hi all!

i'll make a proper pinned post one of these days, but since i've been getting a lot of asks lately, i thought i'd lay down some ground rules:

My Ask Box is CLOSED while i rest from artblock

This is not an ask blog or RP blog for my AU characters, if I draw responses to asks/reblogs, it's because i WANT to, but it is not a guarantee that i will do so all the time

I am not taking art requests or commissions at the moment.

It will take me a while to respond to asks 😅 and sometimes i just have no idea how to respond

No unsolicited nsfw asks/messages—i’m an adult, but i’m not comfy discussing nsfw topics with people i don’t know too well

Asks with nothing but a link will be deleted

Rude and/or spamming* asks will be deleted and the users will be blocked—if you meant it in a "friendly" way then let's be friends first! cuz it's kinda uncomfy when a stranger sends you rude messages or repeated messages, yknow? *spamming as in: sending the exact same ask multiple times

I will not be responding to asks that I'm not comfortable with answering, or if I feel like my response could potentially make someone feel uncomfortable

#hawks #mha hawks #bnha hawks #takami keigo #keigo takami #bnha #bnha fanart #mha #mha fanart #spoilers #bnha spoilers #mha spoilers #it's not very positive lol i don't really like the way his character ended 🥲#i think his hero worship for endeavor blinded him from seeing or doing anything that could make a difference #i was so let down when he didm't have any sort of critique or moral dilemma after the touya reveal #and just immediately supported endeavor--it made me think he wss incapable of being critical of his idol.#only further underscored with the way he remembers his endeavor plushie while he defends the rabking system.#like. he thinks about his childhood toy of his hero while he defends the system that ultimately caused that ''hero'' to ruin his family.#so blinded by that pedestal that he unironically thinks about the BIGGEST example of why the ranking system does NOT work #WHILE he defends said system.#he was introduced as this morally complicated guy and instead of his childhood worship of a flawed guy making him more interesting #by having him really THINK about what it means that his hero inadvertently created a super villain #he was instead flattened into an endeavor fan boy. and even tho he was introduced as a guy w a complicated bg of #villainous father + harshly trained by the HPSC from a young age he still doesn't do very much with the system of which he's gained charge.#if he thought of the plushie as a memory of what it meant to have a symbol of hope in his hands it's like...#hawks... abolishing the ranking system wont stop merch and news articles and good PR from happening...#anyways yeah. he was one of my faves for a really long time but the way he ends... i dont like that guy.#that being said him becoming president of the HPSC isnt smth i hate even tho idve given him a vacay and his sought-after free time.#and i like that he brings a katana around now. i tried to make the projection make it look like his epilogue self has wings.#oh and i hated the tiny epilogue panel that made it look like endeavor replaced his entire set of kids. :) just. absolutely loathed it. :))

Like musical Beej and Adam except less perverted and more flirty/sappy? I was an odd kid- okay? 🥲#Anyway… the old design didn’t really do much to show off her personality… so I ended up upheaving the whole thing #It was okay for what I knew at the time- but I know what I was trying to say then and now I have the knowledge to say it better #Also— the reason I gave her horns here is so silly.#When I was younger I was in a Christian school where I wasn’t allowed to draw witches-ghosts-demons-etc.#So even though I based her on the Dante girls… I refused to give her horns because I thought that was ‘too sinful’#I even remember having so much guilt while looking for references of the Dante workers #I couldn’t even look for more than five seconds!#Anyways… she really pushed the boundaries for me at the time and it’s fun to see how I’ve changed and grown since then.

why is so much of sewing just tracing and cutting and tracing again q_q i see why people get projectors and use adobe illustrator now

#drawing up a design that i can easily pattern from my sloper: 😊#actually having to make the pattern by tracing and cutting ad infinitum: 😰#piecing together printer paper to get a big enough sheet of paper and doing this ten million times: 🥲😭#not to mention the IRONING.... prewashing the fabric and having to iron 8 yards of fabric???? excuse me????#and then distorting it as i iron bc it has a slight stretch and i got so tired i stopped being careful 2 yards in #and the way that you're supposed to press every seam... excuse me... am i just supposed to have my iron heated and on standby at all times #AND THE STEAM??? i just got stay tape the other day and thought it'd be a neat alternative to stay stitching #BUT IT NEEDS STEAM TO ACTIVATE (which okay makes sense) BUT long story short i'm too afraid to use the steam function #on my iron because none of us are sure if water should go back into a tank that's been in disuse for 30+ years #so instead i get this water spray pen and delicately spray down the length of each piece of stay tape #before i cover it with a piece of gauze and iron it. and then i have to iron it extra so all the water actually evaporates #oh and the spray pen holds as much water as half a pen so i have to walk to the kitchen every 10 sprays to refill it #and i have to do this for every curved edge on my pattern pieces #i mean the alternative is just stay stitching but then i would have to calibrate my settings for a single layer of fabric instead of double #which means i have to switch my needle out more and i'm still new enough that sometimes i install a needles wrong despite going through #all the same exact motions that i usually would. i'm LITERALLY suffering out here. anyway can't wait to sew or whatever #oh and did i mention i went to a sewing meetup recently? yeah...#everyone there bought like $30-$100/yard fabric and i was there awkwardly knowing i only buy like $12/yard fabric #honestly though i have the opposite problem people usually joke about. i find it So hard to find fabric i actually like #it needs to be the right fiber + right color + right pattern/texture + right weight + i have to know exactly what i'm going to make with it

Been thinking for sometime after spending my days mostly resting in bed and reading fics, but... the swsh fandom really does have one of the best ao3 writers for me :o

#you may ask why it won compared to pla who also have god-tier fic writers dabbling in ao3. that's a good point and i'm still mulling over it #but i think what narrows it down is that there are more writers writing about various characters compared to just a few of them in swsh :o #this is just my pure and fairly new observation since i'm really only 1 year into pokemon as a fandom though! i could totally be wrong here #because i haven't had the time to dive deeper into the ao3 tags and such #but i appreciate that i can find good fics about side characters like melony and opal. or even less-sought after relationship like gen fics #for milo nessa kabu or bede rose. you can almost find anything character/relationship fics that you want with decent writing in swsh #while i can't say the same for pla sadly :'))) i want to read more stuff about gaeric teaching irida or how iscan was chosen as a warden #but only 1-2 fic writers wrote about them as the side characters as the main ones... 🥲 am i bad at diving into ao3 or is it just like that #like. i recently found a fic about leon being visited by the older gym leaders post-eternatus and gawd. i never knew i needed it so much???#that was when i realized that the swsh fandom really do love their gym leaders to bits that even the fics for the side characters are good!#this is just a passing thought though. don't take this too seriously 😅#personal

disillusionment w my job vs heavy fear that messing up my paycheck will blow the household financials up

#even if i got a job that paid the same or better... the weekly paycheck clutches so hard #but now that I'm back on printing i just feel rot 😭 i felt so stupid today and it reminded me of every day before school season #where i also felt stupid every day #and i just ... don't want to feel like that anymore! the past year has been a blur bc work is so 💢 and it does concern me #i want to go back to school so bad 🥲 i dont just want to speedrun a certification and get in the classroom... i want to have a degree!#and be actually engaged in it and Learn things.. i remember nothing from my aa 💃🏻 my only skills rn are like. customer service and ms #office 😑 what!!! what!!!#need to become stronger and more employable and learned but. at what cost 👤#my big other concern is that printing is so draining that i only have enough spoons to get myself home and then it's decomposition time..#so the thought of driving to voice lessons for auditions is.. a very tiring one.. much less actually rehearsing or studying or doing #anything 😑 the rot!!! the rot!!!#i just need to get through this year + speedrun my parents' divorce. 2024 will be the year things begin happening #*2025.. see this is what i mean!! 😭😭#sriracha.txt

#so i went to the hairdresser's in september to get a trim after over a year of having NOTHING done to my hair #it was in suuuuuuuuch a poor condition but i loved how long it had gotten so i suffered through the summer #i just wasn't ready to say goodbye to my mermaid hair 🥺#(i should've got it done in the spring but didn't because. well. life i guess lol i wasn't feeling very well maybe)#and so when i finally went to get it done i asked the hairdresser to cut only what was necessary #fair enough i went home only to notice absolutely NOTHING had happened 🙃#i thought i could live with it until maybe later in the winter but i was getting so frustrated with how lifeless and tangled my hair was 😭#so i booked a new appointment at a different hairdresser (a new one has just opened near me)#and aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh my hair looks and feels SO much more healthier now!! 😭 nearly teared up at the hairdresser's feeling my new hair 😂#but at the same time i'm a bit 🥲 because it's quite a bit shorter now 🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲#it's not short per se but aaaahhhh I'm having a minor identity crisis lol (no i'm not i'm just being dramatic 💅)#but it's definitely better this way. i love my hair and i'm never ever letting it get in such a terrible condition ever again 🤧#also i'm not going back to that other place again because it wasn't the first time the same person had done barely anything to my hair 🤨#i mean. i guess they just did what i had asked but...#with all the other hairdressers there's never been any problem when i told them to ''only take what's needed''#i guess she was just too cautious to take TOO much of the length of my hair but gurl what's the point if you only take like 1 cm 😐#with ''what's needed'' i obviously mean ''enough so i won't have to come back here next month'' :\#anyway! i'm happy and keep sniffing my hair (and giving myself a headache in the process) because the products they used smell so nice 💖#pointless ramblings hi yess i'm bored by theflyingfeeling
