Sealioning 101

So if you don't already know, "sealioning" is a term for a type of bad faith behavior where someone repeatedly asks for information or evidence that they're not actually interested in. It's a form of trolling.

For example, a young earth creationist might go around saying something like, "Can anybody show me proof of evolution? I keep asking people, but no one will answer me."

Then well-meaning people come and and provide resources. The troll, who of course isn't actually interested in learning or changing their mind, will just keep acting like nobody's answering their question, and keep demanding answers. It's frustrating and exhausting.

A big sign that you're being sealioned is demanding information that's incredibly easy to find. Now of course, people sometimes genuinely just don't know where to find certain information that most of us take for granted, and sometimes people are just lazy and treat random Internet strangers like their personal butlers. (Having a pinned post with a FAQ will take care of most of these people, btw.)

What gives a sealion away is their refusal to accept and engage with provided resources, and their favorite lie, "I keep asking, but no one will answer me."

Think for a moment: how likely is it that someone went around asking a bunch of biologists or at least biology nerds for evidence of evolution, and no one gave them anything? Does it seem that likely that no one gave them any links or made any book recommendations? Does it seem likely that a bunch of people who really love talking about biology just suddenly clammed up around this person for no reason?

Trolls will sealion over anything, especially hot political topics. For example, they've been sealioning with JK Rowling's transphobia, asking for evidence that she ever said or did anything transphobic while claiming no one ever answers them when they ask. Trolls have been sealioning for Donald Trump for years now, pretending they just don't understand why people are so worked up over Trump, and that nobody they've asked will give them a real answer.

Again, ask yourself: how likely is it, really, that someone on Tumblr Dot Com can't find a single person who can tell them what these people have done and said that have so many people displeased with them? And do we think that this person who is supposedly soooo interested in seeing what all the fuss is about, never once tried Google or something?

Seems pretty unlikely, when you actually stop and think about it. In fact, it's a pretty obvious lie, because we know damn well that lots of people are more than happy to explain why they don't like Trump and Rowling, and any determined person could find the information they want in like five minutes on any search engine.

Sealioning is troll behavior. If someone is sealioning, they are a troll. It's that simple.

More Minotaur Hobie! X reader because I'm feeling funny. Btw Reader here is mostly undisclosed whether they're a demigod, mortal or etc. so you do you with your imagination honestly;

And as you stand in front of him, he already waits for the words he knows will come out of your mouth just as everyone who's seen him previously said: monster.

“...you're…”

And before he knows it he replies at the same time as you;

“Hideous”

“Gorgeous”

…And he stands there baffled. You would've had the time to try and attack him with how long it takes him to actually do or say anything. And yet you stand there admiring him with a softened gaze and a warm smile, excited to meet the man of the myths and legends you've dearly loved ever since you were younger.

Every night your father would tell you the same story. Yet he never made Hobie out to be cruel for his actions, he wasn't a monster in your father’s tale. Instead he was but a creature, but a man as any other. You look him over in all his glory, noticing the bruises, the scars, his eyes and how they dance over your form with untold anger and sadness.

He doesn't raise his voice at you any more. Seeing no point in fighting someone who clearly has no wish to. Not with the way you're looking at him, it makes him feel bare, vulnerable, if anything it only further upsets him about how he looks. Instead, he backs away, finding himself wanting to flee your emotions and kindness. His heart and soul aren't used to kindness.

“Wait- please. I just want to know you.” And your voice is just as tender as your expression and gestures. He hates it, oh gods how he hates it. He stays still, wearily letting you approach him as he stares at you, his form tense as he wonders when you'll hit him. When will you raise your weapons at him? When will you tell and scream and run away?

And yet you don't, in a small and innocent tone slowly asking him a few questions about himself. Making sure he knows he truly doesn't have to answer them if he doesn't wish to as you sit down in front of him. A sign of blind trust. A sign you truly want his time more than you want his end.

And so he stays standing up as he stares at your form, he stays standing, he has to be or else you'll think he isn't strong and might try something against him. And Hobie slowly starts answering your questions, being careful to not reveal any weak spots. And to your pleasure you listen to his words and voice.

There's always something soothing about someone who's stronger than you yet speaks to you like you're nothing but a fragile glass statue. He knows his strength, how easy it is to actually get rid of you if he so needs to. But eventually after a few hours of conversation he sits down with you. Having needed time to convince himself and you that you won't attack him in any way possible.

You who wears no fine clothes, no dreadfully heavy armor, you barely have any on, only a dagger at your side which you haven't bothered to even try reaching for. There is no need for it, not with a friend. And Hobie is your friend, at least he has been in his own way while you were but a child. His stories made you feel less lonely as you had been estranged with society all your life.

He feels it too, the slight similarities. How two hurt doves are now in the same nest trying to make home in a small budding friendship. And he waits for it anxiously. Wondering if you might turn out to be a praying vulture. But you never bare your claws to him, gentle with everything you do and say. Your jokes, your laugh, your smile…as time passes by he starts to feel better. He has someone finally. Is it foolish thinking perhaps? Maybe he's not seeing right. But then you hold his hand, no one's ever done that before. No one else would dare to. And yet you do. And you take his monstrous hand in yours and hold it as if it has meaning.

When they first talk to Legend in the Downfall IAU, he can't talk to them because his agent is on the way. What is his agent like? Are they an ally in his secret efforts? Are they actively cruel? Are they just another cog in the machine, unaware and/or uncaring of the extent of his unhappiness in his situation? Why did they feel the need to talk face to face? Did Four and Wind get Legend into trouble somehow, or does he often discuss assignments in person with them? Is the band around Legend's wrist just for communication or is it also tracking his movements, vital signs, power use etc.? Can it be used for discipline (delivering a shock for leaving a certain area, for instance)? Can he ever take it off?

You can ignore any and all of these questions btw. I don't know where they all came from. 😅 The angst has hold of me

Legend’s agent is pretty awful. I thought about making him be Agahnim, but upon thinking about it he’d probably be higher up in the ranking of things. So I picked a random alttp boss and decided that would be good— Arrgus.

Anyway guy got demoted after some kind of a mess he was the scapegoat for, and because of this, hates Legend with a burning passion (he suspects Legend was the cause of the mess, and he’s right lol. Just can’t prove it). For reference though, Twilight’s agent is a lot less actively evil and more just a cog like you said, so not all of them are awful. Legend just makes a lot of people mad XD

Anyway he came to talk face-to-face because Legend took an unauthorized detour— he was supposed to come directly back after the patrol he was in the middle of (which Four and Wind caught the tail end of before approaching him). Not doing so is highly suspicious. So... yeah, Wind and Four kinda get him in trouble.

Legend has excuses for everything though, so he worms his way out of it (“I thought I saw something suspicious, but I was mistaken”). Arrgus doesn’t really believe him, but Legend is unfortunately good at what he does, so without better proof, Arrgus can’t do much aside from being a little extra rude to him.

Also while I was calling them agents, overseer is probably a better word, since they basically monitor whatever super they’re assigned to and make sure they’re not doing anything they shouldn’t be. There’s probably an even better word I’m just not thinking of though ha.

The wristbands can definitely track movement and power use, probably other stuff as well. They’re mandatory too. I don’t know how Legend would get away with half of what he does if he couldn’t take his band off, but then again, I can’t think of a legitimate reason for the government to just let them remove them. Maybe when they’re at home and not on duty..? That seems unlikely though. Hm... guess it needs more thought!

Also I didn’t think about the possibility of it delivering a shock, but that’s genius. I’m definitely using that >:)

One thing you never had to worry about as a writer was finding test readers. Because the boys were your test readers. Well, it was mostly Steven who did the reading for you chapters to see how well it flowed and if it kept people reading because, well, it's Steven. He burns through books like he gets paid to do so. But you knew Marc and Jake read them too.

In a way, it was good that they did because you knew that Steven would like anything you made. So with Marc and Jake being the type of men to just out right say their opinion was great.

"I don't like where you're taking McIntire's story and character." Marc piped up as he wrapped his arms around you while you sat with your laptop typing up something else. "How come?" you ask. "He feels too... edgy now with everything you added to him." he explains. 'Well, the point is that he's slowly remembering who he was and all the things he's done," you remark, "And he's meant to struggle with that because he doesn't think that he could ever do that as the person he is now." you add.

"Yeah, but," Marc says before scrunching his face to show that he still doesn't like how much there is. "You're right." you sigh and confess, "I was kind of thinking that he was being a little too over powered.". "It sort of takes away from why he did what he did in the first place." you mention, mostly to yourself. "I'll put more focus on that instead." you comment.

As for Jake. If you're being honest Jake is the type of reader who looks more for drama and action. Which somethings isn't needed when there's a "peace time", as you like to call it, in your chapters. But sometimes his suggestions actually work out.

"I'm just saying," Jake remarks as he watches you review over your pages for the newest chapter in your story. "These two characters have a rivalry and hatred towards each other and this is their first time meeting after everything has started the actual story." Jake explains, "So why not have them argue and have a bit of a fight." he concludes. "But this is the first time they actually have a meeting with each other. Every other time was in passing." you argue.

"Doesn't the bad guy already know who your main guy is? He's known all along, no?" Jake asks. "He has an idea that the protagonist has something to do with the legend but he doesn't know that it's him." you explain. "Well, how about the big bad comes to the realization that it is the legend that he's been seeing?" Jake suggests.

You lean forward in you seat and think as Jake goes on.

"I'm not saying have the final fight right now. What I'm suggesting is that you have them maybe get a few punches in to give your readers a taste of that the final fight might be." he says.

You tilt a brow and speak, "That's actually a pretty neat idea.".

"See." Jake teases.

Idol scandal situation mini rant

Hi guys I don't usually use this app for anything else than writing, reading and some other minor stuff. But this time I wanted to spend two words about the very recent situation that came out about Taeil.

First of all I didn't even knew who he was, I don't know nct at all, except for a couple of members superficially. That being said I cannot speak on my own impressions or wether I was surprised or not. I was, and still am, simply mortified and angry.

I am, first and foremost, very sorry and in total solidarity with the victim (if I'm not wrong fortunately for now only one case has come out). I am secondly mortified for everyone who might've supported him and founds themselves full of regrets.

This goes for fans, unknowing family, friends & colleagues. I just want to say that it was not your fault for trusting someone and thinking positively, especially when apparently this person didn't give any previous or obvious signs.

Your heart was in a good place and it still is, if you decide to stand with the human side. Which is the victim's side. There is no discussion about it.

And fuck everyone, especially on Twitter, who is blaming women and girls for having love in their hearts and not bitterness. Doesn't matter if we're talking about men or women. It's not normal to inherently assume everyone (or every man) is a shitty person.

Yes, you should try and be objective enough to remember that you do not know personally these people, but sometimes, even then, it could not be enough. How many times has a member of your family been revealed to have done something? How many times did a friend, or someone that you knew? Idk about y'all, but to me, a few. You can't control anyone but yourself. You cannot 100% fully trust or know anyone but yourself.

For everyone who has been taking this news hard, for one reason or another, I hope you're taking care of yourself as well as advocating for justice.

To everyone, on every social media, I would beg to please not share, speculate, repost misinformation, make up proofs or accusations (has already been done btw). This has already become a circus. This is not a fan war. This is not a laughing matter. Police already has done an investigation and has gathered evidence.

You do not need to play fucking Batman. It will put in danger the victim's identity, and potentially, their credibility. And also, for how disgusting the man's actions were, he will hopefully have a just trial. Not too little, not too long. If you make up stuff and it comes out to be false, it will not stain his reputation or give him a harsher sentence.

It will give his legal team the chance to charge YOU with defamation, instead. Especially with the such delicate and tricky laws that South Korea has. This goes for everyone also unjustly accusing and speculating about other idols involvement and/or being criminals themselves. You're just creating chaos and most likely accusing an innocent. And even then, think the worst case scenario, someone actually guilty could be scrambling to cover up whatever shit they did as WE SPEAK, just because you speculated and planted a seed. Which guess who would be, eventually, hurting? The victim and the justice system.

Think with your fucking heads for once.

Plot: Integra plans to proceed with marriage arrangements to continue her bloodline, but wants to gain some, uh, experience. Basically plot is weak excuse for smuttiness which will happen in chapter 2 - rated E so 18+only please, ty.

The office was striking and cold, as many would say that, perhaps, she was.

Alucard sat complacently in a large chair across her, twiddling his thumbs. Integra was signing some paperwork for Queen and country, following a successful mission of extermination. Alucard had been called to the office to go over some of the details of what happened the past week; however, he was beginning to think he had been summoned for another reason as well.

There wasn't anything different about Sir Integra today. What was different was the fact that there was so much silence in the air, and Alucard was, well, still there. Usually, he would be dismissed rather quickly when she was done deeming him useful to her business. His Master was not one to waste time.

"Alucard," she sighed a bit, and he straightened up on the chair instinctively.

"Yes?"

"On your next task, make at least a minimal attempt to keep a cleaner murder scene. It is a waste of time and a nuisance for our organization to tend to the gore you so enjoy making a display of."

"Here I thought you enjoyed my displays. Proof of my commitment, Sir Integra."

She ignored that, and took a puff of her cigar. Smoke swirled around her steel eyes as she looked at him, and it gave off a somewhat intimidating impression.

Alucard knew that most people who came in and out of this office felt intimidated by her. It was a mixture of her poise and posture, her gaze, the serious command with which she spoke. A truly regal and delicious combination. Even her blood was saturated with the delicacy of her character.

"Alucard, there is a matter I've been meaning to discuss with you."

"I'm intrigued..."

"As I am sure you've heard, there has been talk about the arrangement of a marriage for myself. So as to continue my bloodline, and my organization--"

"When the time comes," Alucard interrupted, "For your resignation, you have authority to assign another to your position. You don't need a marriage or a continuance of a bloodline, do you...?"

It was a rhetorical question.

The notion of a forced marriage or family for such a purpose seemed a bit ridiculous to Alucard in this day and age. She did not need any of it.

"I do not," she agreed. "But I believe the arrangement would be best."

"Care to explain?"

"I take pride in the legacy of my family. Therefore I would prefer to continue my bloodline. As I do not have the time nor care to seek out a proper husband myself, I have decided to proceed with certain arrangements."

"...I see."

"I will be meeting some candidates. Noblemen recommended by our Queen..."

Of course. Someone powerful and perfect on paper, sent by the Queen herself. A proper potential father to that holy Hellsing child to come. A proper husband for her.

"So that is what you want."

"Yes," she stated.

Alucard felt...uncomfortable, but swallowed down any retaliation. The fact that she was even discussing such a...personal matter with him, though delivered with her signature nonchalance, seemed important.

"I should be married by the end of this year, and soon afterwards, God willing, an heir or heiress will be produced."

It was almost comical how brazen Integra was in her delivery.

She took another puff of the cigar and averted her eyes from the vampire for a moment, before setting the cigar down on the ashtray.

A shaky sigh from her.

He looked from her slender gloved fingers, to her arms, neck, mouth. He tried to shake off impulsive thoughts already brewing.

"You have decided, then."

"Are you still questioning me, servant? I thought I made myself clear."

"I only mean that you could always make a different decision. Become stronger."

"No," she answered, knowing exactly where he was leading with the statement. "I will not become a creature of the night."

A pause.

"Hm. Well then," he said. "While I am honored you have chosen to trust me with this information, I wonder why it is you chose to tell me."

A few moments of silence passed.

"I chose to tell you so you would see the reason for a request I will ask of you."

"Any request of yours is my command."

She mulled this over. Another pause.

"You do not have to answer my next question," she said simply. "Are you sexually capable?"

At this, he laughed, and Integra grimaced.

"Why wouldn't I be?"

"You are a vampire, a modified creature, an undead, but dead thing," she stated.

The way her voice kept its serious tone, the way she called him a thing. It was a little maddening. Not that he minded. Much.

"I assure you," he said. "I am perfectly capable."

"Good," she said quickly. "You do not have to accept my next request."

"Sir Integra, as I've said, your wish is my command."

"Alucard," her voice verged on the note of a threat. "I insist you do not accept my request simply because you are at my command unless you are completely certain. It must be completely your will."

He smirked.

"Go on..."

"I would," her voice, surprisingly, shook. She cleared her throat and continued.

"I need to ask you if you would consent to being physically and sexually intimate with me. If you agree," she rushed her words, "You would be highly compensated."

Alucard raised his eyebrows, extremely confused for once.

Integra, asking him for such intimacy. What was going on. Highly compensated? What was she thinking? It would be his pleasure. She, lovely and merciless, was no doubt sweeter than any currency she may treat him with.

Integra continued.

"I have not had any such experience and I would like to gain some from someone I know and trust," she admitted, "Before I proceed with a marriage or any childbearing..."

So much in those little words. They did know each other very well, didn't they. She trusted him. It was him she thought of for this. He never felt mightier.

"You may refuse, or take time to think it over."

"Yes."

"As I said-"

He rose from his seat and stepped towards her desk.

"Yes. I accept. It would be my pleasure. You tell me when and where, my Master," he said, picking up her cigar from the tray. "Unless now is a good time."

He puffed and set the cigar back on the tray after he did so.

"Your orders?"

Okay sorry, I'm not trying to start a fight or something but I feel like I have to say something about people saying uswnt players can't do well in European leagues.

Alex Morgan left Orlando Pride for Tottenham to get as much game time as possible after her pregnancy to to secure a spot for the Olympic roster. This move was mainly because Alex wanted to rebuild her fitness after giving birth to Charlie. While she didn't help Tottenham win anything (which btw no one expected her to) she was a vital player for the team off the pitch. I mean - no offense to Tottenham - but at that time they had 10 or 11 players who were 24 or even younger. They were an unexperienced team and Alex, who btw was out for a while because of a knee injury, was always in the stands, helping the team and giving them advice. The players literally said that Alex was an important player to have on the team. She brought experience and quality to a very young team.

Moving on to the city signings. I honestly don't know how you can say that they didn't perform well. Rose and Sammy played a vital part in helping Manchester City win the women's FA Cup. Sammy even scored the opener and her performance against Arsenal in the semi-final is one of the reasons why City even got to the final. While I agree that Rose didn't play as well as she could have, it might have something to do with Taylor playing her as winger when she's in fact a natural 10.

And now let's talk about Tobin. Tobin at Arsenal wasn't it. I agree. But Tobin at Manchester United was pretty good if u ask me. The way she and Pressy played against Arsenal was unbelievable. And her finish in the Manchester Derby also showed just how good she is. In the end, it's not about her struggling but more the entire team so I don't think it's fair to say that they cannot perform when the entire team isn't performing.

So again, I want to say that I don't want to start a fight but I do think American players can perform in European leagues and when they're not, it's not only them but the whole team. I'd also like to add that playing abroad is never easy ESPECIALLY under Covid restrictions so yeah. I hope that didn't sound too harsh or something.

I would like this to be a formal introduction to me, as proof i don't just repost femboy memes all day. My name is Quincy, and I'm 21, Enby, I love baking, and I call myself a writer. I'm not a published writer, and that is a fact that I am incredibly proud of. That's not to say that being a publish author isn't something to flaunt at the Thanksgiving dinner when your parents are wondering what you did with your life and where they went wrong, and uncle Marco is wondering out loud why you're not a conservative like him (and let's be real if your smart you're not going to answer him because that's its own entire can of clams).

I am proud of not having authored a book because *oh my dear* I have wanted to write a book since I was in fourth grade. I can guarantee that I was *awful* in fourth grade.

I was one of those kids who *got* english. I read at a 12th grade reading level at like 10. I understood most of Washingtons inaugural speech by 7th grade.

What I didn't know was what theme was, or what subtext meant, and how important it was to make your dialogue an argument or how to write a metaphor. Setting and pacing and (unfortunately) punctuation were all a little bit out of my scope, and I am still learning the full range of use that they can have.

Does this mean I don't want to be an author because I'm afraid I might know how to write a story better later in life? *A little I guess yeah* but also no! That doesn't stop me from writing like it's going to publish, but the reason I know I can write a publishable book is one very simple lesson I learned in 10th grade thanks to my English teacher. Yaddaw I know you're fruity as hell and you're probably here, if by some miracle you see this, thank you for the five minute free writes. (A fantastic writing exercise that teaches flexibility and creativity btw)

Dont write a book, write a story. Don't publish anything, but write a novel.

It's simple. If you write *solely* to publish the next GoT or acotar or whatever, you're going to write something super forgettable, and you're going to regret it later in life when you finally do publish your art. If you write solely to tell a story, you're going to miss out on super important aspects of the concept of a full story. You need to have balance.

Write three full complete stories when you write one.

Write the surface stuff. Bad guy rides dragon, rides into our heroes village, she finds a dragon and fights the bad guy at the end, and she wins.

Write something genuine -- that really hits home in the uncomfortable parts. I'll go first(hint: this is the most important part): I hate a lot of myself. I hate my torso, I hate my hair, and I view my procrastination as my greatess weakness. I cannot think when I write solely about my work. It drives me to become upset and ultimately abandon my drive to write a story I love.

Then, combine the two. I like the initial idea of a dragon and a village, but let's play with that villain. A hero rides into town one day, ready to save it from a dragon attack. Don't ask why he knows ones coming, because I don't have an answer yet. On his way into town he sees the common signs for a Dragons hunting grounds: dead sheep in their pastures, ruined trees, the outcasts of town have an unusual fear of fire and speak of monolithic beasts plaguing their dreams. Great gouges, twenty years old and scarred in the earth, clue our hero into the idea that these lands have long been the hunting grounds for his wyrm. There is no dragon to save the village from, however, as he comes to realize days after staying in town. The villagers tell him the dragon is real, the evidence supports its existence, yet it is not here and will not present itself to him. Angry that he cannot fulfill his purpose, he leaves and abandons his quest, and commits the village to it's fate. Later that week, the dragon comes, burns the village to the ground. The hero hears of this and returns to the village. The hero returns and, upon finding the ashen remains, swears to himself that he will hunt this beast, and that it must cost him his life. He takes from the village a piece of timber that survived, and the bucket from the well. Our first few chapters are done, and the stage is set for the rest of the story.

There's a bunch here for us to play with, and a bunch of subtext we can include. For me, this could represent procrastination, how our hero leaves and condemns the village to doom despite it's evidence, only seeing the immediate before them. It could represent something more sinister, where the hero wants to have his story as one to be remembered -- the man who avenged the tragedy of [village]. The bucket can represent a number of things, like a metaphor for him dousing the flames with the water of the village. It could be the idea of nourishment, or a vessel for the souls of those lost in the calamity. I've combined our heroine and our villain to make a neutral character, who both is directly responsible for the death of the village and it's revenge, but that raises questions too, like are they responsible at all, and will the death of the dragon absolve them of their crime? This my dears, is nuance, which forms the spine of any story more mature than defining good and evil, and our storys subtext, for me, is the question not only of blame, of responsibility and justice, but also of personal flaws like procrastination, and of the fear of the end of ones story.

Anyways, eat your vegetables, don't feel bad about not being published at 20 or 30 or 40 or 50, and make sure to write your Great Metaphor. Otherwise, it's like to be something you have not shown justice to.

Ok, this pissed me off. Let's try to break this down:

It should be noted that this whole "They are greedy scammers" narrative seems to be rooted solely on misinformation and personal bias. The PMUA, now known as the KGCS, appears to have a good track record of helping artists and not keeping funds and donations to themselves for personal use. And yet the Project Moon fandom calls them scammers because... They once rented a truck with a sign written in broken english? Back when they were still getting started? If you are gonna make that heavy of an accusation, please at least make it make sense. Show evidence.

As to why they have a grudge against Project Moon ever since the Vellmori incident: Project Moon filed defamation charges against them (which got dismissed, btw), all the while they did nothing against the incel hate mob that harassed their own former employee. No legal charges, no direct condemning of their actions. Nothing.

This isn't even something they say. This is just me writing about actual stuff that happened. That's the context of the situation here.

Because this has nothing to do with money. This is not a legal battle to keep the comic because she wants to publish it and keep earning profit from it. From here it is speculation, but given Monggeu's allegations against Project Moon, it is probable that she has a similar motive: Characters and story may belong to Project Moon, but she no longer wants them to use the pages she worked on. Project Moon may have also started this since apparently in Korea, freelancers (contractors) actually keep their copyright by default, so this might be more of Project Moon trying to make Monggeu give up the copyright she has over the part of Leviathan she worked on to them, rather than the other way around.

Also: If the allegations of work mistreatment are true, wouldn't it make sense that the artists would want to keep ownership of their work from a company that has repeatedly shown them disrespect and disregard for their wellbeing?

Here's the thing: I have yet to be presented with a single news article, a single video or interview or tweet, or any other piece of media or information in which Vellmori herself is saying that.

But please understand that in the current state of both South Korea and the gaming industry, it is not unheard of female employees "leaving of their own accord" after the company peer pressured them to quit. I don't blame anyone who thinks that's what happened given the world we live in.

Am I saying that this was an example of this? No, because I don't know if there's enough actual proof of that. But I'm also just not gonna buy the whole "Vellmori left of her own accord and everything was dandy" because of that very same reason: I haven't seen enough proof that's what happened other than the fact Project Moon themselves said that's what happened. And I'm sorry, but anything a company says should always be taken with a grain of salt. Yes, even if it is an indie company. Yes, even if it is a company you love.

I'm just gonna make this a full post because why not. As some of you may know, Project Moon has found itself in more drama. And surprise, it involves misinformation because people dont know how to read. Currently PM is in a legal battle against Monggeu, Mimi and the Game Consumer Association because Monggeu and Mimi are filing copyright on their respective works (Leviathan for Monggeu and Wonder Lab for Mimi).

I'm just gonna start with the GCS. If you've been a fan since before 4.5, you might remember the incredibly stupid Vellmori drama, where a bunch of incels hot mad at the CG artist because the ID artist drew Ishmael in a skin tight wet suit rather than a bikini. I bring this up because the GC went by a different name then, the PMUA, or the Project Moon User Association, a group with no official ties to Project Moon and who slandered the company relentlessly and wanted to bleed every penny from the company because....really just because they could. They are a group who will do anything to see Project Moon burn to the ground, and so in another brilliant idea, are backing Monggeu and Mimi in the lawsuit....except they arent because they themselves have stated that they do not have the money to do so and are asking for donations.

Getting to the copyright stuff, Monggeu and Mimi are filing copyright claims for Leviathan and Wonder Lab respectively, two comics/mangas that are set in the Project Moon universe. However they have an issue, they do not own anything within those comics. Nothing in either of them are by right theirs and are instead owned by PM in their entirety. The best they could hope for is owning the names. PM has already show proof that they worked with Monggeu when it came to Leviathan which completely destroys any claims they could make to owning Leviathan, as PM was working on it as well. Mimi......Mimi is in a weird case as her work would also technically not be hers as Wonder Lab is still set in the PM universe. But PM did take it down when she asked and also made Wonder Lab non-canon....but that just brings up the question of why even do this then? Her work is non-canon and can no longer be viewed officially so why would she even try and fight for the copyright? I dont have an awnser, I'm just asking the question.

This last segment will be used as a PSA for everyone. Please for the love of everything wait till both sides get their side of the story out and actually read what both sides say before making judgments. tldr: Project Moon is fully within their right to fight this false claim as these claims are coming from an outside source that does not own any of the IP and were simply contract work. And these false copyright claimers are also being backed by an organization who hates Project Moon and will do anything to see the company burn, and use misinformation to do it. Dont spread misinformation and if you do it accidentally, try to correct yourself. Misinformation is how innocent people get canceled, lose their jobs or possibly lose their lives. Dont. Spread. It.

I do wanna add something on here (so this is an edit fyi), but Project Moon isnt a perfect company. Perfect is an impossibility. Perfect cannot exist. PM has made mistakes and will keep making them, we all will. Does that mean they should be excused? Absolutely not, that's not how this works. PM isnt perfect, KJH isnt perfect, none of us are perfect, and no one can be perfect. PM has done some stupid things in the past, but they dont deserve this. They do not deserve to be continuously slandered against by a group who is out for their own gain when that same group said they were here to help people. PM is not perfect, but PMUA/GCS is far less perfect than PM could ever be. They are greedy and selfish and will continue to spread misinformation to make PM look bad. You do not need to support or even like PM, but please understand that the other side is far worse and do not care for anyone other than themselves. (This is not talking about Monggeu or Mimi, as far as I'm concerned, they are good people and nothing I'm adding here is against them. Just the PMUA/GC)

2nd edit: it has been confirmed with the official english translation that Mimi and Monggeu were both not just contract work, but effectively temporary PM employees during their contract. These means they were paid as much as any other employee. I did not mention this as I wasnt sure if this was accurate from the translations available. Along with this, according to PM, while Monggeu said it was PM's decision to cancel the manga for Leviathan, it was in fact Monggeu's choice and PM respected and accepted this. I would also like to mention that the letter from the PMUA/GCS stated that because PM didnt directly contribute to Leviathan or Wonder Lab, that PM owned nothing and only Monggeu and Mimi owned everything. One, this is false as PM has already said they worked with both during the creation of Wonder Lab and Leviathan (Wonder Lab had more freedom) and two, personally, that is incredibly insane. Just because I make a new comic in the DC or Marvel universe with some new characters does not mean I own everything in the comic.

I am very skeptical about this, I just don’t feel that he’d do that so casually (it’s a whole Larry is real sign), when we have gotten both of his stunts especially babygate in the last few months. We are still in the middle of the biggest push from Louis’ side in babygate since ever. So I feel like he has zero room for a Larry is real sign acknowledgment right now. If he had acknowledged a blue and green or a tattoo etc, it would have that plausible deniability margin but this? it just doesn’t make sense. He has been made to deny it verbally at the expense of hurting his fans until now and I just can’t believe an acknowledgment would happen this easily. I got a lot of messages like this one and at first I would simply not answer and move on from that topic but then I felt like I should say something because I realised this could be mainly coming from new fans who didn't get to quite fully understand how HL have been communicating over the past decade. This is probably one of those things that you only understand the dynamics when you're living through it and experiencing things in real-time. And we didn't get to experience much in the past two years, so I totally understand why people can be confused. I love new fans' perspectives too, but this is my blog and I felt like giving my opinion more in-depth on this topic. I'm sorry this is going to be long.

First of all, stunts NEVER stopped larry from being extremely obvious and loud. In fact, the times we got the most blatantly obvious "proofs" was when we had some sort of extreme situation with stunts or denials and that was their response to it. They're reactive, it's a pattern, they usually feel the need to communicate when they're feeling like they need to reassure something or when they're probably feeling frustrated. Although I don't particularly think they're doing it for us or to reassure us, it's more like they're doing it for themselves in a way to cope with the situation. (e.g. when Louis got the dagger tattoo after a huge denial, 2014 was probably the year they were being held back a lot and it was one of the loudest years. Harry was basically trying to come out once a week. This is only a very obvious example, there are literally so many situations this happened over the years, guys. Harry and Louis way of communicating is a reaction to something and always has been) So, actually, the fact babygate is being heavily pushed in the last few months is just one more reason to believe Louis really went for it and why he was pretty bold and obvious with it.

There are plenty of plausible deniability and pointing at signs it's not new at all. Although by now it's extremely obvious what happened, people can still believe he didn't unless is proven otherwise, which is not possible. We can't prove he did that. So people can believe whatever they want. Oh my god, they used to point at so many Larry signs while in the band! Harry literally pointed to a girls' arm where larry was written. Louis just pointed at someone's tattoo a few days ago, Harry pointed at a bunch of people wearing masks with Louis' logo in it. There are always a lot of ways to interpret those things, but it happens over and over and over. Those are not coincidences every time, it's happening. Maybe Louis was a little bolder on this one because he kept pointing at it for a really long time and there weren't any other sings around and he happened to point at it on the exact song the sign was referring to. But yeah, this is not new.

And finally, I would just like to address people saying the larry signs are "disrespectful" (fuck I really hate this word) and stuff like that. As I was saying, people always brought Larry signs to 1D concerts, Harry's shows seem like a less safe space for that but people always did it. And Louis' shows already feel like a much safer space, people were actually cheering for the sign in one of the videos, there are a lot of larries attending to the shows. Not sure if we are a majority by now, but a huge part of Louis' fanbase is made of larries. This is the real deal guys, and it's beautiful to see! Larry turned larry into a thing, not us. They keep engaging with it and pointing at it. Louis literally sings Larry call a load of smoke in LMAO. Princess Park is unquestionably the loudest moment of the show. So like... c'mon. They have been shut down their entire lives, we're punching bags. Enough is enough. Now, what I have a problem with, is with things spinning out of control, one thing is for that to happen online and the other thing is to happen IRL. And we can already see that happening. So Louis started flipping people off and now everyone does it all the time, he started to stop the show and give them water so now people are quite literally demanding it to happen multiple times at the show. I really don't want these kinds of larry signs to become a real-life representation of the blue and green hearts on instagram or touch your nose if larry is real. IMO it's okay to be supportive, but not to ask for it you know? It's different, don't be extreme. So I really hope people can understand that difference and not let this become a thingTM because that would be really annoying and even provoke the opposite reaction. Use your brain people, larry is so fucking real.

Does the Player ever take advantage of their vessels' ability to purr? Like after stressful missions and they need to wind down?

What do you think?

I think it'd be cute if the Player wanted to hear them make those noises again but is embarrassed and doesn't know how to properly ask them. Like, they don't know if it could be a sound only made for certain specific situations or for specific people! And they don't want to ask them and come off as rude or prying.

But in reality, their vessels couldn't be more than happy to share their most affectionate sounds with their favorite person.

Sorry if this is long! I've just been stewing this idea for a while and I needed to get your opinion on it!

Hey Strawberry-Anon! (Love your name btw, strawberries are one of my favorite fruits.) I can definitely see the Player using this ability of their vessels to wind down, lord knows you deserve it. But at the same time, you don't really know what significance purring has amongst the grunts of Nevada. It could be something really important, and it would be really rude to just stamp on that just because you wanted some comfort from it. The best course of action is just to ask them about it, but you don't want to offend them in the process.

However, unbeknownst to you, you have special privileges as your vessels' absolute favorite person. They love you beyond belief, and would be delighted to share something so personal and affectionate with you. So when you start trying to ask about it in a sort of awkward, roundabout way, they're quick to take it as a sign to do it more often around you. (Though they (specifically Doc and Sanford) do explain how important it is for grunts in general; more of a sign of trust and genuine love than anything, and something they only do if they're completely comfortable around the other person. Which actually kind of flusters you, not gonna lie.)

After hearing about this, they all try to do it far more often around you. They'll even pull you closer into embraces and cuddles so you can feel the soothing vibrations against you, loud against your ear as they press your head into their chest. It's all you need to relax at the end of a long day, and they get a special kind of satisfaction from seeing you so content and happy with them.

Surely it's also proof that they'd be perfect partners for you, why else would this reaction come to be?
