Hi Grace! I don't know anything about bsd, so I'm gonna stick with atla (if that's okay). Zukka with the fluff dialogue prompt: “I want to spend the day with you doing nothing.” please.

The morning sun filters through the windows, painting Zuko’s bedroom golden. For the first time in months, they’re allowed to stay tangled up with each other in bed past sunrise. Sokka traces his fingers up and down Zuko’s arms as Zuko’s lips ghost against his boyfriend’s jawline. For a brief moment, they are allowed to be nothing more than two boys in love.

“Sunshine,” Sokka whispers, and Zuko lifts his head just enough to let his eyes roam over Sokka’s face. Summer has brought out his freckles, and they dot his face like constellations in the night sky. He cups Zuko’s cheek with one hand, then says, “I wish we could stay like this forever.”

Zuko hums in agreement. It would be nice, he thinks, if they had no obligations. If Zuko were not the Fire Lord and Sokka were not travelling constantly—if they lived in a world where they could hold onto each other outside the confines of this bedroom, if the world were not set up to oppose them.

“Me too,” Zuko agrees, then leans in to steal another kiss. “I’d take even just one day. I want to spend the day with you doing nothing.”

“One day,” Sokka muses. “One day of no responsibilities. Just you and me.” He sighs. “Maybe someday. For one whole day, we’ll lock ourselves in this room and do absolutely nothing.”

It’s a nice fantasy, unattainable as it may be. There are always things that require Zuko’s attention, and there are always people unintentionally pulling him and Sokka apart. But maybe one day, when Zuko has established himself as Fire Lord, when the world isn’t still reeling from one hundred years of war, they’ll be able to find a day of peace.

For now, though, Zuko will cherish the few extra minutes they’ve found this morning. It won’t be long before he’s called elsewhere, but until then, he’ll continue to kiss Sokka slowly, like they’ve got all the time in the world, and he’ll be content to have Sokka in his arms as the sunlight pours over them.

⌖ so u obv start out as online strangers, u met on a discord vc that a friend of a friend made

⌖ u kind of js hang out with ur shared online friends but quickly hit it off and start making plans for gaming session between just the two of you

⌖ you become really close, really quickly and start gaming together every free minute

⌖ one of you would hop online and in the same breath text the other to hop on (within seconds the two of you were fully immersed)

⌖ once u exchange numbers, tomura would js randomly send u pics of half his face throughout the day and you’d do the same (as friends do, right?)

⌖ you fell first, he fell harder type shhh

⌖ you don’t remember when it happened, but at some point discord voice chat switched to phone calls and then to long facetime calls

⌖ sometimes you weren’t even online and he would still facetime you, while you were already in bed just so you could hang out while he games

⌖ he would play something cozy like sdv or minecraft so he doesn’t rage in your ear while you fall asleep on call

⌖ the first time you meet was actually initiated by you (he’d be way too shy)

⌖ but he has a whole date planned (as friends ofc)

Lilo Reads - April 2025 edition

I have read 2.8 million words in fanfic in April!

January • February • March • 2024

I've also read three of the most atrocious kids books this month, and I mean I usually don't enjoy hatewatching or hatereading stuff but in this case I had a blast. Do you know Enid Blyton's Mallory Towers (German 'Dolly')? These are as if a whole series is straight up from Evelyn's POV. She's nasty to everyone, tries to ruin her parents' marriage but is mad when she succeeds, has self esteem issues and tries to bring everyone down so she doesn't have to worry they're above her anymore, cares more about her appearance than anything else, is so bitchy even to the girls she considers her friends, and instead of getting over her issues and properly settling in at the boarding school she just seems to get a bit better but then starts acting idiotically again in the next book! Would hate to meet her irl, loved the books, 10/10, I read them within a week xD

Apart from those, I just continued the non-fiction book 'The Bird Way' and re-read some Yoko Tsuno comics from the library, I still love those comics so much, especially the collection editions with bonus info and sketches! They're originally French and not all of them have been translated into English, but a whole bunch of them can be found here :)

And I actually wrote something this month! An almost 20k long Sci-Fi Adventure story, Lucifer's Servant, vaguely based on the Yoko Tsuno comic of the same name but with characters from Warehouse 13, I think everyone's introduced neatly enough that anyone can read it, without knowing either of those fandoms! I'm really proud of it I wouldn't have expected writing such a long story after months of just tiny comment fics :}

As for fics I enjoyed reading, this might be the first month where the majority of the fics are gen fics? While I did indeed read a couple of the expected Avorah fics (mainly by @bkwormkate thank you for the good work <3) because the new season of Hacks is out, I only managed to watch the first two episodes so far, so most fics are too spoilery rn, and I haven't really gotten back into reading much fic for the ship or much femslash in general... Instead I've read a bit of Marvel, some more 00Q and McDanno, and when it comes to my fic recs of the month, you can mainly see that my Star Wars obsession has come back with full force xD here goes:

These're my gender graphs. I would love to consolidate them all into one graph, but IDK what program that would be or what that would even begin to look like considering how many variables there are, so, ya know, I did my best. It's funny, a year ago that "Dominant" was at 7%, and switch was sub 20%. Sadist was also at a sub 20%, and voyeur was... sub 40% I think? I've gone through some things, most of which is from one off dates. I want to be clear, though, I'm not a dom! I'm not a top! These things have not changed. My understanding of them has grown a little bit, and my switchiness is debatable. It takes *very* rare moods and people to activate it, and I will tell you now, you being more of a bottom isn't it.

First up, the major projects!

Layla is a transgirl space scavenger mechanic, an anarchist from Mars where Hypercorps run everything, and she's just hit a minor jackpot; an empty cargo ship filled with material that can not only earn her a lot of credits, but also reputation. There's just one problem; there's no pilot, there's no destination, and there's nothing to indicate what really happened.

Set in Eclipse Phase (A Transhumanist Sci-fi TTRPG), Hive's Story is a horror, about the scariest parts of being early in transition; not knowing who you are, or who you'll become, and how people abandon you. It's still a work in progress, naturally.

A necromancer witch kills a mech pilot and steals their mech, before raising them to Pilot it for her, since she does not know how to do so. The two of them attempt to save the Witch's girlfriend, A Mech Artificer, who is going to be executed by the Empire for the Witch's crimes of necromancy. The POV character is The Pilot, who has lost most of it's memories, and is completely subservient to The Witch, but has enough personality to wish it weren't.

Be sure to read the content warnings; they're going to be pretty important.

Next up, some minor projects! Some have been dropped, some are still being worked on.

Charm used to be human... before she died, anyways. She's wound up in another world, and she feels different, but it's difficult to say how exactly! She doesn't remember NOT being a Hellsworn, even in her old life, but there weren't exactly Hellsworn there. She's lost, confused, and worse, she seems to be hated by anyone who isn't a hellsworn as well, and now she's being forced into the slums outside the city! Slums that are roiling with deceit, and love, and a fomenting rebellion that major players in the slums are trying to prevent. But she's not the only one who's been isekai'd; John's still trying to run the rat race; he figures he can start small, just be a mason, try to live a quiet life. He didn't think he was interested in a loud life... but something is wrong. He was doing that in his last life... and died for it! He's alone, surrounded by people who tolerate and use him, but he doesn't know what to think anymore.

Hellsworn Charm is a story about a girl on an upwards trajectory from the bottom and finding a ceiling of oppression, and about a man who is on a downwards trajectory from... well, not the top. Both struggle with their lack of purpose, but where one gets a support network, the other does not, and the two's trajectories are on a collision path. The story is more world-building than plot, and once i realized I didn't really have one, it sputtered out. I won't be moving it to AO3, though. I'm not too proud of this particular work.

WHEW. The OG. The one that... almost started it all. There were a few versions of AOM before this, but goddamn, this is the one I put the effort into. It's got some notes in it from when I was trying to rework it, which I still might do, but this version is better than the newer one, even still.

I still want to work on this one, tbh. It's a story about an apocalypse of magic (AOM), with the main character, Rhea, waking up in a hospital, having survived a magical plague in 2020 (I swear, I wrote this in 2012 or something, cut me some slack) that turned her into a Kitsune, and her brother into a Giant. At first, it's all about survival. Later, it's about realizing the depravity of humanity.

The other OG. Lesbians witches who hate each other, and also have to deal with their country falling apart. One is the princess, the other a rebellious peasant. I used prompts to get started on each part.

Honestly, don't know that I'll ever pick this one up again. I like their dynamic, but the world just wasn't it, I think. I've tried reworking it, like, 4 different times.

My very first ever long story, and also my longest even now. Almost 90 pages! I got so far! And god, my pacing was terrible. Fun though. It's FILLED with my annotations.

Aisleigh is a very poor woman who just got invited to Chile to go to a very rich mans party. She gets experimented on midway, and it goes from "Poor girl being uplifted to high society" to "kind of super-hero origin story, except she's now a brilliant fox girl". Listen, young Halie was cooking, but she did NOT know what she was doing.

A super hero origin story, except in this one, the main character began to lose her emotions. Can't really talk much about this one, pretty sure I was writing it while feeling dysphoric and worried about the apathy that was consuming my life :)

A Light Touch of Cold Steel (6016 words) by ChaosMagius Chapters: 1/? Things go wrong, and Ashley, our Veteran and POV character, takes a little extra heat for it from Hadron.

That's pretty much all of what I'm willing to share from my projects these days, but I've got a few more I'm still working on. I may add more to this over time. As of September 2024, these projects are a Mecha story, a post apocalypse mage who is so lonely she's disassociating, and whatever else happens to catch my attention.

Okay, I just finished reading Classified Affair and I really needed a cute story with Ms. Dunber, maybe a story with a few chapters? Just kidding, unless someone accepts :)? Well yeah, but the thing is, this story really got me in so many different ways, you know, and you are a complete talent for being able to transform me into this emotional mess, and after reaching the end I can only thinking "Wow, a new story (because I've read everything you've written) would be great." I think it's amazing how it was possible to go from loving to hating to liking Heather again in the story, and it really makes me think how things would be if the way she acted in relation to the confession of love, if things had happened differently perhaps under different conditions, or with her knowing how to take the lead and solving things as it should. Dude, sorry for the monologue, lol, but I don't know, the story really touched me and nothing fairer than me sharing this with the person who made it. I just wanted to let out everything that made me feel this story, thank you for your time and sorry for anything.

-first, thank you!

-second: there is a follow up series that takes place I think 7 years (and oh so much therapy) later where Heather's back in DC and slowly repairing her relationships.

-third: for CA I have this version of Heather in my head that is an alternate universe sort of era. There's a lot that goes into making her this twisted, toxic person that she is and that starts a very long time ago and is enforced by every big decision that she has to make in her life. This is gonna get long so it's going under a readmore and this is kinda my character study of her in this fic/universe i guess lol

i've toyed around with writing a prequel for this fic to explain why she is the way she is and it's basically this

-heather knew she wanted a successful career from the start, that she wanted a government job and wanted to get as high up (and thus powerful) as she could, esp if that meant a presidency. That's what she's been focused on since day one. She knows that she has a higher chance of being a better candidate if she has the picture perfect family, white picket fence and all. Even if it may not be what she wants. She marries her high school sweetheart, her first kid is meticulously planned and born in the gap between college and law school. her second was an earlier surprise and ends up being born while she's finishing law school. This leaves them living out of state with the help of house staff that she doesn't really know with the kids. I kinda also canon becca to have been a super needy baby that heather didn't know how to deal with, hence why she ends up high key resenting her as she grows up.

-So she's trapped into all of this from a very young age, she knows that in the long run it'll help with what she wants but in the moment, she kinda hates it and ships them off to boarding school as soon as she can to get some of the major stress out of her life. Because of course she has incredibly high standards for herself in all aspects of life and she feels like a failure of a mother.

-there are two major components of life that can turn people into worse people and those are power and money. Heather has had money all her life, and like, a fuck ton of family money that isn't going anywhere. She's likely already used to throwing money around to get what she wants and isn't used to being told no (and this comes up n one of the follow ups that it's a generational thing, her mom is just as bad as she is). With the power, you'll notice in CA that the closer she gets to that presidential spot, the more she starts to lose it. That's all she can see, she's blinded by it and only her career. She's watching her family fall apart around her, being served divorce papers, and she doesn't actually hit rock bottom until she's lost her job. That's when things start to come a little clearer for her.

-I explain this because: if you asked her (prior to all the therapy lol) she 100% did react properly to the reveal that yn had developed feelings. Heather went into every SB relationship with contracts, ndas and expectations. They knew she was marred and she both couldn't and wouldn't give that up to risk a try at something that might not work and would definitely damage her political image. She went extra hard on yn about it to create that clean break if yn wasn't able to get her shit together, so she wouldn't come crawling back, if that makes sense.

-by the time we meet heather in this story, she's just already toxic af. and she doesn't know right from wrong because she's been so wrapped up in her head and doing whatever she has to to get what she wants. she's so twisted that she doesn't even know herself by the end of it. AND let's not forget that somewhere along the way she's also likely having some kind of sexual identity crisis too lol.

-i have had some people say that they could see heather and yn working out if they worked through things, or that they *should* but i personally do believe that yn saw toxic and slowly figured out she wanted out, that there was no way to make it work even if heather wanted to. there would be so much to untangle considering heather legitimately owned her by that stage. everything important heather had bought. there was a HUGE power imbalance and financial imbalance and that's exactly why heather went for her in the first place. there could be some speculation that yn was the first girl heather *actually* had feelings for and that sparked an even bigger fire to the explosion because heather was even more confused at herself and didn't know how to untangle that web. she went back to her default of being mean. and i think in all three parts of the story that piece is never really figured out, heather's not sure. so that's left up to the readers interpretation

I could probably make this more streamlined, but for now I just wanna get everything out of the way. I love writing about Husk from Hazbin Hotel, and I can write (almost) whatever sort of Huskpost you want to see from me, from sweet and fluffy to outright nasty! You can check my "irk huskposts"/"hazbin hotel husk x reader" tags to get a feel for what I do here.

I pretty much exclusively write for Husk. Of course I can include other characters as side characters, I love this whole cast, but Husk is the one my brain wants carnally right now.

Prompts don't need to be shippy! I don't mind doing angst, slice-of-life, headcanons; just give me an excuse to yell about Husk.

That said, I don't want to write any canon/canon ships with Husk for now, not even Huskerdust. I don't hate Huskerdust! I'm just a huge baby when it comes to shipping my F/Os with other canon characters when my obsession is new. Give me a year or two, and maybe some more canon. But until then, my relationship with Huskerdust will be nothing more than passive appreciation.

When it comes to Reader inserts, I'll do any gender and body type! I tend to default to GN!Reader and AFAB due to personal experience, but I'll write any identity, including trans readers. Everyone is welcome here! Husk is pansexual and gender-blind, of course he doesn't judge! I do concede that I don't possess a dick and any attempts at writing a reader with one might be inaccurate, but I'll do my best.

I'm fairly open to kinks and have no moral judgment toward anything in fiction. **TRIGGER WARNING** Reiner's canon story involves s*icide attempts, child abuse, murder and all around a lot of trauma. I will not shy away from dark topics on this blog, Reiner is a character who has suffered a lot and has put suffering on others. When I write angsty meta or meme / thread responses they will be angsty and heavy, and I will try to tag everything appropriately.

Furthermore, my own personal portrayal will also include internalized homophobia ( for at least his time pretending to be a soldier ). I write Reiner as gay, his mental illness and multiple personalities along with some compulsive heterosexuality ( Marley comes off as a h*mophobic society to me ) made him repress this part of him, something he only explores with Bertolt whenever he allows himself, and more often than not he forgets about it after. My Reiner was absolutely in love with Bertolt and his crush on Christa was a figment he created for the persona he crafted to fit in with the rest of the scouts.

i think they're neat together! a lot of people are reluctant to ship them together romantically which is like, fair enough etc but it feels like that'd be overlooking their potential for both chaos for the sake of chaos (fun!) and true tenderness between two people who generally might feel pretty misunderstood and isolated from the rest of the team for various reasons (also fun!).

because theyre both on offensive roles i can see them interacting regularly On The Job as well which is always great to write imo.

headcanons:

i generally think scout and pyro are close friends even before becoming romantically involved or whatever...

i like the idea of scout being a bit scared of pyro at first because they're a big question mark, but because scout is this person who finds any challenge worth his time he takes it upon himself to be The First Who Befriends That Weirdo (affectionate).

he'll learn how to decipher pyro's mumbling and learn sign language (which also helps on the battlefield where it's often loud!).

scout is of course extremely curious about what's under the mask but he doesn't pry. none of his business. but if pyro ends up revealing themselves you know he'll be like 👀👀👀

pyro's just glad someone's willing to stick around with them! they don't mind being a loner but like, company is always nice.

they probably also feel pretty >:) about scout—this big talker jock and generally annoying dickhead—being actually nice to them. the power they hold over him... i reckon they feel pretty good about it.

scout strikes me as a romantic regardless of who he's paired up with, and pyro seems like a cuddler so i think their relationship as Lovers would be soooo sweet... inseparable and always goofing around and laughing and pulling (sometimes VERY dangerous) pranks on their teammates.

they're two fucked up little guys who somehow find each other in a weird fucked up world <3

now to specifically get to The Prompt from the ask LMFAO... hotel HUH...

i can imagine a scenario where they have to spend the night in some kind of motel for a duo contract or something and it's (gasp) a room with twin beds bc why would it be a double bed? fanfiction is contrived man (winks knowlingly at the person reading this)...

anyway scout checks in on his own bc he doesnt want pyro's Appearance to alarm the reception lady (little does he know that the lady would think absolutely NOTHING of it, she's seen worse, she's been workin this reception desk for 30 years you know), grabs the key and then gets both him and pyro in.

i think as soon as they get in they jump on the beds like trampolines because The Urge To Have Fun is too strong lmao.

i feel like they first sleep separately but then scout maybe notices pyro having bad dreams or tossing and turning so he just ends up snuggling up with pyro to comfort them :) or it could be the other way around if you want really, i think neither of them is truly free from insomnia, night terrors, and PTSD lol.

i feel like i could go on and just write a ficlet from just this idea but i'll stop here LOL thank you so much for indulging me!

I mainly write One Piece and Dragon Age (focusing on ZoSan and Fenders). Two wildly different fandom experiences, but in some ways the same ship - seems I have a thing for the enemies-to-lovers dynamic!

Original Characters

I've been recently branching out into original characters and worlds.

My "Complex 27" universe is getting pretty large now. universe is expanding rapidly. It’s set in a dystopian and semi-apocalyptic future where an organization called “the Facility” operates multiple complexes worldwide, training, housing, and renting out living weapons. The narratives revolve around the assets/living weapons from Complex 27.

I also have my  Echoes of the Forgotten War universe which is currently on hold. It explores a fantasy world marked by a past war between humans and elves—details of which have faded from memory. Now generations later humans prosper, and the noble houses keep “conscripted elves” (descendants of prisoners from the war). However, free elves are a rare sight among humans - most having hidden themselves in self-isolated civilizations. The story follows a human mage intrigued by the lost history and an escaped conscripted elf who becomes his ally.

What I Like to Write About

Character Studies & Internal Monologues: I love digging into a character’s mind, making them face their own demons and dilemmas.

World Building: Honestly, I might enjoy building worlds more than writing the actual narrative! Though I haven’t figured out how to just share world-building alone...

About Me

Day Job

I’m a personal trainer and run coach, specializing in marathon runners.

Peer Support Worker

I work with people who’ve experienced self-harm and eating disorders. I’ve also worked with people affected by abuse, psychosis, PTSD, and dissociation.

Education

I have a bio-med degree (physiology & neuroscience) and started graduate medicine aiming to become a doctor. Unfortunately, I had to drop out at 22 due to mental illness. Since then, I trained as a teacher (post-16, teaching maths and pharmacology), but long story short, I was shit at teaching.

I’m now studying forensic psychology.

Martial Arts

I’ve practiced kendo since 2008, HEMA since 2023, and aikido since 2024.

Mental Health

I have schizoaffective disorder, so I go through periods of psychosis, mania, and depression. Even when stable, I experience auditory hallucinations—my main voice is Nigel, who’s basically my annoying roommate. But when less stable I experience grandiose delusions, visual hallucinations, disorganised speech, and paranoia amongst other symptoms.

I am also in recovery from both self-harm and bulimia, aswell as having experience of dissociation, anxiety, and PTSD.

I’m really open about my mental health; I’ve written blogs for charities and give talks locally. If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

I'm also autistic and ADHD—not mental illness but felt worth mentioning.

Writing & Mental Health

I often weave my own mental health experiences into my writing—it’s that whole “write what you know” thing. After having to drop out of med school due to my illness, I’m now studying psychology as a mature student. So, in a way, mental health is “all I know.” 😅
