ever since that "x please save me, please save me x" meme started circulating i've been thinking about how when i was in the third grade some kid i knew said something similar and it fucking killed me given the context of it

i got a whole pickle in my school lunch one day (i fucking love pickles) and i bit into it and some juice squirted out onto the kid's ar across the lunch table and he started FREAKING THE FUCK OUT

he started yelling "BURTS BEES BURTS BEES PLEASE SAVE ME HELP ME BURTS BEES" while frantically searching through his backpack for burts bees brand moisturizer or something to rub where the pickle juice had hit him

he kept saying "IT'S NOT FUNNY!!! IT'S NOT FUNNY STOP LAUGHING" but like. i dont care whether it was third grade me or present me. a third grader getting hit with pickle juice and screaming about burts bees as a result cant not be funny as fuck

Honestly a favorite line is so hard to choose, there’s so many that live in my mind rent-free,,, hmmmm, honestly it’s harder because of aforementioned Atrocious MemoryTM

We’re gonna call him Jonk.” Bit Is always in my mind but also moments like “Would you like to hold hands and talk about you feelings” and just moments and interactions between John and Sherlock are all just great. I also do love when Mariana talks to Archie in Spanish, she’s so funny (I do speak Spanish so I get to enjoy those in their full glory pff)

Per this video and some of the comments on it my new conspiracy theory is that Burt's Bees did something to their lip balm formula to make it actually dry users' lips out and create a dependency on it. Planning to test this out myself as I've been using Burt's Bees lip balm for years. I love it for the flavors but do frequently feel the need to reapply, which until now I had thought was just because I was autistically sensitive to the perception of less than balmy lips. Starting tomorrow I will not be using it to see how my lips fare on their own.

I do have some Aquaphor healing ointment I can use to protect and treat my lips if that turns out to be necessary. I've got a leg up on the cold, dry winter air with my face masks so doing this now isn't really a concern.

Halloween Progress Report #1: Accent Cosmetics

I found the perfect face makeup and nail polish for my Lagoona costume at the drugstore today! We've got...

The Covergirl Trunaked eyeshadow palette, "That's Rad" (not quite as bright or saturated in real life)

The Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Pearl nail polish, "Rare Red Pearl"

And the Burt's Bees gloss lip crayon, "Pacific Coast."

The names being as fitting as they are was purely coincidental. I just thought they looked the closest to what I'm going for.

I'm not used to wearing this stuff, and I'm garbage at nail polish application, but I'm doing it for authenticity.

Bonus: Each individual eyeshadow has a name that works well with Lagoona's personality, too!
