Heartbeats slow; seconds pass like minutes. Waylon hovers behind her and tries to listen. Some words exchange, but dulled by the wooden slab between him and her and whoever is inside. Albert, most definitely. The thought of them flushes Waylon's face. He reaches forward, set to rip the aid aside, barge past, and— She slips her head out and eases the door shut. He recoils, letting his hand fall limp to his side. No. She doesn't deserve that. [...]

i really don’t think it’s “typical dragon age fandom nonsense” for people to be genuinely upset about the world state choices. combat, level design, art direction, gameplay gimmicks, those have all varied across each dragon age game. the one thing that’s remained constant are nods to our previous choices.

i wasn’t expecting my HoF to come riding in on a griffon, but i can’t find a monument dedicated to warden tabris somewhere around the anderfels? lucanis couldn’t have some lines about the time that one arainai boy was stirring up trouble in antiva city? you’re gonna tell me that making a mage the new divine wouldn’t have some impact on nevarra and antiva? on the anderfels, the supposed most devout militant andrastian nation in thedas? you’re saying nobody in the north is paying attention to who rules orlais or ferelden? come on.

Small but significant character moments that I actually really adore are from both the times we see the boys as tots. There is a reoccurrence that happens in both of them that I find so incredibly interesting.

For the turtle tot short, Splinter leaves the boys with weapons. In the short, Raph is the one who suggests they do “what Lou Jitsu would do” and Leo is the one who takes point when Splinter comes back to reprimand them. Leo, in taking point, is the one to defend them and get Splinter off their tails.

And then, in the flashback regarding the Kuroi Yōroi helmet, Raph is the one who grabs and throws “Skully” as a way to replace their missing ball which breaks it into pieces, but Leo is the one who speaks for the group and rushes into action to fix the teapot.

I love this for multiple reasons, but the biggest are how it shows that Raph has always been inclined toward the bold and fun and making the plans to include his brothers in what he loves and believes they’d love, whereas Leo has always been inclined to be the “Face” of the group and shoulder the attention even if it’s potentially negative all while coming up with on the spot attempts to fix the situation.

Before my transition, I used to post on here abt how angry I was that I had a body, how I couldn't believe I'd agreed to it in the preexistance, how I couldn't understand how getting a body was part of the plan of salvation when it felt like a punishment. But now that I have transitioned and had top surgery too, my body DOES feel like a temple. It's the damndest thing. Is this what cis people have been feeling this whole time? My body feels like a gift, it feels loving and beautiful and it makes me confident. And not only that, but I can't shake this bone-deep feeling that transitioning, having top surgery, has brought my body closer to its eventually perfected state. I feel like I've glimpsed exaltation in the BECOMING of it, in the way it has changed from something so hated to something that feels so holy. I wish I could make some people in the church see what im seeing. It's like I've pulled away a curtain and behind it is the missing piece of the gospel, the part of the plan that I fit in. How could this not be what god wants when i feel him so strongly in my transition, to the point I get goosebumps to even think too deeply about it. If only they could feel what I'm feeling, they'd know how RIGHT it is! I want to stand on top of a building and scream it. All along, I WAS a child of god! All along, he had a plan for ME! These are not empty words!

Thinking about how Camp Half Blood is named after the campers/demigods whereas Camp Jupiter is named after a god (and the shittiest one, at that)

And how in HOO Percy notes (specifically Son of Neptune) that the Greeks fight in a more individualistic style whereas the Romans rely on strength in numbers

And I can't help but think it's bc the Greek demigods are trained to think about themselves as a person (thanks Chiron) whereas the Romans are trained to think of what's best for the group/the gods
