negan and maggie’s relationship is so. so fuckign fascinating to me. like. like…imagine teaming up with someone (repeatedly) who killed the love of your life and was also either directly or indirectly responsible for the death of your friends. imagine wanting nothing more than wanting to kill this person and feeling bitter and angry because your friends refuse to kill this person. you are so anguished over it that you leave with your son (whose father was murdered by this person), and then you come back, and all your friends seem to begrudgingly trust (or at least coexist) with this awful person. and this person is now trying to help you. he saves your life multiple times and also saves your son, the last living reminder of your murdered love. this person is asking to become the monster so you don’t have to. this person tells you that you need to come back. this person understands that you would kill him, and he might even let you. he lets you do the closest thing to killing him instead—he lets you turn him in, knife to his throat, and you’re leaving him, and your son won’t talk to you, and you come to the sudden realization that perhaps you need to go back for this monster. what the hell kind of dynamic is this

as barton was left to his own devices in the kitchen, it only then just occurred to him how the seven-fold bistro had a tv in the side of their lobby. and that could potentially be very bad if they weren't talking about the latest humdrum gossip in relation to bruce wayne or something — so, he would have to find a way to not appear suspicious and also, turn it off if they were talking about the death of the two guards already. barton sighed to himself as he pushed a chunk of the chicken on his plate to the side. he really had his work cut out for him here, didn't he?
of course, there might be a chance that jervis could handle it, he thought. but the last time he had handled something, he'd done it by sticking pins into someone. barton suddenly found himself standing up as if he was startled by the very thought of something like that happening to ravi. he had to create some sort of plan, for he couldn't just bust out of those doors, even if nothing was going on on that television. he tapped on the cold steel of the table below him with his sharpened nails as he contemplated what to do. maybe he could just stick by the almost saloon style doors of them for a bit and listen in on what exactly was going on out there.
just as ravi and jervis had made it to the front of the restaurant, his feet were carrying him to push his entire body flush against the doors, but with not enough pressure to actually open them. he thought he could hear jervis's voice now, but it was very distorted by the wall between him and the rest of the bistro. so he would have to get closer to the outside if he actually wanted to hear anything. while barton was now stressing, ravi honestly couldn't have looked more relaxed, as any friend of barton's was a friend of his. ( except they weren't really friends at all... but i digress. ) he smiled slightly whenever he heard him mention the soup out of approval, ❝ ooh... good choice. i love our mulligatawny soup, but it usually has rice in it, rather than on the side. but i could always request that our chefs put it there instead if you want. ❞
he shrugged nonchalantly and nodded, knowing that the kitchen would be more than willing to do something like that for jervis. ravi could feel his ears perk up and barton's ears did the same exact thing as a breaking news alert popped up on the tv. alright, well, he was not going to be waiting inside the kitchen any longer for something to happen — that was for sure — and so he opened up one of the doors in such a way that it wouldn't attract much attention. barton seemed to materialize out of quite literally nowhere, at least from ravi's point of view, before he was grabbing him by the opposite shoulder a little aggressively but not too much.
barton had played this off as him trying to playfully scare the other but what he was really aiming to do was turn the tv off. and that's exactly what he managed to do with the remote below the counter while ravi was too busy with being shocked, but then laughing in response to barton's 'cheeky' behavior as he spoke to him in between laughs and pushed him away from him, before punching his arm. ❝ oh, my god. you scared me! you jerk, why did you do that? don't tell me that this is you still being bitter that i beat you last time we sparred or something. ❞ ravi was still laughing, so he obviously didn't mean anything that he said in a malicious way as barton himself tried to catch onto the other's wrist before he punched him, but failed.
barton chuckled a few times before nursing the spot where ravi punched him with his arm. he made himself look guilty, only after winking at jervis whenever the other party wasn't looking, as if to say ' you're welcome ' and said, ❝ ahh, you caught me. but scaring you totally satisfied my need for revenge after you beat me. so, at least there's kind of a positive side to all of this. and just to keep you in the loop, jervis, me and ravi sometimes spar together because we're both boxers, ❞ barton gestured to the other man with one hand while ravi came down from his laughter. he made a playful ' shoo ' gesture towards barton, then. ❝ hey. me and your friend, who is also my friend now, by the way, were having a rather rousing conversation about his interest in the mulligatawny soup before you came along. so if you wouldn't mind... ❞
ravi left barton to fill in the lines of what else he was going to say before the blonde raised his hands in feigned surrender and sat down across a few seats away from them behind the counter. ravi laughed, making a ' come hither ' gesture towards himself, ❝ i was just joking, barton. you don't have to sit so far away. but anyway, i'll put in your order for the soup, if there are no objections? ❞ barton moved silently closer to ravi in particular, setting down his curry in front of him. he seemed oddly a bit protective of ravi based on the look he gave jervis.
it was one that said ' you better continue being nice to him or i'll kill you. ' and trust me, barton would do it, too.

slides on the floor- Hi hello, time for ANOTHER Mira doodle dump-
Because I don't draw this girl enough /j
But this time grabbing @myriadium 's M/RA [see the post here]
Absolute unit- I love her a lot-
I also drew some AU interactions because why not throw this Mira with the "Mira pack"-
I'll give some explanation to these doodles-
I love how in her illusion form there's still some oddities, like the 4 eyes. I also saw her height and HOLY- she's TALL-
OG Mira is terrified while Mire (the one in the middle) is just sad he's no longer the tallest... priorities honestly
Aaaand of course, new girl in town, which means a new person meets my "ray of sunshine"... AS Mira- (the one on the right)
I did post about her in the past but I don't think I've put a full explanation. But for a quick TLDR, the comes from my AU called "Alignment Shift", which means the good guys are bad and bad guys are good. AS Mira is like- bad bad- doesn't care about anyone and WILL insult anyone (including other Mira variants)...
Of course- I did want to draw some interactions that included her base/true form too- so here's AS Mira again, alongside Fire Mira. (Long story short, girl got cursed and now has some oddities of her own).
Fire Mira seems to be amazed seeing M/RA's base form- AS Mira isn't.
And for the last ones-
Kitty
I may draw more in the future (esp since I want to do a proper drawing at some point) but for now I wanted to post these-

i was doing a rewatch of nickelodeon's victorious and there's about twenty thousand things wrong with that show but one thing that really struck me was the character of jade and how she's the shallowest representation of an 'alt girl'. and this is definitely an issue that mainstream media is still suffering from but it's like at that time they had absolutely no idea how to write a goth girl. i can assure you it is so much worse than you remember.
i don't think they were going for a specific subculture when they picked out her outfits, they kind of just threw a bunch of styles together to create 'some sort of an alt girl'. her outfits looked like a softer/more casual version of trad goth, i think. since she would be wearing them to school or in her daily life i think the outfits were fine. but they failed with her personality SO BAD.
because tell me why this "goth girl" was a loud transphobe and a misogynist. this girl insulted other people's looks, their weight, their outfits ALL THE TIME. she made fun of "manly looking girls" and i know robbie possibly being a trans boy was a laughing stock for the whole show but it was still so weird seeing jade, with her red doc martens and fishnet stockings and a hairdye that would send conservatives into the grave even today, make jokes about it.
i get that this show is from 2013 and on nickelodeon so they couldn't be *gasp* queer allies BUT even for that time, her being misogynistic is fucking ridiculous... she would call girls ugly back and forth, she would make everyone feel bad about everything about themselves for fun. that wasn't something tori or cat or even trina would do, only jade because she was "an angry person". not to mention they painted her to be this dangerous, violent person that would threaten to harm people if they so much as looked at her wrong.
and the thing is, gothics are angry people. but their anger is towards inequality, patriarchy, fast fashion/consumerism, corrupt governments. hollywood looks at these kind of subcultures in the most surface level way possible, they focus on the part that they're angry people, and never stop to ask what they're angry about.
and this is NOT just lazy writing. because if you want to depoliticize the youth you start by making up rumors about the politicized youth. you push this literal propaganda in mainstream media until the vast majority of your country is convinced that hippies are junkies, punks are violent, goths are scary. alt people are weird and angry and dangerous. you make jokes about it, you use their names like an insult, and if you do it well and for long enough, no one will take them seriously anymore. no one will stop to ask alt people what they believe in and what they stand against. they'll just see them as soft kids looking for attention.
so we end up with characters like jade west, who could only have two effects on society, both of them in favor of a corrupt government looking to depoliticize people. 1) she would make goth/alt people seem too angry and violent so parents would be cautious of them and never take them seriously, 2) she would take all the political and philosophical aspects out of this subculture so the next generation of girls would just buy goth clothes from hot topic and never understand what the subculture actually stands for.

Hey! Sorry you don't get many questions.
Is there anything you'd like to see adapted into a TV series that hasn't been already? Anything at all.
“Good question. So, I was gonna say Animorphs, but then I remember they did a low budget Nickelodeon show in the 90s. I would love to see that remade though.”
“Aside from that, the book Restart by Gordon Korman would make a super awesome movie.”
“Then there’s the entire My Teacher Is An Alien series by the legendary Bruce Coville that totally deserves its own TV show or Movie Quadrilogy. I would prefer it to be a TV show though. That way important character arcs wouldn’t have to be cut for time.”

the theme of neutral end AU hinges on this excerpt from a thing i wrote about aruna,
"he wonders if it would’ve been better to slowly starve and be remembered by the stars the husk of their comet drifted by, or if going in a flash to be scorned by countless planets was the kinder end"
and very simply, "a necessary end".
black doom takes back his son before gerald can run more experiments on him. he thinks he's doing the right thing. he wouldn't hurt shadow like gerald and the humans would. he can give him a real home, a family, a warmer life free of dna-melting tests and stress and— the grass is always greener on the other side, isn't it? at least until you look back and find that one side is watered with rain and the other with blood.
death will come when it will come. and it is, slowly, agonizingly slowly, but at least there was love. at least there was warmth. at least it was worth it. it was worth it. it was worth it.
wasn't it?
they were already suffering and starving and dying by the time he took shadow in. he was doomed to fail. every black arms timeline stemming from him is doomed to fail. he hopes someone remembers them with understanding or the least amount of pity. he hopes shadow forgives him. he hopes it was worth it
