March Fic Rec
Guys it's still Sunday! Anyway, March is here witch mean spring is here! As much as I love the winter I also love watching the twas and flowers bloom. That everyone has a great month!
between the click of the light and the start of the dream by thepsychicclam - (Rating: Explicit, Words: 105192, sterek)
A twig snaps, and then Stiles hears breathing and the rustle of leaves. He strains to get a better glimpse into the darkness, but it’s pointless. There’s nothing but a black void.
It's Stiles' senior year, and he's trying to concentrate on normal things - like the lacrosse championship, spring break, prom, graduation (and definitely not Derek) - when he starts having nightmares and waking up in the middle of nowhere. Oh yeah, and he's being haunted by a hag. Great.
This Might Be Irony by thepsychicclam - (Rating: Mature, Words: 38340, sterek)
Stiles and Derek have been close friends since the Hale siblings moved in next door after their parents' death. But Derek's in the popular group, he's a star baseball player, and he dates popular Pep Squad captain Jennifer Blake. Stiles doesn't have any of that, just his skateboard and a hopeless crush on Derek (oh yeah, and his Vote Lydia Martin Prom Queen button). As prom and the baseball state championship grow closer, Stiles and Derek start rekindling their friendship.
And it all begins with two white boards.
Didn't See That Coming by knittersrevolt - (Rating: Explicit, Words: 83838, sterek)
Stiles leaves Beacon Hills in the dust after he catches his husband cheating on him.
He finds his way to New York where he starts working for the Hale House Nursery, accidentally adopts a werewolf baby (through no fault of his own thank-you-very-much), and somehow starts training to be an Exorcist Emissary. So, in general, life was going good.
Then he hears that demons have found their way into his hometown. Can he face his inner demons and go back to save the day?
Wolves with a Spark by AMatchInWater - (Rating: Explicit, Words: 58089, sterek)
Talia lets out a shocked gasp, "your eyes. They're purple." The Alpha is practically oozing with excitement. Stiles hisses, as the fingers touching the Nemeton start to sting as markings etch themselves into his knuckles and a small one on his wrist that looks like a Y but the stem goes up between the v part. "What the-?" Stiles yells out in pain, yanking his hand off the bark, the back of his left forearm feeling like it's been set on fire. A white fox with vibrant blue eyes burns into his flesh. "Mom?" He asks again, she died when he was young, but the Omega remembers what she looked like fully shifted. The spitting image of the tattoo forming on his skin. "What's happening?" Frantic eyes meet Talia's and Derek's. "You're a spark." Talia whispers in wonder. "You have magic, Stiles."
OR
Stiles moves in with the Hales after his father passes away. Presenting as an Omega and then a spark years later. He's hopelessly head over heels for Derek and wants to be his mate, but it almost certain the Alpha doesn't feel the same way about him so he says nothing and pines from a distance. Talia asks if Stiles would like to train to be an emissary to the Hale pack and Stiles agrees.
Accidental Amnesiac Mates Acquisition (ft. a baby) by redhoodedwolf - (Rating: T, Words: 24549, sterek)
“Who are you?”
He snapped his head around and clutched the child tighter to his chest. But then his senses caught up with him: Pack, mate, family, safe, calm, anxiety, panic, panic, panic
“I don’t know,” he admitted. “Who are you?”
The man with the warm brown eyes gaped at him in surprise. “Um. I don’t know.”
The baby in his arms promptly burst into tears.

What it says on the tin.
Bleeding Love by BisexualInDisguise - (Rating: T, Words: 6919, sterek)
Stiles promised himself that the werewolves didn't smell the depression and desperation wafting off of him because they were simply distracted, not because they couldn't care less. He told himself that he's just good at hiding it.
Stiles was trying so damn hard.
But he's broken so many promises to himself.

Scott's a bad friend and Derek's a fluff ball
I found you hidden in plain sight (why'd I take so long?) by Gorgeousgreymatter - (Rating: Explicit, Words: 25419, sterek)
Stiles is pretty sure he’s hallucinating. He’s got to be. There’s no other plausible explanation, he thinks, as he sits on the sidelines of the lacrosse field and feels the cold, hard bench underneath him, the roar of the crowd at his back like the worst white noise machine in the world.
There’s no other reason why he sees it, the hulking, black figure of a wolf peering at him from the treeline behind the bleachers. Its eyes flare in the glaring glow of the stadium lights, but they’re the wrong color, he thinks: blood-moon red instead of cobalt blue, but the familiarity of it all makes his stomach roll and clench.
Til We Ain't Strangers Anymore byWriteByNight - (Rating: Explicit, Words: 35994, sterek)
Stiles should've expected Derek to suddenly disappear since the werewolf was in the habit of taking off without notice. However, Derek always showed up when they needed him.
As the weeks pass by, Stiles is no longer confused and a little hurt. What started as heartache begins to get worse the longer Stiles goes without seeing Derek. Eventually, his body begins to shut down and his only hope seems to be Derek...but nobody can find him.
There's no cure for a broken heart. Except, maybe, the cause for the broken heart himself.
- - -
Or the one where Derek takes off without warning and Stiles finds out he could be Derek's mate and the distance between Derek and Stiles, along with Derek's refusal to develop the bond, is slowly killing Stiles. Without Derek, Stiles will die, but no one knows where he is or how to contact him. And Stiles is barely keeping it together.
Synonyms for Longing by wanderingeyre - (Rating: T, Words: 11386, sterek)
Derek has been at his house for less than two days and Stiles is deeply regretting his decision to offer Derek a place to stay. Well, it was more like he didn’t try to throw Derek back out the window when he creeped in two nights ago, but he would have made a valiant effort if he’d known what a pain in the ass Derek would be.
Suddenly you're standing still by gottalovev - (Rating: Explicit, Words: 7669, sterek)
A long time ago, Stiles promised his mom that he'd never cross the Hale property lines. He has kept his word even if there hasn't been a Hale in Beacon Hills for years, not since the fire. But suddenly Scott gets turned into a werewolf, Derek Hale is back, and Stiles has to share his biggest secret. (AU set in S1+ where Stiles is a born werefox)

Please note that this AU is a secondary creation based on the original game creator Toby Fox's work UnderTale, and that I own the copyright to KinesisTale.
1. Setting up KinesisTale’s worldview
The experiment was being conducted in a gray space with no one around, but the content of the experiment was all about creating new life, and tests were conducted according to the number of the experiment, starting from A (alpha) to Ω (omega). 24 experiments and After the experiment, they succeeded in creating a new life form. The life form did not have a soul, but instead, its body was made of matter and magic, and its entire body was filled with strong determination (will). The life form that created this new life is UnderTale. The power made up of all the monsters and human data was given the name "Kinesis". Finally, after receiving that name, "Kinesis" spent his time doing various activities in this gray space Creation Void, but as he lived in that space, he became more and more He became bored and exhausted, and was tired of living in an infinite empty space where there was nothing but gray. He escaped this boring space towards a wider world and headed to a new place through dimensional movement. However, what he saw after escaping from the boring space was "Neutral Multidimensional". There was a strong distortion in that dimension, causing confusion about the "Neutral Multidimensional", and this dimension was not just a dimension, but a mysterious place that properly influenced the natural flow of other parallel universes, but recently it has been controlling the AU. It is unstable due to the influence of the beings of Out!Code that influence it. In order to prevent this, I decided to become a neutral of AU and do everything I can to prevent the natural flow of AU from becoming unstable anymore.
2. Personality of Kinesis!Sans
He is blunt and neutral, and respects the actions, actions, and thoughts of all creatures in the world, and does not care about any means or methods to prevent beings that pose a threat to the multiverse. Except for his own purposes and personal hobbies, he does not care about others or has any interest in others. He shows no interest and will even use and abandon his comrades when necessary. He is especially merciless towards those who go against the flow of nature, and has the most cruel personality, so he will do anything, whether it be mercilessly slaughtering them or chasing them away.
3. Appearance of Kinesis!Sans
Unlike other Sans, Kinesis!Sans is very tall. He stands at a whopping 190cm tall. He wears a school uniform and wears a Mengers sponge cube on his waist. The purple hand on his right hand is a defective hand, and as a result, his right eye is purple. The thread is always engraved, and there are scars on the left side from experiments. More details can be found in the character sheet below.
4. Abilities
His main ability is Telekinesis, or telekinesis, and some of them are related to 2D to 7D shapes. However, he combined the data of all monsters in UnderTale with the data of humans, and in addition, during his birth experiment, he created a brother who looked exactly like him. He can kill them all, use all supernatural powers and magic, and even collects the entire data of only one timeline among the numerous timelines in each AU to properly flow the natural flow of the multiverse and adds it to his data. Various AU powers can also be used, but due to the endless addition of data, HP, ATF, and DEF have exceeded the measurement range, so it is meaningless to look at them.
5. What is Neutral Multidimensional?
The Neutral Multidimensional is where he currently lives and serves as the natural flow of the AU. Also, if the natural flow is not correct, at least some of the AU's timelines will suffer great damage due to sudden and permanent changes, and if serious, It will only remain as an irreversible, unnatural AT, and if that happens, the balance of the AU will easily collapse, which may have the worst impact on the multiverse, and that's why Kinesis!Sans is trying to prevent it.
6. Trivia
He is absolutely superior in intelligence and his IQ is at least that of a supercomputer or higher. In addition, when outputting dialogue textures, he is 4 times faster than others, which shows that he has a fast head. He is in the 190s and his body resembles 90% of EchoTale's Sans. The remaining 10% of the face and hands reveal a form that reveals Sans. His view of the world is through systems, characters, and geometry. He always has a Void cube, and his appearance is Menger Sponge. This cube's ability is a convenient tool for him to unfold his own infinite space and develop an area that cannot be escaped. Perhaps because he also has the ability to see the past, present and future, he can know for himself what happened in the future or the past and how he came to the current situation. In order to reach the realm of a perfect being, that is, a true god, he collects data endlessly, because he believes that only by doing this can he maintain the flow of nature perfectly. He hates glitches or errors, and the purple hand is one of the reasons… But one day, he will have to work hard to become a being who doesn't have a problem with even having those glitches. Each of his data has a firewall, and the firewalls have come together to form a powerful firewall, so it's not easy to break through that wall. That doesn't mean it can't be broken through at all, but by human standards, you have to hack all night to break it. His favorite puzzle game is Sudoku and his favorite cube-matching board game is chess. His favorite foods are pizza and chocolate, and he often runs a pizza shop. The problem is that he operates illegally, so he is often chased by the police. He usually operates next to the store without a permit… He believed that in order for the natural flow of the multiverse to proceed correctly, he needed to know all AUs, so he has an AU dictionary book made with his own data, and the book is endless. The volume is the same, but there are many pages. It's strange… Since data collection became his hobby, he has become more and more avoiding glitches and errors because he doesn't like the data he collects getting corrupted, which is a huge headache for Kinesis.
If you have any other questions about Kinesis!Sans, please leave a question.

The Fox and The Hounds pt.1
A/N: Hello all, so this is my first time writing for anything from Acotar that I have gotten to a point that I feel confident enough to post It has been almost two years since I have really written anything so I might be a wee bit rusty, but I had the cute autumn court head cannon that I needed to get out of my head. Also no Beta here we die like men
Eris Vanserra x Reader
Summary: Its autumn court tradition to give your mate a fox kit before your ceremony. after years of knowing the Vanserra’s a mating bond snaps between the Autumn Heir and a well known smoke hound breeder
Warnings: none
Wind gently rustles the leaves of the forest surrounding the humble home in the forest, somewhere distantly a river babbles deep in the misty woods. By humble home it truly translates to manor nestled deep in the Forest. The sound of dogs barking breaks the peaceful silence around the home most days, and on occasion one could catch a glimpse of the sleek gray hounds darting throughout the property.
The L/N family were a well respected family within the Autumn Court. Thorne L/N had made his name in court as an advisor and counselor to Beorn in conjunction with the lucrative businesses he ran on the side. However what the family was most well known for was their smoke hounds. The most well-bred and coveted hounds came from the L/N estate. Of his four children the only one who took interest in the dogs was his youngest Y/N. With seven hounds of her own Y/N was clever when it came to which ones should be bred together and what new bloodlines to bring in. Y/N quickly became one of the go to breeders in Autumn with pups from her stock being highly sought after. While not the most traditional route for a lady of the court, Thorne allowed Y/N to keep up with it as it brought her joy and it kept her home under her mothers watchful eye.
A small yip can be heard as a red fox darts around Y/N’s ankles as she moves through the kitchen. Coming in from the kennels Y/N moves sluggishly; putting on the kettle and grabbing a cup to make tea. The fox yips again; this time nipping at her heel. The action however seems to not have the desired effect; nonetheless Y/N moved about the kitchen to fetch the spoiled fox’s breakfast. Seeing the female grab the bowl the fox moved standing on its hind paws resting its front paws on the cabinet to watch the female prep its breakfast again loudly yiping when she wasn’t moving at a fast enough pace for the little creature.
“Ginger.” Y/N hushes the fox and sets a bowl of food down on the ground. Ginger had been a mating present from her father to her mother when the mating bond had snapped. It is an old Autumn Court tradition for a Female to receive a fox kit from her mate or fiance before the ceremony. The foxes were seen as a token of good luck and served as a constant companion for a female in her home. The room is silent save for the soft click of her boots as she moves about the floor and the fox scarfing down food. She hadn’t planned on leaving the manor today so she found it fit to wear trousers paired with a cream blouse and a forest green vest with golden leaves embroidered into the fabric. The kettle lets out a screeching whittle from thee stove breaking the early morning quiet
The female let out a yawn as she poured the boiling water into the delicate cup. The unexpected all-nighter was really starting to take its toll on her. One of the servants had roused her in the middle of the night. Bellatrix, her prized hound, had gone into labor. While this wasn’t her first litter it still took quite a bit of time and Y/N preferred to be there for her hounds just in case things went sour. Luckily for all parties involved things went smoothly and all 6 of the pups were healthy.
Looking out the window the dark sky began to take on hues of purple and orange as the sun started to rise across the colorful Autumn forest. The birds slowly started to awaken their song, joining the rest of the white noise of the forest. Y/n takes a hold of the delicate teacup, wrapping both of her hands around it savoring the warmth against her chilled fingers. Steam rose up from the cup dancing in ambiguous patterns as she took the first sip of the hot tea.
Y/N let out a sigh she knew she would have to go back out to the kennels soon to start feeding the hounds. She could only hope that she would be able to take a small nap before her fathers visitors made their way to the estate. He might have mentioned who was coming, but if she was being perfectly honest with herself she hadn’t been paying attention. Knowing her father it was probably another advisor coming in for brunch before they would go out hunting with the hounds. Leaning against the counter, taking a sip of her tea, her sensitive Fea ears pick up on the inhabitants of the manor slowly waking up to start the day.
The cook was the first person she had seen since she had been fetched last night and the older wood nymph jumped a little seeing the younger Fae leaning on the counter drinking a cup of tea. Upon seeing the new arrival Ginger started yiping again, going to wind around the Nymph’s feet.
“Lady Y/n I wasn’t expecting to see you here this early in the morning.” The nymphs comforting voice brings a small smile to Y/N’s face
“Bella her pups in the early hours, I was tending to her most of the night.” Y/N yawns out, gently setting the cup into the sink in the kitchen “I probably should get back out to the kennels to tend to the rest of the dogs before breakfast.”
“Just make sure you are done and cleaned up before the High Lord and his family arrives.” Her voice is calm despite the news that she dropped on the poor girl's lap.
The High Lord and his family, that's who her fathers guest were. She knew that Beron and her father were close friends since childhood, but this was the first time in her 65 years that they would be hosting the High Lord of Autumn at their home. Typically in the past her family had always traveled to the Forest House for formal events and her father traveled back and forth for his work. The thought sent chills up her back while the High lord and his family had been cordial and friendly with hers; they still had a rather terrifying reputation, and some of his younger sons often looked at her like she was a piece of meat. She would dance and converse with them at gatherings when approached but she clung to her father and brothers side the moment she could get away.
“I forgot that High Lord Beron and his family were coming. Thank you for the reminder Aspen.” Y/n nods before heading towards the door to head back towards the kennels. This news ment she would have to rush getting the kennels ready for the day so that she could go get dressed for a meal with the high lord. Typically she helped the servants with the task regarding her and her family's hounds, she wanted to ensure that they were receiving the best care that they could. The hounds from this estate were prized for a reason. She had known that one of her hounds pups had been purchased by Lord Eris but she had been away from the court at that time with her mother visiting her mothers kin in the Hewn city.
Eris was about the only one of Beron’s four sons that she could stand. In all her interactions with him he had been kind to her, chasing away his younger brothers when they were making her visibly uncomfortable. It also helped that the two of them both had a passion for the famed smoke hounds, so the conversation between the two had never been too dull. When the High Lord had announced Eris’ engagement to Morrigan; Y/n felt like someone had ripped her heart from her chest. It confused the poor girl, only 40 at the time, as to why she had felt like this. The two had never had anything more than friendly conversations at the balls and formal dinners that they had both attended. The pain in her chest had dulled when news had spread through the court about the disastrous outcome of that short lived engagement. There were unfortunate outcomes for her when the rumors spread about why Kier had nearly killed his own daughter. Most of these days Y/N could barely leave the manor without one of her parents or brothers escorting her; and even at formal events she was always under someone's watchful eye, just in case she might have gotten the urge to sneak off with a male. Not like she would do that anyway she was more than content to stay here with her hounds rather than go out and socialize with other females her age whose only goal in life was to marry up or with males who were only interested in what lies beneath her skirts.
Y/N let out a scoff as she entered into the noisy kennel. Her Family owned 18 total hounds, seven were her own personal hounds, five belonged to her father. And her three brothers each had three. Y/n had bred most of the hounds in the kennel bringing in a fortune for her family; however with 18 dogs comes a lot of work that takes some time. Y/N rolls up the sleeves to her shirt as she walks over to the first kennel, one of her fathers hounds, gently clips the leash onto the collar before leading the dog out of its kennel and clipping it onto one of the tiedown points on the center walkway so that she can begin the morning process.
Far more time than she would have liked has passed before she gets to Bellatrix’s kennel .Even with the two servants assigned to the kennels the laborious morning process takes much longer than anticipated, especially after finding out that two of her brother's bitches were in heat. She would pick out two males later to stick in the kennels with them to see if they could yield another two litters. At the moment though Y/N is currently checking over Bellatrix and her pups while listening to the pitiful whines from the kennel across the aisle where the pups sire was housed
“Khalid, Quit your whining. I will bring you over in just a second.” She scolded the dog, Missing the kennel doors open and her help freezing as the newcomers walked in.
Five people walk into the kennels. Her father and mother lead the High Lord Beron, The heavily pregnant Lady of Autumn, and Eris into the kennel. Ginger and another fox quickly darted into the kennel playfully chasing after one another accidentally slamming into Y/N’s legs pulling her attention away from Bellatrix and her pups.
“Y/N” Come greet our guest.” Her fathers voice rang throughout the kennels which suddenly seemed far too quiet as if the hounds knew the power and importance of the individuals that had just walked in. Y/N however was surprised by her father springing up and turning to face the newcomers, well aware that she was not appropriately dressed for this situation. Her cheeks flush in embarrassment as she makes her way towards the group.
“High Lord’ Y/N drops into an awkward curtsy not used to the performing the action in trousers instead of a dress “I apologize for my state I must have lost track of time”
The last thing Y/N wanted to do was bring shame to her father in front of one of his closest friends and her plans were to be ready and dressed before they had arrived, but Beron surprisingly just laughed it off, much to everyone's shock. While Beron had a reputation for being cruel, he had treated her like his own daughter and had even been named her godfather when she was born should anything have happened to her parents.
“Well this is part of why we were coming, to visit your prized hounds Y/N, I had expected to find you here.” His deep voice rang throughout the kennel “ I am in the market for a new hound and word is going around the court that one of yours is expecting a litter.”
“Well my Lord you are in luck Bella had her litter last night. So I currently have six puppies that will be available once they are weaned. Would you like to get a quick look?” Y/N raises from her curtsy, giving the high lord a smile. Beron holds out an arm for her to take as she leads the group back to Bellatrix’s kennel.
“Now I wouldn’t pick one out just yet as we don’t know what their personalities are going to be like just yet as they are less than 12 hours old at the moment. We can check back in about three to four weeks when they have started wandering away from mom. You will get the first pick of the litter of course my Lord.” Y/N prattles as the group looks on at the hound and her puppies. Another whine sounds from the kennel behind them reminding her of Khalid
“One moment.” she excuses herself, as her father and Beron start talking prices for the pup.” grabbing the lead off the wall, she steps into the kennel clipping it on and walking him over to the other kennel. Quickly opening it and unclipping the hound letting him dart off towards Bella and his pups looking on the scene like a proud father laying down next to Bellatrix, gently nosing one of the pups back towards its mother when it tried to wiggle away. Latching the kennel shut Y/N turns to face the group again, watching her parents and the high lord and his lady talk.
“Do you breed your hounds outside of your family’s kennels?” Eris’ rich voice meets her ears pulling her gazes toward him.
The moment that Eris’s rich cinnamon eyes meet Y/E/C , It's like all the air is sucked from the room. The mating bond snapping into place, the gold thread connecting the two of them together. Y/N cant help herself as she involuntarily takes a step towards the Autumn heir, towards the one that the mother had deemed to be her equal. Eris, the cruel heir of autumn, was her mate.
“Mate.” The words came from Eris' mouth before he could even think about stopping them and the room went silent as all eyes went to the two of you.

Platonic ranboo x enderman/human hybrid reader, two bros bonding over being half enderman
platonic! ranboo x enderman hybrid!reader
trigger warnings: none
premise: one day while wandering the forest you stumble into Philza, who upon seeing you immediately decides you need to meet Ranboo, and takes you back to the AAC to meet him
{also my basic thinking for an enderman hybrid would be: also bad at eye contact like Ranboo, (wears goggles to combat this?), can teleport but only small distances usally does acidently when startled, purple enderman like eyes, has the same silk touch thing as ranboo but like, half, so it only applies to certain things, also water doesn’t bother them as much, its like a minor inconvenience}
{also I know Edward is dead now, just let me have this}
“blep” talking
“Blep” Ender speak
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You hummed quietly to yourself, watching the fat snowflakes drift through the sky as you moved through the forest.
Shivering you tugged at your overcoat, peering around to try and find more berry bushes, Enderpearl, your arctic fox, following along, hoping you would find more food.
A few minutes later you found another bush, quickly stooping to fill as much inventory as you could with the berries, ears seeming to prick up at the sound of someone walking through the snow.
Standing up fully you adjusted your tinted goggles, looking around to try and find the source of the noise, still shivering at the cold.
“Are you alright mate?”
You jumped, purple particles surrounded you as you teleported a few yards away in surprise.
“Woah! How did you do that?”
You turned to see a blond avian hybrid, dressed mostly in green, “Oh- uh- h- hello.”
“How’d you do that?” He repeated, still looking a bit in shock.
“Why?” You asked, quickly defensive, you may have been a good 9 inches taller than him, but you weren’t too keen on fighting him.
“Oh- hey- hey, it’s alright mate, I just meant it was cool,” He held up his hands, as if to say he meant no harm, “Are you a hybrid too?”
Slowly you nodded, Enderpearl quickly running over to you, and you quickly scooped her up, holding her close to your body, still trying to keep the both of you warm.
“I’m Phil.” He offered, smiling.
“(y/n).” You were nearly stuttering from the cold.
“Are you cold (y/n)? You don’t seem very prepared for the climate.” Phil observed.
You nodded, “Enderpearl and me, we normally don’t come out this far, but Enderpearl likes berries and they only grow here.”
Phil nodded, “Are you an Enderman hybrid, by chance?”
“Y- yeah.” You said, reaching up and adjusting your goggles again.
“hmm, I know another enderman hybrid. You seem very cold (y/n), I don’t live to far from here, if you’d like to come warm up. It’s not very safe for you to stay out here.”
You bit your lip, wary, but looking down at Enderpearl, who was trying to curl further into your jacket, you didn’t want her to be cold, “Uh, sure, I guess.”
Phil nodded, turning and motioning for you to follow him, “Come on, You can meet Ranboo.”
“Ranboo?” You questioned, following him through the snow.
“He’s the other Enderman hybrid I know- well, part enderman part something,” Phil explained, “But that parts not important, I don’t think he can teleport but other than that he seems a lot like you.
“I’ve never met someone like me before.” You mumbled.
Phil smiled sadly, “I think that's the case for a lot of hybrids. Come on, it’s just past this clearing.”
A few moments later, as you emerged from the clearing, a rather large cottage came into view, smoke rising steadily from the chimney.
Phil gestured to the small building beside it, “That's where Techno keeps the hound army, Ranboo normally lives in a house he built just past it, but it’s far too cold for me to let him stay out there.”
You nodded, still looking around in slight awe as you followed Phil up the front steps.
“Tech!” Phil called, swinging the door open, “I’m home! I brought company!”
There was no response, and the man sighed, stamping snow off his boots and motioning for you to come all the way into the room, “There probably downstairs messing with the villagers. You can sit by the fire to warm up, I’ll go get them.”
You nodded as he went to climb down the ladder attached to one wall, slowly moving over to the fire and sitting down, Enderpearl on your lap.
“Young one.”
You jumped at the voice, turning to see an Enderman sitting in a boat in the corner of the room, “Oh- uh, hello. Are you- Are you Ranboo?”
The enderman shook his head, warbling, “I am Edward. Take off your coat child, it is far too wet to do anything but dry.”
“I’m (y/n).” You said, quickly shrugging out of your jacket.
~~ “You found another kid?” Techno crossed his arms, “Phil you’ve gotta stop bringing home strays.”
“Techno you can’t even say that, you’re the original stray.” Phil argued.
“He just doesn’t want to be replaced,” Ranboo quipped quietly, pausing to look up from sorting through a chest, “Wait- does that mean I’m a stray?”
Phil chuckled, “Yeah, it does.”
Technoblade groaned, “Phil you can’t just keep bringing kids into my house!”
“Well at least come meet them before you throw them out?” Phil asked, “And let me find them a better jacket. Its too cold for them out there.”
Ranboo watched as they had a silent staring contest, a silent discussion passing between them, until eventually Technoblade relented, grumbling something incoherent.
“Well come on then.” Phil said, motioning to the ladder.
Ranboo stood up, already starting to climb as Techno said, “I hope I don’t regret letting you do this Phil.”
“You won’t.”
Phil’s voice was partially drown out as Ranboo reached the main floor, his ears now filled with the sounds of warbled enderspeak.
He turned to see Edward deep in conversation with someone sitting hunched in front of the fire.
“You speak end?” He asked cautiously, almost hearing Phil chuckling from below.
The person jumped, purple particles flying around there head for a moment before they were gone, reappearing across the room, now next to Edwards boat.
Edward made a noise close to a chuckle, reaching one long arm out of his boat to grab your shoulder to stop your trembling, “That one is Ranboo.”
You nodded slowly, as Ranboo seemed to study you, “Your an enderman hybrid. That's so cool! I’m an enderman hybrid too! I can’t teleport though- its really cool that you can!”
You pushed your goggles up a bit from where they had slipped in the teleport, “Your eyes- why is that one red?”
“Oh- I- we think its whatever my other half is. Are your eyes green too?”
You shook your head, “Purple. How’d you mean you can’t teleport?”
“Haven’t figured it out yet- who taught you?”
You shrugged, “Just kinda knew. I usually only do it when I’m scared though.”
“Maybe you could teach me?” He asked excitedly.
Smiling you nodded, “Sure.”
~~
It was a while later, after the snow had stopped falling, and the sun had partially come out, you and Ranboo headed outside (not before Phil supplied you with a thicker coat), to try and teach him how to teleport.
Phil turned to Techno, who was watching from the window as you and Ranboo were running around laughing, trying to figure out the best way to teach him, “I know what you said about endermen in the house but we could help them with a different house, or they could stay with Ranboo proper-”
“They aren’t staying in the house,” The piglin interrupted, “Well- maybe when its cold- but other than that- not in the house.”
Phil smiled, “I knew you’d come around.”
Technoblade huffed, “I mean it’s probably safer for them here. Besides the kid needs someone like him besides Edward around here.”
The enderman in the corner nodded, also observing you and Ranboo from out the window.
Phil nodded, “Sure, sure.”
Outside you laughed again, “No! Not like that! You’ve gotta feel where you are, and where your gonna be and then just...” You trailed off, particles flying around your head again as you disappeared only to pop out on his other side.
“Okay okay, I think I get it.”
Ranboo squeezed his eyes shut, trying to do what you’d said.
You watched as the faintest of particles began to appear around his head, growing stronger- stronger- and then he fell face first into the snow.
“I don’t think this is working.” His response was muffled by the snow.
“Just a bit,” You said helping him up, “Here, hold onto me, and I’ll teleport. That normally works with Enderpearl.”
He nodded, grabbing onto your coat sleeve.
You concentrated, focusing on a spot on top of the dog house, slowly particles filled the air and then- pop! you were both standing on top of the house.
“Woah!” Ranboo exclaimed, looking around, laughing, “That felt weird!”
You nodded laughing, “Now try to teleport off the roof.”
After a while longer of failed attempts, and after being side tracked by Ranboo’s ability to move more than just dirt blocks, the sun began to set, and you headed back inside, still laughing as he recounted the time that he and Techno had spent a whole day wander around collecting spawners.
Sometime later, after dinner, both you and Ranboo had ended up sitting next to Edwards boat, the three of your quietly talking as you started the drift off, Enderpearl back in her spot on your lap.
Phil chuckled, looking over at the three endermen crowded around the boat, two mostly asleep.
Edward looked at him, noding once and warbling out something Techno couldn’t understand, “What’d ‘e say?”
Phil smiled, “Family.”

Prompt~ hoping you'll like it ♥️
Things between the Nie brothers are not always nice and happy, they fight, just like any other pair of brothers, and sometimes things are said, sometimes these things are heavy and painful. Sometimes they're said in the wrong moment (maybe at the eve of a battle? Sunshot campaign?) and huaisang doesn't know what to do with the broken look his brother gives him before leaving the unclean realm. Because what if he doesn't return? What if the last thing he said to him was how much he hated the man he became?
Labyrinth - ao3
“But I didn’t mean to wish him away!” Nie Huaisang cried out.
“That’s really too bad,” the goblin king said, looking pleasant and humble and charming the way he always did, even in his cape of glittering gold and high-browed hat. “I wish there was something I could do for you, but the rules are the rules. You wished him away, and I took him.”
“Aren’t you supposed to only take babies?” Nie Huaisang demanded.
“Your brother’s enough of a crybaby to count, it’s close enough.”
“It is not!” Nie Huaisang wrung his hands. “You don’t understand, the last thing I said to him was that I hated him! Meng Yao, please!”
“It’s Jin Guangyao,” the goblin king corrected. His smile looked a bit strained. “Listen, do you think I’m happy about this? He’s my sworn brother! I’m only doing what I have to –”
“Oh, save it for Lan Xichen,” Nie Huaisang growled. “Show me the labyrinth already.”
“You’re going to face the labyrinth,” the goblin king said. His voice was very polite, and yet still expressed significant doubt. “You.”
“Yeah, me!”
“You remember that it goes ‘through dangers untold and hardships unnumbered’, right? Not ‘through a nice teacher and a forgiving grading system’?”
“Yeah, well, your father is a fragging aardvark. Let me at the labyrinth already!”
-
“You know what,” Nie Huaisang said thoughtfully. “Thanks, but no thanks.”
The life-sized animated puppet blinked at him. “You – don’t want my help?”
“Nope. I’m good.”
“You haven’t even gotten into the labyrinth yet!”
“It wouldn’t be fair if I didn’t have a chance to get in,” Nie Huaisang said, patting around his sleeve and pulling out a fan. “So I’m just going to walk over and beat at the wall till something happens.”
The puppet followed him, staring blankly. Quite a change from his original apologetic ‘I’m sorry, I’m busy with my own things, I really can’t help you, also it’s too dangerous and you shouldn’t go’ response.
“You were blackmailing me to help you just a moment ago,” the puppet said after a little. “Don’t you need a guide?”
“Listen, I’m bad at memorizing things and I’m a little useless, but I’m not actually dumb,” Nie Huaisang said, fanning himself. “Jin Guangyao is a demon of the mind above all else, and the labyrinth is supposed to be ‘fair’ – which means, more than likely, that the labyrinth is a reflection of the subconscious, specially tailored to each person’s strengths and weaknesses. And that means that you, who sound exactly like Lan Xichen, are almost certainly a set-up sent by Jin Guangyao to ‘reluctantly’ aid me and then betray me.”
“Uh,” Lan Xichen-the-puppet said. “My name’s Hoggle, actually.”
“Whatever makes you feel better, er-ge…A-ha!” Nie Huaisang beamed at the gates that automatically opened. “Perfect!”
-
“Oh, don’t go that way,” the worm said. “Never go that way. And are you sure you don’t want to come in for a cup of tea?”
“No time,” Nie Huaisang said. “Thanks a lot – wait.”
The worm blinked at him.
“You’re a pretty attractive worm, in a slimy sort of way,” Nie Huaisang said, frowning at him.
The worm blinked again. “Why, thanks!”
“No, that’s not what I meant. Is your name Su She, by chance?”
“Definitely not!”
“Mm. Oddly vehement of you. Never mind. Just, quick, could you tell me exactly why do I not want to go that way?”
-
“I don’t suppose straight ahead is an option?”
The hands-faces stared at him.
“I’m just saying, I feel like most of my problems so far have come from the fact that I decided to accept the whole concept of turns. It seems like a mistake.”
“…it’s a labyrinth,” another set of the hands said. “You have to make turns!”
Nie Huaisang shook his head mournfully. “I should’ve brought Baxia or something and just – ZIP. Gone straight through. You know what I mean?”
“I’m dropping you in the oubliette regardless of your decision,” the first set of the hands said. It sounded a bit like Sect Leader Yao. “Just so you know.”
“My life is so hard,” Nie Huaisang sighed. “So hard! Do you know what it’s like to be overlooked by everyone? Do you know how hard I have to work at being this useless?”
“Drop him,” the set of hands that sounded like Sect Leader Ouyang said, and the set of hands that sounded like Sect Leader Yao said, “Yes. Now!”
Down Nie Huaisang went.
-
“I can take you back to the beginning of the labyrinth,” Lan Xichen offered.
“What, and waste all that time? I have a time limit, er-ge!”
“It’s better than being stuck in an oubliette. That’s where they put people to forget about them, you know.”
Nie Huaisang’s eyes filled with tears. “You want to forget me, er-ge? You think I’m useless, don’t you? A good-for-nothing, who’ll never amount to anything –”
“Please don’t cry.”
“ER-GE! WHY DON’T YOU LOVE ME!”
“Please stop crying!”
-
“So what’s the point of you?” Nie Huaisang asked the Wise Man with the Talking Hat.
“Not everyone exists to contribute to your storyline,” the Talking Hat snapped at him. “Some of us’ve got our own problems. Now hand over the candy!”
“Don’t be mean,” the Wise Man said. He had a white cloth over his eyes, and was smiling like he found the hat funny.
“Awww, but daozhang…!”
“Different plotline entirely, I guess,” Nie Huaisang decided. “Probably just here as a foil. Shall we keep going, er-ge?”
“I can’t believe you scammed me to get out of the oubliette,” Lan Xichen mumbled. “I can’t believe…”
-
“Oh, leave him alone, he’s just sensitive!” Nie Huaisang snapped.
“Am not!” the upside-down creature snarled, curled up on itself and trying to hide from all those that had been hitting him. Its fur was a vivid sort of purple. “Go away!”
“Don’t you have some sort of special power to help you here,” Nie Huaisang asked him as he tried to get him down before the goblins came back with weapons. “Rocks, maybe?”
“…lightning?”
“Well then get to it, will you?” Nie Huaisang frowned. “Wait. Lightning, constantly being tormented, terrible at communication, and purple? You’re Jiang Cheng, aren’t you?”
“…maybe.”
“Well then get down faster! I need to copy someone’s notes here!”
-
“Leave me aloooooooone!” Nie Huaisang howled, running away from the measuring snake.
-
“Wow,” Lan Xichen said, holding his cheek. “You kissed me.”
“You saved me from the snakes,” Nie Huaisang said. “Can we focus on how we’re in this awful stinking bog?”
“It’s not that bad!” a voice piped up. “I don’t smell anything!”
Nie Huaisang turned to stare, then pinched the bridge of his nose. “Of course you don’t,” he said. “I bet the total absence of a sense of smell helps when you eat spicy food, Wei-xiong.”
“There’s nothing wrong with spicy food!”
“You’re short,” Nie Huaisang informed the small goblin-like creature with the big grin and the red ribbon in its hair. It looked vaguely fox-like, or possibly like certain large breeds of rabbit.
“Why you..!” Wei Wuxian crossed his furry little paws over his chest. “Just for that, I’m not going to help you.”
“Uh-huh,” Nie Huaisang said. “Really. That’s awful…oh no! A dog!”
Wei Wuxian jumped high into the air. “A dog?! Lan Zhan, Lan Zhan! Save me!”
Much to Nie Huaisang’s surprise, a furry dog immediately darted out of nowhere – only Wei Wuxian didn’t seem afraid of it, but rather hid behind it, teeth chattering.
Truly, Nie Huaisang reflected, the eyes of love are blind.
“I think the ‘dog’ is gone now,” he said. “Your brave and noble Lan Wangji must’ve scared him away.”
Wei Wuxian’s head popped out from behind dog-Wangji. “Well, Lan Zhan is really cool…hey. Are you trying to manipulate me?”
“Is it working?”
“No!”
“So you won’t help me?”
“No!”
“Not even if it means you get to figure out a really tricky puzzle?”
“No – wait. A puzzle?”
“I can’t believe this is going to work,” Lan Xichen muttered from behind Nie Huaisang. “I mean, I can. But also…Wangji…I love you, but you could do so much better than this.”
-
“Ugh,” Nie Huaisang said. “I’m so thirsty.”
“Have some Emperor’s Smile,” Lan Xichen said, offering a jar.
“Amazing,” Nie Huaisang said, accepting it and taking a swing. “I had my doubts, you know, but you’re actually good for something after all, er-ge –”
-
The golden bird was Nie Huaisang’s favorite.
He’d worked so hard to bring it back to his aviary – it couldn’t be forced, he knew; it would play along at first but in the end it would turn on you and bite you. It had to be coaxed with gentleness and kindness, approached indirectly so as not to spook it, convince it that you really did mean well – that you were harmless, that it had no reason to fear you. It was arrogant, too, proud of its shining feathers and ashamed of the brown plumage of its chick days, which still remained visible on its tender underbelly. Ironically, that was Nie Huaisang’s favorite part of it, the soft and gentle part; it might not be as pretty as the gold, but it felt more genuine.
Nie Huaisang smiled as he brushed the beautiful feathers, and the golden bird allowed him. He felt cherished, treasured. So what if he had to hide all the sharp parts of himself to get this close?
It was fine. He didn’t like to be sharp.
He wanted to be soft. Soft and gentle, careless and free, relaxed and without effort, good for nothing –
Wait.
No!
-
“It’s all junk,” Nie Huaisang hissed at the pile of burning fans, tears in his eyes. “I want my da-ge!”
-
“You’re all right!” Wei Wuxian exclaimed, helping pulled Nie Huaisang up.
“Huaisang-xiong,” Jiang Cheng said, looking relieved. “You’re back.”
“We have to go to the temple beyond the Goblin City,” Nie Huaisang said, teeth gritted together. “We have to. I won’t let that bastard…we’re going to go there and throw all his damned tricks right in his face!”
“Just us?” Wei Wuxian asked. “I mean, I’m awesome, Lan Zhan is fantastic, and of course Jiang Cheng is great, too, but…uh…there’s a lot of goblins in the city.”
“We’ll sneak in,” Nie Huaisang said. “He thinks he’s sidelined me entirely – he thinks I’m useless. He won’t be expecting me to get this far.”
“I can get help,” Jiang Cheng said. “I have friends.”
“…not to be rude, Jiang-xiong,” Nie Huaisang said. “But – really?”
-
“You know what,” Nie Huaisang said, eyeing the pile of rocks following Jiang Cheng around, each one painted with a name. One of the names was yellow. Two were in white, with forehead ribbons. “This is fine. I feel like it says something really rude about my empathy for and interest in our junior generation, or lack thereof, but you know what? I don’t care. It’s fine.”
-
“You saved me,” Nie Huaisang said blankly, looking at Lan Xichen, who shrugged, abashed. The remains of the mechanical temple guard were scattered all over. “Over – him?”
“Huaisang –”
“No,” Nie Huaisang said, holding up his hands. “Don’t. Don’t…I don’t want to hear you talk.”
Lan Xichen’s head dropped down and he looked at the ground. “You knew from the beginning what I was like,” he murmured. “I never tried to hide it –”
“I forgive you for being what you are,” Nie Huaisang told him, and Lan Xichen looked up at him, startled and pleased. “I forgive you for not having the backbone to stand up against Jin Guangyao for me – or for da-ge. For being willfully blind for so long, for needing someone else’s proof of his ill-intentions, for always picking him first, for never trusting me…I forgive you, even if you’d never forgive me for the same.”
He dashed away the angry tears in his eyes.
“I just wish this wasn’t a fucking metaphor.”
-
Nie Huaisang left the fighting to the people who knew what to do – Wei Wuxian, Lan Wangji, Jiang Cheng, even the rock-juniors – and went to the temple at the center of the city alone.
Some things, he knew, needed to be done alone, even if it was the type of alone when you were surrounded by other people. Even when those other people stood by his side and made him promise that if he needed them, he would only need to call. Some things…
“I want my da-ge back,” he said to the maze of stairs.
“Then go and find him,” Jin Guangyao replied, looking smug, and Nie Huaisang had to go up and down all those fucking stairs, because Jin Guangyao was nothing if not predictable with his trauma, looking all over, looking for –
Looking for pieces.
“It’s just a metaphor,” he whispered to himself, ignoring how tears were streaming down his face. “It’s just – I need to put him back together, it’s fine. I’m not too late – I’m not too late –”
-
Jin Guangyao held Nie Mingjue’s head in his hands, blinded and gagged and bound with talismans, pulled out of whatever oubliette he'd shoved it into to forget about what he'd done. “Beware, Huaisang,” he said, still smiling. Always smiling. “I’ve been generous up until now, but I can be cruel.”
Nie Huaisang laughed, scoffing. “Generous? What have you done for me that’s generous?”
“Everything! Everything you’ve wanted, I’ve done – I cared for you, I gave you attention, I got you out of work, doing your schoolwork for you and coming up with excuses to get you out of saber training. I gave you presents, fans and pretty clothing, and when that brute of a brother of yours tried to take them from you, I rescued you. And then I even managed your sect for you, answered all of your questions, any time you had – Huaisang, I’m exhausted trying to live up to your expectations of me. Isn’t that generous?”
Nie Huaisang bared his teeth. “Half of those are burdens that only fell on me because of you. Why should it matter to me that cleaning up your own mess and satisfying your own guilt is hard? Why should I pay such a price when all I wanted was to be your friend? When all da-ge wanted was to be your friend? How dare you, Meng Yao!”
“Huaisang…” Jin Guangyao shook his head mournfully. “Huaisang, the last step here is to say the words to break the spell. But you were never good at memorization, were you?”
Nie Huaisang bit his lip until he drew blood.
“Through dangers untold, and hardships unnumbered,” he said. “I have fought my way here to the temple beyond the goblin city –”
“Huaisang, stop! Look at what you’re risking here. You know how everyone loves me – do you think anyone will forgive you for taking me down, for tricking them all? You’ll be all alone!”
I already am, Nie Huaisang thought.
“My will is as strong as yours,” he said. “And my kingdom is as great…”
His voice trailed off.
“I ask for so little,” Jin Guangyao said beseechingly, convincingly, looking just like he always did, like the man who'd been their friend. “Just let me fool you, and you can have anything you want. No responsibilities, no stress, a life of your own. You can even have Lan Xichen, if that’s what you want…”
What’s the last line, Nie Huaisang thought, hating himself for being such a poor student, for cramming things into his mind without any order, for never being able to retain a single drop of it no matter how hard he tried. What is it? Why can’t I ever remember?
“It’d be so easy,” Jin Guangyao crooned. “Much easier than this. Just fear me, love me, believe me, and I’ll be your slave.”
Sharp teeth in a false smile.
Nie Huaisang shook in terror. He couldn’t – his da-ge needed him – he couldn’t be afraid, couldn’t be a coward, couldn’t be good-for-nothing – couldn’t let Jin Guangyao win – couldn’t let him –
That was it.
Nie Huaisang raised his head until his eyes met his enemy’s.
Sensing something wrong, Jin Guangyao’s eternal smile dimmed, and he began to step forward, reaching out, but it was too late.
“You have no power over me,” Nie Huaisang declared, and the world within a world collapsed.
-
Nie Huaisang opened his eyes.
-
Nie Huaisang sat in his desk in the Unclean Realm, trying to amuse himself by trying to figure out what exactly he’d eaten the night before that had given him such bizarre dreams. It was not successful, on account of him being alone.
Alone, just as he had been every night, and every day as well, since the success of his scheme at the Guanyin Temple.
Just as the dream-Jin Guangyao had threatened.
It wasn’t that Nie Huaisang regretted what he had done – the dream was clear enough about that; he’d do it all again in a heartbeat if he had to. But in the dream he’d been working alongside his former friends, with Lan Xichen betraying but then returning to him, with Wei Wuxian dragging Lan Wangji around, with stone-faced Jiang Cheng and the rather interchangeable junior squad behind him…and in his dream, in the end, they’d let him go to take his revenge, telling him that if he needed them for any reason, he could just call.
Just call, and they’d come back to him. Instead of turning from him in disgust, they’d stand by his side…
“Stupid subconscious,” Nie Huaisang mumbled to himself. “What do you expect? That I'd write to them and say ‘for no real reason at all, I find that I rather need you’?”
Silence answered him.
“Well, I do,” he said with a sigh, putting his chin on his hands. “Does that make you happy? I do need you.”
“You do?” Wei Wuxian’s voice rang out, and Nie Huaisang jumped nearly out of his skin. “Well, why didn’t you say so?”
Nie Huaisang turned, staring: it was Wei Wuxian at the door, the human version of him, and of course there was Lan Wangji right before him, and Jiang Cheng, and the (still mostly interchangeable) juniors, and – and even Lan Xichen, who Nie Huaisang was sure had gone into seclusion with no intent to leave.
“What are you doing here?” Nie Huaisang squeaked. And why hadn’t any of his sect disciples warned him?
“We just bullied our way though the door before anyone could stop us,” Wei Wuxian said cheerfully, answering the unspoken question first. “As for the rest – it turns out that I had the strangest dream the other night, really, truly bizarre, and obviously I had to tell Lan Zhan all about it, except it turned out he had a strange dream too.”
Nie Huaisang’s jaw dropped. “But –”
“I felt da-ge’s qi woven into the labyrinth,” Lan Xichen said quietly. “I thought it’d have long ago dissipated or been locked away, but – it was there, in every stone, in every turn. Every obstacle that didn’t really hurt you, every goblin that was more silly than scary…he was there. It was unmistakable.”
Nie Huaisang swallowed. The story of the labyrinth, baby-stealing wish-granting goblin king and all, had been one that Nie Mingjue had told him as a bedtime story, when he'd been a child in need of comfort; he hadn’t thought of it in years before last night. “But…why…?”
“Because Chifeng-zun has a demented sense of humor?” Jiang Cheng suggested, looking irritated.
“Jiujiu means that he hasn’t had that much fun in years, and also that you should throw a party,” Jin Ling said. “You are hosting all three of the sect leaders of all the other Great Sects. Also, why were we rocks?”
“Uh, no idea,” Nie Huaisang said. “Da-ge’s weird sense of humor, no doubt! Anyway, did you say party? I can do a party!”
He rushed out of the room, calling for his servants, calling for them to bring food and wine and tea, and as he did, he looked out of the window – a golden bird was flying away, looking hunted as if something was chasing it, and even as he watched, it crossed the borders of the Unclean Realm and suddenly dissolved into a fizzle of golden dust.
Nie Huaisang put his hand on the stone wall, and felt a familiar echo.
A very familiar echo.
“Oh,” he said, to his servants, feeling somehow simultaneously sheepish and filled with joy. “And while you’re at it, can you bring me my saber? I seem to have – misplaced it…”

heyy coolcat! had a couple of ideas for the noir au:
Since Jordan's way of praying is through foxes and forests, I'd like to think that her way of worship is by the water. but instead of following foxes she gets followed by a dock spider. She doesn’t know that it’s following her and the only interaction anyone’s had with it is Tom. She had gone to him for a very bad wound and after she passed out on his couch, he found the dock spider sitting on his desk watching him. (in regular Mianite I always imagine that the way she worships Ianite is different than Jordan’s and I wanted to keep that here)
Capsize’s gun is a dark iridescent purple while Redbeard’s shotgun has these beautiful engravings, one of them being of the scales.
Nadeshot used to work as a deputy in the same precinct as Sonja. He used to report back to Tom, but one thing led to another and now he’s missing. He's been considered missing for a while before Sonja starts working there.
Okay, I love the idea of Capsize just being followed by a big spider so much, especially her not knowing about it. It's different from Jordan's in a very fun way (and I think it's kind of fun that it is a spider, an animal that Jordan hates).
Continuing thoughts on this idea, I also really like Capsize and Tom having a positive personal history, to add to Capsize's anger that he's apparently ordered her attacked and her brother kidnapped, and Tom's absolute confusion that Capsize is attacking him.
Yes to these designs for the guns. I especially like the idea of Redbeard's shotgun having just beautiful designs on it, because if it isn't magic it deserves to be beautiful. (As a note, the reason in my head that his gun isn't magic is he doesn't have great depth perception and thinks it a bad idea in case he misjudges a shot).
So, Nade either founded or joined a cult. I do love him being a previous informant for Tom though, and then just disappearing. Like it just sets up a little sinister mystery from before Sonja was even around.

- Foolish knocks on the door again. This time, Bad throws him an Efficiency book and requests more wall nuts. Then several emeralds, again requesting another wall nut, then Ender Pearls
- Foolish offers Bad their premium wall nut deal to become a Platinum member. Bad continues to throw Foolish various items, each time requesting a wall nut. In return for the wall nuts, Foolish gets his stacks of glass back
- Foolish is out of wall nuts. Bad gets behind a door with a few spruce blocks as walls surrounding a 1x1 block area
Bad: this is mine
- Foolish asks him what he means. Bad says this block is his. Foolish strongly rejects this, and Bad asks for more wall nuts
- Bad returns to the chest and shoots Foolish. He asks for the arrow back, as it was a family heirloom. He leaves the 1-block house, but takes the door
- Just as Foolish is getting to return to building, Bad calls him for help. He’s trapped in a hole with a cow and turtle. Bad notices that Foolish sparkles (it’s a skin routine, apparently). Bad offers a fish in return for saving him
- Foolish tells Bad to kill the cow first. Bad refuses to kill Jeremiah (the cow), so Foolish starts waterboarding Bad (”accidentally, so it’s okay!”) to calm him down and unintentionally milks Jeremiah
- Bad starts drowning
- Foolish sleeps with both eyes open because he’s built different
- As Bad continues to drown, Foolish tells him that it’s evolution. He is on the way to getting gills, and eventually he will be a fish that Foolish can put in a bucket. Bad is delighted at the idea and tells Foolish that George was a pig yesterday
- The turtle is named Franklin now
Foolish: “Yeah, I’m definitely thinking we should kill one of these, if not both of them, before there’s too much, like, connection, and I’m afraid we’re already a little bit past the point -- it’s just gonna help you move on from the pit, you know?”
- Bad continues drowning as they chat. Finally, Foolish gets rid of the water. He is Bad’s hero, and Bad was the damsel in distress
- He tells Bad to give him the milk bucket, and when Bad refuses, Foolish puts the water back in the pit
Foolish: “Drown, you bastard.”
- Franklin (the turtle) and Jeremiah (the cow) both escape the pit. With only Bad remaining there, they continue to bicker about the bucket for a long while
- Bad finally gets out of the pit with scaffolding
- Foolish murders Benjamin and ends stream

She’s not here
They were all on the bus, heading back to the hotel for dinner and rest.
It was hard work, fixing up a park, but the class did it well. By the end of the day, it was beautiful, all traces of trash had disappeared and they had even managed to give some benches a new coat of paint.
Lila beamed and clapped as it was over, promising everyone a scoop of ice cream, as was tradition when she finished a big project. However, when they found a place that was selling ice cream, she realized she left her wallet in her room.
Apologizing profusely, she swore that she’d get them a treat some other time.
“This has never happened before; I’m so sorry everyone!”
Alya patted her shoulder. “It’s okay, girl. You already helped so much to heal that park; let us do something for you.”
“At least let me order for all of you.”
“If you want, girl, sure.”
“Okay, I’m usually really good at guessing people’s favorite ice cream flavors once I get to know them, so I should be good for most of you, but since Marinette and I haven’t been on such good terms lately, I’ll probably need to ask her. Where is she?”
“I dunno. Mari!” Alya called into the meager crowd of students. “Come on out, hun, we need to know your pick for ice cream!”
Adrien piped up from the back, where he was chatting with Rose. “I don’t think she’s here. She must not have come back from her walk.”
Alya felt her heart race with concern. “Lila, I know you want us to have ice cream, but there’s no way we can just leave Marinette in the forest.”
“Of course not, Alya.” She placed a hand on her shoulder. “I’ll go look for her after I place our orders. I know these woods better than anybody; I’ll have her back in a jiff.”
“Okay, thanks Lila.” She let out a breath, leaning against Nino.
True to her word, Lila left soon after ordering for everyone, heading down the sidewalk to look for Marinette. Sure, she seemed to be going the wrong way, but it was probably a shortcut she forgot to mention.
—
The walk back to the hotel was lovely, with Alya and Adrien arguing over which picture of Ladybug should be the new header for her blog and Nino holding her hand the whole way.
It was only when she got back to the hotel and saw Lila lounging beside a cute boy, did she remember that her BFF was missing.
“Lila! Did you find her?”
Adrien jolted, mid-sentence and looked up at Lila with hopeful eyes. It seemed that he forgot about Marinette too.
Lila sat still for a moment, before a look of remorse crossed her face.
“I’m so sorry, Alya. I couldn’t find her. I scoured every path, but nothing.”
“I should probably check.” Adrien raised his hand. “After all, I’m her boyfriend.”
“That’s a great idea.” Lila stood and walked to clasp Adrien’s arm. “I’ll come too, so we don’t get lost like Marinette.”
An odd look crossed Adrien’s face, but he nodded nevertheless. They began walking to the exit.
“Ah!” Lila flinched, clutching her leg. “My leg! I must have sprained it while looking for Marinette.”
“Oh!” Alya rushed to Lila’s other side, helping Adrien hold her up. “Let’s get you to our room, maybe get some ice for that leg.”
“No, I know you and Nino probably wanted to spend some time together. Adrien can take me. After all, what are all of those fencing lessons for?” She nudged him with a teasing grin, which he shakily returned. Poor guy, probably so worried about Marinette.
“Okay, make sure you call me if you need anything.” She grabbed both of her shoulders. “Anything.”
“Of course.” She smiled and patted her arm before tugging Adrien to the stairs.
Alya turned to Nino with a beam. “Soo, wanna hang out?”
He rolled his eyes, slipping his headphones back around his neck. “Of course, it’s not like we’ve talked about it since we found out about the trip.”
She leaned into his side, pressing a kiss on his jaw. “I’ve looked up a map, and I’m ready to show you all the sights.”
“Hi!” An unfamiliar voice surprised them; it was chirpy like Rose, but not quite as high. They turned in unison and saw a willowy girl with a long ponytail trailing down her back. An odd headband was woven into the deep purple locks.
“Sorry to eavesdrop, but I heard you two were looking for a place to hang out? Might I suggest…” her eyes landed on Alya’s face before brightening up again. “The aquarium? In the evening like this, the lights turn on and everything seems to glow an incredible blue.”
“Really?” She glanced at Nino with a grin. “That sounds like an incredible thing to put on my blog! Come on, Nino, let’s go!”
“Okay.” He chuckled and allowed himself to be pulled down a random hallway.
“Just take a right, then a left. It should be two doors down!”
They both giggled like kindergartners as they ran down the halls. Nino stopped and cocked a brow when she continued pulling him past the door the girl mentioned.
“Let’s play a game.” She whispered. “We both get lost and try to meet back here. Video chat so we know we don’t cheat.”
He pulled out his phone and called her in response.
Once they had gotten thoroughly lost, Alya set a timer and began dashing back to the aquarium.
It took her three minutes. (she may have cheated a little bit, but it wasn’t her fault! Nino is really cute when he gets winded from running!) She stumbled into the room, listening to Nino complain about how much she was making him run.
It was incredible. The latent orange from the sunset and the blues from the aquarium blended in a perfect contrast that she almost dropped her phone.
“Whereisshe...”
“You say something babe?” She glanced down at her phone. It was blank; no service.
Oh well, Nino would tell her what he said when he got here. Meanwhile, she raised her camera app to capture the stunning sight before her.
“She’snothere...”
A flicker at the corner of her screen. She lowered her phone, but nothing was there. It was slipped into her pocket as she turned to the larger aquarium. The fish seemed to be missing, except for one bright orange angel fish.
“She’snothere...”
The fish swam in hypnotizing figure eights. Alya stared at it, entranced. It felt like with every figure eight, the fish was stealing a little bit of breath from her.
“She’snothere.”
The fish moved faster and faster, until the swift motions combined with her shortness of breath made it look almost like it was forming a circle.
“She’snothere.”
No, not a circle.... a face. A face with thick rimmed glasses and a mole just above her eye. A face that looked like hers, but not.
“She’snothere. She’snothere. She’s. Not. HERE.”
A body erupted from the water, and Alya flinched from the waved, but they didn’t even spray her with a mist. Almost like they weren’t there.
A girl stood before her, hair in knots, staring at Alya. She was in a fancy blue dress that looked like it should be poofy, if not for the water dripping from the hem.
Alya stood stock-still, chest heaving. “Who are you?”
“Where is she?” A voice hissed from nowhere.
The girl looked at her with hollow eyes. “She’s not here.”
“Who are you walking about? What was that voice?”
The figure jolted, like a glitching video. Suddenly, her hair was neat and styled. Her dress was dry and fanned out around her.
“Are you okay? What’s going on?”
“Where is she?” The bodiless voice asked again, this time in a tone so sickly sweet, Alya felt like retching.
Her mirror image grinned at the ceiling, walking closer to the empty aquarium. She put her hand on it, like she was about to push open a door.
“She’s right here.”
Spectral waves rushed from the glass, assaulting and surrounding Alya. Her breaths became more and more shallow, it felt like her throat was closing up.
Like she was drowning.
—
When Nino came in, panting and just barely biting his tongue from cussing, Alya was curled in a ball on the floor, wheezing.
“Als!” He fell to his knees beside her, taking in her vitals like he learned in the akuma relief seminar. “You okay? It looks like you had either an allergic reaction or a panic attack. What was in that ice cream you ate?”
“Don’t...know... Lila ordered.” She gripped his hand tightly and pulled herself up, pulling out her phone and dialing Lila’s number.
“Alya!” She could hear the smile in her voice. “Adrien, come on over, it’s Alya.”
“Hey Alya.”
“What... was in the ice cream?”
“The ice cream I ordered? I can’t remember... hazelnuts, I think?”
She glanced at Nino with wide eyes. She was allergic to hazelnuts. Not enough to do anything serious, but enough that she had a little trouble breathing afterwards. That must also explain that weird stuff she saw too; oxygen deprivation.
Nino grabbed her arm, fully intent on taking her to her room to recuperate for the rest of the night. She allowed him to, still a little shaken.
—
A sleek fox sat in front of a broken-eyed ghost. So?
“She’s not here.” Anya replied, glaring at the ceiling. She looked back down, her defiant eyes turning sad. “She’s not here.”
Not true. She’s here, and she’s safe and sound in her room.
Her broken eyes lit up and she floated purposefully towards the best room in the home.
Not yet you don’t! Finny hovered in front of the ghost. She’s sleeping and you won’t bother her!
The ghost nodded forlornly and dissipated.
That settles it, doesn’t it? Grace asked once the ghost was gone
Yep, Allegra moved forwards. These students are helping them pass on. Once they impart their knowledge, and scare them straight, they get their free will back, to haunt or help who they choose.
It’s weird though, isn’t it? Finny mused. How just one word could have changed everything? If Anny had just lied to her, none of this will be happening.
But she didn’t. Allegra reminded him softly. None of them did, and this is the price they pay.
Yeah... Finny flew low. Hey Allegra?
Yeah, Fin?
She’s here. Giddiness oozed from his voice.
Yeah, Allegra stared at the hallway leading to the girl that gave their lives purpose again, she is.

You Fell From the Sky - Part 2
Leonardo x Reader
Author: Admin Mo
Summary: After falling from the sky and landing literally in the arms of your favorite turtle, it takes some adjustment to live in another reality, but with the help of the leader in blue, you’re getting used to it.
Note: Let it be known that I wrote the first part of this before I knew reality shifting was a thing, but now that I know it is……let me tell you, I am tempted…
Warnings: None?
Word Count: 1.6k
It had been three weeks. Three whole weeks living in the lair. You were over the moon. Honestly, it was spectacular. However, after three weeks without a phone charger (you’d been using it very, very sparingly and had it turned off most of the time) your phone was now at one percent. So, you popped into the lab, where Donnie was at the moment.
“Hey Donnie?” You asked tentatively, standing in the doorway.
“Oh, hey (Y/N)! Can I help you with something?” He asked, his voice friendly. He looked up at you, giving you his full attention from whatever he was working on.
“Um, do you have a phone charger I can use?”
“Of course!” He pulled open a drawer on his desk that was absolutely filled with charging chords of every time, meticulously organized with twist ties. “What kind do you need?”
“iPhone.” You said.
He reached into the drawer and handed you a ten-foot chord. “Here you go.”
“Thank you!” You smiled. “What are you working on, if you don’t mind me asking?”
“I don’t mind!” He scooted over to let you see his screen. “I’m working on figuring out how to open an interdimensional portal right now. Sorry it’s taking me so long.”
“Don’t be sorry. This is literally groundbreaking work. You’re a genius, but I definitely didn’t expect you to do it overnight.”
“Well that’s reassuring.” He chuckled. “I’ll keep you posted. Don’t want to keep you here any longer than we have to.”
You knew he was kidding about the last bit, but your heart sank a little when he said it. You liked being at the lair. You liked spending time with the guys. Sure, you wanted to go home at some point, but you wished it didn’t have to come so soon.
“Thank you, Donnie.”
You left the lab to find Leo lingering just outside. He looked concerned, his arms crossed, head tilted, blue, blue eyes focused on you. “You okay?” he asked softly.
You nodded. “Yeah, I’m fine. Why?”
“No reason. You just seemed a little down.” He answered. He stared at you for a moment before remembering, “Oh, April is here. She brought you some more clothes.”
“Awesome. Thank you so much.”
“Don’t mention it.” He shrugged, leading you back out to the living room, where Mikey was ranting about something to April and Casey while Raph listened and shook his head.
You stared at each of them for a long moment, absorbing. Megan Fox and Stephen Amell were standing like twenty feet away from you. It was overwhelming to say the very least. “Holy shit…”
“Hi! You must be (Y/N). I’m April. This is Casey.”
“Hockey puck has got a bit of a chip on his shoulder, but he means well.” Raph elaborated.
“This is so insane.” You laughed, smiling at them. “It’s incredible to meet you. The boys…told you where I’m from, right?”
“Yeah, they did.” April nodded. “That must have been quite the jump.”
“It was. I’m still…getting used to it, I guess.”
“Well, take your time.” She nudged Raph playfully. “They take some getting used to.”
“Hey!” Raph scoffed, nudging her back. “Ya took some getting used to yourself, O’Neil.”
“I wouldn’t worry too much.” Leo said, his eyes sparkling. “I think you’re fitting in just fine.”
You ignored the way your heart raced when he said it, replying with a smirk, “I agree.”
***
It was later that night. You were in the kitchen, baking with Splinter’s permission. He was in his room drinking tea and the boys were out on patrol. That was the other thing. Every time they left, you felt empty. You knew they’d be fine, but there was always a little bit of worry nagging in the back of your brain. What if they…weren’t?
So: stress-baking. The recipe of the evening? Chocolate chip cookies. They were a classic you were sure the boys would like. Your hair was up in a messy bun and you had some tunes playing from your phone. You scooped out the balls of cookie dough, setting them in careful rows on the pan before sticking them into the hot oven.
You baked for a few hours, rotating trays until you had a batch big enough to feed four hungry mutant turtles, their father, and yourself.
You switched off the oven, and right as you did, you heard their voices echoing through the tunnels until finally, they entered the lair.
“Good night?” You asked hopefully.
“Better now, angelcakes.” Mikey winked and then stopped in his tracks when he saw the steaming pile of fresh-baked cookies. His eyes widened and he gasped excitedly. “Are these for us?”
“Yep.”
“Wow, she bakes, too, Leo.” Raph teased, reaching for a cookie in time with Donnie.
“Thanks, (Y/N),” said the turtle in the purple bandana.
“Of course.”
Leo went in for one last, still reeling a bit from Raph’s comment, his cheeks rosier than usual. He said softly, “Thank you for doing this.”
“Thank you for letting me crash here. I honestly don’t know what I would have done without you guys finding me when you did.”
“It’s the least we could do.” Leo insisted.
“Alright, quit yer flirting. Let’s all go watch a movie or something.” Raph insisted, walking out towards the TV. The rest of you followed, and of course when you and Leo went to find seats, the only two that were left were right next to each other.
You settled in, blushing a bit. Raph had a smug smirk on his face.
“What?” You challenged, causing him to chuckle.
“Nothin’.”
As it got later, it also got colder, and you soon found yourself shivering the slightest bit, wishing you’d thought to grab a blanket before the movie started like the rest of the guys had.
“Are you cold?” Leo asked.
Instead of telling him you weren’t like you wanted to, you nodded. Without hesitation, he pulled half of his large blue blanket onto your lap, letting you share his warmth. As if you weren’t blushing enough before, he just had to be a gentleman and fluster you even further.
“T-thanks.” You could have punched yourself for stuttering, but Leo didn’t seem to mind. He still kept a polite distance from you, his leg a good few inches from yours despite the blanket that was draped across you both.
You were quiet for the rest of the movie, and when it was over, Raph went to work out, Donnie retreated into his lab, and Mikey went to his room to scroll through TikToks on his phone. That left you and Leo sitting awkwardly under the large blue knitted blanket you were sure Raph had made. Maybe it had been a Christmas present or something. You weren’t sure.
“Not to give you déjà vu, but I’m sorry about Raph.” Leo chuckled. “I asked him to stop, so of course it only got worse.”
“I really don’t mind.” You told him, meeting his clear blue gaze. “That’s what brothers do, isn’t it?”
He laughed. “Yeah, I guess it is. Do you have any siblings?”
“No, unfortunately. I’m an only child. Grew up with my aunt because my parents couldn’t be bothered to actually parent.”
“Mmm.” Leo hummed, nodding.
“I guess that’s probably why I latched onto the idea of you guys so much as a kid. I liked the idea of a sibling bond like that. Working together as a team. Having a built-in group of friends to hang out with.”
“It’s not all sunshine and rainbows, but we do work well together.” Leo agreed. “When we’re not bickering, that is.”
You were quiet for a moment, mustering up courage before you said, “He’s right, though. Raph, I mean.”
Leo stared at you, his eyes widening in half-realization. “What…how…what do you mean?” His voice cracked when he asked it, his heart pounding.
“Well…Leo, I’ve had a crush on you since I was fifteen years old; I doubt it’s going away anytime soon.”
He looked at you in shock, pretty sure he’d hallucinated what you just said. All he could reply with was a shaky, “On me?”
You laughed. “Yes, Leo. On you. It’s okay if you don’t feel the same. I’m not even supposed to exist here.”
“I do. Feel the same.” He blurted. His statement was quick, but it was firm. Carefully, he took your hand in his large, green, three-fingered one and he was reminded just how different the two of you actually were. He was about to let go, but you squeezed his hand reassuringly. He laughed at himself, slightly embarrassed to be floundering in front of you, but it was out of his control. “I’m sorry, I’m new to this.”
“That’s okay.” You smiled, tucking a piece of hair behind your ear.
“I promise I’ll do my best to make you happy. Just let me know if I’m doing something wrong. I’m learning, after all.” His thumb rubbed the back of your hand. “And I know that…at some point you’re going to have to go back. But…I’m willing to make the most of whatever time we have.”
“Me too.” You nodded. A yawn slipped from your lips. It was getting late. You wouldn’t be surprised if the sun was already up. “I think it’s about time I got to bed.” You told him, standing up and setting the blanket on the couch.
Since you’d been there, the boys had created you a makeshift room of your own in one of the giant pipes in the wall, a little one with your own mattress and some bedding Raph had whipped up for you.
Leo stood up too, towering over you as soon as he did. You stood on your toes and pressed a kiss to his cheek.
“Goodnight.”
“Goodnight.” Leo replied, smiling at you like you’d put the moon and stars in the sky with your bare hands. “See you tomorrow.”
“See you tomorrow.” You echoed, walking off towards your pipe, a new kind of warmth swirling around in your chest.

I am a little too attached to this idea.
This also has a lot of my Hermitcraft Headcanons, so just roll with whatever I type.
Hermit!Fundy AU
After Doomsday, Fundy runs away from the DSMP and somehow ends up in Hermitcraft.
He is confused about where he is because c!Fundy wouldn't he aware of what Hermitcraft is, though I imagine be has heard stories.
I like to think when he gets nervous he reverts into fox like tendencies like swiping items. He starts stealing from the Hermits, only essential items though.
Iskall is the one who finds him. The naga heads home to his tree when he sees Fundy there with berries in his mouth. Foxes are faster than snakes so Fundy easily outruns Iskall.
Iskall sends out an alert that a humanoid fox seems to be stealing from him so he is probably the fox stealing from others.
It is easily decided that Etho is the one to hunt down this newcomer as he is the fastest Hermit when it comes to the ground. Etho enlists False, Grian, Stress, and Beef to help him out.
After communication between the five, Etho captures Fundy and brings him to the shopping district. Fundy is terrified because him being contained reminds him of the Manburg Festival and Technoblade's execution.
Iskall volunteers to look after Fundy until the hermits meet up to determine his fate.
Iskall and Fundy form a strong bond as Iskall regconizes Fundy as an inventor after Iskall accidentally spilled redstone dust. Iskall manages to glean some information from the fox about the Dream SMP.
Iskall just learns that Fundy's home was destroyed so he ran away. Iskall also infers that Fundy didn't have the best support system after going over his notes with Cleo.
The meeting comes and Iskall convinces the others to let Fundy stay for a bit.
Fundy sticks by Iskall the most, but slowly warms up to Doc and Stress as well.
Doc reminds Fundy of Schlatt
Stress reminds Fundy of Niki
Stress is the first one to learn that Fundy is a Nymph most comfortable in fox form. Stress is a Nymph as well, so the two bond over nature.
The other Hermits notice that Fundy tends to reject his hybrid heritage, and are concerned by this considering that a lot of their members are hybrids on some level.
Stress manages to get an answer from Fundy that his old server was not friendly towards hybrids citing an enderman hybrid to be forced to take off their hat even though it protects them from the rain. He also cites that being a hybrid was used as one of the reasons to execute someone.
Hermitcraft make a point to show they don't care about hybrids showing off their traits. Grian and Zedaph fly around a lot more around Fundy to display the fact their wings aren't clipped. Cleo is seen being given weakness potions as they are the equivalent of regeneration potions to her. Vintage isn't teased with the color red or made fun of for being mostly vegetarian. Ren isn't made fun of for his tail wagging or being restrained when the full moon comes. Iskall still has his fangs. Tango soaks into pools of lava and isn't treated as terrifying like withers are on the DSMP.
Eventually Fundy starts to display his more hybrid like traits. He eats berries more often and sleeps curled up. He even forgets that others can't just walk through berry bushes like he can. He allows himself to jump higher and dig random holes around the place to burry items into. He even makes himself a den instead of a house where he is most comfortable.
Fundy is a prankster, and once Grian found out it was the end for all the Hermits' sanity.
Hermits like to share stories of their scars, and ask Fundy about the scorch marks on his paws. Fundy awkwardly explains it is from when his father blew up his home and from where he has handled matches in bounts of insanity.
Afterwards the Hermits make it a point to check up on him from time to time. Fundy is starved of touch and communication so he gets really excited when any of them drop in for a visit. Eventually all the Hermits learn about Fundy's depressing life.
Fundy was overjoyed to learn that the Hermits loved making minigames, and instantly took to trying them out and making his own.
Fundy makes a blender and makes a smoothie stall in the shopping district. The Hermits make sure to tell him he has to pay for the land, but decide since it is small Fundy only has to pay five diamonds instead of a full block.
Fundy starts to breed berry bushes and makes different kinds of berries.
Since griefing isn't allowed on the Hermitcraft server, Fundy makes random shit and blows it up. This is very much a coping mechanism for him, but also a bit sad since he finds the sounds of explosions comforting.
Fundy is hired by the Boomers, and has a blast learning different ways to let off tnt.
Fundy loses his mind when he meets Xisuma, because holy shit that is the creator of bedwars and bedwars is talked about a lot on the DSMP.
He promptly faints when he learns that Xisuma is in fact Xisuma Bedwars, Purpled Bedwars' dad. Thank you hostilemuppet for this headcanon.
The fact the End is open also freaks Fundy out, so you can imagine his shock when he saw that full sets of netherite, elytras, and shulkers were casually for sale.

“ You’re lying!” “ Listen here I already have a boyfriend. And he’s the most loving, caring, kind-hearted, sweet person I have ever met! Why the hell would I go talking to your husband!” “ You lying little bi**h. I know you want to steal him away. I can’t let that happen. No hard feelings right?”
she looked at you, her words dripping with venom and before you could react she pushed you down the stairs.

when it was time to leave you skipped out followed by Leo
you where walking down the stairs explaining about modern libraries when you slipped and fell backwards hitting your head on the step
Leo couldn’t catch you
the last thing you remember is Leonardo’s worried face
you woke up in your bed
you looked around the room
suddenly you felt the blanket shift a bit
as you lifted it Lumiere crawled out
he nudged your cheek and curled up beside you
you pet him for a while and then got up
“ OUCh! Oh Cara mia you’re awake
yup he fell asleep right next to your bed on the floor
you giggled and gently tugged him up and into the bed
you cuddled for a solid 2 hours
Arthur
it was winter
you where walking home after a case
you where talking and laughing
but the ground was icy and as you where walking by the entrance to a building you pointed at something and accidentally slipped
Arthur was looking at what you pointed at when he heard a dull thump a groan and a horrible crack
he whirled around only to see you on the ground, knocked out and a small stream of blood was flowing from your cheek
he immediately scooped you up and ran, all the while beating himself up for not catching you
you woke up in your bed
Arthur was passed out on the bed next to you
you realized your head was bandaged, you had a band-aid on your cheek and your arm was in a sling
when he felt you stir Arthur woke up and hugged you
turns out you blocked most of the fall with your hand so you didn’t break your head, and managed to get away with a concussion, but your left arm payed the price because now it was broken
This doctor was worried sick
Theo
Theoooooo mah boi
you just finished up at one of Theo’s art exhibition? displays? showcases? i don’t know, just imagine the correct version here
he had just made a really good deal and he was visibly happy
you two chatted as you walked outside
as you reached the bottom and where standing there waiting for a carriage, a rabid dog jumped out of the bush and attacked you knocking you to the ground
Theo couldn’t catch you he was to busy getting the dog to leave
you hit your head on the last step really hard and within a few moments you lost conciseness
You woke up in your bed the next day (or so you thought)
Theo was sitting next to you holding your hand
he pulled you into a tight hug
“ Silly Y/N scarring me like this.”
you broke free from his bear hug, only to pull your lover into a passionate kiss
when you pulled away he stared into your eyes
Theo’s not the type to convert his emotions into words he prefers actions and the way he’s looking at you now melts your heart and you know how much he worried about you
“Thank you for taking care of me Theo. I’m a little sleepy now but can you stay a while” he snorted “ Wasn’t a day and a half enough for you” buuut he’s a cutie so he crawled into bed with you and held you close as you fell asleep
*Me writing a part for Theo*: yes yes let’s make Theo’s favorite animal into the villain of this. ok and then let’s traumatize him by making you sleep for a long time. AAAAHHHHAHAHAHA I’m so evil. Ok so now that i have that out of my system let’s make this the sappiest of them all. OML I LOVE HIM
Dazai
Dazai and you where walking from the gazebo after *caught* things *caught*
no I’m kidding you had a tea party and made rhymes about little dolls and bird and playgrounds
you cute little dorks I love you so much
Sebas was watering the plants there a few minutes ago and it got onto the steppes
Dazai was busy making ridiculously stupid dad jokes and you where laughing your head off
sadly you didn’t notice the puddle and slipped on it banging your head on the step
the last thing you remember was Dazai wrapping his arms around you and lifting you up whispering “ I got you little bird”
you woke up in your bed in the evening
Dazai was right next to you stroking your hair
“ Good morning, Toshiko-san!” you couldn’t help but laugh
Dazai was worried about you but he likes to live his life by the saying: Laughter is the best medicine
Vincent
you when to a church because Vincent wanted to paint it
however once he finished most of it he decided it was missing something
something that could immediately turn any plain picture into a beautiful masterpiece
you
he asked you to model and you gladly agreed
you sat on the steppes and let Vincent paint you
once he was finished you jumped up and started hurrying down the stairs to see how it looked
unfortunately you slipped on one of the worn down steps and fell back banging you head and blacking out
Vincent saw this and rushed up to you
he was beside himself
he already has trouble dealing with emotions, and he just saw your life flash before his eyes
baby boy is traumatized
he picked you up and since he couldn’t carry it ditched the paining and ran to the nearest carriage
you woke up with Vincent by your side
he held your hand and smiled gently
“You’re awake thank God!”
you asked about the painting and he said he just left it there
needles to say you felt horrible so you asked if you could go back
he laughed saying it’s probably gone but complied
surprisingly the painting was still there
Napoleon
you where fencing
it was all fun and games
you would try your best and Leon would disarm you with ease
sometimes he would let you win by dropping the foil very obviously and saying something stupid like Oh no nunuce you got me again
either way it would always result in him picking you up and tickling you
at one point you where standing near the stairs
you where trying to disarm him and didn’t notice them
you stepped back and tripped and fell hitting your head on one of the stairs
the former emperor of France felt his blood chill
he had never seen something scarier then you passed out on the stairs
in a flash he was by your side scooped you up and ran into the house
you woke up a few hours later and sitting right next to you, squeezing your hand like there is no tomorrow, was Napoleon
Honestly he looked like he had aged 50 years
but as son as you made eye contact all that disappeared as if it wasn’t even there to begin with
He hugged you and semi scolded you for being a nunuce and scaring him
Jean
My apology for this one instead of stairs I used a horse. Also based on a true story, sorta. I didn’t have Jean.😢😂
soldier boy
so you where riding with Jean one day
you loved these little outings
the way the wind whipped your hair and the landscape rushed past you as you rode into the sunset
romantic I know
but you have to remember that this also has it’s dangers...
that day you stayed out a bit longer then usual
the sun had already set when you decided it was time to go
so you started making your way back through the dark forest
suddenly a fox dashed across the rode and scared your horse
it reared and trashed an threw you off it’s back
you hit your head and blacked out
you woke up the next morning in Jean’s bed
he himself sat beside you
he had his eye patch off and he had bags under his eyes
it was clear he stayed up all night ( he was that worried)
you felt guilty
you got up and hugged him against your chest caressing his hair
he sighed “ I was so worried about you mademoiselle“
you giggled at the name “ I’m sorry monsieur“
he looked up at you lovingly, deep purple eyes shining
he reached up to cup your cheek as you threaded your hand through his hair and you both met in a passionate kiss
Me: YOU MAY KISS THE BRIDE!!!!!! *sigh* I have lost my mind i case you haven’t noticed
Mozart
tsundere baby
Mozart had just finished one of his performances
and of coarse he killed it
since the place was not that far from the mansion you decided to walk to spare Mozart’s stomach
you where walking and you spotted something you stopped and excitedly pointed at it
Mozart rolled his eyes and kept going “You already have a plushie”
you playfully pouted but ran to catch up to him
suddenly a carriage rolled past you really close and scared you
you lost you balance and fell, hitting your head on the steppes of the building on your right
Mozart wheeled around and saw you on the ground
he cursed himself for not being next to you,
he quickly picked you up and ran
You woke up the next day
Mozart was right next to you
“ This is why I hate carriages”
you burst out laughing and hugged him
he hugged you back and then slowly placed you back onto the bed
he then knelt down and brought up a bag and placed on your lap
you looked into the bad and in it was the plushie you where looking at before the accident
“ I thought it might make you feel better” the blush was visible on his cheeks
“ Oh, Mozart!” you threw your arms around him yet again “ I love it. I love you.” He buried his face in the crook of your neck, breathing in your scent “I love you too”
Isaac
you where at the university
Isaac had finished his lectures and was surprised to see you there
or at least that was what he thought he looked like in actuality
he was flustered, and was stuttering, palm sweating a little
the kids (let’s call them that ok, they’re babies compared to Isaac anyway) got a kick out of that and where snickering in the background
you where standing on the steppes when a little girl, who you figured was someones sibling came rushing up to you
now you where standing facing each other and this girl came in between the two of you pushing you in the process
you lost your balance and hit your head on the railing of the stairs and then crumpled to the ground
all you heard was screams and then nothing
you woke up that evening and the second you opened your eyes Isaac had you wrapped up in his arms and was holding you against his chest
“ Do you have any idea how worried I was! Thank God you’re awake”
you cupped his cheek and pulled him into a kiss
once you pulled away you smiled up at the now very flustered Isaac
“ Thank you for taking care of me Isaac!”
he mumbled a ‘you’re welcome’
you laughed and hugged him
Sebastian
so the two of you cuties where grocery shopping
you where finishing up and walking out laughing and talking
all of a sudden you heard screams from inside the store
you turned around only to see a man running at you at full speed
you didn’t have time to react
he knocked into you and sent your stuff flying and you tumbling down the stairs
you hit your head hard
the last thing you remember was Sebastian desperately calling your name
you woke up in your room and Sebastian pulled you into a hug and kissed you deeply
nah just kidding
*flick*Don’t ever do that again” “ DID YOU JUST FLICK MY FOREHEAD?!
he smiled sweetly and kissed your forehead right where he flicked it
“I’m saying this because I was worried about you” “ Well that changes things”
you both laughed and then you cuddled
bless Comte for giving Sebas the rest of the day off so you could cuddle
William Shookspear
You where actually on stage
From the start of your relationship Will knew you loved acting
So one day he decided to let you audition and you got the main part
shocker
jkjk you where a great actress
The play began and you killed it
absolutely blew everyone away
at the end you rushed backstage to meet your boyfriend
he was there smiling at you
it was honestly the sweetest, brightest smile you had ever sen him give you
you rushed down the steppes, but your dress got caught in a nail and yanked you back
you lost your balance and fell backwards
you immediately lost consciousness
you woke up in his room
he was sitting beside you with a worried expression
he asked if you where feeling alright and when you said you felt fine he let out a sigh of relief
“ Did I do good Will?” you asked timidly
he smiled brushed back your hair and planted a kiss to your forehead
“ You where amazing”
That’s it! I really hope you enjoyed! Stay safe out there!

I found a Chinese BL Warring States Game of Thrones, three years older than The Untamed
And I just had to write a review about it! It’s 60 episodes long so I haven’t finished it yet at the time I’m writing this - but I decided to just go ahead and recommend it anyway.
Why, you ask?
For one, it’s Romance of the Three Kingdoms with all the Hollywood action and adult HBO things. It’s got explosions:
Horses falling down:
People getting flogged:
Sweaty soldiers getting mauled to death:
Children used as hostages:
Dead bodies presented in court:
Stylish dye jobs:
Loving father figures:
A Jon Snow lookalike:
And very gay innuendo:
That’s right, unlike The Untamed, which was first written as a straight series featuring Wen Qing as the main female lead and then rewritten again after fans of the novel decided to boycott it, this series was written to be gay from the very beginning. It got taken down by the Chinese Censorship Board after twelve episodes and river-crabbed to death, but a good number of scenes survived censorship. Those that did not made it to BiliBili in the form of “hidden” videos and disguised as “music videos”.
That’s not all. For a warring period Wuxia series, it’s got very beautiful actors, backdrops and clothing. It’s dressed like a fairy tale, with different kingdoms sporting different colours and styles in fashion and tastes.
In terms of art direction, it’s pretty low-budget for a series but the team makes good use of existing props, locations and brighter-coloured fabric to make up for the quality. The costume design is more fantasy-based than period, and the vivid takes and angles in the first season add to its charm.
There’s also its complex story line, which brings us to...
Men with Swords is not a title for the faint-hearted. There is an acute absence of black-and-white morality depicted in it.
If you think a BL series with such beautiful backdrops and fairytale-like clothes is for the simple-minded, one-track-good-vs-evil sort, think again. The series is a tale about Murong Li, a vengeful prince disguised as a musician and his rise to power, leaving behind a trail of death and destruction in its wake.
Where The Untamed fails at delivering gray morality unlike the novel it’s adapted from, choosing to alter its script to fit a more general audience (a commercially-wise decision which got it into Netflix), Men with Swords succeeds in faithfully telling a tale where there is no good or evil, only humanity, jealousy, grudges, rebellion, loyalty, life, death, greed and love.
Everyone has both good and bad sides, just different camps and motives. Men with Swords tells the story from not just one person’s perspective, but from the perspective of many different people, all of whom become entangled in a battle for their figurative Iron Throne - to become the king of the world.
There are no “what ifs” in this story, only decisions, reactions and repercussions
A prevailing theme in this series is that there are no “what ifs” and no turning back in life, only things that have happened and will happen. Murong Li starts his journey as a prince who has lost everything and a victim of war, wandering around for three years while being put down and getting sexually harassed, eventually losing it, taking his chances and hardening his heart as he walks down his conniving, badass path of destruction towards the top.
Men with Swords is not a series for the faint-hearted. It’s a game of chess where the main character, Murong Li, is cunning and decisive, cold and ruthless and many recurring characters die horrible, sudden deaths, friend and foe alike, a la Attack on Titan.
The series is filled with political strife and warfare, peppered with some sweet, comedic and romantic undertones. There is a stark contrast between fluffy and dark in its narrative, which is pretty refreshing overall.
With that all aside, I know what you’re probably scrolling down for:
The main characters and their boyfriends
This is it. This is what you’re here for. Most “BL” series are actually bromances, but the real upside for a BL fan is that this show is not a bromance - it’s a BL title, and even with censorship, the love stories prevail.
I’m going to put this under a cut because it’s LONG AF, but what that means is that there is a LOT of BL content available, and not the type that you have to hunt for. They’re very open about it.
While the show itself has a lot of ships, there’s a larger focus on three main ones, namely the beautiful Murong Li and two powerful kings, the fairy-like Ling Guang and his servants, and King Jian Bin with his general.
Murong Li: Da Ji 2.0 and his rich and powerful kings
If you’re a Jin Guangyao fan, you’ll probably enjoy Murong Li and his elegant, charming viles and ruthless scheming. He’s a surprisingly good fighter too, and unlike most elegant and waif-like beauties in dramas and novels alike, he’s a beauty with brains who uses his physical weakness as his strength, bending and seducing his way up to power.
Murong Li only really goes after rich and powerful people, worming his way into the kingdom and taking them down from the inside. Two main love interests are King Zhi Ming, the childish but rich king of Tianquan:
And Yu Xiao, a powerful barbarian king with a soft heart:
Murong Li, while wandering around as a musician, picks up many tricks along the way to hone himself. He’s adept at dressing up, making himself look helpless and alluring to bewitch powerful men, for one:
See that small smile right there? Yes, our boy knows what he’s doing.
Aside from that, Murong Li’s also pretty good at manipulating people by using their jealousies and insecurities, getting them to fight with each other over him.
Murong Li, although modeled after the cruel and beautiful Murong Chong, the Emperor of Wei, is likened to Da Ji, the favorite consort of the King Zhou of Shang. Da Ji was said to be a malevolent fox spirit who started the art of foot-binding to hide her fox feet. Everyone else looking in can see it, but the King was blinded, just like Murong Li’s powerful love interests. In fact, the series draws a direct parallel to it:
The Guo Shi here uses the term “yao”, which alludes to a malevolent spirit.
It’s not that Murong Li doesn’t have a weakness, though. Just like every Jin Guangyao has a Lan Xichen around to cause him to slip now and then, Murong Li surprisingly is weak towards the most naive and childish character in the series, the truant King Zhi Ming, whose only qualities are having purple bangs and being rich and playful.
No matter how calculative and ruthless Murong Li is in the series, he does end up almost slipping up and giving everything away when it comes to this bumbling fellow:
He’s saved only at the nick of time by one of his followers. Murong Li tells a lot of lies, but the one thing he can’t lie about are his feelings towards King Zhi Ming, who is ultimately the one thing he can’t give up next to his kingdom.
There’s a lot more one can write about a complex character such as Murong Li, but the second ship is just as good. It features:
Ling Guang: The Ex-Arrogant Depressed Hamster hung up over a dead ex
Ling Guang, the mortal enemy and foil to Murong Li, is a baby-faced, very-much-older-than-he-looks character whose sole purpose in this series is to wear frilly magenta clothing, destroy the kingdom of Yaoguang, set Murong Li down a path of vengeful destruction and piss off eligible, probably younger bachelors by comparing them to his very handsome, very loyal and very dead boyfriend, his personal guard, Qiu Zhen, who died sometime over thirteen years ago.
The bachelors’ pissed off takes to this are particularly priceless:
Here’s another one from season 2:
That HMPH face is to die for.
Ling Guang’s delusions are met head-on by these eligible bachelors, his ministers and his allies alike:
Only to be met by a, “haha, NO.”
Frustrating, right? It only gets worse as the series progresses. Due to Wuxia’s fantastical existence of sword souls, he begins to actively test his subjects out to see if they’re his dead boyfriend, whose sword soul is still alive:
Gu Shi’an: WTF.
So why do these eligible, handsome bachelors, particularly this guy from season two, jump at his lap every chance they get?
First off, he’s very, very pretty. He’s arguably the prettiest and fanciest king in the series, with a cute rounded face, favoring fluffy organza, frills and feathers in his garb, and sporting fabulous curls like that of a swan princess on a good day.
Secondly, and more importantly, it’s likely because he’s the type loyal dogs adore.
He’s stupidly and openly attached to his bodyguards and servants, unable to hide his feelings or control them. Ling Guang’s relationships are technically the opposite of Murong Li’s. While Murong Li hides his feelings and goes after men of power and tends to use them before leaving them, Ling Guang’s willing to sacrifice everything, including his kingdom, his health and his own life for men who are merely servants.
He's a king who doesn’t know proper protocol. He’s the type who’ll demand to eat with you at the same table:
Creeps outside the palace to see you off:
Hugs your sword around like a pillow while he waddles around listlessly and sleeps with it by his side after you’re long dead (grand total: 13 years):
Coddles you when you’re sick:
Takes arrows for you:
Isn’t afraid to cry and tell you how it is:
Faints violently and won’t rest until he can get your stolen body back:
The results?
If he’s not what loyal bodyguards like, I don’t know what he is. If Murong Li’s love interests have to pit themselves against each other to show how useful they are for his sake, Ling Guang’s love interests need to wrestle with a dead man he can’t let go of... which is hopeless, because you can’t kill a guy who’s already dead.
As a foil to Murong Li, what’s also interesting to note is that it’s alluded to and foreshadowed that he’s exactly the sort the loyal Yu Xiao, the current barbarian king, would have loved to have as a lover - honest, loyal and doting - unlike Murong Li himself. Gongsun Qian, a deputy minister with great foresight, had wanted Ling Guang to go to see the new barbarian kingdom, but he had refused to go outside the palace, shutting himself inside like an otaku. This decision ultimately gave Murong Li a step forward with his plans, at the great cost of four kingdoms, including his own.
Jian Bin: My boyfriend can (REALLY) fight
Next up is Jian Bin and his general. Jian Bin’s the king of Tian Ji, a new kingdom founded by astrologers. The catch here is that Jian Bin and his boyfriend, Qi Zhi Kan, are both men of science, and this tank of a boyfriend is a genius on the battlefield who doesn’t give a single shit about star signs, astrology and superstitions.
A story between a serious, loving king and his handsome general who was once a simple sword-maker in the woods, King Jian Bin meets his handsome ex-lumberjack boyfriend when he’s attacked, falls down from his horse and is rescued by the man himself.
Jian Bin then brings the guy back to his palace and dresses him in armor:
This puts the king’s general on the war path of several ministers and the superstitious people in their kingdom. As lovers, the two go through various trials together in an attempt to run their kingdom their way.
Qi Zhi Kan may seem like a herbivore in front of the king, but he’s really not one at all. He’s terrifying to a degree when it comes to warfare, and very, very difficult to take down. Unlike the other ministers, Qi Zhi Kan knows that he can expand the kingdom quickly and solve problems by waging war.
Even his allies are scared of him:
Ultimately, it’s a ship meant for those who like watching the king teasing his loyal subject and caressing armor whenever he’s around AND not around. Jian Bin even admits to it on-scene:
This loving and devoted couple were originally blessed as the ones with the most piggyback scenes, tender bandaging-your-chest and armor fondling, but they got censored unfortunately.
Scenes like these made the cut, though:
And that’s it! There are actually other minor ships, but these are the main ones for now.
If you’re sold and interested in the show, the series is available online on Rakuten Viki. https://www.viki.com/tv/35524c?locale=zh

{Image Sources: Dong Hua: https://daydaynews.cc/en/entertainment/419895.html Fengjiu: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/1196337391276429/}
The family of three deities had bid adieu to their relatives in Quingqui and taken the magical boat to Bihai Cangling. Dijun and Fengjiu had both managed to handle their respective duties and arranged for messengers to visit them here at their new place of residence, actually their real home, for the next few months. They were all very excited about it.
Fengjiu was remembering their last visit fondly. The last time she had been here, she had spent some magical time with Dijun.
Dijun was also remembering his last visit. But there wasn’t any fondness in those memories for him. He had been there was to build the Star Light ward. He had not expected to come back alive to this place, much less to come back alive with his wife and son. He looked at Xiaobai and marveled at her. It had been her who had saved him and saved his home. She was the best. He lovingly played with her hair.
Gungun saw that they were about to reach to a beautiful landscape, the likes of which he had never seen. “Father, your home is so beautiful. It’s even better than the Sky Kingdom!”, he exclaimed clapping excitedly.
“Gungun’s reaction to Bihai Cangling is just like yours when you came here for the first time.”, said Dijun smilingly to Xiaobai. "It's your home too, Gungun. It’s our home.", he added. He liked the sound of that very much.
Xiaobai noticed that a lot had changed since she had last visited. Row of fruit trees and vines had been planted - grapefruits, pears and grapes. There was a long corridor with an artificial hill. The hill really looked like a real rocky mountain, just smaller than a mountain. On either side of the corridor there were beautiful trees of foiling flowers. Spiritual birds danced to ‘paying homage to the Phoenix’ near by.
Then there was a pavilion overlooking a lotus pond. White and pink lotuses swayed gracefully in a cool breeze there. White sandalwood on each side of the pavilion gave the seating area a perfect cover from sun.
Xiaobai recalled her own words from the last time she had visited. Dijun had done everything she had asked for. She was transfixed.
When they walked a little further, her jaw dropped to the floor. Sitting atop a slightly raised platform was a house. Not just any house - the bamboo house she had drawn! Oh, Dijun!!!! She stood dumbfounded with tears in her eyes.
Dijun realized she had stopped walking and turned around. When he saw her face he asked with worry, “What’s wrong? Did I mess it up?” Forgetting about Gungun watching them, she ran forward and hugged him. She buried herself in his arms and said, “No, Dijun. No mess up. This is perfect. You made our home. Our home!” She choked on her emotions and couldn’t say anything else. Dijun smiled and planted a kiss on her head.
Gungun was watching all this and came running. “Mother and Father are kissing again. I want a kiss too.”, he giggled. Dijun picked him up and twirled him high. His giggles and Dijun’s laughter filled the space. And Xiaobai’s heart. They were home.
When they went inside, Xiaobai realized that all the basic things they had planned for, had been done. There was a study, a living room and a well-lit, well ventilated kitchen. The large kitchen window overlooked the fruit trees. There were two identical rooms - one for Gungun and another for his little brother/ sister, as Dijun explained, his eyes hinting mischievously. It made Gungun very excited to think that he would have a playmate. Then there were a couple guest rooms. Dijun and Xiaobai’s room was a spacious suite with a large bed. A foiling flower tree was the headboard of that bed. They even had a nice little hot spring next to their room.
“Dijun, the house is great, but there’s still work to do. We have to set up the kitchen, the wardrobes and such.”, began Xiaobai. “If I do everything, what will you do?”, he interrupted her, pretending to be arrogant and tapped her forehead. Then he leaned in and whispered in her ears “But I have already done so much work here. You owe me big this time. I will collect my dues from you at night.” Seeing her cheeks instantly color up pleased him.
There was a balcony behind their room. It overlooked a large playground with targets set up for practicing archery, an open space for sword plays and martial arts. On one side was another building. “That is a workshop where we can forge weapons. I have also placed all the weapons I have made or collected in a room in there. I am sure you will like it.”, said Dijun. She looked at him with pride in her eyes. Dijun felt that all his efforts had been completely worth it.
“I am so hungry, mother. When can we eat?”, asked Gungun. “You and Father can put your things in your rooms. I will quickly get food ready.”, said Xiaobai patting him. They all went their separate directions and got busy.
After some time they all got together in the dining room and ate a simple but delicious meal. Fengjiu had found that right next to the kitchen was a vegetable and herb garden. She had picked some fresh veggies to prepare rice porridge and mushrooms-vegetables stir fry. Some lentil cakes rounded up the meal. She had always been good in cooking. Her years in mortal realm had helped her perfect the art of making do with whatever was available.
After they cleared up all the food, Fengjiu wanted to go to her room and take a nap. But Dijun insisted they go to the lotus pond and catch some fish. She almost suspected that he wanted to keep her away from their bedroom. “May be he has made a mess in there with all the stuff. I better not go in there or else I will end up cleaning everything myself.”, she thought to herself as she followed her guys to the pond. When they got there, she rested her head in Dijun’s lap and dozed off happily.
She woke up a little while later when tiny hands were trying to tap on her head. "Mom, wake up! Look I caught a fish!! My first ever fish!!!", Gungun was showing off with eyes wide with excitement. She couldn't help by smile at him. "I will make sweet and sour fish for dinner tonight with this. You both like it, don't you?" She said. Two heads full of silver hair nodded in fervent agreement. "Like father - like son", she chuckled.
She completely lost herself in cooking dinner. In addition to sweet and sour fish, she also made sticky rice and soup. "For Dijun and Gungun. They need this nourishment.", she told herself. All this was gobbled up pretty quickly between the three of them.
After dinner they took off for a long walk that led them back to the weapon forge. Dijun took them in and Fengjiu was like a kid in the candy store. She enjoyed designing and creating mechanical weapons. Among other things, this was something she and Dijun had in common. Gungun was quite curious and looked around with amazement. But he was slowly beginning to get tired and needed to get to bed. So they all returned homewards.
"You take him to his room and get him ready for bed. I will bring him a glass of milk. He will sleep well with that.", said Dijun. Fengjiu nodded and walked away holding Gungun's little hand. In his room, she helped him bathe and change. They both were happy they didn't need to dye his hair anymore. As she was settling him in his bed, Dijun came in with a glass on milk in his hand. He made sure Gungun finished it up. Then they both dimmed the candles, kissed Gungun sweet dreams and left the room.
When they reached the doorstep of their bedroom, Dijun gestured Fengjiu to stop. "What's wrong?", asked Fengjiu puzzled. "Close your eyes.", ordered Dijun. "Why should I?", replied Fengjiu more puzzled. "Please, Xiaobai. Do as you are told.", Dijun coaxed her. So she sighed and closed her eyes. "You are acting very weird tonight.", she said.
She found herself being lifted in his arms. She felt the door opening and he walking in with her.
"Can I open my eyes now?" Feng Jiu asked. "Not yet, just a little bit longer.", Dijun replied. She could feel the smile in his voice.
"What's going on? I am opening my eyes now." She nagged him anxiously as she felt herself being lowered on something extremely soft.
"Wait. Just a few more moments.", Dijun replied as he adjusted her clothes. "Okay, you can open your eyes now.", he said.
She was so not ready for what she was seeing. The room had been transformed. It looked like a bride's chamber on a wedding night. There was an altar placed for heaven worship ceremony. Gold, white and purple lanterns adorned the ceiling. Matching candles, flower arrangements and curtains hung everywhere. Every seat in the room and the whole bed was covered in foiling flower petals. She was draped in her wedding gown. And then as she turned towards Dijun she saw that he himself was looking extremely handsome in his wedding attire. Nothing in the room was nearly as mesmerizing as the sight of the regal man himself. He took her breath away and she could not help but stare at him open mouthed.
"I never gave you a proper wedding. I have regretted that very much.", he said huskily as he walked towards her with a purple veil. "Tonight, let's get married, Xiaobai.", he said softly as he came close and arranged the veil over her hair. She didn't know what to say or do. She was completely under his spell.
He led her by her hand towards the altar. They kowtowed to the heaven and earth. They remembered her parents and kowtowed for them. Then they bowed to each other. Very carefully he lifted her veil and took her hands in his.
"In all three eternities you are the only one who has moved my heart, Xiaobai. You, little fox, will always belong to me.", he looked deeply into her eyes and promised possessively.
She smiled with stars in her eyes and promised him back, "In any eternity I will bring you in my life. Because I love you the most Dijun, you will always belong to me."
He leaned in and planted kisses on her face. He kissed her hair, her forehead, her eyes, her nose and then covered her lips with his. He felt her respond to him and deepened the kiss. She trembled and moved closer in his arms. Slowly he moved to her ear. "Ever since I have had this dress made for you, I have imagined so many ways I would like to undress you from it.", he teased huskily. "Um? So you got this elaborate and extravagant dress made only so that you could undress me from it?", she asked pulling back and squinting her eyes at him. "HHmm.. ", he pursed his lips and nodded solemnly. "You are so... ", she started to say, but completely lost her train of thought under his hot, hungry gaze. He claimed her lips again and started undressing her.

our hands reaching out
[Modern setting Xicheng, very Lan Xichen centric. I also posted on my AO3 if you prefer reading there]
-
Two weeks after Jiang Yanli dies, Jiang Cheng disappears. He takes Jin Ling and simply leaves his house, his friends and family behind.
He did not say a word, not even a call, a message to anyone.
Jiang Fengmian and Madam Yu stop looking after a month, Wei Wuxian takes a while longer and Jin Guangshan even more. Lan Xichen is ashamed to admit he did not help them, simply trusted that Jiang Cheng needed some time alone, that he would come back to them once he was ready.
A year pass and then three, five, six , and nothing changes. And, just like that, Lan Xichen has to face the utmost truth – Jiang Cheng is gone for good , and Lan Xichen doesn't know him as well as he thought.
–
Lan Xichen doesn't drink. He doesn't have the same problem as his brother, but he doesn't particularly enjoy the taste, but it is said that drinking helps one forget and tonight he just wants to forget everything.
Seven years. At this point he spent more time without Jiang Cheng than with him. So why is it so hard to forget? Why is it so hard to move on?
He takes another sip of the whiskey, lets out a humorless laugh. He knows why, it is in his blood. When Lans fall in love, they love forever . Why would Lan Xichen be any different?
He throws caution to the wind, decides seven years is enough and he deserves to have this drink and the next one and perhaps that entire bottle of tequila the bartender offered when he arrived.
It all hurts too much, his head, his body, his heart . He just wants to forget.
–
When he wakes up, the first thing he notices is the sunlight through the curtains. Lan Xichen closes his eyes, pulls the covers over his face and groans.
He supposes he deserves this, he knew what he was getting into, after all. But then the nausea hits and he has to scramble towards the bathroom. And that's when he realizes he is not in his house.
–
“Take this.” Wei Wuxian says, placing a painkiller and a glass of water in front of him. “Trust me, it helps.” He smiles and Lan Xichen feels like covering his eyes, his smile is that blinding.
Wangji sits next to his husband, watching Lan Xichen the entire time. He said good morning when Lan Xichen walked down the stairs and nothing else, but his eyes are worried, Lan Xichen can see and feels guilt settling in his chest when he realizes he caused this.
“I'm sorry.” Lan Xichen says. He has no idea how he ended up at his brother's house, supposes someone must have recognized him and called Wangji – he's thankful they didn't call his uncle. “I'll leave you as soon as I'm feeling better.”
He watches as his brother and his husband trade a worried glance, feels uneasy when Wei Wuxian finally sighs and turns back to him, expression filled with guilt.
“Xichen-ge,” he says, “do you remember anything from last night?”
Lan Xichen arches an eyebrow and forces himself to think about the bar, the countless glasses of alcohol he consumed. He remembers bits and pieces, a glass falling to the ground, a confused yell, his brother's face, tears . His own?
“I –” he shakes his head, ashamed, “not much.”
Wei Wuxian nods in understanding, but is Wangji who talks first. “Brother called me last night.” He says. “Crying.”
Oh, no. Lan Xichen closes his eyes, runs a hand over his face. This is humiliating.
“I am truly sorry.” He reaches out for his brother's hand, feels his heart swelling with affection when Wangji accepts the touch easily. Wei Wuxian really changed him, Lan Xichen couldn't be prouder of how far his little brother has come.
Wangji nods. “Brother,” he adds, “you're in love with Jiang Wanyin.” He says, as upfront as always. Lan Xichen startles so badly, he pulls his hand back, a gasp escaping his lips.
“I –” it is clear they won't believe him if he tries to deny, and what good would that make? He can blame the high levels of alcohol in his blood, but in reality, this is a secret he was tired of keeping, “yes, I am. Still.” He admits, finally. If only he could have done that sooner.
This time it is Wei Wuxian who takes his hand. “I'm sorry, Xichen-ge. If only I knew .” There are tears in his eyes and he notices Wangji's hand on his back, supportive, loving .
“Wei Wuxian, there is nothing to be sorry for.” He tries his best to give him a reassuring smile. This is not his fault. “He left and –”
“No, it's not that!” Wei Wuxian shakes his head frantically, takes his phone and forces Lan Xichen to hold it. “Xichen-ge,” he points at the phone, “I know where he is.”
Baffled, Lan Xichen blinks down at the phone in his hands, almost drops it when he finally sees the photo.
Lan Xichen thought about him almost every day, dreamed about Jiang Cheng's smile, his beautiful eyes, but in his imagination, Jiang Cheng still looks the same as he did when he was eighteen. That same mischievous smile, the annoyed expression that Lan Xichen always found endearing.
This picture – this is the real Jiang Cheng. Older, hair longer, his smile isn't as big as it used to be, but he looks happy as he waves at the camera, holding a little boy that Lan Xichen assumes is Jin Ling.
Oh , gods. Lan Xichen collapses on the closest chair, holding the phone so tightly it could break. “How?”
Wei Wuxian sniffles audibly, sits on the chair next to him. “I'll tell you.”
–
“He wanted to leave, even before-” Wei Wuxian trails off. Lan Xichen nods, he's always known how hard it was for Jiang Cheng at his house, his relationship with his parents toeing the line between neglect and abuse. He never voiced his complaints but it was obvious to anyone who was close enough to see. Especially when they knew his siblings as well.
Jiang Yanli getting married, Wei Wuxian going to college and all but moving in with Lan Wangji only worsened Jiang Cheng's situation.
“And when jiejie died,” ha pauses, closing his eyes as more tears begin to fall, “he knew Jin Guangshan would try to take Jin Ling away. We all know he tried.” Lan Xichen nods, Jin Guangshan went insane when Jiang Cheng vanished, there are rumors about him cursing at his servants, throwing furniture around and then getting drunk for days. But there was nothing he could do, really. Jiang Cheng is Jin Ling's legal guardian, the police wouldn't accept his attempts at reporting the boy missing.
He says as much out loud and Wei Wuxian nods. “That's where Jin Guangyao walks in.” Lan Xichen frowns. “Jin Guangshan hired a private detective, one of the best, but he never actually met with him. It was always Jin Guangyao.”
That is the part that always confused him. Jiang Cheng isn't a spy or a master of disguise, a private detective could have found them, but nothing came back despite Jin Guangshan's many attempts.
“Without Jin Ling, Jin Guangshan had no heir, except for Jin Guangyao.” Wei Wuxian explains and Lan Xichen closes his eyes again. He was so stupid, how could he not have noticed it before? After Jin Guangshan died, Jin Guangyao did inherit most of his assets. He turned the company around, practically doubled their profits in a year and is living happily in his mansion.
He stopped looking for Jin Ling as soon as Jin Guangshan was cremated and they never talked about it. Lan Xichen still trying to mend his broken heart and Jin Guangyao, he had assumed, had given up after trying for all those years.
It all makes sense, except for – “so how do you –” he asks and watches as Wei Wuxian lowers his head. Lan Xichen has never seen him like this before.
“I've always known.” He admits finally, voice small and shy. Lan Xichen takes a deep breath, closes his eyes to try and calm himself. He feels the anger bubbling inside him, closes his fists so tight he feels his nails prickling the palms of his hands.
“Wei Wuxian –” he says, takes a look at his brother, feeling wronged, betrayed. Wangji looks as confused as he feels and Lan Xichen understands then, that he also didn't know. Seven years married and Wei Wuxian kept this a secret from him as well.
“I'm – I'm not sorry about lying.” Wei Wuxian says, raising his head and giving them a defying look. “I made a promise to my brother.” He points out, turning to Wangji. Lan Xichen knows from the look on Wangji's face that his brother has already forgiven him. And he also knows – deep inside his heart – that there is nothing to forgive in the end.
There is nothing he wouldn't do for his brother, after all.
“I am sorry for not noticing before.” Wei Wuxian insists. “If only I knew you are in love with him – Xichen-ge, if only I –”
“Brother hid it very well.” Wangji interrupts, taking Wei Wuxian's hand but keeping his eyes on Lan Xichen. He doesn't sound angry, never does. His eyes are soft, but there's sadness in them.
Wangji feels sorry for him. Gods, how pitiful.
“Wei Wuxian,” Lan Xichen says after a moment, suddenly feeling like he's aged twenty years in the span of an hour. He's so tired of running from his feelings, hiding them because he's afraid of facing rejection, of losing a friendship. It was his apparent disinterest that led Jiang Cheng to feel backed into a corner, without another option but to run away to protect his most treasured person. Alone, “where is he?”
–
Jin Ling is on the yard when Lan Xichen arrives at the farm. Well, animal sanctuary, he corrects himself. Jiang Cheng was studying to be a vet when Jiang Yanli died and to be able to raise Jin Ling without help, he had to drop out of school.
“He works at an animal sanctuary now.” Wei Wuxian had said, showing him more and more pictures of Jiang Cheng and Jin Ling and the animals he works with – foxes (Wei Wuxian did not save the pictures of the wolves, he admitted, pulling a face), deers.
Lan Xichen is glad that he's still doing something he loves, even if it's not what he always dreamed about.
He parks the car, takes a moment to watch Jin Ling. The boy has a puppy with him and he seems to be teaching it how to play fetch, throwing a purple ball for the puppy to catch. It seems to be going well and Jin Ling always makes sure to give the dog a treat when it brings the ball back.
Lan Xichen startles when a man steps outside the house, waving for Jin Ling to get inside. When the boy doesn't immediately obey, the man goes to him, picks him up and throws him over his shoulder. The boy shrieks with laughter and the puppy follows them, yapping happily.
He doesn't realize he started crying until he feels the tears running down his cheeks.
They look happy, like a real family. A family Jin Ling lost at such a young age, a family Jiang Cheng never really had.
He watches Jin Ling squirm and Jiang Cheng put him down, running a hand over his hair. Jin Ling throws the ball again and when the puppy brings it back he smiles up at his uncle, chest puffing out proudly. Jiang Cheng smiles at him and Lan Xichen can clearly see him mouthing the words 'good job' at his nephew who smiles even brighter and throws himself at him.
Jiang Cheng accepts the hug with ease and Lan Xichen feels his heart swell with love. Oh, how he wishes he could have been there to watch him grow as a parent, to watch this little boy break down all Jiang Cheng's walls and help him accept that affection is something good and not a weakness. That love should be given freely and not earned through excellent grades or good behavior.
Lan Xichen doesn't know how long he stays inside the car, drinking on the sight of Jiang Cheng after so many years. He's a man now, not a eighteen-year old, and all his features are the same but more defined by the years. Lan Xichen stares at his broad shoulders, admires the curve of his neck, the cut of his jaw, gazes up to his mouth and when he reaches his eyes, Lan Xichen finds them looking at him.
–
“Wei Wuxian told you?” It's the first thing Jiang Cheng asks, defensive, when Lan Xichen finally steps out of the car and walks towards him.
“Yes.” He answers, stops a few feet away from them. Jiang Cheng stands in front of Jin Ling protectively, and Lan Xichen feels his heart drop to his stomach. What was he expecting, anyway? “How are you?” He starts, friendly, looks down at Jin Ling and smiles. “Hello.”
“Jin Ling, inside.” Jiang Cheng orders and the boy all but scrambles to obey. Lan Xichen closes his eyes, almost brings a hand to cover his heart. He wasn't expecting to be welcomed with open arms, but he was not expecting this level of hostility either. “What do you –”
“I missed you.” Lan Xichen confesses and watches as Jiang Cheng takes a step back, surprised. “Gods, I missed you so much.” He can't help but reach out to take his hand, to make sure he is really there, so close.
He knows Jiang Cheng will not come back with him, will understand if the other man doesn't ever want to see him again after this, but he waited, hoped, to do this for so long, Lan Xichen cannot help himself.
“You disappeared. It was like you died, Jiang Cheng, I –” he closes his eyes again, when everything feels too much, “I miss you.”
“After all this time?” He hears Jiang Cheng ask, looks at him just to find Jiang Cheng's eyes filled with tears, a mirror of his own. “I never dared to hope you could –”
“Yes.” Lan Xichen answers immediately, steps closer. He doesn't dare pull him into a hug like he's been wanting to, but just this – the warmth of his body so close to Lan Xichen's – is enough. “I love you. I always did.” He lets out. “After all this time – I never stopped.”
Jiang Cheng throws his arms around Lan Xichen's shoulder and collapses against him with a soft sigh. “I missed you, too.” He confesses against Lan Xichen's neck.
All his senses are Jiang Cheng, his voice, his touch, his scent. It is overwhelming in the most perfect way, Lan Xichen never wants to let go. And he never will, he promises himself, makes a mental note to tell Jiang Cheng as much.
Now that he finally found him, he will make sure to keep him forever.

I know a certain Violet Queen who will be happy to see this go up ;p. Here are the basics of CT’s SwapFellPurple!Sans, aka Doc’s relationships.
Undertale Sans/Ace – These two ran into some conflict pretty early on. Doc is used to running things his way, and completely, where as Ace was not backing down. Eventually things settled down, as while Ace was the “leader” and would always have final say, he was also willing to let someone else do most of the work, so long as they worked in his allowed parameters. Doc deals with all the “menial administrative shit” that Ace hates. There is still a little of a grudge there but its at least a grudging acceptance. Undertale Papyrus/Lief – Lief is soft in ways Doc doesn’t always appreciate. While never needlessly cruel, Doc can be demanding, exacting, and abrasive. He expects people to do as they’re told and do so correctly. Lief is a much softer touch and often goes about “consoling” any “hurt feelings” after Doc has made his rounds. This is more than a little frustrating, and Doc often feels undermined. There have been arguments over it, and the two largely avoid directly interacting. Outside of “work” the two can be cordial, and while they will likely never be friends, there isn’t any animosity. Perhaps a little bitterness though.
Underfell Sans/Chisel – Doc doesn’t particularly care one way or another at this point. He doesn’t dislike Chis’s personality, in fact they do have some things in common, and can have decent conversations. There was a time Doc was very put off by the laziness of some of his counter parts, Chisel included, but has since let it go. Chis does work hard when he really needs to and his mechanical knowledge in invaluable. His opinion ultimately sits between appreciate, exasperation, and neutrality. Underfell Papyrus/Spur – These two did butt heads a fair bit at one point, but have since settled in to camaraderie. There was some issues with respective bossiness, both used to being in control. However Spur quickly caught on that he was never really “in charge” in any kind of practical way, and was in no way prepared to be now. While he was used to issuing orders, he had no expedience actually making people work. Once he acknowledged this, and that he had no interest in changing it, they got along much better. They often train and discuss techniques together when Doc has some down time.
Underswap Sans/Scout – Exasperation might be the kindest thing Doc feels for Scout. Very vaguely, distantly, fond exasperation. While he appreciates that Scout can work very hard, he is also frustrated by how erratic and easily distracted he is. It doesn’t help that Scout would sooner laugh than actually do any work he’s given by Doc. Underswap Papyrus/Piper – While there isn’t any particularly strong attachment here, Doc doesn’t mind Pip at all. He’s mostly quiet and largely stays out of Doc’s “circle”. He does his tasks well and is largely non-disruptive, which Doc appreciates.
Swapfell(Red) Sans/Whip – These two get along a lot better than most would expect. Doc has a surprising level of understanding of Whip’s mentality, and knows how to not only manage his moods but work with him on them. While neither would ever admit it, they can be found some mornings being catty gossips over coffee. Swapfell(Red) Papyrus/Coyote – Doc doesn’t mind Coy. When given a task, he does it well, and Doc appreciates that. Most would assume Doc would be annoyed by Coy’s “lack of initiative” but honestly he just see him as being rather ‘lost’ most of the time, something he can understand. While it was never really an issue for him personally, he does understand that the world and their place in it has rather been up-heaved and adjustment can be hard.
Horrortale Sans/Tender – They don’t interact one on one very often but they get along well enough. Doc pushes people and expects a lot, but he also actually quite reasonable and very understanding of different people’s limitations. He understands what Ten can and can’t do, and as the gang’s primary healer he makes sure to keep track of any changes. Tender is somewhat limited, but also very dedicated to what he can do, and Doc appreciates that. Horrortale Papyrus/Cook – Doc appreciates Cook. He has his role, and he does it to the absolute best of his ability without pushing himself too hard, important traits to earn Doc’s respect. They don’t have a ton in common, but they get along amicably.
Swapfell(Purple) Sans/Doc – Doc is confident, self assured, and comfortable. He knows himself, and what he’s capable of. While Underground, Doc never gave much thought to his “self esteem”, keeping a single minded focus on making sure he and Flint had the best they could in any given circumstance. Upon reaching the Surface, he found he was quite satisfied with who he is. He does have the rare moment of insecurity, where he questions whether he actually deserves what he has and is, given his methods were not always the most morally upright, but it doesn’t take long for him to shake this. He did what he could and had to with what was available, and he refuses to apologize for it. Swapfell(Purple) Papyrus/Flint – Things have gotten much better for these two since surfacing. While they were always close, and often codependent, Doc was often also at odds with Flint over Flint’s addictions. It became a matter of “as long as it directly interfere in anyway, I’ll ignore it” for a long time. When reaching the surface, there was a fair bit of arguing but Flint has started getting it together, as many of the stressors he had previously are gone, and Doc is proud of his little brother’s efforts.
Fellswap Gold Sans/Haze – Somewhere between solid friendship and grudging respect. There is a certain measure of playful competition between them, which as Fells can come off at times hateful to the outside eye. However it is something Doc has great fun with, and considers Haze a dear friend. Fellswap Gold Papyrus/Cirrus – Doc doesn’t mind how soft Cirrus is, but Cir does find him a bit intimidating. There is always an expectation that Doc will start bossing Cir around, and while at one point that may have been a possibility, Doc leaves Cir entirely to Haze. He appreciates Cir’s artistic talents, but has little time of his own for such pursuits. There is no dislike but Doc has firmly placed him in a “not my responsibility” box, so as to avoid any conflicts.
Underlust Sans/Shine – These two aren’t friends as far as Doc is concerned, but they do get along somewhat well. There are parts of Shine that grate deeply on Doc, but he is exceptionally clever in regards to all matters of the mind, and Doc can appreciate this. While confident in his own abilities, Doc does occasionally reach out to verify that his approach shouldn’t have adverse effects on the people involved. Underlust Papyrus/Calico – Calico is a strange and enigmatic sort, and Doc is largely ambivalent to him. While he doesn’t especially mind Cali, there is something unsettling to him that puts Doc, who much prefers the concrete to the esoteric, on edge.
Dancetale Sans/Shuffle – Doc and Shuff bond over their mutual like of children and teaching/guiding. They don’t have much else in common but will happily swap tips/stories. Dancetale Papyrus/Foxtrot – Fox is a bit much for Doc. He doesn’t hate him, but his energy is a bit off putting. While he would find his work ethic impressive, his tendency to ignore his own and others limits irritates Doc as it is inefficient. Doc usually just redirects Fox to elsewhere so as not to deal with him more than needed.
Outertale Sans/Saturn – There is no particular feelings either way here for Doc. They don’t see each other often enough for them to develop a bond or aversion. In the rare interaction, Doc doesn’t mind Saturn, and they can make comfortable small talk. Outertale Papyrus/Mercury – An amicable relationship. They don’t see each other often, but Doc doesn’t mind Mer at all, and will hold a decent conversation with him.
Farmtale Sans/Sage – Doc holds no animosity towards Sage. Doc holds not much of anything towards Sage. If his view could be defined in a singular word, it would be “disregard”. Most are surprised to find Doc cares not at all about Sage’s seemingly lazy and resistant nature. The fact of the matter is, Doc doesn’t care. He has completely dismissed Sage as being beneath effort or even notice. It’s not his job to fix Sage, and he doesn’t care to try. Farmtale Papyrus/Thyme – There is a good bit of mutual respect here. While they are careful to avoid the topic of Thyme’s brother, they both greatly appreciate how hard the other works to keep everything moving smoothly in their respective areas. Both also appreciate matters of the home, and the wish they could indulge in the peaceful domestics more often. Doc does often chide Thyme for not balancing work/life more efficiently, and they are as close to friends as they can get given how infrequently they directly interact.
G!Sans/Aurum – This one is a mixed bag. Aurum is impulsive and often unthinking and it drives Doc batty on the rare occasion he has to deal with it directly. Even more infuriating is that things typically just “work out” for Aur, when by all accounts they should not have. Doc views Aur largely as an unruly barely-adult, and must constantly resist the urge to lecture. He normally just would, but Doc has found the task pointless, and it’s much more effective to simply set Vir on him. Despite all this, he can respect Aur’s drive and work ethic, even if he finds it’s direction often questionable. G!Papyrus/Viridis – Friendly, when they manage to see each other. Doc appreciates Vir’s calm and intellectual nature. They often compare research findings and enjoy discussing assorted healing techniques, mundane and magical.
(Two in a day, as I know a certain someone was excited to see this)
