped so things are still slower than planned. It’ll come out late 2021 or early 2022.

I just wanted to ask if Derek would ever lose feelings for MC, like if they make the deal and then MC gets with Cove would he move on? and even if you don't, after "losing contact" would his feeling fade or would he still like MC? 

If you don’t really keep in touch with him and clearly move on with your life, Derek will too and he’ll be over it. But if you are still close as best as you can be, he’ll still think the MC is special. Though, he’ll always support your relationship with someone else if that’s what’ll make you happy.

She’s related to Pamela and Pamela’s last name is the one they use, so the MC has the same last name as Lee.

Will we be able to choose which (they or he) we tend to call Qiu by more often, or will it randomly change depending on the moment? 

Qiu knows which pronoun they’re comfortable with at a time and you’ll call them what they’re happy with. And it doesn’t change between lines, it takes multiple scenes or even full Steps for it to switch. So for extended periods Qiu will be totally a guy or fully agender.

Will Step 4 of OL2 have moments?

It’ll be an epilogue like it is in OL1, so it won’t have a bunch of different Moments.

It isn’t based on one specific town you can go to, but there are a lot of little coastal towns in Cali that have a similar vibe!

You wouldn’t get the DLCs for backing there. The Patreon is for extra bonus content/early access, rather than being a storefront to purchase the normal DLCs. Rarely we give them out as a side gift, but it hardly happens and if what you want is the DLCs it’s best to ignore the Patreon and  buy keys for those directly from Itch or Steam. I’m sorry for the confusion.

I just played the game with the MC and Cove being best friends and omg it’s still so damn cute like the wholesomeness of it all is too much for my heart I swear ^.^  Now with that all said I was wondering can we still marry Cove? if we only love him as a friend like let’s say we’ve made deal with him similar to the one we can make with Derek because let’s real no one could compete with what the MC and Cove have even if they aren’t in love. 

It’s great to hear you enjoyed the friendship story! You can live with Cove, but you can’t marry him platonically. Cove has familial affection for the MC if they’re best-est friends. He wouldn’t think to marry someone he loves like family and even grew up with as though they truly were siblings.

Maybe you missed telling Cove you were in love with him even if you mentioned wanting to get married or you might’ve accidentally said earlier in the game that you don’t want to progress your relationship further with Cove. We haven’t removed them, so you can get the scene again. It’s just kind of easy to miss since there’s multiple requirements. You can read a little guide in the FAQ.

Technically, yes. We treat the non-romantic relationship options as truly non-romantic since we don’t want to bait and switch people. But there’s nothing wrong with headcanoning that Cove does have feelings developing for the MC even before the MC has.

Is there a way to make/allow Lee and Baxter to date?

No, they just don’t have enough time together.

No, she doesn’t. As for the other questions included, to be honest, I don’t have to explain/defend having romance options of different sizes. I’m sorry if you’re dealing with unhappiness that’s connected to body image, if that’s where the negative emotions are coming from, but even so I can’t meet you on that level and pretend it’s a problem that needs an answer. A girl who simply isn’t thin being a main love interest is just not an unreasonable concept. Also, Tamarack isn’t a lesbian. Yes, she can date a female MC, but that doesn’t undo her actual sexuality, so I’m not sure where that one part at the end was coming from.

It’d depend on his age, personality, and your relationship with him! When he’s younger he’d probably be embarrassed, when he was grown he’d probably be more casual or happy about it.

Yeah, you can be crushing on Cove and date Baxter if you weren’t already dating Cove. You just can’t be truly in love with Cove and then switch to Baxter.

The focus will be on the wedding day itself. The topic of the honeymoon might come up a bit, but there won’t be any choosing of the exact location and such.

First, is there a set year in which OL:B&A takes place (ex: Step 1 being set in 2010 & Step 2 being set in 2016, etc.) or is it simply up to interpretation? Second, have you guys thought about doing a coming-of-age game where the MC has a tough home life or upbringing? (like one of their parents is an addict, a parent being transphobic whilst the player has the option to be trans, or having friends that are influencing them to do drugs, etc.) That's all! Step 1: 2006 Step 2: 2011 Step 3: 2016 Step 4: 2021 

And we don’t currently plan on making a game like that. The Our Life series exists to be a safer environment for people to play around in and if we did do a brand new series that was harsher edged it’d be something more fantastical and/or plot-driven instead of a different type of modern day slice-of-life growing up story. I’m sorry.

i don’t know if you’ve already answered this, but do you have a guess on when phase 4 will come out? as well as ol2? i’m so excited for both of them, the inclusivity in this game is amazing, you guys should be really proud of it! 

Step 4 will be coming out very soon! OL2 is gonna take until 2023 to be anywhere near completion. But we might episodically release the Steps one at a time as they get done instead of waiting for three to be finished before launch like we did with the first game.

That’s nice of you to offer. He doesn’t have a Twitter, at least not one that’s public enough to be shared with me. And I’m afraid not. The issue is that the CGs take huge amounts of time rather than there not being a budget for it. He’s gotta make CGs for Step 4, the DLCs, and new character sprites, too. There isn’t space in the schedule for even more. Sorry for that.

i was wondering- did any of the writers actually grow up by the beach? as someone who's lived in a beach town all their life it really did feel nostalgic to play through our life 1 

I was born and raised in Cali! Though, not right by the beach. We still had to make trips out, but the setting is based on my own childhood memories of small beach towns we went through.

If you wanted context: Death Note is about this one guy who finds a notebook that kills anyone who you write the name of in there. The guy eventually develops a God Complex and starts mass killing criminals and stuff. L is the one trying to find out who is killing all these people.

Me and my sister first joked about it because I couldn't remember how to translate a word about the way Cove was sitting, so I just did the pose, and it looked a lot like how L himself sits! Then we just snowballed from there, with more and more nonsense connections.

May I ask for Bluey Capsules Vincent with a trans male reader who has arthritis (mostly in his knees)? Maybe reader’s been struggling to get up for a while and needs a bit of reassurance? (I’m sorry, I’m going through it recently)

Ofc! I love writing for Vincent and if i can make someone at least a bit reassured then I'll be happy but tbh im worried i’m gonna get at least one thing wrong- (I'm also sorry you've been dealing with it anon,i hope it gets better soon!)

Vincent already knew about this,considering he’s just about the same way some days. Sometimes he can’t even get up and has to lay in bed a while before he can get himself up.

If it’s one of those days Vincent is quick to tell you to just lay down and he’d grab some ice or get a warm washcloth to place on it to help it not hurt as much. 

Vinny stays by your side the whole time till you feel at least a bit better to get up,he starts getting cheesy like you’re on your deathbed or something- (by that i mean he’s just saying you’re a good boyfriend and just all that good stuff <3)

His way of reassuring you is by staying by your side whenever you try to get up and whenever you do he helps you walk if you need him to help but even if you say you’re fine he’s gonna watch you like some momma bird-

It was one of those days again,you couldn’t even leave the bed and poor Vincent was trying to ask you what was wrong. He already guessed what it was since you already told him once you two started your relationship you had arthritis mostly in your knee to the point where you couldn’t move some days. “Y/n,you just wanna lay in bed today..? we have nothing to do plus this means i can spoil you with affection!”Vincent smiled as he got himself up from the bed. You sighed softly and smiled at him.”Vinny,i don’t wanna bug you..” “Oh you aren’t! Plus i love caring for my boyfriend who cares for me also,” He said as he gave you a kiss on the forehead. “How about this,i grab a warm washcloth,we watch some movies and cuddle..does that sound nice?” You gave him a tiny nod and watched him walk off to the bathroom. You were lucky to have him but it almost seemed like he was luckier to have you. You made his day better and he made yours better. Not too long after you somewhat sat yourself up Vincent came back with a washcloth in hand.”Y/nn..you could’ve waited for me! I don’t want you hurting yourself,”He said as he helped you lay down and propped you up a bit to put the washcloth on your knee. He got himself up on the bed with you and put a arm around you,running his fingers through your hair.”..Hey Y/n,you know it’s alright you can’t do things some days? Plus you overwork yourself,you..just need a break sometimes even if it’s cause your body forces it! What i'm sayin’ hun,it’s okay to hurt even if it’s constant. It happens.” You were silent before moving over a bit to snuggle into his chest,smiling softly.”..Quit being so damn soft,Vincent-” “Heyyy! I was tryna be nice!”He giggled as he kissed your forehead.

Have you thought the idea of Sam and Dean meeting Jensen and Jared? I think it would be very funny, Dean and Jared would get along great 😂 grumpy Jensen and Sam being together rolling eyes at both of them. And how S/D will know that Dean is married to Anael and Sam is married to ruby(that we already know but still) seeing two Impalas in Texas and dean's reaction on that😂 Dean and Jared's fast food spree, with Jensen's FBBC tour of all four of them. I think it would be a great day😂

Jared looked at Dean's face closely.

"Hey he actually has less freckles than you do, Ackles !" he said in a chuckle.

"Yeah, that's makeup" Jensen sighed, looking around at the bunker, it was really impressive to see it without the lights, the cameras and anything showing it was a set.

"I don't wear makeup !" Dean grunted, offended.

Sam sighed, his nose still in his book, and rubbed his face. That trip to the world where they were TV show characters a few years ago had been enough. Now, as nice as they seemed, he really wanted to find a way to send those TV stars back home.

"Sammy relax, what's one more weird version of us" Dean stated, taking a step back from that man looking just like him wearing more fancy clothes, longer hair and a beard. "Dude what's up with the hair, cut it !"

"I like to let it grow when I'm in a hiatus, Dean" Jensen answered, feeling weird at saying a name that had been, for him, one of his for years.

Jared's laugh echoed in the bunker loudly. How could all the props have turned into real things ? He touched the blades and mouthed "awesome".

"Can't you be a little more like Padicky sometimes Sammy ?" Dean gave his brother a mocking smile.

"Padalecki" Sam corrected him, immediately giving Jared his best bitch face when the actor came close to try to high-five him.

"So you know everything about our lives ?" Dean asked, still weirdly looking at this face he was used to see in the mirror.

"Yeah" Jensen answered.

His voice was slightly different, and the expression on his face too. He turned his head to look at the weird polish named actor that looked like Sam, he was more agitated, smiling more and acting like a puppy in a new garden ; but there was still something heavy in his eyes...

"We know you for so long !" Jared said with a smile. "And I must say : Big fans."

"Still we know nothing of you" Sam lifted his eyes from his book. "If you two are going to stay there until we find a way to send you back to your perfect lives, we will need to know a few things."

"We're both married with kids" Jared said right away, feeling the urge to reassure Sam because the man he considered his best -imaginary but still- friend being so wary was uncomfortable.

"Married ? Oh yeah ! This one married fake Ruby" Dean mocked.

"I'm married to the actress playing Anael" Jensen stated, staring at Dean.

Sam chuckled, happy to see his brother's confused face.

"Shut up Sam, my wife is hot !" Dean grunted, making Jensen smile at his familiar attitude. "And kids ?"

"Yes, three, Jared too" the actor answered, a little sad when he realized they didn't exist here. "They're the best."

"Yeah well I have Baby" Dean said, like he needed to defend himself.

"I have one too" Jensen smiled.

"Me too !" Jared loudly said from the other side of the room, where he was looking everywhere.

"Excuse me ?" Dean's eyes widened. "Baby is not 'one', she's the only one !"

A silence fell upon them. Jensen put a hand on his pocket and took his phone, coming closer to Dean. He had no idea why he needed his character's approbation that much, maybe because he had admired him for so long...

"Look, those are my kids" he said low.

Dean looked at the pictures with a weird impression, the little boy actually looked a little like him. The pictures were taken in pools, fancy clothes, family meetings in big houses... And his heart started to ache a little.

"Wait what is that shit !" he suddenly exclaimed. "You have a... Is that bird ? You have a cheesy bird tattoo !"

"I made it for my daughter, JJ" the actor frowned.

"I may not have a daughter, but at least my body is free from all your posh crap" Dean proudly smiled, earning a disapprobation frown from his brother. "What ? There are fake rays of sunshine Sammy !"

Jared took a sit next to Sam to read over his shoulder and gasped.

"You really read Latin !" he exclaimed proudly.

"Okay" Sam sighed, closing the book in front of him, unable to focus. "Who's hungry ?"

Dean and Jared lifted their hands very quickly in the same time, making Sam roll his eyes.

While Dean started making his way to the kitchen, he crossed the green eyes of his double staring back at him. He would never admit being a little jealous of a world without monsters, of family and money... Just like Jensen would never admit how small he felt next to the actual hero that had saved to world, went to actual Hell and all, but also changed his own life so deeply.

"Dean" the actor stopped him with a friendly hand on the arm, making the hunter turn to him when Jared's voice of excitement resonated from the kitchen. "Can we take a ride in the impala, just you and me ? In the real Baby I mean."

Dean searched his eyes and nodded.

"Sure. But no way you're driving,  Ackles."
