Going through Adar's speech in "Udûn" and I think we were robbed of an Adar motivational speech ™️ in season 2. And maybe that was what his children would have needed, too? I believe there are several factors why they turned on him in the end (obviously the main one being controlled by Sauron), but the hints were there already in the beginning of the season and you could feel how Adar's relation to the Uruks changed (just a guy trying to figure out how to be the Lord of Mordor). Now, a cool speech could have motivated them better in my opinion.

Look how excited they were, shouting promises of death. Good times.

But the thing also is, in this speech he tells them "one more trial awaits us" - so when he later wants to leave their new home to fight Sauron again it's no wonder some of them are hesitant. The line (and the delivery of it) "Must we go to war again?" says it all. There is desperation in his voice here. We are tired of this war thing, Lord Father.

I'm a hobbit at heart, so I get it.

This guy needed a motivational speech, not being told there's some things he is better off not knowing. The doubt in his father started right here 😭

(I could do an entire post about Glûg's fall but I'll save that for another gloomy day.)

I do wonder if he could have told Glûg something else here that would have made him understand Adar's actions better. I'm just assuming Glûg wasn't around when he killed Sauron, so maybe he doesn't truly understand just how screwed they'd all be. Again, motivational speech could have fixed that.

Alternate au I thought up while thinking of that Hannah Montana au

Where after Bruce left the league and refused Ra’s offer of being the demons heir, Ra’s just decided he will have Bruce anyway and made a clone of Bruce. That clone was then raised up from a child.

Another Danny is Bruce’s clone au!!!!

But when Damian was created Ra’s kinda lost interest in Danny. But Danny was still there as a backup. But some of Bruce’s morals kinda just implanted themselves into Danny and he started to question things.

Danny finds out he is a clone of Bruce and kinda freaked out as well as giving him an identity crisis. So Danny just runs away.

And if you want to connect the to the Hannah Montana au it would be wild!
