OKAY ANYWAY. i crossed out "hate" to say dislike instead bc its not like i hate natsuki, not as much as i hate horropedia AHHAHAHHAHAH, but natsuki just... isn't a fave of mine. there's characters that i like more than her. tsunderes are just not my thing. but that's only when it comes to the canon game! she's really annoying in the game due to the nature of how it's written as a stereotypical dating sim. but i think she can be pretty cool when depicted in fanworks!

this was really fun and interesting to work on, since it was my first time creating banners from scratch and not using a photo i found online as a banner and editing it slightly and calling it a day. i kind of struggled trying to fill the space in the first banner and at first i didn't know what to do with it. also i'm not too satisfied with its colors but i don't really feel like changing it...

i did 2 kinds of pfps where it's a transparent sprite/photo and another where there's a frame. i think ones with transparent backgrounds are rather popular right now on tumblr so i wanted to edit those as well.

Running a blog can sometimes be a tedious process especially if you have other things to do so what i like 2 do is make a posting schedule for certain dates and have my posts organized and ready 2 be posted i have a table spread sheet on my notion of different types of posts and when i posts them also you can utilize the queue feature so you can post without having to forget!!

First drawing is screenshot redraws of Meryl n’ Milly from Trigun for practice since I plan to make more fanart of them so I wanted to get myself familiar with their designs and see how I can draw them in my style!

Second drawing was a birthday drawing for my sister in law! I drew some of her favorite characters which were Nifty from Hazbin Hotel, Hatsune Miku(specifically the Cinnamoroll Miku) and Koro senseii from Assassination Classroom!

Third drawing was a quick drawing I made for my banner on discord, which were lil chibis of Leon n’ Luis from re4, Vash n’ Wolfwood from Trigun and with the addition of my self inserts from each fandom!

Then the last two are birthday drawings for a friendo so that we could match on discord! i use diana marmol's soft brush for everything, usually on 40% opacity (and i make it pretty big) and then i polish it with the eraser tool (using the same brush). i use this whole pack to some extent, but soft brush is my go-to for literally anything. opaque is the second most used brush. usually for clean lines on my merch, or flat coloring.

I have this tinfoil hat theory that the death of customization made people technologically illiterate.

Back when customization was big, it wasn't exactly user friendly. Sure, there were default themes for a lot of places, but if you wanted to truly customize something, you had to learn HTML and image editing.

Not to mention that when PCs were new-ish, the fact that it wasn't just a black screen with green text, but a blank slate that you could put any program with any function on was also novel. Even that degree of customizability was unheard of beforehand. We knew it came with a promise of infinite possibilities, and so if you wanted your PC to do something, you knew that you had to learn how to get it to do it. That was just how it is.

If we wanted a program from the internet, we either got it as an exe file or a zip/rar file. We learnt that there's a free program that can unzip compressed files. Today, ads are the norm, but back then, we learnt that if we see ads, they're most likely a virus and we need to block them with an anti-virus software or a browser extension. Everyone and their mother knew how to torrent and crack programs. They knew it could be done somehow and so they learnt how to do it.

Now, all you can customize are your posts and pfps and banners, and if you're lucky, you can choose between dark or light mode, but that's it. We've been needing to put up with shittier and shittier website updates that slowly but surely took out every morsel of customizability and I think by 2016-ish we just gave in. Of course, OS' followed suit along with everything else, seeing the success of the first things that were sleek and minimalist (I suspect that it was Windows 8 and the Windows Phone as much of a trainwreck as they were at the time or maybe Apple).

And now everything is homogenized. Nowadays I keep meeting so many people who have no idea about 95% of their PCs' functions. They don't know that they can install an adblocker or how to unzip zip files or even that they don't have to put up with Microsoft's bullshit and they can just get rid of the tiles and Xbox-related functions if they don't need it. They've been conditioned to think that customization is at best minimal on any given platform and so they won't even try it.

I often hear that all they do on their PCs is check social media (the same things they can do on their phones as well).

It's genuinely making me sad.

No Hazbin/Helluva fans didn’t harass a black person off the internet just for having an opinion over a cartoon. There is SO MUCH being left out. They’ve made racist assumptions about the characters that are just flat out incorrect(like I said above), denied Viv’s Salvadoran heritage using the “Latino/Latina isn’t a race” argument, and have called black hellaverse fans/black ppl who didn’t agree with them in general the c slur(or have just said that the black ppl who didnt agree with them weren’t black at all). Their pfp was also a racist depiction of black ppl from a cartoon called Fritz the Cat and while that cartoon is a critique of racism, black ppl being depicted as crows still was kinda weird.

And yeah the c slur is their slur to reclaim but it’s still hella icky to call someone a slur just because they don’t share the same parasocial hatred for a cartoon. Especially if it’s your own ppl. They also claim that ppl who like Valentino romanticize/fetishize abuse and or rapists(even tho most Val fans are rape and abuse survivors themselves. Tho even ppl who aren’t victims should still be allowed to like him because he’s a FICTIONAL villain.) and just shit on ppl who like Val in general meanwhile they were a Stella apologist/defender.

They literally used to have a twitter banner that said something like, “black queers have reclaimed stella”. Stella is abusive towards Stolas and literally bragged about committing marital rape against him at the not divorce party. HR has said that Stolas isn’t a victim at all and that Stella has every right to act the way she does towards him along with denying Stolas’ trauma. HR also “rewrote” Asmodueus/Ozzie in a fic to be ok with rape and sex trafficking because they thought it was unrealistic for the king of Lust to be against rape.

Like I said above they’ve literally encouraged VIOLENCE AND HARASSMENT towards us and have block evaded ppl which is violating boundaries. They have spread SO MUCH misinformation about the shows, the creator, the fandom, and the staff behind the shows. We weren’t celebrating them leaving the internet because because they were black nor is it because we think they deserved to be harassed or called slurs. No. We’re celebrating them leaving the because they were just an awful human being.

And I’m tired of you bozos trying to push this narrative. You hellaverse haters claim to care about black and poc ppl but you rlly don’t. You only care about the black ppl who have the same hatred towards us as you.

they dont seem too much of a problem right now considering they get very little notes but they are quite annoying and i dont want them to turn into a bigger problem
