I do feel a little bad how often fans read this shot as 'oh no, Ben is heartbroken!' because the original intention was for Ben to have more of a 'wtf, some of us are dating now? You have time to date? And of all people it's you two???' reaction here asdfafsd

But this was actually boarded before the show had even premiered, and nobody knew fans were going to ship Ben and Kenji haha. This is a prime example of how sometimes... fans pick up things that were done on accident.

There's a whole thing about this. I don't have to go through and mine books for information because others have already done that. I could be so much worse.

I saw another post today talking about fandom etiquette and being respectful to fan writers/artists, and it made me think.

I've heard a lot of people in fandom, rightly so, telling people to appreciate what they're given. To leave nice comments and kudos, reblog AND like, stuff like that. It's all good to hear and a reminder is often a good thing, but it made me realize:

In my 8+ years as a fan writer, I've never received a hate comment. Only lovely reviews and messages. Sometimes requests, occasionally criticism, but never anything truly mean. That is so special and I am so grateful.

I'm grateful for all of you who value my work and enjoy it like I do. This corner of the Internet is really special to me. Thank you.

watched a video where someone compared the awful creation that is the teen wolf movie to fanfiction and-

i don't ever want to hear someone debase fanfiction like that again. the teen wolf fandom is so large. it has so many amazing authors- i've read rewrites of the seasons that the actual show writers couldn't dream of creating.

if a teen wolf fan created a fanfiction that became the movie- it would outshine the entire series
