I guess that this wraps things up gameplay-wise for now! I'm farming hard artifacts for Neuvi as there was a better option for him that I was unaware of until recently, but at least one of the sets is available in the crafting thingy, so there is that! Tomorrow I'll review the screens I made during my experience and write a post about the things I want to mention more in depth, as I would like to catch up with a bit of writing after so long.

So yes I have OF COURSE read @naffeclipse new fic Apex Polarity and yes, I AM OBSESSED!

So I decided to make a little comic of how I think their "first encounter" might have looked like from Eclipse's perspective.

I can't help but think about how alien and scary we most look to him (especially if there is a history of fasco hunting polar sirens in the past). With all that gear we look like emotionless beings, just observing and uncaring of this ice world. But then when y/n shows up and probably exudes this joy and wonder for his world + shows respect for the creatures and the environment??? Mmh yeah, I can see Eclipse falling for y/n, especially considering how alone he might be...

So yes, that's what I have for today! If you want to read the fic I'll link it right here. I can't recommend it enough, but as always, read the tags so you know what you're getting into! And lastly I also want to @themeeplord beacuse Eclipse's design is basically their design in my style (god I love their design so much, their character/creature designs are the BEST) so all the credit goes to them! i think dinostar is such an interesting ship right now even if i've kind of turned away from it after this season. the problem is that it's complicated, and fandoms historically don't like nuanced situations or takes. i don't think it's fair to say darius is putting brooklynn on a pedestal, since from his perspective, she hasn't done anything wrong, and kenji has been framed as this unfair partner to her. it does feel like his feelings are very immature and more of an infatuation right now ("if he loved you half as much.."/"unless?"), especially when you compare them to kenji's own feelings for brooklynn - his girlfriend who he's loved for 6 years - but that isn't a horrible thing, it's just different. i do completely understand if people dislike the ship right now, and even criticize darius' way of handling the accidental confession, but i just think people have been way too harsh on all three of them without being willing to see that all of their perspectives are different

I had done this a while ago and was technically my 3rd attempt at a 3D model of him and wasn't quite finished, but I should share anyway. This time I tried a bit more with having some model refs of him on the side, but also just kind of had him how I draw him.

It's very good to have for perspective angles at least, but I am pretty proud of it anyway~ This was my 2nd attempt at something in ZBrush Core Mini, which is pretty similar to Sculptris, but not quite. Another learning curve but better in some ways. It at least doesn't crash all the time lol

It turns out that I never research because it makes me think the details are the point instead of the story.

The story is the point! It doesn't matter if I don't have an entire world with all its history and cultural and political customs realistically fleshed out! Focus on the story and fill in the details later!

i've been drawin on myself and others since I was a kid so i guess this was only natural! I'm very excited and also Very terrified!

I can't help but think about the election coming up and how drastically different my future looks depending on who wins. Nobody's gonna want to get tattoos when they can't afford to live in the even Worse hypercapitalist hellscape trump would turn this country into should he get reelected.

How could i escape a potentially dictatorial country when I've been apprenticing and all my savings are gone? What would happen if he succeeds in banning my existence as a trans man and i'm forced to detransition in the eyes of the law? I really don't see anything being sacred when it comes to human rights for this monster and until we know once and for all that he's out, I will not be able to relax.

Alls I can do right now is make sure i VOTE. That's the one thing that will save us. Vote blue. Vote for the future and our potential to improve things under an imperfect but not outright fascist government. Overwhelm the numbers to where there can be no argument as to who won.

haaaaate being a timeline enthusiast in a fandom like gravity falls because figuring out the grunkles' ages is literally impossible on purpose. they're [redacted] years old in 196[redacted] (nineteen sixty-something in tale of two stans, the date is smudged in ford's file in tbob) so that's no help, stan once says he's pushing 70 and then gets called 70-something at some point. the only thing we know for sure is that ford wasn't 92 years old when he first summoned bill, which. duh. and they're not 92 yet because ford is still alive (again, duh). IF we go with ford disappearing in '82 and him and stan not seeing each other for exactly ten years before that (although stan says "you haven't seen your brother in over ten years" so it COULD be more), and we assume ford graduated at 18, then they were probably born in '54 which makes them 58 in 2012. but this is STILL built on too many assumptions for my liking.
