hey everyone! I'm creating a dark knight joker community group on Tumblr! i noticed an appalling lack of a fanclub even though so many of us do think he's cool.

I saw someone say that Jarley shippers try really hard to convince people (or convince ourselves??) that Joker isn't abusive.

No, we don't, actually. We simply understand that 2 horrible people (who are horrible with and without each other) harming each other does not result in one (1) party being the abuser.

Why are you so thirsty to defend a serial killer and make her seem like a victim? (I know why: It's because she has a vagina.)

And before you idiots say, "He turned her bad!!"

No. He didn't. Harley was never a good, or even decent, person. She also thought being a criminal sounded "glamorous," but I can't find that panel.

And even if they did have a one-sided abusive relationship, and Harley wasn't a horrible person... Okay? And? They're fictional characters, Karen. It is never that serious. Take off your Puritan "IT'S A BAD INFLUENCE" hat. It is never a writer's or fan's job to water down stories because you let TV and books raise your kids.

It has occurred to me that Harley Quinn could sue the fuck out of Arkham Asylum for placing her in an unsafe working environment and causing irreparable damage to her mental health, and I'm mad as fuck. And like why would you not require the employees there to undergo psych evaluation?! They're working with murderers, rapists, etc -- you think that's not gonna get to them a little bit?! And why would you not do background checks on your employees given the crime rates in Gotham?!
