Private headcanon about Kaz that i keep shoving aside myself so i can keep continuing shipping vkaz lol: 

Big Boss was Kaz' FP that he dedicated his life to.

Kaz started splitting on him the moment Venom showed up. Because Big Boss had changed in a way Kaz couldn't put his finger on, but he felt the rage and didn't know where it came from and it drives him nuts

When the plot about BBs phantom gets revealed to him all his worst fears about abandonment come true at once and his world crashes. But he finally knows where the rage is coming from

The geography teacher outfit and the refusal to get proper prosthetics are his ways of broadcasting his suffering. He gets over it eventually when his need to become Sarah Connor takes over and he is fueled with new power to finally do something about the Big Boss situation (train Snavid)

Also the textbook symptom of his sexual behaviour in PW. Trying to combat the feeling of emptiness and lack of belonging by -------- (don't want to go as far as calling it unhealthy or sh because he's allowed to like sex. It's just a common symptom).

is that piece of media actually bad, or is it just not following the blueprint you projected onto it? is that work actually not good, or are you just demanding something from it that is absolutely antithetical to its themes, genre, tone, and narrative goal? is that story actually poorly written, or do you just dislike that it is not the specific things you wanted from it that it never set out to be, never was, and never is going to become? is it actually bad, or is it actually well-executed and you just dislike the story it chose to be because it isn't catering to your specific desires and expectations?
