I got to draw some fun potions for this book that's now live on Kickstarter! Consider supporting it if you'd like to add that extra dash of magic and delightful mayhem to your next DnD, Pathfinder or OSE campaign:
It's for DMs and players (whoever is the major source of chaos in your group). I'll be posting some WIPs of the illustrations I contributed over the coming weeks!

Too tired to do the whole shebang, but I just pushed the 109th — and final — chapter of The Heist at Cordia Aquarium's serialized release. A full, unedited first draft.
Read the final chapter here if you want: https://www.kitfisto.gay/chapters/chanterelle
Or start from the beginning, rough as it may be: https://www.kitfisto.gay/chapters/thea
Here's a message I posted in various places about the final chapter:
That's it! The first draft is fully released, so onwards to the second! I've already been working on it during this last stretch of this free release and we're well on the way to publishing. If you'd like to follow along with that process, you can hop in Discord: https://discord.gg/FTXWtkhVrS I'll be posting the occasional update there and am happy to answer any questions you might have, whether they be about the story, the publishing process, whatever. Assuming the answer won't spoil all the fun surprises that the second draft has in store. There's also a ton of concept art and to-be art inserts for the final print version in there. The artist, Stella (https://www.artstation.com/langecker), has put out some beautiful pieces that more people should see. And she pops in to post in-progress pieces occasionally. If you don't end up heading to discord, you should check at least out Stella's Artstation profile. If only I could conjure a description that'd do her work justice. Anyways, thanks so much for reading. I hope to see you again. Be well and stay kind, Heather

The one-hundred and eighth free, unedited chapter of my upcoming book, “The Heist at Cordia Aquarium” is now available on its website (or click https://www.kitfisto.gay/chapters/thea to read from the beginning, though it's a lot rougher than the recent stuff -- thankfully, the second draft is well under way).
Within minutes, the aid leads Waylon to a solid wood door. Walnut or oak or something — he doesn't know the difference. Brass fixings adorn its grainy surface, each reflecting a warped version of their surroundings. Knocking first, she inches the door open and peaks her head inside. Heartbeats slow; seconds pass like minutes. Waylon hovers behind her and tries to listen. Some words exchange, but dulled by the wooden slab between him and her and whoever is inside. Albert, most definitely. The thought of them flushes Waylon's face. He reaches forward, set to rip the aid aside, barge past, and— She slips her head out and eases the door shut. He recoils, letting his hand fall limp to his side. No. She doesn't deserve that. [...]
Unrelated image this week, but a hint that this kitty has so much more planned in the second draft. Plus she's just cute. Art courtesy of @binturong-draws

Another seasonal commission I forgot to post here. This time, it's a throwback to warm summer nights.
#this is my favorite of her seasonal commissions#the busy composition on the left giving way to the open water on the right...#it fills me with feelings of peace. i love it

After a Christmas and new years break, the one-hundred and sixth free, unedited chapter of my upcoming book, “The Heist at Cordia Aquarium” is now available on its website (or click https://www.kitfisto.gay/chapters/thea to read from the beginning).
I won't be posting chapter excerpts on socials for these last sets of chapters. The spoilers are heavy. But, here's the wonderful cover that @binturong-draws made for the book. Haven't posted it here in a while.

Character Designs for "The Heist at Cordia Aquarium" by Heather Creech
You can catch up on the chapters so far and stay up to date with new ones on her blog: @incompleteninny
Also, there you'll get to see all the old character designs I drew that I felt too self-conscious about to include here...

The one-hundred and fifth free, unedited chapter of my upcoming book, “The Heist at Cordia Aquarium” is now available on its website (or click https://www.kitfisto.gay/chapters/thea to read from the beginning).
Not a memory; not a ghost; not a disembodied voice. It's her: Gina, surrounded by beeping instruments and IV drips. Her body is less than flesh, but more than bone. A gown hangs from her jagged shoulders and disappears — alongside countless cables and tubes — beneath bunched thermal blankets. What remains of her hair sits smooth against her scalp, brushed and gathered into a ponytail. Waylon lurches toward her. How? "I'll let you two have the stage." Albert says. A pause, then heels clack, fading toward the door. Gina raises a hand is if to catch the sound. "Wait, Albert." She tugs on a bundle of cables. "Get the nurses to come take these damn things off, will you." Fabric swishes. Albert, making some grand gesture — their unworn sleeves sweeping after their arms. "As you wish." They say. Waylon hears the exchange of words, but each syllable falls from his ears. Nothing worth committing to memory. He staggers to Gina's side. There's an armchair near her bed, facing her. Crisp, clean, deliberately placed. Everything according to Albert's machinations. Waylon doesn't care: he collapses into it. [...]

The one-hundred and fourth free, unedited chapter of my upcoming book, “The Heist at Cordia Aquarium” is now available on its website (or click https://www.kitfisto.gay/chapters/thea to read from the beginning).
Joel is gone. Probably back with mister Hersh, speeding off toward Windbridge. So, Waylon stands alone in a hallway of arched ceilings and doors. In front of one door in particular; where Joel left him. Staring down at the hooked door handle, he runs his thumb over the textured grip of his revolver. How long have I been standing here? It's odd. The trip here, the ride up; the whole time, his chest burned. Each step closer to Albert, another log for the fire. But now? Not even an ember. Cold. "Second thoughts?" It's her voice. Gina's from long before, just like at the aquarium. He closes his eyes. He can almost feel her hovering over him. Phil, too. Their ghosts both judging him. Without another moment's hesitation, Waylon grits his teeth, opens his eyes, and barrels through the door. [...]
The disaster is back!
