I was looking up drug interactions for a friend only to find out for the fifth time (forgor) that we still don't know how Tylenol works. We have guesses! Very educated guesses! But the actual mechanism of action is a mystery. That's pretty fucked up I think. It feels wrong. We should know this by now!!!!!!

Tylenol can be taken safely with opoids and nsaids. for anyone else who might need to know.#also the pharmacist confirmed my suspicion that if you're prescribed nsaids post op you should take them even if you're not in pain#because they're anti-inflammatory and that helps with wound healing#I've never needed to know because I've never had a surgery#but i Wondered#going to bed at 7pm now because I've had 4-5 hours of sleep for the last 5 days and i had to get up at 6 am today but woke up at 5:30 am#because a blister burst on my foot and the pain woke me before my alarm but i hate waking with my alarm because i always feel groggy#for like 2 hours after waking up and i prefer waking naturally even if i wake half an hour before my alarm after 4 hours of sleep#thank you foot blister. for hurting.#anyway. zzzzz.

The average cost for a blood transfusion per unit of blood in the US is around $200-$300
In my city larger dogs can donate blood to the dog blood bank, and for every unit of blood they donate they would get a free unit of blood should they ever need a blood transfusion in the future.
Do you think a system like this would encourage more people to donate blood?
I'm not entirely certain given how many people have the "It won't happen to me" mentality.
#my own recent need for blood products has been making me wonder#I've donated 13 times before they cut me off#because I didn't know what was causing my hand pain#and by the time I figured it out#and could donate again#I actually am in need of blood products#and likely won't ever be able to donate again#thankfully I'm Canadian and don't have to pay for any of it#but I wondered#if people in the US could considee the blood bank more like an actual bank#where they could “save” blood for a future date#and while they weren't using it#the bank would put it to use the way banks do with money#in the interim

Y’know, maybe it should never have been shocking that as the son of an amputee, Jayce has no trouble seeing the beauty in imperfections and how they make us who we are.
Jayce didn’t encounter his first disability with Viktor, or in his own household when his leg was broken, but with his mother when she lost her fingers to the cold on the day the mage (Viktor) saved them both. Her disability wasn’t a weakness to Jayce, it was a product of profound strength battling the elements to save her and her son’s life.

Last summer I was on a very expedited acid come up at a music festival and my entirely unaware mother thousands of miles away was at costco and texted me incredulous at how they already had halloween stuff out for sale in the summer but all I saw was a message preview of a giant 10 foot tall skeleton with glowing eyes and "can u believe it??"
