the reason why sam and dean’s unhealthy dynamic doesn’t need to be fixed is because they both (unconsciously) crave power imbalance but for completely different reasons

dean didn’t have much power when he was younger since john took his control away from him. which is why he seeks power/control via hunting, violence and his relationship with sam. dean’s repressed sadistic tendencies, his love for hunting, his enjoyment of torturing & killing souls in hell come from his repressed need to be in control

and sam, as jared said, wants to restrain his physical power. not only because he doesn’t feel comfortable in his body, being too big and intimidating on the outside but feeling smaller and craving safety on the inside. but also because of his guilt and wanting to prove to himself, and to dean, that he’s good. that dean can trust him. it makes him seek comfort in being punished, in being restrained and feeling smaller than he is, but dean is the only person who can give him what he needs because dean is also the only person sam trusts and submits to. as twisted as it may be, but dean’s control over him is the only thing that gives him a feeling of safety he’s always craved

they complement each other in this fucked up way, that’s why their dynamic cannot exist without a certain amount of power imbalance

My flavour of Silvergifting is not Celebrimbor being heads over heels for Annatar while Annatar only pretends. It's Annatar being absolutely obsessively consumed with Celebrimbor and his work and not leaving his side for a moment until Celebrimbor falls for him.

Celebrimbor greatly appreciates that the Valar sent him this beautiful Emissary, and he certainly finds him lovely but he's a little bit too clingy sometimes, he just keeps staring at him, it's a bit unnerving. He falls for him eventually but it takes a while.

Meanwhile Annatar is obsessed with earning Celebrimbor's full affection, he knows he can't flounder him like Melkor did with Feanor. And then there's another layer with him planning to ensnare Celebrimbor and the Eregion elves with the Rings, he is NOT normal about him.

Logan falls first. He falls so HARD for Wade that, as an autistic mess who doesn't know how to deal with his emotions and regulate them, he cries. so. often. Just to try feeling a little bit better because yeah, it's TOO MUCH for him to love someone like this

he wants to love him, held him, kiss him, fuck him, be a part of him in every way and every sense possible (to the point that if he can melt into Wade he'll be so damn happy). But at the same time it hurt to not be capable of doing so because he doesn't know how to express his feelings. He cries from love yes but also from exhaustion, anger, and frustration and he knows that makes it difficult to understand what is happening in his head. Wade sees him cry so much and he tries, he tries very hard but it's not always enough for Logan so he starts helping him to understand himself and his emotions better

And then for the first time he observes Logan for real, full focus: starts to see patterns, habits, movements, sounds, notice things he do and doesn't and slowly but surely he knows the true Logan better, so much that in a blink of an eye he start to fall in love with him too

And now he understand why love can be so overstimulating

But they are two in this and suddenly it's much more bearable when they are not alone
