theres so many people still at the airport that we havent been seeing, not to mention the vampires who will turn back if it works, someones gonna catch that girl
it also reminds me a lot of kunikida 'sacrificing' himself with aya back in ch 40 where we first see her.
and they were fine then.
aya will be saved!! im manifesting!!
maybe its time for kenji and tecchou to wake up from their nap lol, one of them can catch her.
OR
she manifests her ability. c'mon she has to have one, she's named after an author for a reason.

Right anyway BSD 117 spoilers theories ahead
Yeah no, neither Kunikida nor Teruko are permanently dead. That's not happening. The fact God Fukuchi sucked them up more or less adds to this theory; they're being 'stored' somewhere, possibly for hope of later use, but when they defeat this thing they'll be back.
Aya's Ability is happening either next chapter or very soon. "You must become the knight" who?? Yeah.
Bram on the other hand IS perma-dead. Sorry Aya.
Time travel. They're gonna beat Amenogozen via time travel. The world has already ended once in 55 Minutes and they saved it via time travel - I don't think it's gonna be the same way, but there's no way Asagiri can have SSKK beat this 'divine being' otherwise without making any future stakes basically moot.
Tanizaki's backstory is coming soon. You don't get that expression out of him for nothing. The sword above his head COULD mean he's about to die but the fact that the chapter ended like that makes me think there's gonna be a bit more there than just killing him. Seeing him get this violently angry for Kunikida is a perfect opportunity.
SSKK's Abilities fusing to become a Singularity has been bought up multiple times; that's gonna happen now.
Fukuzawa's dying for real by the end of this arc, or he's gonna step down as Agency President.
This isn't exactly a theory, but we now have another example of Abilities 'outliving' their users in the form of Bram.
Aya's gonna help SSKK defeat Fyodor, I think. This arc has been leading up to her taking a larger role in this conflict specifically, especially now that Bram's for-real dead. While I do think this arc is setting up to have SSKK face a threat without any of their senior's aiding or backing them, Aya is different bc she's not their senior. Possibly they will defeat Amenogozen and she'll aid in defeating Fyodor himself.

BSD 110: An Absurdist Analysis
The fate of Aya Kōda
Since my post analyzing BSD 109 in accordance with Asagiri's absurdist storytelling got so much love, I've decided to continue analyzing the chapters thru an absurdist lens when I deem it relevant, and making predictions accordingly. I think that not only is it an effective way of reading BSD, it gives us readers a bit more hope that things will turn out okay when the plot is... like it is right now (lol).
I recommend checking out my BSD 109 post if you haven't already this since I explain the philosophy of the absurd in depth there :)
BSD 110 spoilers below!! Obviously! Also TW for discussion of suicide.
So. I really don't think the ten year-old girl is going to die.
On top of Aya being "the last hope" (more on that later), suicide is one of those things that absurdists really frown upon.
Aya's plan as I understand it right now is to add her weight to the table in order to pull the sword from Bram's body, this is why she jumps. If this works, the sword will be dislodged and she, the sword and the table would fall to the ground, which is very far below -- she would likely die upon impact.
Absurdists really don't like suicide as a solution to hopeless situations, most absurdist storytellers have their characters commit suicide because they have "given up". It's submission, giving into the meaninglessness of our reality rather than rebelling against and embracing the absurd.
We see this with Oda in Dark Era, his suicide mission is framed as him giving up on life because the orphans were killed. Of course, it also served as catalyst for Dazai's character development, compelling him to escape a situation that would have likely ended up in his own eventual suicide. All this to say that even though Asagiri chose to make Oda go on a suicide mission, the overall narrative purpose still lent itself to absurdism through Dazai's decision to defect. It needed to happen for the story to move forward as it has (and as we know from BEAST, there literally cannot be a universe in which both Oda and Dazai are alive).
So, if Aya dies now, what message does this send? It's almost certain that the world will literally end if she does, meaning that everyone's efforts up until this point have all been for naught, which, as I explained in my BSD 109 post, is the opposite of the entire point of BSD as an absurdist text. Aya is really the "last hope" right now, with all our other main characters pretty much screwed or just not present.
"Nothing is impossible for a warrior of justice. We beat the bad guys and save the world, no matter what happens."
What Aya says right here is something I'd liken to the Dazai quote I brought up with my BSD 109 analysis: "The ones who actually make the world turn are those who scream within the storm of uncertainty and run with flowing blood." Both communicate the idea that there's never an acceptable point in time to give up (suicide), that there's always something more that you can do, even when things seem bleak. Those who "make the world turn" are one in the same with Aya's concept of "warriors of justice."
Aya may not succeed exactly the way we expect her to, but she absolutely is not dying like this. On top of the absurdist storytelling reasons, she's just a child. Of course, we know Asagiri isn't above killing kids, but Aya is a bit different than the other children we've met in BSD. Her character has been built up and developed, she has a fleshed-out backstory, and we've spent a lot of time with her. To kill off a little girl we've come to care about a lot would just be cruel, plus her death wouldn't really serve a narrative purpose right now.
So, what could happen?
One prediction is that Aya adding her weight to the table does dislodge the sword and she falls, but she is saved by another character. We know Kenji and Tecchou are out there right now, we haven't seen Yosano or Kyouka in ages, etc. etc.. Basically, there are definitely people out there that could come to her rescue.
But there's an option I like a lot better: Aya's ability manifests.
Aya Kōda was a 20th century Japanese novelist and essayist, and the namesake for the Aya we know in BSD. As far as we know, all the characters who are named after real-life authors possess an ability inspired by the life/work of said author. Aya doesn't have an ability yet, so logic follows that she will develop one by the end of the series.
I'm not sure where I read this, so take it with a grain of salt, but I believe that in BSD the character's abilities manifest because of trauma. Not only does Aya live in a somewhat emotionally abusive household, but she's literally been thrust into the middle of a conflict in which the world could literally end and has decided to jump off of a tall building to try to save the world -- I'd say that's pretty traumatizing!
I'm not familiar with the irl Aya Kōda's works enough to speculate about what her ability would actually do, but there's a decent chance that because of the current situation, her special ability will manifest in order to prevent her from dying and/or dislodge the sword from Bram. This would also fit absurdist storytelling very well, she's literally doing jumping off a building as a complete last ditch effort, it's a crazy plan that probably won't work -- but her other option is to just accept death, and that's not acceptable. If she were to manifest her ability in this moment, it would reinforce the idea that rebelling against the absurd has value, that even when things seem at their worst there's always something you can do.
Anyway, these are just my thoughts! Please feel free to add anything you find relevant, especially if you're familiar with Aya's irl counterpart! See you next month ;)
Here's the BSD 110 translation I pulled the panels from.

Outside of Elijah/Klaus (cause there was absolutely 0 reason both of them died), which character in all of TVDU do you think had the most unnecessary/dumb death?
Honestly Klaus and Elijah aren't even in my top. Yes, both of them dying was dumb, but there are so many other death's that were more unnecessary. At least Elijah and Klaus made it to the end of TO.
Some honorable mentions: Hayley, Tyler, Gia, Josh, Enzo, Jo, Lexi, Sophie, Eve, Jesse, Aaron, Aya, Jackson, all of the hybrids, Carol, Henry, Celeste (first time), Genevie (first time and kind of second time). I'm sure there are more.
But my most unnecessary/dumb death is Cami O'Connell.
There was zero reason for her to die and it was because she wasn't meant to die. I firmly believe she was meant to be the school psychologist in Legacies. It would have made so much sense for her to be there for Hope after Hope lost so much of her family. It also would have allow a woman on the show to have a happy ending that wasn't centered around a man. Her happy ending would have been watching over Hope and helping all of the supernatural children, fulfilling her family's destiny.
Cami still had so much of a story left to tell. She was so young and full of promise. She lost her entire family due to the supernatural world and then was forced into it herself. If anyone in TO is a parallel to Elena, it is Cami. Her family legacy was so entrenched in the supernatural that it was only a matter of time before she herself was pulled into it.
Even her death made no sense. Lucien wanted to hurt Klaus for 'stealing' Aurora from him, but at that point, Lucien had the ability to kill Klaus. Sure, maybe he wanted him to suffer, so why not go after Hope? She was out in the bayou essentially unprotected (let's be honest, what could Mary have done?).
Even if we accept Lucien wanted to make it even by taking away Klaus' love, how did they not save her? Like two days later the entire Mikaelson gang is bitten and Freya just magically thinks of a way to freeze them and save them all? They couldn't have thought of that a little quicker? It's funny how they always manage to think of life saving magic when the plot/Mikaelsons require it, but there's no other options when it comes to sacrificing other characters.
Even if we accept that she died, they really didn't even make an effort to bring her back? Davina was able to be brought back from the dead after her soul was shredded. I know the other side was gone at that point, but let's not pretend the show didn't just bring back characters with very little rhyme or reason. The Mikaelsons didn't even attempt to find a way to bring her back.
And no one even say it was to help Klaus' character development. I hate when women are killed to further a man's development. It was clear in the writing that Klaus still needed Cami for his development. He was just at the brink of trying to be a better person, he was nowhere near done. We can clearly see this in the amount of scenes Hayley becomes ooc in order to be Cami for Klaus. Or Caroline coming in season 5, which made no sense, was clearly meant to be Cami.
Cami was an O'Connell and this meant something in New Orleans. People who claim her character was just a love interest were not watching. Her character was going to unite New Orleans. Not Hayley, not Hope, and definitely not the Mikaelsons. Every faction adored her. Marcel and Vincent loved her and would have done anything to keep her safe. The Mikaelsons each loved her outside of her relationship with Klaus. She would have always been a mother figure to Hope, no matter what her relationship was. Hayley loved her as well. We don't see her interact with the wolves too much but that's because they were largely forgotten in the writing. But every faction loved her and respected her. Her legacy was fixing the war in New Orleans. Which I love the writers just kind of dropped and everything magically go better when the Mikaelsons left, even though the war had been going on longer than the Mikaelsons were there.
The writers had not planned to kill her off but because of the toxicity of the fandom, they killed her off. This is just bad writing. They writers often cared more about ratings than the actual art of story telling and the show suffered because of it.
Thanks for the ask! What other deaths do you all think were unnecessary?

Spoilers for bsd and Crime and punishment ahead.
Why I don't think Fyodor is all he seems? As we've seen before in bsd Fyodor always fakes or hides the true nature of his ability. What we know is his ability is called Crime and Punishment. The ‘crime’ seems to be killing him, whether it be indirect or not, as we saw with Bram. And the punishment being turning into a kind of version of himself, or like a data transfer. His ability seems to function on being a kind of data stacking on individuals and their minds. We can see that because of Bram's oath, Fyodor has the restriction of not hurting Aya. Which leads to the theory that he is just a bunch of personalities stacked on eachother. What if riding the world of abilities isn’t his goal, since chapter 120, and leaving Atsushi there.
What even is his goal or grand plan? Religious ideals or his ability wouldn’t be the full reason for his crimes. What if he wants to rid abilities because the ability we were shown so far isn’t his full ability. I've had two theories on his ability before it was released. What everyone considers to be his actual ability, the one i explained above. Or a form of reincarnation cycle. When we saw what sigma was seeing, all of Fyodor’s memories, were they actually his memories? Were they past selves or reincarnations? What if he did a heavenly crime and his punishment was to be forever reincarnated as a punishment, and that's why he was enjoying his game with Dazai so much, there was a thrill of dying if his ability is ACTUALLY an ability. Think about it.
As we have seen when sigma got stabbed by Fyodor, he seemed to “fake” a sort of personality disorder. What if he wasn’t faking it? What if that was him remembering one of his past reincarnations. What if when he dies it's not because he was murdered and takes over someone’s body, it's a punishment for a crime he did, like I’ve said before. So that’s why he seems to want to get rid of abilities all together. He sees them as a curse, like his is.
But wouldn’t he, knowing Atsushi is the bookmark, need Atsushi to complete his goal? Why would he just leave him there? I say he likely realized that maybe he didn’t need Atsushi at all to achieve his goal, he already has Amenogozen. An entity in a different dimension. Something seemingly godly to people in the 3rd dimension. Fyodor also (technically) broke the 4th wall in the panel when he explains why Amenogozen would always succeed in battle against someone in the 3rd dimension. Or, maybe after achieving Amenogozen, he realized that maybe the world he is in isn’t the original one.
We know it was altered using the book, and we know that maybe “our” reality is considered the original, Kafka asagiri being the author of the “book,” and Atsushi, the “bookmark”, the main character. I believe Fyodor realized that his goal was pointless, but wanted to try to succeed and continue in making his current plan work, to become one on the 4th dimension, to “transcend” the dimension barrier, essentially becoming akin to a god on the 3rd dimension.

I don't think Akutagawa has lost his memories, neither do I think he's faking it, or doing it as a way to get Atsushi to react and get back on his feet.
In chapter 117, when Bram saves Aya from the airport wreckage, he says that he transferred his consciousness into Akutagawa's body when Fyodor's ability took over his own body, and that his ability would also die with him, his consciousness disappearing as a consequence. . The question is: we don't know what happens to a vampire who turns back into a human, nor whether all vampires were transformed back, or just Akutagawa, because Bram took his body. I don't believe that all vampires have become human, as Fyodor mentions that as long as he has Bram's body, the echoes of his ability would still exist, and he can still control everyone who has been turned into a vampire around the world, so it is likely that only Akutagawa was transformed into a human again (vampirism having disappeared along with Bram's consciousness), even if remnants of his transformation are still present in his body, like a vampire's durability. It is these vampiric remnants and characteristics that make me think that Akutagawa's sudden amnesia was caused by traces of Bram's soul/consciousness in his body.
When Bram dies, we see Akutagawa accepting his mission to protect Aya. Everything in the manga suggested that this was Akutagawa's own decision, and to a certain extent, it is, but it is quite likely that Bram's traits and characteristics remained in Akutagawa's body even after his death. This whole role of a "noble knight" was a striking characteristic of Bram, who always saw the current world as if it were still his time, and used terms from that same time to refer to everyone. Part of Bram's consciousness may have remained in Akutagawa's body along with the vampire characteristics, causing his consciousness to mix with Bram's consciousness, or be overwhelmed by it, which perhaps could have been the cause of his lack of consciousness, and memory. Something I found curious is that Akutagawa not only has protecting Aya (or the princess) as his mission, but also the commoners, something that was not included in Bram's order/request.
So where did the part about protecting the commoners come from? Is it something caused by Bram's influence? A part of Akutagawa's new (and probably temporary) knight persona? Or a wish of his own? His own desire to protect people?
Well, I don't know, but if that's the case, I can see a lot of ways this memory loss could really add something to Akutagawa's character arc. We know that he is someone who is truly true to his promises, and when Bram's consciousness and influence begin to dissipate from his mind, he will probably still remind that he promised to protect Aya, and will commit to fulfilling his promise. Being placed in the role of protecting someone, for Akutagawa, would be something really good, it would help him understand that he doesn't need to kill for his life to have meaning, that there is also value in protecting other people, that this is not necessarily linked to a failure (the last time he protected someone, they all got killed), and that there is something good about protecting and helping people. Finding a new reason to live would also help him get rid of the idea that the value of his life is linked to Dazai's approval of him. It's clear how he was using rashomon in a much more effective way in the last chapter compared to his other fights, so much that even Atsushi seems surprised. I believe this comes from the fact that Akutagawa learned (due to his life both on the slums and in the mafia) to use rashomon as a weapon, not as an extension of his own body, as a part of himself, in addition to that he does not need to use rashomon to fortify his body, which allows him to use rashomon more freely.
Other things that I think could have caused Akutagawa's amnesia are his transformation back into a human (dying, being turned into a vampire, and then back into a human again could definitely do some damage to anyone's brain), and Bram's promise to Aya to protect her, as we know that in Bsd promises can be kept even after someone has turned into a vampire (as we see with Akutagawa and his promise not to kill anyone). Bram's promise to Aya surpassed Dostoevsky's ability, causing Fyodor to create a great will to protect Aya, so it is not so impossible that it also surpassed Bram's death.

I'm pretty sure in the next chapter we'll see Akutagawa.
like you know how bsd has problems with showing Dazai making a mistake? Dazai gave Aku the mission that whenever he sees a signal, thats the time he should go help atsushi and together they should end the mastermind. And considering how the events of chapter 84-88 went that looked like Dazai made a mistake.
But again we see a signal flare in this chapter and we do know that there's going to be a sskk team up. This whole situation feels like more than just parallel to chapter 84. This feels like all the elements in the story lining up to show us Dazai wasn't wrong in telling Aku whenever he sees a signal that's the time to attack.. like this time for sure they can do it, and Dazai was right all along assigning Akutagawa that mission.
idk if that makes sense. Sorry, I can't explain things better >.<
No, it's perfectly fine!! I do agree that's how it's going to go… In the long run, that is. Bsd has revealed itself to be pretty unpredictable about what every chapter's pov is going to be (╥﹏╥) I'm sure Akutagawa will show up eventually, and I'm sure that has to do with the signal flare too, we just have to wait for when that is actually going to happen. I have hope for the next month! Tbh I find the theory that Aya is hallucinating Bram, and the person saving her to actually be Akutagawa pretty convincing. I agree the parallels between the last chapter and chapters 83-88 are striking, it's really cool. I've always - always, way before season 5 came out - supported the thematical importance of a rematch between sskk and Fukuchi, and it's so exciting to see it slowly become reality!!!
On the other hand, regarding Dazai possibly making a mistake by sending sskk to fight against Fukuchi the first time... It's a bit of a grim reading, but I don't think to Dazai sskk failed in their fight against Fukuchi, nor that Dazai made a miscalculation. For Dazai, it's like chess, you know? Sometimes you have to strategically sacrifice pieces, even strong ones, to ensure victory in the end. Sskk managed to stall Fukuchi long enough for Atsushi to escape and for the whole agency and their allies to apprehend Kamui's identity: that's probably good enough of a result for him. I think Dazai would have been upset if Atsushi had died, but Akutagawa dying... You know, it IS up for debate if that was Dazai's plan since the beginning. Maybe for Atsushi to survive at the price of Akutagawa dying was Dazai's plan since the beginning; on that note, the conversation between Akutagawa and Dazai from the flashback at the start of chapter 84 does feel a lot like a “I'm not going to give my life to save the were-tiger” “Oh, you'll save him. You know the reason yourself, don't you?” And you know, there's this sequence in the season 2 ending, and sometimes I wonder if that's exactly how it must go– if Akutagawa can only ever obtain Dazai's praise in death, because ultimately dying is what Dazai expects of him.

Stand by me
Judy Harmon x poc FEM reader
Summary: Judy is upset while you're cleaning but she can't help but get giddy as you're dancing to the music and begging her to dance with you
The words house wife never sat right with you never have and never will. Even if you're currently doing the duties of one... No man is worthy of that type of attention however your wife is worthy of it all even when she's annoyed and pissed off like she is today. You kiss on her face and down her neck trying to get a glimpse of a smile or a chuckle but nothing happens she's still frowning and drowning in her lack of sleep. A sigh escapes your lips as you plant one last kiss against her soft lips before returning to the kitchen to get your hands soaked in hot and bubble filled dish water. You never knew what made Judy so angry sometimes but you've learned not to ask because she was always so hesitant and always said it was best you didn't know. Stubborn but it's out of love. The silence of the room doesn't last for long because an all too familiar song plays on the radio and it leaves you smiling "that's your song J" Judy glances over at you and she can't help but smile seeing the big one on your face. "Come on Judy" you shake your hands off and wipe them on the rag wrapped around your waist "baby I don't feel like dancing" you approach her anyways smile still wide on your face as you do so and she's smiling ear to ear now. "I don't care" Judy smiles and slowly stands up "I know you don't come here" you're giddy when you grab hold of her by her face and gently peck her lips her hands sit on your waist keeping you close as she rocks to the music. You sing along and Judy hums to the familiar song.
So darlin', darlin', stand by me
You kiss Judy a bit more passionately now singing every time your lips disconnect to give her a bit of a shock you lick into her mouth and hum as you pull away.
If the sky that we look upon
Judy can't help but smile at you "what was I thinking when I bought a house with you?" You hums as you lay your head on her shoulder "I'm not sure maybe you think I look good cleaning or something."
Should tumble and fall
"Maybe I was thinking I love you" you hum and kiss her neck "do you now?" "You know I love you Y/n"
Or the mountains should crumble to the sea
"I know Judy. I know you love me"
I won't cry, I won't cry
No I won't shed a tear
Just as long as you stand
Stand by me
"I love it just as much when you stay home" you grab Judy's hand and lead her to her favorite room in the house. Your shared bedroom.
"Oh so that's what you been plotting you want me to stay home and love on you?" You smile slyly "love on me touch on me same thing? Yes?" Judy laughs as she loosens her hand from your grip and unbuttons your gown "same thing? No"
And darling, darling
Stand by me, oh stand by me
Oh stand now, stand by me
Stand by me

Re: Vought Rising
Okay, now that I've actually had some time to process this, here are my thoughts.
I still really think Kripke needs to get over his boner for Jensen and SPN. He is never going to have that again, get over it.
The show did, in fact, need to stop last season. S4 (save e4) has been one crushing disappointment after another. I don't trust him to handle certain things very well at all.
I don't understand why SB--who is just as bad as Homelander--is getting a show. Or the Nazi. He's made it very clear that we're not supposed to like the villains, going so far as to make the fan-favorite into a Trump analogue, so the reasoning behind this confuses me.
HOWEVER
I am so excited to see Aya Cash again. I love her so much, and I am praying fans can be normal to this time
I am dying to see who they cast as Chloe.
The fact that the show is going to be set in the 50s means that it's going to be difficult to make Stormfront Homelander's mom. I'm still not putting it past Eric "Let's make this as gross as we can for no reasons" Kripke, but I'm more hopeful.
Final verdict: I'm not happy it exists--not everything needs to be a Cinematic Universe--but I'll give it a shot. If it doesn't work, it doesn't work, and I'll be sad, but not surprised.

pls yap abt ur fave jojo part 🎤
yippeeeee ^_^ okay so from fav to least fav it's 5/6/4/2/3/1 to me 4 and 2 are interchangeable. I haven't finished part 6 yet I have only a few episodes left but I don't want it to be over so I keep putting off finishing it...
part 5 is my fav because I just love the main cast sososososososoooo much it's definitely the strongest main cast of any of the parts imo I find them all so interesting and compelling and it's hard to choose a fav (it's fugo tho. sobs dies etc) the relationships between the characters are so good as well...
also trish I LOVE trish. she's everything she's such an interesting character I do wish she had more moments like her first scenes where she's an annoying teen and I would've loveedddddd a scene where she lashes out at the rest of the cast and kind of hates them because of everything she's been through she's suddenly taken from her life and thrown into a world of violence and it's not fair and she should've been allowed to be mad about it!! she does have a lot of really good moments tho ofc the part where she awakens her stand and everything leading up to it (on that note spice girl should've been used more I can only think of maybe two instances where she was used??) and also another fav is in the cioccolata fight where she talks to narancia about bruno it's really nice characterisation for all of them + you see more of narancias blind faith in bruno that ultimately leads to his death. semi related naratrish is really cute guys . ... straight people rights.
another trish moment I am deeply obsessed with is the purple haze feedback bonus chapter which is her visiting brunos grave and speaking with his mother. makes me stupid emotional. her becoming a singer post canon is soooooooo important music is a pretty big theme in the relationships between the main cast most importantly in this case is when fugo says (roughly paraphrased) "how can you throw your life away for this girl you barely know, you don't even know what music she likes" (fun fact in phf fugo goes on to talk about how he's not too fond of women he hates his mother and he doesn't like trish 😭)
ANYWAYYY wait I'm gonna talk about music more because. I'm sick. so there's stuff like abbacchio having headphones on in the first scene we see him and narancia having a stereo on the boat and then ofc the torture dance... it's fun and silly but also it's like. they're just kids. sobs. music is their thing all the characters have a listed favourite artist all the stands are named after music!!! and then my fav part this scene in phf .
so yeah trish becoming a singer is both a connection with her mother because they used to sing together and connection with the people who died so she would have a chance to live and a chance to move from her father's influence and have a bright future. I do wonder if she stays in contact with the survivors post canon I like to think she does with mista at least. maybe not giorno at first because that's all too raw and also I think he would discourage contact between them for her safety but maybe eventually. also another trish scene I like (well. She's not actually present for it) is right before the finale where bruno is dying and he can't tell people apart and he talks to doppio thinking it's trish and he promises her she can stay in his house if she has nowhere to go because he knows he won't make it home and he never does and she wasn't even there to hear him say that to her. sobs. I saw a hc that post canon she gets a tattoo around her wrist of a zipper in memory and I really like that idea
also it's insane to me that she is the ONLY female character in part 5. What? Huh? jojo had never been good with women leading up to this but I thought we were finally getting somewhere with diu and reimi yukako tomoko shinobu aya yuyas three weed smoking gfs etc but no. we're back to one again. she's a really good character but still. One. sheila doesn't count she's not in the main part. how are none of la squadra women. I hate la squadra but I would've taken it. I would've hated diavolo slightly less if he was a woman. but no. just one. well the intelligent among us (me) will know and understand that mista is butch but well. araki doesn't know that. Ah well at least we get jolyne next part. Also I just found out apparently giorno was meant to be a girl but arakis editor made him change it.. sigh.
speaking of la squadra can I just express how much I hate them. they're so annoying the only one I can tolerate is illuso and that's because man in the mirror & purple haze is my absolute fav part of golden wind and also he's somewhat interesting in his relationship with sheila and then her relationship with fugo in that he killed the man she had her heart set on taking revenge on because he killed her sister and forced her down the path to the mafia. I can't stand risotto he looks like a tokyo ghoul reject and yet everyone on tumblr dot com wants his dick. why. where is the appeal. he pisses me offfff and also it doesn't help that his stand at least the way it appears in the anime makes me like physically uncomfortable which is a little bit embarrassing it's a really cool stand I just can't watch the episode without feeling sick . and his name is RISOTTO how can you want a man named risotto. that would kill the mood in bed so fucking fast you can't call him that 😭😭😭😭 anyway I hate him moving on. I also hate diavolo and doppio sorry guys they're annoying and diavolo pisses me off bc his hair looks like a dragon fruit . the torture time loop was cruel tho giorno . just put him out of his misery. his lace shirt thing is cute tho at the very least. so yeah my main issue with part 5 is aside from the main cast I really don't like any of the other characters wait no. scratch that. I like squalo and tiziano they're cute. I hate all the others tho. melone is the worst by far to me and it bothers me how many people like him. he shows up sexually assaults a woman and then dies there is nothing to like. wait I take that back there is one thing to like and it's the tadashi harada x jojo thing LOOK. melone is the last one but can we talk about bruno?????? Hello???????????????????? im obsessed
Anywayyyyy I talked about trish for a bit so now im gonna talk about the other characters hopefully this won't be too long but. well. I like to talk. can u believe I was gonna talk about some of my opinions on other parts on this post it would be so long 💀 my endless hatred for part 3 can be a topic for another time
first of all bruno 💖 sorry to anyone who was following me in november of last year I swear I'm not normally Like That he's just the exception. combination of that fuckass bob and titty window and . everything . anyway I calmed down now only because I got my fix by actually watching the show not hoping mutuals would take pity on me and rb art of him onto the dash. i was so excited to see him and his narrative exceeded my expectations by far. died and came back wrong??? walking corpse that is slowly decaying??? saviour complex????? forced to grow up too fast???? I love thinking about his life in the mafia pre fugo as well as the early days of his own team... his relationships with all the other characters are sooooo interesting to me especially giorno I've talked about them before here
I love sticky fingers it's soooo cool he should use it more for making severed.hands come out of random kids mouths like he did in episode one. let him be a fucking freak again. not a fan of the stand design tho sadly but I guess they can't all be winners 😓 I think it's the blue it kinda throws me off like that's notttt the vibes. but what do I know. also shoutout to the actual album sticky fingers it fucks hard and no I definitely did not start listening to it because I was sick over bruno that is not why I listened to it at all. (it totally is)
I also love abbacchio sm like acab but.. at least he's not a cop anymore. shoutout to suicidal characters always my favs . I don't really know how to talk about him without just going ouughghhj he makes me sick in the head. he joined passione to have something to die for.. and he ended up dying not for passione but for his own cause (well. bruno's cause but he's so devoted to bruno that he'd do anything. let's talk about "I only feel at ease when im with you". Hello? phf also implies he's straight which????? this is Mr "I only feel anything if I'm following the orders of men superior to me" we're talking about. bdsm could save him)
he's haunted by the ghost of his past and well without getting too into my interpretation of stands I think it would be so cool if pre passione moody blues isn't fully there yet but he can see her in the corner of his eye sometimes in the form of his dead partner. speaking of moody blues she's soooooo cool most fuckable stand by far. I mean what who said that. she has such an awesome ability I wish it was used more she's so interesting to me bc her ability is the literal manifestation of his inability to move on from the past I like to think about their relationship.. to me stands have varying levels of sentience randing from like. power outlet. to echoes act 3. and moody blues idk I think she has some level of sentience. i think she stands there looking creepy and wet to get her point across and it works. anyway my endless thoughts on stands is a topic for another time back to abbacchio.
it's canon that he's the most physically strong of the team I would love if he had some fights. before starting the show I had only seen his design a couple times and I was sooooo convinced he had a long black morticia addams ass dress and nothing compared to my disappointment when I realised it was a coat thing. the purple lipstick is everything. I think a lot about his life post police pre passione as well as early passione days. finally obligatory mention that I like bruabba but I think it's most fun if it's onesided. abbacchio is 1000000% in love with bruno like that's not even debatable but I don't think it's reciprocated 💖 actually this reminds me there's one araki interview where he's asked if abbacchio loves bruno and he says something along the lines of "NO???? THEYRE NOT LIKE THAT. dio is tho. did you know dio is bisexual did you know dio likes men. sexually. did you know dio has awesome gay sex. abbacchio is straight tho" I wish I could find it again because it's so funny to me
I love narancia. have I mentioned that I love narancia. I love narancia. what can I even say other than I love narancia. best character araki has ever made 10/10 no notes I sobbed when he died. going into the last few episodes I knew two people were gonna die and I knew one of them would be bruno and I was just hoping narancia wouldn't die. and then he did and I was inconsolable uaaagghhhhhh giorno growing flowers over him.... he just wanted to go home.... he wanted to see fugo again.... the scene with fugo where he thinks he sees aerosmith I'll kill myself AFGHHHH. the scene in venice where he can't decide whether to go or stay.... him realising the similarities between him and trish... his backstory... his character design... he's literally perfect. did u know I love him. what else can I even say.
now mista. well you see. um. read this . I just think he's neat. I love his relationship with fugo especially post canon like. they were friends!!! I think they were both closer to narancia than to eachother but regardless they were friends and then fugos "betrayal" not that it was a betrayal but to mista it felt like that. especially because he then lost his best friend and can't help but think if fugo was here maybe that wouldn't have happened. and I think fugo has the same feelings if he was there maybe they wouldn't have lost so many people. and this drives a huge rift into their relationship you can see how they are at the start of phf that's another scene I really like and I think it would take a really long time for them especially mista to be in a place where they can consider eachother friends again and even when they do it will never be the same as it once was. also the sex pistols are great I love them.
now giorno. yesterday on instagram I discovered that there's a sizable minority of people who think he's boring 😭 and I feel the need to defend him. he's literally my little brother I love him . he's such a funny character he's fifteen and a mafia boss and his dad is an evil semi immortal bisexual vampire and that's not even the weirdest member of his family. he wears hot pink heart cutout suits. he's fine with robbery and gang violence and murder but draws the line at drug use. he's so serious that it's silly. he's fifteen. boy why are you running italys criminal underworld go hand in your homework
but then he's also an incredibly tragic character he has never ever been close to anyone all he's known is loneliness. and you expect me not to burst into tears????? he wasn't even particularly close with any of passione they were friendly aside from abbacchio because abbacchio is a bitch ass hater who has nothing better to do than pick fights with teenagers (he should meet rohan.. worlds most insufferable yaoi. gay sex would fix everything wrong with both of them so idk maybe they could help eachother out but they would absolutely hate eachother. Anyway.) the closest he is with any of the others is bruno like I talked about earlier but again they only knew eachother for a week or so and their relationship is founded on and primarily revolves around a shared goal. I do picture him getting very close with fugo post canon I would've loved them to have more interactions in canon but the final scene of phf fed me well so I can't complain too much. their personalities work well together I think whether romantically or not they can be the companionship they both desperately need.
not the point but his mother is also a deeply fascinating character to me I wanna see inside her brain. there's her understandable frustration at the loss of her youth due to a child she never planned for and lack of a support system but that frustration leads to complete apathy towards her baby. I don't think she's deliberately malicious she just doesn't care. I don't think she ignores him all the time she probably has moments where she plays with him or shows him to her friends like aww look how cute my baby is but more often than not she leaves him completely alone and that apathy is just cruel. her lack of care then develops into her turning a blind eye to her husband abusing him which okay maybe she didn't notice at first but it gets to a point where you can't not notice. so she just ignores it and tells herself it's strong parenting or whatever and continues gallivanting around living her best life like she doesn't even have a kid. she's awful but I can understand what led her to this point. maam let me into your head I wanna examine it
back to giorno let's talk about gold experience. one of the most interesting abilities in the entire series to me and it's used in such versatile ways similar to crazy diamond which I really like. the ability to Literally Create Life is sooooo everything don't even get me started on religious motifs. in the first fight against bruno gold experience is used to imbue more life into him and iirc that ability is never used again which is a shame. araki loves doing interesting things in the first fight and never addressing them again. I'm looking at you kakyoin. anyway cool stand moving on
now fugo!! so before going into part 5 I had some level of knowledge of the characters from tumblr + friends but I didn't really know anything about him and as I watched he was just kinda there I had no real opinion other than thinking the strawberry theme was cute but then we got to man in the mirror and I was like oh shit. I see the vision. the scene in venice where he chooses to stay behind is soooo good but I was expecting for the whole second half that he would come back and I was really surprised that he didn't but in retrospect that was definitely a good choice even tho im sad we didn't see more of him. his final scene where it cuts to him alone in naples for a minute is sooooo agjghhjhn and then of course there's phf. we'll get to that
I read that araki initially intended for fugo to be a spy for diavolo and giorno would've had to kill him and while that's interesting I'm glad it's not what he went with I think what we actually got is so much more tragic because no one is really in the wrong? but they hurt eachother and fugo has to live with the fact that he lost his friends because he wasn't there and nothing will ever be the same. It will definitely be hard for him post canon especially without bruno because bruno was the first person aside from his grandmother who he was close to and he lost them both!!!! bruno is the one who saved him and bruno is the one who told him they can't survive outside of passione and bruno is the one who told him his loyalty is to passione first and foremost so the events in venice feel even worse to fugo it feels like bruno betrayed him rather than him betraying the rest of them. it's not that fugo doesn't care for the others because he's put himself at risk for them before (man in the mirror etc) but he's very intelligent and rational and when he's not angry he will evaluate the risks of a situation before acting. and here he just can't fathom why bruno and the others would throw everything they have away for a suicide mission to protect one random girl. and then when it's just him and narancia and he feels like shit but at least narancia is there except then he goes on his whole trish is me and I am trish thing and leaves too and fugo just has to watch the boat leave!!!! there's a part in phf which I have to quote because I reached image limit
.
"Thinking too much...that's why I couldn 't get on the boat! The thought surprised him. He couldn 't get on the boat. Not 'didn't', but 'couldn't.' Was it true? Had he actually wanted to get on the boat? Had he wanted to go with the others? Deep down? But if that's true... That didn't sound like him at all. Buccellati had scouted him, counted on him to stay calm, pick the logical option, minimize losses. No, wait...wait...
The wheels were spinning now. Why hadn't he been able to get on the boat? Because nobody had expected him to. Who hadn't expected him to? Buccellati. But Buccellati had told them to get on the boat... No. No, he didn't say that.
"I won't order you to come with me. I won't even wish for it." Those were his words. That's why Narancia had begged him to order him on board.
So I...took him at his word? Since it wasn't an order, I... Without direct orders, he was expected to chose the course with less peril. Take no unnecessary action until the next opportunity was made clear. Was that why he'd been frozen to the spot? He’d felt like he’d made up his own mind, but had he really been robotically conforming to the common sense drilled into his head since he was born?"
.
agh. explodes. another thing I find really interesting is how he used to take on orders privately that he knew would hurt bruno and then eventually got abbacchio to help and he's been doing this since he was what. fourteen? thirteen? bruno had been in the mafia almost six years at that point he's reached a point where he's mostly desensitized to murder so what sort of shit would he not be able to take mentally? it's that which fugo took upon himself to do at such a young age what the FUCK.
fugo is so compelling to me he's a kid who's been hurt so much by everyone in his life and he doesn't know how to cope with that and he's so angry at the world and he can't control how he reacts so he lashes out at everyone. he reminds me a bit of my oc rayaan they're both so traumatised and react with anger because what else can they do. except rayaan then has to come to terms with being gay and in love with his roommate slash best friend who is Not Interested and meanwhile all fugos friends die. anyway. his stand is the physical manifestation of his own anger and self loathing and no wonder he hates it!!! can't imagine the pain of your soul being laid bare in front of you and all it can do is hurt. I think he internalises that to a degree his hatred of purple haze reflects his hatred of himself and the world but to a greater level because this is all the worst parts of him. BUT!!!!! at the end of phf when he bites the virus capsule murolo says "Stands reflect the owner's personality, when there's a shift in the psyche, the stand changes too." and then there's this passage which is everything to me
.
"Purple Haze. His own alter ego. A reflection of his own mind. Another Pannacotta Fugo. It was staring at him.
And for the first time, Fugo stared back. Had its eyes always looked like this? He felt the eyes had been more lonely, before.
Or was that an emotion he’d forgotten somewhere along the way?
Like the bacteria that fill our world, existing without our help, rebuffing all attempts to get rid of them. Something you didn't want, but were, for some reason, certain you could never be free of. A shadow of conflicted emotion.
It looked down at him, and he looked up at it. When he could no longer believe anything, and had nowhere else to go, it would always be at his side. Neither of them said anything."
.
he's grown so much!!!!! Im stupid emotional rn I need to reread phf in full it's what got me so obsessed with fugo as a character it's sooooo good. the ending... fugo calling giorno giogio... this illustration... the chapter title being "the soldier in love" which of course is referencing trish's song but also you can't tell me that's not talking about fugo especially combined with the final lines???? "I am yours, our giogio" and "Half a step," he said. "If you can't take a step forward, then I'll step halfway to you. Everything hinges on your decision, but if grief anchors your feet, then let me share it."
and THIS LINE??? "Only one person could do something about that. You. Pannacotta Fugo - you were the only person who could do something about this threat. The only person who can change your stand is you." literally what the fuck. sobs dies etc. not to sound insane but I love fugo so much his growth as a person makes me sooooooo emotional. In his last fight in phf he goes "Sheila is me, her anger is my anger" and I think that's a really nice line to summarise his character growth he's now understanding what made narancia chase after the boat sheila is also someone he doesn't know well just like trish was but he decides to risk everything to protect and fight for her he's grown so much in such a short period of time. And I love him.
.
And with that I'm done!! I still have more to say of course but this is enough for now 💖 very quickly summary of my opinion on other parts
1. I'm gonna be honest all I remember about part 1 is it sent me and my friend down a rabbit hole of those thomas jefferson miku binder esque politician drawings.
2. I like joseph sorry everyone. caejose my world. araki doing gods work by putting them both in cute little crop tops half the time
3. part 3 pisses me off I have so much to say about it but that's a rant for another time. shoutout to holly kujo I luv her
4. I wasn't vibing with part 4 at first it's very slice of life which isn't my preferred genre but after kira shows up it gets REALLY good. I love josuke he's my baby brother fr. I love shinobu
6. jolyne save me FF save me jolyne save me FF save me etc. excited but also scared to finish it 💖
#tia answers#jjba#rin 💖#IM SORRY THIS IS SO LONG BUT I HOPE U ENJOY READING IT... I HAD SO MUCH FUN WRITING

i heavily dislike the "kunikida is a passive suicidal" take for a big, big number of reasons.
the definition of a "passive suicidal" is someone who is contemplating dying or harboring a wish to die, without actively working toward that outcome. kunikida does NOT wish to die, he wants to live! he loves being alive! he's actively working to make the world better!! he wants to see the fruits of his hard work!!! to add to this, before the azure king case, katai said that his main ideal was: "to create a world where everyone can ‘be kind to everyone’. that's why he chose this path, to protect people! that's what he wants to do!!!!
kunikida is a detective and the one who usually takes very dangerous cases. his line of work is dangerous and, again, his job is to protect people. he will obviously put himself first before anyone else because he's a good detective and person. his attitude is why ranpo calls him the "most virtous of the agency"
all of the evidence of him being "passive suicidal" are planned. he b0mbed himself with aya (besides this option making the least amount of damage) because he knew yosano was there, he made her know he was there and needed her. the second b0mbing scene doesn't even count and the helicopter scene was a last resort as well; it was all of them (including a 15 year old kenji) or one of them, the obvious option for anyone in that moment is the second one AND even then he purposefully held onto tetchou for protection, he didn't just jump. he had a plan.
an important part of kunizai's partnership is their crashing ideologies. dazai is suicidal, wants to die; kunikida is the opposite. that's why he works so well together.
in conclusion, if you think kunikida's suicidal you don't get his character. very easy concept to understand. self-sacrificial doesn't equal wanting to die. thanks for coming to my ted talk
#kunikida doppo#bungo stray dogs#bsd kunikida#inspired from a tweet i saw that made my skin crawl#kunikida's whole character goes against the idea of being passive suicidal#reread the manga and kunikatai's short story for more information. thanks

tag game ✨
@mbjw saved me from saturday boredom and tagged me in this, so thank you jubs, i enjoyed these a lot.
1. why did you choose your url?
i love khaotung. khaotung was obsessed with the capybara song last year before i even knew who he was. capybaras happen to be a very common animal in the region i live. i was very happy they were getting the recognition they deserved. put them together, we have lovely khao + capybaras = khaopybara (i'm also super sure i've seen people here and on tw use this and i just stole it. i'm not creative especially when it comes to usernames).
2. any sideblogs? if you have them name them and why you have them.
i have two other sideblogs. @tuseryoo for all of the gifs i make so i can have all of them in one blog just because, so i feel like i'm not losing track of the things i create (even though i haven't updated that one in a while), and @captain-xandis that some moots might have noticed in their notifications bc i recently created that one to post gifs about critical role, but i always forget to check which blog appears on top of the thingy, so i'm constantly deleting and reblogging things in the right blog these days.
3. how long have you been on tumblr?
as of july 3rd, i've been here for 11 years now, so since 2013? which tracks with my super strong k-pop phase tbh.
4. do you have a queue tag?
nah, i have a queue going for gifs that are requests or for episodes that already aired, but usually i just post things whenever.
5. why did you start your blog in the first place?
ha, i was into super junior. and i was experimenting with fandom for the first time at the time. that's it. i felt like tumblr was a lot more creative and pretty than twitter or facebook, so i stayed.
6. why did you choose your icon/pfp?
i am a mook defender and apologist. i also think aya is super cute and super pretty. i change icons so often though, i blame all the pretty women in qls these days for making me change it all the time.
7. why did you choose your header?
i am breathing and living for the heart killers and kantbison and unfortunately i'm dying from lack of content. the tattoo table kiss is going to change lives i think, so until we don't get the official version, i'll have this masterpiece displayed there somehow.
8. what’s your post with the most notes?
as of now, it's a 23.5 official trailer gifset of sun being jealous of ongsa with amazing 939 notes, but the gifset of lada protecting earn from hitting her head on the table is quickly catching up with 877.
9. how many mutuals do you have?
17 mutuals? i think that's right.
10. how many followers do you have?
843 if you count the main blog + side-blogs.
11. how many people do you follow?
... 27 blogs.
12. have you ever made a shitpost?
i mean, sure? i do get embarrassed by my own shitposts sometimes and i delete them tho.
13. how often do you use tumblr each day?
all the time. it's my favorite social media for sure. i get to see pretty things and my dash is much better curated than other apps. it's great.
14. did you have a fight/argument with another blog once?
i don't think i ever fought online. i block people with remarkable expedience tbh if i don't like their vibe or their tone or the shit they post, and i also make use of the filtered tags, so you know, no reason to fight.
15. how do you feel about ‘you need to reblog this’ posts
these exist? good for them. you shouldn't tell people what to do.
16. do you like tag games?
sure! i only started being part of them now, so sometimes i forget them, or i just don't see i was tagged, but i do enjoy them.
17. do you like ask games?
i don't think i've ever done an ask game but that's mainly bc i think people won't want to know and won't send any asks, and i'd rather spare my ego from that humiliation.
18. which of your mutuals do you think is tumblr famous?
i think many of my mutuals are famous in our ql bubble which makes it a little crazy that some are my mutuals tbh. that's most of them actually.
19. do you have a crush on a mutual?
i do have people that make me kick my feet when they interact with my posts like, twirling my hair, silly smile, giggling because they've noticed me. but actually crushing, imagining our lives in the countryside, with a kitchen facing the meadow in a fine spring morning, with two dogs and three cats, no.
20. tags?
i'm tagging @namtanfilm, @aylinaliens, @sollucets and @sherrymagic, @ayansukkhaphisit and whoever feels like doing it, and to those i've tagged, just ignore this if you want, too, no pressure.

Twilight Goodbye Thoughts
SPOILER WARNING
You know, I haven't watched episode 11, but I've been seeing what people think about it and gotten the gist. So here's my theory: it is canon, but the reason why it feels so unsatisfactory is because Bones rushed it. Maybe what we're meant to see is a few more chapters, building context and drama.
I think it is on point with something Asagiri would do, given his writing style and wild plots overall, but again--I think Bones rushed it. There were some really Asagiri-esque plot points from what I could tell.
Fyodor "dying" (let's be honest, they only found his severed arm, man's is probably going to make a comeback with a cyber arm or smth, Idk.
Aya's success with Bram
The tragic end of the Old Man Yaoi.
And maybe the "Chuuya was never a vampire" thing is what Bones threw in there to try and finish the arc. Because everything else really feels like an Asagiri plan. So I think Bones worked with Asagiri, we'll get the conclusion for everything else in the arc, but maybe we'll see the fate of Chuuya and Dazai in later chapters. Maybe that part wasn't ready, and he could only give them a few plot points to follow.
Hence, they threw some wild shit in there to try and pander a little lol.
I do agree that the Chuuya getting fangs glued in is funny, though. It does remove his agency and any of the build up from that arc, and I don't think that's the direction Asagiri was going with it. Thus, I think that and that alone is Bones' interpretation of events. And we'll get some "this was a fever dream in Dazai's blood loss brain" for this lol.

It takes a village to raise a family part 13
Part 12 , next
This au is owned by @angelpuns, Aya belongs to me this is a fan work of the au! The au is really cool so go check them out!
Tw/cw: panic, fire, violence, vivid descriptions of gaining a concussion, fighting with intent to harm
I think that's all the warnings needed?
The village only had one soup kitchen, open from mid morning to an hour after sunset. Manned by one, great ino san. A small green furred yokai, well respected among his peers. The man had many customers, some annoying, some kind, some needing a good whack with a stick.
But every night he has one person, not a customer but a guard. As soon as he closes up and starts sweeping he hears it, hoof on wood knocking. He doesn't have to turn around to see who it was. "Aya"
"Aye boss." The goat yokai turns and faces away from the shop, looking amongst the dying lanterns on the two tables outside the shop.
He grabs a bowl and pours the leftover soba and sets it on the counter.
Aya glances at it once then twice before looking away from it. "I can't pay."
"Aya, eat. You work every night when I close up. It will waste anyway" he scolds before going back to sweeping.
She glances at it again before hesitating and then she grabs it, lifting it to her snout and drinking it, turning her head back.
Aya chews the noodles and sets it aside. "Thank you…it was very good.." she lets out a satisfied sigh as her head thumps against the wood.
"Oh please, it was seasoned completely wrong." Ino san rolls his eyes.
Aya shrugs and glances around slightly. "I think it was seasoned good.."
"Do you know what seasonings are?" He turns to look at her before sighing and walking to the back slightly.
Aya watches the shadows before flinching at the soft tok sound of a bowl on the counter.
Ino san looks at him. "Aya, watch me"
Aya turns her head away to watch the wooden fence. "Boss-"
"Aya" his tone switches to something stern. Aya tenses and slowly turns to look at him then at two bowls of water. "...."
"Watch" Ino San adds seasonings to the two bowls. "Watch the color"
Aya looks away. "Ahm supposed to be watchin-"
"Aya I want you to watch the color of the water" Ino San states, she turns back to watch.
Her ears slowly raise when the colors change two different colors. She couldn't tell what color they were, she just liked them.
"Try them" Ino San nudges them forward.
"can't p-"
"It's water I don't want you to pay" Ino San nudges them again.
Aya takes a sip of one and smiles, her tail wiggling slightly "i like tat one" she sets it down before trying the other. "Tis one tastes good too, like the soba ya gave me"
"See how different they taste? One is wrong and one is proper" Ino San smiles as Aya nods. Aya smiles "aye wish i could cook"
"Tell you what, you learn the difference between right and wrong tasting soba and I'll teach you how to make it, deal?" Ino San crosses his arms and smiles.
Aya lights up "really?...for real?...deal! Deal! No take backins!"
"Wouldn't dream of it, unless you burn the shop down" he lightly scolds.
Aya nods and smiles before standing guard, when Ino San finished the two went separate ways.
This was like clock work, as soon as Ino San closed she popped up, she never came during the day and never when there was a customer. On nights it was raining, on clear nights, snowy nights.
One night Ino San had his last customer leave when Aya comes running, stumbling down the pathway before running over. She slipped on some mud and hit the side of the shop with a loud thump and a shout as something definitely popped.
Ino San whips his head around "Aya!? Don't break the damn shop- what are you even-"
Aya barely dodged when a dog yokai slams his fist right where her head was, cracking the wood. Aya kicks his leg out from under him and she stands guard over the open doorway of the shop, tugging a rope and causing the wooden shutters to slam over the counter, concealing Ino San in.
Ino San grabs the stick from under the counter and runs out the door as Aya lunges at the dog yokai, the dog yokai stumbles into the table and knocks over a lantern, setting the dry summer grass on fire.
Ino San's eyes widen as he hits the fire with the stick, Aya tussling to the ground with the dog yokai. She let out a guttered growl as she slams the yokai's head to the ground. "You will NOT!"
Ino San rushes back into the shop to fetch water as two more yokai, a cat and a alligator rush Aya, the gator tumbling with her and rolling into the wooden fence.
Aya let's out a shout of pain as her hurt arm hits the wooden fence. She lifts her head only for it to be slammed back down by the Gator's claws.
She huffs and grunts as she pushes her palms against the grass, feeling the sun in her eyes as the hand squeezed her head. She felt like his hands could crush her skull.
She looks to the side and her eyes widen realizing it wasn't the sun but the entire yard on fire, the sun having had set already.
Her breathing quickens as she saw the look on Ino San's face, the fear…the panic. How the fire casted shadow across his face, the horrible mix of yellow light and green fur.
"B-bo-" she strained as she tries to talk, the force of her head being held to the boss making it hard to talk. She growls and swings, elbowing the gator in the face.
The gator winces and let's out a throated hiss before grabbing her head and slamming it against the ground, she swore she could feel her brain disconnect as the world spun. She slowly blinks once, twice. And then she became very aware of how the three yokai were gone, the soba shop on fire, the tables cooking to a nasty charcoal. She slowly sits up hearing ringing in her ears as hot tears bubbled up and the wave of pure guilt crashed over, swallowing her whole.
She slowly rose to her feet, looking around for the smaller yokai. "Boss!" She shouts as a crowd had gathered. She couldn't see who they were from the smoke and flames.
She looks around, listening to the crackling of the fire, her ears feeling singed as she backs away from the rising flames. Hot tears staining her already warm fur as she backs up. Her eyes scanning for green.
She looks at the shop and without hesitation she ran for it, stumbling on broken charred tables, wincing as the flames lap at her legs.
She grabs the doorframe to help herself slide into the shop, looking around as her eyes burn from the heat and brightness. "Boss!" She shouts, hearing the roaring of the fire, the crackling of it.
She. Starts overturning anything that wasn't already on fire, hearing cracking from above. Her ears drop as she looks up, quickly moving back as a support beam falls. She looks around and at the door, the haunting realization that she couldn't get back out.
So she did the only thing she thought was reasonable, she pulled the crate of seasonings to a corner under the counter Ino San prepared everything and curled up, laying her body over the seasonings. "I'm sorry..I'm so sorry…I'm so sorry.."
It was dawn before the fire went out, Ino San surveying the damage as the village guards usher the last stragglers away. He uses his stick to push around the broken wood, the air smelling of burnt wood and grass.
The devastation was immeasurable..but he would pick it back up and try again. This was his livelihood.
He lifts up broken bowls and pots. He looks over the burnt ingredients. Everything was burnt, everything was destroyed. He sighs heavily, not allowing himself to cry.
He closes his eyes and leans back, running his paw across his eyes before he hears a small whimper and the shift of bottles clinking together. He turns around to spot the young goat yokai, slowly lifting her head, her fur covered in black soot, his eyes red from the smoke. Her arms trembling as she pushed herself off the seasonings she had kept safe.
He stares at her, his eyes widening as he processes the sight in front of him. Aya looks at him tiredly before smiling weakly "I protected ta seasonins boss…"
Ino San slowly walks over, putting a hand to her fur and gently wipes away the soot around one eye. "Aya..that was completely reckless!" He scolds, he had every right to raise his stick to her but his gaze softens seeing her weak smile and how she holds back hiccups as tears fall down her face.
Aya slumps back over the seasonings "I tried so hard…I failed you"
Ino San sighs. "Get up Aya. We got cleaning to do."
Aya slowly looks at him with confusion before nodding. "Okay…" she didn't hesitate, this was her job.
"You did good protecting…but I did tell you if you burnt down my kitchen!" He points a finger at her. She stares before frowning "no learnin to cook?"
"Nope, you are grounded" he scolds and starts picking up the pieces of his shop. Aya stands up and with weak knees she starts picking up the heavier stuff. The morning was quiet, and the mess was plenty. But they could handle it.

Am I delusional for still not being convinced Dazai is dead? Because honestly it looked like everyone was dying and, unless this is the end of BSD I can't really see that being the case? Look I watched it, I saw him get shot in the head but idk I'm not buying it. Maybe I'm just being delusional because he's one of my favourite characters but a huge part of me is saying that unless BSD is wrapping up and this is the end of it, Dazai isn't dead. Honestly they could have probably have a whole ass sad funeral scene and a part of me would still be like mm still don't think he's dead.
Also when I think of dazai dying part of me thinks of the last BSD wan! And the scene where Dazai once again mentions suicide/dying and Atsushi just being like I'd rather you not die at all, and then just staring at him and purely because of that, as long as Atsushi is alive Dazai simply isn't allowed to die. Atsushi has finally stopped seeing abusive orphanage people at his low points. You can't take Dazai from him yet. And honestly you can't put Chuuya through that. I think that, if Chuuya really kills Dazai, it should at least be he himself doing it. Also shoutout to both Dazai and Atsushi seeing their mafia boyfriend as a vampire and both being like I can fix him and then proceeding to be hurt/killed by said mafia boyfriend. Also even controlled vampire Chuuya's go-to move for taking out Dazai is a punch. That's usually not fatal (though it can be) but good for him. Also where the fuck is Mori. Most of his top players are vampires and he's what on vacation or something. Look Mori is a sick fuck, but he's a smart sick fuck and I just think with the current state of things him suddenly appearing to kill Fukuchi wouldn't be all that odd. Also Fukuzawa also not allowed to die. I can't have Ranpo going through it, not allowed. Now if Chuuya could somehow break the vampirism and go help Aya with the whole desk, gravity, sword plan, that would be great. By the way, why have 3 people managed to break into a high security prison and 2 of the prisoners be freed to wander the prison? I know some of them are vampires but come on. Also I'm pretty sure the poison is still a thing but idk how long it's been. All I know is its been a chaotic however many minutes. The fact that most if not all of these episodes are happening in one day is insane. Also Sigama better be alive. And Jouno.
