aka I wanted to play around with the theoretical tfatb Noel colors and had some sketches I could color and this happened

someone tell tfatb Noel that red and purple aren't supposed to be worn together for some fashion reason I can't remember (please don't I like the idea of tfatb Noel's dark red slowly turning into a purple as it goes on, with Noel's navy blue hiding underneath, ending the series as a more navy slightly more purple than my usual Noel navy blue)

Kayne appears second time and starts talking to Arthur (ladder shenanigans 2.0) and Arthur's like “I know you're just another thing the King's made to torture me. Last time, you said you weren't and then you broke my legs and laughed at my screams. So enough with the set up. Just get it over with.” And Kayne's like “you know what. Fine.” And Arthur and John brace for some excruciating pain or madness and instead they suddenly feel the wind and sun and Arthur isn't in pain. He's still hungry but he isn't as weak. His legs don't hurt. His throat doesn't hurt. That doesn't make sense. It's a trick. A trap. To lull into a false sense of security. He might not be in the pits anymore but this is clearly part of something to lead to torture and he won't let his guard down, he won't give out information that leads to someone dying, won't let them get taken to the pits while he can't even fight back, he won't he won't he won't. (Even if this isn't a trick by the King, then something else is playing with him. At least he knows what the King wants. So it must be the King.) It's like Adam Fry - a friendly voice (this is not a friendly voice) to make him think someone is helping him. It's not real. Admittedly, making it seem like he's killed the Kings city is a tempting lie. Why would the King let himself be defamed like that in a dream? But this Lie already revealed himself when he broke Arthur's legs. This is no ally here to help him. (Can there be something more powerful that the King who would actually talk to him? If so... then this is very dangerous water he's in and he'd rather deal with an enemy he knows but he doesn't need to worry about that because) It's not real. Could he up and run away? He could try, but what good would running away in a dream do? No, better to steel his mind and face it head on with determination. It is not real.

WHY oh why do all my favorite characters in Malevolent have to be the ones with the unsexiest names. Like alright John is a good, solid name. So is Arthur. Noel and Parker are downright sexy names, and Charlie is good too. Oscar is a good name. Kayne is weird but not unsexy. But me??? ME?? I get fucking WALLACE?? DENNIS??? Unsexiest names of all time. These men live in my brain and their stupid unsexy names haunt my every waking moment.

Wonderful! Had the thought but no time to fully sit and think it through myself. Yeah if he could do that why need outside help (have the hand of malevolence made) to shut her up?

So Kayne can wipe the KiY's memory. Could he wipe Lillith's.

I'm going to go with no.

Here's my rationale:

•Lillith seems too close in power to Kayne

She inhabits all dreams and that seems like a trick to be able to access all realities (she has no difficulty in coming over with Arthur to 13th century England).

Kayne had to purposely figure out how to do that with the greystone. It honestly seems like she was at one point more powerful naturally and Kayne had to make up for that.

Kayne needs outside help to shut her up.

Weird that he needs her to be quiet.

Weird that he can't do it by himself.

Also he actually physically kills her. Which is the second being he kills. I could argue that Yorick's more an object to him that is no longer needed and Lillith's actually the first.

So I think Lillith is probably too close in power to properly wipe memories of. He could probably do it when she was in a weakened state (separated into Scratch and herself), but I don't think he could at her full strength.

TLDR:

I think Lillith is really powerful, and was more powerful than Kayne was at some point. So Kayne couldn't wipe her memories
