anyways!!! he unofficially adopts them. i think thats just so cute like imagine waking up one day and your husband just goes "im the father of a race of sea creatures who live in a village. we have 300 children btw"

the melusines loooove to help you out around the house! they let u go for work while the older melusines are scrubbing dishes and hanging clothes (BABY MELUSINE CLOTHES!!!!!.) and rearranging neuvillette's hair ties into a little waterproof box

and yes!!! they love to tie neuvillette's hair! granted, they don't do a very good job – the melusines' hands are so, so so small anyways. your husband never dares to tell them that it doesn't look good, or it could be a little looser, he winces – he doesn't want to hurt them. after all, they look so happy to be a part of his morning routine!

they love to give neuvillette different hairstyles. some days it's pigtails, some days it's braids – all simple hairstyles, elevated with rainbow hair ties and seashell pins. the younger melusines love helping with his hair, and they all clamor onto his lap: tippytoed and standing on each other's shoulders. if one of the melusines can't reach his knees, neuvillette lifts them up by their arms and sits them on his lap to help.

and they all crowd around the door when saying goodbye to you and neuvillette for the day! the little melusines excitedly shove snacks, hairties, water pouches (that are melusine sized: they definitely aren't enough for neuvillette) and anything that they can think of that will help you with your day – right into your pockets

a slightly bigger melusine trots out of the house with a water bottle almost the size of her own frame, strapped to her back like a knapsack. she wobbles slightly, looking almost like a toddler playing with adult sized items. it doesn't help that neuvillette is so tall himself. he bends down to unstrap the water bottle and thank the dutiful melusine for helping him carry it. you swear that the melusine's eyes light up!

when coming home from work, the melusines excitedly count down the minutes until you and neuvillette arrives home, right on schedule. they greet him with a cheery "surprise!" as he opens the front door, greeted with the sight of his melusine children holding up a messily painted banner with the words "welcome home papa and (gender neutral parent term)!". he chuckles to himself, assuming that they weren't tall enough to tack the banner onto the wall. it's a cute surprise, anyways.

neuvillette also keeps a calendar of his children's birthdays!!! every week there's at least two birthdays going on so. he makes sure to have a little gift and cake prepared. a lot of the melusines like to go up to him and hint at it being their birthdays soon ("papa!! dyou know what day it is next week?? do you??!!") and he loves being playful with them and teasing them in return ("hm... is it tuesday?"), watching as the little melusine pouts. he gently hints at a present coming for their birthday soon, and the little sweetheart just beams.

babysitting the sweetheart (part one-series)

note: i wrote this a while ago, and it will be a series!! i have the plot figured out so it will be very very fluffy. (ask to be tagged btw!!) words: 1.3k summary: you're new to town, enjoying a coffee when rafe cameron's little daughter approaches you. you'll be fine...right?

part one

quite honestly going to the normal coffee place you went to every morning was supposed to be comforting. it wasn't supposed to be the place to be attacked by a 5 year old, and it was definitely not the place where you felt like you were going to die of fear. 

a very cute five-year-old at that, with pigtails and big blue eyes. she bounced up and down, with a big wobbly smile on her face. she had a pink princess dress on and a tiara that was bound to fall. 

you were mid-bite before she caught your hand. 

"can i have some? please, please, please," she pleaded to you. you choked on your hot coffee and watched struggle to her plop herself onto one of the high chairs. 

you searched for her parents, and then gave her a small tentative smile, before gently asking the question that was on your mind. 

"honey, where are your parents?" 

she quickly wilted, and you swore there were tears in her eyes, 

"i can't find my daddy. he told me not to go far but i didn't listen and now i might never find my daddy," she gasped out quickly. 

now you were alert, gritting your teeth and searching your surroundings. your few months in kildare had been nice, and it was the best place to rest and take some time off. but everything was so goddamn expensive. you'd never lived so lavishly, wearing the same clothes for weeks on end. 

this was supposed to be your new start, as you cleaned tables at night, and tried to write music during the day. you had always wanted to be an artist, and the beachy waves and cool lemonade persuaded you to continue. 

but with this little girl in front of you, you felt panicked. you turned around to look around once again before you set your eyes on her - she was sobbing, clutching her necklace that had the initial 'r,' on it. 

fat tears rolled down her face, and before you knew it you were carrying her off, embracing her in your arms and buying her two marshmallow cupcakes.

 honestly, the barista was nicer to her than he was ever nice to you. 

you made sure to tease him about that later, but now you had other things on your mind. 

"so what does he look like?" you asked her again. 

she pouted and let out a cry. then she got up, wiping her tears before stretching her arm in the air.

 "wee tall, and this big, and he's my daddy." 

"it's okay!" you said quickly, cursing yourself for asking the little five-year-old. "we'll find him, you couldn't have gone that far-" 

"wait! that's my daddy, it's him-" and then jumped out of his arm to the shadowy figure behind you. 

"i-" 

the figure picked her up, clutching her tightly. he was drop-dead gorgeous. you wondered how a man could be damn hot. with broad shoulders, dirty blonde buzzed hair and blue eyes that had an unhealthy hold on you. 

one, he was young to be a father, two he was pissed. 

the owner of the cafe suddenly burst out of the kitchen, "mr. cameron! what a delight to have you here. let me show you around-"

yet, he completely ignored him, kissing her daughter, and then looked up at you. he gave you a look that you'd given a mosquito.

"who the hell are you?" he seethed through gritted teeth, eyes set on your face. you felt beads of sweat drip down your forehead. okay, okay, calm down. 

"hey, listen-" 

"daddy!"

he stopped in his tracks, to look down at the little girl. he smiled at her softly, gently tracing her face. 

"hey love, where did you go? you know you should go off on your own," he told her gently, brushing away her stray hairs. he looked as if she was his whole world. she gave him a giddy smile and then pointed at the cupcake you had given you. 

her cheeks were full like chipmunks, and she looked way too adorable. 

"she saved me." 

suddenly he peered up at you, eyes squinted with an emotion you couldn't figure out. but then he went cold, giving you a small nod. 

you felt shivers travel all the way down to your spine. 

you felt like you should have known him because he had this aura. that he was important, and something in you wanted to please him. to make him happy, but you knew there was no winning with him. 

you were so lost in his eyes, that you noticed the strange look he was giving you. 

"thank you, ms-?" he prompted, his voice cold as ice. 

"uh, [last name]," you stammered out, feeling a bit off balance under his piercing gaze.

"well, thank you for looking after my daughter," he said, his voice softening slightly as he shifted his attention back to the little girl in his arms.

then he turned away, with his little girl nestled near his chest. while they turned around, she furiously waved at you, blowing air kisses. you found yourself smiling uncontrollably. 

your coffee was cold by the time you got to it.

you scooted into your job, working at the local convenient job was embarrassing. it took hours for anything to happen, and the pay...

the pay was horrible! 

"it's time for your shift," jared commented, scrolling through his phone. he was a total tool who worked at the store to learn "life skills." his parents lived on figure eight, and were loaded. 

you trudged out there and found yourself at the cashier. 

"hi, ms. carrera!" you found yourself saying, serving your customers. 

the hours passed and you lay in the break room to rest. 

jared was still on his phone. here you were again, life sucked, and your phone was ringing. you got up, looking at the cracked screen. 

you had dropped it at least a million times. 

it was an unknown number, but who knew? you picked it up anyways. 

"hello?" 

"i'm going to pay you 10k a month." 

you stared dumbly into the phone and then started laughing. 

"uh huh, and get me the newest phone right?

"if that's what it takes." 

you found yourself giggling now, balancing the phone on your shoulder as you opened yourself some ice cream. 

"i'm sorry, who is this?" you asked while juggling your ice cream on your lap. you noticed that jared was watching you. 

"rafe cameron. you found my daughter the other day. i'd like to offer you a deal." he said, voice muffled. 

his tone was sharp was ever, but you could hear the knowing smirk, and that made you want to roll your eyes. but there was something about that low voice that made you shiver. 

"so...mr. cameron, what is 10k a month about?" you murmured into your phone and began to chip away at the ice cream. it was way cold, and your spoon nearly bent as you tried to scoop it into your mouth. 

"babysit my daughter lucy. if she's trouble, which i expect she will be," he laughed into the phone, "i'll double it." 

you could barely what you were hearing. he had to shitting you. 

"how about 15k and the phone?" you pressed, trying not to giggle. he was going to end the call now, you could feel it. 

"fine. i'll send the times and the address." 

it was here he hung the call.

Based over the fact that my lil bro when like he just turned five cut a bunch of his hair off and my mom and I were like :000

Also, Mario connected the dots very quickly bc just that morning he told Nettarina they looked alike and then by afternoon she had many inches less of hair🧍but he didn't say anything.

BUT! Of course Nettarina did, and when Peach said "why,,?" like not really expecting an answer, she said "because mamma said I look just like him, but I didn't bc he doesn't have long hair so I cut mine!"

And Peach sent an unfairly killing stare to Mario who was like hehe sori :D

Then Mariella saw her sister and wanted to be just like her, so then they took both girls to a stylist to cut their hair properly and later after that they get ice-cream and go to a park and is very nice but Peach laments that they don't have their pretty long hair anymore, the whole afternoon alskdadf too big of a change maybe bc she wouldn't be able to braid their hair or do nice hairstyles anymore waa (she now can do the little palm tree pigtails tho and she's like aww like when they were babies! :'D)

(When Nettarina's older, she starts liking longer hair again so she returns to how she had it before the cutting from when she was five ajsdka)

BTW Mario and Peach have two more babies and they're both girls and one's called Carolina and the youngest is Giovanna and WA Carolina's design looks too much like Mario therefore too much like the twins aksjdajd but she got Peach's nose and also her big ol' eyes from the moment she was born (in Mario's eye color tho).

And Giovanna got Mario and Luigi's dad's hair (aka also Luigi's hair) so it's dark and more like Peach's rather than Mario's. She also got his nose and his eyes and his eyebrows and basically everything sjdsh

Anyways what I'm trying to get at, is that none of their four daughters look that much like Peach at simple view, but if you look closely, you notice that they got her eyebrows, or her smile or her eye color mixed in with Mario's or her eyelashes or the shape of her face whwhw

ALSO, Peach's height yippie!! They're all taller than Mario🧍and he's like psh the disrespect >:c because he gotta look up to any of their daughters, even Carolina, who is the shortest of them (by nature's laws Giovanna, being the youngest, is the tallest).

Sorry I love when children look much more like a parent than the other, especially if it's the parent that gave birth to them SJDK (it's only fair, since they carried the babies >:v)

there's definitely a noticeable difference in style/quality of some of these just due to time between each design and/or how i was feeling at the time of drawing them (these hot and rainy summer months have been super rough on me)

ALSO they were all done symmetrically so that i wouldn't burn out and could actually finish them LOL . OK EVERYBODY BELOW

starting off with asta, a husky/coyote mutt!! :D in my au, devil users end up becoming hybrids of whatever their devil is. so since liebe is a coyote, that's what asta is too!! (also, i haven't drawn him yet, but yuno is a malamute :D similar looking breeds but different since they're not actually related!)

then of course, noelle, who's a saluki!! a very regal breed for a very royal gal!! i thought making her pigtails into her ears was a fun idea HEHEHE

here's finral, he's a shetland sheepdog!! gentle and sweet and always trying to herd his people together :) you might notice that with some of my designs, i end up doing extra scarring; that's usually just personal headcanons, as i think some injuries would be too grievous to fully heal. though some (for instance, gauche) don't have a canon story behind them, i just think they're fitting

vanessa, who's a cavalier king charles spaniel!! her ears sorta blend into her hair lol, i had an alternate version where they were the same darker brown as her fur but i decided that them blending in looked better and fit the breed standard as well.

gauche, the ever wary american akita!! being a fiercely loyal and protective breed, but aloof and suspicious of strangers.

then there's grey, who's a long-haired chihuahua!! sweet and skittish HEHE, also i haven't drawn it yet but i've always imagined her big transformation disguise that she's first introduced as to be a rottweiler LOL

next up is luck, a jack russell terrier!! i've always thought this was a very fitting breed pick, intelligent but highly energetic and a little mischievous !!!

and of course, magna is never far behind luck; he's a dobermann pinscher!! similar to luck in energy and intelligence, but even more fiercely protective of his loved ones.

GORDON!!! actually one of my favourite black clover characters, he's a dalmatian not only because of the fitting aesthetic, but also because of his kind and sensitive personality!

the masked supermage zora, a german shepherd! watchful and sometimes stubborn but loyal nonetheless made this pick fairly easy to come to. though, before getting to see more of him, my initial pick was actually a kai ken!

charmy's design is one that i'm the most proud of for sure; i mentioned in an earlier post that the different peoples are different species of animals. well charmy is a half toy poodle, half american badger!! i thought a badger was a VERY fitting pick, as they are generally unbothered by much unless their food is threatened LOL

and finally, lastly (for now) is nero!! she's a bull terrier, but i really wanted to keep her twin tails from her anti-bird form! her outfit is definitely the one i edited the most, i just wanted to give her something more practical out of personal preference.

additionally, henry is an old english sheepdog, nacht is a black norwegian elkhound/fox, and yami is a wolfdog!

I HAVE SOME OTHER CHARACTERS DOODLED HERE AND THERE but nothing else really finished yet. if there's a specific character anyone would like to see i would be SO happy to draw/doodle them to show off!! i honestly have a huge list of dog/cat breeds picked out for every character i could think of; i just am hellishly indecisive and can never pick who to start on next AHDSJAGDJSDK

Thoughs on Transfem Luffy? Personally I actually love this concept, some of my main hcs are:

- She comes out after Garp leaves her with Dadan so when he first sees her bounty posters he thinks he is going crazy at first

- Design is literally the same but with pigtails and the classic op girl eyes

- She casually nentions being trans after a visit from Chopper and everybody is cool with that. (Exept sanji)

- Amazpn Lily is a nightmare at first but after explaining herself Boa makes misgendering her a crime

- Impel Down is a lot more interesting

- Akainu is the only transphobic person in op and he gets his ass beaten

- Sabo cries (of joy) at Dressrosa for her

- Wano is more interesting too

Very very positive thoughts about transfem Luffy. She's my beloved. My little ball of chaos. The same exact as our canon Luffy but with different pronouns and somehow I imagine her to be even more unhinged because you wouldn't expect a cutie pie like her to be so damn chaotic.

Honestly, the whole thing is just something so cute to me. Makino? Dadan? Ace? Sabo? Shanks? They'd all support her like crazy. Ace and Sabo would beat the shit out of anyone saying anything bad about her while Makino teaches her (and her brothers) how to do her hair so it doesn't bother her while playing/running/training. This makes even more sense now because both Shanks and Dragon give major girl dad energy, so of course they'd love her (thinking about Dragon seeing the first Wanted poster and being thrilled about it and mourning a bit not being able to see her). Uta!!! Uta would tell her to be more feminine and delicate but she'd end up being charmed by her freedom, so she'd also beat the shit out of anyone who doesn't consider her sister a girl. Luffy is very nonchalant and careless about these things but is very stubborn so she gets frustrated when someone doesn't respect her identity. She's all like "I am a girl but I still wanna do stuff boys do, y'know? It just feels right to do whatever I want but, uh, as a girl. It makes sense".

Not to mention that she'd come out in the worst moment possible, in the most sudden way, and everyone in the crew would accept her but they'd be so astonished because Luffy is just so damn stupid and blunt sometimes. Also, I think it'd be good for Sanji to learn about trans girls... It'd help Sanji... In so many ways... The closet is glass for Sanji too but this isn't about her...

Amazon Lily is even better because Boa and Luffy would've been even greater friends (even though I love the whole "Luffy being the only guy she feels safe with" I also think that Boa acknowledging trans girls in an island specifically for women would be awesome).

Akainu can go rot in hell. If someone's transphobic in this show, it is him only.

Sabo!!!!!!! Sabo!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sabo would be the best brother ever to his sister. I just know that he'd be even more protective than he is now even knowing she can protect herself. Like that's his baby sister!!! And he'd be so happy to see her again and realizing she has the family and support she has always wanted!! The fact that she lives free and by her own ideals is enough for Sabo to be the happiest.

Wano is more interesting because she'd actually relate to Yamato's experience!!!!!!!! Trans besties!!!!!!!!! And Kiku!!!!!! Wano truly is the trans arc...

Overall, I believe she'd be the exact same as she is now but would easily get bothered by people telling her she's not a girl or saying that she isn't girly enough. She'd be ruthless and yet the cutest thing ever. Btw, she'd still go shirtless/topless even if she gets boobs because she does not care about it lmao--

I've been saying we need more Luffy female protagonists, tbh. It'd be soooo good for the story and would add more to the topics of freedom and liberation.

Where did they come from like I can’t Rember them being referenced in the book (not that it matters😭😭) but also what are liek the best bc for them (house, bsf, personalit, style) cs I wanna know more abt them

oh, actually, i have no idea where they were first mentioned, i never finished the books (i'm reading them now because i got them as a surprise gift, sort of against my will lol), but if i had to guess, probably some extra content book! (i sorta went to google it and emmeline i think was mentioned in the... sixth? fifth book? something like that!)

as for hc, i also don't see a lot of them in the fandom, but i'm happy to share mine!

for emmeline:

i don't know for sure if she has an official hogwarts house, i don't think so, but i personally like her in ravenclaw, she's the seeker from her quidditch team, which often makes other people surprised, because she doesn't seem the type, but she's very athletic. she likes sports as much as she likes charms (it's her favorite class), and she's got a great memory for spells and for history of magic. i think she would be besties with both pandora (she likes the way pandora thinks, and they study together often), emma (they train together for quidditch, and they even dated for a while), and also marlene (emmeline likes marlene's vibe, they are good friends). emmeline has a more "girly" style, painted nails, little hairpins with interesting shapes (gifts from pandora), and make-up are her go-to. she loves styling her hair in cute ways (space buns, pigtails, braids, anything that comes to mind).

for emma:

she's a slytherin girl boss through and through, quidditch team captain (this one i think it's actually a canon fact), a sports enthusiast, she's very focused, very serious, very professional. her goal is to be a pro player, and she will. she's a year older than the marauders, not fan of many classes, but very good in potions and defense against the dark arts, with dada being her favorite class, but minerva being her favorite teacher. she's tough, smart and knows how to pick and win a fight. i like to think that emma's best friend was emmeline, but she had a special bond with regulus, she had him under her wing in quidditch, and he sees her as the greates player he ever saw, they have a cute mentor/student relationship, reggie respects her a lot! (she played as a chaser, btw!). emma, contrary to what people think by her last name, wasn't really vain, at least not with her appearance, she was always messy, with her hair tied, because it was easier for her to fly any time like that, and she always had a heavy coat even when was hotter, because she spent most of her time flying around. her favorite color is purple, and she likes shiny things. i hc her as a black person, very curly hair, and although being in slytherin in a time where most students in the house were purbloods, she's either half-blood or muggleborn

Hell, even just letting Tommy man the grill at family cookouts grated on him. He seemed to love to turn steaks too frequently, never giving them the time they needed on any one side. Joel had to grit his teeth and tried not to watch Tommy fuck up perfectly good cuts of meat. 

But at least then you would slip your hand into his, lacing your fingers through his own, and kiss his shoulder, whispering “You know it’ll be fine, Babe” under your breath. You tried not to giggle when you said it, Joel could hear it in your voice. 

You couldn’t do that now. Not when you were under anesthesia and he was stuck, sitting in a waiting room, waiting to hear that you were OK. 

No, this kind of out of control, Joel had learned, he was especially bad at. 

It started a few years earlier, not all that long after meeting you, really. 

Joel had first bumped into you - literally - at a park. Sarah was playing, showing off some variation of a cartwheel she’d invented, when Joel saw a dog - a big dog - running right for her. He didn’t think about how to react, he just did, racing to put himself between his daughter and the unknown animal, only watching her and the dog when you ran smack into is side, sending you both sprawling to the ground. 

“Ow, shit,” you groaned, sitting up and clutching your head. Joel turned only to see Sarah, flopped on the ground as the dog licked all over her face, tail wagging. Joel sighed in relief, going back to figuring out how to untangle his legs from yours. 

“I’m so sorry, he’s usually better behaved than this but he’s all keyed up because we were at the vet earlier,” you said, tugging your leg back into yourself and looking at your knee. “I didn’t have as good a hold on his lead as I should have, he saw a rabbit and took off…” 

“S’fine,” Joel said quickly, noticing you properly for the first time. You were in a little dress that showed off your legs, your eyes still bright and beautiful as you watched your dog play with his daughter. You were pretty. Really, really fucking pretty. He cleared his throat awkwardly. “No harm done.” 

“Yeah, he’s a gentle giant,” you smiled, getting up. “He looks scary but, since I live alone, definitely more of a feature than a bug. He’s really just a big teddy bear.” 

You called the dog over and looped the end of his leash around your wrist before you introduced yourself and Joel did the same, not able to take his eyes off you and your warm smile. 

“Hey Dad!” Sarah ran over, some of her curls pulled free from her springy pigtails and wild around her face. “Dad, did you see? Did you see me with the dog?” 

“Yeah, Baby Girl,” he laughed a little. “I saw.” 

Your dog licked her hand, wagging happily. 

“He likes you,” you smiled, squatting down to be on Sarah’s level as you gave the dog a scratch. “His name is Pluto!” 

Sarah’s eyes got big. 

“You mean like the dog from the cartoons?” 

“Exactly,” you smiled. “He’s my best friend and he’s got very good taste, so if he likes you that means you must be pretty great.” 

“Dad!” Sarah turned to Joel, her eyes still big. “Can Pluto come over to play?” 

“Kiddo…” he sighed. 

“Please?” She pouted. “You never let me get a dog, I want to play with a dog and he likes me and…” 

You caught Joel’s attention over his daughter’s shoulder as you mouthed “it’s OK with me” at him. He smiled a little at that, you giving him an out so he wouldn’t have to be the bad guy with his daughter if he said no. 

And he knew he probably should say no. The reason he said no dogs was because he worked too much and he didn’t want to leave a dog, alone and neglected, at home all day. Giving his six-year-old daughter ideas about a pet probably wasn’t the best idea. 

And then there was you. 

You were so pretty and so obviously good with Sarah you were practically temptation on legs. Invite you over and he’d be asking for trouble. 

But Sarah loved your dog. 

And Joel sure as hell wanted to see more of you.

“Want to come over for dinner?” Joel asked. “I’m just makin’ burgers but…” 

You smiled, wide and bright and beautiful. 

“Yeah,” you said. “Yeah, I’d love that.” 

You came over that night and, in a way, you never really left. He watched you play with his daughter and your dog and put potato chips on your burger and find new music to add to his playlist once you heard what he liked to listen to, taking Sarah’s hands and dancing with her on the grass. It was the most fun Joel had had in years. 

It was a year and a half later, when you fainted at work. 

Joel was frantic when he got the call from your boss. You’d moved in just a few months earlier and Joel was almost waiting for something to go wrong. He’d never had anything go so right for so long in his entire life. Something going wrong was inevitable. 

It didn’t seem right that it should go wrong for you. 

“Joel,” you said, a wan smile on your face as you sat up in your hospital bed when he ran in. You looked so small and pale and he all but ran to you, sitting on the edge of your bed and taking your hand. “I’m fine, I’m OK, it’s OK.” 

“Shouldn’t I be comfortin’ you?” He asked, smiling just a little even though he was having a hard time focusing on anything but the monitors that were attached to you. 

“You look more upset than me right now,” you said, giving his hand a squeeze. “Really, babe, I’m fine. I just didn’t have enough to eat today and I got up too fast, that’s all.” 

That’s not all it was. 

It took them some time to figure out - and Joel pointing out that you seemed tired and lightheaded and your pulse felt strange below his fingers sometimes - but you had cardiomyopathy. 

He was with you when the doctor handed down the diagnosis and you frowned, your eyebrows knitting together. 

“What does that mean?” You asked. “It sounds serious….” 

“It is,” the doctor nodded. “It’s a disease of the heart muscle, it makes it harder for the blood to pump through the body. It can even lead to heart failure. The good news is, we have treatment options…” 

You sat there, eyes wide, clutching your purse on your lap. Joel took your hand and tried to take in every word the doctor said. He was going to do this with you. In you he’d found the one person he wanted to do everything with, the only person besides Sarah he wanted to see every day for the rest of his life. He might not understand what was wrong with you but he was going to figure it out. 

When the two of you got home that afternoon, you were still in a state of shock. Joel walked with you to the kitchen table and got you a glass of water, sliding it in front of you. You just stared at it, your eyes a little wide. 

“Honey,” Joel said, his voice calm. “It’s OK…” 

You shook your head a little and drank the water before you set the glass back down, putting your hands in your lap and meeting his gaze from across the table. 

“I understand that this was a lot more than you bargained for,” you said, your voice steady. “I don’t expect you to take care of me through all this, I can call my mom, I’m sure she would let me move in…” 

“Why are you talkin’ about movin’?” He frowned, cutting you off. 

“I mean, you heard the doctor,” you said. “There are surgeries and…” 

“So?” 

“Joel,” you shook your head and smiled a little. “You have a daughter and a demanding job and…” 

“And I love you,” he said. “Not gonna let you do this without me.” 

It was rough at the start. He went to all your appointments with you. The doctors decided surgery was the best route and Joel spent hours researching everything he could. It felt like he’d be able to do it himself by the time you went under the knife the first time. 

He didn’t think that made him any less anxious about it, though. 

It was at a follow up appointment that the two of you got more bad news. 

“Wait,” you said, cutting your doctor off. “I’m sorry, I just… You’re making it sound like I won’t be able to have children. Is… is that true?” 

“Unfortunately,” the doctor sighed heavily. “Yes, that’s true. There was just too much damage to the tissue and even with the work we’re doing, it wouldn’t be safe to put your body under the strain that pregnancy demands…” 

You held it together until the two of you were in the truck, the floodgates breaking the second the door was closed. Joel tugged you against him, stroking your hair, kissing your forehead. 

The two of you had talked about children, of course, but you were both undecided. You were both still young, you thought you had time to figure that out later. 

“I’m so sorry, Joel,” your voice was wet. “I know we didn’t know what we wanted yet but… I thought I’d still get to choose and not have something else choose for me. I understand if this changes…” 

“Marry me,” he said. 

You sat up from him and sniffed, wiping your eyes. 

“What?” 

“Marry me.” 

You just looked at him, frozen and blinking for a moment. 

“No,” you shook your head. “No, you don’t mean…” 

“Yes, I do,” he said. “Marry me.” 

“Joel…” 

“Only way I want more kids is if they’re your kids, Baby,” he said. “Whether they’re ones we made or ones we adopted, I wouldn’t care, as long as it’s with you. You not being able to have kids doesn’t make a damn difference to me, I love you. Marry me.” 

You smiled a little through your tears and leaned over to kiss him gently. 

“Let’s talk about that when we’re a little less emotional,” you said. 

He brought it up again that night. 

The two of you had gone to bed and Joel had fully intended to keep his hands to himself. You, however, had other ideas. 

You kissed him and moaned against his lips and he gave into you, pulling your nightie over your head and slipping your panties down your legs before slipping inside of your tight, wet heat with a satisfied groan. 

He worked your body, knowing you so well after almost two years together, pressing deep as you tightened around him, sucking your nipple into his mouth, stroking your clit as you got closer and closer to coming around him. 

“Let go for me,” he sucked at the vulnerable skin of your throat, pressing so deep inside you as he did. “Come for me, come all over me, give it all to me…” 

You obeyed, coming hard around him, your hand flying to his back to clutch him close as he worked you through your orgasm, too. 

After, he pulled you on top of him as he lay flat on his back, your soft body spread over his and you sighed contentedly.

“I know,” he cut you off, reaching blindly into the top drawer of his bedside table. He fumbled blindly through it until he found the small, velvet box at the back. He pulled it out and pried the lid open with his nose before turning the box so you could see it. Your eyes went wide, a single diamond almost watching you from its place in the box. “Not just sayin’ it, Baby. Had this for a few weeks. Planned to take you somewhere special to ask once we had the chance but… seemed like this might be the right time.” 

“Joel,” you breathed, taking the box, your hand trembling. “This is… I…” 

“Marry me,” he said again. “Love you, more than anything. I want to do everything in life with you, the good stuff, the bad stuff, doesn’t matter. It all means more with you. Marry me.” 

“Yes,” you said quickly, looking from the box to his eyes, smiling broadly. “Yes yes yes yes yes!” 

Joel smiled. 

“Oh, is that a yes?” He teased a little. “Just wanted to make sure…” 

You rolled your eyes and laughed, burying your face in his chest. He just held you close as you looked back at him, stretching up his body to kiss him. 

“That’s a yes,” you whispered. 

“Good,” he said, taking the ring from the box and sliding it on your finger. “Because I love you. Love you so damn much.” 

“I love you, too,” you smiled against his lips as you kissed him. 

You got married just a few months later. 

“Mr. Miller?” The doctor came out from the operating room and he all but jumped up to meet him, his stomach in knots. It felt like he’d been sitting there for days, stuck in a state of limbo where he had no control. 

“That’s me,” Joel said quickly. “How’s she doin’? How’d it go?” 

“Everything went great, Mr. Miller,” the doctor smiled broadly and Joel relaxed a bit. “Your wife is doing very well, you can head back and see her in just a minute…” 

Joel nodded along as the doctor filled him in on everything and he did his best to pay attention. But it was hard. All he really cared about was getting back to see you. Everything else seemed like it could wait. 

After what felt like a small eternity - but could only have been a few minutes - Joel was led back to your room, where you were just coming out of the anesthesia, still groggy but you smiled at him all the same.

“Hey babe,” you smiled, reaching for him. 

He smiled back, taking your hand before leaning down to press a kiss to your forehead. 

“Hey Baby,” he took your face in his hand. “How’s that heart of yours?” 

“All yours, Joel,” you smiled a little, settling back into your pillow. “All yours.”

Shirtless Nix. 👀 I love the little sweater neck on his mouth and his right hand being entirely covered by his sleeve. But what would the R.N. stand for, Richard Nixon? While not a fan of the design I love the expression of 2. The fact that 4 has a particularly pointy chin freaks me out.

Young Phoenixes! The last panel is just funny to me lmao. In the second panel Nix looks like Garou and him with the lollipop in the first panel reminds me of Child Emperor.

I'm not a big fan of Beanix but I love me some stubble. Not a fan of the nose on 3 and I feel 2 and 3 are too well dressed considering his situation. 1 is more realistic and that expression portrays his solemnness and desperation well. Plus that parka is invoking memories in me...

I hate that Maya was ever doodled as a school girl. I love the design on the lower bottom of the right page, the one with the little handkerchief and box ( reminded of Demon Slayer). I think I still prefer the canon one though. The pigtails and suit design is cute but is definitely not her.

I love the short-hair- in-the-back-long-hair-strands-in-the-front style. Having even more balls to be hanging, like medals almost, especially as time goes on, would be cool. The doodle where Maya is crying invokes unnamed, unpleasant feelings in me.

Basically a daycare au! At the bottom of every kid, I wrote their names like how I think they would write it as kids. I'll also give some little headcanons but if they're not to your liking or it's untrue/ooc, you can change it!

She actually isn't supposed to be in the daycare as her older brother who is also her only guardian never signed her up for it. The caretaker, Ame, doesn't give a shit though and let's Bonnie in whenever she arrives. (Let's not talk about how did Bonnie escaped from Elijah's clutches-)

In my heart, all Elijah's are bad so the Elijah in this au sucks as well, although he is a bit toned down.

Bonnie learns slower than the other children and hesitates a lot but she's a good and cooperative kid.

i gave him an oversized version of his sweater but I wished I had given him a little suit instead since he did come from a wealthy family 😔

He's a very intelligent child despite his age. Very responsible too.

Zach likes to be responsible and help Ame with the other children but he constantly forgets that he is also a kid :(

He knows his alphabets but constantly writes in capital. Ame doesn't know why, he'll probably grow out of it.

Ame could easily sniff out which twin is which but the other children can't so she made custom pin of each of the twins names so the other children could identify more easily. The twins do not like that though 😒

He wears Velcro shoes but it's understandable. Zach is the only child who can properly tie his own shoes.

Chance is as playful as Chase but is more in the quiet side when Chase is away (although they're rarely apart from one another anyways). He is more of the follower.

He's one of those kids that always writes out of the line so his writing looks uneven.

Case!

The leader of the twins. Calls himself the leader of the whole daycare.

Gets hurt easily but is too "manly" for bandages.

He's always pouting for no reason.

Chase is the worst writer in the daycare. Ame believes that Chase is more of a builder type than writing.

If Chase is ever separated from Chance, he will spend his time trying to find his brother. Chance on the other hand, waits till Chase gets back.

He wears rain boots because he plays around mud and water a lot. Ame doesn't like this because he gets really dirty. To ease Ame's worries, Chase decided to wear boots so he wouldn't get so dirty anymore....

It doesn't work. He still gets dirty.

Honestly, Chase is a good kid. He's just a handful.

Also, maybe both the twins crave more physical attention than the others which is why they are always doing crazy things to get Ame's attention.

Ame the caretaker! Its hamster Ame btw but I did thought of it being OG Ame instead but if that was the case, OG Ame would have been training these kids for war instead of taking care of them 😭

Ame adores the children and is really patient with each of them, even Chase and Chance.

Being an experiment made to take care of children, she's doing as they had wanted.

But if she saw a crossed out picture of his face she wouldn't even piece it together 😭

Describing my Ellabby lovechild OC, Hazel

For a while now I've been one of this website's biggest Ellabby connoisseurs, and I figured it was about time I show you all the child I designed for these two. Well...design is the wrong word. I can't draw for shit, but I can at least tell y'all how she looks and what her personality is like.

A lot of this was influenced by me watching Bluey and picturing Ellabby in the same situations as Bandit and Chili, btw. Lol

Hazel was born through use of IVF on Gabby. The girls were nervous and hoping it'd actually work, so of course Hazel's birth was the happiest moment of their life!

In terms of appearance, Hazel has Ellie's skin tone, freckles and eye color, while being a brunette like Gabby.

Her usual outfit is a purple sweater with a pink heart embroidered on it and brownish shorts, with two purple bowties in her hair, which is usually in pigtails.

She's around 4 in most of the family moments I picture between her and her moms.

Personality-wise...Hazel, like all kids, is very fun-loving and imaginative, and enjoys playing games with her moms. She's highly curious, and loves exploring nature and the world around her, and asks a lot of questions, which her moms are always happy to answer.

Hazel is a bit on the shy side, however, and is a bit sensitive. She's more of a Bingo than a Bluey, if that makes sense.

Just like Gabby, Hazel loves plushies, and her moms give her new ones every month.

She and her parents share a love for Bluey and Elinor Wonders Why.

Hazel is a very sweet kid, being kind to other children and often bringing flowers to her moms - but sometimes her imagination games can get a bit out of hand, creating some mild chaos!

Being Gabby's daughter, Hazel shares her love of nature, and wants to be a veterinarian one day to help animals in need. For now in her young age, she and Gabby regularly go on nature walks to watch critters in their natural habitat.

(This one depends on how the potential Ellabby-Tess friendship goes) Hazel also loves when Tess, Ally and Hunter come to babysit!

i also drew this in a harutaka i posted but takane randomly giving static shock to people when they touch them ajdhnsakdjskf <- something having the long sleeves also helps with cuz that way he doesnt have to actually touch anyone. victims of this most often are haruka (by accident) and shintaro (on purpose). also its hair randomly standing up bc. static. this makes no sense ofc but i think its a funny and silly way to translate takane's power in her physical body. the more time he spends as ene the more charged with random electricity its physical body is. RIP harutaka kisses they kinda hurt. u can make the our love is electrifying joke only like 3 times before it becomes annoying. eventually takane thinks haruka becomes immune but in reality he just gets used to it

ALSO THE BLUE HAIR ive also drawn this a few times but takane chopping all its hair off+dyeing it blue my beloved. post str takane is never rly drawn with the long hair he has when she gets his body back but ummm i think itd be funny if post str they had it and cut it straight to short from there. i do not want to see the no9 novel ever tbh im fine with it being buried and dead but omg....takane design without the stupid fucking pigtails im BEGGING id kill to see a canon takane design without them. but i live in my delusion and in it theres short blue hair and pronouns!!!

not so much of a takane headcanon more of a general one but also sort of related. im so fascinated by what saeru must've told haruka and takane's parents. haruka was gonna die anyway so his dad wouldnt be surprised but theres No Body? i think for him he was probably a little gaslighted abt seeing him dead and by how he is described maybe he wouldve been fine with never looking at his son dead+convinced to have a closed casket by his old pal mr tateyama and just buried an empty casket for haruka.

but for takanes grandma its so complicated bc she had no REASON to have takane disappear like that. basically i think saeru gaslights gatekeeps girlbosses so hard like gaslights both’s parents to hell and back but especially takanes grandma bc harukas dad is more or less covered but with all its money and resources it can cover up haruka and takanes disappearances altogether so takanes just. Gone. and this poor womans rly has no answers, no closure, no nothing. takane just vanishes!!! grandma enomoto protagonist when. i think itd be funny if she went full on old woman conspiracy theory mode or just tries to move on with this huge mystery behind. takane and grandma reunion i want to see it. haruka with his dad too tbh im rly curious what theyd tell them and what theyve been told LOL

i think haruka and takane dont go back to their families immediately bc they have no fucking clue what to even say so they stay in the hideout for the time being (would the dan move to the tateyama house post str? i read this in a fic once i think itd make sense and i always go sniff sniff imagining mekatrio+mary saying goodbye to the 107 apt). but for takane it sort of becomes urgent bc um it starts becoming apparent she needs its meds and the dan does NOT have the funds so while haruka can wait it out takane is like forced to go back home. i think at first takane would try to pull thru bc with its powers he can still hang out and stuff but its rather haruka/shintaro/ayano being like UMMMM... YEA U NEED UR MEDS. yuukei quartet visiting enomoto grandma WHEN!!!!!!they go 4 emotional support/help to explain i thinks. i think they wouldve known her back then too cuz in the sixth novel haruka mentions they go to takane's house for ayano's bday party after the gaming event.
