Per this video and some of the comments on it my new conspiracy theory is that Burt's Bees did something to their lip balm formula to make it actually dry users' lips out and create a dependency on it. Planning to test this out myself as I've been using Burt's Bees lip balm for years. I love it for the flavors but do frequently feel the need to reapply, which until now I had thought was just because I was autistically sensitive to the perception of less than balmy lips. Starting tomorrow I will not be using it to see how my lips fare on their own.

I do have some Aquaphor healing ointment I can use to protect and treat my lips if that turns out to be necessary. I've got a leg up on the cold, dry winter air with my face masks so doing this now isn't really a concern.

Bought some Burts Bees stuff other than L'Occitane(which is crazy expensive but so good) this is my favorite brand for hand creams and unbeaten for lip balm for me

been having lip peeling/cracking/chapping problems for a few weeks and mom gave me some coconut oil lip balm and aaaaaahhhhhhh relief!

my burt’s bees just wasn’t doing the job lately with how bad my lips decided to suddenly get. x_x; lips finally starting to feel normal again.
