I think it’d be extremely fun if the Doctor wore weird, ever-changing earrings—switching them out every adventure to match where they’re going (or at least where they meant to go before the TARDIS had other plans).

And they wouldn’t just be for fashion—they’d do things. One pair could double as a portable force field you can take off and throw down. Another could unfold into a fully functional map. One might just be edible, because you never know when you’ll get stranded somewhere with no food and the vending machine only takes 23rd-century credits.

It could even be a subtle way to nod at past who things without overshadowing the current story. Maybe one time the earrings are just little celery stalks. Or they use a pair that releases some sort of corrosive goo to dissolve a door, and the Doctor casually mentions they were an anniversary gift from river and that she'd love that they worked.

My friend has not seen all of classic who and he keeps confusing Colin Baker with Tom Baker and I simply don't know how that's possible. "Are they related?" When I first heard the thing about ace running a charity back on earth after her time with the doctor I thought it was some small thing with her helping out where she could and doing hands on work to improve peoples lives like she would do with the doctor, just on a smaller scale, and that made sense to me, seemed completely like something she would do. And then I learned she was actually a ceo of some big organization and lived in a penthouse apartment

Theory: anything can regenerate, it’s just extremely unlikely. Like your hand passing through a solid object because the atoms arranged themselves perfectly. But time lords are lords of probability, and regeneration is their most impressive trick. This is completely unsupported by anything, but it would be cool. And making regeneration weirder is a noble goal
