the nyc jazz record is such high quality. not just "for a free newspaper" but even compared to some paid ones. if you see it, definitely pick one up even if you're not already a jazz fan. it has a huge amount of information, including a very thorough list of musical performances for every single day of the current month (>15 shows for each day of the month, spanning all price points), and an additional list of events within 100mi of the city limits. one of the most useful things of all imo is the "club directory", because it not only provides the address, but the subway directions as well, to many many different locations (not just clubs). oh and all that on top of tons of articles and reviews on jazz artists and albums, and interviews with artists. all of that for free. insane

CHEF AUBERGINE - This is one of Fletch's! She's a yeti-type thing I guess?? She was a peaceful person until her husband randomly tried to kill her one day, and forced her to murder him out of self-defense. Now she always carries a giant knife and hates most men!

I have like nothing for Philosopher Bone but he'll probably be something cliche like a skeleton dinosaur lol

DON'T READ THE EPISODES UNTIL YOU FINISHED THE FIRST BOOK!!

Logico takes a train back home. The conductor dies, and the train is now going by itself. Everyone screams for their lives.

LOGICO: NOBODY PANIC! I am going to solve this crime! PERSON: WHAT ABOUT THE TRAIN, YOU IDIOT?!

But no, Logico has more important stuff to do. He meets Vice Principal Mauve, Chef Aubergine, and Philosopher Bone. 

MAUVE: Want to step into my metaverse? LOGICO: No thank you.

Instead of doing something normal, Logi judges people’s luggage.

LOGICO: I hate leather! Ugh, why would you want to wear SOMEONE ELSE’S SKIN?? BONE: Get to the point… MAUVE: We can’t stand here forever.

Logico finds that Mauvie has a newspaper with a crowbar inside, which is super sus - this bitch with the VR headset reading a PHYSICAL NEWSPAPER? He really thinks it’s her, but then… 

LOGICO: I FORGOT AN IMPORTANT DETAIL! [frantic pointing] STAB WOUNDS! 

Logi figures it out. Maybe it's the woman with the giant knife?

AUBERGINE: I SHOULD HAVE COOKED YOU, DETECTIVE LOGICO!

But they can’t do anything, because the train flies off the track into a gorge, and everyone is critically injured and a bunch of unnamed people die.

The end!
