I just watched the empty man and like I expected a shitty bye bye man-esque horror movie where like teenagers summon ghost ghost starts to kill teenagers they stop it whatever and that is not at all what happened despite what the beginning wants you to believe. Anyway the important part is that in the credits I was like "oh shit it's based off a comic book? A Boom comic? Crazy" I've only read one boom comic so I had no idea. But the whiplash I got finding out it was written by CULLEN BUNN? I sounded insane making that realization

Great Crested Flycatcher, early-mid June 2021, Bunn's Creek.

We had a hard time seeing this bird since he was so strongly silhouetted against the sky. My partner AW (who has disturbingly good eyesight and also grew up with wild birds) did correctly identify it as a flycatcher though!

We identified him by first inputting his location and colours into Merlin Bird ID, then listening to the songs of the most similar-looking results.

Viewed from below, we couldn't see much of a crest on this Great Crested Flycatcher, but the song is a giveaway.
