“Every door on the second floor was open except one, and Neil heard the distant thump of something hitting the wall. He tried the knob, found it locked, and darted to the next door down to see what kind of wood the doors were made of. It was plywood-overlaid fiberboard with a hollow interior, easy enough to kick through.”
Neil is canonically a wood connoisseur apparently.

I loved the fic of the reader picking Simon up! Honestly I power lift for fun and my pr as of right now is 350 and as a 5’3 female powerlifter it’s hilarious picking up them men in my gym
Just solely because this is insanely impressive, more super strong reader!!more more more!!
👟🥊🏋️♀️♥️
In the bustle of you and Simon's respective, yet equally busy lives, there's one constant. Every morning, at the same time every morning, the two of you hit the gym together. Wake up at six to make protein shakes and get dressed to leave the house at six-thirty and be back home, showered and ready for work by quarter to eight. Every day - well, except Sundays, when your mornings tend to be spent wrapped up in one another's arms until the sun hangs high in the sky and you start to feel guilty about not getting up sooner.
For the two of you, the gym is one of the rare moments you get to spend just coexisting alongside one another, going about your respective tasks but with the added comfort of having an ever present and vigilant spotter, or someone to chat with between sets.
Of course, your favourite part of hitting the gym with your 6'2, SAS boyfriend is when you outdo him, and instead of being hurt, his masculinity wounded, he looks at you with nothing but immense and utter pride. To feel as though you don't have to tamp down your own strength and capability to protect his pride is so wonderfully, gloriously refreshing - and he's absolutely obsessed with how strong you are, too. Knowing you're able to hold your own and protect yourself when he's not there is a constant reassurance - that, and of course the fact that you and Simon are the envy of everyone at your gym.
👟🥊🏋️♀️♥️

thunderclash x gn! human reader
there isn’t many things out there for him 💔. this is about thunderclash trying to get at the reader, but reader has noooo idea who he is. this also might be a littleeeee bit of an x rodimus as well
warning: rodimus being salty
imagine thunderclash sauntering inside swerves bar for the first time on his temporary stay at the lost light, and his optics widening in a fraction of infatuation for the ships dear human
i think that him coming up to you trying to spit game while you have no clue who the hell he is is hilarious to me. i honestly think he’d be more than dumbfounded at your clueless expression as he tries to list off all his accomplishments and the notable reputation he’s established for himself.
he ignored the attention of mostly everyone just to get to you— and then for you to ask “who are you?” straight to his face
“aw man. its the man of the hour! he's coming straight for us!” swerve marveled at the mere sight of the autobot as he made confident strides towards the bustling bar top. thunderclash in all his charismatic glory, effortlessly slotted himself between you and the vacant barstool, giving you all his undivided attention. “or just coming straight for you… i guess,” swerve grumbled underneath his breath as he resumed wiping cups down.
“may i know your name?” he asks you sweetly. you offer him a MEAN side eye as you take one final sip of your concoction before fully turning to face this hulking mass of an autobot. you made a puzzled expression as your eyes drink him in. his striking appearance decked out in a few of the brightness colors possible practically blinded you.
“its y/n…” you answer slowly.
“y/n,” he repeats your name, testing it on his glossa. you straighten as you continue to look at him.
“since we’re getting names, what’s yours?” thunderclash physically looks taken back at your question. you were even more perplexed to see swerve in your peripheral mirroring the same look— maybe more exaggerated. thunderclash, who is so used to having fans clobber him to death and his name being thrown around by many, utterly shocked.
“y/n? don’t tell me you don’t know who thunderclash is?!” he exclaims, planting both of his servos on the counter, bewildered.
“no? should i know who he is?” you laugh off your defensiveness, your eyes flickered between swerve and thunderclash awkwardly.
thunderclash definitely thought you’d be all “oh i know you! you did this and that and blah blah blah” but it was the exact opposite
he sat there for a good minute trying to get you to “ring a bell” on him and his name. overtime, he saw no change (poor thunderclash)
he thought if you knew his status, it would expedite the process of trying to get you as equally interested
not to say you weren’t impressed by his accomplishments and… whatever else he did. it was too much to count. at the end of the day, those things can mean nothing. but! you were flattered by his efforts in trying to pursue you, but he had to work for you (as he should)
thunderclash also made the grave mistake of mentioning you to rodimus…! attempting to get a general idea of your interest due to discovering you and rodimus' close relationship.
“what did you just ask me?” he folded his arms firmly over his chassis, unimpressed. thunderclash released a nervous chuckle.
“i asked if you could tell me… some of their interests?” rodimus stayed unbearably silent before stepping up to jab a finger into his plating.
“ow! what the hell is up with your chest!? anyway, why are you so concerned with them?” he interrogated, relenting as he took a step back to further bathe thunderclash in his gaze of scrutiny.
“i find them fascinating— i want to get closer to them,” his faceplates shifted to one akin of being “lovestruck,” rodimus scoffed.
“how about you ask them yourself since you like them so much,” he sneered, looking away. thunderclash hummed, oblivious to rodimus’ internal conflict with his arising emotions.
“you’re right. that should be our next topic of discussion,” he said thoughtfully. rodimus perked up at his revelation. well that flopped!
“wait—”
“thank you, rodimus!”
rodimus sulked for the rest of the day like the baby he is
thunderclashes persistence reflected how enamored he was by you, it didn’t take you long to succumb to his endeavor of getting you to go out on a date with him
it went from gifting you the snacks or little trinkets you were fairly fond of, to him stuffing his processor full of your current interest so you could talk to him for hours and listen to your ramblings
lets just say… he successfully wooed you! #gothunderclash. soon enough, he had you whisked away on a date he thought would be full of enjoyment
don’t worry rodimus will have his time to shine! (i hope) he had no break as he had to sit there, pretending to care about your growing relationship with the legendary autobot as you ranted to him

Watching you read Red Robin is so funny bc I'm hooting and hollering, that's my favorite comic run and my favorite boy, I could (and eventually will) go on to write analysis on each comic that would be a pretty impressive essay
And then you're a Dick guy so it's like
Me:
You:
Wait now I feel kinda bad 😭
Dick Grayson is just my guyyyyy. I hunt for scraps of him being mentioned and what the characters think about him and his relationships and his development and—
It’s an amazing run so far! The twists and turns are honestly a religious experience and I’m a huge fan of how Tim spirals and pushes people away after Bruce’s “death” until he resurfaces in Gotham with everyone he cares about helping him bc he is NOT Batman. Kid has friends and it’s so cool to see how many people come together to help him get one over on Ra’s. Also, I shit you not his hit list is 1. Objectively funny and 2. Soooo cool in how one take down perfectly leads to the next. He’s a detective in his own right!!!! His commitment to all bits is hilarious too. Like the fake spinal injury to throw of Vicki is so funny to me. It’s a year long bit.
Not to fucking mention his reintegration into the “bats” where dick (thus far) upholds his initial promise of them being equals by trusting him without needing full explanations and not scolding him like a child when he does something considered wrong. Like fight a ten yr old. Instead dick kinda accepts that’s how Tim and Damian are going to be and compromises his own preferences by saying he (dick) is going to have to learn to live with it. Tim’s trustworthy! He’s respected! His friends and family love him.
Also Stephanie brown is here and she’s a fucking delight as always.
#I love me some analysis so pls share ir ideas if u ever feel up to it!!!#idk if it’s my mindset but when I pick up a comic all my analysis skills fall out of my ears in favor of WOOOOOOOOO TAHTS SO COOL OMG LOOK#ITS DICK GRAYSON#and manga ^#it’s truly unfortunate#get me some classic lit tho and I’ll go off#never be able to shut me up#my favorite position is the one that starts with juxta#I think I’m funny lmao#dc#ask

Angel Crowley kind of reminds me of one of those nepo babies who has never had anything bad happen to them ever in their life. Cannot even concieve of the idea of being punished or reprimanded. And I think that's more of an indication to me that he was high ranking than anything else? In my experience, that kind of naivety and ignorance usually comes from a place of privilege. That and the way he's like,,, thoughtlessly waving over cherubim and ordering around Aziraphale, who is ALREADY well acquainted with how the hierarchy works. It gives off the impression that AWCW has never been told "no" before.
honestly the concept of crowley in any way, shape, or form being a nepo baby is hilarious to me✨
but imo, there are a couple of key points here (and taking a possibly more serious tone than you might possibly have intended but fuck it im the captain of this good ship):
other than possibly the consequence of being rapped on the knuckles by your supervisor, i don't think there's any concept of punishment in heaven at this point, or at least nothing to be legitimately afraid of - god is all-knowing and benevolent, and forgiveness is a virtue anyway (even though presumably sin and forgiveness also do not exist yet as concepts) so in which case why would AWCW conceive of this idea?
(and why does aziraphale seem to?)
i fluctuate between him being high-ranking, and being of middle rank... and the sheer fact that it's quite heavily implied that crowley was once a high-ranking angel makes me think - in fact - he might not have been as important as we or indeed he likes to think.
i too think AWCW was definitely privileged!!! but i think it's privilege that is borne of innocence - all of the angels seem to be sheltered, ignorant to suffering and naive to pain, because to them the worst has not happened.
on one hand, i don't really see AWCW's behaviour as any much different to muriel's when they first arrive on earth, full of wonder and curiosity... but on the other, muriel has themself suffered - loneliness and isolation - which definitely is something that we see in crowley.
i do think that equally, AWCW is a bit of an arse. i don't see it as malicious, but definitely egotistical. for me, it's borne out of genius and being enraptured with his own creation that anything else is just... background. his only concern is bringing his imagination, his design, to life - and the only time he seems to really engage with aziraphale is when aziraphale is complimenting it, or innocently telling him the fate of it.
maybe it is because he's never been told "no" before, or maybe it's because he's never paid attention to when he'd been told "no", or that noone has ever had the cause to tell him "no", or that noone ever considered him worthy of a conversation where "no" would come up, or because "no" is an answer to a question AWCW never thought, or got, to ask.
just my thoughts!!!✨

alright if I only had time to watch either sleuth of ming dynasty or mysterious lotus casebook which would you recommend and why 🎤
hehe hi shane. it's interesting that u compare these two bc they're both (mostly) short-form mystery based so in that way they feel similar. also they are equal levels of extremely hilarious too me <3 although both have some plot elements that are a bit darker, they both are generally pretty lighthearted and funny which I enjoy a lot.
tsomd
first of all it was produced by jackie chan and has really fantastic action choreography... I'm not really a great judge but I would say it's more impressive in that way than mlc (in my very humble opinion)
really food focused and has lots of great cooking montages
better cast of interesting women between these two
mlc
mlc is wuxia so if that's more of what you're interested in I would go here. so in other words mlc feels more like historical fantasy whereas tsomd feels more like historical fiction... although neither fit neatly into those boxes
I liked the score more in mlc than in tsomd, which I mention specifically bc I think you specifically would care <3
better writing as a whole I think... at least in the way where I was consistently engaged the entire time. honestly tsomd lost me a couple of times about 2/3 of the way through
so it depends on what you like but if you asked me for an answer straight up I would say mlc is more enjoyable than tsomd but I do really like them both... and since I recently finished mlc I'm biased <3

What do you think are Akashi and Furihata’s greatest personality strengths and weaknesses? Why? What do you love about their dynamic? Sorry if you've answered these questions before.....
P.s
If you want to answer the questions above with Zuko and Sokka's dynamics, I don't mind....
OOh i haven't answered this before (I'm like, 60% sure, but i feel like I did, either ways I'm answering).
Akashi Strengths: He's committed, unrelenting in pursuit of his goals, never gives up, ruthless and dedicated. I like his ambition and wish I had even an ounce of that. He's also very confident and assertive.
Weaknesses: Doesn't know how to cope when his plans do fail, he crumbles like a cookie. He's so controlling and I think he has this set, specific plan, and if it doesn't go the way he expects he just collapses with no way to get back up.
Furihata
Strengths: Determination, resilience, commitment, dedication. I think he's also the type to like, go all in if he's doing something. He joined the basketball club to impress a girl but he eventually gets more invested in b-ball to the point he just never mentions the girl again and keeps training despite knowing he'll never match up to GoM.
Weaknesses: Quick to get scared, low confidence. I honestly can't think of any prominent or truly debilitating weaknesses for Furihata. Like I always say his most memorable scenes are of him freaking out but who wouldn't in the situations he was put in? And even then, he recovered and kept going. He's got a lot of small shortcomings like any regular human but he recovers from it pretty quick.
I love the AkaFuri dynamic because of the way their strengths and weaknesses compliment each other. While Akashi on the outside looks very strong, immovable even, we see how quickly he kinda collapses when he's faced with even the prospect of failure. Furihata on the other hand is very familiar with falling short, he knows full well that he doesn't know everything or has the ability to overcome people better than him, but he tries anyways. Akashi on the other hand, would freeze if he doesn't have a plan. I think Furihata can teach Akashi that it's fine to fail sometimes, that's how you learn. Losing isn't something to fear and even that allows you to have good takeaways.
Akashi knows his own worth and can figure out his caoabilities, and I think that kinda ability to evaluate onself can help Furihata gain confidence in himself.
They seem like they'd get along if they got to properly speak, and I have a hc(which I'm convinced would be canon) that in the tird-year, Furi would be team captain for Seirin and Akashi is obviously for Rakuzan. There's this character bible that says Furihata' the one who gets the first-years of Seirin, including Kagami and Kuroko, to do what they're supposed to. I think the word used for him was something like 'mediator' or 'leader'. So, Captain x Captain!!!! The boy who once cowered and couldn't even stand against Akashi meeting him on equal footing!!!
ONTO ZUKKA!!
Sokka
Strengths: Creativity, resilience, leadership skills, he's very practical, ability to stay calm in difficult circumstances, surprisingly forgiving.
Weaknesses: Doesn't ask anyone for help, bottles up his insecurities and emotions, pessimistic, cynical as hell.
Zuko
Strengths: Strength of character, he's like a cockroach he just keeps coming back he cannot be defeated, inner strength, this ability to just love people, compassionate(yeah, wild).
Weaknesses: He's a one trick pony imo like man has 5 moves, doesn't think anything through, not very good at communication.
I like their dynamic because of the Boling Rock episodes tbh. They make a very good team, it's the compliment of Brain & Brawn. They also have the Akafuri thing, where Sokka needs all his plans to go exactly right or he freaks out, while Zuko is familiar with failing and so he can teach Sokka how to embrace that. They're both such nerdy dorks in their own way, and I think their interactions are hilarious.
thanks for the ask anon!!

A review I recently received on FanFiction.net:
The bio of this user:
I was gonna laugh this off and just delete it, but I thought I’d share. I understand the need for rules, but I honestly find this hilarious. A self-appointed purity police officer that seems like just a random person who’s taken it upon themselves to cleanse the website is equally pathetic, funny, and concerning.
Unfortunately, this review on a fic I cross posted to ff.net serves as a reminder of why ff.net traffic has slowly dwindled down to a trickle, and why Ao3 needs to remain the amazing, uncensored place that it is.
God bless Ao3 and the freedom it provides.
**disclaimer: before uploading the fics I have to ff.net, I was under the impression that the content guidelines outlawed dead dove content, not anything sexual or violent at all. I underestimated just how bad it had gotten over there.
#no one bother coming to this post to troll your ass off if you don’t agree#censorship is a gateway to full freedom of speech lockdown and it is wrong no matter what#you are responsible for yourself#FanFiction#ao3#fanfic#writing#censorship#book banning#website censorship#FanFiction.net#ff.net#creative writing#guess it’s just sunshine and daisys with friends holding hands and nothing ever bad or intimate happens over at ff.net

Vaelyn’s Journal
(A glimpse into the journal Vaelyn left when he disappeared after the fire at a Toad Biscuit show)
(A continuation of this fic can be read here, and LET ME TELL YOU, WORTH THE READ.)
Nebralis 3rd, 4777
Well, here I am—journaling. Never thought I’d sink to this level, but Rexar said I needed a hobby that wasn’t, and I quote, “making everything about myself” or “picking fights for fun.” He doesn’t get it; those are my hobbies, Rex. But no, apparently, scribbling in a notebook counts as productive. So congrats, journal, you’re officially my new therapist. Sorry in advance for the mess you’re about to witness. At least you don’t charge by the hour.
Tour’s been insane lately—in the best way possible. Last night’s crowd was on another level. I swear my ears are still ringing from the sheer volume of people screaming our lyrics back at us. There’s nothing like it. That wall of sound? It’s like an electric current running through your veins, charging every nerve, making you feel invincible. For those two hours, you’re not just a guy on a stage; you’re a god, and they’re your worshippers. It’s addictive, man. Makes all the sleepless nights, shitty gas station snacks, and the occasional questionable motel worth it.
Oh, and “Inferno’s Lament”? Absolutely nailed it. I mean, not to toot my own horn, but I shredded that riff so hard the strings were practically begging for mercy. Rex didn’t even try to steal my thunder for once. I caught him smirking, though. He’s sneaky like that. He’d rather choke on his own pride than admit it outright, but I know he was impressed. It’s the little things, you know?
Kriia, on the other hand, is a one-woman health brigade. This morning, she stormed onto the bus wielding a blender full of something green, chunky, and entirely too suspicious. “It’s for your immune system,” she said, like that explained the fact that it smelled like a lawnmower threw up. I choked it down like a champ because I’m nothing if not a team player, but let me tell you, grass has no business being in liquid form. Pretty sure my taste buds are filing a formal complaint.
Speaking of the bus, it’s becoming more of a madhouse with each passing day. Rexar’s got his guitar permanently glued to his hands, Kriia’s organizing everything like she’s running a military operation, and I’m just trying to keep up with it all. Life’s chaotic, exhausting, messy—and I love it.
Here’s hoping it stays this way.
(Also, note to self: figure out how to casually bring up to Rexar that we need actual snacks on this bus. If I see another bag of stale chips, I might riot.)
Nebralis 10th, 4777
You’ll never believe what I pulled off last night, journal. During soundcheck, I might’ve cranked my amp up to 11. Not metaphorically. Literally. The poor speakers didn’t stand a chance. One minute, everything’s normal, and the next, there’s this unholy screeching noise followed by a very satisfying pop. The crew was pissed—like, “ready to string me up with guitar cables” pissed—but the look on Rex’s face? Priceless. He looked like he was one bad chord away from punting me straight into next week. Worth every penny it’s going to cost to fix the damage.
That said, Rex has been… weird lately. Normally, his broody “I’m too cool to smile” shtick is just part of his charm, but recently it’s like he’s carrying around the weight of the world on his overly muscled shoulders. Case in point: I made what I thought was a hilarious crack about his hair looking like it had gone twelve rounds with a weed whacker and lost. Usually, he’d fire back with something equally brutal (and probably funnier), but this time? He just gave me this weird, disappointed look, like I’d kicked his dog or something. It was unsettling, honestly. Note to self: retire the hair jokes until further notice.
Anyway, back to more important things—my music. I’ve been working on a new song, and let me tell you, it’s a beast. Heavy as hell, with a gnarly breakdown that’s going to melt faces and maybe even break a few bones. The kind of track that makes the crowd go feral in the pit. I’m calling it "Oblivion’s Grasp," and yeah, I know it sounds pretentious, but it fits. It’s got this raw, almost primal energy that just screams “instant classic.” Rex hasn’t heard it yet, but I’m banking on it being the thing to snap him out of his funk.
Tour life is exhausting, yeah—barely any sleep, running on gas station coffee, and constantly surrounded by people who are way too chipper for their own good—but it’s moments like these that remind me why I love it. The chaos, the adrenaline, the thrill of creating something that can make thousands of people lose their minds all at once.
Now, if only Rexar would stop looking like a kicked puppy, and Kriia would stop trying to make me drink liquid spinach every morning, life would be perfect.
Nebralis 22nd, 4777
Something’s wrong.
It started small—barely noticeable. Just this weird pressure in my head, like someone pressing their thumb into my temples. At first, I brushed it off as another headache or maybe the lack of sleep catching up to me. But now… now, it’s whispers. Faint, almost inaudible, like a distant radio frequency that keeps cutting in and out. They’re constant, though. They ebb and flow like waves, just loud enough to make me turn my head, only to find… nothing. Every. Single. Time.
I haven’t told Rex or Kriia. What would I even say? “Hey, by the way, I’m hearing voices now. Cool, right?” They’d just worry, and the last thing I need is Rex launching into another lecture about “self-care” or Kriia dragging me off the bus to meditate under a tree or some shit. Besides, Rex is already on my case. He’s been riding me about snapping at the crew, and yeah, okay, maybe I’ve been a little… prickly lately. But it’s like my patience is razor-thin, and everything—everything—feels like it’s grating against my nerves.
We had another fight today. I don’t even remember how it started. Something about my amp, maybe? Or was it the soundcheck schedule? Doesn’t matter. It ended with Rex storming out, his footsteps heavy and furious, and Kriia giving me that look. You know the one—the look that says, “You’re better than this, and you know it.” But am I, though? Because right now, I don’t feel better. I feel… cracked. Like there’s something sharp and dark splintering just beneath the surface, waiting for the right moment to break through.
I can’t shake this feeling, either. Like something’s watching me. Always just out of sight, hovering in the corners of my vision. It’s stupid, right? Stress, exhaustion, maybe even a touch of guilt over how I’ve been acting. That’s all it is. Except… sometimes I’ll catch a flicker of movement—a shadow where there shouldn’t be one. Or I’ll hear my name in those whispers, just faint enough that I can convince myself I imagined it.
I’m probably just stressed. Or tired. Or maybe…
...Maybe it’s something else.
Nebralis 37th, 4777
I haven’t slept in three days.
Every time I close my eyes, the shadows come alive. They don’t just move—they writhe and twist like they have a purpose, like they’re watching me, judging me. Sometimes they take shapes: faces I don’t recognize, with mouths stretched too wide, eyes that don’t blink. It’s like they’re daring me to look away, and when I don’t, they dissolve back into darkness, leaving behind this awful itch in the back of my mind.
And the voices… they’re louder now. No longer faint whispers in the distance, they’re right in my ear, hissing and mocking, their words just out of reach. Sometimes, I think I catch a phrase—“failure,” or “liar,” or “you don’t belong here”—but it’s so fleeting, I can’t be sure. I feel like I’m being haunted, stalked by something I can’t see but know is there.
I’m losing it.
Rex and I had another blow-up today. I don’t even know what set it off. He said I’m “impossible” lately, and he’s not wrong. I can feel it, too—this creeping, suffocating sense that everything is spiraling out of control and I’m powerless to stop it. I lashed out at him. I could see the hurt in his eyes before he stormed out, but I didn’t stop him. What could I even say? Sorry I’m losing my mind, please don’t take it personally?
Kriia tried to step in, like she always does, her calm, steady voice trying to pull me back to reason. But I snapped at her too. It was worse this time. Her face fell, and for the first time, I saw real pain in her expression. She didn’t say anything, just left the room quietly, and now I can’t stop thinking about how much she didn’t deserve that. None of them do. They’re trying to help, but every time they reach out, it feels like claws digging into my skin.
If this is what losing your mind feels like, I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. It’s like being trapped in a box where the walls are closing in, and you’re screaming, but no one can hear you—or worse, they can hear you, but they don’t know how to get you out.
The worst part? I’m afraid to tell them what’s really happening. How do you explain to your best friends that the shadows are watching you? That the voices are getting louder? That every time you blink, you’re afraid something will be there when your eyes open again?
I’m terrified. But even more than that, I’m ashamed.
Eclipsin 2nd, 4777
Tonight’s going to be epic.
We’re playing one of the biggest venues of the tour—massive stage, insane acoustics, sold-out crowd. The kind of show every musician dreams of. And I’ve been planning something special: a surprise pyro effect during “Burn the Sky.” I spent hours setting it up, tweaking the timing, making sure it’s flawless. When it goes off, it’s gonna blow Rex’s mind.
He needs it, too. The guy’s been in this weird, brooding headspace lately, even more than usual. I mean, I get it—touring is exhausting, and dealing with me can’t be a picnic. But tonight, when he sees those flames shoot up on cue, he’ll have no choice but to crack that stoic exterior. Maybe he’ll even smile. Hell, I might faint if that happens.
The whispers are quieter today. I’m not gonna lie, it feels like a win. Maybe it’s the adrenaline, or maybe I’m finally starting to beat this thing. Or maybe—get this—I just needed a good distraction. Who knew the cure for existential dread and auditory hallucinations was obsessing over pyrotechnics? Thanks, science.
Anyway, I feel good. Really good. My head’s clearer, and for the first time in weeks, I’m not jumping at shadows or snapping at everyone like a rabid dog. It’s like the fog is finally lifting.
Rex and Kriia still give me these side-eye glances, like they’re waiting for me to combust or something. Can’t really blame them; I have been a bit of a nightmare. But tonight, I’ll remind them why we’re out here doing this.
This show is going to be legendary. The crowd’s gonna scream their lungs out, Rex is gonna lose his cool when he sees the pyro, and for once, everything’s gonna feel right again.
And hey, if the flames accidentally singe Rex’s eyebrows off… well, that’s just a bonus.
Eclipsin 5th, 4777
What have I done?
The fire… it spread so fast. One moment, the crowd was screaming in excitement, their energy electric and feeding the stage. The next, their screams turned to panic, to terror. Smoke, flames, chaos—it’s all a blur in my mind, fragmented and broken like a smashed mirror.
I remember the pyro. I was so sure it would be perfect, that it would blow Rex’s mind and leave the crowd breathless. But something went wrong. Or maybe I went wrong. My mind feels like it’s full of holes, memories slipping through the cracks. I keep replaying that moment in my head, but it’s like trying to watch a shattered movie reel.
People got hurt. People… died.
I can still see their faces, distorted by the flames. Some were terrified, running for their lives, while others… others were laughing. Twisted, horrible laughter, echoing over the roar of the fire. Was it real? Or just another trick of my broken mind? I don’t know anymore.
I saw Rex, just for a moment. He was looking at me—no, through me—like I was a stranger. Like I was something dangerous. And Kriia… she wouldn’t even meet my eyes. That look of betrayal, of fear… it’s burned into my memory as vividly as the fire itself.
I ran.
I didn’t know what else to do. The smoke, the heat, the chaos—it all swallowed me whole, and I ran. My legs carried me out of the venue before my brain could catch up. The shadows were everywhere, crawling along the edges of my vision, twisting into grotesque shapes that felt too real to ignore. And the voices—they were louder than ever, screaming accusations, calling me a monster, telling me this was all my fault.
Maybe they’re right.
I can’t remember how I got out. I only know that I didn’t stop running until my legs gave out beneath me. I woke up… somewhere. A cheap motel, I think. The walls were stained, and the air reeked of mildew, but I didn’t care. I was too afraid to leave.
It wasn’t until today that I finally checked my phone. Rexar’s messages were there, a flood of frantic texts, each one worse than the last. He said he saw me leave the venue, but I haven’t responded. What could I even say? “Hey, Rex, sorry I burned down the place and killed people. Let’s grab lunch soon!”?
The voices won’t stop. They whisper every horrible thing I’ve ever thought about myself, clawing at the inside of my skull. And the shadows—they’re still here, slithering just out of reach, mocking me with their presence.
I can’t shake the feeling that something is chasing me, something I can’t outrun. Maybe it’s the Oblivion. Maybe it’s just me.
But one thing is clear. I can never go back. Not to the band, not to Rex, not to Kriia.
….I’m not sure who I am anymore, but whoever I was died in that fire.

"You've improved so much compared to your first lesson! Marvelous!" She praises him, impressed with the quick progress. Naturally, Zarina expected him to be quick about this, but it was even better. His potential shined brightly, and her excitement over it did not die over, wilting like a candleflame. Instead, he continued to feed the fire of emotions, bringing in a variety of possibilities and impressive improvements.
They are close, finishing yet another dance taught before. Did he practice at home to impress her or did he memorize the steps so quickly? She doesn't dive to know, because the results are what matters to her. His hand on her waist, another hold her hand. Hers holding his and another on his shoulder, the distance is almost non existent, especially now that they stopped.
Zarina doesn't look away from Lighter's expression, searching for any showcase of emotion and what he might be feeling in the moment. Dance is a language not many can speak, but he learns it and shows it. There are many dances they can learn together, slower and closer or faster with more spins to make their bones work to the fullest. They are fighters and warriors, they know the language of weaponry and survival, but there are so many to learn aside the speech of battle. Tonight, they learn another way to express their feelings and tomorrow they'll learn another way to discover more about each other.
"My, you're just gaining confidence to make me want to teach you tango next," she laughs, letting her fingers on his shoulder tap out a melody of the dance. "But before that, want stay for dinner? I'll fix us something. It's getting late and I stole enough of your time without a payback. What do you say, Lighter?" Or must she return him to Sons of Calydon right now before 10 PM or something? It'd be quite a comedy to go to Caesar and do that.
Now that was the sort of praise he wanted to hear. By no means as a sign of arrogance, but in the means of direction. There was a boon to Zarina's more direct approach in both conversations and action. No number of hidden signs required to be gleaned, only a case of 'what you see is what you get.' His broad hand remained eclipsing her's, undoing a touch of firmness in the name of a softer squeeze while they settled close. The dance of his heart through a more timely exertion continues to hold a swift pace.
"Honestly speakin'? 'Talking' like this is something my body tends to favor just as much. Muscle memory has perks that I contently want to hold close."
There habe been nights where he'd come to roll those earlier videos on his phone, utilizing a method similar to 'Shadow boxing' in order to make the ends meet. Homework was the bread and butter to sharpen both drive and the skills of his body. For the time being, the sight before him felt like a reward well deserved, watching the way she beamed after their outright hilarious night a few days back. Mind you, there wasn't an ounce of regret in anything done that day.
Laughter settled in that wellspring of a memory that had caught him in many spontaneous moments the days following. Unconsciously, his fingers curled at the fabric of her shirt along her waist, left contemplative while he captures the way she shines. Was it just his imagination, or did Zarina find herself coming to anticipate these days with an equal amount of excitement? Their proximity held a more natural comfort, even while they were practically chest to chest, the teamwork continually refined made things simple.
"Think I'd turn down another conversation? You didn't pull any punches in showing the ropes. In my book, that says we need to be a decent rep of these that we can play with. O' gracious one." Despite the playful title, a sincere grasp of gratitude was held in his chest. In unintended ways this rings nostalgic, in other ways it felt like an appropriate memory that's simply earned. Being able to actively carve his own place in that old curiosity offered fulfillment to Lighter.
SPEAKING of fulfillment-- That offer she just made?
A thoughtful hum escapes, a touch of dramatics added in his posture as his head lulled one way to another. "Lemme weigh the options. More time wit'cha, a hearty meal awaiting, not to mention me, you n' Lamboo can park up at the couch for a good moment afterwards? Decisions, decisions, especially when there's some heads I likely have to bust around." A soft snort escapes as his poorly hidden circumstance was already about to be in shambles.
He'd give her a firm pat upon the back, light dancing within his irises while he pulled her into a momentary spin, the both of them gaining mindless view of all the room's features before bringing them to a pause.
"If it's okay with you, I'd like to be a bit more greedy. Given the time, you wanna go nab some take out together? Or did you already have something set beforehand, Zarina?"
@zorkaya
#zorkaya#| Shuttle Mail#this ask was a perfect idea since#I imagine in the thread they'd just say 'fuck it' cause hang out time won over LOL#but also I like the realm of this being a continuous deal#From lessons to just 'hey y'know let's spice it up a bit'. have a dance while literally talking#Makes for fun duo exercise

Spooky Season 2024: The grand finale, 46-50
Midnight Ride (dir. Bob Bravler, 1990)
A runaway housewife picks up a homicidal maniac played by Mark Hamill. This movie is hilariously bad and I'm sad it's not a cult classic.
The Avenging Conscience (dir. DW Griffith, 1914)
A Poe-obsessed young man kills his controlling uncle. You've read Poe-- you know this doesn't end well. An early DW Griffith feature, it's mostly ponderous, with the exception of some fun camp and a gloriously fake skeleton in the latter quarter.
Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (dir. Rouben Mamoulian, 1931)
My favorite version of the classic story and arguably the most sophisticated horror movie of the pre-code era, this version of Jekyll and Hyde never fails to impress and move me. It's technically dazzling-- especially for the early sound era-- and packed with fascinating subtext. Not to mention, the acting is amazing across the board... except that one weird kid early on-- you know, the "I CAN WALK SIRR OHHH I CAN WALK SURRRRRR." Where'd they even get that kid?
Bluebeard (dir. George Melies, 1901)
My favorite Melies film, it's a straightforward adaptation of the classic fairy tale. While it starts out comic, the tone becomes progressively more macabre as the movie goes along.
The Black Cat (dir. Edgar Ulmer, 1934)
A honeymooning, all-American married couple are stranded in a modernist mansion that becomes the site of a long-lasting feud between Bela Lugosi and Boris Karloff. Worst honeymoon ever.
I spent Halloween night watching The Black Cat, one of the weirdest, perviest classic horror films of the 1930s. Part allegory of the lingering collective trauma of World War I, part illogical, vibes-driven nightmare, it's a brisk 64 minutes and a lot of fun, if only to see Lugosi and Karloff square off. Honestly, this is easily my favorite of their collaborations, because it feels like the only one where they were both given equal footing in the script.

In my opinion SJM’s writing has declined because of the length of time between books. She used to pump out one book per series each year, equaling 2 books a year. She has said her writing style is not outling, she knows the big points of what will happen but she likes to go on the journey with the characters, and she also writes chronologically and won’t skip ahead to write other scenes. IMO this worked when she was writing quickly because she occupied the same headspace and could smoothly go from one book onto the next. Now that she’s averaging 1-2 years between books (4, in ACOTAR’s case) I think each book feels sort of off and almost OOC. Notice how ACOFAS was the last book she published on that quick timeline, and that was the last book that didn’t have these flaws IMO. She writes based on where she is and how she’s feeling in her current life, so each book will have a different feel to it rather than continuous. She drops plotlines and characters because she loses interest in them as she goes, IMO. I’m not blaming her for the long wait times, I know her life is different now and she needs to do what she needs to do for her personal life. I just think she should consider with her editor how to improve going forward.
Yes, that could be. I have seen a significant decline in her last 3 books. Frankly, ACOSF, HOSAB and HOFAS are just not very good. They are disjointed, they lack the emotional impact that her previous books had, multiple throw away storylines, and extremely lucklustre romances. Even mentally, she keeps lurching from world to world, without keeping them separate in her head, which results in hilariously awkward things such as Cassian knowing about 'lactic acid' and Nesta using the expression 'kill switch'. it's just messy, like the unimpressive romances that she keeps writing. She assassinated Nessian in ACOSF, which was one of her most compelling and interesting pairings back in ACOMAF and ACOWAR. She rushed through Day and Night, without building anything meaningful between them. Quinlar, after CC1 was a mess as well.
I don't know. Between having children, covid and 10 moves back and forth across America, the woman needs to sit down and consider what she wants to do. She clearly cannot write multiple series at the same time. She also needs a goddamn editor, who will tell her, hey Sarah, that's not what you said here. Hey Sarah, this is a continuity error. Hey Sarah, you've used the same expression 74 times in the past 15 pages. Hey Sarah, you've dropped 6 storylines--don't you think it's wasteful? Are you just writing for word count? Hey Sarah, perhaps concentrate on writing fewer characters, but writing them well.
I know she sells like crazy, but honestly, I've been less than impressed with her latest offerings.
I wish I could feel the sense of excitement and overwhelming love that I felt when I was reading ACOTAR for the first time. Where I was sucked into the story and didn't want to let go.

So I already asked this before, but here I am asking you to do it again cause I honestly really enjoy reading about how you view each of the relationships in decto. So if it's not too much to ask will you do a part 3 just rambling about other relationships in decto. Also I'm glad my last ask made you that happy, and don't worry take as long as you like there's no rush to make them.
Anon-san. Dear. Darling. You are truly a blessing, a pure source of joy, a beauty in this measly existence we call a life. I would have never thought you'd come back for more rambling. Just. Thank you. So much.
And I'm happy you enjoyed my previous ramblings, and I hope you will enjoy this one too.
Notes, as always:
as in the previous asks relating to the ship opinion bingo, i interpret relationships in the broadest possible sense
i check everything that makes sense to me, even if they seem contradictory; i view them applied to different situations/universes/possibilities
*rolls up sleeves* Ok, now buckle up.
I. Akai Shuuichi/Okiya Subaru - Kudou Shinichi/Edogawa Conan (and The Kudous)
The Silver Bullet Duo (and the Parents Partners In Crime)
They just... have such a fascinating dynamic.
Akai, first learning about this lil kiddo through investigating Vermouth (Cool Guy) and as they started interacting, treating this boy as an equal despite him (seemingly) being a child. The fact he is openly impressed by Conan/Shinichi ("You always amaze us, boy."); I cannot put into words how important it is to me that Akai respects this gremlin child. (ONE OF thE BESt INVEstigAtoRS IN JAPAN HE SAID!!!!) Shinichi Being all sus of the guy at first, only to find a great mind in him, an amazing scheming partner, someone he can trust to protect his friend. They are not only on the the same wavelength (not even being in the same place) but make a very effective as a team; the sheer compatibility.
But also their actual first meeting BEING: SHINICHI BASICALLY CALLING AKAI SHUUICHI A CLOWN. INCREDIBLE.
And also, Akai being one of the precious few who knows about this lil gremlins identity. It's so important to me; as someone who dearly wants and aches for Shinichi to share his identity with at least a few other people, I cherish all individuals who are aware of his true identity. Not to mention, that the identity reveal to Akai was one of the most hilarious things I have ever witnessed. (Shinichi literally outing himself because he is too comfortable, too at ease in his own home and around these people, and distracted by Ran and solving the mystery, he forgets to be cautious. THIS FCKIN CHILD I LOVE HIM.)
And Akai constantly hinting at his real identity gets me so bad too. They are so precious to me.
And then there is the whole Akai-Yukiko & Yuusaku dynamic too. He literally became part of this oddball of a family? (YUKIKO tAUGHt HIM to COOK I CANNOt???) FITTING IN WITH THEM SO EFFORTLESSLY. I LOVE THEM.
⊱✿⊰
II. Agasa Hiroshi - Kudou Shinichi/Edogawa Conan - Miyano Shiho/Haibara Ai (- Detective Boys Trio)
Found Family: "Sometimes a family is 1 middle-aged man, 2 fake and 3 real elementary students" as I like to say.
Not many scenes to share here (tho I will definitely collect them in my newest reread session) because I don't have the energy to look for them. BUT.
Agasa Hiroshi is a Good Man. He doesn't have to invent all that stuff for Shinichi BUT HE DOES. He doesn't have to help this lil gremlin out BUT HE STILL DOES. All the times he just drove him around, all the times he allowed himself to be used (with no advance notice which he keeps ASKING SHINICHI FOR, TO JUST LET HIM KNOW) as a way to solve a crime; EVERYTHING HE DOES, DESPITE KNOWING HOW DANGEROUS IT IS. The way he only helped Yukiko and Yuusaku with the mad plan (because IT IS MAD; ODDBALLS) of "kidnapping Edogawa Conan" because he thought it would help drive the point home, of how dangerous this whole business is. Agasa Hiroshi just wants what might be best and safest for Shinichi. Just being there for him, and if he cannot he lets others, who can, know (Yuusaku and Yukiko in the above scene, Heiji in desperate revival, and so on). He cares.
On the other side, Shinichi might seem like, he doesn't appreciate Prof Agasa much at first glance (his constant comments about Agasa creating junk, says the one who uses his inventions, HYPOCRITE), but god, he goes BALLISTIC WHEN IT COUNTS. (Kidnapping case, just to mention one off the top of my head.) Shinichi literally grew up with this weird adult figure around, he is like family to him, and he cares. Tons. He trusts Agasa Hiroshi, literally, with his life.
Moving on: another point of Prof being a really good man. The way he is with the kids. He literally goes out of his way, to take them out to places, spend time with them. Be it camping, or eating out, or invent stuff for them, cooking for them, or just getting a cake to eat together... He got attached to these kids (just like Shinichi himself) as they spent more and more time together, and cares a great deal about them. And the kids grew fond of him too, despite all the little comments and teasing. (Or as I see it: he is an adult figure to them that they are comfortable around, and are not afraid to say what they think.)
As for Ai. Exhibit C of Agasa Hiroshi being a really good, kind-hearted person.
Agasa Hiroshi picked up a girl that brings even more danger with her mere presence, and at this point she is not trustworthy. Who knows what she might do? But he took her in anyways. (Without talking to Shinichi too, which led to some Emotions and Yelling.) And as time went on, this girl, who constantly lives in fear of being discovered (fearing so much, that she even tries to let herself die, and considers leaving everyone behind to protect them), slowly crawls out of her shell, to just be a person. Ai and Agasa come to care about each other too, so deeply; there is no blood-relation between them, yet there is such a strong familial bond between the two. (People mistaking them as father and daughter!)
They are a weird lil family unit, your honour, and I care about them so. So. SO MUCH.
⊱✿⊰
III. Mouri Kogorou - Kudou Shinichi/Edogawa Conan - Mouri Ran
The Mouri Family Unit
I just love them. God. I do.
I love how Shinichi got integrated into Kogorou and Ran's everyday life (be it cleaning, or just checking he's there and didn't run off again LOL). I love the rare moments of Kogorou actually being parental, be it to the lil gremlin or Ran. (HE LOVES BOTH OF THEM YOUR HONOUR!!!
I adore the fact that they watch stuff together, and discuss it, I find it really sweet (and funny). Also the fact that they eat together. Eating together with loved ones is a very important point in my own life, and it's a really... "intimate" is not quite the word I'm looking for but... I guess a bonding thing. Something meaningful. And these 3 definitely do it most days. The way they are so comfortable around each other, and everyone has their own lil space at the table. I really adore the thought of Shinichi getting so used to the lil routines and bustle of the Mouri Household, that after he turns back, he'll miss it. Especially, how he was living alone for years before the Conanification, without his parents; the Mouris are such a strong contrast against that. (Post-Conan Shinichi, that moves back to the Kudou House, and finds it too big and quiet and lonely, just going over to Agasa's and the Mouris' all the time to be around his loved ones. Him spending most of his time at their places, so much, his stuff is slowly moved into both places. And No One says a thing about it, it just happens, and they all let it happen. Please. I'm WEAK.)
I also love to see them in various combinations: Ran-Shinichi teaming up against Occhan, but also Ran and Kogorou constantly being "WHERE IS THE CHILD" in their own ways, and Shinichi and Kogorou team up too (like the time they tailed Ran, or when Ran told them Araide will be in the play too, HAHA). Each is so very delightful for their own reasons.
Thank you so much for asking me (AGAIN!!!!) to talk about relationships, it means a lot tome, and I truly hope you enjoyed reading these! May you have a blessed day, darling.
#detective conan#la junk talks#manga#detco posting#asks#anon#i'll tell you a secret dear anon-san#i originally planned to do 6 of these but i have low battery energy in me#also i tend to spend way too much time looking up scenes... i went overboard with akai oh my god#so after that one i also tried to limit myself to just... things off the top of my head#so as not to spend TOO long on things#but gosh this is way too fun really#i'm just glad you enjoy these bc i never thought anyone would#also i have a tendency to go towards familial and platonic relationships. what a surprise lmao#(no not really.)#happy screaming and word vomit time to me#happy reading to you anon-san#also this took me longer than expected but i got way too busy and at times distracted#i really hope you won't miss this post gosh

Ah yes. All the Vidar+Hoder, Vidar+Vor, Vidar+Eraqus, and Vidar+Xehanort dynamics that exist only in my brain and totally don't cause me pain on a regular basis.
Vidar+Hoder is interesting for obvious reasons I think. They're both super on the side of light but you get the impression that Hoder is more willing to take direct action, disobey orders, and make difficult choices than Vidar is. Vidar tries to follow her example I think when pursuing Kingdom Hearts, but clearly something happened to make him get cold feet, probably involving Vor's influence. Honestly I don't think he actually had the heart to go through with it even from the very beginning, he just tried to force himself to be okay with it because in his mind it was still better than killing Baldr. Also it's so interesting that he frames his reluctance to kill Baldr as "I can't face my friend if I do". There may be several noble explanations provided for his actions (getting justice, stopping darkness) but there's still a deeply personal reason at the core of it (one that he only admits to Odin) and I love that.
I have. So many thoughts. About Vidar+Vor as I've mentioned before but what I've also mentioned before is that I can't really talk about it for Fic Writing reasons and that remains the same. God. I'm sorry. But I SWEAR their relationship has the potential to be so interesting for a number of a reasons. Trust me. Source: Me.
Vidar+Eraqus is interesting because at first it seems like Eraqus perhaps looks up to Vidar. Vidar is the first person Eraqus thinks of when asking the Mirror about the locations of the upperclassmen and he greets Vidar by name with a level of cheerfulness that suggests either familiarity or liking (even though Vidar gives him the cold shoulder in this scene which I think is HILARIOUS). Eraqus being a blue-blood with all these expectations on him paired with the likelihood that Vidar was being mentored by Odin to eventually take Odin's place makes me wonder if that's partially why Eraqus thinks Vidar is Cool or something. Look at this strong, capable, smart guy in a leadership position. That might be me one day. But then Eraqus' opinion of Vidar goes down the drain when Vidar convinces Vor to leave, even accusing Vidar of using Vor. And yet Vidar still tries to enlist Eraqus' aid in Agrabah because he knows how loyal to the light Eraqus is, so the anger and distrust is kinda one-sided. Eventually Eraqus becomes consumed by his anger and he picks a fight with Vidar at the end of the game, specifically because Vidar keeping Baldr's possession a secret led to all of Eraqus' friends dying. BUT THEN Vidar sacrifices himself to save Vor! So like? How does Eraqus FEEL about all of that? You're sort of responsible for my friends dying but you also gave up your own life to save my best friend? I don't know how to feel about you? It's complicated? AGH the potential of it.
Vidar+Xehanort it all comes down to the visitant line man. Treating Xehanort as this strange outsider. Like Xehanort doesn't belong in Scala despite him living there for 2 years at this point (and despite him being secretly from there). But then by the end of the game as Vidar dies he tells Xehanort that he's sorry and that it's up to him now. Like he's passing on the torch to Xehanort because now he considers him a trustworthy equal. Like I wish this tension and eventual resolution between them had been better explored in the game, but Vidar and Xehanort don't really get to interact much.

hiii this is the anon whose father looks like ralph macchio, i just finished watching all three karate kid movies (in one day) and uhhhhhhhhh WHAT is happening in tkk 3 oh my god and also by the third movie ralph macchio now looks like the white version of my dad and his brothers combined into one person so honestly maybe daniel larusso is actually three latino men in a trenchcoat or something i don't even know i start cobra kai tomorrow and i feel Mild Fear
congratulations on watching TKK3 and joining in the ??????????? club. no matter how much one explains TKK3, it's not the same as experiencing it
"three latino men in a trenchcoat" macchio is hilarious to me, it reminds me that he actually did play a latino character (for better or for worse) in the equally ??????????? play-that-only-exists-in-a-new-york-archive "cuba and his teddy bear" -- mr macchio plays the character "teddy" opposite robert de niro's "cuba"
one review described him in that play as "much cuddled, much cuffed" (I believe I'm not paraphrasing here). it's an intense piece about a somewhat incestuous relationship between father and son + said son's definite affair with a famous playwright who gets him addicted to heroin. RIP we're all still trying to find ways to get the recording of it viewable somewhere other than a single archive that you have to have special permission to access to watch a VCR tape on location
i feel like in cobra kai he comes across as far more his italian-american heritage (you let me know though), but I'd be curious as well in your feelings about him as coming from a poor background and by cobra kai he's quite firmly well-off, with said background not particularly explored, although there are exceptions (am thinking of especially [spoilers spoilers])
this not as a judgement of him, and I wouldn't anyway, because he's fictional, but merely as the microcosm of The American Dream As Story -- especially considering the original tkk starts out almost like a western and in cobra kai daniel and johnny have on the surface swapped places/power dynamics
I say "on the surface" because there is more than a little text written in this fandom (as I'm sure you've come across 😂) dedicated both to the in-universe Stuff, as well as the meta/Doylist analysis of why they are the way they are on the show
all of this to say, your first impression of daniel in cobra kai may be influenced greatly by the writers not... quite... getting..... what the whole idea was with daniel in the first place, which, I know there's a very particular comedy for you in that he's your dad + uncles white lookalike, but you've hit upon an interesting part of him that others have also mentioned and does exist As Tension in the original story, especially in relation to certain scenes with ali (such as the country-club scene, and in the early 80s I believe there were still country club's that didn't allow italians, but on top of that daniel is brown + working class!!!!!!!! three strikes -- anyway yeah, ali's parents are racist snobs)
The American Dream As Story / Immigration / Westerns + the contrast between daniel particularly in the first film vs (deliberately cast to be) pale blond militant Americuh boys + I think it's a reeeelatively? common experience for people (especially as kids who aren't necessarily thinking about details like the name "LaRusso") to read daniel as latino on the first watch. I've definitely seen more than one person say they were surprised when they got older to discover he's italian, but I cannot speak to this personally, since I... mumble watchedcobrakaifirst mumble....
forgive my ramble, but I am enjoying your asks a great deal and I hope that you enjoy the utter silliness that is cobra kai. and especially the fact that this time around the daniel stand-in (miguel) is actually latino! so in that sense at least, they managed to update the story (that and the other daniel stand-in is his daughter... and the third daniel stand-in..... ok ok you get the picture, the next gen can all be mapped onto an odd mix of daniel and johnny, almost like the show is accidentally making a story about two men whose relationship with one another literally includes raising a bunch of kids, which is... really gay of it)
forgive my extra tangenty ramble at the bottom
#asks ❤#❤ anon#tkk#the karate kid#daniel larusso#curiosity time: has anyone written fic in which daniel's dad was latino perhaps? and what country would you place him as coming from if so?#we DO have a small but respectable amount of jewish-lucille headcanons round and about#just mentioning because of the general daniel heritage narrative#cobra kai meta#ck meta

Soo, today, in Tower of Babyl episode
Bubs is a dick, gave some monster a Michael's wings and Cagliostro is pissed off
I honestly expected them to leave that ass
And yeah, there will 3 other monster with other Primarchs powers
I wonder if Mika felt that somebody else used her power...
Bubs is so damn amused that I hope he will get genius idea of recreating Lucifer's body and power as puppet and somehow ending with real Lucifer who is absolutely pissed off, because Sandalphon nearly died during fight or something. I just think it would be hilarious c:
oh that's actually so interesting
BUT ALSO THIS QUOTE FROM CAGS IM CRYING. GO QUEEN GO!! She's not going to forgive Beelzebub for NOT ONLY escaping her perfect trap, but then doing this sort of bullshit in front of her huh! GO CAGS GO IM CHEERING FOR YOU
as for the monsters with powers it's interesting. And it kinda gives this impression that Bubs is still trying to equal Lucilius in some way that he is now creating monsters using the primarches powers.
Mika would probably be really unwell about it. you already had to physically force her in accepting that she needs to let go of her duty, but now that she's chilling and finally found something else to enjoy in life, this fucker is causing chaos by copying her power? Mikachan go and wreck him.
but goodness for that ending lmao. we shall see if he even has enough power to do that. poor Sandalphon...
anyway my take away from it is really just that Cagliostro is the best, as always. thank you Cagliostro.
thanks for the update o7
