So what is the Dimension Rulers AU?

The dimension rulers au is again basically all in the name..

But its about all these different worlds with a ruler in each one of them.

Caine is the ruler of the Weird Dimension. A world where logic doesn't exist and anything is scarringly possible.

Ragatha is the ruler of the Star Dimension. A calm, peaceful, dimly lit world with beautiful night lights in the sky.

Gangle is the ruler of the Fear Dimension. A dark and horrific world where your worst fears consume you (probably being literally)

Zooble is ruler of the Glitched Dimension. A bright world that feels exactly like a video game. Just the extremely buggy kind-

🚪Pomni x Reader Oneshot Error 🃏

Pomni was slowly getting used to living in the circus, although she did not give up hope that she would be able to get out. But she began to notice something strange. Sometimes, when she was in the circus, she felt someone's eyes on her, and sometimes she was ready to swear that she saw someone who was not one of the inhabitants of the circus. When she told Ragatha about this, she reassured her, saying that it could just be a glitch or Jax was just making fun of her. With this, Pomni continued to calm herself down every time she felt someone's eyes on her again when she was alone in the room or when she noticed someone's silhouette at the end of the corridor that disappeared as soon as she blinked.

But when she was in her room, when she seemed to be asleep, she felt that frightening feeling again. Her eyes were closed and she mentally convinced herself that it was just her imagination, but she felt that someone was looking at her. In the end, unable to stand it, she opened her eyes, but as soon as she did, her gaze collided with the gaze of unfamiliar eyes. Pomni screamed, jumping out of bed, while you flew away from her, laughing softly.

"Darling, you shouldn't scream like that, it's like you've seen a ghost, and I wasn't even trying to scare you"

"Who are you?! And what are you doing in my room?!"

"Oh, don't worry, I didn't have any plans to do anything nasty, I'm just bored, and you're a new face and I'm wondering what to expect from you, I'm already pretty bored with the others here"

"Wait a minute… So you're not a character… And not an NPC?.."

"Nope, at least that's what I think, but I wouldn't trust what's going on in that head"

You laughed as you continued to float in the air. It was like you were lying with your legs crossed, and Pomni was looking at you. You looked like you could be one of the characters, but you were buggy from time to time. Your body seemed to double, and the sound of your voice sometimes seemed to twitch. It was like you were a glitchy character in a video game, and with everything going on, that could very well be the case.

"So… Who are you…?"

I'm an Error, something like a glitch in this world, but you can call it (Y/N), it'll be nicer that way"

"If you're Error, then why do you have a name?"

"I gave it to myself, calling myself Error became quite depressing at some point, so I decided I needed a name"

"So it was you who scared me?.."

"Scare? Oh, honey, I had no intention of scaring you, if I wanted to scare you, I would have done it more creepy, and I was just watching you, Caine doesn't know about my existence, but I don't think he could have done anything to me, but I don't want to date him. He's still an idiot, so I came more openly when you were alone to reduce the chance that he would find out about me, I didn't think you'd be so scared, but I admit it was charming"

Pomni was looking at you, still hanging in the air and smiling a flirtatious smile. It was hard for her to believe that the bug of the digital world was flirting with her, but that was probably the least of her problems. But maybe you could help her.

"So… What do you usually do here? Just watching everyone?.."

"Yeah, I wander here and there, sometimes I wander through the void, sometimes I wander through the locations that Caine uses for its quests, I wander through the circus, you have no idea how boring it is here, I don't even have anyone to talk to, only when someone new appears, then I can watch the newcomer until I get bored, but you're the only one who noticed me at all, usually the others ignore my gaze"

"Did you see a way out here?"

There was hope in her voice. Perhaps you, who have had the opportunity to visit everywhere, could know how to get out of here. She watched as a thoughtful expression appeared on your face, as if you were trying to remember if you had ever seen something like this. While you were silent, she saw how your body was doubling up and it started to bother her. Finally, you're talking again.

"Just the way out that you've already found, cutie, but as you know, there's only one name for the way out, but I doubt I could figure out what the way out is, considering that I theoretically can't leave this digital world even if I find a way out of here"

"Okay… This was to be expected… But please stop calling me by those nicknames… I have a name…"

"I know, but I can't help myself, you're too sweet for me to resist, so forgive me my little weakness"

You winked at her. You definitely kept flirting with her, which made her wonder if you were really just a glitch in the digital world.

She was just about to say something else, to ask you another question, when you jerked violently, standing up.

"I think it's time for me to go, I don't want your new friends to interfere with our communication"

You blew her a kiss, still smiling.

"See you later, dollface"

You disappeared as if you weren't even in her room, and Pomni heard a knock on her room door. She didn't understand why you were being so flirtatious with her, but if she could blush, she would definitely blush. You were strange, as if you were alien to the whole place, she didn't understand your goals, but maybe, just maybe, your presence would help her feel better at least a little. At least she hasn't felt any worse from your presence so far, and the realization that she wasn't going crazy calmed her down.

fuck the jax is an npc theory. kinger is an npc in this essay i will-

right off the bat, kinger has a pretty obvious design similarity to caine. i'm not talking about the gloves here, as almost every human character has them (with gangle and ragatha being the exceptions). i'm talking about the eyes. these two have the exact same type of eyes, as you can see in their offical renders. sorry that the images look weird btw i have no idea what happened.

you can also see this similarity pretty clearly in their 2D art

but it doesn't end there, either. caine and kinger both have a tendency to zone out randomly...

there's also existing official art of kinger with his own cane, not unlike the one caine has.

2. during the hallway scene in the pilot, we can see a crossed-out doorplate depicting a black queen chess piece, one that looks very similar to kinger. same robe, same eyes, same general body shape aside from their heads...and considering that all the other characters look so different from one another, it really stands out.

while the easiest explanation would be that they had some sort of connection in the real world (most people believe they're a married couple), how would the game know that? would it just assume that because they logged on at the same time? perhaps queenie and kinger are both NPCs and that's why they look so similar.

(i know that NPCs don't usually have their own rooms, but caine did mention a possibility of getting NPCs and humans mixed up, so let's assume that he ends up granting said NPC a room if he does get confused)

granted, not all NPC/AI characters have to have those big buggy eyeballs. the candy people certainly don't. but there are some certain characters that we can compare this potential trio to...

that's right: the gummy gators. max, chad and gummigoo are all very similar in appearance, and in that sense, they're all part of a group. now you can imagine it's the same case with queenie, kinger, and caine. they all look alike because they're grouped together.

3. as jax says, "ol' kinger over there's supposedly been here the longest". that statement is vague enough that it could very well mean that he's been there since the very beginning, in other words, from the moment the game was created.

here's what i think happened: caine, kinger, and queenie were all AIs programmed to run the circus together, but queenie discovered she was a game character, possibly the same way gummigoo did, and got so existential about it that she abstracted. this is of course assuming that NPCs can abstract, which, knowing how fucked-up this show is, they most likely can.

after queenie's abstraction, kinger got mixed up with the humans and now believes that he is one. because of how forgetful he is, it's not out of the question for him to have forgotten the role he was programmed for and ended up among the human characters. so now caine's been left without any assistance. that may even be why he has bubble, to fill that empty space.

(don't take this too seriously btw i'm just spouting nonsense.)

(Pomni seems pretty book smart, but also hands on based on what we have seen from the glitches. I feel like she would be a great artficer while she messes with the state of reality.)

Zooble: Monk-open hand [or wizard]

(Zooble loves to keep to herself and has shown herself choking Jax so the way of the open hand sounded fitting. I have not seen enough of her to know otherwise, but I know she likes her time alone.)

Kinger: Ranger- swarm keeper

(That man is a buggy boi lover. Enough said.)

Gangle: Bard-college of creation or wizard-scribe or transmuter

(Gangles was honestly the hardest for me to decide, but I feel like bard is the best based on her drama masks. She also draws so I feel like college of creation is a good fit! She also seems rather intelligent so I think she would be a good wizard as well! Similar to Zooble we have not seen enough of her yet other than her being pushed around by Jax. I look forward to her episode about whether she deserves to be happy )

Food for thought, but what if in TADC, Jax is actually supposed to be the villain/antagonist? And Caine is more of an anti-hero/villain? Future proofing...

I was thinking about episode 2 last night and some ideas are running through my head.

SPOILERS for episode 2, so go watch it:

So Jax was being chaotic evil throughout the whole episode. Here's what I thought of:

Jax is bored, on the verge of madness. He went chaotic to stop himself from abstracting

Did Jax having something to do with Kaufmo? He did not attend his funeral

Furthermore, here's some other things I noted

I love how frivolously some people toss around abstraction, like it's no big deal... THE CHARACTERS CONSIDER KAUFMO EFFECTIVELY DEAD. That means there is no "cure" for abstraction. Characters that abstract lose themselves permanently. They all merge together and become a collective blob of insanity in the cellar (or at least, that's what I get from that scene). Caine has not figured out how to fix this. This isn't some symbiote-goo-thing or thing you can just recover from because the plot demands it (not saying abstractions couldn't potentially regain some sense of self, I'm just saying abstraction is VERY complicated)

As more food for thought, I wonder if in a future episode an abstraction will regain some sense of self and cause trouble for Caine and the circus. I'd imagine Caine would put them back in the cellar, however, on the grounds that it could destabilize the entire digital circus. Off topic, but I needed to get this out of my head.

The Amazing Digital Circus is buggy. Good Lord, imagine getting out of bed and no clipping into one of your things...

Jax most likely has a reason for his disruptive behavior. Also I have to chuckle at people who assumed he was sad from the teaser. Red Sun intensifies...

So is Gangle losing her comedy mask going to become a recurring gag? I feel bad for her... But that is funny, not going to lie.

Why do I get the feeling no one actually likes Jax? The only one that hasn't said anything is Kinger... But he's mad.

We are most likely going to get Kinger with a shotgun in a future episode... Assuming that wasn't an outright joke.

Kinger being one of the oldest cast members has merit to it, given what he said to Ragatha.

Pomni is familiar with video games and how they work. I love how she says she's not an expert. Pomni, that exploit you did was pretty good, something I could see a speed runner doing. Headcanon: she used to watch YouTube videos on this kind of stuff.

Caine's dialogue at the end continues to convince me he's not actually the "villain." The fact that he's worried about losing track of who's human and who's an NPC is very interesting. I wonder if the pause he had relates to a past issue.

Also, JEEZ, what did Bubble even say that warranted being censored that hard?

And that's my thoughts on episode 2. If episode 3 proves me wrong... Ok. That's fine, as this is just speculation on my part. If you any thoughts or have a different idea, speak your mind.

World One = The Amazing Digital Circus Grounds

Objective:

Get to the first location of the road trip without experiencing too much road rage.

Chapter I: The Amazing Digital Road Trip Begins!

~~~~

The first episode — or chapter — pays homage to the Unikitty episode “Roadtrip Ruckus”, Teen Titan Go’s “Road Trip”, and the basic comedic road trip tropes we see in movies.

The episode begins with the Amazing Digital Circus members, or as I'll be calling them from here on out, Team Circus, taking a 15-hour drive to their very first destination, after packing their belongings and installing the first jewel into the secret door, after a brief discussion of what they'll be doing during the trip. Just as they depart The Grounds, all eight members of Team Circus receive a notification for their first objective on their communicator bracelets. Poor Caine thought it'd be a piece of cake…

At first, it's about what you'd expect it to be; road trip games (Jax’s favorite being punch buggy, giving him the perfect opportunity to pick on Gangle), some funny stories to share, Kinger talking about how the Bee Movie is such an underrated classic of the 2000’s, Ragatha reading a book in the car (and ultimately getting carsick as a result), and of course, road trip songs. The diplomats from the other dimension are acting as the surrogate audience, helping them out along the way via their Velcro communicator bracelets that Team Circus is also wearing on their wrists.

Unfortunately, things start to get out of hand really quickly, as Caine soon begins to develop road rage as a result of the antics of the other six members, something that has never happened before. Eventually, the Magical Digital Van gets a flat tire, so they have to stop at a gas station for repairs. While at the gas station, Jax and Pomni bond for a bit as they laugh at off-brand snacks, Ragatha and Gangle try to have a heart-to-heart with one another, Kinger and Zooble fix the van while discovering the mechanic is a shady scammer, and Caine is just freaking out over his newfound emotions as Bubble tries to calm him down.

Afterwards, when the Van is seemingly fixed after Kinger, Zooble, and the mechanic make a compromise, Team Circus causes even more of a ruckus, much to Caine's annoyance and Bubble's concern, all before the Van breaks down in the middle of the road (as well as earning a second flat tire), and Caine is not happy about this, throwing in some colorful (albeit censored with old timey car noises) vocabulary all the while. As the other members try to figure out what the heck just happened, Zooble reveals that they and Kinger had a bit of a squabble with the mechanic, making them immediately come to the conclusion that they have both been tricked by the con artist of a mechanic, who removed some of the parts of the engine to sell on eBay. “Thanks a lot, you two.” were the words said by Jax, as the others watched the mechanic scammer drive off with the missing parts, hollering back, “Yeah, thanks a lot, you two! Hahahahahahaaaa!!!!”

Uh oh.

This was all within Caine's earshot, who now wants payback. A car chase ensues, all to the tune of Lynyrd Skynyrd's “Free Bird”, as Caine tries to catch the fake mechanic and retrieve back the stolen parts for the engine, Zooble and Kinger having looks of guilt all the while. After Team Circus catches up to the fake mechanic (the Van falling apart by the seams from exhaustion in the process), Caine demands that he give back the parts. Naturally, a heated argument ensues, until Pomni discovers that they weren't the only victims of stolen car parts. This is where she puts two and two together and informs the rest of Team Circus of her findings.

It turns out that when The Magical Digital Van got a flat tire as result of a rusty nail being placed in the middle of the road, conveniently a couple of yards from the mechanic shop and local gas station, something the fake mechanic did on purpose. And he had been doing this to the other vehicles too; apparently, this was all part of a conniving scheme to sell used car parts on the black market to unsuspecting customers in order to gain some money.

As the fake mechanic attempts to run away, knowing damn well he had been caught, Ragatha apprehends him and forces him to give them back the stolen car parts, as well as the ones stolen prior to the encounter. He complies, defeated.

Pomni is congratulated by the diplomats and Team Circus for her cleverness, while the fake mechanic fixes The Magical Digital Van for real as he replaces both flattened tires and puts back the stolen parts. Some NPC police officers arrest the fake mechanic shortly after, with Pomni having called the authorities in the meantime.

Of course, Zooble and Kinger aren't let off the hook completely; Caine scolds the both of them for not being street smart about the matter (tho Bubble asks him to go easy on them this time, as no one could have foreseen this outcome). So all's well that ends well, and after several more hours of casual hijinks, they finally reach their first destination. The episode ends here.

I did the thing.

@my-quirk-is-fred, I finally finished drawing your Amazing Digital Circus OC Y/N, or as I'll be calling her, Yinn (you don't have to use this name, this is just easier to say). I did make some minor changes (which I will explain the reasons behind), but the majority of her design remains the same.

Here's your baby. As I said, I made some minor changes to the design. I made the black and grey parts stitched patches and I even added them to the hat/hood for aesthetic reasons, and for the more noticeable changes, I gave her a patchwork-y white tank top in place of her midriff and g-string were and a heart where the boob window was.

Now, the reason behind this change is simple: The Amazing Digital Circus is a kids game, as shown via the censors over swear words and when one flips the bird. And if swearing isn't allowed, as shown by Pomni's sailor mouth shanty, I don't think anything provocative would be allowed, lest a massive censor bar be put over her at all times. Also, along with her design, I also gave her some abilities, with said abilities being inspired by Zipperman from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure and Buggy the Clown from One Piece.

I noticed the prominence of zippers on her body, so I decided to lean into that heavily with her moveset. Fo example;

Zipper Portal Manifestation

This ability allows Yinn to open zippers on any surface she touches, either with her hands or the tip of her hoodie. These zippers act as portals that allow her, her friends and even inanimate objects to hop from place to place. The main downside is that she needs to know where she's going, otherwise she'll wind up going nowhere. This ability can also be used to do this;

Harmless Self Dismemberment

Much like Buggy the Clown, Yinn can willingly dismember herself without causing any harm to her, with the main difference being that she does so with her zippers. She can also apply zippers on her body to prevent herself from getting hit (by zipping herself open) and using the length of the zipper to increase the range of her attacks (ala Zipperman from Jojo). On top of that, she can have her limbs circle around her to create a vortex of pain, which is doubled by the blades she can extend from her wrists.

So basically I call it the Buggy Digital Circus. As the name suggests, there's lots of bugs and glitches.

Caine is dead. Because of this, there aren't any adventures, nor does anything get fixed. All NPCs that exist have had their files corrupted and no longer work (rip Dr football).

If someone does this idea, I think either Pomni, Ragatha or Jax would try to get ringmaster power and try to accommodate everyone the way they actually need to be.

All abstraction gets undone and everyone that went insane are just trapped in the cellar. Sometimes people can hear them yelling. Since abstraction isn't possible anymore, it's not a threat. Death is, though. When you die, you don't respawn.

Human bodies and digital avatars kind of meld together, so for example, Gangle has her human body, but she can't see it. It manuvers with her avatar. Since she's the least human, she has fingers but they're invisible and she doesn't know how to use them, etc etc. You can actually touch the human body on all the circus members, it basically overlaps with the digital avatar, creating a weird amalgamation of invisible human body parts and digital being.

Zooble and Kinger have it really weird, by the way. Kinger has invisible arms and Zooble can't change their parts without pulling on a real limb.

Also, they can feel the headsets on their faces. The problem is, is that it's the only thing on their bodies that they can't grab at, so no escaping for them.

Also, pain exists! They still don't need to eat or drink, but sleep is important. Everyone is very sensitive to pain and tries to avoid it as much as possible. Ragatha's mom instincts go wild really often lmao

Outside is dangerous too! For some reason I decided that if they went outside, a file would temporarily corrupt and they'd be in a coma for a few days. Like, immediately pass out outside and someone has to become a vampire and stay away from the sunlight to get them.

Again, if someone decides to draw this or make a fic or something, I'd love to see it because I can't make content of it myself (I have no idea how I would draw it lol)
