Okie so I was thinking about requesting for a while but never stuck with an idea. Maybe something with a reader who has been neighbors with the graves since they lived in the apartments. Like they’re a tad younger than Ashley (about two years) and looks up to the both of them like they’re older siblings and follows them around like a lost puppy. Like reader’s parents would want them to make friends with other kids but they refuse because “I want Leyley and Andy:(“ . They’re a little too touchy during childhood to both siblings, and it might bother Andrew and Ashley (Ashley a little more than Andrew lol) but eventually the neighbor mellows out. They’re still sweet and kind to those around them but they’re not as physically touchy and trying to talk to other people. Like, reader explains they can’t make it to a hangout cause they made plans with other people and the Graves siblings are like “Wait, this isn’t how it’s supposed to go-“ And now they unconsciously try to do anything to get reader to stay with them and isolate them from others. Like taking any opportunity to get what they want. Andrew’s sick? How about you skip your date to help him out? Their parents are gone for a while? Sleepover time! Just like we used to do when we were little! Oh you can’t find you’re sleeping bag and it’s conveniently colder than Antarctica? Cuddle time! You’re now stuck between two attractive goth siblings. And you’re not gonna ever leave. Ever.

notes from coff-in: i feel it in my heart (and in my delusional head) that ashley would constantly sneak over to [reader]'s place to hang out with them. and if ashley's going then andrew has to follow her to make sure she doesn't cause any trouble.

andy appreciates [reader]'s patience. he's also happy that ashley was able to make a genuine friend. they both found [reader]'s fixation on them weird, like go hang out with someone else already! but eventually [reader]'s unstoppable force clashed with them, the unmovable objects, and they were able to be friends. best friends, even! with friendship bracelets, sleepovers, going out to parks or streets together; honestly three peas in a pod.

other people think you're weird for hanging out with the graves siblings as much as you do. some girls talk [reader] being so brave to touch andrew so brazenly with ashley around. it's not too much of a big deal- i mean, you can't touch him for too long without giving ashley some attention too :3

and then [reader] gets older, they notice how distant they get. sure, school can be pretty hectic and busy but surely you would still have time for them, right? why aren't you coming over as much? sure, their mom isn't the most welcoming... but they can still come over to your place! oh... you're busy studying... and tomorrow you'll be out with other friends... well, they can join you! problem solved :)

ashley throws a fucking tantrum over [reader] having other friends. what do you mean you have other friends?! are you leaving them?! you can't do that! you chose them! they chose you! ashley's spreading rumors and fighting harlots in the parking lot in order for you to stay close to them. andrew is less... obvious about it? he offers to do your work (he's done it before for ashley) in exchange for you to hang out with them. simple, right? he's not asking much and you get guaranteed passing grades in return. just snuggle up next to them while you watch a movie together... simple.

they really don't know why you'd throw this away for other people.

That did not merely mean his lunching habits, of course, or the traditional noble programme, or anything else like that—for the little butterfly had let her wings move a bit too fast, fly a little too far. She had let herself land on his velvet fingertip, twirl around in his brain, then sneak her way into his heart.

Do you understand what it was like for him?

She was messing with his mind and troubling his heart, spreading the nectar from part to part until the entire organ was contracting with his red admiration, and all her own.

After all, he was willingly seated next to a commoner on a school bench. So much like a silly school crush...

The cherry on top, though? The icing on the cake? The sugar rush to his bafflement? How he was heartily eating the weird stuff in her lunchbox. The flavours were very good.

Oh, dear.

Scratch that.

It was worse.

So much worse.

He was so, so, dangerously close to a human, a mortal woman whom he had not been very fond of—if at all—in the beginning, and for quite a long time. Their shoulders were touching. She was very warm. He could feel the mellow heat through the fabric of her uniform.

Were all humans this warm, or was it just her?

He would have to study that later.

For now...well.

It wasn’t just mere material proximity; it was not their bodies that were close only. The romantic tales and legends did not quite get it right, and many poets did not pen it properly.

How to put it...

You see, he could almost feel a quaint connection in their souls, as though mystic hands were tugging at the enchanted thread by which their spirits were tied. It was a thread impossible to see with the eye, but easy to feel in the heart.

And he had no way of truly knowing, but perhaps their hearts, too, were pulsating to the same song playing within them.

Unsettling as it were, the feeling and the sensations it brought remained quite nice.

Routine is a curious matter; it arranges days and nights, organises time itself—and yet, should they choose to, one can change it however they like.

Before this lunchbox ordeal, his hours had constantly resembled one another and looked nearly identical. They were too much alike.

He had followed a certain pattern, but now he had chosen to paint for himself a new excitement—an unprecedented event with an unexpected person—in that redundant schedule.

In truth, she was well aware that he did not hate her, so she was the one who had been incessant on spending this time with him. She was the one who had begun their little journey of sweet fortune.

She taught him new things. Sometimes she talked about profound matters. Sometimes she made meaningless small talk. Eventually, she made him think about how he would love to visit the twisted realm of humans with her.

With her, he realised that solitude disappears. Relations could be blessings. He was happier eating common simplicity packed into a plastic box more than he had ever been stabbing silverware into fine gourmet meals laid on exquisite china.

Never once had he imagined he would find spiritual pleasure in the company of this particular creature, this—truth be told—lovely lady. It appeared that fate had wished to prove him wrong in this subject, and so it was.

But when it had never before crossed his mind that he would one day come to enjoy her presence and bask in her warmth, how could he ever have predicted that he would long for that same warmth to be by his side?

Perhaps it was true that ignorance is bliss.

Who could know whether their soul will ever bind itself to someone or not?

Who could ever know the destined one that will rob them of their heart?

There is no need to do so.

Walking through time with an unknowing mind that cannot form any predictions and blind eyes that cannot make out a picture of the future could be pleasant.

What one cannot expect may very well turn out to be a great surprise, an absolute delight...or their sweetest demise.

ANOTHER Gravity Falls x Hunger Games AU 😭

So the concept of this AU was made with one simple question: “What if Katniss and Peeta were Dipper and Mabel’s parents?”

The lizard that lives in my skull immediately got to work and here’s everything you need to know :3

1: This AU still takes place in 2012, with the events of The Hunger Games taking place in 1992-1993.

2: Stan takes Haymitch’s role in this AU (sorry Haymitch I still love u pookie) but it’s actually Ford who participated in the 50th Hunger Games. Since Stan stole his identity, he had to mentor Katniss and Peeta for a death game he wasn’t even involved in. He was nervous and straight up worried that he might give the kids bad advice but he always hid it with a cocky and sarcastic facade that made Katniss see him as a dirty bastard. In actuality, his advice was pretty decent since he’s been living on the streets for 10 years and is an expert on violence.

3: The whole portal incident still happens obviously and he was working hard to bring Ford back when he got a call from President Snow himself. At first, he refused to go but when Snow told him he’d pay him handsomely he found himself in a train traveling to District 12 for the reaping.

4: Peeta is part of the Pines family in this AU, with Shermie being the baker. Stan is not happy that he was sending his nephew into the games, feeling like he was already losing another family member :(

5: I like to think Katniss sees a lot of Prim in Dipper, because of his mellowness. Every Mothers Day, Katniss lets Mabel take her out for a girls day and she gets pampered by Peeta and Dipper.

6: Coin was actually possessed by Bill after the portal incident. No, this doesn’t mean Coin was secretly a good guy all along, she was still planning to control Katniss but Bill discovered Coin’s power over the Rebellion and decided he wanted to get in on the action so he manipulated her into making a deal. He told her he could help her achieve her goals and the witch actually fell for it. When Coin died, Bill was sucked out of her body and went right back to the Nightmare realm.

7: Lucy Gray is actually the Axolotl’s human form. She wanted to experience human life and explore human morality, unfortunately she was born as a poor performer from District 12 who was put into a death game and died by being shot by Snow.

8: Katniss and Peeta don’t send the twins to Gravity Falls because they’re getting a divorce, it’s because there was an evil group of Snow-supporters who were going after them so they sent the twins to Stan while they dealt with “grown-up stuff”. By the end of summer, the group was destroyed and everything was back to normal…right?

9: Wendy idolizes Katniss because she sees her as what a woman should be, so she’s super stoked to find out that Dipper and Mabel are her kids. She loves to ramble on and on about the history of the Hunger Games and Katniss’ reputation as the Mockingjay, although Katniss herself doesn’t like talking about her role in the rebellion.

10: When they were little, Dipper and Mabel once saw Katniss and Peeta slow-dancing to a romantic song after they were supposedly “asleep”. When Peeta noticed the twins were watching, he just laughed and invited them in to dance with them. Soon the slow dance turned into an epic dance party.

11: Ever since that night, Mabel was desperate to find a boyfriend she could dance with and her parents’ sweet tender love was what shaped her boy crazy personality.

12: You know damn well that Dipper is gonna use the fact that he’s the son of a historic figure to his advantage when he’s in Gravity Falls. He tries to be strong and hardheaded like his mother mostly to impress Wendy but also because he genuinely admires her too.

13: This is also the reason why Stan is so tough on him, because he wants Dipper to know how important Katniss was and wanted him to follow in her footsteps. But he doesn’t tell her about this because he knows she’d disapprove of this behavior since she wants her kids to live normal lives. Stan believes he’s doing this for Dipper’s own good.

Hi Anon! Even though we have preference towards the cursed side of things, Lilia absolutely has a softer side, especially now since he mellowed down a lot over the years. He genuinely loves his close ones, and he genuinely just wants to have a good time and for his boys to live a meaningful and happy life.

He isn’t the father of the year, and it’s fun to talk about him failing miserably and completely misunderstanding how children work (+ it’s fun to come up with fucked up headcanons teehee), but he still tried his best and did a pretty decent job. It absolutely wasn’t his intention to hurt Malleus or Silver, Sebek as well. He is also very loveable; there is a reason he has so many friends after all~

I can actually picture him having meaningful conversations with Idia about life and death and what’s the meaning of life and all. I can also picture him sharing quiet nostalgic moments with Silver or smooching Malleus’ cheeks or doing other stuff similar to that.

I could give you some specific headcanons if you tell me what Lilia ship I should write it about~ (Ryu says, literally drowning in hc asks that are waiting for months to be written… I am so sorry)

Idk who's going to bother to read this rant but maybe someone will and relate to some parts of it so here goes.

The asexual and aromantic experience is wild when you have nothing but love to give.

For context, I generally don't use any specific labels because it's just a lot of work to explain, but using the more generic ones, I know a few things about myself.

I'm non-binary, polyamorous, and land *somewhere* on the ace and aro spectrums. I only use pangender as a term cuz I'm biased to the flag. It looks pretty, and it's close enough. I've debated if I'm trans, but I'm not uncomfortable in my body so I haven't bothered to pursue anything, and I'm only ace/aro because there is just a complete lack of drive/attraction/instinct whatever it can be called, in my body and psyche. I am a soul in a vessel here to experience things, but attraction is not one of them, apparently.

I'm a sex positive ace though. And I know all the technical terms I fall into but it's just complicated. I don't really use any kind of term for sexual preference, but I know I like men, and can develop sexual attraction under the right circumstances, and I like women aesthetically, but I can't say I'm NOT sexually attracted because I've never been with one. And the weird fear about trying is exactly the same fear I had about men. So ya know.

But I want to love. To be loved and especially to give love in return. I don't make a lot of friends cuz I don't get attached, with the exception of getting adopted, and my best friend who I chose all the way back in 2nd grade. I'm in my early 20s now and her and I live together, so you can see that it means something.

I've also recently started dating this guy who is exactly in the perfect sweet spot of everything I am attracted to, and not just visually. (Who actually cares about appearances anyway?) He's very sweet and kind to me, has a perfect balance of similarities and differences to myself, highly values communication and listens to what I have to say, understands my needs and how I function, and overall matches my energy. (He's very mellow but I'm working to bring out the crazy side I know is in there, lol.) To be honest it's damn near one of those too good to be true things. He's also poly, not entirely cis, and completely embraces my gender identity, or lack thereof. He's devoted and healthily obsessive and possessive and it's mutual. We also completely agree on our stances about kids and marriage, which is that we want neither. (At least not getting married on paper, he absolutely wants to wife me and I'm not mad about it.)

What makes me feel almost guilty, or honestly more like I'm defective, is that he's had all these realizations and transcendent moments that you would expect out of finding the person you're meant to be with. But I haven't. Don't get me wrong, I completely share the sentiments, I want him just as much as he wants me, and the devotion is mutual, I just haven't felt it. I know I love him, I know that I'm happy, I know that what we have is extremely promising and healthy. I just feel like I'm missing what everyone else gets to experience. I've talked about it with him too and he's so very understanding. Maybe I'm just terrified of myself. That I'll ruin it without even knowing, simply because I'm not designed to have this. I also know that thinking that is bad for manifesting.

Like just listen. (I'm also into witchcraft and astrology,) And my literal human design works against some of the things I want. I want to sleep next to him, all the time, but I have genuine trouble sleeping next to another person even just in the same bed as me, let alone within elbow distance. Sometimes it's hard if they're even in the same room. And that fact was literally stated in one of my readings. There's something in my autistic little brain that can't seem to let my breathing match theirs, and it's a natural thing for humans to do, but it somehow drives me crazy. I want to kiss and hold and have sex and all those things, but I'm difficult. Finding satisfaction in intimacy is a literal challenge, even with help from toys or other stimulus. He's been so patient and understanding with that too and it's done wonders for the shame trauma I grew up with, but it's also just frustrating, because I feel constantly inadequate or like I'll accidentally give off the impression that he's not enough. And that's not true. (Even if there's some things he could stand to learn.) It's all just that typical asexual "I feel broken" kind of angst. But it's still a very real experience that haunts me. I'd love to believe that going on T would fix me, but I know it's not true.

Honestly I kinda lost where I meant to go with this. It's very TMI, but he says I feel like home to him, and while I don't think I feel the same thing, wording wise, we both agree that even though it's been almost 3 months, it feels like we've known each other for forever. Please excuse me for being a sap but genuinely I'm like, yah I found it. Cliché romance novel shit and everything. It's been very soft and comfortable so far. I still have to egg him into actually biting me like he means it, but at least I know I'm safe with him. He lets me show a bit of dominance too, so there's not any kind of power imbalance, and I'm so very excited for whatever future we get to have.

Idk. I think I had a lot of other sappy poetic shit to say that I forgot about, but I guess the overall message is that when you know what you want, it doesn't matter if you're ace, aro, anything in between, or nothing at all, you can find the love you're looking for. Have some faith in yourself. You're not broken, you're not missing anything. Whatever kinds of relationships you have, platonic or romantic or anything else, the right people do exist. You just have to first be sure of yourself, and sure of what you're looking for.

PLF Advisors: My Take on their Aliases, Bios and Quirks

Because why not celebrate this blog no longer being shadowbanned than by another list of MHA's most bizarrely handled Villains!~ Here is basically the names I thought up for most of them and tried to keep it in line with the whole 'religious' aspect of the MLA. Quirks are kind of based on vibes.

Sanctum

“Currently, the oldest living member of the Meta Liberation Army turned Paranormal Liberation Front. Strict, no-nonsense  person that basically acted as temp MLA leader until Re-Destro was of age. He became Twice’s #1 Advisor in order to try to direct the most unstable of the League of Villains to more MLA values. It hasn’t really gone well in that regards. He joined the MLA since he genuinely believed that society’s current draconian ruling regarding Quirks was unsustainable and a new order that supported liberal usage of powers was beneficial to all metahuman kind. His base was a well known private university with Sanctum serving as it's President that would indoctrinate youth to the MLA. ”

Meta Ability: Sanctum - He creates an impromptu hideout for temporary rest and recouping for his allies...and if any enemy tries to answer without permission they are mentally harmed until they leave or die.

Vent

“The second oldest member of the Meta Liberation Army. A Heteromorph whose seen a lot of tragic sights regarding discrimination for being so visually different and joined the MLA in hopes of elevating hopes of reform. Though in his age, he has since passed down his fire to Disgustus, while mellowing out a good deal. These days he likes to tell young folk stories of his youth and act as a mentor. Dislikes being called Grandpa. His base is a scrapyard that has hands in many recycling program efforts and non-profits, especially those related to defective support items in the hero industry and is constantly seeking volunteers/accepting rehab people to help in Vent’s operations…and eventually the MLA’s.”

Meta Ability: Air Manipulation - For a brief space and time, he can alter air to be able to fly or use air pressure to stall/crush his foes.

Blossom

“Otherwise known as Auntie Blossom to the younger people in the MLA (she hates being called Grandma - she’s not that old yet!!). She operated an orphanage that took in kids and teens being abandoned or coming in abused because of society’s intolerance to Quirks and lack of accommodation for them. When the orphanage was in danger of being shut down, the MLA stepped in to give it the funds it needed to thrive. Because of that, both Blossom’s loyalty and a new stream of recruits was acquired that day. Blossom loves to spoil the younger MLA folks rotten, and can’t help but dote on even her peers as well. However, she has no love for the current status quo and is ruthless against those that support it. She’s the mother to another Advisor in the Violet Regiment.”

Meta Ability: Sweet Smell - Emits a pleasant scent that lowers enemies accuracy and evasion...leaving them open for Blossom and her broom spear.

Fervor

“Dabi’s 1st ranked Advisor. Just one look and you get all that you would know of about FErvor. He’s an energetic to the point of insane man, whose own self-preservation isn’t even remotely close on his mind. He’s an utter battle junkie that loves to go all out with is Quirk in brawls. He was recruited int othe MLA after higher-ups witnessed his power in a street fight, and sought to recruit him. Currently, he’s the manager of a support Despite his looks, he’s actually pretty friendly to his underlings and his co-workers…they still are pretty wary of him though.”

Meta Ability: Frenzy - Like a shark, he enters a frenzied state when smelling blood. His pain sensors dull, and he grows faster and stronger too.

Strict

“Strict is one of many in the Meta Liberation Army that believed he should have had a better lot in life than what he has now. He actually aspired to be a Hero himself, but his brutal disposition and cold attitude towards civilians/people he thought of as lesser had him expelled from his school. Eventually, during his current stint as head of a security company, he would come across Destro’s book, which eventually lead to him joining the MLA.”

Meta Ability: Gaseous - He can turn the very air around him into different sorts of gases.

Pierce

“Pierce is an up-and-coming Commander of the Meta Liberation Army. He’s known as the charismatic bad boy of the new generation of MLA executives. He’s dating Bless, and is known for being a teasing, yet loyal companion. Pierce joined the MLA as a wayward youth without much to his name, yet eager to make his mark on the world. The base he controls over is actually a hostel that he acts as a hangout for lost souls like himself and a refuge for those with nowhere to go, with Pierce essentially being their big brother figure.”

Meta Ability: Puncture - He can make holes in anyone and anything, though in himself, it's mostly harmless.

Wisdom

“Wisdom has the reputation of being the most levelheaded of the PLF Advisors. Wisdom is a Quirk therapist that helps people deal with the trauma or issues their powers have given them. As a result, though, he was constantly butting heads with the current dogma concerning the ineffective Quirk counseling at the time. Eventually, in frustration he joined the MLA to change society’s views, and uses his position as a therapist to guide more hurt people towards an organization that will readily accept them and their powers.”

Meta Ability - Flash Orb. He can throw out orbs that act as mini-bombs and/or flashbangs on his targets.

Bless

“Bless is a woman who was essentially raised into the MLA as apart of its new generation of MLA executives. Bless is the daughter of Blossom, and had been helping her mother ever since she was young in her endeavors with the Cause. She’s a deadpan snarker, and doesn’t hold a high opinion concerning a lot of her allies and their intelligence, but is devoted to working with what she got. Dating Pierce, who genuinely loves her, even with her face being scarred due to her Quirk - something she is self-conscious about. She's running her own private clinic that especially caters to those who struggle with Quirk related illness or injuries, and holds the most medical knowledge of the Advisors.”

Meta Ability: Corrosive Breath - She can emit noxious, steel melting breath. Due to the potency of her breath, she needs her guard to properly keep it under control.

Sly

“Sly is a Heteromorphic man that comes from a poor, neglected, family with fox Quirks. Ultimately, he split up for them in an attempt to make it on his own as a businessman, dissatisfied with society’s treatment of them. He joined Detnerat as apart of its weapon testing branch and eventually becoming acting director of his own division once he joined the MLA. He’s frugal man that loathes wasteful spending, having come from a home that relied on every cent counting.”

Meta Ability: Fox! He can do everything a fox can!!

Speculate

“Speculate was Curious’ Vice President of Shoowaysha, handling things in the organization while her boss was away. Her own inquisitive nature and need for the truth had her meet Curious as kindred spirits who have been disillusioned with journalism concerning Hero Society. As one can expect, she holds mixed feelings regarding working under Toga. However, she tries to be professional and polite when going about her new PLF life, determined to see Curious’ will come to fruition.”

Meta Ability: Shutterbugs. Can create little minions to act as her means of attack or recon of any area or person.

Keen

“An introvert to their core, Keen is the most reclusive member of the MLA commanders, but is still one of their best assets. A skilled programmer in their own right, Keen was recruited by the MLA after Skeptic was impressed by their own set of programming skills when Keen applied for Feel Good Inc. Skeptic introduced them to the fold and they eventually became commander of a base that was an Internet Cafe. They’re a major Star Wars fan and would rather not be seen out of their cosplay.”

Meta Ability: Tamper - They can tamper with any electronic device and use that to either attack or disrupt their foes.

Bold

“A former street fighter in her younger years, Bold is a big sister type, she loves to rumble and is highly competitive, so when the MLA offered her a world where she can do that her heart’s content, she readily agreed. Bold runs a private gym and is always eager to help new clients get in shape themselves.”

Meta Ability: Brawn Boost - Can enhance her muscles for a limited amount of time.

Red

“It’s hard to imagine that Red was a 1st-ranked Advisor with his laidback attitude, but he was actually one of the most active members of the Intelligence Regiment. He owns his own bar that’s an active hotspot for disgruntled patrons and broken folk, as well as government official and Heroes who are prone to letting things slip in their drunken states. Like many others, he joined the MLA out of frustration with the system. He oftens tries to get Skeptic to go drinking with him, to no avail.”

Meta Ability: Liquid Control - Red can bend liquid to his will and even manipulate it to act as weapons.

Slidin’ Go

“Was once the highest ranked Hero in the Meta Liberation army before Hawks joined the PLF. He was one of many struggling Heroes in the thousands, barely being able to scrape by due to his lack of popularity. It was the MLA that reached out to him, promoting him and getting him in the upper echelons of the Hero rankings, in exchange for his loyalty.”

Meta Ability: Some slide on the wiki already.

Victory

“A Heteromorphic man who life hasn’t really been kind to him, since minute one, given his toad mutation. Pretty much a social outcast, he was left with little choice but to join the MLA to gain some sort of refuge. He’s very bright and a great engineer, if a bit sloppy, and it’s to the point he’s in charge of his own workshop for the Cause, where he develops much of the cutting edge support items Detnerat uses.”

Meta Ability: Toad. He can do whatever a toad can.

Power

“A grumpy individual that thinks highly of himself and lowly of those not in his position. He was a fierce believer in the Electric Dream - that those who hold electrification Quirks were destined for greatness in Hero Society due to their powers always being in demand. However, his ego and carelessness had him lose job after job in such fields. Bitter and wanting nothing more than to dominate the society that ‘failed to see his greatness’, his eyes were turned to the MLA. He is currently the chief of security of one of their hideouts that acts as a supply depot.”

Meta Ability: Amplivolt - Can do whatever shocking thing it does on the wiki.

Flair

“Flair is a part of the new generation of MLA commanders that was set to take over the organization’s reigns later on in life. Flair is a pretty boy that has the hearts of many of soldiers, boy, and girls alike, with his down to earth nature making him very likable. Flair runs a cafe that actually serves a hangout spot for his fellow Commanders and even other higher-ups when they just want a chance to unwind. He also plays guitar and likes doing songs cover to his cafe audience.”

Meta Ability: Heat Spikes - Can generate a layer of fire spikes to use against his foes, and can cover his body with them as well like a porcupine.

Question

“Who are they? Now that’s the Question: and the answer is fairly simple! The Question is a flamboyant actor who dreamt of making their theatre a big shot in the entertainment world. But, sadly, while they were a good manager, it was a constant struggle to keep the theatre afloat. Thankfully, the MLA stepped in to provide said fundings for not only repairs but to even host plays that made use of the talent’s Quirks as well!! While controversial, it became a smash hit and the Question was loyal to the MLA ever since.”

Meta Ability: Inquisition - Can force a person to go mad with questions about their own existence.

Fury

“A heteromorphic woman that received the brunt of both ends of discrimination for her looks. Both from those who despised her appearance, and those who thought of her as ‘exotic’ and a prize to show off. Filled with rage against the current status quo for this, she joined the MLA for finally payback such actions. Fury runs a shelter for unhoused Heteromorphs who can’t find accommodation easily.”

Meta Ability: Shell Hair - Can use her hair as a shield or as sharp weapons to attack.

Disgustus

“Of the Heteromorphic Trio of the Spinner’s advisors, Disgustus, as per his name, holds the most bitterness towards society. Similar to Spinner, he had to deal with harassment and assault by non-heteromorphs, and has become filled with vengeance and hatred because of it. Naturally, he found his home in the MLA as it was his best chance at rectifying such an issue. An eloquent speaker, he has the best persuasion skills of his trio, which serves well for his job maintaining a church.”

Meta Ability: Spider - Does whatever a spider can.

Joy

“Like with Fury and Disgustus he was also a victim of Heteromorphic discrimination and often thought to be stupid for his passiveness. However, Joy is a big believer of being subtle with intent and purpose: until it’s too late for your enemies. As such, he fits right alongside the shadow organization of the PLF. His base is a recreational center for the youth of Heteromorphs.”

Meta Ability: Size Increase - Can bloat or thin himself at will, and even down to specific body parts.

hello rolly i hope all is going well and on the up and up. the coffee cowboy cafe sound very cool, i hope they take you!! i am sure they'll be lucky to have you :)! i'm hoping for a lucky break regarding employment as well, i've been applying to places since beginning of sept but no luck yet. i also really like the stars background you have, it reminds me of like a kid's bedroom wallpaper in a whimsical illustrated children's book.

i read keepsakes, and while i don't think i had this blog in 2022, that didn't curb my enjoyment of it (curb your enthusiasm theme plays). this was so sweet and so nice, and very comforting after a bit of a hard day. i am really craving chicken noodle soup now, as well as someone to fill the person shaped loneliness that's sitting beside me right now. but the steve being h0rny in candlelight line made me laugh a lot.

your descriptions are always so good at capturing the mood, but the lines where steve looks at reader's ring are infused with something so gooey and melty. actually, anow that i'm writing this, a lot of steve's pov in this blurb is veryyyyy heart melty and truly so much marsh and so much mellow. "You do a little squirm and smile that makes Steve chuckle. He hunches over his lap to slurp the broth and you wrinkle up your nose." like this is soooo cute!!! i want to do this with someone!! also i don't think i've told you this before but ur also so genuinely funny! the pretty woman joke after this made me laugh hard. this literally sounds like heaven right now, both the massage and the devotion of looking at someone and seeing love there "Massages your scalp until your eyes flutter. The flames of the fire rest in dancing orange shimmers on your face."

i also really loved the description of the polaroid. the description of the outdated rosebud wallpaper really did me in, and idk why exactly but idk, just the love he remembers her childhood bedroom with was very sweet and all the little things about the photo, like the memory of his bruise and how he was flexing for her, in the privacy of her bedroom and not for a crowd just had the sort of intimacy of sharing a memory that i really loved. and her caption was just the most perfect delectable cherry on top of the whole thing.

i also reallyyyyyy love how tactile boxer steve is. this part i loved too "He moves one hand from your waist to your chin and tips it away to make room for his head on the other side of your throat". i like it for a lot of reasons certainly but i just really like the feeling or passion behind it i guess, it might come from reading so much of boxer steve, but it just feels so like, what his appeal is?? like "and he follows suit only to lay you on your back with his hand supporting the back of your head" that's why i like him?? i feel bad for not being able to word this better, but i just love the feeling of being taken care of or guided when something's happening and the amount of emotion behind it. i guess it's why his anger can b frightening, since for a long time it used to be equally passionate and physical, but in the right moments it's veryyyyy special !!

and yes! part of boxer!steve’s appeal is his tactile love language. ever the brute, he often lets his hands do the speaking for him—but there’s a softness to that when it comes to libby. often instead of expressing how he feels verbally, he’ll let her know through his touches. it’s his way of feeling close to her, and how much closer can you get than physically feeling someone?

but the guiding touches also speak to how well they know each other!

for some reason i kind of get emotional seeing pics and videos of matty and allen or matty and mayhem bc the idea of him being a dog dad genuinely fucks me up so thank u for the perfect suggestion (tbsg masterlist)

“Oh my god. Este. Please, look at these ones,” Matty held up his phone with one the of the many London pet rescue Instagram pages he followed pulled up. A pointy-eared German Shepherd posed in a photo with her litter of seven puppies, with the caption reading that her name was Bug. And that her puppies were in need of homes.

Both he and Este had been dreaming of adopting a dog ever since they’d moved in together. But somehow, it never got to the point that they went through with it; and now that a new cycle for The 1975 was about to start up, Este was on the fence about the idea. She wasn’t sure if she’d be diligent enough to raise a puppy on her own, with Matty on tour and not by her side.

But alas, Matty persisted. And he was determined—these German Shepherd puppies being just a few of many he showed Este. He could tell that deep down, she’d want the company while he travelled, and was convinced that as soon as they found the right puppy, she’d be on board.

“Bug…” Este muttered to herself, reading the Instagram post and pouting at how terribly cute the photos were. She scooted over on the sofa they were both sitting on to cuddle closer into Matty’s side. Matty swiped through the photos one by one, the two of them staring with heart eyes.

“We need to meet them.” she said, matter-of-factly.

He was shocked that the post had won her over without much convincing. “Actually?!”

“Message them before I think too hard about it.”

Este knocked excitedly on the door to the foster family’s home. A lively older couple answered, inviting them round to the back garden.

We’re just meeting them to see what they’re like, Matty reminded himself internally, Don’t get your hopes up.

“Little Buggy here usually prefers to meet the guests before showing you her babies—here she is,”

The two of them took a seat on the edge of their raised patio, now at the perfect level to show Bug some attention. Immediately melting at her friendly yet mellow demeanour, Matty ran his fingers through her fur, petting her calmly.

“Hello pretty girl,” he cooed. “I’m Matty.”

Este smiled at the sweet voice he always put on whenever talking to animals. He didn’t notice it, but she always did.

After a few minutes of chatting casually with the foster family, along with Bug’s tail wagging back and forth comfortably, the woman finally let the puppies free from the pen and out into the garden. It was like an invasion of excitement as they trampled into the grass, playfully nipping at each other’s paws and barking hesitantly at the unfamiliar faces.

“Oh my goodness! Hi babies!” Este giggled as multiple puppies greeted her, stepping on her feet and sniffing her in curiosity. “How old are they again?”

“They’re just about to be twelve weeks, so they’re all up to date with jabs. Ready to adopt right away.” confirmed the man. His arms were crossed as he leaned against his house, happily watching the litter collectively shower both Matty and Este in love. “Seem to like you two already,”

They laughed together, slightly overwhelmed at the high energy of the young pups. Most of them pounced around at a high speed, too frantic to allow either of them to scoop them up for a cuddle.

But, Este eventually felt a gentle paw at her thigh, where a pair of glossy black eyes stared up at her. The puppy pawed again, panting with its tongue on display.

“I think she wants you to pick her up, love.” pointed Matty.

Silently agreeing, Este tucked her hand beneath the puppy’s tiny tummy, lifting her into her lap. The dog didn’t squirm or protest. Just made herself at home against Este’s warmth.

Matty grinned, watching the bond between his girlfriend and the German Shepherd form in front of his eyes. He reached to pet her face, bringing his up close. She gave him a sloppy kiss.

“Aren’t you just a sweetheart,” Este said, flipping the small tag on her collar to learn her name. “Flo.”

A pang hit her chest. Flo. Este’s grandmother’s laugh echoed in her mind as the puppy lunged upwards to plant a kiss on her chin as well. Oh no, Este thought, We’re getting a dog.

“Stunning name.” commented Matty, stealing her from Este’s lap to pick her up, settling her into the crook of his arm. She fit there perfectly.

They attempted to show the other six of the litter equal attention, Este making up questions to ask about them. Pretending to care what their names were, or what their personalities were like. Truthfully, they just wanted to prolong the time they could spend with Flo.

Then, instead of sticking around at the foster house to gain as much time with her as possible, Matty and Este made one of the easiest decisions they’d ever made together, and took her home with them.

“Alright. Crate, pee pads, that food that Linda recommended, too many toys. Food and water bowls. Leash, training treats, dental chews. What else?”

They stood in the middle of a Pets At Home, Flo cosy in Este’s arms. Matty pushed a trolley, its contents growing in size as they rifled through the store and thought of more things they needed.

“We should get a new collar. The one she has now is a bit fugly.” suggested Este.

He laughed at her use of adjective. “Should we get her name put on it too? I think we can get a little engraved tag here,”

Thinking about it together, they studied her little face. Her ears perked up whenever they called her name, but the more Este thought about it, the more it didn’t fit.

“Yeah, we should. I’m sort of debating what her name should be, though.” she admitted.

“Are you?” Matty raised an eyebrow.

“A little. I like the idea of coming up with a name for her together,” Este explained, ruffling the puppy’s fur. “Instead of just going with what the owners named her.”

He eyed another brightly coloured toy on the shelf and hesitantly threw it into the trolley. They were spoiling her already.

“But they named her Flo. Flo! It feels too perfect to change,” he pointed out.

“I mean, I agree. But riddle me this, babe—when you hear the name Flo, do you think of a little puppy? Or do you think of line dancing with an old Filipino lady?” She grinned.

Matty smiled at the rosy memory, Florencia guiding his feet back and forth on the dance floor on the night her and José celebrated fifty years of marriage.

“That’s not a terrible point.”

Eventually, a cashier rung through their heaps of pet supplies and it came the time to settle on a name. The puppy sat happily, now in Matty’s arms after he expressed some jealousy that he was stuck pushing the trolley while Este got endless embraces with her.

“Okay. If we change her name, I think it should be something similar to Flo. So that at least we don’t have to train her to respond to a whole new one,” he suggested.

They threw out ideas while sifting through the different shapes of silver tags, but none stuck. Este racked her brain for other names that might mean something. She thought about both her first ever and also her most recent memories with Matty—the old and the new—all of the most poignant.

“What about Keiko?” The name sprung to her quite quickly. And it sounded enough like Flo. She wondered if Matty would even remember what the name was in reference to.

But, she was met with a grin. His eyes went squinty he smiled so hard—staring through her, then breaking to focus on the puppy in his arms.

“Do you work at the convenience store, my girl? Do you?” Matty asked playfully, scratching at the bottom of her chin. She kissed him over and over, something she was proving to love by doing it often to her new owners’ faces. He wiped away the slobber in both disgust and adoration.

“Keiko!” Este tested, in a high pitched voice. Her ears pointed upwards with attention.

“Keiko Manansala-Healy. I like it.”

She got a bit car sick on the journey back to the house, but they didn’t blame her. Surely the day had been overwhelming for all parties; one side being taken away by a couple of strangers to a myriad of unfamiliar places, and the other side impulsively purchasing the biggest responsibility and commitment they’d ever submitted to as a team.

There was a bunch to sort. Too much to sort. Figuring out where all of Keiko’s stuff would go. The crate, her food and water. Getting rid of anything she could chew or ruin or wee on. Thinking of when they’d be away in the near future, out to Manchester and then to Japan next, and who’d look after her. If she’d forget who Matty was when he’d be gone on tour. He insisted that she wouldn’t, and was probably right.

Matty also feverishly threw away any chocolate they had in the cupboards, insisting it was a risk to have, even though stored away safely. He was showing as the paranoid parent already.

So by the end, all three of them—a new little family—were exhausted. They’d considered maybe not letting the puppy up on the furniture, just to start with some boundaries and to train her to be well behaved, but she was too cute for them to be rational. And they cuddled her with joy on the sofa.

Este sat back comfortably, Keiko once laying between her and Matty on the cushions, but she wanted her closer; so she scooped her up and held her in the air above her face, Lion King style. Small excited squeals erupted from Keiko’s tummy. But once her arms grew tired, she lowered her down and rested the dog on her chest.

She seemed to like it there, and shifted tiredly until she eventually settled into a little ball, chest rising and falling. Keiko had fallen asleep; and Este with her dropping eyelids wasn’t too far behind her slumbers. A purely content expression sat on both of their faces.

Matty watched lovingly, craning his neck to look at them while they sat beside him. He picked up one of Keiko’s paws and studied the small black pads on the bottom of them. It was weird to fathom something existing in such a tiny entity. She took up no space at all. Was made up of pure innocence, and trust.

All the love and weirdness and lunacy made Matty’s nose go fizzy. He swallowed heavily. And then he found himself needing to blink at a higher rate to be able to see through the tears accumulating in his eyes.

Este caught him quickly swipe away a stray droplet that escaped down his cheek. She pouted, reaching over to cup his jaw with her hand and rubbing back and forth with her thumb. Her touch did something visceral to him, like it always did.

“Are you crying, Matty?” She asked, with a slight laugh, trying to cover up the fact that she was getting a bit emotional as well.

He furiously shook his head in denial, but then another tear fell.

“I just don’t think I’ve loved anything this much before.”

Okay I understand, maybe you can do headcanon of RFA and Saeran with MC who look exactly like Rika, maybe same name

Well, this would be a very sensitive and complicated situation for everyone involved, really. Rika was an important person for everyone in the RFA, albeit in very different ways. Imagine mourning someone who has left such a big impact on your life, only to have someone who looks just like them show up one day. It'll be awkward and weird. To put it simply. Everyone is aware that this is not Rika, of course. It would be highly disrespectful to treat this newcomer like they are not a completely different person. I think everyone would be as respectful as can be. However, it would still be extremely uncomfortable for everyone involved.

The circumstances are what determine everything, though. If MC bonds with everyone the way you do in the game, I think all of the issues I'm about to mention would be lessened. That is, without interacting face to face. No one will care how you look, if they already know you as a person. But, if you're asking about their reactions to seeing someone who looks very similar to Rika, without having the opportunity to get to know them first, here's my interpretation.

I don't think Yoosung is going to be able to actually meet MC face to face for quite some time. Both for his own mental health, and because he knows he'll probably make them feel very uncomfortable. And he doesn't want that. But you can't really blame him for seeing his lost cousin every time he looks at them. It's an agonizing experience. He'll need to overcome his grief before actually starting to form a genuine connection with the MC. Out of everyone, he'll definitely have the hardest time of all. But, he'll do his best to be respectful and kind to MC nonetheless. He'll probably experience a lot of guilt over his inability to connect with them properly. But, with time and health communication, I believe he'll definitely pull through it and open himself up to this new relationship.

Zen would be more relaxed since Rika wasn't as essential to him as to some other members. Even so, for quite a long while, she remained a woman he deeply admired and trusted. It's a weird uncomfortable feeling to be met with the stark image of her. Still, he will be mostly respectful and welcoming. I think he's the most comfortable person to get along with out of everyone in this situation. I believe it will take him the least time to fully embrace MC as a new member. He'll probably be their rock of support in this very strange predicament. He understands what it's like to feel a certain way because of your looks. And he doesn't want their new member to feel that way. It’s actually rather sweet to think about him getting all protective and caring over MC in this situation!

Jaehee is... Well, she arguably grieved Rika the least out of the RFA, but that doesn't mean she'll feel any less weird about the whole ordeal. In my opinion, she will be mostly professional and polite in her demeanor. She won't make MC feel uncomfortable, but there is an obvious feeling of distance between them, and that's intentional on Jaehee's part. She might mellow out with time, though. But, for the time being, she'd prefer to keep the relationship strictly professional.

Jumin is pretty similar to Jaehee in terms of his overall attitude, but his situation is far more complicated. Rika was his closest friend after V. Although he doesn't show it in the same open manner as Yoosung does, his grief for her is deep and strong. He'll definitely feel very uncomfortable on the inside the first time he sees this MC. He'll dislike that feeling even more because he understands that this is not Rika, and he shouldn't compare the two. While Yoosung is struggling with the constant reminders of Rika whenever he looks at MC, Jumin will face more frustrations with himself and his own inner feelings. He doesn't like acting illogical. And realizing that he's losing the grip on his emotions is... hard for him. Mostly because it feels like he's not in control of himself. And that's something he can't have, for more than just one reason. I believe that, much like Jaehee, he will keep the relationship mostly professional. He will be polite and respectful towards MC, and he will do everything in his power to make sure that the party is successful and that their new member feels comfortable. But on the inside, he will definitely be having a very difficult time.

For Saeyoung it's... complicated, to say the least. Although he was much closer to V than Rika, their relationship was still very important. Ultimately, she was the one he first met back in the cathedral. As a scared, hungry boy, with no one to turn to. She's the one who cared for his brother, and she's the one he feels forever indebted to. That being said, I do not think it will be as difficult for him as it is for Yoosung and Jumin. But it will still be very uncomfortable. He'll find himself being less playful and more serious around MC, something he has done with Rika whenever she was in the chatroom. He'll probably berate himself for that, distracting himself with his job. In my opinion, he will warm up overtime. After getting to know MC as an individual person.

And for Saeran, well... It really depends on a lot of factors. But if we're talking about him just meeting MC who looks like Rika, it won't be pretty, and he will need to excuse himself to breathe for sure. It's fair to say that Rika is the source of the most trauma for him. It is nothing against MC, but you can't really do anything about your body and mind acting on their own accord to protect you. It really depends on which Saeran we're talking about, as well. SE Saeran will have the strongest reaction of all, while GE Saeran will most likely settle down with some time and space for him to sort through his emotions. With Saeran, it's a very similar situation to Yoosung, only in very different circumstances. Both will have the hardest time of all to avoid the visual similarities. But, while Yoosung it's the feelings of grief, for Saeran, it's the feelings of discomfort and fear. It is very much possible to work through those emotions with lots of time and patience, though.

That's the sentiment for all of them, really. It might be difficult at first, but, none of them would want to make MC uncomfortable. And all of them would come to appreciate and love them regardless.

it was nicojack fic first and foremost... this nap scenario where nico saw through jack's squeaky noises etc i was on a tknp binge but i wanted to VENTURE and they were not as hideous as the other pairings i googled 👍 i ackt can't remember what i thought but i think i disliked him a bit more. user steviethenarwhal basically shaped my entire conception of him from the start. there was someone called dekesandstars here that did birth chart analysis in january-ish who read his entire life!!!

he was far more annoying in the earlier days (mouthing off journos) but he mellowed out with the winning and with luke coming in but again. very annoying interviews. just obvious complex. rude in tiktoks. ENOUGH!

Just finished both the Summer Performance and summer break in Jack Jeanne! This game continues to be a ton of fun! Also way more romantic than I originally thought! I know I said last time I prefer more romance in my otome than what I’ve been getting so far but there’s actually a really nice amount of romance (despite the fact Kisa hasn’t been revealed yet). Though I wonder if that’s just because it’s Suzu I’m going after or it’s a matter of my personal preference regarding the romance or something? Anyways I’m having a blast!

I really enjoyed Weekend Lesson, I didn’t think I’d enjoy it as much as The Sleepless King but I got so caught up in it. That’s something I find so enjoyable about Jack Jeanne’s writing. That the writing for the story is already easy to get invested in and enjoyable, but the in universe plays are just as easy to get invested in! Like I wanna know how things work for Kisa and the boys but I also end up being eager to see how things turn out for their play characters and wanna know where their stories go too! Like in Weekend Lesson I got so into Hasekura and Ando’s relationship and was truly moved by their last dance in the play. And I loved seeing Kisa’s take on Mukai (which by the way my girl was FANTASTIC in her first ever Jack role, she earned that gold individual performance award) especially how she changed it last second and still managed to make it work. Also Louis was fun and I’m glad my boy Suzu got an award at last (still annoyed his role as the king in the last play wasn’t awarded though). Also like I said last time I really am seeing Sou getting slowly more frustrated at not being acknowledged or performing at the level Kisa and Suzu are. I think he just needs to get the right role to really shine so I’m hoping whatever the Fall Performance is will give him that.

Based on the instrumentals during the practices I thought Ms. Robin would be my favorite of the three songs but as it turns out We the Great Galleon came out of nowhere and planted itself in my brain. It’s sooooo catchy!!!! And no, I swear that’s not just my Suzu bias at work here 😂 (although once again my boy knocked it out of the park with those vocals) the song itself is really freakin’ good! I can’t wait for my copy of the Jack Jeanne vocal collection to come home! By the way I found out that earlier this year they also released a mini album that has the characters shuffle their roles for a couple songs. I listened to the previews for Fortune Color is Crystal and We the Great Galleon (avoided the others since I haven’t reached them in the game yet and I wanna go in blind) and loved them so much I ordered that album too (it was kinda expensive since it was apparently a limited release but I managed to snag a copy)! Ms. Robin was so pretty and I was so impressed by the song being completely in English, Mitsuki and Kisa did so well! Compass Line was simply gorgeous in both vocals and choreography (Kai and Fumi killed it) and would have easily been my number one if We the Great Galleon wasn’t the catchiest song ever!

Now that I’ve gotten more time to know the characters in Onyx and Rhodonite, I adore them! They’re so refreshing in that yeah they’re all super competitive and striving for the top in this famous theater school, but they’re all also such genuinely sweet people? And super funny I love seeing their antics! I don’t think I have a favorite among them, I sincerely enjoy whenever any of them pop up because they’re all so enjoyable as characters! Mare, Yuki, and Eita are so funny. Tsukasa has such a pleasant way of talking and poor Minorikawa eternally suffers. Ion is so funny and voiced by a favorite VA of mine. Kaido is such a surprising sweetie and Kasai is so interesting. Toichi and Dante are hilarious, and I like how mellow Sugachi is. All this makes me more and more curious to finally meet the members of Amber, we get such brief encounters and mentions of them they’re really building it up. Welp we’ll probably finally get them for the Fall Performance so I can’t wait to see how they’re like, especially compared to their freaky looking plays 😂

The summer break was nice, got to see some nice new backgrounds and classic summer fun! Also got to see my first year Quartz darlings growing as actors by learning about interpretations of roles! The scenes between Suzu and Kisa in both the test of courage and the hot springs managed to be as adorable as they were funny. And that kayak scene!!!! I really did pick the perfect boy, I love him so much!!!!

Anyways before I get to the Fall Performance I actually went and started the game over (yeah doesn’t that sound familiar 😅😅😅) because I learned that if you keep Kisa’s name as is instead of changing it her name will be voiced in the scenes. So I literally am speeding through so I can enjoy having Kisa’s name voiced in the playthrough. At least I get to see some new random events as I go through it all again! Hopefully I can speed through and get back to where I was tonight and then continue my playthrough tomorrow! ✌️

an honest review of dark moon special album: memorabilia purely from musical observation (not proofread cause the proofread one will be in rym)

opening remarks: to say that i have a pretty high expectation with this special comeback is pretty accurate. dark moon and th sound related to it is what i hoped enhypen embraced more during the bite me era because i'm genuinely missing the given-taken sound. having heard snippets of both one in a billion and criminal love yet never heard the full songs already gives me a taste of what's to come: a pretty mature concept that is fantasy-esque emphasis more on maybe bass-heavy electronic music while combining some strings in forms of violin or guitar. rebellious yet regal.

yet, truly, i don't follow the dark moon lore as much so i don't know how they became detectives or noir vampires? but, seeing the tracklist to find that there are unit songs that i have wanted out of them since 2022 definitely makes me have a smile on my face. the overall concept of the comeback is also consistent in a way that i want to actually buy the complete album set with the memorabilia (see that? ;] ) in them. but, i'm on a boycott now so i'm just gonna imagine that i have the album lmao

also, a majority above 3 minutes ep? thank you for meeting the bare minimum. but, like, the title track is still a under three minute track tho. will definitely want to hear some bridge actions cause enha needs to embrace bridges again, like, give the bridge part to sunoo cause he killed it in sweet venom

let's start!

1.one in a billion: as someone who is now listening to this song for the first time other than the snippets, i like the rock sound of it with the percussion much more clear in the chorus. though the guitar sound sounds very midi--the texture in every chord hit is the same. the melody is good enough and diverse between each section. heeseung kills it in this song. gosh hearing just the imperfections in the guitar sound could make me score it higher. there could be more mixing in the vocal because during high eq, it sounds unclear and i can hear the definite sound of the autotune. maybe because they sing so high from their timbre.

2.criminal love: okay, the sexy waltz-style song in 3/4. the buildup from the verse to the pre-chorus to the chorus and post-chorus is so good though, especially a down time at the pre-chorus. that bouncing vocals between sunoo and niki in 2nd verse are nice. basically 2nd set of structure is much better imo, especially with the melody mix-up jake in the pre-chorus did. the bridge is nice to hear with niki being the guiding voice alongside the percussion and bass.

though i kinda felt tired hearing all of the post-chorus in all three of the choruses. usually, some songs make the second chorus different (like what sweet venom has). i know that that part is the killing point in the song (since i've seen shorts of the choreo of that part specifically), but holding that back might make it much more suspenseful, ya hear? or just add something at the last chorus to make it more bombastic.

3.fatal trouble: said title track of the album yet shorter than the rest...

and, no, i don't expect it to be mellow honestly. especially hearing the rock sound of one in a billion to the trap sound of criminal love in 3/4. for me, this sounds like the typical soundtrack from any k-dramas out there. like, it doesn't have a distinct sound of it being from a romance fantasy web novel. in one in a billion, you could hear the sound of the rebellious teens in it. in criminal love, you could hear the sound of the regal-fantasy side of a vampire protecting their lover.

though there is suspense in the choices of chords, the song's short length makes this even more suffering. i mentioned before that enhypen has this struggle in ending a song (blessed-cursed, future perfect, bite me) that it sounds empty. truly, i can imagine heeseung popping off in the last chorus of this song especially with how good he sounded here. sigh... another missed opportunity

4.teeth (unit: heeseung and the maknaez): gosh, seeing the word teeth reminds me of given-taken so much...

ooh i didn't expect the drunk-dazed angle coming from them honestly. truly, this is like drunk-dazed's techno-inspired older brother. and, since i've been hearing a bit of 90's techno, i can hear it being emulated on the post-chorus. i can also hear a bit of the saw filter on the synth there. THE BRIDGE SLOW DOWN OKAY bro the playing around with the bpm for the bridge is so good and creative. it makes the end chorus feel so full even with the same instrumental. niki's definitely the highlight here imo.

though, i think there's something with the voice mixing that the main melody line seemed to bury it down that i can't recognize who is singing in the chorus. well composed but not the best produced. still, good job!

5.lucifer (unit: 02z): based on the title, i expect a more sexy sounding. mature. because why would you name it based on the fallen angel? (unless you are shinee and you make a bop name lucifer too)

jake's voice has this vibe that reminds me of bts' jimin's at the start that gosh, makes my heart falter. jay's killing it by using his whole range including falsettos. and also, high voice range sunghoon, good to hear you! the song is basically percussion and bass, including synth bass, which is something very rnb. YES JAY killing it in adlibs. that's what i'm searching for in fatal trouble (to be expected actually because fatal trouble is such an rnb song title).

there are parts of the fast singing/kinda rapping that kind of become a turn-off for me, maybe because the autotune sounds clearer there. but i like that this song plays with the concept of silence as part of the experience, how being quiet helps in emphasizing the lyrics and helps with the build-up to the next section. gosh, jay held himself up on the bridge and it was so good. very proud of that!

6.scream: knowing that this has a noir concept, didn't expect the brighter upbeat song here, especially with the dark-esque titles of the other including this one which makes me predict this to be more similar to the yellowjackets intro theme.

knowing about dark moon lore, this is definitely the song you hear when you are reading/watching the boys practicing nightball. very sports/practice montage background music. that sustained bass that plays in the 2nd verse set definitely helps in creating suspense. yet, the chorus sounds empty. maybe it's because the guitar is a bit muted and layered back or it is for the anti-drop. but when the percussion comes in for post-chorus, it still sounds empty.

the bridge is nice with retracting the percussion and focusing on the keyboard chords and synth. i definitely can hear that if the guitar is a grittier fuller sound it could help in not making the chorus seem a bit empty. also, THE FACT THAT THIS IS A GUITAR-BASED SONG AND YOU HAVE A MEMBER THAT PLAYS GUITAR (@ JAY) BUT YOU DON'T ALLOW HIM TO ADD THINGS LIKE A SOLO SESH OR SOMETHING?

okay, i know that solo improv is hard and jay is more playing guitar as a hobby and to make covers but he can play the solo of attention, please yet there is no solo here. this song can sound much better with a guitar solo goddamit

closing remarks: not going to lie: the most cohesive enhypen release since dimension: dilemma. i wanna add that dark blood is also pretty cohesive but karma kind of strays it away. i definitely could hear the level of experimentation and this release is what i expect dark blood to sound like. a combination of given-taken + drunk-dazed that has a balance but also experiments in various genres. maybe a clear theme is what is needed to make a enhypen release cause this one's theme is clear: a soundtrack for a reincarnation supernatural high school romance web series

out of all the four tracks that i first listen to it, i didn't expect fatal trouble to be the weakest and teeth to be the strongest, especially in regards to how different teeth is compare to the enhypen discography. it's kind of like blessed-cursed but with the rowdiness of drunk-dazed to make the perfect combination. fatal trouble is too generic in a way, a track that is playing safe by catering to those who like to hear k-drama soundtracks. scream is good for a summer song, a successor to attention, please. but it definitely lacks the excitement of it. while lucifer is really sexy and i'm hoping that the 02 liners could create more unit songs in the future. maybe a 2/2/3 combo or another 4/3 but with a different member combination because it is endless. yet, i still think that the two singles released reign on top
