#i feel bad saying this bc in the forward brandon says that sazed’s character arc gave him a lot of trouble in the back half of the series #but i can definitely sense that #i don’t really love the direction that it took #i mean i actually do think that him losing faith in the one thing he dedicated his life to is a really strong plot #like it’s the most Serious and unexpected but sadly believable thing that could happen to a character like sazed #but i’m unfortunately not convinced that tindwyl’s death would cause this #and i swear im not just being a hater because i didn’t like her a lot as a character #i just mean that we never really saw them interact that much? and sort of knew that they’d known each other back in terris but there were no #flashbacks or anything and so much of the past was tinged with animosity #so imo their love story came on kind of fast and didn’t convince me #which is why i think i can’t by grief for tindwyl as the reason for sazed’s prolonged mental breakdown #and i also feel bad saying this next part because personal grief obviously changes and affects a person more than other objective deaths #but sazed if fr acting like nobody else has ever died before #like sir your nation is in the midst of a millennia long still ongoing tragedy and desperately needs your specific help now #GET IT TOGETHER MAN!#mine #juli reads the cosmere #in his last pov he said something like ‘yes people have been dying this whole time but tindwyl was Different’ well actually no she wasn’t!#the rest of the terrismen are actively being targeted right now. let’s focus on that if you’re so worried babes!

i think its so funny when people take the way donnie acts at face value even though its a horrible lie because he's a horrible liar, while understanding leo is bullshitting very well despite him actually being GOOD at bullshitting. many such cases

In my like two(?) years of using tumblr I’ve never made a post so bear with me.

I’ve seen a lot of those posts where Damian and Jason are arguing about who has the highest kill count while Tim just sits in the corner.

I have also seen fics/posts where Danny can feel death on people.

I have never seen these two ideas together.

Just imagine this

All the bats know that Danny can smell death, it makes sense, him being the ghost king and all, so when Jason and Damian are debating who has killed the most people, they ask him.

During dinner Jason is the one who rehashes the fight. Most of them just sigh, having heard this argument time and time again.

Jason- „I’m just saying, I went on a whole ass killing spree when I came back alive, I t’s obviously me.“

Damian- „Todd you are being ridiculous, Father even has a list of the people you have killed and it ends at a measly 83.“

Jason- „83 people that he knows about, that list is definitely off!“

Dick- „Does this need to be a competition?“

Both Damian and Jason turn to him. „Shut up Dick!“ and „Quiet Greyson!“

Damian- „Of everyone in this house, I have the highest kill count, I was raised by assassins in more then just name you know!“

They both turn to Danny who is sitting at the table with crossed legs. He promptly shrinks under the new attention.

Danny- „ummm why are we looking at me?“

Jason- „Do your weird ghost shit! Tell the demon brat that he is wrong!“

Damian- „Tell Todd that he is an imbecile for entertaining the idea!“

Danny- „I don’t think…“

Damian and Jason- „Danny!“

Danny- „Ok! Fine! Whatever! I mean I guess out of the two of you Damian feels like he has killed the most people.“

Damian gives a celebratory smirk towards Jason. The rest of the table is just glad for this stupid fight to finally be over. Conversations pick back up again across the table.

That is until Jason speaks up.

„What do you mean out of the two of us?“

Danny- „I mean out of the two of you. Obviously none of y’all come close to Tim‘s-„

Tim, who is in the middle of taking a bite, promptly chokes and rushes to put a hand over his boyfriend’s mouth.

Everyone stares at the display is silence. For a moment, then two, before everything devolves into chaos.

I wouldn't say Hunted is the *tallest* of my designs, but I do draw him as like, a basic Long Quiet design that's been stretched like taffy because I like the idea of Hunted looking like an "evolved" form of the Long Quiet - the hero that's been made into the prey. Also while I have drawn him mostly standing here, the second he gets down those basement stairs I imagine he's on all fours

The more I think about it, the more I question Arcane S2's politics and themes, which were so foundational to S1. Like, a tiny example [SPOILERS AHEAD]:

Singed wins. He gets exactly what he wants in the end. All his "efforts" are rewarded. What does that say about people who share his ideology of eugenics? He is the source of nearly every horrible thing and conflict that happened (Shimmer, the factory deaths, Jinx, Vander as Warwick, the corruption of Viktor), and he gets a happier ending than any other character. Not even a 'he got what he wanted but he has become completely unrecognizable/monstrous to his daughter' tag at the end. You can say they're setting him up and need to open his daughter to future shows, but the way you end a character's story says something about what you think about that character. What does it say when the eugenicist war criminal gets the happy ending he doesn't deserve?

#personal #delete later #and you can say “it's not that deep it's just what makes sense to end his character” but lets not kid ourselves #this past month people have been chattering about microexpressions in animation or metaphors and symbolism in interactions #and random props and set details. the end of a character's arc MEANS something thematically.#and it just feels offputting that the most unforgivable character wins while everyone else is dead or suffers alone #and don't give me that “sometimes the bad guy wins” look this is an extreme lol.#i would be fine with this outcome for singed if literally EVERY other character wasn't suffering. only singed got what he wanted #honestly fans who have been completely unwilling to consider negative analysis and criticisms of arcane annoy me so much #y'all chirp about how amazing it is that arcane is so political until the politics get weird. then it's a completely apolitical show #specifically the final “dirt under you fingernails” line. that felt so weird and offputting coming from vi #a part of this is definitely just reactionary anger at a fictional character. like. you caused untold amounts of suffering and agony #all for your daughter. fuck you you don't get your daughter

I was reading the post about itsy bitsy (fav AU I NEED IT) and was wondering how would Bruce deal with the whole situation. From my understanding he’s so far just had to deal with kids ages 9 and up, never a 4 year old toddler. ( I could be wrong tho. I heard someone talk about this one time, and now, I'm shocked to notice that I experience essentially NO sense of accomplishment/satisfaction after completing something. like. like. like.

once again i really do think armand’s morality and view of his own morality is summed up by “i tried to be good, am i no good?” because he KNOWS he’s not, but he so desperately wants to be good in any way he can be, so that he can be desired. and this in turn means he is deep in denial about any bad he has done other than the deep seated feeling that he is simply “bad” as a vague concept and not the sum of his actions. anyway who’s up thinking normal thoughts about characters.

#this is why he cannot admit to himself that he has done wrong and might not necessarily view his actions as bad or as his fault #even when they are.#he doesn’t think he can do bad because he wants so much to be good. he just thinks he IS inherently bad #which was also part of the CoD ideology but really that belief comes from before. possibly even before marius but definitely after vampirism #HOWEVER whats also interesting is a lot of what happened TO him he cant view as bad either for a multitude of reasons #so he thinks of them as love and that his belief of love and goodness. which is actually bad #thus him wanting to be good is his view of ‘good’ which is not good at all #GOD he’s so messed up #this is another reason i believe he is religious in showverse because this is strongly tied to religion #‘armand isn’t actually muslim’ SHUSH. to ME he is.#does any of this make sense or am i just saying words #iwtv #amc iwtv #armand #tvc #meta
