“ ― Don’t be ridiculous.” Her tone is sharp as Yotsuyu directs her gaze away from Meteor, resisting the urge to roll her eyes. She remembers well how some of the other higher ranking courtesans in the brothel were taught how to dance so they may entertain their guests. She had been among the ones that were taught how to play the Koto instead, something that she finds rather… enjoyable. 

What an odd question to ask her, though. Clicking her tongue in annoyance softly, Yotsuyu shifts to watch the other again for a few seconds. Piercing, wary, and curious all the same.

“I was taught how to play an instrument, but how to dance… no,” she adds after a few more seconds, her voice just a tad more mellow than before. “Why do you ask?”

★ — Neuvillette

     He actually knows how to dance to some extent. When you two are in his office and he's not busy, he'll put on some calm, classical music and invite you to dance with him, holding out a gloved hand and asking, "Would you like this danser with me, my love?" to which you always accept.

     You two do the typical slow dance, chest to chest, his left hand on your back and his other hand holding yours out with his as he dances with you and his forehead rests on yours. If you don't know how to dance, he'll do his best to show you where your feet go and how to move. He always makes eye contact with you too with a visible smile on his face as he dances with you in his office.

     Near where the parts where the sing picks up in speed, he typically likes to spin you around and dip you. It was nothing extravagant, but it let you know he loves you. And if you're somehow taller than him (which I doubt) even by an inch, if you dip him in turn, he won't know what to do and start fumbling his steps and words, his face slightly flushed.

     At the end of the classical songs you dance to, he dips you and gently kisses you, eyes closing, and he can't help but smile into the kiss. No matter what gender you were, if you wanted to dance with him, he'd dance. ☆

✦ — Furina

     Furina also actually knows how to dance, despite her childish and boisterous nature. If you don't know how to dance, she'll make a fuss about it at first, but she willingly helps you out while the upbeat classical music plays in the background. Furina actually loves to dance with you, it's a good stress reliever and a good way to pass time.

     If you're taller than her, you'd dip her (because she probably couldn't, but might try) and if she's taller than you, she'd dip you, but you'd still dip her as occasionally if you can. She likes to mainly be spun around herself, but she might spin you if she can. Her dancing will probably always be dramatic, she finds it entertaining to dance calmly yet do a bunch of action while doing so. She doesn't really kiss you while dancing, but she'll touch your nose with hers and smile while doing so.

     She doesn't dance often, but when she does, it's always going to be with you, especially when she's feeling down, and you'll always come to her beck and call even if you're busy it's a little later than when she asks. ✧

★ — Wriothesley

     He's not great at dancing, but he knows the basics. Whenever you visit the Fortress, you come to hang around in his office and you asked one day if he wanted to dance with you. He said he doesn't know how to dance very well, and if you don't either, he just laughs a bit, joking about how you two might trip over yourselves and if you do know how to dance, you're definitely teaching him some things.

     Like Neuvillette, he plays some typical classical music to dance to. He holds you gently in his arms and the two of you sway together and move, foreheads occasionally resting together. He likes to tease you and just say lovey-dovey things as you two dance, and he does it all while smiling. Sometimes Sigewinne would walk in on you two dancing and stifle a giggle if you two stumble on your feet.

     He likes to dip you and kiss you on your forehead and if you can dip him, he'd be surprised at first but then laugh in amusement as you kiss him where you want to.

     You both know how to dance better with time and everytime after you dance with him, he invites you to drink a cup of tea every time. ☆

✦ — Navia

     Very good at dancing. She’ll show you how to dance if you don’t and if you do, you just dance together to the classical upbeat but slow music she puts on. She uses dancing as a form of coping, but she also does it for fun most of the time. She likes to rest her forehead against yours and look in your eyes as you two move and sway.

     She smiles and laughs as you two do this, having a moment away from the world and stress where just the two of you exist. After your dances, she always makes some sweets for both of you and if you don't like sweets, she'll make what you like as a snack and if she doesn't know how to cook it, she'll learn how to cook it for you.

     Dancing is her favorite pastime and stress reliever, especially with you, and likes to just talk and eat with you afterwards and share acts of affection. ✧

★ — Clorinde

     She doesn't actually know how to dance, being the Champion Duelist and all. If you don’t know how to dance but want to dance with her, she’ll try to learn for you or with you. You two stumble over each other's feet a lot and fumble a bunch of things, more so if you don't know how to dance either.

     She knows what music to dance to, obviously, but she doesn't really know where to put her hands and feet. She doesn't mean to seem creepy at all, but she either stares into your eyes with her face showing minimal emotion, or she glances down at her feet to try and move correctly.

     Once she's confident enough, she could try to dip you if you wanted, but don't expect it to be very good. She tries and you don't fall, but it's not a very optimal position. She really does love you, but she doesn't know how to express it, especially in dancing.

     She really does try to learn, but she doesn't have much time to even dance honestly. She feels kinda bad she can't dance, but you reassure her it's ok, and she smiles at your words. ☆

✦ — Lyney

     An amazing dancer and definitely knows how to be romantic. He probably learned some dances from Arlecchino at some point and even though he's short, and you're not to tall of course, he'll dip you every chance he gets, but won't deny being the one dipped and to invite you to dance with him, he'll walk up to you after putting on some music, he'll put a hand behind his back and offer out his hand and say, "Come danser with me, my dear."

     He likes to flirt with you whenever he spins you and dips you and does it as flawlessly as always. If you don't know how to dance, he'll happily teach you, showing you how to move your feet and where to put your hands. He likes teaching you, and every time you stumble, he laughs a bit lightheartedly.

     Like "Father," he also loves and cherishes dancing, it's just a lot more romantic with less unsettling and off-putting tones to the music and dancing. ✧

★ — Lynette

     Lynette also knows how to dance very well like her brother, just less romantic. She doesn't dance much, but she knows how. If you don't know how, she won't question it and immediately start to show you what to do without any kind of teasing. She doesn't care who dips who or even if you dip each other at all, she prefers to spin or be spun anyways.

     She's silent while you dance to the calming violin and piano music, but she has a slight smile on her face as she dances with you, her love. She learned a lot of her dances from "father" but put her own flair to it, so her dancing is unique.

     She's not very expressive but she does definitely love you, just doesn't express that much. ☆

✦ — Arlecchino

     Literally such a good dancer, the best. She knows where to put her hands and feet and stares at you with a gentle smile. She isn't a very affectionate person, but dancing is one thing she can do to show the love she has for you. She likes the classical music like many other Fontainians do, but she has this ominous off-putting tone to the music. The crusty sounding notes being out together to make something nice and classical, but also an unsettling undertone to it.

     She likes to dance with some of the House of Hearth kids, hence why most of them know how to dance, but nothing compares to dancing with you. She doesn't get super romantic, but she gets super into the dancing itself. If you don't know how to dance, she'll playfully tease you for a moment but happily teaches you anyway.

     She doesn't express her love much, mostly due to being away with Fatui duties, but with dancing you can tell she'd do anything for you. ✧

Random Jareth thoughts and ideas that have been collecting dust in my notes app lol. Pls tag me if you use any of these 💜

1. Reader is Jareth's new bride and he's helping her get used to her new Fae like magic powers that she gained upon their marriage, but things keep going humorously wrong, much to Jareth's amusement. He tries teaching her how to transform into an owl, but she turns herself into a pigeon. He tries showing her how to conjure and juggle crystals, but hers keep turning into snakes and she's so startled she drops them. etc., etc. you can take it from there

2. You're Jareth's wife. You sometimes accompany him to the Aboveground, but prefer staying in the castle to comfort the wished away children and ease their fears and homesickness. Jareth begins to notice your maternal behavior, particularly around the babes. You read to them, play with them, and sing lullabies to them as you wipe away their tears and rock them in your arms. You're always the most devastated when it's a babe that's turned into a goblin over an older child. Jareth comforts you in your shared chambers, and realizes you want a child. He wants you to be happy, and your wish is one he is all too eager to grant. You do have 13 hours to be alone together, after all.

3. You're Jareth's human wife, but fear you'll grow old and he'll stop loving you since he's immortal. You avoid him, making him suspicious. He spies on you in owl form and overhears you confide in your friend Hoggle, who distrusts Jareth & worries for you. He tries talking you into throwing away your ring and running back to your old life Aboveground, but Jareth intervenes, accusing Hoggle of betrayal & turning you against him. He's ready to throw Hoggle into the bog, but you stop him and calm his temper. He swears he won't let you age or die. You're the only one worthy of ruling beside him forever.

4. Sort of Hades and Persephone AU where Jareth has been alone for so long that he abducts reader, even though she was betrothed to someone else. She tries to escape and goes on a hunger strike for many days, despite Jareth’s efforts to tempt her into eating. She knows of Fae rules and refuses to dance, eat their food, say her name, give thanks, etc. She befriends Hoggle, who is able to smuggle her human food and drink. What reader doesn’t know is her fiancé willingly traded her away to marry someone else and isn’t coming to her rescue. Jareth eventually seduces her and tricks her into eating food of the Fae, trying to calm her when she breaks out of her trance and tries to thrash and spit it out. He tells her she was always his, that he loved her the moment he saw her. Reader is devastated her fiancé would betray her in such a way. And Jareth is always full of tricks and schemes. Despite the circumstances of their meeting, he wants to make his bride happy. If she wants him to seek revenge on her former fiancé, he will. All she need do is ask. Jareth won’t let that unworthy mortal get away with what he’s done. He should’ve known that when making dealings with a Fae, there’s always fine print that can be twisted and turned against you.

5. Reader is also Fae or a mythical creature from a Realm similar to Jareth. Long ago, she decided to leave and go live Aboveground. She doesn’t regret her decision since she needed to go, but she regrets hurting her dearest friend, Jareth. One day as she's putting away her precious keepsakes from her past, she stumbles across his book. The Labyrinth. She begins to remember all the moments she had with him. When they played together as children, when they danced as teenagers. When they kissed as adults. She wishes she had a second chance with him. A chance to start over, to give their love a proper chance to bloom. She believes that it’s too late now. She can never have that chance. She thinks she must put away her dreams, Including her dream to be reunited with her best friend and almost lover. But maybe Jareth is closer than she realizes. And perhaps he’s willing to reorder time, only for her.

6. It’s been many years since reader successfully ran the labyrinth. She decided to return home after saving her wished away sibling. Reader is now living in London. She still remembers the Labyrinth and the many colorful friends she made there. However, she hasn't seen them in a long time. She's not the imaginative girl she used to be since she became an adult, and is no longer playing games of make believe or getting lost in fantasies and daydreams. She accidentally bumps into a man on the street, and ends up falling to the ground. He apologizes and helps her up. She takes his hand and as soon as she stands up straight, she's in shock at what she sees. The resemblance is striking. He even has the same unusual eyes as him. But it couldn't be Jareth, could it? The man only smiles and stretches out his hand as he says,

"Hello, my name is David. David Bowie.”

Sure can! So, I’m heavily falling back into BNHA/MHA and thus a new idea spawned from the ashes of an old one. Dancing in the Dark will be an analyst Izuku/Vigilante Izuku fanfic, with a few OC’s I’m excited to introduce! (Like always 😆) It’s mostly crackish, as I’m mostly writing for vibes and have no idea if I plan to stick to a mildly canon timeline or just. Off the rails we go haha.

Something I want to write in the future, hmm…I think I want to do something in the “Rising of the Shield Hero” fandom? But I haven’t a grasp yet on how that fandom feels about OCs…or shipping canon characters with OCs…so very vague ideas there at the moment.

There’s also an original idea I want to do - a few of them. One is I want to write a bunch of “Where Were You” fics for The Lost City cast. I want to write where exactly they were when the apocalypse came to a head, like where Dr. Ender was or what Erik was doing. There’s also a Surefire Camp snippet for Halloween I want to finish up, it’s almost done but needs fine tuning. And I really want to do some worldbuilding for the other universes I’ve made - ahhh! Dr. Ender: Ender actually never got their doctorate, like, they’re not currently supposed to be a doctor. What happened was, while working alongside their father on the front lines of the Mutant Virus, they ended up witnessing more than they should. After seeing their father experiment on countless infected, and the death of one they bonded with closely, they decided to leave. After setting the base on fire and running for it. Surprisingly, they’re more determined to keep the whole “Not Completing Classes” quiet than the other half!

Victoria: Victoria is one of the few humans who never gained a Mutation, so she decided to force one. She’s been experimenting on herself using the poisons she creates, and it’s actually showing. Her hair has gone white and brittle, she’s pale as a ghost, and constantly wears gloves now to cover marks. This is more of an open secret, as the others are trying to help her, but they don’t realize just how far she’s gone to try - after being seduced by a enemy soldier, she sold out Ricky to Gillihead, got him kidnapped, and is still keeping quiet about this. Nobody knows she had a hand in the event that, in the story, ends Arc One and really starts the action.

Cleona: Before Cleona came into the care of Phil and The Marksman at Surefire Camp, she was found in a barn - outside, three corpses. Two of the bodies were killed in a gunfight, but the last one was found holding a gun and appearing to be mauled to death. It’s assumed the two shot were her parents, but it’s unclear who the third was. Cleona has never told the others this, but she hates living deep in the woods because of this. She can hear gunshots of hunters, and it still scares her.

Althea: Before the events of Cloaks in the Wind, Althea was actually a really brutal person! Her magic was dangerous, and she was almost addicted to the feeling of it. It’s why she was worried about teaching Izuku hostile magic, and why she was so relieved he didn’t want that. She knows first hand how it can change someone, and now she is doing her best to stick to a vow of pacifism moving forward.

Midoriya Jinx: Technically not as bad, but Jinx has two big secrets she’s keeping from Izuku. One: The reason she won’t come home. He has a feeling it involves their mother, but has no idea how badly. On Jinx’s 16th birthday her Quirk(All for One) came in and made Inko push her away. Inko was very against Jinx’s previous “choices”(Critical of heroes, standing out, being as bold and loud as she could) but the final straw was having her father’s Quirk. It ended in a blowout fight that led to Jinx leaving and never properly coming back. Jinx knows Inko loves Izuku, and doesn’t want to damage their relationship. The second secret is her job: she fights in underground Quirk rings, and even takes the Quirks of her opponents. For obvious reasons, this is highly illegal.

Hello um im SO sorry that this will be long but please eodhk its been a whole night and i cant stop thinking about your work moonlight . Every time i hear someone say "baby" my mind zoooms back to your work. Gosh..to have baby as your nickname [head in my hands] but yohr writing was soooo incredible like each and every scene was packed with flavour and fun and not once did the writing stray or feel like a filler ahh i would love to eat moonlight <3. Also i have never seen the movie because my parents never let me as a kid so i dove into the au really excited and NOW I WANT TO WATCH THE MOVIE SOK BADD. But i'd lije to share certain thoughts as scenes i love. First of all...baby's whole personality (she's MY baby shes my sweet meow i love her) and every description of sunghoon made me feel soo many things but that scene where baby's in the staff area and he motions her closer (phew i get you baby i get it) and the part where she presses closer so she can lean far back and trust him to not let go is SO important because its got gorge visuals, they already trust each other (somewhat) and foreshadowingkedjk. Jake my sweet baby he was soo silly and goofy throughout. Im really glad chaewon was safe and it was so natural of her to be hostile to baby at first ah but HEESUNG?? GOD I DISLIKED HIM SO MUCH HE WAS A FREAK!! Especially the way his personality switched (but the scene where sunghoon jumps over the banister to punch him..crowd cheering) but he was such a hypcrite that heesung boy..he aint right. you're caught in a strange place and all you can do is wash up, eat breakfast and at least try to study before Hwiyoung gets there.

the doorbell to your apartment rings and you jump off your desk, racing to open the door. you take a few deep breaths first, straighten your shirt and then enter.

"hi, y/n..." Hwiyoung says in a deep voice. he opts for awkwardly waving at you rather than hugging or shaking your hand, since he doesn't know you all too well.

he looks around your apartment right away when he steps inside and removes his shoes. this is all so y/n, even though i don't even know them that well, he thinks to himself.

"so what's the favour, princess?" he asks, sitting on your couch.

your ears twitch at the sudden pet name.

"well... why don't i grab you a drink first. do you want tea? coffee?" you ask, just trying to avoid the inevitable.

"coffee should do it," he says, leaning back.

you can't help but admire how good he looks as you make the coffee. his hair is slightly wet and very curly, sticking to his forehead because of the rain outside. his tight, black jeans don't miss a single curve of his legs, and the black leather jacket that he wears over his white t-shirt shines under the ceiling lights.

you suck in a breath and look away, returning to the coffee packets and mugs in your hands.

"here you go," you say, finally handing him a mug.

he thanks you and blows over the drink before taking a sip.

"now will you tell me what i'm here for?" Hwiyoung asks, eyeing you.

you scratch the back of your head, nervous but ready to just get it over with.

"yeah, so... i need you to teach me something. i'm not sure who else i can ask."

Hwiyoung raises an eyebrow at you, clearly intrigued.

you clear your throat and sit up straight, heart racing in your chest. hey, if this gets weird or he doesn't agree, you can just move on and avoid him for the rest of your life!

it won't be that easy, though.

you squeeze your eyes tightly shut.

"i need you to teach me... how to kiss," you mumble, hoping he heard you.

"how to kiss?" he repeats but louder.

you nod, avoiding his eyes, and he smirks at you.

"well where did you get that filthy idea from, princess? are you just tryna get in bed with me?" he asks, the tone of his voice low.

"no! no, i swear no! this is genuinely just.. kissing and nothing else!" you clarify.

he cocks his head to one side, still smirking at you.

"well, what's in it for me?"

you bite your lip. you hadn't thought that far...

"my grades are suffering. if you could help me with that, i'd appreciate it," Hwiyoung offers.

"tutoring? sure, i can definitely tutor you!" you agree.

Hwiyoung nods.

"are we starting right away today, or?" he asks.

your heart races at the thought, and you stay silent.

"okay, looks like you need some time. what day, when and where am i meeting you?" Hwiyoung asks.

"Same time, same place, same day of the week as today," you say.

He nods again, standing up to leave.

"sounds great. i'll see myself out, then, princess."

Hwiyoung leaves, his half empty coffee cup still steaming on the coffee table. you're left wondering how this all ended up working out.

exactly a week later, you're just the same. peacefully studying at your desk, or trying to, when the doorbell rings and you jump up to open the door. Hwiyoung looks the same, too. his hair still long and curled, his clothes still black leather jacket on white tee over black skinny jeans.

"am i teaching you first or are you teaching me first?" he asks, setting down his bag.

"i think it would be better for my anxiety if you taught me first," you say, knowing you wouldn't be able to focus on tutoring if you knew that Hwiyoung would be kissing you just moments later.

"okay.. are you fine with sitting on the couch?" Hwiyoung asks.

you nod, and the two of you sit beside each other. there's a huge gap between the two of you, and Hwiyoung chuckles.

"come closer. i can't just kiss the air, princess," he points out.

you shuffle forward 'til you're close enough.

"okay... so what exactly am i teaching you? the types of kisses? how to kiss?" Hwiyoung asks.

"how... to kiss," you mumble.

"okay, princess. so, have you kissed before?" Hwiyoung asks.

you shake your head, no, and he grins as you hang your head low.

"so i'll be your first kiss? is that... okay?"

you look up at him, a little shocked that someone like him is concerned about someone like that. nonetheless, you nod, yes.

"okay, well, when you kiss... you can't just go straight in, or your noses will hit each other's and that'll suck. you have to go in with your head tilted, like this."

naturally, Hwiyoung's hand reaches up to hold the back of your head. he draws close, tilting his head to demonstrate. his lips are just centimetres away from yours, but he doesn't let them touch. you let out a huge breath of air after he moves away. your heart was racing and he hadn't even kissed you, yet! so what would a kiss with Hwiyoung be like then?

"S-so... did you get that?" Hwiyoung falters, clearing his throat and hoping he won't stutter again.

something was off about that... something was off when he leaned in. immediately, he felt his face getting red and his heart hammering in his chest. that stuff never happens to him. maybe it's 'cause he's being put on the spot and asked to teach how to kiss?

"yeah, i got it," you mutter, nodding along.

"it's also helpful to do stuff with your hand. you noticed how i was holding the back of your head, right? stuff like that makes it better and more... enjoyable?"

"so i should hold the back of your head, too?" you shyly ask.

"only, if you want, princess. you can also hold the person's face or cheek or whatever, like this--"

Hwiyoung large, warm hand cups your left cheek. his thumb swipes back and forth over your face.

"doing something like this is good, t-too," Hwiyoung stutters yet again, blown away by how the contact of his hand and your soft face is making his heart race again.

he carefully pulls away, weirded out by his own emotions.

"what else?" you ask, eager to know more.

"uh... well some people also like to run their fingers through the other person's hair... or have their arms around the other person's shoulders, waist or neck. sometimes rubbing their back, sides... it's all up to you. i think it'll just come naturally to you in the moment when you figure it out, princess," Hwiyoung explains.

you nod, pressing your lips together.

"i'll try actually kissing you this time, if that's okay," Hwiyoung says.

you slowly nod.

"just close your eyes and try to follow me, okay? it's okay if it's messy or weird. you'll figure it out with time."

for some reason, Hwiyoung feels the need to be gentle with you. that's why he keeps clarifying, asking if you're okay, and taking things so slowly.

he holds your face in both hands and leans in... then he stops and lets out a laugh.

"close your eyes, princess. it's so much easier that way. and there's no need to pucker your lips like that."

you feel super embarrassed but do as he says, and this time, Hwiyoung properly closes the gap between the two of you.

his lips feel soft and magical on top of yours. your hands, which are at your sides, ball into fists as butterflies rage within you. so this is what it must feel like, you realize.

Hwiyoung finds himself stroking your cheeks with his thumbs as his lips are still pressed to yours. it's a completely unconscious gesture, and so is him gently tilting your head back to deepen the kiss. he feels your lips part as you let out a gasp, and he wastes no time in entering with his tongue, exploring the inside of your mouth.

he pulls back to chew on your bottom lip slightly before he realizes that he's completely gone overboard and he should probably stop, now. so, he slowly pulls away, your face still in his hands until he lets go.

the way you're glowing makes his heart race even faster, and so does the way your eyelids slowly flutter open.

"i-i'm really sorry, i went overboard--" Hwiyoung starts.

"is that what it's like?" you ask.

"hm?"

"is that what... kissing is like?"

"uh... yeah?"

you burst into a smile, touching your lips with your fingers. Hwiyoung's face becomes a mirror of yours, a smiling mess.

"i-i think it's best we stop here for the day, princess. can you tutor me now, instead?" Hwiyoung asks.

you nod, telling him you'll grab your notes from your room and will be back. in the meantime, Hwiyoung shakily reaches for his own things. he feels so weird... his heart has not stopped pounding and he wonders if it's some kind of health problem. his face and ears feel hot. he tries to remember if this has ever happened before with any of the other people he's been with... but no. perhaps it's just your shyness rubbing off on him!

when you come back, you help him go over the most important things: the units that will be on the upcoming tests. you kindly explain and re-explain anything that Hwiyoung doesn't understand, help him go through some practice problems, and even help him make a test review.

hours pass with the two of you studying like that, until you notice your living room has gone dark. the sun has set!

"oh... i should probably get going," Hwiyoung says, starting to pack up.

"but you didn't even eat anything! i'm so sorry--"

"no, it's okay, princess. you can feed me next time, okay? i'll be off," Hwiyoung says, standing up and quickly walking to your door.

you watch him open it and step out, closing it behind him.

during the week, at your classes, you and Hwiyoung act like strangers. it's only on those saturday afternoons that the two of you get intimate.

on another one of those afternoons, you're tugging at Hwiyoung's hair as he kisses you deeply. he lets out a moan right into your mouth before he breathlessly pulls away.

"princess, that... had no right to feel that good," he says, stroking his own hair and wondering why he felt so good when you pulled on it.

"that means i'm doing a good job, right?" you ask, smiling brightly.

"y-yeah."

"well let's move to the homework i gave you last week so i can see if you're doing a good job, too," you say.

Hwiyoung pouts slightly but still pulls out his work. you sit close to him as you explain, and he can't help but stare at your side profile as you talk.

"Hwiyoung? are you daydreaming again? i asked if you could explain how you got to this answer."

"a-ah, yeah..."

after another hour of tutoring him, Hwiyoung leaves your apartment. his legs feel weak as he walks towards the elevator. reaching for his chest, he feels his heart racing yet again. this really isn't good.

he pulls out his phone and asks to meet with an old friend of his.

"wait so... this person you didn't care for at all asked you to teach them how to kiss, and now you're catching feelings?!" Chani clarifies.

Hwiyoung puts down his glass, hard, onto the bar counter.

"no, i'm not catching feelings! i'm telling you i'm getting heart problems whenever i go there, and it's been getting worse," Hwiyoung explains.

"have you ever caught feelings before?" Chani asks his friend.

Hwiyoung blinks back in response, staying silent.

"exactly, so of course you wouldn't know that this is what it's like to catch feelings."

"no... it can't be. right?" Hwiyoung asks, taking a long sip of his drink.

"it definitely is. and you're telling me you're always sad when you have to stop kissing them, that every move they make drives you insane, even though they don't kiss you well. man, if that isn't catching feelings, then i don't know what is!"

"i don't know anything about them, though. i only see them on those saturday afternoons," Hwiyoung says.

"do you want to know more about them?"

"yeah," Hwiyoung mindlessly mutters.

"well, there you have it. you're literally whipped!"

"huh? wait, no--"

"just accept it, Hwiyoung. accept it and go learn more about them, already. i've been worried about you. you always fuck people without feeling a thing but pleasure. you've never cared for anyone except for your friends, and even then, all your friendships are fake except ours."

Hwiyoung tightly holds the glass in his hand. Chani's right, but it hurts.

"quit being a coward, okay? just see where your feelings take you!"

sat in your lecture hall, you scramble to copy Taeyang's notes. he watches over you, shaking his head.

"i can't believe you went to a party again this saturday and didn't get to do your work. firstly, you went without me, secondly, how do you keep going every single saturday?" he asks.

you tell him to shut up so you can finish writing, until a tall body approaches you, towering over you. when you look up, you meet eyes with Hwiyoung, who has a nervous expression on his face.

"hi, y/n. is the spot next to you taken?" he asks.

"yeah it--" Taeyang starts, but you cut him off.

"no! you can sit, if you'd like," you say.

Hwiyoung thanks you in a low voice and takes a seat, pulling out his stuff to start studying.

"wow, Hwiyoung is actually prepared for class? Shocking." Taeyang remarks.

"actually y/n has been tutoring--" Hwiyoung starts. you quickly cover his mouth with your hand.

"Hwiyoung's just changed, i guess!" you say, panicked.

Taeyang throws you a weird look, but doesn't question things any further. you move your hand away and mumble an apology to Hwiyoung, who just smirks at you.

once class starts, the three of you are silent as you focus on the lecture. Hwiyoung doesn't make a ruckus anymore, and you feel proud to see he's actually started to change after you began tutoring him.

"hey... wanna go to a place you like to grab some food?" Hwiyoung asks you once the lecture ends.

you don't know why he's suddenly attempting to befriend you, but you can't say no to him, either. Taeyang has to rush off to his next class, and you tell him you'll fill him in on things later. he throws you a wink before he leaves, and you yell at him to stop being so annoying.

"have fun getting laid," he whispers in your ear before running off.

Hwiyoung watches your interaction with Taeyang while smiling wildly. so this is how you treat your loved ones? this is how you joke around with your friends? why is his heart fluttering ?!

"let's go! i know a good off-campus place that's nearby," you declare.

you don't realize it, but a lot of people are watching you and Hwiyoung. some of them even try to take stealthy photos, too. Hwiyoung is used to this, but he doesn't want you to get hurt by the rumours that they'll probably be spreading.

he takes off his leather jacket and throws it on your head.

when you question him for that, he just says, "keep it on, princess. a lot of people are watching, and i don't want you to get hurt by any rumours they could spread about you."

you wear it like one of those runaways in a historical kdrama, who wears a robe over their head to hide themselves.

"should we just run?" you ask Hwiyoung, looking up at him.

he smiles slightly and nods. you don't even think about it when you reach for his hand and start to run, pulling him along with you. everyone on campus wonders who the daring person is that is pulling Hwiyoung along with intertwined fingers, and why and how you're making him smile so hard.

neither of you notice the stares anymore, though. even Hwiyoung is entirely fixated on you and the way you breathlessly laugh as you try to run to the place you were headed.

once you finally make it there and pull open the door, the two of you shake yourselves off and walk inside, still laughing. Hwiyoung then takes in the place you brought him too, trying to remember every detail.

the two of you talk over food as if you're normal friends, not strangers who would meet once a week to do each other favours. Hwiyoung asks you a lot of questions and the conversation never runs dry. he nods and listens carefully each time you answer, and you can imagine him jotting down your answers--that's how earnestly he listens to you.

you start to see him in a new light. not as the popular jerk of your campus anymore,, but as someone you maybe actually care for? and want to spend time with? yet you can't help but worry about if he even feels the same way at all.

by the time the two of you leave, it's dark outside. Hwiyoung offers to walk you home, but you say it's all good.

"call me when you get home at least, okay?" he asks as you walk further away.

you nod, but then wonder why he asked you to call and not text. still, you end up calling him, and your phone call with him lasts way past midnight.

he listens to you fall asleep, your answers turning into hums until all he hears are your soft breaths.

"sleep well, y/n," he says before hanging up.

Hwiyoung spends more time with you from that day on, and Taeyang is very suspicious. he notes the way Hwiyoung looks at you with genuine care and adoration, not the empty lust he'd usually look at people with.

"y/n... i think Hwiyoung likes you," Taeyang tells you one day in the library.

"what?!" you exclaim, almost dropping your bag that you had just picked up.

"he looks at you... in a certain way... like he loves you."

you shake your head at Taeyang, but secretly wonder if his words could hold any truth to them.

"hey, y/n! and Taeyang!" Hwiyoung greets you both.

Taeyang raises an eyebrow at you, probably trying to point out how Hwiyoung said your name first.

"ready to go?" Hwiyoung asks, and you both nod.

he had texted you saying he wants to take you both somewhere and that it's a surprise. you feel suspicious about all this, but you find it hard to say no to Hwiyoung.

you walk in between the two boys, listening to Taeyang's complaints about a professor for one of your classes. Hwiyoung slips his hand into yours, taking your hand with his into his pocket. when you look up at him, he simply smiles while looking at the ground.

butterflies rage within you and you furrow your eyebrows together, trying to get it to stop.

"everything okay, y/n?" Taeyang asks.

"y-yeah," you stutter in response.

Taeyang continues talking, Hwiyoung continues stealing glances at you while he holds your hand, and you continue trying to get the heart fluttering feeling in your stomach to stop.

"where are you taking us, Hwiyoung?" Taeyang asks.

Hwiyoung smirks, then says, "don't kill me, but i'm taking you to a party. a lot of my old friends are there, and honestly i'm just a bit sick of them. i'd rather hang around with you two..."

"well then you could've ditched the party and we couldv'e went elsewhere?" Taeyang points out.

Hwiyoung shakes his head and says, "no, they'll kill me if i don't show up. you'll do me this one favour, right?"

Hwiyoung starts rubbing the back of your hand with his thumb, and you feel electricity all over your arm. your breath hitches in your throat and you can't think clearly.

"well... if y/n's okay with it," Taeyang says.

Hwiyoung looks at you with an expression that you can't resist... and that's how you end up at a loud house party. it's not a place you'd usually be at.

Taeyang gets drunk just 20 minutes in and joins the people who are dancing in the livingroom, leaving you and Hwiyoung to yourselves. Hwiyoung keeps you close, your arms looped. you, on the other hand, keep a close eye on Taeyang.

"are you worried about him?" Hwiyoung asks, concern on his face.

you nod, and Hwiyoung calls over one of his friends.

"Chani! can you do me a favour? can you keep an eye on that boy right there?"

Hwiyoung's friend, Chani, rolls his eyes but walks over to the livingroom, taking over the dj booth and watching over Taeyang.

"is that okay?" Hwiyoung asks.

you nod, but still feel slightly uneasy.

"are you okay?" Hwiyoung asks, pulling you closer.

you don't know how to respond. you're not sure if it's because you're pressed this close to Hwiyoung that you feel so warm or because it's so packed in this house.

Hwiyoung's lips curl into a tight smile.

"i'll just say hi to a few more people and then we can leave, okay? they'll be too drunk to even notice we're gone," Hwiyoung says.

you pout at him but still follow his lead as he introduces you to people that you doubt you'll ever remember later. his introductions lead you to a bedroom where a few people are talking.

"your s/o?" someone asks Hwiyoung, looking at you.

he smiles in response but doesn't say anything. it makes you feel uneasy.

"well, we're off for some more drinks. you can have this room to yourselves," Hwiyoung's friend says before the group of people leave.

you and Hwiyoung are left alone in that room, all to yourselves.

"well... we should leave, now," Hwiyoung says, moving towards the door.

yet something within you makes you stop him. you reach out to pull on his sleeve.

"Hwiyoung... i need to make something clear," you say, "what are we? what's going on with us? we stopped meeting on weekends to... do whatever we were doing before and now we're acting like friends... but suddenly you take hold of my hand like it's nothing?"

you feel relieved getting all of this off your chest. it's all been like an itch, bothering you in the most lowkey of ways but eventually making you lose your cool.

"we.. can be whatever you want us to be, princess," Hwiyoung says in a low voice, taking your hand in his.

"but what do you want us to be?"

"i don't know. i'm not fond of labels and i don't really get them, but i just want to be close to you, princess. i want to listen to you, be here for you and have you at my side at all times."

you blink at him as he speaks, and he smiles.

"i want this, too," he says before he suddenly presses his lips to yours.

as if you've been yearning for this, your instincts immediately take over. your mouth knows to follow his lead, your hands know to gently pull on and stroke Hwiyoung's hair, and you still feel just as many butterflies as you always have.

you pull away for a second to catch your breath, and you meet Hwiyoung's eyes. like Taeyang told you, there's something different about them. they sparkle and you can see yourself inside them.

you're about to lean in again, but Hwiyoung gently stops you.

"i'm scared i'll take things too far, so let's stop here, princess" he almost whispers, pressing a kiss to your forehead before guiding you out of the room.

you feel dazed as he guides you out, calling a drunk Taeyang over and helping him walk as the three of you head back to campus to part ways. all you can think about is how you know exactly what you and Hwiyoung are, but at the same time, you know nothing at all.

with Taeyang safely home, Hwiyoung walks you home, and it's then that you muster up the courage again to clarify things once more.

"Hwiyoung... do you... like me?" you ask.

he takes a hand out of the pocket of his jeans and uses it to grab hold of one of yours.

"i guess so," he says.

his lack of confidence makes you uneasy, yet again.

"does this mean we're lovers?" you ask.

"do you want us to be?" Hwiyoung asks back, looking at you.

you nod, yes, and he smiles, patting your head.

"then we're lovers, 'til death do us part," Hwiyoung says, dramatically.

both of your laughs fill up the night and Hwiyoung swings his arm in yours, pulling you closer.

well, this isn't the happy ending you'd imagined. your first 'relationship' isn't even a proper relationship at all, but you've still got someone to love and be loved by, right?

every time the both of you sparr, she really likes how you're very elegant,

she likes hearing you speak because it's very calming, but she gets caught off gaurd when you don't speak aristocrat.

the first time you both met, was when she caught you dancing near the pond, she thought you looked graceful.

she already knows what you mean by vengeance, but she's aware that not a lot of people don't

so she tries to shyly explain people that's not what you meant

she also gets you about the whole family problems

you guys don't bond over it but the both of you can understand each other so the both of you are very comfortable with each other's presence

though, you told her that if you ever meet her 'parents' then you will vengeance on them(as a joke bc it would ruin the reputation of the corps)

Season 3 Episode 6 Thoughts

WOW this episode was as Ricky put it “heart wrenching”

Like I know he’s been feeling it all season but I’ve been so well fed with the content. This episode I genuinely felt what Ricky felt. That was hard

But before we get too into rina I’ll make some other notes first

Ashlyn feeling the fireworks and pw not??? Oh sorry pw you’re bones but that was so sweet for Ashlyn

I have really enjoyed watching her discover herself and her sexuality this season. I remember season one thinking she was not super straight and so it’s cool really seeing her find her full identity this season (something she stated she had a hard time with). Which is an interesting insight to who she is at EH because she always has loads of clubs she’s in and stuff right? It’s like she could never settle on being one thing because maybe she actually didn’t totally know herself but now she does.

I also appreciate the Maddox and Jet storyline. I was team blue but very happy yellow won. It seemed like a really sweet victory for them and it was nice watching Jet try to restore that relationship

I kind of expected that storyline to resolve this episode so it was interesting seeing that Maddox still doesn’t feel totally resolved. I wonder what else will happen

It was SO healing for my childhood to see Corbin perform again. I am actually sad he didn’t do the wildcats cheer too. It was a nice rina moment that came from it but I’m like 🥺

I also appreciate the implications of Corbin reliving his Disney games days. And then mixing dancing and basketball together after Chad made such a big deal about dance and baseball/basketball not mixing. Just loads of nostalgia 🥲

Carlos kept mentioning something about wanting a dressing room?? And they showed miss Jenn giving a little face that seemed like she was up to something with that? I wonder what that was about? What if she made him his own little dressing room before the rehearsal? 😭 she showed ashlyn how important her part is and she might do the same for Carlos 😭😭 oh that’s cute

Also miss Jenn finding the licorice at some random store was a shout out to the “big summer blowout” in frozen. I love 🥰

Ngl I was a teeny bit disappointed with that scene in the cabin. I thought that we would get the flashback or even a little more around why Ricky was so upset but jet made things about him then Ricky had an idea and the scene was over. I just feel like the dialogue got cut really short and there could have been even a couple more sentences to make the scene feel a little more whole. I would have LOVED the flashback here too but we can’t always win

I will say though, I’ve had this theory that the characters that the kids are playing not on stage is Ricky being Kristoff and jet being Sven and this scene amplified that. Remember how annoyed in frozen Kristoff got at Sven when he tried to make Kristoff go back to Anna or keep going through the woods with her? Kristoff got snappy. Me thinks Mr Bowen is portraying that same quality

I loved watching Ricky cheer Gina on in all the events 🥹 you can even hear him in the scene where she is rock climbing. It’s just such supportive boyfriend material unlike SOMEONE 🫥👀

Also did you notice when Ej was telling gina all the reasons he needed the show to go perfect she was the LAST reason? It was like he was explaining all of his anxieties and stress and then it was like “oh yeah and you too so I don’t have to stress over that either”. It was just.. yikes

(I still really would love a Kourtney and Ej scene where they talk to each other about the anxieties they’ve been facing)

I would love to see some sort of parallel where Gina feels or hears the words or something about the fireworks when she’s with Ricky. It’s interesting how miss Jenn pointed that out and we clearly saw them with Ashlyn and we also clearly saw how pw waited and waited for them to show. It was very in your face that they wanted these fireworks to happen so badly and they were never going to come. Instead of showing pw watching the fireworks to show they came we just got Ricky crying to the rina cue. I think having some sort of parallel to the fireworks with rina is going to be our way of knowing rina are finally on the same page. Ricky knows his feelings and whatever feelings gina has swallowed or push to the side have resurfaced and she acknowledges them too. Their love will feel like fireworks 🎆

ALSO (someone on Twitter pointed this out can’t remember who so if you know pls comment so they get credit) the scene where ricky takes Ej to gina parallels the scene heavily where Kristoff takes gina to hans. It’s not what he wants but it’s putting the other person first which shows you love someone. (Which I pointed out was a direct quote from frozen)

And sorry not sorry I’m gonna say it: I don’t think Ricky is just crushing on Gina or just likes her. He even made this a point “on accident” last episode. Ricky is IN LOVE with Gina. His feelings are so much deeper than he or others may be willing to admit

Some episode ideas!!! (And some of them are totally not taken from my assassins oneshots ideas 👀)

Episodes are in no particular order and some are split up into two different storylines.

1.1) The Curator gives them all phones (with limits). The younger assassins teach the older assassins how to use electronic devices. They go into deep dives about themselves and how the world sees themselves. Someone does a TikTok dance. Idk who does, but someone does.

2.1) Ralph and Linda had a bet with each other. Ralph can go 24 hours without mentioning zombies and horror movies and Linda goes through the day Hinckley-free.

2.2) Mira and Billy get into another argument but they end up finding out they had more in common than they thought.

3) Oliver starts prankin people and they’re all blaming each other and not the youngest one. Though… someone does suspect him, but they’re always turned down (idk who suspects but someone is)

4.1) Cooper teaches Oliver some clown tricks. Crap happens and in the end one of them ends up with a leg in a cast.

4.2) Linda’s suspecting Fai and Harvey are dating, and tries to get something out of them. In the end, they’re not going out at all. (Lin, I’m not 100% sure if she would do this. Pls let me know hehe)

5) Ralph wakes up to find Mira crying to herself at the pond. Hurt/comfort type beat. This one could go into Mira’s backstory. She needs someone to talk to and that’s Ralph <3

6) The assassins all go out camping and instead of telling horror stories around the campfire, they talk about how their lives would have been if they didn’t kill/try to kill the president.

7.1) Fai and Harvey starts parenting the younger assassins (age wise)… however, some of their parenting ways may conflict…

7.2) Curator lore. Don’t really know what I mean by that but something to do with the Curator.

8.1) Cooper and Billy sneak Kokichi into the farmhouse to Cooper’s room. But when the two are out getting food for her, she escapes and causes mayhem.

8.2) Marina rethinks her stances on religion and has a conversation about it with Oliver in the church. (Until a chicken runs in, interrupting them)

9.1) The Christmas special. Everyone learns about the value of Christmas at the end. Whether it be the religious value (which would basically be no one there lmao), the commercialized value (Christmas is used as a tool by big corporations), the childhood value (for the peeps who ain’t got one of those), and the loving family value (all of that mushy gushy stuff). Someone hung some mistletoe too. But who did it?

9.2) They do Secret Santa! Let me know who y’all think who gets whose name.

10) The ones who lost a loved ones talk about coping from their losses. It continues with self-reflection and a road to recovery. They start the episode with a conversation with each other and it ends with the same concept except it’s more about acceptance.

Hey, fun suggestion. No ones’ loved ones come back. :)

Let them suffer and go through their pains without bringing them back. Have them recover. Bringing back their wives for a day might just restart the recovery process.

1. ALL Bridgertons included in Pall Mall. Daphne confirmed, and Simone said she was there with ‘all of the cast.’ Jonny said something like “All of the Bridgertons.” If this means Greg and Hyacinth content, then I’m all over it.

2. Newton gets an arc!!! Pls let it be known that, in terms of things I am excited about, priority goes Kathony kiss, mr finch cheese content, then Newton arc. Fight me!!! 

3. Kate is “outside the ton and deliberately put herself in there.” EW author also called her a ‘spinster,’ which should be taken with a grain of salt would def explain her non-dance card laden wrists. I am very excited about this prospect, an improvement from canon for me.

4. The sharmas grew up in India (No comment).

5. Queen uses Edwina AS A PAWN to unmask whistledown??? Will she tell Edwina to cause more drama/advise her poorly on situations to lure LW into spotlight so Charlotte can nail to her to a time/place/person?? Eloise wants to find LW too but is protective over her. Will Edwina and Eloise be rivals in that? Will they team up and be friends like in the book? Will they and Pen have a little nerd girl squad??? This crum can only lead to great shit imo.

6. Jonny’s comment about Anthony being most “honest, fatigued and exhausted” in quiet moments in his study and in women’s beds. I wanna see him fuck someone else and then be emo about it, hope this confirms this.

7. KATE IS IN TOUCH WITH HER DESIRES !!! She’s been to a farm for sure lol, has maybe gotten herself off and potential for raunchy dreams from her AND him. They should splice the dreams together in editing, just for me to enjoy.

8. Colin is a biscuit king. Love the physical comedy and cartoonish aspect when it’s put in the show. Sibling stuff and fun moments were best part of S1. Lets hope we get a lot of this.

9. Daphne is considered ‘the rock’ of the siblings now, ‘the adult’ and someone to guide Anthony on his journey to love lol, but also she ‘lets her hair down’ at Aubrey hall and is v competitive at Pall Mall. This was the only thing they could really do with her, so I just hope the shift seems natural for her character. 

10. Simone said that Kathony “TEACH EACH OTHER HOW TO LOVE, TO LET LOVE IN, GIVE LOVE, AND ACCEPT THE SCARY PARTS” this. THIS. is why I don’t think they’ll fuck up the romance or even that much of the backstory (or at least Anthony’s :/)

11. Polin wrote while he was away?? Cute. 

12. Kate and Anthony are ‘anti-gossipers’ in Simone’s words. Makes sense for Anthony, and for both after marriage, but Kate not being into whistledown is a deviation from the book. Not mad at it, not a big deal to me either?

13. Edwina is ‘optimistic to a fault’ and looking for a LOVE match. But has a ‘wild streak’. She wants to be sensible but her true nature is to be starry-eyed idealist. it also said “She lets others speak for her bc she can’t express herself.” While i personally hope she makes out with some girls and also think she will have a classism subplot thing along with queen stuff, we know she will get a happy ending. we just don’t know what it is. What we do know is that ppl will hurt her/take advantage of her along the way, and she will hurt in return. 

14. They still won’t admit Jack is the featherington heir. Which fine, I guess but I see no other way. Maybe he’s a solicitor. But he’s involved with the featheringtons for sure and idk i want him to fuck portia there i said it.

15. Pen has money she could use to help her family but doesn’t. That deviated from canon a bit but it’s interesting for sure. I think we’ll see her make as poor of decisions as last season but also show remorse. Her arc is a little too big to nail down.

16. Colin’s “not focused on romance” but “other pursuits and ventures” that dont end in heartbreak. So what you’re saying is that he’s a whore. Good. Maybe he’ll gain his interest in writing. 

17. Kate’s “outside the rules” but also has “a lot to work out” this alludes to her backstory, i think. And it’s confirmed her and Ed are half sisters so we have that too.

18. The video said EW released like an hour or two ago said shit about fooling around “in the library. you never know who could be in the stacks.” Who. WHO. WHOO.
