I don't know why season 4 like screeched my lost-watching to a halt but it really kind of fell off for me. ever since they've been doing the little off the island flash-forwards it's been losing me. I'm sure there's an interesting compelling storytelling reason for all of it, but from where I'm sitting it changed the whole vibe in a direction I'm not enjoying. I will continue to watch I guess, but it's slow going.

ok so i hav THOUGHTS and FEELINGS abt ep 4 of tadc that r honestly kinda difficult 2 put into words? but im gonna try

so i actually genuinely liked this episode even tho it was kinda difficult 2 watch (in a good way!!) but then after watching it i immediately went into the tags 4 tadc and specifically tadc ep 4 2 c what every1 else was saying abt it and tbh i think that was a mistake? like now tbh the problems i hav w the fandom r kinda almost overshadowing the actual content of the episode 4 me which is rly sad bc the episode was a rly good 1

okay so i may as well get this out of the way and accept that im probably gonna get hate 4 it but i gotta say smth that ik basically no1 else is gonna agree w me on,,,

GANGLE WAS NOT THE VICTIM OF EPISODE 4!

and i don't just mean that in the "she wasn't a victim of jax's antics this episode" way i mean like,,, i keep seeing ppl still doing the "oh no poor baby" thing w gangle even w this episode and like? it's tiring!? tbh i honestly thought this episode was the 1 that would get ppl 2 c in gangle what i was seeing in gangle the whole time tbh which is that gangle is the embodiment of weaponised "im just a girl" white woman tears

also 2 get this out of the way since ik the fandom is kinda split on this 1 yes i hc gangle as white, i feel like her character would b different if she was asian both in how she interacts w anime and in her design

so okay 2 explain that, if gangle was japanese i don't think her design would include the european comedy and tragedy masks so heavily and it would be more likely that her design would instead be modelled after japanese kabuki masks since she wouldn't hav the same connection 2 the european comedy and tragedy masks as a european person would and we see that cultural signifiers do in fact change in the character designs with pomni who i think likely is supposed to be asian, her jester costume is more similar to asian styles of clothing than european and her hair is in a style that's very popular with asian working women, now because im not asian and i don't know a lot about cultural signifiers in asian culture aside from what i've heard i could be wrong about some things here and if there are any asian people who would like to correct me please feel free to, just to be clear bc i keep having this problem across my blogs WHEN I SAY IF U R IN A MINORITY GROUP IM TALKING ABT U CAN CORRECT ME THIS DOES NOT EXTEND 2 PPL OUTSIDE OF THAT MINORITY GROUP WHO WANNA START BEEF W ME OVER NOTHING!

so okay in my head gangle is a white girl, this is relevant 2 how she weaponises toxic positivity and then weaponises her crying, white women hav been doing this 4ever and it's how i was able 2 c her being like this from a mile away, i knew she was gonna b like this the whole time but it feels like every1 else in the fandom keeps falling 4 it idk, like at least 4 me this episode rly highlighted how gangle and jax r narrative foils of each other

jax is abrasive and rude and wants ppl 2 think he's just an asshole bc he doesn't know how 2 connect w ppl on a deeper lvl but realistically all he would do if he had a bit of power over some1 would b 2 mess w them a bit bc of him being chronically bored

gangle if she had even a tiny bit of power over some1 would literally b micromanaging them and incredibly controlling and abusive but wants every1 2 think she's harmless

jax when he bullies the others it's clear that it's him lashing out bc of a lack of control in his life so he acts as a bully 2 try 2 feel like he has a dagree of control over his environment

gangle when she starts treating the others badly it's when she's finally in a position of power

gangle is literally being an abusive manager this episode but every1 is more focused on the fact that jax was a bully in the previous episodes 2 notice! hell even some ppl r glorifying gangle's actions! like wtf!?

like okay, early in the episode jax throws ragatha into the deep fryer, that's bad we all know it is, w that being said we also know that physical damage in this world is not permanent and that ragatha will b fine even tho she's having a bad time of it, jax is very clearly doing this as a way of lashing out bc he doesn't like that the adventure they r doing 2day is working at a fast food place

gangle,, seemingly doesn't care abt what's happening 2 ragatha? and is more focused on punishing jax's behaviour, telling him off and then having a conversation w caine who is "upper management" 4 the adventure abt how she wants a punishment 2 b awaiting jax 4 his behaviour at the end of the day, she then also delights in holding this power over jax the entire episode, it's worth pointing out i think that gangle never bothers 2 get ragatha out of the deep fryer and is even shown walking away from ragatha still in the deep fryer showing that she really doesn't actually care about the fact that ragatha is being hurt

later gangle consistently keeps piling work onto jax throughout the episode and seems to delight in holding this power over him, jax gets more and more tired and depressed throughout the episode and eventually stands up for himself but in a way that is less violent than usual, gangle tries to get him to do a job that isn't in his job description, jax then points out that that should be handled by the people who's job it is to do that, gangle then asks jax "doesn't he want to be a team player?" and other office buzzwords that managers often use 2 coerce employees into doing work that isn't in their job description, jax then says no and that he doesn't care abt any of this which is a very normal attitude 4 a fast food employee 2 hav and that's when (if i remember correctly) gangle sends him 2 the brainwashing room also this bitch has a brainwashing room where she tries 2 brainwash jax but no1 cares bc every1 is still defending her 4 some reason!?

another thing that i think is relevant is that i hc jax as having ASPD bc i hav ASPD myself and i relate 2 jax a lot bc of this and hav noticed ways in which jax's behaviour is very similar at times 2 how my ASPD symptoms show up, there r some differences obviously since jax is living in a video game simulation where physically harming ppl leaves no permanent effect and i don't live in that situation but the cycle of messing w ppl around u 4 entertainment, lashing out when things don't go ur way and then not being able 2 connect w those around u thus making u less able 2 control these behaviours in the future and making u lash out more is very real, the chronic boredom is there, the irritability is there, jax using messing w ppl as a primary source of entertainment and also a primary way of trying 2 connect w those around him is there

this is relevant because this would mean that jax is being punished by gangle for showing symptoms of ASPD, smth that he can't control not just that but while gangle is the main villain every1 is kinda a dick 2 jax in this episode, pomni assumes that jax must hav an ulterior motive when he asks how she's doing, zooble basically tells jax that his actions r making it more likely 4 caine 2 kill them all (which i don't think caine would do but zooble seems 2 think he would) and ragatha says that she hates jax but doesn't want jax 2 hate her and basically confesses that being the actual reason why she pretends 2 b nice 2 him, (also yes i say pretends and not tries since she gets mad at jax earlier in the episode 4 smth that jax points out "was actually a mistake that time") and the thing is? jax isn't even surprised, he knows that ragatha hates him already he just also knows she wouldn't say that if she was sober

also side note i rly need ppl 2 stop saying that gangle's brain washing was successful and that's the only reason jax was more friendly/agreeable/less of a bully this episode like no, it's bc he's depressed af this episode also pls stop saying that gangle brainwashing jax would b a good thing if it made him act differently that's legit such an ableist thing 2 say omg

“Just reminding both of them who they belong to,” Rhea smirked, “Mami’s been gone so long, hasn’t she, loves?”

She was right. Three months without Rhea had left you and Dom scrambling trying to get the title belt away from Liv and avoiding her increasingly uncomfortable advances toward you both. It had all come to a head tonight, when Dom started yelling at Liv.

You were surprised at first, never having seen him have an outburst quite like that before. But the more he spoke, the more you agreed and, eventually, both of you were yelling across the stadium for Liv to stop trying to interfere with your relationship. She ran away crying - but the moment she did, Rhea grabbed both you and Dom by the throat in that passionate, possessive way you both missed.

You watched his goofy grin as Rhea slowly licked the side of Dom’s face and kissed him, before doing the same with you. Once the three of you entered the hotel room, both you and Dom were told to strip down to nothing. Eagerly following orders, it quickly became a sort of competition as to who could strip faster, Dom playfully throwing his clothes your way as soon as he removed them until you were doing the same.

“Behave for Mommy, darlings,” Rhea warned, trying not to laugh at your antics, “Go on, kiss and make up.”

Dropping the underwear you still had balled up in your hand, you threw your arms around Dom and the two of you giggled as you kissed.

“That’s better,” she said, slowly taking off her belt and undoing her pants, “Family shouldn’t fight. Family” - she let her pants, belt and all, fall to the floor before running her hand along the small wet patch that was already soaking through her panties - “should love each other.”

Once her underwear also laid on the floor in a heap, Rhea turned around and bent over. While you and Dom were distracted by the mouthwatering view, her hand disappeared into one of her bags for a moment, pulling out a purple bandana and a shiny, silver marker.

A cool feeling slithered across your chest as the acrid marker smell reached your nose. As for the two episodes you mentioned, first one was in the Gresini Team Presentation on January 20th in Riccione, and if you want to watch the whole thing its here!! They did ask Marc if he had any plans to go training in some of the motocross tracks in Romagna, like the 04 Park, while he was there. And Marc said that just that morning he thought something like, “Im gonna call him and ask him if he’s busy?”, but then he basically had no time so he couldn’t actually go. And then he said something like “I would still like it very much, especially to go riding around Dovizioso’s track, whom I have a beautiful relationship with!”. And then we all cried. (me, i cried)

As for the book! Yes, he did say that he would’ve liked to have relationships and connections with other riders in general, because there’s not many people in the world that have the privilege to share their same experiences. He spoke a lot about how the relationships work in the paddock, which he describes as a shark tank basically (literally says minefield). And he said it’s a shame he basically had no friends within the motogp environment, but it’s how it works, because in that world everything it’s about money and feral competition. About Marc (the book was published in 2018 if i’m not wrong, so as for their relationship in 2018 at least) he said they’ weren’t technically friends, but they thought highly of each other, respected each other, smiled to each other when one saw the other one! He spoke a lot about how the connection grew stronger in each one of their battle. How at the end of every race he felt like they just climbed a mountain and they arrived right at the peak together. “The connection has deepened. The relationship was preserved”. It’s one of my fave part of the book, maybe I’ll try to translate the whole thing!

And finally!, as for their current relationship, I’d say it’s still… very good? Dovi was in Mugello this year, and he had this beautiful interview with SkySport Italia where he praised Marc for his outstanding work. If you want to watch it, it’s here! unless they go to the afterlife or something i guess? interesting stakes, especially with the lady from the end of the episode who's looking for them. also the scene hanging outside the window was very sweet, with edwin promising he won't let them get separated. at this point i think it could go either way whether that was to establish their dynamic or to foreshadow, so we'll have to wait and see if the promise holds, but either way very touching moment

the witch... esther i think? god what do i say about her. ok im first gonna start with this: she's fucking chilling, it's so scary watching her body the group with ease until charles basically hail-marys and possesses her AND EVEN THEN it's for less than a minute til she forces him out!! it feels like encountering the bbeg when your party is level five- you know you can't touch her and have to play the situation carefully so she doesn't just end you, and the win is getting away with a different objective (here saving the kid) while knowing she's gonna be actively hostile to you now. scary stuff!

idk if this is the popular opinion or not but i just don't find her hot 😭 like yeah she's serving incredible cunt, but her awful pta mom energy keeps that from being attractive. idk if it's the mommy issues but i would feel unsafe and constantly judged in her presence which is usually a dealbreaker for me finding people hot. sorry ma'am i deeply respect your vibe and the cunt you serve i would just avoid u like hell if u were real

the whole snake in a bone dimension in her cupboard is pretty cool though, and i love that her blowing smoke in people's faces isn't just a power play but a paralytic that's So clever

any other thoughts.... the girl with long hair is pretty, and that interaction with crystal has me wondering if the show got cancelled for lesbianism. i feel like maybe not? idk, if it was the start of a relationship that seems weirdly at odds with the tone of the rest of the show, so im leaning more towards crystal was picking up a weird psychic vibe from her that might be important later. who knows though!! i'll just have to find out haha

anyway i got sucked back into reading a novel but i should get caught up on that sometime today and then it's on to episode two, lol. very interested to find out what's up with the cat's vague ominous warning and what esther's gonna do when she finds out they rescued the kid she kidnapped

hehee im on my 18th relisten of my favorite podcast show ever. this is a niche interest in the harley quinn fandom but i just love love love this version of harley so much (if people like this, i might write more idk)

"come on, doc. one ride." joker's hand goes around your waist. he starts to the pull you to the carousel, gesturing to harleen to follow him. you let him drag you onto the ride, not wanting to ruin things for harleen.

"money, mr. j. i need the money." her voice was firm, but her eyes followed you, aware of your predicament.

"yes, yes, money, shmoney. what am i, chopped liver?" joker mumbles. he moves to pick you up, but you step back.

"what're you doing?" you try to put some distance between yourself and the clown.

"we're taking a ride, (y/n). isn't that obivious?" he tilts his head. he notices your hesitation and steps closer, "or.... if you want, we can do something else... you know what they say," he smirks, "save a horse, ride a cowboy."

you roll your eyes, "nevermind, just help me onto a horse." he picks you up by the waist to place you onto a horse. he kisses the back of your hand before hopping onto the same horse, pressing himself against your back. you look over to see harleen, watching the two of you interact.

"doctor quinzellllll, get on! i robbed a bank for you, y'know? godd, the things i do for love... just one ride." he grins and leans his chin on your shoulder. he murmurs into your ear, "you're sooo nice and warm," his arms wrap around your waist, "i can see why our harleen loves you so much."

"she's not "ours" and she's not some thing to own, joker." you try to move away from his chest, but joker just laughs at your weak attempt and pulls you closer to him.

"come on, baby, lighten up. i'm just saying, i'm okay with being shared between the two of you." he presses a kiss to your shoulder and you flinch.

"don't touch them, joker." harleen manages to get onto the moving ride, annoyance clearly written on her face.

"uh oh, nurse (y/n), i think the doctor is jealous." he giggles as harleen gets onto the black horse next to the two of you. you hear her huff, getting onto the horse. “good girl.” he smiles, joyfully. joker starts to go on about his mother.

harleen interrupts, "what do you want, joker? what do you want from us?" she speaks firmly, not interested in his talk. you feel his arms get tighter around you in frustration before relaxing back.

"it's not about what i want! it's about sharing a moment, all three of us! getting..." he leans in close to whisper into your ear, "real." shivers go down your spine and you elbow him in retaliation. he laughs, loud. "easy there, tiger. i'm very fragile." he lets go of you to mockingly rub where you hit him. he wraps his arms around you again, pulling you closer onto his lap.

"joker." her rage is thinly concealed and she gets off the horse. "this!" she claps, "has been really great." she lets out a breath, gesturing to you to come to her. "but we've got to get back. my father-" you feel his grip loosen and you scramble off to harleen's side.

"godddd," joker groans, "snoreee. what about us?" joker practically whines, reaching out to the two of you dramatically. "when's our next hang session? when are we gonna get that threesome scheduled?" he pretends to flip through a notebook and looks to you for a laugh.

you roll your eyes and harleen heisitates, you speak for her, "harleen needs to be with her father right now, joker." she nods.

"ahhh, you two want to take it sloww. a couple dates, walks in the parks, i see i see." he nods, "sooo no threesome... at least not yet." he smirks.

"i just need to be with my dad so, if i could just get that money..." harleen tries to placate the jester.

"i see how it is. i'm just a dollar sign to you, huh?" the both of you try to deny it, "no no! i give you the money and bam! you're gone, abandoning me!" he gets off the horse, dramaticaly leaning on the pole

"no, no! harleen and i, we are so grateful, mister j!" you force a smile, reaching to touch his hand. he grabs it and pulls you into a crushing hug. you let out a muffled yelp in surprise.

harleen pauses for a second before contining, "how about this, give me your name and number and i promise- we promise to call you. after my dad's surgery, i'll be fully present and we'll get together a-and we'll have all the time in the world." you could hear the quiet desperation in her voice as you, and the money, were held hostage by the clown.

he hums, rubbing your back, and lets go, "it's a deal. here." he hands the both of you a card from his back pocket. 'dirk mcdongle's pleasure palace' you don't ask for an explaination, eager to get out. harleen asks for the money once more and joker pats himself down. "i don't have it! you do!" he laughs, "or at least... your horse does." he starts to ramble on about some phrase, but you watch as harleen practically scrambles to grab the bag of money from the horse's mouth. she practically collapses from relief and you hold her by the waist.

"we should get going." you interrupt his insane ramble and he smiles, reaching out a hand. you force yourself to hold your hand. he presses a small kiss on the back and straightens it to bite your finger lightly. you snatch it back and help harleen walk out.

"don't forget! dirk dongle's! we put the ass! in pal-ass!" you could hear his cackle ringing in your ear even as the two of you drive away.

okay. for the first time in my life I'm using the #tdp critical tag because I have some things to get off my chest about s6 and I desperately need to focus on an exam for tomorrow and can't and idk I feel slightly out of my mind/wondering if this really is just a me problem but like

this season felt kind of sparse to me regarding character interactions outside of duos they wanted to focus on/letting characters present react to situations. stuff like Amaya not having a comment about Callum not being at her wedding or the Celestial Elves really not having much to say about Aaravos himself despite the Elder theoretically having been around in the days pre imprisonment like

I don't mind that Viren died but I do feel out of my MIND that he and Ezran didn't actually get a conversation, and beyond that that Viren didn't try to pass along any Aaravos information to anyone, and that even if Soren and Viren's relationship was just Maxed Out that we didn't get Opeli and Ezran talking about what to do with him (could've even had Soren walk in and do a Callum S4 moment of 'you ever walk into a room and everyone goes quiet and you know they were talking about you' moment), Opeli reacting/checking on Soren while Viren was imprisoned even if he didn't want to talk to her, there being any verdict about Viren at all and we're never getting anything else out of him again which is why no Ezran and by extension Callum/Rayla/ect feels sort of disappointing to me, as he hasn't interacted with Callum since S1

It's a really good moment, don't get me wrong, but we traded the suspense of thinking Viren had perhaps killed Soren for us getting any last words or gesture from him to Soren face to face

the Celestial Elves gave us info on Startouch Elves in general but not on Aaravos specifically even though the Elder I thought would know more? They aren't surprised at the idea of trying to kill a Great One/Aaravos but there wasn't even a word of warning about if he does get loose or anything Specific about the last time it happened or, if they didn't know anything, confusion about why a Great One is imprisoned like idk

no one had any concern either when getting access to the stars which again, idk, I thought Callum might've been more worried about Aaravos being at the Starscraper and the prison (when he thought he had it) being surrounded by Aaravos's main connection but idk, it didn't matter but I thought it could have

ALSO THE STAVES. HELLO. AT THE STARSCRAPER I JUST

No Aaravos and Callum interaction is also smth I've made my peace about but after the trailer, especially the choice to use that thumbnail for it/as a promo image, idk, I am kind of sad I have to wait until S7 for any of that and now I wonder how significant it can really be/why hes gonna need callum as a puppet now if he's Out and as powerful as he seems to be. we just raised the stakes but had three entire seasons of building towards it, so how can s7 handle getting callum to do dark magic again, theoretical possession/aaravos use, coming back from that, ect, all within 9 eps?

tbh no one really had grief about sir sparklepuff being gone which I guess he wasn't a full Person in anyone's eyes and the focus was all on Claudia/her state which was fine, like we did get some of that nonverbally with Terry at least but we kinda moved right past it. like even one line in ep 9 from terry like "look what he had you do to his most recent child" would have made me go yeah exactly that Mattered but it wasn't there

in addition to no Callum at the wedding Ezran also just sat on Viren being back like idk I guess I wish he'd talked to Amaya more. like I loved him and Aanya I just feel there was room for Both

Listen I'm not one of the people only watching the show for Aaravos and I am delighted with the two episodes we got of him but that he was in more episodes in S3 than in S6 does have me like. cries. really. s4 and s5 i didn't mind in part because I figured stars would be big and it Was but im like oh my god. i got to ep 7 and was like is he REALLY not gonna get out which thankfully he did but only at the end

and the end was like. the biggest cliffhanger we've ever had and i get going for the suspense but it's KILLING ME MAN

I know Aaravos's motivation/goal but not exactly how his actions are leading to that whatsoever as he seems to play every side and doesn't even favor humans if he's willing to torch katolis. unbridled chaos i guess? is that it? I don't even know what to be afraid of next season with him except I'd presume he's going to Xadia next and will Somehow be getting back at the Cosmic Order but idk what the past thousand years have truly been for unless it's waiting around for the stars to align and throwing a fit while doing so

Runaan is out and he and Callum didn't get so much as a sentence between them and that and the Aaravos out but also no conversation double whammy just has me like

at the end of this all this was a more dramatic/cinematic season but it didn't have a lot of the smaller character reaction moments/balance the prior seasons all seemed to give me tbh and it took all season to lead up to highly anticipated events aka letting Runaan and Aaravos out but I didn't get any of the Payoff of that characterwise except for Runaan and Rayla and idk I do feel both like S6 had some of the best moments of the show and also really disappointed in places where it feels like it could have been so easy to have had just a Bit more cohesion and characters plugged into their overarching circumstances/dynamics more

like I think we had the time for it

and going into this expecting a penultimate season and then learning theres a third arc planned, it makes the pacing and lack of aaravos sort of make sense but also has me like, we may not even get that and now I feel like s7 will make or break the Entire show for me which is terrifying

like we got a lot of new info but it was largely not what I was expecting without touching on a lot of stuff I was hoping for and I AGH. i didnt expect this season to continue the build up train and I'm having a hard time accepting that it's the first time tdp has ever like. idk. thrown me such a curveball that it's gotten me honest to god upset which is on me and not the show, and i keep hoping i feel better but so much rides on s7 now
