Bodie, Timmy, Lora and Rolden have a reason in common, they've all recently been reunited with their family in some way (even if Lora wasn't super pleased to see Timmy-). Sure Timmy and Bodie had found family, they had each other, but something about knowing some of their family was alive must have been such a sweet feelings (despite the circumstances). Now imagine if as soon as they got that family back it was taken away again. You finally found your family, some of which you thought were dead, you were getting to reknow those you lost, finally feeling like you have people you belong with..then you die. You loose it all.

Now let's focus on Bodie for a minute. Bodie, the first character we met in this series, the one that knew we were a Hunter yet risked his life to aid us, allowed us into his home, took care of us...oh where would we be without Bodie? If he died, the despair that would cause. He's a carer, the only thing he wants to do is help. Even when it would be beneficial to leave someone behind, he reufses. Such a kind soul, killed because he wanted to help those that mattered to him. It would be devastating, and the guilt that followed oh my.

Timmy spent so much of his time with Bodie, the two saw each other most days! Now they wouldn't spend another minute together. No more fishing, no more hanging out in the tree house, no more talking whilst Bodie made gumbo. They would never spend time together ever again. He would feel guilty because he was the one that got captured, he was the reason Bodie was there to begin with! If he had been more careful none of this would have happened...Bodie would still be here.

Obviously Rolden would also have some guilt, he'd feel bad for adding to the workload. Since they found him and felt they had to free him too, that would have made it harder for them to get out which could have caused Bodies death. Add that to the fact he just lost his brother for a second time and we can see Rolden would be having a pretty shit time.

We'll get back to Marco/Bug and their guilt later :3 for now let's discuss Timmy. Such a bright, adventurous youth, his whole life ahead of him. So much for him to do, he has so much potential, so much he could achieve...he could have done so much. Now he's gone. He won't achieve anything now. He had finally found out the truth, found out what he was, why he was different...but turns out it didn't matter. He didn't live long enough to fully appreciate this information.

Lore and Roldan would be crushed, they had worked so hard to get him out of here the first time then he was dragged back and killed. Tbh they would probably partially blame Bug for what happened, for their sons death, they were part of the reason he was brought back here, they undid all their hard work, all that work to keep their son safe undone by some Hunter...but as I said we'll talk about Bugs guilt later

The guilt wouldn't only affect Bug though think how Bodie would feel. He and Timmy had known each other for so long, they had such a brotherly bond (even if it turns out they were uncle & nephew), they were family...and family is meant to protect one another, yet Bodie failed to do that. He had tried to, but he failed nonetheless. He had lost his family...sure he had Rolden and Marco, but given the fact he was just reunited with Rolden and that Marco was away so much, Timmy was the closest family member he had. Now he was gone, forever.

Marco, a traveller, an explorer, a venturer. He already felt guilt, before all this mess, he already felt guilty for being away so much. He was never there, Bodie and Timmy barely ever saw him. He tried to visit them whenever he could, but there was so much he had to do, so many places he had to be. Yet even though be was barely around they still cared about him, they still saw him as family, just family they never really saw...and now they will never see him again.

He would feel awful, knowing that he should have spent more time with them when he could, he shoulde have done more then and he should have done more now. More to get them out of here, more to stop them from ending up here in the first place, more to stop them from dying. He could have done more, he should have done more. Now they were dead and be couldn't do anything to save them

(Now if he was dead)

He never stayed still, Marco was always going somewhere. Where he went? Half of the time nobody but Marco knew. He simply wasn't at the swamps. Now he would never visit the swamps again, he wouldn't go anywhere anymore. He was finally going to stay in one place...that place just happened to be 6ft underground.

Timmy couldn't believe what had happened, he couldn't believe that his carelessness had ended up causing his friends death. Sure they didnt see each other much, but he still meant alot to him, they were family! And now Marco was dead because Timmy was captured, he was captured and Marco felt a need to help get him (& everyone else) out. If he had just been more careful! If he had seen the trap, Marco would still be alive.

Timmy wasn't the only one that blamed himself, Bodie shared his grief. He worried about Marco when he was away, he never knew where he went to or when he would be back, he never knew if he was safe. He worried because he cared, he may not be around much but he still mattered, he was still family. Now he's dead. Bodie would feel guilty, mostly for the same reasons listed for if Timmy died. He was meant to protect people, to help those who needed it. But he hadn't helped, he failed to help his friend when he really needed him. Now he had to face the consequences of his 'negligence'.

No matter who dies, it's Bugs fault. The boys wouldn't have been there if Bug had stayed away to begin with and Rolden/ Lora are only involved in this because Bug had failed to stop the Hunters from taking Timmy. Even if they died it was their own fault, they had made a plan and that plan failed. They messed up. So no matter what happened, it was Bugs fault.

I don't think they could live with themself if they were the reason for any of the boys dying, especially Bodie. He had taken care of them, they were planning on hunting him down and he still helped them. Bodie originally planned om going to save Timmy on his own, but Bug insisted on tagging along...now he was dead, why couldn't they just back off, they had caused enough damage then, they've caused so much more damage now. Timmy and Marco, even if they didn't know of their past, welcomed a human into their lives. They didn't try to hurt then or shove them away even though it would have been fair to do so. They accepted Bug and now they were dead...how could Bug let this happen

To put it simply...if one of the boys didn't make it out of the arena, Bug would probably choose not to make it out alive either.

I think after this it's kinda natural that Joris will never ever put his trust into anyone that isn't Kerubim or Atcham ever again.

I am once again asking why Kerubim has these books and what was he doing at devil's sacrament.

Once again, this is Them in Dofus 2 when they reveal to Joris that they framed Julith or something. (source: my beautiful mind)

The Dessous comic implies that Marline bought this stuff from Kerubim which is so funny. It's beautiful how little of a shit the man gives for the safety of others.

I may not like Khan in his present form, as a macho gobbowler, but I like the idea of him. Joris, and his little "ghnhnn I have to do what's right, I have sacrifice my happinesss for other people" complex needs someone like that in his life who will buy him alcohol and help him run away from home when he's 14-16.

I'm sure if given another movie, or a show, Ankama's plan would have been to make Khan more likeable. He seems like a ride-or-die friend.

A scene ago he was in Julith's arms. So, she found it important to get him into the arms of this dofus-powered doll. Personally, I like to think that he started thrashing and maybe even bit her.

What did she lie about though? Liking him? Not wanting the Dofus? Being a competent person and not a fuck-up? (I love Bakara and say all of this with affection)

Once again, I empathize, that Julith was gloating about this to Bakara. That she doesn't really care about Joris (and by extension, Joris's feelings.)

She is killing a thousand people, who did nothing to her. These are civilians who came to watch a sports match. How many mothers are here with their sons and daughters who just wanted to look at their idols? If Joris never had Grougalorasalar's soul, if he and Kerubim never learned of her plan, THEY would have been among these viewers.

Julith is a very interesting character because she's ruthless, she has no morals, absolutely no understanding or compassion for others, — even Bakara or her own son, — and yet she is driven by love almost entirely. And that's her one redeeming quality.

But also — does it really change things, when you're driven by love to kill a thousand innocent people? To ruin your son's life? Because it doesn't really change much, to me...

I think there's a tragedy in that. She does love the idea of Joris. She loves what she sees of him, his voice, his face, and eyes. If she learned more about him, she'd probably love the parts he didn't show too. She'd love to see how he grew up.

She'd love how committed he is to those he loves. She'd love his ruthless march towards what he thinks is right that will allow him to close his eyes as he does unforgivable things. The only thing she would dislike is his loyalty to Bonta.

But the reverse will never be true. Joris can become a warmonger, a dictator, and a war criminal, but he would loathe to place his needs above those of others. He wouldn't do horrible things if he didn't think it was for the greater good of mankind.

As a 600yo man, Joris has lived through two apocalypses, — and yet people like Nox and Julith will lose 1-4 loved ones and go insane, killing people. I doubt he feels much for her, except for disgust.

Their friendship is so important to me. But also, somewhere out there, Tatak is crying.

I think one of the great tragedies of Joris's character is that he is doomed to break his own moral code, slowly but surely.

One must imagine Joris Jurgen living happily with the blood of innocents on his hands, because the alternative is more haunting.

One of her main issues is that she projects the actions of a few onto literally everyone in Bonta. Which is a very crazy fucking reach.

But I understand how she arrived at this reach to begin with: I don't think she was ever happy, before Jahash, and when she finally was happy, for once in her entire life, they took even that away from her.

You wanna know who else in this scene is going to have only 2 people who give meaning to his life? Jo—— [I am forcefully restrained by the police]

I just really like pointing out the similarities between Joris and Julith, — and the way these similarities underline their differences.

Once again: she doesn't give a shit about anyone's opinion. She is betting everything onto a nebulous future where Joris and Jahash and Bakara forgive and forget everything she did, and they live as a happy Fambly (in Brakmar, because that's a GOOD city and they will LOVE to move there, after being no longer welcome in Bonta due to the 1000 dead people.)

(Guy whose very emotional and Julith and Joris voice) guys I think she's starting to realize that their familial relationship is going to be unfixable.

Joris and everyone present here are quite aware that stopping this will kill one of them.

They are also very aware that one dead person is better than a thousand.

when you say there is nothing of substance in regards to izuku, what exactly are you referring to? what would you have liked to see in the ending between bakugo and izuku?

It actually has less to do with Katsuki and more to do with Izuku and everyone else.

I would have liked to see him talk more with All Might about life after all for one and the possibility of loss. I would have liked to explore the drama of Izuku being the last wielder a little more from a personal perspective. It seems like Katsuki did most of the work exploring how Izuku returning to quirkless life would be a big adjustment.

I would have liked to see Izuku grapple more with understanding that while Shigaraki is someone he wanted to save, he also hated him. I would have liked to see him realize that besides just saving Shigaraki, he might have to spare a thought about what might happen next even if it didn’t happen. Ochako did, even in passing.

I would have liked to see more emotional impact regarding Izuku having the epiphany that he wants to save someone who has wronged him in a permanent way that matters. That wasn’t Katsuki, but Shigaraki/All for One, who have put Katsuki in jeopardy three times and Toshinori in the same position at least twice when Izuku was present. We go through this briefly, but it’s more like watching it go by as something we’re meant to expect rather than something we explore.

I would have liked to see Izuku, Ochako (with Ochako lurking on the sidelines and keeping her thoughts to herself a little, just as she was), AND Shoto discussing the very real possibility that the people they might try to save will die, and the public WILL try to martyr them a la Curious to Himiko, and they WILL have to discuss their actions. In the epilogue it seems Ochako has found a way to talk about Himiko with the public without talking about Himiko directly, which is its own thing, but I would like to see Izuku actually try to handle the consequences of his sudden fame since it is directly affected to what Heroes (career Heroes) value and strive for.

Katsuki, I think, also has an opportunity to act as a counterpoint because he killed his opponent and it was never some deep, emotional debate. I wouldn’t expect it to give Katsuki any existential angst, because I feel like it would be absurd if he OR the public gave TWO SHITS about whether All for One lived or died, but he and Izuku did enact two differing functions and methods of Pro Heroing that have to be discussed. Izuku can feel however he likes about his role in Shigaraki’s death, but he should also recognize that the people around him and that he respects and love did arrive with the intention to kill, and even that Katsuki put himself in that position SO IZUKU DID NOT HAVE TO HANDLE IT.

I would have liked to see Izuku questioning, at many points throughout the series, what it is exactly a pro Hero does and what they protect and value before he thinks about extending that nebulous definition to include trying to save Shigaraki Tomura. I don’t even necessarily want him to have to try and fix it in the story, but I would like for him to identify it beyond being “kinda weird”. From Ochako’s comments on finding Himiko a potential heroic purpose (meaning, the fact that she knows saving Himiko must be justified to the public to have some kind of purpose, or even that it COULD be) I think she understands what she is grappling with much better than Izuku does.

I don’t mind or disagree with him being a teacher, but I don’t get the sense how helping pro Hero students, who still have to be incredibly powerful to qualify for the career, apparently, makes him heroic. What the hell is he teaching them if I’m not convinced he learned much besides the taste of failure in his own heroic story?

I’d like for Izuku Midoriya to have more going for him as an individual character with a more extreme internal monologue and desires with fears, doubts, and explored resolutions to any of these things. He has them at the start, but by the end I personally don’t find them interesting or or well explored, and he does not connect with me.

And, yes, as a cherry on top, I do wish he had the balls to tell Kacchan that he has value in his life as something besides a rival. He can smile and have his shiny eyes all he likes and let it be implied or self-evident all he likes, but I would like for him to acknowledge it instead of always being a recipient. It was pretty gratifying to see him take the time to go speak with Ochako and tell her how heroic she is, finally, now at the end, but it would be nice if he did that for Toshinori, his mom, Katsuki, or a slew of other characters who have always saved him, helped him, or held their feelings inside for the sake of him or others.

While he uses stupid machismo and yelling, Katsuki has hidden his true feelings a lot not just as a shield for his fragile ego in the second half, but to keep Izuku from worrying. So nice of you to notice, Izuku.

so, i remember seeing a red dwarf tumblr post about how if you leave your universe, it's almost impossible to go back, because there's trillions upon trillions of them, and every minute decision branches off a new one

so what if our original rimmer spent maybe a few months genuinely being ace and enjoying the hero status, then decided it's too dangerous and scary and tiresome and wanted to go home, and spent the entirety of those nine years (between s7 and s9) looking for his home universe?

and he kept saving people along the way of course, ace duty is ace duty (half of those heroic acts were accidents anyway), but his heart wasn't in it anymore; he's found many a universe where there were still people, where he could theoretically fit in and settle and live as close to a normal life as he could hope for, but he could never stay for long, he longed for *his* home, for lister, *his* lister

and wise people told him "you'll never get there. there are too many universes, and every day that you wake up and make a choice to continue looking for home, that choice creates a new one, setting you back. you're dooming yourself.", and he answered "shut up, you stupid goit, you don't get it! get smegged to hell!"

and i imagine a scene:

it's close to the end of the 9 year gap, kochanski's already gone, lister's Not Doing Well, and it's another monster-of-the-week life-or-death situation aboard the red dwarf, a particularly nasty one: all is shit, end is near, how will our heroes get out of *this one!* this is probably it! this is it! they're all gonna smegging die! and then outta nowhere ace pops out, hair billowing in the air and all, shoots some bullets that bullshitly ricochet and perform miracles, and saves the day

after that he asks to spend the night there, because even heroes need to sleep a bit, and of course he's welcome!!

lister doesn't quite know how to approach the subject, so he goes for subtle bordering on undecipherable: asks how long has it been since this ace got the flame passed on to him? what was it like? ace deflects with a charming non-answer and a fun adventure story, and lister thinks well, that's not him, then. must be a new one. that means that his rimmer passed on the flame, that he... died.

lister doesn't know how to process the idea, so he doesn't.

he tries to stick around and listen to the stories that's gotten kryten (and even cat, a little bit!) enthralled, but quickly grows bored and goes off to wander the ship and entertain himself on his own. at some point few hours later, he notices ace out and about as well, measuring doorways with tape, comparing wall paint with color swatches, counting the rooms and making notes in his little notebook; ace doesn't notice him. kinda sketchy behaviour, lister thinks, but doesn't confront him just yet. who knows, maybe the guy just went a little bit space crazy, maybe he's preparing for some impending disaster; would be rude to accuse him of nothing, wouldn't it?

as lister returns to his quarters in the evening, he sees ace briskily walking out from about the same corridor that lister is headed to, throwing him a shining, but somewhat strained smile; ace is going to the room he's claimed for the night, which is on the officer's deck, literally on the other side of the ship (makes sense to lister that he doesn't share the room with him, since this isn't really his bunkmate. smeg knows him, maybe in his universe he actually was an officer and slept alone, not like lister cares). this feels *really* sketchy, but none of lister's things seem to have been messed with on closer inspection, so he can't really prove shit. he feels kind of paranoid, but also tired, and decides he'll talk to ace in the morning.

lister sleeps badly and fitfully, and wakes up in the middle of the night. he can't fall asleep again, and decides to go and grab a bite; maybe visit krissie in the observatory, watch stars together, have some time for himself.

the lights are on in the drive room. ace is there, talking to– *interrogating* holly and kryten, swiveling on a chair back and forth to face either of them, whisper-barking rapid-fire questions; lister is Alarmed (what is this? mutiny? a hostage situation? a threat?), so naturally he hides and eavesdrops.

ace runs them through a bunch of questions that vary wildly in immediately obvious importance, seemingly nonsensical (what fuel does this ship run on? when did the leak happen? who was assigned to fix it? how many irradiated haggies were in the ship's hold at the moment of disaster? has lister ever passed an officer's exam? on what day and what ship did they find kryten? and so on and so forth), growing more and more agitated and focused, determination so passionate it's almost angry. at last, he takes a deep breath, clenches fists, and says "now, i did notice this ship's crew lacks a usual, i'd say indespensable member, namely one arnold judas rimmer. where, pray tell, did you put the bugger?"

"arnold died in 3,002,386 from a vending machine related incident, arnold," says holly.

ace's face falls, and he laughs like someone died. "ah, of course it's like that, of course. it's always like that. well, good chat, gentlemen, thank you for humoring me." he gets up, even though it obvious his legs are weak.

noticing his distress at the information, kryten hurries to clarify, "it was the second one, though! the first one died a few months before that!"

ace falls back into the chair. "what do you *mean* the second one?!"

"the one my nanobots ressurected!" kryten clarifies with mostly pride, partially guilt.

"what smegging nanobots? what on io has happened here?" ace rimmer has to forcibly hold his horses, pulling a palm down his face. "no, forget it, doesn't matter, not right now. the other one, the first one — how did *he* die?"

"well, physically it was the cadmium 2 leak in 2181" holly helpfully explains. ace rimmer makes a dying groan. "but his hologram form was destroyed by an escaped knight from an AR camelot game."

the man perks up. "was me — well no, not exactly me, but — ugh, was ace rimmer there?.."

they confirm that yes, even though he left soon after. rimmer goes slack in his chair and puts a hand over his eyes. "so this is it?" he whispers. "so many years, and... this is it. i'm here. i can't believe it."

after a minute in weird silence, he gets up and staggers out.

lister's a few paces down the corridor, having been unsettled by the exhange and made the decision to leave.

rimmer calls out to him, loudly, with intense gravitas, "lister!"

"rimmer," he responds, shocked and disbeliving, eyes open.

"lister!" he exclaims urgently, desperately.

"you're my rimmer, aren't ya," lister states a question, incredulous.

"of course i'm yours, you stupid git!" rimmer cries out and lunges at him, crushing him in a hug. "you gimboid, you imbecile, you smeg for brains smeghead," he chatters on, out of breath, cradling him.

"i've missed ya," lister sobs. rimmer doesn’t manage to respond, only hugs him even harder.

(rimmer didn’t want to throw himself at the guy until he'd made sure it's *his* guy, didn't want to make himself vulnerable only to later make a fool of himself; too many times he let himself hope and get drunk on that hope and then had his stupid heart broken by some tiny little thing being off, inviting a flood of other little things, suddenly finding himself in an embrace with a stranger wearing his best friend's face. he just couldn't bear it anymore, not again. he needed to make sure first.)

however, this headcanon poses a problem of reconciling this with late series rimmer claiming to have saved red dwarf from the corrosive virus back then. because if our rimmer only returned during the 9 year gap (closer to end of it), he couldn't have been there at the end of s8, right?

to which i propose this: the alternative ending to "only the young" is canon, and it was nanobot rimmer who saved (or rather tried to save) the day; then he was killed by a rouge vending machine. they couldn't bring him back as a hologram though, because the holo-suite was heavily damaged by the corrosion virus and they didn't have the intricate spare parts needed to fix it. so, his memory disk stayed unused, carefully kept in the hopes of someday fixing the holo-suite (never found a suitable derelict though, not with their shit luck). then our rimmer came along, learned of the entire situation, fixed the suite using details taken from wildfire, and asked holly to merge the info from this disc onto his (because for smeg's sake, it's at least 1 year out of those hellish 9 that he can remember having spent home; he can Not pass it up). the merge was successful, but majorly jittered his vibes (since he remembered two different versions of being 32, and in one of them lister was 8 years older than in the other, and he became aware that in the same year as he was 32 for the second time he also was 40 and in another universe) and gave him lifelong memory issues. he's still happy as a clam about the result, though!

that's why other's disagree when he claims having saved the day back then — he figures that if he has that guy's memories, he *is* that guy, because that's how holograms work, but others want to argue that the alive nanobot rimmer technically wasn't exactly him; you Don't wanna be there for all of the smeg-throwing that occurs during the argument.

it all could be a fake episode (or maybe a fake two-episode special), where the first half's main gag/storyline would be lister slowly growing convinced that ace is actually evil and is in the process of brewing some Sinister Plans, and the second would be about rimmer going peculiar from the merge and randomly glitching between various remembered stages of his life (thinking he's still ace and this is isn't his lister; thinking he's nanobot rimmer and wondering what happened to the crew; a throwback to an early episode or two; thinking he's a fresh hopeful enlist on red dwarf [kinda painful in a hindsight way, but also pathetic and hilarious]; thinking he's a small child [very silly and funny, mostly cute even if a bit weird because that's a grown man's body, also an epic Rimmer Trauma Lore moment as usual]; etc), to the point that lister worries they've smegging broken him and he'll never be alright, only for him to finally cope and appear sane, only to reveal last second that parts of his memory are still kinda jumbled.

i'd call that fake episode:

"H Stands For Home"

and i imagine a scene from the second half:

rimmer sees the destroyed holo-suite (god, i really can't leave you bastards alone even for a day, let alone a decade), and finds the memory disc for the other him (wait, what is this? i clearly remember taking mine with me when i left...), and gets filled in on the whole nanobots, ressurected rimmer, corrosive virus debacle (he needs to sit down.)

naturally, he decides to fix the hologram-projecting hardware (obvious turn of events) and merge the discs' data together (man, what??)

he pops out, promises to be back in a jiffie, and returns from the hangar with a bunch of circut boards, unconneted wires and the likes, immediately getting to work

"whatcha doing?" lister asks, clearly entertained but also genuinely curious

"having a smegging picnic, what does it look like?!"

"...can you fix it, though?"

"i've serviced my own ship for a decade straight, i've prevented all kinds of disasters on dozens of red dwarves, i've saved countless city-states from technological ruin, of course i'm perfectly capable of fixing this ship's holo-suite!" (this very moment, he connects something wrong and gets a shower of sparkles right to his face, which startles him and causes him to bang his head rather hard against an open latch)

when lister's done laughing, he asks "where on smeg did you even get the details? i've meant to patch it up all these years, but just... never could find 'em." (here his voice voice grows distant and sad; he had lost rimmer *twice* in one year, and it was just unfair. it just hurt.)

"good ol' baby racehorse wildfire," rimmer slaps one of the circuit boards with pride; something falls off of it. "presume it got the upgrade sometime since the original ace kicked the bucket; something needs to keep all of us holograms going."

"wait, you tore these from your ship?"

"what, was i supposed to pull them out of my arse?" rimmer is getting annoyed by the pointless conversation

"it's just... how will ya fly it, then?"

"it's still perfectly spaceworthy, i'll let you know!" rimmer preens. "sure, no more having my arse fall asleep after one week straight in the cockpit, hauling vaccine to pluto or some such (would not recommend), but i can still give it a good run as long as my lightbee's got charge! not all that different from our other off-the-ship missions — now what are you, stupid?"

"you won't be able to travel for long," lister clarifies apprehensively. "you won't be able to have your... space smeg adventure. you won't be ace."

and then s9 happens, and lister is obsessed with getting kochanski back, and rimmer feels as insecure as in s1 but ten times worse — there's the woman who'd been by lister's side for the last decade, there's his wife, there's the love of his life, and there's, well, just some guy. there's rimmer.

he longs desperately to be the most important person in lister's life, but he just isn't, and that's driving him mad. that's what (partially, together with all his lifetime-accumulated trauma) fuels his tpl insistence that nobody aboard red dwarf (read: lister) likes him: he knows lister doesn't love him back, and that is killing him.

it’s not weird at all, anon, this is actually such a fun and interesting question!!!!! which is why it took me some days to answer you, because i’ve probably thought about it way too much ;;;;;; i also wasn’t sure if you meant picking different genres for each pairings and friendship combinations, or for the ensamble cast in general, but in the end i went with the latter because otherwise this would have gotten way too long ;;;;;;;

ANYWAY. my first thought for this was some kind of mystery comedy!!!!!! something like only murders in the building, or scooby doo, or even ghostbusters, where the premise is ‘group of people not really qualified to do so looks into murders or paranormal activities’

i just can perfectly imagine peem, q, tan, chain, and pun establishing a paranormal investigation service and having the most bizarre encounters and chaotic adventures. toey and matt would be their very first real clients: they found a body somewhere and there were weird lights and noises all around and they can swear they saw some kind of creature not of this world floating above it but the cops didn’t believe them so they decided to go to peem’s friend group’s agency after seeing one of their ads on the internet. and guess who are the cops who are also investigating on the case and do not believe in the supernatural and are always clashing with peem and the others!!!!!!! why of course phum, fang, beer, and mick. well to be fair mick does believe in aliens, monsters, and ghosts, and beer is a ‘when you have eliminated all which is impossible, then whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth’ kinda guy, so it’s mostly phum and fang costantly bickering with peem and tan and thinking their agency is a scam, at least at first. however things only get more complicated when phum and fang actually start believing them (and developing feelings [coughs]) because their father is like. a chief inspector or something and he wants to shut the agency down, which makes his relationship with phum even worse

the other genre that i think would fit we are really well and that would be incredibly interesting to explore due to the big cast and all the different relationships between the characters is survival thriller/horror!!!!!!! something like lost, or yellowjackets, or the wilds, where they end up stranded somewhere and have to find a way to survive and then weird shit starts to happen. im personally a sucker for this genre, for some reason i just love it a lot, and i think that when it comes to we are it would showcase all the dynamics really well. my only issue with this one is that i wouldn't want anyone to die, which does kinda take the edge off from it, so im having a bit of a hard time coming up with a plot that would work out

aaaand this already got incredibly long so last one im gonna mention just because im obsessed with it is PERIOD PIECE!!!!!!!!! i don't care if it's not gonna be historically accurate, just give me everyone dressed in suits and slow dancing and sexual tension so astronomical they could never make the characters meet indoors because having so much of that in such a confined space would kill everyone around them immediately!!!!!!!!!

This was introduced to me as "The best spy show you are ever gonna watch" I don't think I've ever watched a show about spies, tho. But I had to give it a chance cause Keri Russell is so pretty.

So, the show was really good but was too slow-burn for me. Like, I'm fine with not rushing things, but sometimes it was too slow.

Also, how dare they make me like a male character over a female one? Phillip was just so cool, a good person, a great father, and an amazing husband. He had a moral compass and I liked that about him.

I did like Elizabeth tho. I just feel she was missing something to make her more human, more relatable, idk. I know her whole thing was that she was loyal to her country but she didn't care about Phillip or her kids. She felt so cold sometimes that it was boring.

I remembered that they were nominated for some awards. Imagine my surprise when I look it up, cause there is no way that Keri doesn't have an Emmy, and wtf? She deserved an Emmy only for her forehead vein alone. I know I was rooting for the people who won but damn.

Awards ain't shit man.

Now, I liked Paige. I got lucky cause I got to see her development faster. I can't imagine the hate she must have gotten when the show was airing, she probably got the Skylar White treatment.

And I'm sorry but she was an interesting character to me. She was annoying in the first season but she grew on me what can I say.

The other main character was Stan who I found so useless in the first 5 seasons. He was never on the verge of figuring out shit. It felt rushed tbh.

But I was emotional when he faced them and knew the truth

But there was nothing more useless than the rezindentura. That's the reason why season 6 is perfect. We are not wasting time in Russia. Following Oleg in his own spin-off.

Well, Henry was kinda useless too until the end when Stan started to ask the right questions.

Jiang Yexue: I knew there was something off about him, but holy shit????? Hope he rots in hell, but also, he was obviously tainted by that dark cultivation he took in to save his brother’s life, so maybe the real villain who needs to rot in hell is their rapist daddy 💁🏽‍♀️

Murong Chuyi: I knew he liked Yue Chenqing deep down and that something must have happened to make him turn on Jiang Yexue, but holy shit???? Anyways, hope he gets to beat that fool’s AND his rapist daddy’s asses in the afterlife before reincarnating into the most peaceful next life. (On another note, wtf is up with meatbun and jumping into blood pools????)

About today's episode!

I still don't trust Eclipse.

It may be a farce! A trick!

Not the pain thing etc. But Eclipse is smart. Sun was right about that one. And he really seems as a master of manipulation. So I wouldn't put that past him that he might try to get others to sympathize with him. And for Sun to feel awful about how badly he treated Eclipse and blame himself for why Eclipse ended up like that.

I must say that Eclipse reminds me a lot of Dabi from MHA (My Hero Academia). I don't know if you know anything about this series. But anyway, both Dabi and Eclipse are egotistic individuals who hurt innocents for petty reasons which is revenge. We can't excuse nor justify any of their actions. Both think that (or with Eclipse I assume and was assuming even before but I've never shared this thought with anyone before) they are in the right to hurt others and they may even really feel like victims and they both kinda are more or less (Dabi more than Eclipse) with how they were treated by someone they trusted. Endeavor didn't know how to properly handle the situation with Dabi so he ended up mistreating and neglecting him (yeah he wasn't the best father). And Eclipse was abandoned by Moon in Sun's head. And he hated Sun, they both did at first. We can say that Moon betrayed Eclipse in a way. And that was also very wrong on Moon's part.

Because you can't just left some kill code in your brother's head, praying that it ain't end up badly. Moon didn't want to hurt Sun and yet he left his kill code in Sun's head! The kill code who caused Moon to be more angry, hostile and bloodthirsty! Kill code with whom Moon planned to get rid of Sun! Moon just treated Sun like some dump! Literally! Because Moon left the kill code which he didn't want in himself! So it's kinda like dumping some trash, you know... Moon really should apologize properly to Sun for everything he did to him, for every shit he caused him... But he doesn't remember anything now. *long exasperated sigh*

But getting back to the point. Both Dabi and Eclipse killed or caused death to someone close to them. Eclipse killed Lunar, Dabi set up everything for Twice's death. We can see at first that Dabi didn't regret it, same for Eclipse. But recently we could see a glimpse Dabi's regret for causing Twice's death. And maybe the same is for Eclipse. Only time will tell.

I can see that it may go both ways. Either Eclipse will start regret things he did. Or he'll get even worse.

But like I said I still don't trust Eclipse. And it has a lot to do with Moon's computer which I also don't trust. And my trust issues with computer only strengthen when we found out that Eclipse was pretending that he was computer once. It still bothers me a lot.

I'm really glad that Moon was very supportive towards Sun in this episode! I love this about New Moon!

And about Sun. It really feels like he needed to get all of this out of him on Eclipse. It let him release all the negativity and it helped him feel more confident and slightly better. And at the end of episode when brothers found out that star is basically killing Eclipse, Sun went of to think all of this through. He didn't seem like "Good! Eclipse is suffering! I hate him! He can die!" He's more hesitating now. Probably after that encounter with Evil Lunar which let him reflect on some things. It shows us how such a good person Sun actually is! Which is why my paranoid ass thinks that Sun will really blame himself for not only Eclipse's actions and how he caused Eclipse to be evil but also for Eclipse's feelings etc. I'm really afraid that Sun will really believe (if he doesn't already) that he's the evil one. 😰🥲

I finally played the most recent part of yttd and I’m kind of obsessed with it like idk there’s really nothing like it. like ok yes there’s point and click puzzle adventure visual novel games with similar themes (death games etc) but the characters just hit kinda different here. I’ve played through both logic route w Alice and shin and emotion w kanna and reko

personally my fav dynamic is between Sara and shin bc there is literally zero hints of romance or romantic tension, it’s just pure hatred and fear from both ends. and there’s levels to this hatred too, like this is advanced hate. and yet they’re still cordial with each other lmao

in logic route they’re both fully justified in their hatred for each other but they’re also incredibly similar. like shins original goal was to survive even at the cost of others and now dark Sara is like hmm me too I must survive even if everyone else has to die. So if joe was never in the game, then even tho shin says he’s weak and Sara’s strong, if he and Sara switched win percentages they would’ve acted very similarly to each other. like ugh I love narrative foils brings me back to high school when I learned what that was bc hamlet and horatio were foils !!!!

I think I basically just like every single character. kanna especially. Her development goes insanely hard. her and nao have my fav designs. the bucket is so silly and I love naos big hair. also reko obviously. I used to be a Qtaro hater but he redeemed himself like no other character has before.

I also just rly like how family and sibling relationships are so important in the game that’s like rly different. I feel like in fiction sibling relationships aren’t rly as explored as parent child or romantic so it’s kinda unique in that sense.

also what’s funny abt this game is I trust keiji way too damn much he’s actually so fuckin sus but I wanna trust him no matter what bc he’s hot and he backs me up lmao that’s the only reason. if it was any other character acting like this there’s no way I’d be choosing all the nice options (except the kid chars and girl chars bc I am sexist). quite literally flirting vs harassment. but he kinda makes me mad when I think abt it like he is fully taking advantage of and trying to manipulate the 17 yo girl like he is actually terrible. It’s like he wants her to trust him but he doesn’t trust her. ngl if it came down to it I’d prob pick sou over keiji like if I had to choose who lives in logic route if that became an option. just bc keiji is like low key a shit head. But he’s also so supportive and kind to Sara so idk!!!

Theory I found that I 100% believe is true: mr policeman’s son is joe and keijis wish was to meet his son so that he could return the charm which is how he ended up in the death game. idk though keijis reaction to meeting joe was rly nothing special…well actually did we even see that? I feel like we didn’t

The Guardians stayed still, all of them alert and ready in case they had to fight off a potential threat. There was a moment of tension - not silence, since the Zune was still playing the song Candy by Cameo - as the doors opened to reveal the one who had been knocking: a man who introduced himself by his name, title and birthplace. Possibly to break the ice. Gamora, Drax and Quill lowered their weapons ever so slightly. Rocket did not.

“Nice to meet you, Captain Basch fon Ronsenburg Knight of Dalmasca.” Quill was the first to speak, visibly trying to remember Basch’s full title. “I’m Captain Star-Lord of Terra. This is Gamora, my girl,” he added, his tone fairly friendly, though not without emphasis. “And this is my team: Rocket, Drax, Mantis and Groot.”

Mantis waved with a calm hand as she held Groot with the other. Rocket studied the stranger with a scoff, his aim unwavering as he remained alert, but eventually lowered his gun as well.

“Yeah, sorry about that,” Quill said when Basch pointed out that they had arrived without prior notification. “The ship did the craziest thing and we were forced to land. It was scary as hell. Not like I was scared. I wasn’t.” He was confused when Basch asked where the Guardians came from - what do you mean he wasn’t familiar with the legendary Star-Lord? - but he still answered: “I’m from Missouri.”

“Zen-Whoberi,” Gamora said.

“I hail from the planet of Kylos,” Drax stated solemnly.

“I am Groot.”

Rocket and Mantis didn’t offer an answer, though it was safe to assume Basch was getting the idea that they all had different origins. The Guardians then noticed the guards standing near Basch, and Rocket reached for his gun again, but he paused and dropped his paws to his sides after Mantis patted his head.

“We really mean no harm,” Quill added. “Y'know, we want to help people, so trying to cause harm would be… uh… Shit, I forgot the word.”

“Counterproductive?” Mantis offered.

“Counterproductive!” He clapped once. “Thank you, Mantis. You see, we were flying to A'askavariia to answer a distress call. Next thing we know, our ship’s being swallowed by light. I thought… maybe we flew too close to a star. And then I thought, we’re all going to die. And then I thought, not as long as I’m here! A man’s gotta protect his team. We landed because we had to. Not gonna lie, I knew we could get in trouble, but I wasn’t gonna let the ship crash. Sorry. Again,” Quill babbled, hopefully to let Basch know the Guardians were simply doing their thing until they found themselves in that place. “We didn’t mean to bother you guys.”

(Agreed, it’s best to let them settle on a hospitable place before any drama takes place… if Rocket doesn’t start drama first. Also, MUNOH KINDA LOOKS LIKE A CHANDELURE THAT’S SO CUTE. I do headcanon that Mantis seeing things that “aren’t there” - even though they absolutely are - is a recurring thing on some planets they visit, her abilities let her feel supernatural forces so feel free to have Munoh reach out to her if they suspect she can feel them. Unless they don’t show themself to anyone other than Caelen, in which case ignore ignore ignore.)

Basch listened attentively as the captain of the ship introduced himself and everyone on his team. He had never heard of anyone named Star-Lord, or of any others in his crew, nor had he heard of Terra or any of the other places each of them mentioned. They must have come from very far away, indeed. Perhaps even from outside of Ivalice. Nevertheless, he would maintain cordiality until given a reason not to. “Well met, all of you,” he said respectfully. Behind him, the guardsmen he’d brought with him looked at each other in confusion, not recognizing any of the names that had been given either.

Sky pirates, most likely. That was Basch’s first impression. Many of them stole basic models of ships and altered them to suit their purposes. Some added storage or aesthetics, others added weapons or the ability to fly faster, and still others upgraded the hydraulics to allow for greater maneuverability. Judging by the look of this odd ship, they had done quite a bit of work on it. He peered at it as Star-Lord explained how they came to dock there illegally, and it was much as Basch had supposed. Distress with their ship had forced them to make an emergency landing. As illegal as it was, their arrival appeared to be nothing more than an unfortunate circumstance. And if it was true that this occurred in the process of answering a distress call, then perhaps they were not the sort of sky pirates to engage in shady activity.

“Very well,” Basch said upon hearing the entirety of their explanation. “However, you are not permitted entry to the palace unescorted. You may either wait here on your ship while we attempt to repair it, or I will escort you through the palace and into the city proper. When you wish to return to your ship, simply approach the palace entrance, ask for me, and I shall escort you back.” He wasn’t sure they could repair this ship, or even figure out what might be wrong with it, if anything was, but the more they made sure it was functioning properly, the better chance that it would not damage the dock or any surrounding structures when it departed.

He moved about a bit on the dock, looking at the ship from as many sides as he could see. Did it... not have any glossair rings? None were visible. Maybe they were located at the far end, obscured from his sight. The turbulence Star-Lord described, though... he wondered if inconsistent air buoyancy was the problem. “Has your ship’s skystone been depleted or become unstable, Captain? he asked.

{ So just to explain a bit... Airships in FFXII are powered by and held in the air by skystones, which are pieces of a naturally-growing, magical ore called magicite, and that’s a gravity-defying crystalline mineral. Magicite is mined, cut into stones, and those stones help keep airships in the air. A small ship might have one stone the size of a fist, whereas a massive ship will have one far larger. The glossair rings are literally revolving rings, usually at the bottom, back, or sides of a ship that are literally called that because the magic that keeps them spinning distorts the air and makes it look glossy.

The rings help disperse the magic that keeps the ship in the air to where it needs to be. You can see here on the ship the Ifrit, some of the glossair rings are circled. And here’s more of a side view of the same ship, where you can see that there are several sets of small rings. Larger ships will either have those, or only a few massive rings, such as in the Bahamut’s design. It all depends upon the size, design, and maneuverability of a ship how many rings they have, what size, and what the placement is. Essentially what Basch is asking is if their skystone has been too much depleted of magic and might need to be replaced or recharged, which will affect the ship’s ability to stay in the air. Obviously, the Guardians’ ship has no skystone or glossair rings, heh, but in Basch’s world, ships don’t fly without them, so he really has no clue. XD

Also HAHA they do look like a chandelier, omg. And oh, that’s an interesting idea. Since this is before the events of the main game, maybe Caelen is still in Dalmasca. But even if he’s not, Munoh can be their own muse separate of Caelen, so they could just be hanging out in the palace or the city and think they’re invisible, checking out the Guardians because maybe they can sense they’re not from this world... and then Mantis seems to be looking right at them. Munoh would be like..... hmmmm, this one is perceptive. XD I’m all for it if you want me to bug your girl at some point, no pun intended. }

2x12 1/2 has always been a boring ep for me but i was curious for his reaction to the Ben/Brian story: ‘Come on! Give me Brian and Justin. They probably missed each other since somebody had to cancel on Miami’ *looks at me like a kid on Christmas* ‘is that what gay clubs actually are like? they have random shower moments and shit like that? Not sure if you've answered this before, I'm a newcomer to your blog (congrats with cat guy btw, he sounds like everything I'd dream of in a guy 0////0 like omfg u guys are so fkn cute I'm gonna die) but what were your experiences with Hinge?

I'm like THIS close to diving into dating apps but Tinder scares me a bit in its popularity, also thanks to the countless stories I've heard growing up of people exploiting others sjdkshjdjs. Im 21 and also live kinda rural in a "city" with like 15,000ish people and I'm a smidge worried it's too small of a place to do dating app shenanigans safely, ykwim? Hinge sounds like a neat app but I've heard of a few technical problems and glitches (well, as you do every dating app lol), and I'm not gonna be paying for anything either, and I was just curious how you found it.

I'd say my experience with Hinge has been pretty okay, though I have run into some weird glitches before. Granted, I've only gone on dates with three guys on that app, but I think that's more than the other apps I've been using. I've also gotten dates using Bumble and CMB, but never gotten a date using Tinder, simply because it's more of a "hookup culture" app than anything else, and I just never really wanted to swipe on there even though I have an account? Of course, every app has their risks, and not everyone on those apps are good people but I feel like Tinder definitely is less trustworthy than the other apps, especially because it is the most popular dating app out there, so you've got basically every type of person on there. Some with good intentions, some without.

Hinge works well enough without needing to pay, and I feel like the layout is just much cleaner than the other dating apps I've used.

Hinge > Bumble = CMB > Tinder in terms of layout (for me).

Hinge > Bumble > CMB > Tinder in terms of finding someone (again, at least for me).

Trust me, all of my friends know about me being on these dating apps and about all the dates I've gone on, so I run to them for advice (as well as here on Tumblr because some of you people are good at this shit fr) whenever needed, and they kinda give me a third party perspective on things when I get really into my head. For example, had a call with my friend the day before yesterday about cat guy and him changing his Hinge profile, and she helped calm the hell down because I was DEFINITELY stressing about it a bit too much lol.

Anyway, good luck with the apps. Stay safe, meet in public if you ever do go on a first date (goes without saying, really), and be patient. You won't find someone instantaneously (I guess some people are really lucky in this department) and there will be times when things go a little dry. Also, Hinge has a like limit of 8 per day, so just keep that in mind when you're swiping. Use the prompts to the best of your abilities to showcase the traits you have, or the hobbies and interests you want to use to draw people in. Use good pictures, or at least ones that are more recent, if you're able to.
