so I went to see family for the Big Game yesterday bc it's a good excuse to visit and we were all wrapping up for the night, everyone had gone to bed, and I got out of the shower, ready to sleep, and I saw that no one had cleaned up their mess before going to bed. Fuckin nacho cheese Nidoritos and cheddar and sour cream Girafaridgies chips and sour cream and onion Tangelays potato chips and the bones of Tauros sauce covered Pidgey wings and the fancy Vermillion City sharp cheddar cheese dip and a billion cans of Fuecoca-cola and Dr. Wooper soda and Budew-Light beer and just. So much trash that everyone abandoned. Despite there being a vacuum of a Zorua and a bottomless pit stomached Espurr in the house. And I, the person with sensory issues bc autism, had to clean up all the wet and sticky and flavour dust covered foods and wipe down the tables and wash the bowls and put away the leftovers bc otherwise my gluttonous pokemon WILL eat until they explode. I am charging for my services

So I got into a whole thing about weather or not pecharunt’s mochi are vegan (it wasn’t an argument) and, uh… I decided that this was better off here than as a YouTube comment.

I’m about to ramble about some really weird philosophical questions now, weird because it’s about Pokémon.

“It does raise an interesting question though. These mochi would be an animal product, which is what veganism tries to exclude, HOWEVER, the reason they exclude animal products is because animal cannot give consent to humans using them. This Pokémon offering the mochi it has made itself with its own poison secretions mixed in, even with the ulterior motive, is from a consenting animal and is thus vegan. Humans though, are also animals, and taking advantage of them would be breaking an animal’s consent, unless the person taking it was fully aware of possible consequences and made the decision outside of the manipulation of the Pokémon. Then it would not be a violation of consent. A human consuming a drink that was drugged without their knowledge is technically not vegan? but in a very convoluted way, and the non-vegan part of it doesn’t apply to the victim because it’s the perpetrator who has broken consent. This is similar to pecharunt’s actions. Vegans, for the most part, understand that animals do not function with the same understanding of consent, and that is part of why they avoid breaking any consent of others, it’s because humans are capable of understanding it and affording it to others. Removing a tapeworm would not be non-vegan though because the entire philosophy is about going as far as is possible and practicable, meaning that you are able to defend yourself. Since animals are exempt from following this philosophy because they don’t have the same understanding of consent and do not have a choice when it comes to what they consume, are Pokémon exempt from this as well? Pokémon seem to have a better understanding and communication of and with humans than real life animals, so do the rules now apply? If the Pokémon isn’t vegan this leaves only the hypothetical vegan human, making the question about only one half of this scenario, but what if the Pokémon considered the philosophy as well? The pokemon's philosophy and actions would not impact the human side of things in this question though.”

ultimately, coming back to this after several days (I forgot about this post and then saw it again and started thinking about the question once more) I think that, from the human side of things, the answer is "Probably? The Pokémon is the one offering and Pokémon do usually seem to have a similar intelligence level to the in game humans, so their consent is comparable to a human's, assuming the Pokémon is a smart one." from the Pokémon side of this, "Usually, no" since the Pokémon is drugging someone and thus they cannot give informed consent to anything. <- that paragraph was an update

That is what was said by myself. I don’t actually remember where I was going with this. It was originally just going to be a hypothetical about weather or not the mochi would be vegan but now I’m wondering if Pokémon could understand the philosophy and choose to be vegan. This is not something that is possible in this world, but in that one… not only that but humans in that universe are technically Pokémon, if I remember correctly. So humans being vegan would mean that some Pokémon already are. This is comparable to humans being an animal though, in my opinion.

The fact that my phone keeps changing it to weather and I don’t actually remember the correct spelling is pissing me off because I’m almost certain it’s spelled differently and is a different word >:(

I love phantump conan au bc it's adorable but also bc of all the implications for canon cases where Shinichi is involved. Instead of "Kudo Shinichi's not here bc we couldn't get in touch with him" it's "Kudo Shinichi's not here bc he's dead." KID can't disguise as him without getting immediately caught, nobody's gonna invite someone whose dead to a party rhey cant come, the Shiragami case is completely messed up plotwise bc spoiler reasons and also Ran's gonna punch the culprit in the face, there are so many changes that result when you shift one (1) detail and that's what makes aus in general so fun - whatc changes? Also the implications of Haibara's situation is interesting to me bc I doubt the BO is gonna look at a pokemon for their missing human researcher - especially considering that espurr is not a ghost type. Even if they do the idea of the FBI having to offer witness protection to a pokemon amuses me.

Assigning Cat Pokémon to the Nekoma Players

Kuroo - Meowscarada Saw it's official art and instantly thought of this scene from Summer of Evolution, take one look at that dramatic mf and tell me Kuroo wouldn't want one instantly. They're both tricky guys who bait their opponents into attacking before pulling the rug out from under them. The smug aura is off the charts.

Kai - Delcatty Calm and nonconfrontational but reliable, both of these guys are relatively normal compared to everyone else but well loved by those around them. Delcatty's pokedex entry in sapphire says it just moves away instead of fighting, much like how Kai leaves Yaku and Kuroo to do their thing when their fights get heated

Yaku - Zeraora Quick, nimble, powerful— these two are both incredibly strong despite their size. You can always count on them to get there in time. I wasn't gonna give anyone mythicals or legendaries but if anyone deserves it it's Yaku.

Tora - Incineroar Obviously Tora gets the Litten line, its mid evolution is literally called Torracat. Can you name a pokemon with more guts than the big manly WWE tiger?? I didn't think so. They're both shouting constantly and hyping themselves up while also being supportive towards the people around them. Loudest mfs in the room but you love them nonetheless.

Kenma - Meowstic Knew I wanted to give Kenma a psychic type since he's all about mind games and Meowstic was the perfect canidate. The both play more of a supporting role on the team but can be super agressive, all with a blank face. Also they have similar vibes visually.

Fukunaga - Meowth The natural choice since both are based on maneki-neko, look at the joy and whimsey!! Silly little guys who's eyes sparkle when they get excited.

Inuoka - Boltund The sole dog among a sea of cats, bros just happy to be included. Decided on Boltund because of it's boundless energy, they can keep going for days without loosing a sweat. Also look at it's little smile!! Very Inuoka indeed.

Lev - Luxio (?) I'm conflicted on this one but I don't know what else to go with (curse you Lev for being an enigma). It's abilities are rivalry and intimidate, much like how Lev picks a fight with like half his team + hinata and how his height intimidates most people he comes across. I went with Luxio over Luxray since he still has a lot of room to grow but he's a determind guy with big aspirations (again, this one is a strech lol).

Shibayama - Litleo Like Lev I chose the preevolution because Shibayama has a lot to live up to, what with Yaku being the current libero. Small, cute, and reliant on his teammates for now but one day he'll step out from of the shadow of his predecessor and become his own player

Teshiro - Espurr I know this is technically a repeat since I gave Kenma Meowstic but c'mon, just look at that cold, dead stare. Blank-faced dudes with more internal struggles than meets the eye.

- chien-pao. he came across it while in the arctic. it had been injured and he tended to it throughout the duration of his trip. by the time it came for him to return home, the chien-pao refused to leave his side.

- not much of a battler, so he had no need for a party. there are several that stick around his home that he occasionally feeds.

- 10/10 ancient beast

- chi-yu. fire fish (x2). another mythological pokemon, BUT i feel this one is especially fitting considering they’re both from ancient times.

- I would’ve said corviknight but that mf is like 7’ tall. so I’m giving him a fighting type: lucario.

everything below is pure headcanons, there's no lore in tnmn (this seems obvious to me, but I saw someone write something like that, so whatever)

I'll start with a headcanon, in my understanding, doppelgangers are essentially shapeshifters who can create muscles, veins, skin, bones, hair, some external organs (the eyes are an organ) and even objects like clothing and accessories, and everything to be indistinguishable from a person, but the main disadvantage is that they can only do this by looking at a specific example, they cannot “come up” with anything of their own, and all the differences are unintentional errors, because everyone’s capabilities are different

and Kys is a doppelganger, but an exception to the rule, he is not the most outstanding in physical abilities, but he can manipulate his body at his own discretion, even since the doppels were not taught (I don’t think that the doppels were taught to “create” a working tail, specifically as a construction of vertebrae and muscles)

+ the fact that he does it very quickly and is not stupid himself

so not stupid that he chose the option of replacing a person (directly the person Kys) in order to join society and have a better chance of surviving

Of course, one can wonder how the double ended up in the position of doorman, but firstly, he simply does not know that DDD comes out of the project because of which they exist, and secondly, yes, he simply does not feel sorry for his own kin, because the one who adapts better can survive (the function of which they were trained), + doppels eat doppels (this is just survival, not hatred, he has his own squad of doppels)

and thirdly, such a choice, because the work is dangerous, and there are not many candidates, this is probably the easiest way to earn money, considering that human Kys is only 18 years old, + trust, how a doppelganger can be a doorman who has to catch doppelgangers

и Кысь это доппельгангер, но исключение из правил, он не самый выдающийся физическими способностями, но может манипулировать своим телом по своему усмотрению, даже так как двойников не учили (не думаю что двойников учили "создавать" рабочий хвост, именно как конструкция из позвонков и мышц)

+ то что он делает это очень быстро и сам не глупый

настолько не глупый, что выбрал вариант заменить человека (непосредственно человека Кыся) что бы влиться в общество и иметь более большие шансы выжить

конечно можно задаться вопросом как двойник оказался на посту швейцара, но во-первых, он элементарно не знает что ДДД выходит из проекта из-за которых они существуют, во-вторых, да, ему просто не жалко своих собратьев, потому что выживает тот кто лучше приспосабливается (функция которой их обучали), + двойники едят двойников (это просто выживание, а не ненависть, у него есть своя банда допелей)

и в-третих, такой выбор, потому что работа опасная, а кандидатов не много, это вероятно самый простой способ зарабатывать, учитывая что Кысю человеку всего 18 лет, + доверие, как доппельгангер может быть швейцаром, который должен отлавливать доппельгангеров

Why do espurrs look so traumatized? Like, the poor things look like they’ve seen the heat death of the universe

i mean, if you had the energy to explode everything in a 100m radius, you'd look like that too

really though, it's just a side effect of how big their eyes are and having a relatively flat skull. we don't exactly know why their eyes are so big; some researchers theorize that, because their ears are usually folded tight over their psychic organs and they have poor hearing as a result, they evolved larger eyes to compensate with better vision. it just has the unfortunate side effect of making them look...well.

i got a ton of asks in my inbox so im just going to put all of them here so i don't spam u guys with it haha

this is really the only guy i use. felt pen on clip studio is excellent for the sketchier style i like! when it comes to coloring i just use a basic solid brush !

i imagine they do, and they each get assigned a baby (tanjiro with giyuu, inosuke with sanemi, and zenitsu with obanai) but it lasts for barely a day. inosuke has no idea what hes doing and obanai cant stand zenitsu

tengens wives find the situation hysterical but they help out however they can. ofc they all fight over tengen. they love helping out with the kiddies but they especially enjoy taking care of the younger ones-- they think mui, mitsuri, and shinobu are adorable! tengen definitely tries to flirt with them but hes a cringe fail ten year old

kanao, aoi, and the butterfly girls all help out as well. kanao and shinobu are typically glued together

shinjuro and senjuro are shocked to see rengoku (and obanai) and while shinjuro is pissed off at first, he can't Not take in his boys. senjuro and little obanai are super similar in nature so

urokodaki, tengen, and nezuko are worried but excited about giyuu's transformation. they're like lets freaking go. good childhood moment

and of course genya thinks the situation is hilarious and hes happy to get to spend time with his brother, although he's VERRRRY awkward. he's a bit avoidant at times but usually gyomei and tanjiro can talk him

aw thank you! to answer your question;; shinobu and gyomei basically spend time with him and are attentive to his wants/needs to help him recognize he does matter. rengoku and the others help with this! essentially love language stuff and affirmations and what not

ill be honest i totally forgot about this. yea! i would say the babies are only put in a very specific area of the manor and they deep clean it constantly. if they have a good amount of sick/wounded i imagine they have gyomei or etc take them in. im not sure! in my mind the hashira all rotate and babysit and etc

sanemi tries to make them laugh. he remembers his little siblings always cheering up when he would make silly faces and sounds, so he does that here

giyuu awkwardly pats the other baby's back/head and is like "there there" ... he remembers how sabito's hugs would make him feel better so he awkwardly hugs the other. most of the time obanai/sanemi stop crying purely bc they're confused as to why giyuu is hugging them

obanai would usually talk them out of it, but he can't do too much since he's restricted to baby babble. so instead, he will try to find one of their toys and "gift" it to them. ex giyuu was sobbing hysterically until obanai found his fox plushie and gave it to him

i think he would be a little awkward at first but he would get the hang of it. most of what he does is just keep them entertained and make sure they arent sick or hurt. though he eventually builds up the courage to ask if he can feed obanai. from that point on whenever muichiro is babysitting he's the one offering to feed him, though someone else has to make the bottle-- he doesn't know how to do that

Hands down, Obanai. Though I also feel really sad for Gyomei and Muichiro, and I think Tengen's story (what we know of it) is pretty sad. I don't like comparing traumas, though! but yeah. obanai is. wow. poor guy
