Well, I may be cutting it close for it to count as "today," but here's a long WIP that I finally finished! I say long, but it's actually under 10,000 words. But it's longer than the other stuff I've been doing while stuck at home, so...

GOFUNDME: HELP ME TURN INTO A ROBOT

Target goal: $750,000

After my kin, Alejandro Burromuerto was burned and turned to a robot, I HAD to follow in his footsteps/wheels. As an empath I feel great agony knowing how he felt, but also not being able to experience his feelings. So I've decided I will build a Total Drama Robot replica and place myself inside it for a year.

The asking price for this fundraising project is $750,000. As you can imagine, a robot suit would need advanced technology to remove waste products, feed and hydrate me, mobilize, and of course metal is not cheap. I will require nano solar panels to power the machine as failure of the battery will result in my death. Please understand I wouldn't ask so much of you all for no reason.

Just like my previous fundraisers, there are some perks for those who donate:

$5 - I'll send you a personal message thanking you from inside the robot suit. This message can be anything, from a birthday message to a simple hello

$50 - I'll video call you for ten minutes

$150 - I'll video call you for thirty minutes

$200 - I will use my robot claw hand to sign a signature just like Alejandro was forced to do so Chris couldn't be sued

$500 - You'll be in given an entry into the raffle to who will see me emerge from the robot suit after a year

$1,000 - You get guaranteed entry to see me emerge from the robot suit

$10,000 - I'll participate on your reality TV show as elimination fodder/to fill out your team

$100,000 - you have the grand opportunity of pushing me down a cliff so I can experience the simultaneous dread and joy Alejandro faced as he anticipated death or freedom

Please note I will be programmed to lose the voice chip at a certain point undisclosed to me to keep the experience as authentic as possible. In addition, the person creating the robot suit for me while have the power to take control of the suit at whichever point just as Chris did. In such cases any calls or rewards involving my agency and use of voice are not guaranteed. If you donate to a higher tier you will still receive the lower down perks.

For those not tapped into Australian politics, King Charles is in Australia to conduct his "historic first tour to the commonwealth realm" i.e visting countries that King Charles is supposedly a monarch to.

Indigenous senator Lidia Thorpe had requested an audience with King Charles for weeks prior to this visit, she wrote countless letters to speak to him. Unlike other commonwealth nations and other former Brisitish colonies, a treaty with Indigenous peoples in Australia was never formed. Their land was never ceded to the British Crown. After being denied and ignored, Lidia Thorpe, draped in a traditional possum skin cloak, stormed in the Great Hall during the reception for Charles at Parliament House in the capital shouting the following:

I was walking on a rather remote beach when I came upon this Whip eel drying up in the sun. These are intertidal eels that can actually handle themselves out of water for a bit, but it’s not normal for them to be fully exposed in direct sunlight like this. The tide was at least six hours from coming in and I felt like this eel was in distress, so I made the decision to dig him out and return to the ocean. His body was too delicate to be simply pulled from the hole without injury, so I got to digging.

This endeavor took about 40 minutes as the eel was quite long and difficult to excavate. Also had to continually refill my temporary eel pond to keep him from drying out entirely while I worked.
