21. The dangerous Road

“I bled once”, you whispered to the maester, “but the symptoms hadn't stopped, I thought to be with child”

“after the birth of a child it could be tricky”, he warned with a warm smile, “forgive me my lady but I must check you out”

It was an uncomfortable afternoon with the maester, but afterwards, you left his tower to search for Sara

The test that he had made you do was going to take time to… “develop”, so you had a couple of days before receiving any news

Sara, and you, had started a quick net of communication throughout the North, you had contact with White Harbor, with the Lady Mara, and the Lady Bolton from the Dreadfort, all the way up to the Bear Island, even down at Widow’s watch, you exchanged ravens regularly, you even created, with Cregan, the “Dragon watchers”, dragons were faster than ravens, but you had placed outposts with huge beacons of fire that were to be lit as soon as they see or hear them, so as soon as it is lit, the next one will light them also, creating a line of fire to be seen miles away in Winterfell

You were nervous, the people were nervous, you had yet to receive news of Cregan, but if you think about it more carefully, it could be dangerous for him to be writing where they are and where theta e going, letters can be easily intercepted, an the last months you realized people who believe a man should have priority to ascend the Iron Throne over a woman is bigger than you expected.

When you found Sara, you gasped

She was a mess, clutching to her own chest, heaving and crying by the window in her room

“Sara!”. you called for her name, running to her, hugging her, “what happened?”

“I don’t know!”, she managed to whine, “I saw something”

“What did you see? What happened? are you alright?”, you were so confused, she was distraught

She weeped in your arms, and you hugged her to comfort her, you directed her to sit on the bed, and you cuddled her. She eventually calmed, but she still shook with the sobs

“I don’t know what happened”, she whispered, “one minute I was here, and another…I was somewhere else”

“What do you mean?”, you asked her softly

“That somehow, I was somewhere else, I was something else”, you believed in magic, you believed in people who could dream about things that were going to happen, everyone in your family knew the tale of Daenys the dreamer and how her visions saved the Targaryens from The Doom. Once you were hiding from the boys with Helaena, and she couldn’t stop whispering about stars in the middle of the day, you didn’t listen and when the boys found you you ran from them, failing to see the edge of a wooden furniture and banging your head against it, you passed for several minutes in which you could see silvery stars under your eyelids

But this was something else

In the book Cregan had lent you, you had read about wildlings north of the wall that could take the body of animals and use them as their own… but it was only a tale, wasn’t it?

“I was in the skies”, she continued, “I was flying, I was big, I saw Dragonstone”

“Dragonstone?”, you asked

“I think it was, I- I had never seen it”, she explain, still catching her breath, “it was big and dark, seemed like it was built front he rock itself, and… had many dragons sculptures all over”, that was a fair description of the castle of your family

“What else did you see?”, you asked

“I took flight towards the west”, she said shakily, “over the seas until I could see a castle, surrounded by a powerful wall, and a small village, under the protection of another wall”, she said, she was with you, but her eyes were seeing something outside of the room, they were lost in her memories, “the castle was made of gray rock with reddened tiles in their towers”, you paled then, “a banner was hanging from the biggest one, two black wings over a white banner, in front of a checkered black and gray field”

“House Staunton”, you whispered, “a house front he crownlands, loyal to Rhaenyra”

“They were under siege, and I was going to help them, but then…”

“Sara…”, your heart was pounding in your chest

“Two huge beasts, Vhagar, and another golden dragon flew down upon me, jaws open, a breath of fire and I…”, her eyes filled with tears again and she wept in your arms, “I could smell the burnt flesh, and the reek of death!”, she weeped again, and you held her against you

“Shhh, it’s alright”, you whispered, “it is alright”

But it was not

You could feel it

And you were made certain the very next day

“See that he is bathed gently”, you said to the main maid that took care of RIckon, “Even though he likes the heat, just like a little dragon”you giggled, playing with his feet, “I would bathe him myself but I have a meeting with the master at arms”

“Yes My lady”, she said gently, you liked her, she was sweet and cared for RIckon as he was her own, she took him gently and accommodate him in her arms

“Who is this handsome boy that needs a bath?”, she cooed, “let’s take a bath and let mommy focus on her meeting”, she said as she walked away

You smiled as you saw her leave the rooms, but were called by a pup, Rickon’s pup as he barked at you playfully, moving her triangular tail

“Don’t believe you are free of a bath!”, you chided playfully, and he barked again but ran to hide from you with a whimper.

You giggled

They were really clever animals Direwolves

But as you were preparing to leave your rooms to your meeting, there was a knock on the door

“Yes?”, you asked cheerfully, as you were the Lady of Winterfell, and you needed to show yourself strong, but the face the maester had, it immediately told you something was wrong

“I have letter for you, My Lady”, he said, he sounded apologetic

“What is it?”, you whispered

“One if from Dragonstone, but the other… is it from Harrenhal, from Aemond Targaryen”

You palet

you received the two small scrolls, your hand already trembling, you didn’t know which one to open first, you decided, that the one from Dragonstone

It surprised you to see it was from Rhaena, you had never had a personal relationship with her, but still you read the few lines she wrote

And as you did you whimpered, bitter tears falling from your eyes

Rhaenys was dead

Her and Melys had been burnt by Aemond and Aegon in both their dragons

Just like Sara described

Rhaena goes on saying she wanted you to hear it from her, because she knew how dear you were to her grandmother and vice-versa

“No, no, no please”, you cried, clutching your chest, falling to your knees

“My Lady!”, the maester fell to the floor on his knees beside you, clutching you tightly, “Are alright?” he placed his hand on your forehead

“No!”, you whined, you let out a scream of pain as you felt your heart was ripped from your chest. Sara showed up, taking the place of the maester by your side, grabbing you tightly

“I will bring you a special tea, to calm your nerves”, he left the room

“She is gone, Aemond killed her”, you whined, grabbing into Sara, “my aunt is gone”

“I’m so sorry”, she whined, “I should have seen it sooner”

“It’s not your fault”, you whispered, your voice as broken as your spirit. You then looked at the other scroll that had fallen by your skirts, this had to mean something… something else…

You couldn’t resist, you couldn’t

You opened it

What you found there didn’t surprise you, there were threats, a warning, and a demand

You whined at the sight of his poisonous words

But now… you jumped from the grief, straight to the anger

It was him!

The source of all your pains, all your traumas, it was him, for taking your baby nephew, and now your dear aunt

It was him

And you were the only one who could stop him

Sara looked at you, petrified and scared of what she found in your eyes

“No”, she whispered, when you looked straight ahead, tears were no longer falling from your eyes, all it was there was fire, and bloodthirst, “whatever you think you need to do…”

“I have to”, you answered barely, standing from the floor, your hands made fists

“No! you need to stay here!”, she cried, “please!”

“I am the only one who can stop him, stop this”, she took the scroll from your hand and read it, and she whimpered

“Its a trap!”, she said

But you were already on your feet, grabbing your riding gear, the thickest pants you could find and the upper part to go with it

“Please! think of Cregan! of Rickon!”, she insisted

“Is for them I’m doing this”, you said, all emotion in your voice disappeared

“Please! they can fight him”, she insisted

“I can get close to him and kill him, I’m the only one who can”

“But at what price?”, she asked

“the debt is high already”, she whispered, “and it will only take me”

“please!”, you turned to look at Sara

“Tell Cregan I’m sorry”, you whined, tears falling down your cheeks again

“You tell him yourself!”, she insisted

“Take care of my son”, you cried, “please love him as your own”

“You will!”, she said, now desperate, “you will love him, and see him grow!”

“I did the best I could for the North, I’m sorry if it wasn't enough”, you cried

“It was! but is not over!”, she grabbed your arms, “please!”

“I’m the only one that can stop him”, you insisted, “I can kill him”, she knew there was no convincing you, she can see it in your eyes

“Please”

“No one else is going to die for me”, your voice again a flat line, “Cregan will be spared, and the crown will belong to Rhaenyra”

“But please let’s wait until we can reach Cregan”

“You know what his answer is going to be”, you said, but you realized Sara was not going to let you leave, so instead, you agreed to wait

Only to sneak out in the middle of the night, after telling the nannies to take RIckon for the night claiming you needed to be alone, they took him without question.

You couldn’t dare to see Rickon for one last time, if you did, you would second guess your decision and you couldn’t

This was more important than yourself

This was about the future of the seven Kingdoms and the future of your family and everyone you loved

This was bigger

Vhaelar was waiting for you outside the Winterfell gates, she roared into the night air but at this point you didn’t care if everyone listened, you will be in the air by the time they think they can do something to stop you

So you climbed on top of your dragon, Aemond’s words burning inside your brain

“I killed Rhaenys at Rook’s Rest, it wasn’t personal, but I know your husband is marching down with his army, you have three days to come to Harrenhal, if you do not, I will burn them alive, and then I will ride North and take you anyways. Spare the Starks, give yourself to me”

You had to answer his call

It was true, you can come to him willingly, you had a dragon, you could hide a blade in your undergarments, and after, you could slay him in his sleep or something, anything, but when he said it was the end of house Stark, it meant your baby as well, pedicide is not something you would put past Aemond. You knew he was capable and able to do it

For Rickon

For Cregan

And for Sara and the North

Yourself was a small price to pay

The night was long but you didn’t plan to stop as Vhaelar flew decisively under you

You believed you had until morning until Winterfell wakes up and sends a raven to Cregan, if you manage to fly over them it will be too late also

In the air, atop your dragon, nothing could stop you

All night, all the way south, your mind was blank, there was only grief, pain, and rage.

You did not deemed yourself as vengeful person, and yet, you wanted it, desire it, you felt a fire growing within you, that wanted to burn everything in your path

You felt such heat within you you barely felt the still cold air that hit your face in the heights, and before you even knew it, the sun was shining in the horizon.

You felt no hunger, no tiredness, no nothing

Only the rage

It was Midday when you saw the unmistakable burnt towers of Harrenhal

Your dragon growled, like she was in pain, feeling your anger

You led her to descend upon the castle with a velocity that made your stomach drop, but you didn’t care about that, you cared about vengeance

But you were in a close distance, you felt the fire burning within you, one command and you could burn Harrenhal and the Green forces within them, Aemond probably was there, inside

“Dra-!”

As you were going to give the order, you were interrupted by a low growl. Vhagar appeared from nowhere, pushing your dragon and you in the air

Vhaelar whined as she struggled to keep in the air and you knew then and there, that against the monstrous Vhagar, you could do nothing. Even if your dragons was one of the largest

The Queen of dragons growled in greeting and you could feel Vhaelar’s nervousness as your own.

Or perhaps you were your own

Some people would say that you are more lamb than dragon, because of your mother’s house

But they were wrong

You were a dragon he awakened

You landed heavily by the gates, you could see the restlessness of the soldiers in you and your dragon’s presence. You abandoned the want to burn everything, against Vhagar you couldn’t win. you had to be smart about this, she had the upper hand, the surprise factor was ruined

“WHITE DRAGON!”, they chanted all over the walls, but you didn’t attacked them

Perhaps that is what you should do.

Burn them all

But the retaliation from King’s landing and the Greens could be worse

Aemond appeared by your side, he did not hide his smile, his happiness of seeing you there.

Bold, you assumed, as you were near your dragon, you could burn him, here and now

The temptation was great

“You came”, he greeted, “good girl”

“I came to the call of your insanity”, you growled, he came to you, quick on his feet, you took a step backwards, still he grabbed you by the back of your neck

Vhaelar growled, dangerously, but VHagr was there, right by her side, she grabbed your dragon by the neck, furiously, dangerously

“NO!”, you screamed

Vhaelar whined in agony, and Vhagar released her, it was only a warning, but her black blood flowed profusely from the injury in her neck

“NO!”, you wanted to go to her, but Aemond held on to you tight

“If you don’t want me to finish her off, you will come with me”, he had to drag you towards the castle, as you could hear her whines of agony as her pain as if was your own

He dragged you through the halls, the stench of dead was clinging into you by every forceful step, and you whined under Aemond’s brutal hold

He threw you into a room. It held no windows, no nothing, but it was furnished with the very best he could find in his proximity, you realized. A luxurious big bed, with small tales on each side, many candles all over the room to light it up since it had no windows, and a table with chairs on one corners, tapestries on the floor and hanging from the walls to give it a more comfortable feel to it, but it didn’t hide what it was, it was a prison, only made for you

“A room for a princess”, he said mockingly, closing the door behind him, “you will stay here”

“I did as you asked”, you said, trying to regain control, “I came, I did as you said, promise me you will kill no one else”, you whined, “please”, he only smirked

“I promise I will no seek the death of anyone else”, he pleaded with a hand on his chest and another raised, but all seemed like a mockery, “I only wanted you, it is good that you finally saw this”

“I don’t understand”, you whined, “why me? after everything”

“That is not for you to know, now put on the dress I selected for you”, he said, taking your shoulders and directing you to look upon the bed, where a very revealing dark green dress was waiting for you. “You are to please me, since you are married, since you didn’t want to marry me, you will be nothing else, but my whore”

A single tear fell down your cheek as you contemplated what you willingly let your life turn into.

🍓Hello lovely! Sorry for taking so long to answer this, but I wanted to be sure yours was the first one I got to out of them all!

A - Affection: Answered Here

B - Best friend: Answered Here

C - Cuddles: Malleus LOVES to cuddle. Seriously, it's one of his favorite hobbies. He didn't think he'd like it all that much, but he really does! He runs warm so he's really nice to cuddle up to as well, except for summer when it's blazing hot outside. He's a bit stiff when he's cuddling you, but he relaxes into you like melting butter.

D - Domestic: Malleus would LOVE to settle down and start a life/family with you. It's his biggest dream to be treated like normal, and starting a life with you is just the perfect way for him to feel like a normal, loved guy. Now, he's not exactly GOOD at the whole... having a life with someone thing yet, but he'll get there. You just have to teach him how to clean, cook, do laundry, and pretty much everything else that comes with domestic life.

E - Ending: If he had to, he would probably just ghost you. He doesn't want to see the look of hurt or anger on your face, especially since you were so kind to him for so long. He can't handle facing you to break things off, so he sends Lilia and a long and well-crafted letter and proceeds to avoid you like the plague. It's... pretty bad.

F - Fiance(e): Oh he wants to marry you REAL quick, so you'll have to push the breaks on that one. He just really loves when he loves, so he doesn't know how to stop himself from getting excited. He absolutely wants to marry you, and he will only wait a few years before he starts asking again. He brings up the idea of it frequently until you seem ready for it, at the very least.

G - Gentle: Ohhhh, Malleus is so gentle with you -- physically speaking at least. He handles you like you're made of glass, which you very well may be when compared to him. He could hurt you easily, and he wants to avoid that as much as possible. Emotionally... he tries, he doesn't want to hurt you, but he has a tendency to just say whats on his mind and make you feel bad about things he doesn't mean to.

H - Hugs: YES! Malleus loves skin-to-skin contact so much, and the easiest way to get that outside of handholding is hugs. He only gives you hugs, but he gives them to you all the time. He sees you between classes? Hug. You're visiting him in Diasomnia? Hug. Sees you at lunch? Hug. They're so warm and comforting too, like you'll always be safe in his arms.

I - I love you: He says I love you very fast. He's not lovebombing you or trying to manipulate you by jumping in too fast, he just feels that strongly about you that quickly. He wears his heart on his sleeve, and he wants you to know how much he cares for you as quickly as possible.

J - Jealousy: Malleus is tricky to talk about when it comes to Jealousy. On one hand, yeah Malleus gets jealous and he gets jealous fast. He's like an angry cat watching its owner play with a dog from the window. He's got an intense aura that chases most people off without him having to say anything. On the other hand, he doesn't really get jealous often because no one wants to piss off Malleus Draconia.

K - Kisses: Malleus, much like other forms of affection, loves kisses. He is NOT good at them. He is all teeth and nose and way too fast and eager, but it's really cute. He wants to kiss you all over and be kissed all over.

L - Little ones: As I mentioned before, yes. Malleus really does like kids -- he spent a good portion of his life helping raise Silver and Sebek, so his affections for kids stem from a young age. He really wants some of his own, and it's honestly a dealbreaker if you don't want them.

M - Morning: Mornings with Malleus can either be slow, gentle, and quiet. Basking in each other's presence and relaxing in bed until it's near afternoon. Or they can be chaotic and full of things to do. Depends on his schedule. But, regardless, Malleus makes sure that you are comfortable and happy over anything else.

N - Night: Malleus is a night owl. He loves the quiet and peace that night brings. He loves to take you on walks outside around campus or stay up way too late talking to each other in bed about everything and nothing at the same time.

R - Remember: Malleus has quite a lot of memories of you that he adores. Your first date, walking around campus with you, the ball at Noble Bell. His favorite, though, is probably the first time he proposed to you. You'd been together for a little over a month, and he decided to pop the question because he knew he would want you for life. You didn't freak out or yell at him or break if off with him on the spot. Instead, you smiled and told him "Not yet." For some reason, that little smile of yours and the 'yet' made his heart soar, and he knew that you were his one.

T - Try: Malleus is a very go-big or-go-home person, however... he doesn't know how to plan dates. He doesn't know the first thing about romance or being sweet, so he's really just stumbling in the dark and accidentally hitting all the right targets. You think he's so sweet and loving. Lilia thinks it's a miracle he's lasted this long.

U - Ugly: Malleus' bad habit is assuming you're always on the same page as him. You are not always on the same page as him, and it causes arguments from time to time because he thinks he can speak for you when he cannot.

V - Vanity: He's relatively aware that he's good-looking, but he doesn't really have too big of an ego about it. He cares about power more than beauty, but he does know that he is attractive and is proud of that fact. It's just not something he thinks too hard about.

W - Whole: Malleus feels so empty when you aren't around. You consume a lot of his thoughts, so he's constantly wondering what you're up to and how you're feeling. Whenever you're gone, he feels a little piece of his heart ache in sadness.

X - Xtra: Malleus shines his horns. In fact, he takes care of them better than anything else in his life. They're a part of the royal look, which is one reason why he takes such good care of them. The main reason, though? He thinks they look pretty all shiny. He's a dragon, after all, he likes shiny things a lot.

Z - Zzz: He sleeps like a corpse. Just completely stiff and still, even if you're sleeping beside him. He just doesn't move at all. He also sometimes sleeps with his eyes open? Very unsettling, that Malleus.

T = Toy (Do they own toys? Do they use them? On a partner or themselves?) He's not really into toys but I think he'd be willing to try if you brought it up to him.

U = Unfair (How much do they like to tease) Not much of a tease. Maybe during foreplay, but once you're actually doing it, he likes to show off what he can do to you rather than tease you.

V = Volume (How loud they are, what sound they make) He's not that loud, but that's mostly because as he gets closer, he usually got his face buried in your neck.

W = Wild Card (Get a random headcanon for the character of your choice) Taza probably wouldn't care too much about "cliche sexy". Matching lingerie, candles, full face of make-up ; all these things sometimes felt "forced" to him. X = X-Ray (Let’s see what’s going on in those pants, picture or words) Length wise I think Taza is around average, maybe slightly above. But he surely got girth way above average. You'll definitely have your fun.

Y = Yearning (How high is their sex drive?) It used to be higher when he was younger and it also depends on how stressed out he is. When there is a lot of stuff happening with the club, he sometimes just can't unwind properly. If everything's fine though you could probably count on 3 - 4 times a week.

Z = ZZZ (How quickly they fall asleep afterward) He's usually not too sleepy afterwards and likes to make sure that you're well taken care of first. But he absolutely loves to just fall asleep with you in his arms afterwards, sometimes you even notice him drifting off to sleep while still stroking your hair.

Gender-neutral German

OK so one could do a doctorate on this I guess but I simply want to make a little introduction because German learners may not be familiar with this concept and may get confused when seeing seemingly random little characters in the middle of a word. So here we go.

In German, there are a few ways to use gender-neutral language. I'm going to list some of them with pro and cons.

Participles

This is probably the most 'stealthy' way to use gender-neutral language in German. Example:

❌ Die Studenten essen in der Mensa. ✅ Die Studierenden essen in der Mensa. ❌ Die Mitarbeiter sind in einer Besprechung. ✅ Die Mitarbeitenden sind in einer Besprechung.

Pro: Stealth Level 100 Con: Not always applicable; works better with plural forms because articles are not split by gender there

2. Asterisk

❌ Die Schüler haben heute frei. ✅ Die Schüler*innen haben heute frei. ❌ Köche haben einen anstrengenden Job. ✅ Köch*innen haben einen anstrengenden Job.

What happens here is that you use the feminine form, and insert an asterisk in front of the feminine suffix (between root and suffix). In some cases this makes for a 'perfect' separation of the masculine and the feminine form (Schüler/Schülerinnen -> Schüler*innen); sometimes, as is the case with Köch*innen (Köche/Köchinnen), the masculine plural ending is cut off. Another example is Ärzte/Ärztinnen -> Ärzt*innen. With singular forms, the use of articles will look like this: der*die Ärzt*in ein*e Köch*in

The asterisk is sometimes pronounced as a glottal stop, sometimes it's 'ignored' in spoken language.

Pro: Inclusive; the asterisk marks all other genders outside of the (grammatical) binary. Con: Can be tricky to use; no general consensus over handling e.g. Dative: einem*einer Ärzt*in vs einem*r Ärzt*in

3. Underscore

❌ Chefs sollten generell mehr Lohn zahlen. ✅ Chef_innen sollten generell mehr Lohn zahlen.

Same procedure as above, but with an underscore instead of an asterisk. The underscore is sometimes pronounced as a glottal stop, sometimes it's 'ignored' in spoken language.

Pro: Relatively inclusive; some people feel like the underscore represents a 'gap' instead of non-binary genders and therefore reject the underscore. (Personally I don't prefer it either.) Con: Not accepted by all people outside the binary; can be tricky to use; no general consensus over handling certain concepts

4. Colon

❌ Die Rechte von Bauarbeitern sind wichtig. ✅ Die Rechte von Bauarbeiter:innen sind wichtig.

Same procedure as above, but with a colon instead of an asterisk or underscore. The colon is sometimes pronounced as a glottal stop, sometimes it's 'ignored' in spoken language.

Pro: Inclusive Con: Can be tricky to use; no general consensus over handling certain concepts Personally I prefer the colon over the asterisk and the underscore. It's mostly gut feeling but also the colon is like. at the same 'level' visually speaking as your regular minuscules so it makes me feel more included. As I said, gut feeling.

5. Replacing 'Mann'

So I guess this depends a bit but basically you replace the 'mann' in compounds with 'mensch', 'person', or, in plural, 'leute' or 'personen'. If that sounds weird, the word might get changed altogether:

❌ man ✅ mensch ❌ jemand ✅ jemensch ❌ Partner (not gender neutral in German!) ✅ Partnerperson, Beziehungsperson; Partner:in (Partner*in, Partner_in) ❌ Kaufmann ✅ Person im kaufmännischen Bereich ❌Müllmann ✅ Müllentsorger:in (Müllentsorger*in, Müllentsorger_in)

Again, this is easier in plural:

❌ Kaufmänner ✅ Kaufleute ❌ Müllmänner ✅ Müllabfuhr

Pro: Inclusive Con: if you are a German learner, this might be the option that is hardest to use (if you plan on using gender-neutral German), because it is not immediately evident how these generically masculine words get replaced or transformed.

6. "Binnen-I" ⚠

The so-called "Binnen-I" refers to the capitalised letter "I" in the middle of gendered nouns, and it works like the colon version (but without the colon):

SchülerIn, SchülerInnen LehrerIn, LehrerInnen

often accompanied by articles with a slash: der/die SchülerIn

Pro: relatively easy to use Con: does not include non-binary genders! This is not truly gender-neutral! It only includes the feminine and the masculine form!

7. Brackets ⚠

Probably my least favourite thing. Boo. It puts the feminine ending in a little cage:

Schüler(innen) Mitarbeiter(innen)

Pro: visually very obvious that we are talking about women and men (not only women) Con: does not include non-binary genders! This is not truly gender-neutral! It only includes the feminine and the masculine form! It has also been criticised for suggesting that the feminine ending is 'optional'/'omittable' by putting it in brackets. Honestly, just don't.

This was a little introduction to gender neutral German and I hope this can explain to you why written German does not always look like the one you see in most textbooks!

Thrawn, the infamous tactician and Grand Admiral of the Seventh Fleet is a clingy cuddler. He needs to feel his beloved is safe in his arms and his preferred sleeping position is any that allows him to fully wrap himself around his partner.

When Thrawn is alone, he tends to wander into his office at 0200 when he has an important thought, or because he needs a fresh perspective on a piece of art he's studying, but when his beloved is sleeping next to him, he's a little more conscious of what is imminently important and what can wait until morning. Thrawn's desire to not disturb his lover actually backfires into him taking better care of himself, too.

Rules: You will be given a word. Share one sentence/excerpt from your WIP that starts with each letter of that word. (In my case, I might have to use a couple WIPs because I'm experiencing one of those working-on-everything-at-once moments >_<)

My word was: SURGE. (S & G are from Shadow & Eventide, U is from an as yet untitled Siegfried/Audrey ACGAS project, R is classic RedCricket from the second chapter of "Just Friends," and E is from a niche Wendy & Lucy/Meek's Cutoff crossover fic that I may or may not ever post since I can't imagine that it will make sense or interest anyone but me 😂)

She had nightmares like this when she was young.

“Until when?” Siegfried asks her, his heart in his throat.

Ruby sighs, Just friends. Just two friends who can’t stop sleeping together.

“Greyscale is a tricky curse.” The man who speaks these words appears to know what he’s talking about, examining Jorah’s compromised skin and giving a blunt prognosis.

Day 1 knife play & blood play

James hetfield

Summary: James carves his name into your thighs.

I lay back with a smile on my face. James glides the cold knife along my breast not cutting me. I shiver a little from the cold. He hasn't cut me get and the suspense is killing me. I don't need to look at him to know that he's smiling as well. He takes the knife away from skin so it doesn't heat up from my body temperature. I look over at him as he twirls the knife. We both stare at it as the light from the street pours into the bedroom and reflects off the knife beautifully.

He takes his eyes of the light and looks at me. He stops twirling the knife and I look back at him. He begins to grin at me. That either means I'm going to be waiting a while before he does anything or he's about to cut me. James moves from sitting next to me to straddling my hips. His cold bare skin is heated up my mine as he sits on top of me. I look up at him and he leans down to kiss me. Our lips connect. His tongue slips into my mouth dancing with mine. I feel the cool metal of the knife press against the side of my face.

He pulls away and moves the knife. He turns it so the now warm side is facing away from me. He presses the cold side of the knife to the opposite side of my face. "Your so fucking pretty" he says smiling slightly. "I'd be prettier if I was bleeding" I say back a smile forming on my face. James takes the knife away from my face. He moves off of my lap and kneels between my thighs still on the bed.

He glides the knife along my right thigh before moving to the left. Then he presses the knife against my right thigh. One small line going straight across. I bite my lip. The cut is small so the pain is mild but I still feel it.

Then a longer one going straight down starting in the middle of the first cut. Tears prick my eyes as this cut stung. Then he quickly does two small lines. The first one starting at the end of the longest line going straight left. The second starting at the end of the third cut going diagonally up. The four cuts forming a fucked up J.

A single tear falls from the corner of my eye and I wipe it off not wanting it to go in my ear. I think he's going to do his initials JH. Next to the J he carves two diagonal lines going down that both touch at their starting points. The two lines almost match up with the length of the J. He cuts a small line connecting the two lines forming an A. I continue to wipe my tears as I find getting tears in my ears incredibly annoying. James cuts two straight lines a decent distance away from each other next to the A.

He cuts a diagonal line going down from the once closest to the A. Starting at the end of the previous line he cut a diagonal line going up to meet the top of the second straight line. Then he moves onto the E. A straight line going down matching the lengths of the previous letters and three small lines coming off of it going right. The S is a tricky one but we know from past experiences that trying to get it curved is a nightmare and looks bad. So it takes his time making it out of seven small lines for my sake.

Then he goes to my left thigh to carve his last names. The H out of three cuts, the E out of four, the T out of two, the F out of three, the I out of three, the second E out of three, the L out of two and the D four. The needs of blood have started to drip and the cuts on my right thigh have started to bleed onto sheet. He places the knife on the sheets and moves further down the bed. He messily licks up the blood allowing it to get on his chin, lip, all around his mouth, as well as some on his nose and cheeks.

I laugh at him when he pulls away from them. The blood on his chin begins to drip down his neck as he straddles my lap again. He leans down to kiss my getting blood all over my face.

russian cyrillic alphabet for anyone who asked! it's gonna be hell of a ride but that's what you asked for kekw

So the cyrillic alphabet was based on the greek alphabet just like the latin alphabet and therefore theres a lot of greek letters in russian

disclaimer for reading rules (you can skip this part)

i need to mention that the russian letters denote sounds but in russian theres such a phonetical phenomenon called reduction and you can hear this as a part of russian accent in english when bed sound like bet, fog like foc, sob like sop etc (b, d, g & others at the end -> p, t, k). Also o, a, e vowels are pronounced differently in different parts of the word... And sadly for russian learners the stress on the words is flexible and changes bc of different reasons. And theres no way you can see stress marks on the words except if youre looking at them in the dictionary.. yeah. So if the pronunciation doesnt make sense thats why

There are 33 letters in russian alphabet. P.s. ['] means its a soft, palatalized sound, like british l in a word village

Аа - basic, its the 'ah' sound (Алфавит [ahl-fah-v'EEt] -> alphabet)

Бб - the capital letter looks like B without the head and the lowercase one looks like 6 for some. You were right when you thought that it looks like B because its the 'b' sound! (Буква [bOOk-va] -> letter, краб [crahp, no not crap] -> crab)

Вв - looks like B, right? that's a v. Imagine it like this emoji :B this silly lil guy looks like theyre saying vvvvv. (Вишня [v'EEsh-n'ya] -> cherry)

Гг - upside down L, its actually g, like a Бумеранг [boo-m'ee-rAHnk] -> boomerang. Another example, Гость [gohst']

Дд - that's a weird looking one, looks like a house and its Дом [dohm, not dom] in russian. Another example, друг [drook] -> друг

Ее - yeah. the pronunciation is yeah (Ель [yel'] -> spruce/christmas tree, деревня [d'ee-r'EHv- n'ya] -> village)

Ёё - the yeah brother! yo lmao (Ёж [yozh] -> hedgehog) its always stressed so no problems with that. btw if you ask me its the most hated letter. ppl dont put it where it should go and just leave e! wtf! its ё т-т)

Жж - looks like a bug and sounds like one. its zhhhh like in the word garage (Жук [zhook] -> bug, гараж [gah-rAHsh] -> garage, see the reduction there?)

Зз - ah yes the number 3. its the z sound actually (Змея [zm'ee-YA] -> snake, образ [OH-brahs] -> look, image, outfit)

Ъъ - you cant pronounce that. its the glottal stop so you pronounce some sounds separately. like british water you would spell it with ъ in theory, waъer (Съел [s-yel] -> he have eaten; if there wasnt a ъ it would be pronounced [s'ehl] which mean he has sat down. different meaning)

Ыы - okay thats a tricky one. make this face 😬 and now make a sound. thats ы, ive marked it as y in the square brackets (Мы [my] -> we, us)

Ьь - cant pronounce that too. this one denotes the softness of the consonant sound

Ээ - ay without the y (=Эй)

Юю - you (Юбка [YOObkah] -> skirt)

Яя - ya, not backwards R (Яблоко [YAH-blah-koh] -> apple, Pommie ^_^)

Now try to write down your name or the name of a cc/npc/egg/other in russian ! you can leave them in the comments or in my ask box, id love to see you learning :D

some tips on transliterating:

ENGLISH w is generally у, can be в. q is к (qu is кв), j/g is дж, x is кс, h is г in the begging of the names/foreigh words like hannibal is ганнибал

SPANISH ñ is нь, pls google other cases

PORTUGUESE nh is нь, lh is ль, pls google other cases

general advice try transliterating like Fit -> Фит, so every letter/cluster of letters in the original language correlates with similar letter in russian. but in french portuguese and spanish you have to pay close attention to pronunciation, more than to the spelling cuz Ricardo will be Рикардо for spanish but Рикарду for portuguese etc etc

Extended Cyrillic alphabet for English use - Version 1.0

Hi, I'm Max. Whoever reads this (thank you!) might have noticed that my blog is currently a complete, confusing mess, which I promise is not intentional. My intention with this project was to create an alphabet that could be used for multiple languages, including but not limited to English, Spanish, my native Portuguese, and of course, Russian, however that's way beyond whatever a potential audience for the blog would even be interested in for the most part. As such, I am making this list of characters and phonemic examples which may be more useful than the previous tactic of throwing a complete list of letters at you and hoping you know which ones you'll want or need to know. You will notice some new decisions that are different from the ones I made before, these were made after much consideration of what has been useful and practical for me, both in my own physical writing and while using a few of the many available Church Slavonic keyboards on my cellphone and computer. Enjoy!

P.S.: As a basis, I've generally used the Shavian alphabet, which has a list of phonemes George Bernard Shaw thought needed to be distinguished through letters. I did take the liberty of slashing most diphthongs, except for those that occur most frequently.

P.P.S.: Sidenote, if you want to evaluate if a letter might have been a good choice or not, try writing the words provided as examples using this alphabet.

Сс as in Sum, Зз as in Zoom, Шш as in Sure, Жж as in aZure, Чч as in CHeck, Ꙉꙉ as in Judge, НГнг* as in thiNG, Хх as in Help, Іі as in maY, Ѵѵ as in Work

Лл as in Luck, Рр as in Realm, Мм as in Much, Нн as in Name

* НГ is a tricky bitch. You might ask yourself, why would you use a digraph as a single letter? And the answer is I don't want to! A ligature of these two exists in Unicode! But the Gboard Old Church Slavonic keyboard, which I'm using for the moment, doesn't have it :(. This does highlight the problem of different keyboards not having it as part of their system, so if you want to use them as a ligature or as separate letters, it's fine.

Cheap Divination Method: Witchy Alphabet Soup

An idea came to my mind today: How can I guess specific words, names, without use a pendulum? I don’t want use the Ouija and I can’t tune with pendulums, so I was short of methods, and for a while wondered what to do. And today I got the idea. CHEAP idea (Trash Witch at the rescue).

The idea is: Make an alphabet soup in a paper and drop anything ring-ish, so the letters that are inside the ring, are the used letters of the word.

How tow make it? Two “ingredients”: Paper and rings.

First you need to get a paper (A4 kind of paper is the perfect size), it can be blank but if is squared sheet, damn it will be way easier. Then you fill it with letters. You can be savage and do it randomly, or follow a typical alphabet soup squared form (which is not needed, I just use squared sheet because I can measure better how big the letters are and how far they are from each other).

The tricky part is which letter and how many from each other are needed. In English speaker people is easier. Here https://wordsearches.brightsprout.com/word-search-maker?gad_source=1 is an alphabet soup maker, quite cool, just follow it and you will be fine. Have in mind that the frequency of letters in English (from most to less common) are etaoinshrdlcumwfgypbvkjxqz. So make sure to have enough of the first half at least. A good rule to make it is writing that first etaoinshr word 4 times, then dlcumwfg 2 times and ypbvkjxqz one time. Repeat it until fill the page (I think repeat it 5 times give you a good chunk of letters with which you can work, but it depends of how big is your page). Make sure to make it a little messy, but just flow with it, who I’m to tell you what to do.

DISCLAMER: Different languages have a different letter frequency, so you will have to check that if you want to do it on your native language. In my case (Spanish), the frequency is e, a, o, s, r, n, i, d, l, c, t, u, m, p, b, g, v, y, q, h, f, z, j, ñ, x, k, w. But in any language, do the same, part the set of letters in 3 (very frequent, common and less frequent) and do the same than in English.

So after that you will have a nice page of letters. So now with the ring part.

Here the trick is found something ring shaped where the center is empty, so it let you see the letter inside, and heavy enough to toss it in the paper. If you do it with rings made of paper, will be maybe too light. A firm cardboard can maybe work. My favorite are these ring links used in jewelry to put different pieces together. They are heavy enough for the work.

If you drink a lot, you can maybe use the ring pull, but you will need letters big enough because the joke is that you need one letter fitting perfectly inside (If inside the ring is two half letters, is not an answer. It must be at least 90% the letter to consider it a firm YES).

You can also play with what you have. If you have one ring, good, throw it one time, take note the letter, throw it again and again, until you have a word that have some sense (Yes, it can have mistakes but if the final word is something like HELTP you can know that say HELP. But if it says INWLSW is like nonsense).

If you have several rings, you can throw them all together. I personally use 5 because witchy pentacle, right?

So yes, that’s my initial idea. Be free to use and experiment with it, see if works for you. Plus, it looks innocent enough to witches in the closet!
