I might be fucking biased and also very much an Edgeworth fan but just the concept of him being shown affection and love all around by his friends/family is such a sweet lovely concept to me I can't take it.

Gumshoe's always recommending new shows for Edgeworth to watch because he wants him to loosen up and once he finds himself actually watching them he gets really emotional because oh my god my friend knows my tastes and thought to recommend me this that's so sweet :(

Phoenix makes him a cup of tea to wake him up with and he's just sat there thinking "My god Wright is being so nice to me despite everything... he even knows how i like my tea :sob:" and Phoenix is just sitting there wondering if Miles is ever gonna actually drink the tea because he almost burned the house down earlier trying to make it

And then there's Franziska, who's just as emotionally repressed as him but also trying to be a better sister. They both research love languages and go "Hm. Yes. I am touching your shoulder. This is affectionate familial love, yes?" even though they've been leaning against each other in front of the laptop for the past hour

OOH, she does? honestly... i love that for her — and i can totally imagine your joker having a beautiful voice, NGL!! but that's an interesting question as well as a very sweet sentiment... like, oh my gosh 🥺 now i'm even MORE of a fan of the concept of the rogues being there for each other in arkham, like you were talking about, because they don't really have anyone else. i honestly don't think that barton grew up with having lullabies sung to him, TBH. i think that he did have several songs sung to him as a kid (particularly by his surrogate dad, winslow) when he couldn't sleep, however, and they did help.

so i'm inclined to say the same would apply for him now; especially with barton's reputation for nights being the worst time for him quite often, because he doesn't have anything to distract him from his thoughts. and that is outside of arkham. so, INSIDE of it? they'd probably unfortunately be even worse because barton REALLY doesn't like not being in control of a situation. and some sedatives do have a possibility of giving you terrible side effects like trembling + muscle spasms, so yeah 😬

i could picture music affecting him positively / helping him feel more at ease. this does make me want to ask one question, though. what kind of songs does joker like? because don't get me wrong, anything would probably help barton, BUT i'm just curious (,:
