I have made yet another random observationwith genji new highlight intro!
Genji's arms are bigger then his head
And according to Google the average male head is roughly the circumference of 22 1/2 inches
So approximately would be around 23 to 24 inches in circumference (more likely less then but even just 20 inches flat is ALOT as you will see)
Also I didn't go over his hair with the line because your face usually ends at the cheek bones, so going over the hair would mess up my already horrid math
So safe to say, genji is VERY STRONG, despite his shimada ankles! xD
#overwatch#genji#overwatch 2#genji shimada#genji analysis#budget analysis#even though im not to keen on the new highlight intro#i do like it on the skins you can see his face#mainly because of his expressions

Empowering India: A Detailed Overview of the Union Budget 2024-25
The Union Budget 2024-25 presented by the Indian government marks a significant step towards realizing the vision of Viksit Bharat by 2047. With an ambitious theme of empowerment and inclusivity, the budget outlines a comprehensive roadmap for sustainable economic development, addressing key areas like agriculture, manufacturing, MSMEs, energy, and infrastructure.
Economic Overview and Fiscal Health
The budget estimates a fiscal deficit of 4.9% of GDP, aiming to reduce it below 4.5% by the next year. With low and stable inflation, moving towards a 4% target, the economic environment is conducive to growth. The capital expenditure outlay remains at 3.4% of GDP, consistent with the Interim Budget 2024. The focus is maintaining macroeconomic stability while fostering growth and development across various sectors.
Key Direct Tax Proposals
Direct tax proposals in the budget are designed to reduce the compliance burden and promote entrepreneurial spirit. Highlights include the rationalization of capital gains tax, abolition of angel tax for all investors, and a reduction in the corporate tax rate for foreign companies from 40% to 35%. The standard deduction for salaried employees is increased from INR 50,000 to INR 75,000, further simplifying the new tax regime.
Indirect Tax Proposals
Indirect tax proposals focus on simplifying the customs duty structure, removing duty inversion, and reducing disputes. Exemptions in customs duty are proposed for critical sectors such as cancer medicines, mobile industry, marine exports, and energy transition, aiming to enhance competitiveness and support strategic sectors.
Sectoral Focus and MSMEs
The budget places special emphasis on MSMEs and labour-intensive manufacturing, aiming to boost financing, regulatory changes, and technology support. Initiatives include the Credit Guarantee Scheme for MSMEs, new assessment models, and voluntary closure of LLPs. The focus on MSMEs is pivotal for generating employment and enhancing the sector’s global competitiveness.
Infrastructure and Urban Development
Infrastructure development is a cornerstone of the budget, with a provision of USD 1.35 trillion, constituting 3.4% of GDP. Significant investments are planned for rural connectivity, urban development, water management, and housing. The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Urban 2.0 aims to address the housing needs of 10 million urban poor and middle-class families with an investment of USD 121.95 billion.
Energy Security and Innovation
Energy security is another critical area, with initiatives such as the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojna providing free electricity to 10 million households. The budget also emphasizes innovation and research, with operationalizing the Anusandhan National Research Fund and private sector-driven research initiatives.
Trade and Global Investment
The budget aims to promote trade and create an enabling environment for business by simplifying rules for foreign direct investment and overseas investments. The strategic focus is on attracting global investments while nurturing indigenous entrepreneurship, fostering a vibrant ecosystem of innovation and job creation.
Conclusion
The Union Budget 2024-25 is a comprehensive plan designed to propel India towards sustainable and inclusive economic development. With a clear focus on key sectors and strategic initiatives, the budget lays down a robust framework for achieving the goal of Viksit Bharat by 2047, positioning India as a strong and resilient economy on the global stage.

Union Budget 2023–24 Highlights & Complete Budget Analysis
Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the Budget 2023-24 on 1st February at 11 AM. This is the first budget in “Amrit Kaal” as India is going to turn 100 years old in 25 years and the last full-fledged budget before the elections next year.
The finance minister said that our economy is on the right track and heading toward a bright future. Adopting seven priorities to guide India through the “Amrit Kaal”, including inclusive development, reaching the last mile, infrastructure and investment, unleashing the potential, green growth, youth power, and financial sector.
INCOME TAX CHANGES
Govt. has tried to boost consumption through the middle class with a change in the tax slabs.
There are a few incentives to be offered to shift to the new tax regime. The old regime however remains acceptable.
There’ll be no Income Tax for salaries up to 7 LPA in the new tax regime as the rebate limit has increased from Rs 5 LPA to 7 LPA.
Individuals earning more than Rs 5 crore PA, pay a surcharge of 25% under the new regime as opposed to 37% under the old regime.
The tax collected at source (TCS) of 20% will be applied on foreign remittances to tax foreign holidays and expenses and realty investments abroad. This will exclude payments for education and health.
The idea behind slashing taxes is to increase the disposable income in the hands of the consumer, raise demand and boost consumption. The focus of the old regime was tax-saving instruments. The new generation is looking at different investment options, not necessarily tax saving.
WHAT GETS CHEAPER AND WHAT GETS COSTLIER
Hattrick of boosting Capital Expenditure, Slashing Taxes, and reducing Fiscal Deficit will benefit India’s economy a lot. The Capital Expenditure (CapEx) is going to raise by 33% to ₹10 lakh crore for the next fiscal year starting from 1st April, which is 3.3% of the country’s economic output. But, on an individual level, we all wait for the list of items that get costlier and cheaper.
Customs duty cut on components for TVs, Mobile phones to boost domestic production. Also on machinery and components for the manufacture of Lithium-ion batteries in the use of Electric Vehicles
Customs duty increase on Kitchen chimneys, Electric Vehicles, imitation jewelry, and precious metals. Cigarettes to become dearer.
OTHER SCHEMES AND BENEFITS
Marginalized sections Including Farmers, Women, and Sr. Citizens will be benefitted with the senior Citizen Deposit Limit increased to 30 lakhs from 15 lakhs and with a lock-in period of 5 years.
The Monthly Income Scheme limit was enhanced to Rs 9 lakhs from Rs. 4.5 Lakhs for individual accounts and 15 lakhs from 9 lakhs for joint accounts.
Mahila Samman Savings Certificate will be launched in March 2025. Max. deposit of Rs. 2 Lakh at a fixed interest rate of 7.5%, eligible for partial withdrawal.
The Agri credit is increased by 20 lakh crore and an Agriculture Accelerator Fund will be set up to encourage agri-startups by young entrepreneurs. They will improve mobility, facilitate trade, lead to job creation, and boost overall economic productivity. Capital investment outlay increased by 33 percent to ₹10 lakh crore, which is 3.3% of GDP.
The Green Energy Transition will get an outlay of ₹35,000 crores and a Green Credit Programme will be notified under the Environment Protection Act,1986.
“This will incentivize environmentally sustainable and responsive actions by companies, individuals, and local bodies, and help mobilize additional resources for such activities,”
Nirmala Sitharaman

One thing I think about sometimes is that there's a dialogue chain in one of Ratio's text messages where he sends us the blueprints for what he explicitly describes as "an anti-planetary weapon design that [he] once devised," which apparently comes with the potential to turn into a full-on gundam???? He says that the necessary materials haven't been developed yet, but that the Guild is working on it and should have results within the next five Amber Eras.
For those who've read his third character story, the phrasing of "anti-planetary weapon" should register as both familiar and odd, especially considering how blasé he is in describing it to the Trailblazer.
My read on the character story is that the creation of the anti-planetary weapon was (whether consciously or not) a compromise to his principles in pursuit of Nous's gaze, and that the IPC's interest in said weapon was his reality check that he didn't want to become the sort of person who pursued knowledge without regard for human life. Even if you don't take that reading, Ratio is more than smart enough to recognize that the IPC can and has used threats like the Antimatter Legion and the Swarm as excuses to develop and unleash weapons with galaxy-scale collateral damage. (See: the Imaginary pulse weapon in this side quest on Penacony.)
When we ask for a weapon for the Express, Ratio tells us that high-caliber armaments are a necessity for traversing the cosmos, which isn't exactly wrong in light of how we deal with Sunday in Penacony, but turning the train into a battering ram is a far cry from turning it into something that could destroy a planet. The fact that the projected timeline is on a scale of Amber Eras suggests to me that he's being at least somewhat facetious about the idea of a collaboration, especially since the whole reason we're having the conversation is that he wanted us to lob thought experiments at him to distract him from work stress. But he does send us a blueprint file, and the terminology of an "anti-planetary weapon" (specifically one he designed in the past, rather than at our request) feels way too specific to be a coincidence.
I have a pet theory that the gundam design is a form of malicious compliance toward the IPC, and the reason the Guild can't even figure out the materials is because he deliberately handed them a nightmare monstrosity of a blueprint and then refused to elaborate.
(The bill of materials casually demands components that break the laws of physics. There are whole pages of math so complicated no one can parse enough of it to conclusively prove that it's bullshit and not just the revolutionary innovations of a man five Amber Eras ahead of his time. The research team sends a terrified intern to ask if the orbital laser cannon really needs to turn into a humanoid assault mech. He shakes his head and tells them that if they truly understood his work then they wouldn't ask such pointless questions.)
#dr ratio#honkai star rail#character analysis#character headcanons#meta#'expect fruitful outcomes within the next five amber eras' he says as he gleefully clogs the ipc's munitions budget#i may not subscribe to worm theory but this man is absolutely a troll that would make aha weep tears of joy#the funding keeps getting approved because everyone is too proud to admit they don't know what the hell they're looking at#and too blinded by hero worship to suggest that maybe the great dr ratio created a stupid-ass weapon design

when they've got interpreting spiderman noir under a specific cultural lens at the function [picture of me going insane]
I cant help myself.. what can i say. And since you've mentioned some research going on behind the scenes.. do you have any fun interpretations? Or even anything fun about the 1800s!
OH HI
Hm. I don't have anything as fun as historical dancing, but I suppose this does give me the excuse (thabk u) to blab about Noir's childishness.
(wow putting this under the cut bc it got longer than I thought it would LMAO)
I think what a lot of people (including Noir's contemporary writers and yes even the spiderverse interpretation) fall for when trying to read Noir's character is the imitation of his idea of what an adult is, that he hides behind. Like Noir's persona is incredibly exaggerated. He's playing pretend. Look here, he's practicing.
A lot of his persona as Noir is imitation! Imitation of his uncle, of Urich, of the violence he's been exposed to. He's running around in his uncle's old uniform. Fundamentally misunderstanding WHY his uncle had been ashamed of it and his role in the war.
And then he goes ahead and steals Urich's alias because it sounds Cool (which is such a teenage thing to do jesus christ).
But like that imitation of The Adult isn't something that's limited to that exaggerated persona that Noir encapsulates. Peter himself is trying So Hard to be grown up and tough and responsible that it loops back around to him being a brat who would try the three guys in a trench coat trick. He even gets beat up for it when trying to defend his aunt. And I mean I've posted about him being a brat.
About how he looks at Urich as a Prime Example of what a strong and knowledgeable adult is (which is part of why he reacts so volatile in response to Urich showing he's not exactly as morally righteous as himself, he's wounded and let down). Whiskey? Whiskey sounds like someone Mature and Cool would drink, I'll have it too. And then proceeds to throw his drink at Osborn and laugh about it. The illusion was broken for me then.
But well it's not broken for everyone. I mean like obviously I poked at the contemporary writers, but I'm more talking about the other characters in the narrative. Mainly Urich and Felicia.
Urich taking Peter under his wing isn't entirely under the motivation to nurture Peter. I think it Becomes that, but he's really envious of that kid. He wants to see him lose that hope that he once had (ruh roh the opposite thing happened, being around the kid made YOU more hopeful Ben. Guess you gotta be good. Hope you don't die now).
Urich really is exposing him to an extremely harsh reality, and taking him places where adults are typically only allowed. He's letting Peter get a glimpse into what it's like, which will eventually enable Noir's tool of violence. All these tests will accumulate into what Peter thinks someone powerful and strong can be and do.
Then his problematic relationship with Felicia (writers I'm malleting you for this). He's clinging to her adulthood and the safety she represents, and he's young but she sees some adult strength in him. I mean she trusts him with the blackmail Urich gave her, which she really. Shouldn't, even if that's what Urich wanted.
Anyway, strength is something she's been consistently drawn to her in her partners. Strength to feel as her own. Even if it's to hers and others' detriment. There's also a part of Peter that's drawn to Felicia because Urich was. He's still honing in the good parts of Urich he wants to be.
I think the one person in the narrative who doesn't fall for it? Is Aunt May. You could argue it's just her being naturally motherly, but for someone who was about to be eaten alive she's pretty frank with Noir. I think she can see that that violence and exaggerated grittiness comes from someone inexperienced and young. Even if she can't consciously recognize the similarities between Noir's persona and Peter's protectiveness of her. I don't think she wants to see that. I actually have a short comic script about that, but it probably will never see the light of day.
Ugh he's like a cat puffing up to scare away a predator. It's fake!!!!! It's all fake!!!!!! He gets intimidated by JJ, he never ties his shoes, gets powers and then immediately guns to beat the shit out of Osborn, sings about the sandman when he's getting his face bashed in, crawls to Felicia all pathetic and sad, and he made a costume to run over roofs at night in.
And it's funny how he's forcing himself to grow up, but also really sad because all the things he's being exposed to is already forcing him to grow up. He's witnessing things no kid should ever see or experience.
Then there's the time period to consider. The aftermath of WWI, being in the midst of the Great Depression, and WWII just around the corner. He's faced incredible hardship and is going to continue to face so much hardship, and he's going to mature faster than he ever should have. It should have made him crash and burn Hard when he became an adult, and to me he still does because I'm ignoring everyone after ewaof LMAO.
As for my research on the 1800s NY that's for my own spider iteration run I'm working on, so not too related to Noir until I reach the 30's :3
Hope that was satisfying!!
#tw grooming#critter talks#asks#the moots#fool!!!!!!#spider man noir#character analysis#abt the research like logically I know the typical new yorker isn't gonna know abt the specificities of the original dutch colony#and intricacies that the boom of industrialization had on lower class communities#but it's less about that and more of digging my hands into the Soul of NY#because NY is so Intertwined with any spider#so I'm starting from the Very beginning and digging my way up. man y'all were a hot mess#it's really fascinating though working my way through documentaries and books. the list is long and the dent I've made is about an 8th ASDF#anyway MAYBE y'all will see spiderman undiscovered one day...ask me abt it again if y'all like miles being a detective w a shoulder demon#for now it's me my 55 of world building slides several character note docs and a to read list of about 20 books long#would like to go to NY citay one day & oogle at the stinky subway draw some storefronts and people watch but thats not in the budget rn#also trying to look for movies n shows that aren't exaggerations of the culture so if anyone has recommendations DO @ me please#wanna do her justice bc I care about her#ALSO FOOL I'M SO SORRY FOR TAKING A DAY TO ANSWER#had to get my thoughts togther

i need to post my smtv rambles on here instead of keeping them to twitter but was replaying CoC and i find the scene after the Surt boss fight how Dazai comments on Koshimizu's willingness to listen to other people's opinions as a sign of poor confidence in his own leaderships. I feel like it really informs you on what dazai views as a "strong leader"...
like, in CoC Koshimizu is anything but uncertain about his leadership. He's definitely confident and assured in his choices, but he's also willing to encourage his subordinates to develop their own thoughts and opinions on their situation (which aligns with his whole Myriad Gods ambition). To many people that's actually a sign of a strong leader, but for Dazai to think the opposite is a really good characterisation point for him.
At the start of the game he makes a throwaway comment about how he's always caught between his parents who dislike each other, and how he can never make the right choice, as whoever he sides with will always end up with the other parent angry at him. He doesn't trust himself to ever make a right decision, and he'd rather have someone who's driven and self-assured make the choice for him. He's not at risk of upsetting people then, because it's not him who's deciding, it's someone else - someone strong who will brush away any protests.
Dazai wants to be in the "right" for once. He wants to be absolutely right and beyond reproach, and Abdiel offers him that because she is so certain that she is always right and absolute. He doesn't want someone telling him to think about his decision and decide for himself if it's right or wrong - he wants someone to decide for him to take the responsibility out of his own hands.
I'm rambling, really, but I just found it funny that Dazai of all people accused Koshimizu of "lacking confidence", and it sent me down a thinky rabbit hole. I know its a meme to dunk on Dazai (and for good reason, That Scene alone from CoC is fucking hilarious despite it trying to be serious), but I genuinely do like Dazai as a character and think he's a really good Law rep bc:
He represents the kind of person who's craving for guidance, and that desperation and fear of being hated or looked down upon for never picking the right choice makes him so easy to be swept up in Abdiel's wake. Idk. I just think it's cool.
#shin megami tensei 5#shin megami tensei v#smtvv#smtv#smt5#ichiro dazai#character analysis#when we only had vanilla to go off of#i spent so long thinking about the characters with what crumbs we had when writing mortal gods#but dazai was a p solid character (compared to yuzuru “tsukuyomi's sexy lamp” atsuta)#if you could look past the comical sucker hats scene you could see why he ended up like that#og smtv just kinda speedran it bc it felt like they ran out of time or budget or smth#and missed another area or smth to expand on that#scene

Soul Music, literally.
From Kindle page 229, just after Crowley tried and failed to contact Shadwell, and now he's trying to distract himself in his flat.
Image text: Crowley gave up. He tried to read a novel, but couldn't concentrate. He tried to sort his CDs into alphabetical order, but gave up when he discovered they already were in alphabetical order, as was his bookcase, and his collection of Soul Music. Footnote: He was very proud of his collection. It had taken him ages to put together. This was real Soul Music. James Brown wasn't in it.
Image text: INFERNAL TIMES. SOUL MUSIC: Catalogue your collection of Souls?
My first reaction was awwwww babygirl is so bad at being a demon, look at his collection of SOUL MUSIC where other demons collect REAL SOULS.
But then -- Soul Music is capitalized. And listed separately from his music CDs. And it's emphasized that it is real Soul Music. And that James Brown is not in it.
Now I'm like...C-Crowley, is...is the Soul Music people. Did you put people in records like you put Hastur in a cassette tape.
CROWLEY. LOOK AT ME IN THE EYES WHEN YOU ANSWER ME, CROWLEY.

I’ve started watching Utena because of you. What. Is going on
HI. WELCOME TO THE CLUB, watch the trigger warnings. but yeah, revolutionary girl utena veers more and more towards surrealism the further you get into the series. it often and voluntarily forfeits narrative/logical consistency in favor of visual storytelling, metaphors and symbolism. i was just talking about it with nic the other day, and if the story weren't so harrowing, i would recommend it to everyone who wants to get into literary analysis, because it is SO packed with symbolism EVERYWHERE that it actually encourages you to try to decode it.
whatever you think utena is about, it is NOT. you can't go in and treat it like your 49293th classical shoujo. utena is a firework show of visual symbolism and it very rarely, if ever, explains itself to the viewer. it refuses to handhold you, but it never berates you for trying and getting it wrong either. there is SO much handholding in modern day media, but utena trusts its viewer to take away something meaningful from itself and to piece its message together on their own. it's one of my favourite pieces of media of all time just for that
#it's almost closer to a poem and to poetry than to a story in the sense that we think think about today#you see why ye standard transformative fandom was never able to take hold with utena?#my suggestion is try to actively analyze what's going on and the symbols presented to you as you go along#find recurring motifs. utena deals a LOT with cycles and repetition (they were playing into their budget limitations and did it brilliantly#what objects keep returning. what characters are they associated with. how do they relate to the irl systems of power the story criticizes#what does the white rose mean#^ had a lot of fun trying to figure that one out. i landed on something other people in the fandom also got but then nic told me his take#and yeah they basically pried my third eye open with a crowbar.#this anime made me want to try out symbolism and allegories in my own works#it's so fucking good#but hey if you finish it and still feel like you didn't get 90% of that you can go to nic metanarrates' blog and check out his rgu tag#basically 50% of the fandom posts are visual and narrative analysis. the other 10% is breathtaking art. the remaining 40% is memes#BUT! wait until you're finished..watch for spoilers#rgu#answered asks

feel like pure shit, just want her back
#james talks#riverdale#miss the whole crew really but Betty especially bc Lili was so magnificent#god as perfect as the finale was (and it really was one of the greatest finales ever) i wish we had gotten another season#they had as good a run as a show on that network could hope for but there are few shows on there that eclipsed the network like Riverdale#like the list includes like. Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and Gossip Girl. and ig The Vampire Diaries. and that's it.#(that list is for shows almost exclusively produced by the CW. CXG DID have other producing companies but it was largely the CW).#no show will ever quite be like Riverdale ever again and no show will ever reach the heights it did.#especially not on their shoestring CW budget.#like honestly i just need more Riverdale in my life.#like RAS and the writing team found such a great way to turn their weaknesses into strengths.#as an article on the show once said [paraphrased]: it was a great show that was really good at pretending to be bad.#even now nobody gets the show like i do.#everyone thinks it's some silly little show about crazy shit with crazy plotlines and pretty lighting and aesthetics but no substance—#when in reality it's an incredible pulpy anti-fascist text questioning the role of authority using those aesthetics for a larger purpose#but i'll save the real analysis for whenever i get around to actually making the Riverdale video essay i need in my life#unless Quinton Reviews or SuperEyepatchWolf beat me to it first. they're the only people who i think will actually understand the show.#like SuperEyepatchWolf's video on the show is already pretty fun even if it's a little dismissive of the substance of the show—#(tbf to him it only covered up until the S05 mid-season finale and S06 hadn't released yet)#but like he at least feels like he gets the spirit of the show. especially with the wrestling comparison.#and i hope i don't need to explain why Quinton would get it.#anyway. i need the Riverdale crew back.

#saw someone actually saying that because spn isn't a ~good show that all lit crit analysis is meaningless and we should all just stop#and then people wonder why we talk about media illiteracy and why it's a problem#and they shamed text posts for existing because idek people aren't supposed to discuss their feelings and analyze stories#spn sucks (according to them) and therefore everything is pointless and we all have to join in their nihilism#a show whose writing staff was well versed in literary device techniques and was telling a story with complex themes and characters#isn't 'worth metaing about' because they said so#the anti-intellectualism is ironically going hand-in-hand with media snobbery#that thinks a genre tv series on a shoestring budget can't say anything meaningful#so once again i'm pondering this entire sub-culture in Fandom generally that refuses to tolerate unironic enjoyment of spn#and feels this drive toward a false sense of intellectual superiority while at the same time anti-intellectualism shaming of lit crit#dot trolls fandom

sorry i think smiling friends is such a perfect show. they did such a phenomenal job with the jokes and comedic timing and despite it being a VERY joke-heavy show, it does not feel like those shitty netflix family guy ripoffs. like i am just absolutely enamored with their ability to do that
#like it's fast paced but it's not overwhelming#it makes you want to watch twice because of funny easter eggs you might've missed not cause you didn't get it#also season one budget was equivalent to about one family guy episode which is just. CRAZY. they did it better than family guy ever could#i think smth that helps. is the background gags. because they're funny little jokes but not like overwhelming. and you'll miss about half#of them.#IDK. I COULD DO AN ANALYSIS ON THIS SHOW

I do think that a lot of the culture around art criticism is just disguising categorical errors as insight. Like, what, hazbin hotel is garbage because it's just a bunch of exaggerated caricatures of horrible people that the audience is meant to stan, plastered over everything Tumblr likes to hyperfixate on in tv shows that weren't meant for them, except now it's done on purpose, in an attempt to make gay teenagers fawn over it? Buddy, I think you fundamentally misunderstood what they were doing if you think that's the part where they failed.
#media criticism#media analysis#categorical errors#hazbin hotel#tumblr culture#but i especially hate it about the hazbin discourse#like#straight kids who grew up like they were expected to got to see themselves in comedies that presented them with relatable protagonists#meanwhile the queer kids who couldn't relate to anyone around them had to read themselves into the villains of the musical#and determine their own identity through fandom culture#the fact that people are really out here acting like this show is here in order to have a philosophical debate about redemption is just#so deeply annoying#it's not about that#it's a thing that happens there#but it's not ABOUT that#it's about showing some people who always felt alienated by media that there's someone with a real budget who actually think they counted
