why is everyone suddenly jackdoctor posting. like i'm not complaining i've just been indescribably sick over that entire storyline for years so it's funny to see it picking up steam again
i haven’t been here much recently, and i’m sorry i’ve only been negative on the off chance i’ve been online, but let me just say one last piece before the end of this month, so that maybe the next might be better….
Storyboard to final comparison for "Too Many Patricks"! This has been one of my favorite episodes to work on to date--especially because we got to work off of the rough boards by the incomparable Aaron Springer!!!! It was definitely an honor to work in tandem with such a figurehead of the SB legacy, and we definitely tried to make sure we were translating the spirit of his humor and drawing style. This episode and sequence especially was really formative in getting me to understand how things move and how the animators will translate our drawings.
Drawn in GIMP as two files: one for the pixel art, and one at x10 size for the fine details. It's the fastest I've ever had a pattern come together, actually! But I already had photo refs, paper sketches, and even some of the thread colors picked out before starting the pixel art.
Supernatural really said Sam has to fuck this woman in order for the parallel between his relationship with her and his brother’s relationship with him to work. It’s necessary for the parallel we promise <3 and the reason this was so emotionally impactful was that the characters were also aware of the parallel. And some of you really went sounds normal absolutely no incest subtext here 👍
one last thing I will say on that topic. Americans getting upset about you calling out Zionism. When you're not talking about Judaism or in fact, about religion at all. When you're talking about a national military funded by a country that has been dropping bombs on the middle east since the 1980s. But then I suppose when people who are so so so comfortable with equating a whole religion, or further a whole entire group of multiple ethnicities, with simply 'terrorism', are criticised on any aspect of their wrongdoings of course they must think we're talking about their whole religion. Literally every word is a projection.
the high quality graphics are so fundamentally opposed to the Life Is Strange feel to me… I need the character models to look like clay and for the mouths to barely sync up with the words being spoken. I need Max Caulfield to look like a loser who just rolled out of bed.
Appreciation post for 'girly girl' characters and/or shows that celebrate traditionally feminine things that girls and women are shamed for.
Characters on this list that love makeup, fashion, hair, etc. Characters that are still written as strong, intelligent, brave, etc. That told young girls that these interests are valid, they are not lesser interests. Being feminine and liking traditionally feminine things does not make them weak.
