tonight i’m watching HIGHLANDER (1986) which i’m fairly certain i’ve never seen before but the parking lot sword fight is familiar to me so i must have watched the beginning once. at one time this was on the shortlist of movies for a prospective podcast a college friend and i were talking about doing back in like 2015 (before everybody was doing a podcast but certainly on the upswing) where we would watch & discuss culturally relevant films that i, a film major, had never seen. of course we never did it and i never watched this movie. but you can imagine my delight when queen started right away

No but seriously, if it looks a lot like AI, I always visit the blog, and if it turns out to be AI*, I block. Yes, I have done this on blogs I have followed and liked, unfortunately, but I think it is extremely important to stand firm on this topic until they make some universal laws that work to protect both artist's (those who draw, write, act, etc.) and just people who are affected by it.
to clear it all up, yes this is gen AI I'm talking about
*If I feel like it but I'm not sure I always leave the blog be, but if I'm 💯 I block, I feel horrible for the artists whose style have been stolen so much :(
**I always look at how old the blog is and if some of the posts are tagged as AI or if some of the older posts have some CLEAR AI signs, but clear clear signs
Also remember, don't harass people who post AI, just block them and support an actually artist who actually deserves your attention, that's what makes a difference

I know this is a rly basic idea, but it’s honestly so wild to me that the brain works like this. Like, I will be struggling for words in my second language, confused and frustrated, and then I listen to someone speak in that language for 10 mins and it’s as though it unlocks a vault in my mind and I’m back to being fluent. Like huH???

finally had to bite the bullet and buy a new laptop since my old one is Literally just hanging on by a single hinge and a hope and it's SUCH a paaain setting up and transferring all my shit to the new one 😔
#especially since i only have like a dinky little usb drive with like No Space to do the transferring#anyways yeah my old laptop is Completely busted#for one like 80% of the keyboard keys doesn't work and i've had to use a usb keyboard for like 6 years#which is a pain every time i actually need to bring my laptop anywhere#which was a lot seeing as i was in uni lol#the speakers crackles so i Have to use headphones if i wanna watch something and not feel like dying over the audio quality#a corner of the screen is cracked#the fans sounds like a jet engine#oh and as mentioned the screen is literally only hanging on by a Single Hinge :'^)#the worst part is that it was Really Expensive cause i was like im gonna splurge on something more costly#so that i can use it for for years and years and then it started being fucked up just like only a couple of Months after i got it 😭😭😭#like i bought it february of like? 2018??19??? so i've still gotten some use out of it but it has honestly Sucked the Whole Time#ANYWAYS anyways it was now at a point where i was actively fearing for it crashing and burning just by looking at it wrong#so since it's my birthday (tomorrow!) i decided to buy myself a new one as a birthday present ^^#hashtag i am now financially ruined tihi#does fish make noise??
