— the thing is, toji has a very, very thick wall around his heart and he rarely lets anyone in, ever. that's why! in this hc im gonna say that you two met via his job and just worked really well as partners. and then overtime, the two of you just got closer until finally toji makes a move on you.

the two of you were sitting at a restaurant, going over the recent job that you just finished. toji hummed at what you were saying, taking a swig of his beer as he remained eye contact with you.

recently, he's been seeing you in a different light. recently as in the past couple of months. he's just been taking note of everything you've done and how attractive you are when doing them. after he noticed he was thinking these things, he just accepted the fact he had a major crush on you and shrugged it off.

a part of him expected it to happen - how could he not have some sort of romantic feelings for you when you were so witty, strong, and intelligent. he was bound to catch some feelings for you, whether he wanted to or not.

he accepted it really quickly and decided he wanted to make it obvious sooner or later. the fact was he wouldn't know how you felt unless he initiated something.

so as he sat across from you, elbows resting on the table, until he got an idea.

"got somethin'," he said, motioning to his cheek. before you could wipe it off though, he dragged his thumb over your skin and collected the sauce of the food that you were eating onto his digit. he sucked it clean off, maintaining eye contact with you the entire time. "wait, missed a spot, c'mere,"

he leaned forward, pressing his lips to yours in a quick, chaste kiss before smirking at your stunned expression, "got it,"

after that, you obviously questioned him because what the fuck. toji just shrugs, explains how he's liked you for some time and decided to make it known now. he goes on to explain that since you're both adults, you could compromise a mature way of going about your relationship on the off-chance you didn't like him back (he's shitting bricks when he talks about that part though, you just can't tell-)

you return his feelings after getting over the initial shock.

and that was toji's unromantic way of confessing to you, but still, it got the job done and ever since that day the two of you couldn't be happier.

— contrary to popular belief, i think that toji is a big romantic. when he finds the right person, he wants it to be known that he's interested in them, loyal, and a devoted lover. in his own ways, he gives a lot of romantic attention to you and the time you spend together. even if he's dead broke, he'll find a way to make ends meet in making your relationship feel as special as it is to him.

"c'mon, baby," he goads you into grabbing his hand, rolling his eyes when you shoot him a look. "let's go, the reservation isn't gonna be waiting for anyone else but us,"

"yeah, how did you do this though? toji, this place is so expensive, are you sur-"

he kisses you to shut you up, hand caressing your cheek as he speaks to you in a low voice, "i got it all handled, don't worry about it," that translates to you = i pulled a couple of strings by threatening the boss of this place to let us eat here for free. but you couldn't will yourself to care because it was the thought that counts! plus, he went through all that effort just to secure you two a romantic evening together.

so you ruffled his messy dark locks and allowed him to guide you inside the lavish restaurant. he smirked in content, kissing the top of your head before securing you two your promised table.

on your anniversary, he showers you in so much love and affection it's insane. he doesn't have the money to bring about the most lavish celebration, unfortunately, but he does make up for it by being extra doting.

"love you so much," is the first thing he mumbles into your skin. it takes you a second to register why he was being so lovey-dovey, but when you remember it was because the calendar marks two years of officially being together, your heart warms.

toji has a good memory, remembers all the important dates and what you like and don't like. he's got it all stores in his memory under the "everything about [name]" folder there, that has other information such as your food preferences, what you like to wear, what you enjoy watching on TV, etc.

his hands run up and down your sides, pinching your nipple to get you awake and laughing when you smack him with the pillow. "sorry, just wanted to get you up so we don't waste our entire day in bed!"

"what if i wanted to just be in bed with you?" you asked, rubbing your chest with an annoyed look on your face.

"sorry, baby boy, but no can do," toji says, peppering kisses on your face, "got the whole day planned out in my head," you ignore his loving kisses that start trailing to you neck.

"mhm and what's that?"

"it's a surprise, don't ruin it," he warns you in an oddly serious tone, "want to make today special, let me make it special, boy,"

you laugh at his seemingly annoyed tone, but let him have his moment - not pressing for anymore answers.

— not the biggest on public affection, but doesn't hide the fact that he's yours and you're his. always has his arms around your shoulders or waist, sometimes pecks your cheek. but that's as far as it goes with pda. verbally, on the other hand, he's always mentioning you. even in brief interactions with other people, he's slipping mentions of you into conversation with such ease and smoothness.

"will that be all today?" the barista asks, eyeing toji up and down. and he's not a stupid guy, he notices it easily.

so to assert himself, he clears his throat and looks over the menu, "nah, actually, let me get a cinnamon bun for my boyfriend," he says, pulling out his wallet and taking out some cash, "he's been wanting somethin' sweet for a while, so i guess i can treat him to this," he comments, looking back at you with a smile. you were already seated at the table as he ordered, offering him a wave before looking back out the window.

the barista is obviously dejected when he mentions you, but he's nothing but prideful and satisfied. serves her right.

"didn't [name] already tell you we won't be taking the job? we got our entire week already planned out, we can't fit in another mission," toji said over the phone. it was one of the rare instances he was turning down the opportunity to make money, but he didn't feel bad or guilty about it.

you and him had a whole week planned together, it's been in the calendar for months now and he wasn't going to ruin the rare one-on-one time he could have with you by being greedy with some extra cash.

in the past, he might've. but you changed him, in a good way. and he wasn't going to make it seem like he valued cash over you because he definitely didn't.

"i wasn't aware that [name] spoke for the both of you? y'know, if you take him out of the equation, toji, you actually make more money-"

toji almost growled, "he fucking said no, that means i said no, too. don't be an asshole right now or i might really get pissed. from now on, whatever my man says think about it as if he's speaking on behalf of both of us. same goes for me. so listen closely when i say this, cause i'm sure he'd say the same thing to you right now: fuck off!"

he hangs up the phone and tosses it onto the table, rubbing his forehead in annoyance.

"everything alright, babe? you were yelling?" you shout from your shared bedroom and toji visibly relaxes after hearing your voice.

"nah, everythin's alright, doll, don't worry about it," he calls back, kicking his feet up onto the table and spreading his arms against the couch cushions, "hurry your ass down here, though, or else i'm starting without you!"

— huge believer in cuddling, loves, loves just holding you in his arms. it's the one time he really feels as if his stress just washes away. he's a big guy, so he usually just ends up completely blanketing over your own body. but usually, he settles for just being the big spoon and staying satisfied like that. sometimes, though, he will want to just have you completely laid out on top of him as you act as some sort of weighted blanket. that's if he's really, really stressed and just needs to be reminded that you're there for him.

his hands rest on your hips as he's laid flat on his back, holding you in place on top of him. you have been struggling to get comfortable for the past five minutes and he had to bite his tongue from saying a snarky comment to you.

"fuck, toji, it's like i'm sleeping on a rock," you complain, pushing yourself up from his torso and glaring at him, "can't i just sleep next to you like a normal person,"

he keeps his eyes shut, not bothering to wake himself from his semi-sleepy state, "[name], just stay still for a second and you'll eventually get sleepy,"

"easy for you to say when you're on the comfort of the mattress,"

"don't you say my boobs make for good pillows or something," he groans, finally cracking one eye open to weakly glare at you, "just use them as your pillows and count fucking sheep,"

"but your-"

"shh, you big baby, i just need this for tonight," he promptly shuts you up but pushing his finger on your lips. in any other instance, that would've just pissed you off even more, but seeing how genuinely tired and needy he was, you let it slide. just this once.

you settled back on his chest, running your fingers up and down his sides to give some sort of comfort.

"love you, toji," you breathe out, barely loud enough for him to hear.

but he does, and he squeezes your sides to show that he did, kissing the top of your head and whispering it back before he's lulled to his own slumber.

— always thinking about you. he's only concerned with you. every single other person in the world can fuck themselves, he just cares about you and wants to make sure you're safe.

"where's [name]?" were the first words he asked their employer, looking around the office space in search of your h/c hair.

"he just went to get himself some water-" as toji is informed of that, he's standing up out of the seat he was in and is going to leave in search of you. "he should be back in a couple short moments,"

"hm, don't care, i'm going to look for him and then we can start this meeting," toji said, not giving another glance to the guy that was going to give the both of you a job to finish.

oddly enough, the meeting was held in a corporate looking building and toji was concerned on your whereabouts. what if these assholes had some fucked up trick up their sleeve and were going to use you as leverage to get to him? toji wouldn't put it past them, he's messed with more than a couple powerful folks back in his day.

it could bite him in the ass someday and he really didn't want to risk that chance affecting you.

"toji? what are you doing here?" you ask, coming towards him with two paper cups of water in your hands.

"looking for you, babe," he easily responds, looking at the water in interest, "where'd that come from?"

"they had pitchers in their breakroom and i decided-"

"could have poision in them," toji said off handedly, looking at the contents and his face screwing up in distaste, "hold off on drinking it for now, these guys can be unpredictable sometimes,"

taking his warnings seriously, you don't sip from the cup at all and walk back with him to the meeting room. his hand rests on your waist protectively as the two of you walk through the halls, glaring at anyone who stares for a bit too long.

like a personal guard dog, toji is always standing at attention and assuming the worst of people. but don't worry, he doesn't mind. if it means it keeps you safe and in his arms, he'll be as paranoid as one can get and not have an issue with that at all.

— at the end of the day, toji doesn't listen to anyone, but you. it's funny how obediant you can get this absolute unit of man to act. he tries not to make it so obvious, but when he's hanging off of every word you say and acting at your beck and call, it's already obvious to everyone around you where his priorities are at.

"toji, don't touch that - the sign says not to touch,"

"if i wanna touch it, i will," toji says with a shrug and smirk. but then he notices the warning look you give him as his fingers inch closer to the display. he clicks his tongue in annoyance, dropping his hand to his side as he muttering under his breath, "didn't wanna even touch it, anyway, tch,"

or another time when he's giving the waiter an earful for not remembering something in your order. he thinks he's doing you a favor by speaking up for you, but in reality, you just didn't want to make the waiter's life harder than it already is.

"he asked specifically for you guys to put it on the side since he doesn't lik-"

"baby, it's fine, just drop it," you sigh, rubbing your forehead with a tired look in your eyes. he's about to protest, a scowl on his face as he thinks about the waiter incompentence. but with one look from you and a calm, "toji, enough," reaching his ears, he's standing down and shutting up.

the waiter shoots you a thankful look before running off to the kitchen with your plate of food, going off to correct his mistakes.

"couldn't hurt you to speak more nicely to people," you say, grabbing his hand across the table and shooting him a look. he scoffs, taking your hand in his and calming himself down using your touch.

toji only ever listens to one person in his life and it's you. you're just really lucky he loves you so much because if it was any other person, he'd be doing their head in. he sighs, thinking of the affects you've had on him and his own steel, hard heart.

he can't help but be thankful. he kisses the back of your hand silently, squeezing it in his hold once more before shooting you a small, barely noticeable smile.

"if that fuck ass even thinks about looking at you with those puppy dog eyes of his one more time, though, i can't promise i won't nail him right in the face," and there's your familiar, stubborn toji back again, easily threatening a poor guy that's just doing his job.

IM Holly and Alice!

I had so much fun drawing them... 🤭 I like this one too! It's a good feeling.

I'll write down the thoughts I had while drawing. (+ I also have another version of Alice's mouth)

There's a lot to talk about... I think it's because there's a lot to worry about when you're drawing a character for the first time.

Watch out for the scroll length!

Let's start with Alice first. For Alice, I looked at the original BATIM Alice cartoon illustration and then compared it to Alice's profile picture on IM Wiki.

I noticed that her eyes were shining with a white pupil in the center. I personally like this kind of eyes, so I kept it! Alice has round eyes, so I made them rounder and added the eyelashes. And the lower eyelashes! I just added them to my taste. Personally, I think Alice has a classic beauty look, so I added the lower eyelashes because I like this kind of look 😁

The expression is more of an "oh?" kind of thing, with Holly's "!" and Alice's "?" to give a contrast. Alice is actually a very strong and determined woman, but in this drawing I made her a total beauty.

And about the lips... I love her dark lips and I wanted to keep them alive, but the problem was that they were hard to draw T.T. But somehow I managed to draw them and they turned out okay, but they were too small... But then I found a version of the same lips with bigger lips that didn't look as good, so I just finished that one.

And when I said there were other versions of the mouth, I also drew a version smiling.

I also drew a version of Alice smiling to get the size of her mouth right, and when it's just the lip line, it's pretty! It's fresh and girly, but when I added the dark lips, it's like... It's not bad, but I didn't like it, so I just ended up with the one above for the representation...

After I finished Alice, I drew Holly, and I looked at how her hair is represented in wiki and other people's fanart, and I liked that everyone drew their own version of it. Anyway, after some research, I started drawing Holly's outfit, which is a skirt at first, and then it turns into pants. I like the pants version, so I decided to make her pants! I also thought it would give her more contrast with Alice.

Holly's face turned out really well for me, I'm personally better at drawing upturned eyes like that 😙 Her expression turned out really well too, so I had a lot of fun with it!

I like both Alice and Holly... You've seen me talk about them on Tumblr before when I did a series of Alice and Holly meeting. I love their friendship... I was actually thinking of drawing them together and then adding Cala to make it a trio, but I'm on my third 2-person drawing in a row and I'm exhausted, so I realized I can't do a 3-person 😂 Sorry Cala... I like Cala too... I'll make sure to draw her later

So... Anyway, I finally finished drawing the main characters! I've been meaning to draw them before, but kept putting it off, and I'm proud of myself for finishing them this time 😁 What's next? I don't know. Maybe Felix again? ����

BACHIRA ’s natural nature of lighting the room with his bright personality is something everybody adores.

But of course; you're his favorite after all.

This cat is CLINGY — is trailing behind you 90% of the time you're home. Type of cat to sit and wait for you at the door till you come from work.

He suffers from loneliness(lol I'm sorry I had to add this) and needs your presence urgently. Just being in the same room as the yellowish cat is more than enough for him.

So lonely you even caught him playing like there was another cat in the room. You're worried about him and it creeped you out because he meowed and purred at the empty space.

Purrs loudly often, affectionate and bold and specially not afraid of anything.

Being unafraid can be good and bad. Bachira is a pro at giving you heart attacks.

Jumps over the hot stoves multiple times, gets stuck in the most random places and somehow gets dangerous objects to fall exactly 1 cm away from him.

You swear Bachira is in his last life at this point because he also gets in big fights with some other cats.

You have to idea of how he’s so good at fighting, but judging by how he is; you assume it was when he was still a kitten.

According to his last owner; he grew up obsessed with playing with the soccer ball(still is). Your storage is full of several videos of Bachira playing around with the ball. It's so cute you just want to grab him and pamper him to death.

Vets? Hell nah. He's not a fan of it at all. Even tries to avoid you by disappearing. But go along with it for the sake of not worrying you.

It’s fun and hell at the same time giving him baths, he won't stay still and gets soap all over.

Fur; all over your house. Doesn't even bother to clean. That didn't come with him in the package.

Very active, takes half a century to make him sleep and half a century to wake the feline up..

Bachira loves being with other cats, specially with a certain brunette, and a pink-ish like and an oranged one.

Sleeps tangled in your sheets. And wakes up on the floor.

Bachira is a big fan of cuddling, it’s by your side any moment given.

Tries his best to lighten you up when you're down. But it's not the type of “energetic lighten up”, it's more like a sincere movement of just sitting by your side and being there while you have your moment of distress.

He's there when you sob your worries out, when you're melancholic among your sheets without moving much, having your tired eyes check your phone with apathy and turning it off with a sight, or when you're locked up in the bathroom for hours.

Well; he is too, a little goofy, but it always works on you.

He just wants to be there for you like you were there for him.

The amount of attention this cat needs from his loved ones is insatiable.

REO needs to be by your side at least 60% of his day.

The other 40% is either being active on his daily exercises, somehow working his brain out, taking care of himself, or being around the cat he brought from the streets…

Ah. Nagi, of course. The white cat is such an often guest you may as well just make a room for him.

Reo brought this gigantic cat up one day and it scared the hell out of you because every other cat made him lose interest. The purplish suddenly bringing someone up made your heart jump.

Both are really affectionate towards you(how cute) — although Reo acts a bit off all of the sudden sometimes… is he.. jealous of his own guest? Or is he jealous of his own owner? This cat switches up so many times you gave up trying to figure it out.

He is the most different of all cats. He has a way with everything and successful in earning the things he wants. Even able to act like other cats — you're surprised of how your fellow companion is.

Bro’s so unique Reo even likes vets… he really likes to take care of himself. Fur 10/10, cutted claws, pretty eyes, smart.. he even has his own diet…

He smells like rich. He prefers luxury items and treatment as well… Hope your salary is capable of handling that.

Doesn't function properly without you — he at least needs to be reassured you're still there for him.

Reo purrs happily when you recognize him.

Guests? Sure, he doesn't mind. As long as they don't touch him, he doesn't care about entertaining them a little.

Indifferent about being with other cats — he takes a popular position among them and often attracts other cats even… problem is that he gets bored easily.

Talking about bored; you have to be very specific for Reo to even like you 😭 or at least, full of surprises that will make him locked in you like Nagi did to him. But dw he loves you <3

Isn't the type to get into a fight. But the last time Reo did; you never saw him stubborn and irritated. It was all because of a black cat… you and Nagi glanced at each other as Reo stormed around.

It's either sleep in his own bed or sleep in your bed. He likes how your bed smells like you.

Morning with this cat is peaceful, might as well have your daily routine done along with him.

When Reo senses that sad aura around you, he is immediately on you. You cannot hide any type of worry around Reo. Not Reo — he knows you all too well, don't you dare hide anything from him, he feels sad if you do it.

He snuggles up to you when the night falls, and he will wake you up when the sun rises, he is there by you all the time.

You're his top priority, will abandon anything to make you feel alright.

feel like im having a DA2 experience again where I really liked it and was in my little "this is good" cocoon where i played it many times only to emerge from underground and find everyone else hated it (i mean ive found the other da2 cicadas since but at the time it got really slammed). i've been really enjoying DA:TV so far ( lol tho obvs have notes) here's an early thoughts review, may be a bit spoilery, def rambley, trying to stay vague on stuff still (i think i'm about half way maybe? im trying to not look things up and doing it blind on my first run through. it's hard to tell b/c i went hard on all the side quests and am now way over level for the msq)

the combat system is a little jarring at first and i still miss at least being able to switch to and play as party members if your character dies (instead of the god of war style of full wipe), but i've gotten used to it (it's more annoying for boss fights, regular combat it's very zippy and fun). the targeting at least on controller is kind of annoying sometimes- i'll think i'm pointing at one enemy only to have rook turn and fire at nothing or companions to hit an add instead of a boss. I wish we at least had more control over how it queued who it was hitting. some of the arenas are obnoxious design wise - there's bosses that teleport to you and they give you like a tiny little box to dodge around, not the most fun. i do like that you can punch way above of your weight class sometimes which reminds me of DAO a little bit (like how you'd just wander into a fight or hit a gong and be like oh no, those enemies have skulls over their heads, oh well YOLO). sometimes it doesn't work out but when it does it's very satisfying. It's nice to be able to conquer something mechanically even underleveled (smol fromsoft vibes) Having always been a big fan of the strange composition parties (i.e not just war/rogue/mage), i like that this is now even more viable (and not just me being cheeky "we're having a leather party!" of all squishy rogues). but like the main thing about bioware games is the companions/interpersonal shit and i'm enjoying the heck out of that .i only do main quests to get more side quests from companions (or more side quests in general so we can troll around for more banter). i like petting griffons (and cats and dogs) and playing games with manfred*. I wish the gift system was more interesting like DAO or DA2- i was so excited to see it again and then it was a little disappointing to have them barely react when you get them stuff.

my current fave party are rook and the poison boys (emmerich and lucanis) since they're a rogue too and we just stack necrosis, bleeds and other elemental effects on things till they disintegrate. i like the lighthouse, it feels much cozier than skyhold. I love that you can just wander up to companions having convos and awkwardly eavesdrop. I do miss the little interactions/quests you could get with cole esp*** i think the animations are a little lack lustery? Idk there's something with the face model morphs that sometimes feels weird but the voice acting is strong enough that I don't notice too much. i do miss some of the more bioware-y cheeky things like item descriptions or weird notes near random silly environmental tableaus (there's a little but i just want to read all the notes! there's some in the grey warden areas where i was just like WAIT I HAVE QUESTIONS but there was no plaque about them T.T). where are the stacks of cheese (i do appreciate the fereldens love cheese jokes tho and harding getting so excited when someone says something nice about ferelden) i was esp bummed that there were no random things to read in the black emporium and it's all codex entries instead (that's my favorite tiny bit in DA2 where there's junk you can click on and xenon says weird shit to you). i also wish more had been done with accents of npcs- like i wish all the antivans had similar accents or your crow rook had an antivan accent, stuff like that (having a lot of "ferelden" generic british accents everywhere is disappointing. takes you out of the immersion a lot) My biggest gripe is probably the pacing - I wish it had more horror/mystery pacing like dao and da2 had- the reason we're all scarred by the brood mother is b/c the build up to that was so so creepy (also the necromancer bit w/hawke's mum in DA2). They gave us time to be unnerved or afraid and I do feel the evanuris reveals have been a little rushed so you can't really feel that worried about them (some of the side quests get close to this but still not quite there**). I wish they'd let them breathe a bit more instead of rushing from one giant world changing event to the next. Some of the reveals have been not so great- like lore that the fandom has poured over for 15ish years explained in one line?? i wish there'd been more build up of rook as a character too, maybe even a time skip from a prologue to finding solas kind of thing. the first trailer made it seem like that's what was going to happen but then it in media res'd us in a strange way. the first 10 hours of the game are probably the weakest imho, it took it a bit to get rolling and feel more natural. I appreciate that the first major decision doesn't really let you scum save for it (bit of a jump scare for me lol).

I also don't really need this much varric anymore, i kinda wish we had a different narrator if we have to have one. He feels really awkward to just have there and not doing anything(and not just kill off or have something happen to him? he got stabbed by the dagger and harding only touched it is what i'm saying). at least let him get better pjs and slippers or something Idk it does feel like bits of previous iterations they were working on are still there and they don't completely serve the plot well. And ofc there's the decisions not meaningfully carrying over thing- which is a huge bummer. But in reality they've never been good at that- the characters from previous games we see in new games don't really carry through their plots/arcs that much (it's more like cameos or they're a new person now) and the world states are usually effectively the same just with aesthetic faction swaps. I was sort of hoping we'd get some solavellan SOMETHING but it doesn't look like we will get much at all past the stuff in minrathous. i feel like if they were going to only include the one choice it really should have had more impact on the story. (i am also still a clown and want to talk to solas constantly still even tho he has no reason to talk to my rook at all, i do not care, i love a sad woof. i wish we could just casually visit him in the fade. i wish we could switch to lavellan and visit him in the fade, idk something. need more gareth david-lloyd pls) the interpersonal character decisions have been the only ones that mattered much and then only within the constrains of their own games- the bigger world changing stuff is usually the illusion of choice. It would have been nice if they let us have one protagonist carry through but i can also see why they liked changing it up and felt stuck in that format. tl;dr: i'm really like it for what it is but it's def got flaws. Parts of it feel super polished while other bits do not- i think knowing how game dev works that they had to make decisions on what was going to get prioritized and some of it works while others not so much. I wish the pacing was better for sure but i love the characters/companions which is generally what bioware is best at. sad it won't get meaningful dlc, i don't really care about mass effect 5 tbqh. So far I like it better than inquisition for the most part- it feels like a bigger/more polished DA2 in a lot of ways if that makes any sense (with similar budget/pacing issues, but the environments are more fun). as i mentioned in my other post, i really appreciated the trans/non binary inclusion into the story/cc tho. like that can't be discounted, even if the rest of the game has issues. (all the holes in the narrative make me want to do fan art and fan fiction tho so idk, maybe that's an okay thing. maybe dragon age is best at inspiring us to sandbox around in it)

*side note, i am surprised at how much i like emmerich like holy shit what a lovely soft nerd of a man! going to have to play through a few times and romance him and also bellara for sure (romancing lucanis this time round) i find myself shipping my companions with each other more than i normally do too. I just want them to be happy! I wish they'd let us have polyamory, like i could see little polycules in this squad so easily. i need to give bellara hugs and lucanis head pats. taash deserves head pats too, but my rook will need a ladder.

I really like this picture of mipha specifically!! I feel like the emotion is shown really well and even tho there are a lot of things I can't do with her to make crying more realistic (nose to go red and run, ect) I think I've shown it as best as I can ^^ I also love the way her top showed up and am proud of the little star <3

I really like this sketch. My first miphlink kiss I've drawn :D the hands look better than usual and I like the green/pink gradient. I like the looseness of the lines, too. I was really just having fun with it and not putting too much pressure on myself

Mipha dropped her bag onto the table with a thud. Her hands trembled on the sink as she poured herself a glass of water. She bit her lip hard, choking down a sob as she lifted the glass to her lips. She wiped her mouth, her hand coming back red with a spot of blood, mixed with lipstick. Her eyes burned with tears and she let them fall, shoulders shaking with each quiet cry. Oh, she’d messed everything up, she’d let everything fall apart and now everyone was in danger.

In the dim light of the empty safehouse it was hard to see. The window above the sink stared out at a concrete wall, a cruel mockery of what she could be looking at instead. Even from deep underground she could hear the hail thundering onto them, a constant pitter-patter with the occasional thud as a particularly large ball of ice fell.

She faintly heard the door upstairs open, multiple pairs of footsteps coming down the stairs until Gaddison, Bazz and Rivan burst into the kitchen, rosy cheeked and smiling fin-to-fin. They chatted amongst each other for less than a minute, before seeming to realise Mipha was standing at the sink and turning to her.

“Oh, Mipha. Hey.” A gentler smile curved Bazz's lips, and he picked the bandage on his cheek. Her heart rate picked up. He was, like Gaddison and Rivan, absolutely covered in bandages. A thick one was wrapped around his bicep, a blood soaked gauze was taped on Gaddison's knee, and Rivan was covered in small, shark patterned band-aids. 

“What…” She gulped, reaching backwards to steady herself on the kitchen bench. She was used to the sight of blood, but that, coupled with her exhaustion and the way they had messily covered their wounds sent a wave of light headedness to her head. “What happened…?”

Honestly this is a great question, because (aside from a few exceptions) I am unsure myself! Only a few of my characters have a set nationality, the rest are just vaguely there . Im not even sure where the story itself takes place. I’m honestly more curious to see if you guys have any headcanons lol.

As for the characters who *do* have an accent… Judas is very cockney, but tries to hide it because people used to make fun of him for it. With time he got less shy about it.

Samson is Italian (bc I’m projecting lol) and bilingual, so he usually slips up sometimes. Also he’s from Veneto bc he’s loosely based on my partner lol

I don’t really have strong ideas about the others tho! Eden definitely doesn’t have an accent, and their voice actually sounds different every time they speak with someone. It can sound deeper to some, while higher in pitch to others, and they always have a weird cadence that doesn’t seem entirely human.

Azazel *does* have an accent but I haven’t really decided on which one T.T and it would also be very mild, because he spent so much time with humanity and their ever-changing languages.

Cain is an immortal who has learnt a lot of languages, so his original accent is now lost to time. His first language isn’t even known, and he probably completely forgot about it. Same goes for Lilith, although she still remembers her first language, it is not a human one and only she can speak it.

Eve could have an accent since she’s Middle Eastern.

Isaac’s voice claim is Ted Nivison, so that one I guess. I don’t really know much about American accents T.T they all kind of sound the same to me sorry.

As for the rest… I don’t really know! I might think about it if I come up with different nationalities for the others, but until then I have no idea :( I do wonder if people have headcanons about my characters’ voices tho, what do my characters sound like in your head?

OD reveal my beloved <3 everything about kdj just makes me cry man. i did not think i was gonna get attached to him as much as i am now 😭😭 maybe i was jaded from the multiple shitty isekai anime and manga i've read but i really just wasn't expecting kdj to have such character- ALL of the characters to be so lovable and make me want to cry, cheer and cherish all of them. ESPECIALLY yoo joonghyuk, man the early days of orv where i thought he was gonna be the typical punching bag asshole, unimportant side-character, who the mc gives a beatdown to as some kind of power play(?) 😭 embarassing. hahahhaha

i feel like thats exactly orv's goal. to lure you in with a bunch of trendy genres and tropes and then somewhere down the line it hits your psyche at your most vulnerable. you see kdj being so confident in his knowledge of the world, so omniscient, so to speak, that you simply do not need to question his otherwise eyebrow-raising deeds. he says that helping lgy was hypocritical. he tells ysa that he threw the insect net in her direction by coincidence. he says that yjh is a cold psycho who only cares about seeing the end of the scenarios. and you end up "believing" him. bcs he's omniscient

but then, fast forward a few scenarios later and kdj prioritizes lgy over himself and gives him to yjh to fill the green zone. fast forward a few scenarios more and kdj saves ysa's life with 4th wall's help. he sees yjh lose it when he dies in front of him. he gets so emotional when he finds out yjh has come to the demon realm for him (albeit kdj always seems to give yjh the short end of the stick by Doubting him but by this point we know that he may not be as omniscient as we first thought. especially when it comes to knowing everything about yjh)

fun fact abt me i also kinda went into orv 'blind' so to speak. sure i knew who od sp and tls123 were in names only but the actual revelations shook me to my core regardless 😭😭

Yk when an author try to slam in you face how great their fl is but the "villaines" caracter is more intresting and has a more compeling story so the author needs to demonize her but you still like her out of spite and the fun fact is that without her to cause drama would be not story(traumatised and abused slave to power hungry empress need i say more) but im here to compare her with also a very hated caracter that I LOVE AND ADORE Taryn(atleast hb gave her a happy ending or after tpt let her live)both Taryn and Rashta are very hated caracters in their respective fandoms because they are not the "HOT TYPE OF MORALLY GRAY"while men caracters are giving a pass,Rashta even get a nickname "Trasha" but the fun part is that people hated her since the first chapters because she stole the fl man(the trash husband found her in the forest after she run away from being a slave AFTER her master killled her baby in front of her and i think you can call that grape since the power dynamic... be the emperor concubine or back to slavery)i dont hate the fl i hate the story and how the narative and fandom treat her that all and how the narative treat slavery like is something shamefull rashta trough the story shes shamed by everyone when in that moment she didnt do anything wrong just for being a slave but they get a pass because they like the fl so they are good people(someone bring the circus music)sorry if i talked to much i just hate how people hate female caracters who use feminine way of gaining power.and yea taryn didnt do the right thing but who in that book is completly inocent that why tfota is such a good books series.(rashta could have been such an amazing caracter but after half the novel she get demonized and descent to madness and suicide sobs)

I don't know anything about the other character, but yiiiikes T.T It's bc a woman using her sexuality in "impure" ways is still looked down upon harsher than her murdering or lying or betraying in other ways. Guaranteed if Taryn's betrayal had nothing to do with a man and instead she just hung out with the evil gang (like Vivi <3) or picked Madoc over her at the end of the book and THAT caused their rift she would not be nearly as hated. Maybe they would still dislike her but not to This Insane Extent where they straight up rewrite the books to fit their agenda. HB already distanced her from the story and I don't expect it to get any better, but you are right, at least she isn't demonized by the story itself!

Sorry to be 3 days late to the party but if you're still looking for good RadioDust fics I cannot recommend enough the Like Me series by threegoblins on ao3. The first installment is Angel POV and an amnesia fic but done in such a way it blew my fuckin gourd. Actually one of my all time fave fics now of any fandom, I'm not kidding. There's an in-progress sequel fic that's parallel to the first one but from Alastor's POV and I'm becoming feral waiting for the next update. Absolutely recommend, also you absolutely have to read them in order because there's a plot twist in the first one that the sequel spoils from the get go. I'm not normal about these fics. Also Alastor with a monster body for monster body Alastor enjoyers.

the basic scenario of reader and Wooyoung being tied up together is pretty similar to what i originally planned; but the *mood* of the scene is very different

when i first outlined the story, there was no non-sexual bondage; instead i had a vague idea abt Wooyoung still feeling guilty abt overstepping, and that he wanted to work out that guilt through bdsm.

so i had thoughts abt focusing the scene on San paying a lot of attention to reader while Wooyoung gets completely ignored as punishment — and he wouldn’t have permission to cum until she decided he deserved to uwu

but smth abt it all didn’t sit right w/ me from early on, and while writing the Woo/reader lunchdate i realised that she would 100% be uncomfortable w/ being used to punish Woo in *this* specific scenario since she has her own guilt abt that! (also; i felt like this’d be at a stage of their relationship that you gotta talk through some stuff, not fuck through it lol) so i pivoted, added the non-sexual bondage, and it turned into this!

(but if you feel robbed of some spicy moments now; no worries! Woo needing reader’s permission to cum & San ignoring Woo while he fucks the reader have been incorporated in the plans for different chapters (｡•̀ᴗ-)✧)

whether the characters influence the chapters; yes to some extent!

i really am a plantser at heart; i need to know where a fic is going & i need a few solid anchor points between beginning and end; but i also really need empty space to fill up details as i go along, which is usually influenced by what feels ‘right’ for the characters ♡

like; i knew from day 1 that Woo was going to break the no kissing rule, and i knew it would lead to a ‘conflict’ that’d end up strengthening their relationship, but i figured out the exact details along the way (again the their lunchdate did a lot of heavy lifting! writing that scene solidified SO MUCH for me abt Woo & reader’s deal)

now, abt Woosan pov…

the next chapter actually opens w/ San! (but um… you might not thank me for that >_>) i want to do a Woo pov somewhere too, which *might* also happen in the next chapter, but i’m still kindof feeling out what the best spot is ^^

(also i have like half a prequel drabble written down abt the first time Woo brought San flowers home from work (◕‿◕✿) i’m obv focused on the main story for now, but i’d love to finish that after the fic itself is done ^^)

CONCLUSIONS!

this was so wholesome t.t i really enjoyed that!! it has some lore implications and long-run stuff but mostly i’m really glad to finally get some new stories/a new vibe. I really enjoyed the glimpse we got of ruby’s family world and also love that both mine and 15’s reactions was “i’ve only had ruby for half an hour but if something happened to her i’d murder everyone here and then myself probably”. her wardrobe is beyond iconic.

besides the “biggest family in the world” parallel, the bb photos in the fridge give me like… TTC’s o"ther lost incarnations are their siblings vibe". Or, every "other time lord is technically the doctor’s children" vibe.

aesthetically, i really enjoyed this one. Specially The Big Scene (13-era blue/gold motif my beloved). This is one i see myself rewatching in the future just for the feel-good feel of it. the goblin number was fun! a clever parody of how much of pop uses “baby” and sweets-related metaphors for the sake of romance and here it becomes all for the sake of cannibalism lol (big brown eyes, caramelise~). 15/ruby being *so in* tune is cute+fun (and slightly sus). promising start to the new era.
