It’s time Seven Some Sentence Sunday! Thank you @lemonlyman-dotcom @nisbanisba and @emsprovisions for tagging me!!

Here’s a snippet from Turn and Burn! I’m going to try to get the first full chapter into posting order sometime within the next couple days.

Roja! You have to get on the trailer!” Carlos is begging now, as he pulls, trying to get the thousand pound animal on the end of the lead rope to yield to him, but she seems to have her mind made up. She is not getting on the trailer. He shifts his weight to one side, pulling her head over in an attempt to throw her off balance so she has to take a step forward. But instead of giving, she yanks her head back and rears; the rope burns Carlos’s hands as she drags him over and pulls free from his grip. She takes three steps back and stops, instinct telling her to run but loyalty making her stay.

Big wet droplets of rain begin to splatter the ground as Carlos collects himself out of the dirt. He reaches for the rope dangling from her halter, but she rears up a second time, snatching the rope away from him, narrowly avoiding capture. Lightning crackles across the sky, illuminating the black night and is followed by a clap of thunder that rattles Carlos to the bone.

“Carlos, we have to go!” Louisa calls, attempting to climb back out of the truck. She sounds substantially more sober than she had when he first shoved her into the back seat, but still drunk.

“Stay in the truck!” Carlos shouts over his shoulder as he grabs hold of Roja’s lead rope. This time she doesn’t pull away. He turns his full attention back to the mare. Her ears are pinned back, flat against her head and she’s pawing at the ground. She’s scared and angry. In the daylight the trailer is manageable, but at night it's a black hole, a tomb containing every evil terror the horse’s mind can conjure up.

Carlos knew this was a bad idea, every single part of him had screamed at him not to come, not to sneak out with his sisters and take Roja with them. Now he’s alone with two drunk sisters and horse that refuses to get back on the trailer. His dad would know how to get her to load, he’d know what to do, but he’s not here. He’s at home and he has no idea they’re out. He thinks about calling him, but if he does that, all four of them are dead meat. Roja rears again, and for a second calling him almost seems worth it.

Carlos grabs hold of Roja’s halter with both hands; she tries to pull away, but he stops her.

“Roja,” he says firmly, forcing calm into his voice, and the horse stops what she’s doing. “I need you to get on the trailer. I need you to trust me. Please.”

A second clap of thunder shakes the earth, and Roja flinches but doesn’t pull away this time. He takes hold of the lead rope once again and turns towards the trailer. The mare hesitates, and for a second he thinks she’s going to try to pull back again, but instead she lowers her head and follows him into the darkness of the trailer, trusting him over her own instincts.

The Tournament

Trigger Warning for Violence

So you know how Danny is portrayed as the ghost king automatically after Pariah is defeated? What if there was more too it. Let’s say that Danny has joined a new hero team and is having fun and then there is some kind of ripple in the infinite realms that all magic users can feel. A tournament is being held to choose the new king. The reason it wasn’t held immediately upon Pariah’s defeat is because it took some time to get into contact with all the participants. Anyone eligible can attend the tournament. This includes those with royal blood, other ancients, anyone who meets a certain power level, anyone that have their own kingdom and people to rule over, or those who faught and sealed Pariah in the first place. Aka, Danny and Vlad. So Danny gets an invite to the tournament.

Now this can go two ways. One is that those ‘invited’ are obligated to attend. Like their core physically hurts if they try to refuse. And the tournament is dangerous. Creatures and demons and eldritch horrors from all over the infinite realms are attending.

Second option. The tournament is optional because it is very cut throat and usually a battle to the death (or in this case, until someone’s core is shattered) and with ghosts being able to survive a lot, the battles often end with missing limbs, spines ripped out, impailment, decapitation, and disembowelment to name a few. So many refuse to participate, not wanting to risk ceasing to exist. The problem though is that a dangerous person is participating (could be Vlad, could be another demonic villain of the JL) and unless they want this person to gain unlimited power through the crown and ring plus an army of undead, Danny has to participate. Or the world is doomed. And each time Danny goes through a trial or battle, (because there could be both.) he returns to the hero group with injures that would have killed a normal person. Practically drenched in his own ecto blood. (That’s if the heroes weren’t forced to watch their friend mid battle, unable to interfere. Man. That would suck if they had to watch his spine get ripped out or something. The screams alone. Maybe split the group so Danny can only bring a certain number of ‘guests’ and they rotate who goes?) And like, imagine what kind of conversation Danny would have. His team panicking about the impending threat of the new ghost king and Dany having to reveal that he is eligible to participate (if some outside force doesn’t reveal it for him) and being forced to compete in a tournament where you either die, or become a murderer.

What if that’s how Pariah got his skeleton army? Those are all his previous competitors who surrendered.#It’s just that he didn’t let them keep their personalities. (Which is something you can do in a core binding slave contract).#That’s why many prefer death.#To have absolute control over someone to be able to strip them of their free will and use their body like a puppet is terrifying.#And even if you lose against so someone who wouldn’t abuse that power #if THEY lose then the soul contract automatically transfers to the new owner. Whether or not the previous owner chose to die.#Poor Danny is gonna be like CHUGGING ecto dejecto just to be able to healed enough for each new round.#Is that healthy? Absolutely not. It’s like living off of monster energy drinks and ibeprophen.#But what choice does he have?#The heroes are very worried about Phantom.#I see the ending as some sort of massive showdown between Phantom and Plasmius #where Danny is barely alive and forced to shatter Vlad’s core to survive. The crowd is cheering #but Danny is practically drowning in his own blood and holding his organs from falling out. Using a spear to hold himself up.#And amidst the cheering. Covered in his own blood and the blood of his enemy. Haunched over himself. He screams.

Thinking about how if Shermy Pines. And like, if he is the baby, he’d be born in the 1970s and be 40 by 2012 and he’s already a grandad. He had to be a teen dad in the 80s (after a severe economic recession) and then his kid ended up being a teen parent by 1999 (Which is 8 years before ANOTHER SEVERE ECONOMIC RECESSION LOL)

Also he was born into a pretty broken family, probably rarely if ever saw his brothers. Do you think he ever saw Stanley before he had to start pretending to be Ford? Do you think Ford visited from college??? Because he didn’t seem confident facing his father until he made millions, so like???

And, like, do you think Filbrick and Caryn changed as parents by the time they raised Shermy? Because it seems like a trend that as parents get older they mellow out a bit, so Shermy probably has a completely different experience with their parents then Stan and Ford, and talking to them is just “is this seriously the same parents???” (Imagine the silent resentment that’d cause 😭😭😭)

Personally I headcannon that Shermy had a daughter (Mabel and Dipper’s mom) and not a son like it says on the wiki because c’mon. Can he just have a daughter. Idk why this is important to me but… c’mon. Can he just have a daughter. It just feels right to me.

finished veilguard. i enjoyed it but it was also real bad. the highs were really high the lows extremely low. the only people they really made this game for was solavellans and it should've stayed as an ao3 fic

#my characters #the two as kids are playing in a park and ladd wanders off and gets uhhh abducted kinda #basically a siren lures him so he goes physically willingly not knowing its a siren singing to him and it leads to his disappearance #for a couple weeks and lass blames herself and when ladd shows back up with no memory of the weeks gone #she just gets so scared and refuses to talk to ladd bc what if she hurts him or gets him hurt #so she goes to therapy for it and then they both get employed at the supernatural bureau of investigations #and then ladd proceeds to be an absolute asshole to everyone without trying hes just really not good at socializing #and so lass and one of the main characters are like... i want to kill ladd so bad hes so annoying #while ladd is like ???????? I AM LITERALLY JUST EXISTING THATS MEAN #then he gets wind of a case the main duo is working on and it feels familiar so he asks to help bc it takes place near where he grew up #and its kids getting abducted and he ends up finding the siren and the memories come back #and so he tells the other two where the kids are most likely bc thats where he was kept #and its just a siren who wanted to be a mom but instead of having her own kids she just lures in kids to take care of #until shes bored and ladd is like ok well that answers a lot and while id love to forgive you and take you in alive #you ruined my sisters childhood and thats something i cant give leniency to #and kills the siren which ends the abductions and then he gets back to work and hugs lass and says nothing about it #and she just writes it off as ladd being weird again cause whatever #anyway thanks they're side characters

#life update if anyone gaf we're now at the point where i know i'm getting the adhd diagnosis and yet i STILL HAVE TO WAIT #like she just isnt sure if it's adhd or add (its norway theyre not gonna update the terms any time soon just roll with it)#and im just like. girl i don't give a fuck #its been so many years i cant do this anymore #we've talked to my fucking kindergarten teachers like 😭 they've investigated my entire life atp #to make sure i did in fact have all these issues from birth #because my word and my mum's word just isn't good enough i guess #like lets rely on the selective memories of random ass people ive encountered growing up this is ASININE #anyway my godmother had a 4h consultation the other day and got diagnosed on the spot #so now my mum is mad at her LMFAO #cause my mum's like. that bitch doesn't even have adhd. shes fine.#which i feel like is probably wrong but i agree with the sentiment #where is the deep dive investigation into her wholeass existence 😭#its cause she got to go private but they refuse to refer me to a private specialist so i have to keep going publuc #public #and if i go private on my own its too expensive plus the waitlist is years long #so. whatever. i guess.#man im so tired.#i will never ever ever forgive my psychiatrist from when i was 15 who said i probably had adhd but because i did ok in school its fine #and they wouldnt set the diagnosis #because the fact that i have papers from when i was 15 saying i don't have it is what's making this all so difficult #even though if you read all the papers it says i hit on EVERY SINGLE POINT #which is why the One Psych who listened to me is absolutely fuming losing her mind cause she can't understand why any of this happened #man i hate my fucking life lol

Hey i am back with a thought.

I know we already mentioned like. The future future plans concerning kids in the New Age storyline.

I was thinking. Who would carry/get the kid in the couples? (Yes this implies mpreg. If this aint your thing no worries you can just ignore everything else :3 )

As you mentioned before. Nightmare and error would most likely adopt.

Between dream and blue i think blue would end up carrying the kid. Dream would feel too locked up and locked down if he had to take it easy. Also. Let this man pamper Blue. He deserves that.

Ccino and Killer. Ccino wouldnt want kids for a LONG time and even just the idea would be slow going. But killer has his soul situation (is that also a situation in this story?) And he is a knight being out and about. Ccino is safely at home and would be the safer option. But they would need a long time before ccino would feel comfortable with the idea.

Horror and Crop. Crop. Hands down. Horror with his work and Crop has help on the farm. But i doubt thwy would get a kid because they have along distance relationship.

Cross and Lust it depends on who wants it more. I can see both being the one who does it mostly because i can see pros and cons for both sides.

Reaper, Geno and Dust. Only one option. Reaper. Dust doesnt have a healthy enough soul and that with his spell around it? No way he can carry a kid. Geno meanwhile only has a soulshard so he isnt healthy enough to carry a kid either. Leaving only Reaper as an option.

Okay that was it. :D

Haha! Omg I keep forgetting this is smth I can think about! Usually it's not my scene so it might not cone up much in-stiry but it IS how I picture the cast having kids in this one, so!!! We're diving in!!

With Dream and Blue it's a bit hard, because I think that Dream would be really really worried about Blue the entire time. Like, terrified his magic would accidentally trigger the whole Twin thing. But, ultimately, yeah, probably Blue! Dream *would* get too restless, and Blue rlly does deserve to be pampered hehe- (I just think Blue would have to really really talk Dream into it. Dream does NOT want to be like his mother anymore.)

Killer and Ccino... let's go with a yes on Killer's soul situation, so Ccino would be their only option. But, like you said, it would be ages before they even thought about discussing the idea, let alone actually having a kid.

Ohhh yeah. I see Horror and Crop as the ones least likely to have kids (as u said, long Distance relationship, but also they just have to much on their plates? They're practical guys and focus on their work and existing families first. Plus, someone has to be the cool uncles to their nieces and nephews!) But definitely Crop. Especially because Horror is pretty low on natural magic as-is and even though his soul is healthy, his body might not even be able to form a firm ecto, let alone anything safe to harbor a forming soul. (Unlike Ccino, Horror was born that way, and the injury didn't help lmao-)

Cross and Lust? I think they'd both regularly get baby fever, but neither of then would be ready to settle down for a *while* in that way, so I think they'd push off the question until years later. Then when it comes up, they 'fight' over it. Insisting that they should carry- I think they'd end up choosing Cross though! As much as Lust seems like the more convenient option, as he's not a knight, Cross is just built different and insists that if anything goes wrong he wants to be the one it happens to. Which, ofc, leads to him doing training whilst in the early stages until someone (probably Killer or Dust) notices he's a little off and then Cross admits he's got a soulling. He did not expect to immediately get horrified looks (because they were fighting someone with a lil guy inside them, not because he has a lil guy) or to immediately get ushered out of training and to his room because??? Idiot??? What were you thinking??? Cross is the worst at staying off his duties, but his brother's have him covered, thank god-

And yep, put perfectly! Reaper is so genuinely the only option! It leads to some odd interactions, since Reaper can't exactly stop being King, but he manages shockingly well and has Geno there to help him (and probably later on Dust, since Night isn't about to leave Dust out of that due to work-) And. I like to think these three in particular have multiple kids perhaps, Kane and then another, and it's kinda a running joke that Reaper's the one hauling them around lmao- (Also very convenient! Because Reaper is the one with death magic in his soul, the kids are effectively immune to it! They were made from that stuff basically, so ofc they're fine!)

“Hey, buddy. Why are you crying?” Bruce asked. His voice sounded small and scared and familiar. “Dad, what if I’m still dead?” Jason said in one breath. Bruce was surprised for only a second before looking at Jason seriously. He walked up to his son, who was almost his height now and held his shoulders. “Jason, what are you talking about, son?” Jason tried to explain, but the words were stuck in his throat. Bruce noticed his struggle and slowly pushed him into a hug. “It’s ok. I don’t know what’s going on. But we will figure it out.” Bruce said. “It’s ok.”
