Lawson Headcanons

These have stayed in my head for too long and I finally posted them hhh

-He's not used to being addressed by his first name. He's constantly preoccupied with his work, and he's always addressed as "(Position) Lawson" for the purpose of professionalism. Walter was most likely the last and final person to address him as Justin. He was taken aback when someone (most likely Arthur) addressed him by his first name rather than his surname.

-Justin's meals usually have coffee, and he nearly lives on it. He favors his coffee without sugar.

-While in Ivory Hill, he lost Abigail's obituary. When he checked in his wallet, he realized it was missing. He may have misplaced it or it could have flown away. Despite this, he had a negative reaction to it after clinging to it for four years.

-He didn't sleep for days after Halsted shot him. Let's just say he didn't get much sleep during Capitol Peak.

-Walter was his childhood friend. They drifted apart following Abigail's death because Justin was in mourning. They talked sometimes and were on good terms.

-After Justin's death, Walter published his biography. Walter authored his old friend's history from his point of view after Capitol Peak, with no aim of justifying his conduct.

-Justin was an excellent student. He was always at the top of his class. Many of his professors admired him as a law student.

-He disliked being idolized when he was DA, judge, and deputy mayor. He became uneasy when he saw a bust of himself being appreciated by a large number of people.

-Justin kept Abigail's and his wedding rings. Abigail's father insisted on keeping them. He first thought it was pointless to keep them because Abigail wasn't there to wear the other one. In the end, he placed them in a locked box.

-He has a tendency to overreact to certain situations. Justin displays his feelings strongly in any situation, whether face to face or in writing.

-During his lifetime, Justin kept journals. When he became a lawyer, he began writing in one. What he recorded in these journals were things he observed in court, his strong opinions, whenever he visited Abigail's grave, what he witnessed in the courts and City Hall as a judge and Deputy Mayor, and much more.

-He can play the trumpet.

-In his house, Justin owns a sizable library.

-As a young man, Justin used to write articles for the Concordian Gazette as a side job while studying law.

-Intentionally framed his law degree alongside his wedding portrait with Abigail.

-Justin has an older sister.

-Wakes up at five a.m. to go for early morning walks.

-After becoming Deputy Mayor, he kept his judicial robe.

-It takes him 30 minutes to do his hair (I had beef when drawing his hair), and he makes sure his side part is perfect.

-After Maddie and the player turned their backs, Malcolm and him continued fistfighting until the cleaning staff broke them up. Justin took more damage.

-Once, after a failed meeting with the mayor, he destroyed a chair when Malcolm interrupted them and whisked the mayor away to a dinner.

-Stopped eating Rochester's chocolates once Archie became his assistant.

-He wears shoes with low heels to make himself appear taller.

-It's unusual to see him smile sincerely at times.

-Resented Arthur for not prosecuting criminals more severely (in his opinion).

-Has an intricate correspondence with Arthur. Its highly professional, yet both of them are rather close to an extent.

-The pocket watch on his waistcoat was a present from Arthur when he became a lawyer, and it bears a passage from a book he knew he enjoyed.

-Likes long train rides over traveling by ship.

-Unlike Katherine, his frequent presence at the airship is sometimes surprising.

best part of the locked tomb is if it was ANY other story naberius would be the number one guy. he’s a prince and somehow also a bodyguard and he’s a gifted fighter and devoted to the princesses and he has swoopy hair and dreamy eyes and no one gives a shit, because they’re all married/gay/focused on the actual plot. naberius is the lost love interest from a shitty ya fantasy novel that culminates in a love triangle between him, corona, and silas. this man is harry styles in a room full of lesbians
