What’s funny is that this isn’t just Bruce, Anchor, and Chum who are cuddly sharks— shark species like nurse sharks and white-tip reef sharks sleep en-masse in piles! Scientists theorize that this behavior may be for both security and socialization, which is usual in many species!

Finding Nemo (Rewrite) - Dinner Table/This Wish

INT. ANEMONE HOME - NEMO'S COTTAGE - NIGHT

Nemo, Marlin, and Dory sit in disappointment and solemn, having pea & ham soup, fruitcake, and roast lamb for dinner. Marlin pours tea and apple juice in each cups.

MARLIN

Come now, we don’t waste food. Dig in and enjoy.

DORY

You’re right, Marlin. We should be looking at the bright side. Nemo, you got to the final few being considered for the most prestigious position in the ocean. And Marlin, there’s always next time.

MARLIN

Cheers to that.

Dory looks Nemo in disappointment and solemn.

DORY

Nemo?

NEMO

Dad, I need to tell you something.

MARLIN

Tell me what, my son?

NEMO

I don’t think, um, your wish… will ever be granted.

MARLIN

What?

DORY

Why would you say such a thing?

NEMO

Because Bruce told me so. He said it’s too dangerous to grant.

MARLIN

(SURPRISED) My wish is dangerous?

NEMO

No. That’s the thing. I don’t think it is at all.

DORY

You… You saw it?

I did. And you should know what it is.

MARLIN

Well, clearly Bruce feels otherwise, so…

Nemo opens the door, and runs through the forest.

As Nemo runs through the forest, then he trips, but grabs himself in a tree, he wipes his tears.

As he continue to wander through the forest, Nemo sings.

Nemo saws the wishing tree, he remembers where his mother and father used to sit with them in the past. As this point, Nemo continues to sing as he runs towards it and climbs its branches.

In the sky, a star brightens, forcing Nemo to shield his eyes. So bright that its light covers Coral Reef's and Anemone Home’s entire sky.

MARLIN

Can you feel it?

It shines through the coral reef, washing everyone in its comforting glow. Everyone looks at the light in awe and joy. Even The Tank Gang, Destiny, Bailey, Hank, Chum and Anchor.

Everyone, that is, except Bruce, who is up in a study, also sees the light from outside his window but doesn’t have the chance to pay much attention to it. A noise comes from the wishes and he looks up to see all of them shaking with great intensity.

BRUCE

(SHOCKED) What’s happening? (BREATHING HEAVILY) No. No, no, no.

The camera cuts to show that the light is no longer coming from the sky, but within the forest before it disappears completely. Chum and Anchor opens the doors to the study, showing that they walked there.

CHUM

Bruce? Oh, you spoil us with your magic.

ANCHOR

Whatever that was, it was marvelous.

BRUCE

I didn’t do it.

CHUM & ANCHOR

What?

BRUCE

And it affected my wishes. Is it some sort of warning? I believe I have just been threatened.

ANCHOR

Who would dare threaten you?

Hero found themselves in quite a precarious position, swinging upside down with their foot caught in a snare.

Now, this wasn’t exactly uncommon for them. Getting caught in a trap was nothing new. Such was the perilous life of a hero after all. What was unusual, though, was the pit of crystal clear water beneath them.

Oh, and the dozen or so sharks swimming around in it.

They were suspended over a pool fit for Olympic swimming. Hero was no marine biologist, but they were pretty sure those sleek grey fish weren’t dolphins.

Coarse rope dug into their ankle, but Hero found they didn’t mind too much. They had the core strength to be able to reach the knot but, unfortunately, untying it would probably send them plummeting into the water, and Hero wasn’t particularly up for such a literal swim with the fishes today.

Deciding to save their strength, Hero hung limp, tucking their shirt into their pants and leaving their arms to flop loosely with gravity.

Soon, the one responsible for their current predicament made themselves known from the ground.

“Welcome, Hero!” The villain’s voice boomed excitedly.

There was no catwalk, nothing covering the top of the tank. That left Villain to stand next to the glass at the bottom and having to yell up the dangling hero.

Before Hero could think to ask what they were doing here, Villain answered unprompted, “I wanted to show you my new collection!”

“Is this…legal?” Hero questioned, the words difficult to form with the blood rushing to their head.

“Absolutely not!” The villain exclaimed.

Right. That was probably the point.

“Are they…ok?”

Hero blinked hard, trying to stay present in the conversation.

“Who? Bruce, Anchor, Chum, Brooklyn, Barbara, Mark, Lori, Robert, Kevin, Lennie, Daymond, Nado, and Krill?

Their processing was gradually slowing down but those names seemed…oddly familiar.

“The…the sharks.”

Hero supposed they didn’t look too unhappy, chilling in their own space, not circling for an impending meal. Hero certainly couldn’t claim animal cruelty with the size of the aquarium. The oversized fish must be well fed to be able to coexist like this, which was…concerning for the hero, to say the least.

Their vision blurred as they watched a pointed fin breach the surface.

They realized belatedly that they were about to pass out.

“And they’re just fine with each other?”

“Oh, you see, that’s where my new invention comes in-“

The sound of Villain’s voice faded out as Hero’s consciousness slipped away.

…

They awoke to the sight of teeth flashing in front of them. They tried to scramble back before their brain could process the several-feet thick wall between them and the apex predator.

“You’ve been quite a rude guest.”

Hero turned to the source of the voice, finding Villain standing over them. The rope that had previously entrapped just one ankle now looped both feet together, as well as connecting both their wrists.

“I’m…sorry?” Hero spoke carefully.

That seemed like a reasonable answer, given their ultimate goal of not ending up as chum.

“You fainted before I could finish my monologue,” Villain pouted, crossing their arms and looking down at the Hero sitting against the wall of the tank.

“That’s…uh, my bad,” Hero answered, preoccupied with wondering when the sharks’ last meal was.

“Please, continue.”

Villain crouched down, looking intently into the Hero’s eyes as they started to explain.

“First, you have to understand the aggression patterns of bull sharks vs those of great whites and tigers…”

And that’s how Hero learned way more about Selachimorpha than they ever wished to know.

✨ With the help & inspiration from @deathanilerhellsking , old mate Brucey has been graced as a monster in the same world with Mike and Sulley & with the original addition of Ryan and Jonah ! ✨

Beast Bruce has the same laidback, roughhouse charm and jokester personality as his Great white counterpart part in down under 🇦🇺✨

- His former occupation was scarer at MI, but ultimately, he and his mate’s, Chum and Anchor, found their home away from home at Fear Co where a proud Johnny saw right at Bruce’s mammoth contribution to the company!

Bruce does have old acquaintances at MI and now and then pays a visit to his old stomping grounds, while also giving some sarcastic scolds to the cooperations use of ‘laugh’ power. 🃏

Bruce catches on about Pete’s particular bond with a HUMAN child, and with fresh knowledge of this particular boy’s love for monsters, Bruce doesn’t pass the opportunity to - ‘introduce’ himself to the young morsel- I mean, lad. 😅

What happened next when Bruce blew up the submarine?

Afterwards? Regret, mostly. Guilt. Because Bruce “sees red” and can’t remember most of what he does during a frenzy, Anchor and Chum had to catch him up on what he… ‘missed’.

And as for Bruce? He couldn’t stop thinking about how he might have killed the one fish who approached him fearlessly and without judgment; and a father who had put all fear of a dangerous ocean behind him to rescue his son— an endeavor that Bruce knew his own father would never do.

Of course, they all eventually find out Marlin and Dory are alive thank goodness!

On a bright note I think I saw Sonia Sae (fox girl) has dropped that lifestyle, not looking up if the fox is ok or not because if it's not I don't want to know.

PETA anti shearing adverts are awful too, just if you need another way they don't care about animals, over 10's of thousands of years humans have selectively bred sheep and llamas and alpacas and other animals to grow a thick lustrous wool that we use to make fabric from, in exchange they get food and protection from predators right up till they become dinner for the humans.

They need those haircuts or they'll die, we as a species did this to them as a species so until they can breed that out of them those animals need the haircuts or they'll bake in their own fluff.

I wonder how much of all of that thinking from the different groups is intentional genocide of both the human race and the various animal species that will cease to exist as well and how much is just them being stupid.

Katie (OC/persona) — A young girl who has a deep belief in the existence of merpeople and a childhood dream of becoming a mermaid. Born in the sleepy little seaside town of Mermaid Harbour, Katie longs for more excitement, adventure and a means to escape from constantly being reprimanded by her stepfather and the harsh life on dry land.

She meets and befriends the two mermaid princess sisters, Lexie and Natty after they saved her during a storm at sea.

When her stepdad did the unthinkable during a heated argument, tearing out her sketchbook, Katie tearfully runs away from home and runs into the dreaded Sea Devil, who offers her to make her deepest dream come true… for a price she will not know until a later a date…

Lexie (@akluthor1998’s OC/persona) — The eldest princess of the undersea kingdom of Aquaria and one of the mermaids Katie befriends. As the oldest of the two sisters, Lexie is the heir to the throne. She is brave, strong-willed, feisty and has a fiery temper on her but she is also sweet, kind, loyal and devoted to her people, friends and loved ones.

She also has a crush on the human Liam, Katie’s only friend since high school. She also caught the unwanted attention of the Sea Devil’s good for nothing lackey, King Dice.

Natty (@nataliepthatsme’s OC/persona) — The youngest sister and princess of Aquaria. Natty is sweet, kind, helpful and funny. She can also have her spunky and snarky side. Alongside Lexie, she’s easily fascinated by human food technology and culture.

Bubbles (OC) — Lexie and Natty’s loyal pet dolphin. Further details will be explained later.

Cuphead and Mugman (Cuphead) — Two young mer-cups who are friends of Lexie and Natty.

Elder Kettle (Cuphead) — An elderly mer-kettle and the Cup Brothers’ parental guardian.

King Aquarius (OC) — Lexie and Natty’s father and the king of Aquaria.

Villains

The Devil (Cuphead) — Otherwise as the Sea Devil among the residents of Aquaria and the entire oceans. Much like his cannon counterpart, he plays tricks on the locals and manipulates them into giving him their souls.

For years he had tried to control of the entire ocean with zero luck thanks to King Aquarius and his magic spear. But all of that will soon change when he has his eye on the emotional vulnerable Katie…

King Dice (Cuphead) — The Devil’s right hand merman. Sleazy and slippery as an eel, Dice is someone not to be trusted much less mess with. He seems to have a villainous crush on Lexie.

Others

Bruce, Anchor and Chum (Finding Nemo) — A trio of sharks who want to change their image by running a redemption club where they follow a sacred policy: “Fish are friends, not food”. They are very tolerant and affably towards merpeople but humans is a bit an issue they have to work out.

Crush and Squirt (Finding Nemo) — Crush is a very laidback sea turtle who the group meet upon their adventure. He, his young son, Squirt and their group, often visit Aquaria during migration. He and the other turtles are super impressed to meet Katie when they find out she’s a human with a dream to live in the ocean as a mermaid.

Twst Oc Ideas (That I’m currently focusing on)

So I do actually plan on making more Twst ocs other than Usagi 😂. These are the ones I’m putting primary focus on.

1. The Fearsome Five - Darkwing Duck

Idk if anyone has any Twst ocs based on any of the Disney Afternoon show villains yet… but I don’t give a shit I’m doing this anyway 😂. They are based on the 5 main-ish villains from Darkwing Duck: Megavolt, Bushroot, Quackerjack, The Liquidator, and Negaduck. These are the ocs that are currently the most developed (just need to make their designs lol). I’ll reveal their names and dorms for now

Megavolt - Castella Sparkvolt, part of the Ignihyde Dorm

Bushroot - Tino Rosebush, part of the Pomefiore Dorm

Quackerjack - Jax Harlequin, part of the Heartslabyul Dorm

Liquidator - Beck Loman, part of the Octavinelle Dorm

Negaduck - Sterling Doppelt, part of the Diasomnia Dorm

2. Peg-Leg Pete

Out of curiosity I looked up if anyone’s made an oc based on Pete yet and I’m honestly surprised no one has yet. Or maybe someone did and I’m just looking in the wrong places idk. Jim Peters is a name I’ve been thinking, not that creative I might change it later on, but his first name is a reference to Jim Cummings, his current VA. And Pete is a surname, my logic is that if Honest John's Twst counterpart is named Fellow Honest, then my Pete character can have Peters or even just Pete as his last name. But anyway, if I had to choose a dorm… maybe Heartslabyul or hell maybe Octavinelle because of Steamboat Willie. Though an idea I’ve had is that… he joins Ramshackle with Usagi, Usagi has that arc where they start to embody their role as dorm leader... though of course it takes adjusting since it's just that one house rn but they make it work.

3. Mortimer Mouse

Speaking of the Mickey & Friends cast. Mortimer's twst counterpart is another character I feel would either be in the official dorms, maybe Heartslabyul, or be in a similar situation to Jim in where he's placed in Ramshackle (he'd be forced to go on the fucking couch in the living room area💀). His name would be Maurice Slicker. Another voice actor reference, this being Maurice LaMarche. Slicker is a reference to what I believe Mortimer was originally known as. Overall, an excuse to make a character who’s a complete asshat yet is also a constant punching bag character 😂. Who also says stuff like Ha-Cha-Cha a lot lol.

4. Bill Cipher - Gravity Falls

Is this an excuse to make a humanoid Bill design yet still have him as his own character? Yes… yes it is 😂. My name idea for him… Alex Goldeye. I feel like that would be his “mortal name”. The idea of a chaos lord attending Nights Ravens college and just vibing there until just deciding to start shit cause he can interests me.

5. .GIFfany - Gravity Falls

Okay look… I have a soft spot for yandere characters okay? His name would be .GIFfard and his obsession would be Usagi… because this poor Prefect seems to attract all the trouble. He’d eventually get a humanoid body and be placed in the Ignihyde. Albeit his obsessiveness toned down a bit because he’s lowkey terrified of Malleus.

Now for… Characters that are still priority but I still need to come up with names for… with some facts included.

6. Shere Khan - The Jungle Book

At first it’d be a no brainer he’d be in Savanaclaw, but then I had moment and was like… what if he was in Scaracia, so he’d be a subtle nod to Rajah from Aladdin.

7. AUTO & GO4 - WALL-E

More sentient AI robot characters cause I love those kinds of characters. Both in Ignihyde for obvious reasons. Also GO4’s character is feral af like constantly hisses at people.

8. King Candy/Turbo & Sour Bill - Wreck it Ralph

Yes… just Yes. Ignihyde Dorm.

9. The Big Bad Wolf - The Three Little Pigs

Another character that could potentially be in Ramshackle… otherwise Savanaclaw.

10. Bruce, Anchor, & Chum - Finding Nemo

//Actually that was intentional. During the commentary Andrew Stanton (the director) mentioned that he wanted the reef to have an ‘international feeling’ to it, i.e. Bostonian lobsters, British swordfish, etc. However, Stanton and co-director Lee Unkrich wanted the sharks to be portrayed as these “guys from the outback” and hired Aussie actors Barry Humphries, Eric Bana, and New Zealand actor Bruce Spence to play Bruce, Anchor, and Chum, respectively. As for the Tank Gang, “who knows where they came from”, although there was a paragraph in the Finding Nemo: Essentials Guide saying that Jacques was a gift to the dentist from a government official in France, hence the cleaner shrimp’s accent. Additionally, all of the pelicans had Aussie accents, along with the dentist and secretary. Them being locals, they have the Australian accent. 

Has anyone ever wondered why none of the fish in finding Nemo have Australian accents but the Pelicans and crabs do?
