Nickel Boys (15): An Astonishing and Deeply Affecting Movie Masterpiece.
One Mann's Movies Film Review of "Nickel Boys". As the poster screams "A New American Masterpiece" and I quite agree. Stunning. 5/5.
A One Mann’s Movies review of “Nickel Boys” (2024) (From the 2024 London Film Festival). Wow… just Wow. If I hear the words “And the Oscar for Best Picture goes to…. Nickel Boys” I would be surprised… (I doubt it will get the marketing required)… but I would also be delighted. Bob the Movie Man Rating: “Nickel Boys” Plot Summary: It’s Tallahassee in the ’60s. Elwood (Ethan Herisse) is a…

You know, I used to be firmly in the camp of HC-ing Peri as having actually died since her survival always seemed a bit out of nowhere & tacked on (esp. since Bryant apparently wasn't told about it & apparently requested that her character be killed off), but after seeing "Tales of the TARDIS", I ended up getting quite attached to the idea of this badass, successful future version of her & the idea that the Doctor would come across catchy songs written about her exploits as the Warrior Queen, or even possibly reunited with her for a bit when she was older for some further adventures.
Cause, she was always did have her share of badass moments even if the writers could defs have utilized her better.
Now I'm kinda picturing 12 playing some 'Ode to the Warrior Queen' on his guitar & then telling Bill & Nardole about how he actually met her.

will never get over the fact that they made nicola bryant film on a freezing cold beach somewhere in the uk in the middle of January wearing one of the skimpiest flimsy outfits. and then she ended up with pneumonia and actual frostbite !! poor girl was so cold she was literally turning blue between takes (their response was apparently to slap her face to make her cheeks look more red). They did wrap up filming early in the end but that was only because Nicola was wheezing so badly she could barely speak (she’s also asthmatic which just adds another layer of wtf to all this)

In 1985, the time traveling alien known as the Doctor (Doctor 6) and his companions arrived in England to find they were not the only ones time traveling. The Cybermen had stolen a time machine so they could destroy the Earth before Earth destroyed their planet in 1986. ("Attack of the Cybermen", Doctor Who, vlm 1, TV)
